When it comes time to make a grocery shopping trip, it can be difficult to buy the most healthy foods when there is all of that junk food starring you right in the face. This is why it's important to make a list of all of the foods that you want to buy and only stick to that list. If you are trying to get into better shape, live a more healthy lifestyle and detoxify your body, you need to make a healthy grocery list for when you go to the store.
Putting Bread on Your Healthy Grocery List
Bread items are some of the best foods that you can eat when you are detoxifying. Some breads and items from the bakery that should be on your list are:
- Whole wheat bread: Wheat bread is much more healthy for you than white bread is. Along with whole wheat, you should also try to eat whole grain bread as well.
- Whole-grain flour tortillas: Eat these with some light cheese melted in them for a good side dish or even a main meal.
Putting Cereal and Breakfast Foods on Your Healthy Grocery List
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, don't forget. This means that you should put foods on your list that are very good for you such as:
- Instant oatmeal: Oatmeal is a very healthy breakfast choice and many types contain a lot of fibre. The oatmeal should be steel cut.
- Multi-grain cereal: It can also be whole-grain as well. When buying cereal or cereal bar, aim for more fibre and less sugar. To make your cereal and oatmeal better tasting, add some dry fruit or berries. You can also use nuts.
Buying Fibre for Detoxifying Your Body
The best thing that you can eat when you are aiming to detoxify your body is fibre. Add these items to your next grocery list:
- Brown rice: If you are trying to get a lot of fibre, brown rice is one of the best foods that you can eat. It is low in calories which means that it will help you lose weight.
- Fresh vegetables: Some vegetables that contain a lot of fibre are artichokes, radishes, broccoli, beets, cabbage and seaweed. While some of these may not sound like your favourite vegetables, they are still great for cleaning out system.
- Fresh fruits: There are many fresh fruits that contain a lot of fibre, such as raspberries, pears with skin, strawberries, oranges, raisins, bananas and dried figs.
When it comes to eating healthy to have a better diet and to detoxify your body, all of the foods above will help you do that. Remember that you want to eat more fibre and you want to eat less sugar in all the foods that you buy.
The most important step to a healthier life is the change to a healthy diet. Get more information from the free copy of my e-book report to make better choices!

One of the biggest health concerns that most developed countries experience today is obesity. Being overweight leads to dramatic health complications such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases which can be fatal later in life. Secondary to that, health concerns like hypertension and even osteoarthritis develop due to excess weight. While many people look at quick fixes such as diet pills, the reality is this - many health conditions associated with obesity can be corrected with a healthy eating plan. Yes, it all begins in disciplining your attitude towards food. Food should be mainly consumed as the body's fuel.
In fact, even people who need not lose weight should consider a healthy eating plan. Why? Because this helps them from developing metabolic disorders later on. If you start right with your food intake, then you need not worry about blood chemistry results later in your life. While most of your peers would complain of soaring blood sugar levels or high uric acid, you would still be eating any food you want. So, what is the key to a healthy eating plan? Here are some pointers worth considering that can lead to a healthy lifestyle.
1. Choose natural food sources. Food should be simple because it should mainly supply your body's needs for growth and repair. This would mean avoiding processed foods that are heavily laden with sodium. Preserved food like canned goods should be avoided. Preservatives are not suitable for human consumption especially when ingested for a long period.
2. Detoxify your body once in a while. This could mean fasting for a day using juice; however, prolonged periods of fasting can cause electrolyte imbalance so be careful about this. Detoxification must also involved exercise because our body detoxifies when we perspire.
3. Hydrate well. This is a must for any healthy eating plan. You can stuff yourself with food but water is primarily responsible for bringing nutrients to the cells. Drinking six to eight glasses of water a day ensures better metabolism and digestion. Food is useless when it is not properly digested and eliminated by the body.
4. Drink alcohol moderately. The kidney along with the liver is responsible for filtering unwanted substances in the body. Most of the unhealthy substances you put in your system is part of your choice. So if you burden your organs with dangerous substances aside from alcohol, health consequences are not far behind.
