Article Title: Making Your Long Haul Flight to Your Holiday Destination Less Hassle

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

A holiday in the Far East will include a long haul flight, we all recognise this, and in the planning stage a ten hour flight doesn't seem that bad. There will be movies to watch, books to read, food to eat, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to be had. More than likely it will be a night flight, and so we can sleep most of the way, so it can't be that bad.

Nevertheless a lot of folks do it once and then say never again, it was all just too much hassle. Then there are the savvy travellers who take it all in their stride, and that is because they know how to lessen some of the things that can make flying a long way extremely tedious.

Strangely enough it isn't the flight. There is enough to do, and the actual journey need not be that awful, it is what lies at each end of the journey that can make flying unbearable.

What exactly does the author mean my a comment like that?

It's simple really, because what is advertised as a ten hour flight is possibly as much as a twenty hour journey. It is the ten hours or more that you spend getting to airports, hanging around at airports, and in travelling from the airport to your final destination that wears you out.

To break that down into little chunks of time, let us take the example of our family flying to the Far East, and we will say our flight departs at 10pm. We live 120 miles from our nearest suitable International Airport, so we need to allow 3 hours for the car journey. The airline tells us we need to be checking in at 7.30 pm, so this means we need to leave home in theory at 4.30pm. In fact we are now driving into rush hour, so perhaps we need to allow longer, so we end up leaving at 3.30pm.

We also know we need to get to the long term car park, unload our cases, walk to the bus stop, and wait for the bus, all of which takes time. If it is wet and horribly cold we need clothes that we won't require for our holiday, but we will have to carry with us anyway.

We finally get into Check In and stand in a long snaking queue for what seems like hours, struggle through security with the teeming thousands and end up in a packed departure lounge. There is hardly a seat to spare, so we spend some of our holiday cash not because we are hungry, but just to get a seat in a restaurant.

When we get to our destination airport, we have had transfers of 2 hours. So by my calculations we left home at 3.30pm, and by the time we take our 10 hour flight we have been travelling for 16.5 hours. Allowing 2 hours in transfers, and 30 minutes waiting for suitcases at the airport we arrive at our destination tired irritable, having spent 19 hours travelling. It can be worse, if you have a stop for three hours on the way in say Dubai or Singapore, you could easily be travelling for 24 hours or more.

Thirteen days later you have to do it all again, but that is not what the savvy Traveller will do.

Let us look at what is different.

Firstly the savvy traveller, will check in online, and book his seats using a website called SeatGuru to make sure his family gets the best recommended seats on the flight. In a flash this means he joins a far shorter queue at the airport because he only has to drop his bags. It also means he doesn't have to be there before 9pm.

The next thing he does is to book the 'Meet and Greet' chauffeured service at the airport, It is a little more expensive, but you get met outside the departure terminal and a nice person takes your car away and parks it for you, so you can just amble into Check In dump your bags, and go through Security at around 9.15 pm when the early evening rush is over.

The savvy Traveller is probably a member of the Priority pass Lounge card, so the family goes to the lounge, where there is free food and beverages, both alcoholic and non alcoholic, and sits in peace and tranquillity, quite relaxed until it is time to depart. Even then he won't move early, but will arrive as the queue to board is tiny.

At the destination, he will be met by a personal transfer vehicle and will be on his way whilst the coach transfers are still waiting for the last holidaymakers to arrive. His transfer will probably take an hour less than the rest of us, and he will be enjoying his first cocktail by the pool whilst the others are still arriving.

The reverse journey is exactly the same, with time saved, and hassle avoided. In most cases the savvy traveller will fly direct if he can, cutting out several exhausting hours hanging around foreign airports, but if he has no choice he simply escapes to the lounge!!

A new way of trading the global markets is proving popular with those people who are looking for a simple to understand way of increasing the value of their investments. It is known as binary options trading and provides the opportunity to earn fast profits from the constant movements in financial markets without the need to ever actually own the asset.

These digital contracts involve short term speculation on the movement of an assets price and can see a trader up and running in just a matter of minutes. For this reason many people, both new to the world of financial trading and those who have already cut their teeth, are looking towards binary options as a viable way in which to make big money from the financial markets.

The whole premise of binary options works on the basis of short term contracts. These can be placed on a wide range of financial assets with a specialized binary options broker. The contracts are set to run for a predefined period. This is most commonly one hour or at the end of the trading day. All the trader needs to do is predict if the price of the asset will rise or fall by the time the contract is set to expire. If he is correct he receives a prearranged return for his prediction.

Binary contracts are so named because of the all or nothing nature of the contract s that are involved. When the contact expiries it can only finish in one of two states: it is either profitable or not. This makes this form of trading easy to understand. Furthermore it also limits the risks that are often associated with many forms of trading. There is no obligation to the broker if the contract if the market that you are speculating on moves strongly against your prior analysis. You are only liable for the initial price that you paid for the contract. This is unlike for example, Forex trading where you will be liable for all losses that are incurred until a position is closed in your account.

The wide range of financial markets that can be traded with binary options means that most traders will be able to add binary options to their trading toolbox. It is possible to open contracts on all of the major markets including individual stocks and foreign exchange. This makes it a highly flexible trading medium which can be used to generate profits from a wide range of market conditions. It also means that you can trade with options contracts around the clock.

As mentioned earlier you get a known fixed pay out for a binary options contract that expires 'in the money.' This is paid no matter how far the market has moved, making it possible to earn high returns for small movements in the price of the asset traded. Not only will you not need to worry about identify the big market

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Grand Canyon National Park is a massive wilderness area. And the one true way to explore the Park is by taking a flight tour. Your choices are helicopter and airplane, and here are a couple of planning tips that will ensure you get the best trip at the right price.

First, there are two places where flights originate: The West Rim and the South Rim. The former is closest to Las Vegas while the later is in northern Arizona and near Phoenix, Flagstaff, Sedona and Williams. So, to keep things clear and simple, you've got to pick your starting point and everything flows from there.

    West Rim

The West Rim is just 120 miles from Las Vegas. Helicopters can make it there in 45 minutes and airplanes can do it in 30 minutes. You'll have two kinds of flights from which to choose. They are air and landing. Air is cheaper and landing is more expensive because you get to do and see more things.

Air tours go over Lake Mead and Hoover Dam en route to the National Park. Helicopter landing tours go to the top and the bottom. Airplanes only land on the top but can be extended to include a helicopter to the bottom. The most popular is one that lands at the base for a Champagne brunch. The #1 choice for airplane trips is the one that lands at the top and gives you the option to do the Grand Canyon Skywalk.

Please note that helicopter rides to the bottom only originate from Las Vegas and only go to the West Rim. Such flights are not allowed at the South Rim because the National Park Service doesn't allow them. Further, there are no flights that connect the rims. If you are at the West and want to do the South (and vice versa), you'll have to arrange transportation.

    South Rim

Things are a bit different as this rim. The majority of helicopter rides are air-only and come in 30- and 50-minute packages. The shorter one goes from South Rim to North Rim and back while the longer one does that, too, as well as everything up to the Park's eastern border. Frankly, if you have the budget, I recommend you go for the 50-minute trip because you'll see so much more of the Park.

The South