5. Educate yourself. Learn about healthy eating habits by checking the new food pyramid. Better yet, consult a dietician or nutritionist. Every individual has unique nutritional needs based on their genetics and existing lifestyle. Hence, a sound healthy eating plan begins by understanding your needs.
Aside from proper food intake, wellness can be enhanced by pursuing an active lifestyle. You feel stronger and more energetic when you exercise. Couple a good workout program with a healthy eating plan and you would see results in a short time. Just be consistent with your good habits and your body will reward you for it. Transform your life by feeling good inside and out. Start today and enjoy a new life.
The most important step to a healthier life is the change to a healthy diet. Get more information from the free copy of my e-book report to make better choices!

I'm about to reveal a great tool that's available to anyone on the planet, but which only a small percentage ever take advantage of. It's a power given to us by God as part of His creation. If you already read my article, “Why Meditate and Do We Really Need to Meditate for Spirituality?”, then you're already familiar with some of the reasons why meditation is important. (If you haven't read it, I suggest you do so before proceeding.) Regardless of your motivation or method, adding meditation to your routine, even for just a short period each week, will bring many benefits to your soul.
So how do I start meditating, you might ask?
First and foremost, you should meditate your own way. If you are a Pathian – one who walks his own unique path – then just like me, you will eventually meditate in a way that feels wholly suited to your individual tastes. I have to admit that it was not until I had been meditating for quite some time that I developed my own way, and I did so by educating myself on the many techniques available to me.
However, my beginnings were based on one particular book that caught my attention because it broke down the process in a very easy-to-follow way. Each chapter outlined simple stages of meditation that were designed for weekly practice. What made me reach for this book in the first place? It was a claim on the dust jacket by the author that anyone can meditate for eight minutes a day, something I really wanted to be true, as it would fit perfectly with my lifestyle. The book I'm talking about is “8 Minute Meditation,” by Victor Davich. This book changed my life for the better by giving me the basic tools I needed to approach meditation. It was a great trade off: give up eight minutes a day in order to positively affect the other 23 hours and 52 minutes.
I don't want you to think I'm under some obligation to promote Davich's book in any way. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of books written on the subject of meditation for you to choose from; but I like this particular book because I know it works and is simple enough for novices. Moreover, The Path, as you know, is all about simplicity.
Whichever way you choose, whether it's a book, an audio book, or the instruction of a friend, learn from skilled and experienced practitioners who have already ventured into this amazing practice. It's crucial that you stay consistent, don't rush and never give up. Just like any other field of practice, mastering meditation requires time and dedication, but eventually the effects will show.
Meditation is just like exercising. You must first learn the proper techniques and, as you progress, the physical effects will manifest on your body. As you educate yourself, you will be able to experiment with new routines that fit your own unique style. Meditation requires practice and patience before its inner effects are visible. Just like your body's health will improve with exercise, so will your mind.
I remember the first time I started looking into meditation – I wanted it to be like magic. I thought with the right book saying the right things, I would simply slip into a meditative state and find myself in a mystical fantasy land. Boy, was I wrong. In fact, my whole approach to meditation was wrong. I even wrongly thought I would look foolish meditating. Bottom line, there is no magical world that you transcend into when meditating. Months of continued practice are usually required before a focused state of meditation can actually be achieved. And instead of a fantasy land, it is a vast cavern of emptiness, darkness and solitude.
Please, don't take my word on the benefits of meditation. Or anyone's words for that matter. You just need to try it for yourself. After all, what is eight minutes out of a vast 24-hour cycle? You could spend more time than that shaving in the morning or waiting in the drive-thru.
If you're still reading this, I assume you want to try meditation. So here is what you need to do:
1. Find a great book that gives a clear guide to the type of meditation you would like to practice.
2. Set aside at least eight minutes each day where you can be alone to practice the stages of meditation in quiet seclusion.
3. Do not give up. This cannot be understated. Just like any other practice, meditation requires commitment.
4. Do not expect miracles. If you practice to become a marathon runner, you will likely never make it to the Olympics, but the health benefits will be tangible nonetheless.
5. Stay consistent.
I know many people erroneously believe that meditation is difficult or baseless. After all, we're so use to being bombarded with information that meditation is no longer “relevant.” So if you still require more convincing, I'll soon publish a series of articles done by people who have been meditating longer than I have. Perhaps they will be able to shed some light on simple techniques for meditation that they have used and the specific benefits they have realized as a result.

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
Throughout human history, we've been fascinated by the idea that the soul will survive the physical body's demise. This belief sprung a never-ending debate between those who wished to validate that claim and those who wished to invalidate it. The afterlife has piqued minds from Ancient Egypt, where shamans spoke of traveling to other worlds as if they had been there firsthand, to the modern West, where an undying fascination with psychics and mediums tempts us with a glimpse into the unknown.
Today, people find themselves defending vastly divergent viewpoints on the subject matter. Organized religions say we shouldn't doubt the authenticity of their holy books, and therefore shouldn't test or question the existence, manner and purpose of the afterlife either. Mainstream science and atheists say the existence of the afterlife should not be sought at all due to the obvious absurdity of such claims, as any search for something fictional would be to admit it has some probability.
Where does this drive to debate the afterlife come from? Moreover, why do most of us need to know whether the afterlife exists? The answer is simple: Fear. Specifically, fear of the unknown. We're afraid that life on this tiny planet has no meaning if it simply ends with the darkness of non-existence. We want assurance that our lives somehow continue. We want a glimpse of what that afterlife is like. We want to remove the fear.
In my book 111 The Path, I details my conversations with spirits from the afterlife. Through them we learn that life does not end with death, and that death is merely a transition to a place where many paths of existence open up (albeit not necessarily better ones), thereby offering us an opportunity to evolve through them. Like others who claim to speak with spirits, I can't present no hard physical evidence confirming the existence of the afterlife. All I can do is relate my experiences, conversations and the imagery I've received. The believing part is up to you.
Humans have always been fascinated with the unknown. I doubt there's a person alive today who wants to live in a world where everything is known – where we're denied the use of gifts that God has bestowed on us like curiosity and inquisitiveness. If God revealed himself to us, how would that affect organized religion and individual faith? What if science had all the answers? What if the afterlife's existence was an incontestable fact? What if we knew the purpose of the afterlife as it relates to the grand scheme of our existence? The answer is, you don't want to know for a fact that it exists. Why? Because it will remove the purpose of our existence in the physical world by blocking our necessary experiences, thereby blocking our spiritual evolution. Can you imagine living life with no fear? Not being afraid of death? What life would that be? Let that settle in for a moment.
I'm currently working on my second book, which will cover the subject of the afterlife. To be clear, that was not part of the original plan. My intention was only to ask the spirits about things that could happen in the physical dimension; but because you have a strong say on the routes my conversations take, and since I have to admit my thirst for this knowledge is often unquenchable, I decided to concentrate on this subject before we moved on.
The spirit guides understand our thirst for answers; after all, we're one and the same. But they also warn us not to get too fixated on the destination. The paths themselves, both here and there, have so much to offer. Since it would take eons for technology to bridge the gap between the dimensions, it is best to concentrate on what's important: our life here. Family, friends, business and spirituality all contribute to our continued journey through the afterlife.
So what's it like there? How do we get there? How do we get back? Do we have family there? What do we do for fun? What does it look like? Are there destinations beyond the afterlife? All these questions will be answered in my next book. Just know that the afterlife is not what you're likely accustomed to. It's not a place of serenity where the sky is always blue, birds chirp in happiness, harp music fills the air, and everybody lives in perfect harmony. However, through my conversations, I've learned that the afterlife is still a great place that shares many similarities to our dimension and is just as diverse. For now, I will leave you with this revelation: you personally have the power to decide whether the afterlife is a path or a destination.

Gold coming week, we are not hoping any candid performance on gold that can move higher. We are indeed expecting price volatility on gold in the next week. The investment demand which rose in the recent past has started to decline again and investment holdings are managing below 800 tons. In the other hand Fed's comment is also likely to weigh on gold. As per the latest comments from minutes of the Fed's FOMC meeting suggest that the Fed may continue to trim down its asset purchase programme. However, on the other hand, the recent economic data released from the US are turning unenthusiastic which might probably bring investment and safe haven buying demand on gold. Therefore, we are able to see a numerous factors weighing on gold commodity so believe it to trade in a very confined range. Meanwhile, the overall bearish scenario on gold has not changed yet. Post that gold witnessed a record fall over 25% in 2013; it's the mere buying/recovery that are being felt in 2014 by driving price higher over 10%. However, structural issues still prevails on gold. The investment demand from the west have been muted, the jewellery demand is still low in Asian countries especially in India. As long as the economic releases continue to remain lower, and the euro currency advances possibly gold may remain on a marginally bullish tone. Looking at the above scenario we believe gold may remain subdued however, the economic data releases in the next week, suggest that the numbers may be further disappointing for the economy which may probably support gold to trade higher. Meanwhile, any further development on euro currency to trade either ways may make gold to trade on a volatile trend.
At the domestic front, we expect gold prices might not fall much from the current levels as initially Indian rupee may trade on a weaker note. While, spot demand is expected to remain mostly stable. Overall, at the domestic front we expect gold prices to trade higher while at the global front market may remain jittery as well as volatile
Gold's April MCX futures prices traded higher in the last week. As of 21 February, 2014 prices are trading at 29891(3:56 PM IST). According to the Fibonacci principle, prices have retraced almost 78.6 percent (29883) of the fall from 30516 to 27517. We might see pullbacks before the uptrend resumes. On the weekly chart, prices are hovering in a trend channel and witnessing a trend channel resistance near 29950. The pivot point is seen at 29840. Support at 29429/28968/28092 Resistance at 30305/30720/31596. For short-term traders, we suggest buying near the support levels
Silver COMMING week expected to trade higher and likely that it may also outperform gold. In this regard we could probably initiate a ratio strategy where in we need to buy silver and sell gold future contracts. The reasons for expecting silver to trade strong are the rising physical demand in India and the investment holdings of silver at the I-shares holdings have increased. The investment holdings have increased from 335200 Toz to 336900 Toz. Meanwhile, the spot demand is moderately rising in India. Silver ready prices surged over Rs. 50 to 47,550 per Kg and weekly based delivery of Rs. 140- 15 to Rs. 47,350 per Kg. However, silver cons remained steady near Rs. 88,000 for buying and Rs. 89,000 for selling of 100 pieces
We believe silver commodity may trade strong in the next week. Besides, the global economic scenario is also explained in detail in our weekly economic report. Also, at the local market we hold a bullish view on silver while we expect it to result minimal profits on the buy trade. Lastly, we also recommend taking gold and silver ratio trade strategy for the next week.
Silver March MCX futures prices are expected to remain higher for the week ahead. Strong support is seen at 46000 levels, which is likely to hold the upside view for the week ahead. On the higher side stiff resistance is seen at 46245(61.8 percent retracement of the range 51881-42363). A significant break above 48245 could lead the gains to move towards 49844 levels. For short term traders we suggest buying on dips.

21st Century Australia Party Founder Jamie McIntyre says: 'if people think that the AEC is just incompetent and not involved in more questionable suspect behaviour, then they are naïve'.
Ex candidate for the seat of New England, Jamie McIntyre was the first to allege wrongdoing by the AEC even before Clive Palmer took a stand against their suspect and incompetent practices.
McIntyre says that the AEC needs to be replaced and a new body that is both competent and eliminates questionable tactics should be founded to run elections for the 21st Century.
HERE IS A RECENT STATEMENT RELEASED BY JAMIE MCINTYRE REGARDING AEC'S ALLEGED INTERFERENCE:
The fact that we don't vote online in the age of the Internet is a joke. AEC claiming that online voting isn't safe is nonsense as the current system is designed to maximise vote rigging.
Why else are there only pencils and not pens to vote? Why are there no ID checks to vote? Why are names deliberately added to electoral roles of people who don't exist? Many voters are unable to be found on the list despite being registered voters and the fact that anyone can vote as many times as they like at different booths on Election Day is signs of a system designed to enable election rigging if and when needed.
Much of this is gross incompetence, but that is not the biggest issue at hand as not all of it can be explained as simple bureaucratic bungling.
When I was running for the Federal Electorate of New England against Barnaby Joyce and Tony Windsor (until he quit), I was shocked at the number of legitimate and credible allegations raised against the AEC regarding how vote rigging occurs.
This shouldn't have surprised me, especially after studying the 1993 election, which many claim was clearly rigged by the Labor Party and was perhaps one of the most disgraceful episodes in our political history.
Yet where are the investigative journalists that have the courage to call a suspect system open to corruption when they see it?
I made serious complaints against the AEC about how they deliberately prevented 21st Century Australia Party from being able to run in the elections- despite having 900 registered members even though only 500 were required.
Yet conveniently many of these registered voters couldn't be found.
Moreover, we had done everything necessary and on time, however, they still used every dirty, questionable, dodgy and incompetent trick in the book to ensure that the application had to be resubmitted several times in order to stretch it out for three long months.
All they had to do was simply cross check 500 names off a list (3 hours work at the most for a junior staff member) but they deliberately delayed it to the very exact day they required to ensure that the party couldn't run on the original election date by exactly one day.
Despite having 900 members they would only allow 550 to be submitted at any given time. Therefore all they would need to do to reject an application continually is find 51 members that are not on the electoral role and considering the fact that the AEC database is at least 25% inaccurate, this is almost a mathematical certainty.
If a party was allowed to submit say 600 or 700 names or even 900 names, the 500 could be found within hours and a party would be approved on time.
But as the AEC have not accidental, but deliberate systems in place to ensure that an up and coming political party that has the potential to steal hundreds of thousands of voters from the two major parties and steal their valuable electoral funding, they delay and prevent a party from being on the ballot paper
What's even worse is that they lie to the media and public stating that it is the party's bungling and not their deliberate interference.
The naive journalists who buy the sory that was leaked by the AEC accusing my party of having failed to get its paper work in order are a joke. Anyone with any level of above average intelligence can investigate what the AEC has done and see that it is not only gross incompetence but also questionable suspect behaviour.
Suspect questionable tactics to ensure democracy was interfered with and a rapidly growing new political party that had way more grass root support than even the Palmer United Party was stopped from running in the election and hundreds of thousand of voters couldn't vote for their preferred political party.
Moreover, I was forced to run as an Independent, which in New England is the most toxic brand one can imagine, especially after Windsor and Okashott trashed it.
At least in Zimbabwe they wait to cheat the opposing parties at the polls.
However in Australia that's clearly plan B, as it is simply easier to stop them from being able to run at all.
And what do we get from the two media company system (just like the two party system we have)?
Not a squeak.
Not a single investigation.
Not a single 'Maybe we better check out these allegations against the AEC'.
All they did was create smear campaigns to stop any momentum from new parties and new political leaders who threaten the status quo.
Why as a party leader do I have to tolerate digital and print media stories that are planted and deliberately presented with false information?
Is someone threatening to break up the cosy two party monopoly we have in Australia disguised as democracy, which is a big of a threat to their system?
Let's face it; in Australia we have one major media company in bed with the Coalition and the other in bed with the Labor and Greens.
My prediction is that Australians won't see real political choice until we see real media choice.
And that is why I said that it will take a new party like 21st Century Australia at least ten years to make a significant impact because the mainstream media in Australia will be controlled by the two dominant political players for almost another decade before their powers start to wane.
The question is do Australians want to wait a decade for real change, real choices and real policies?
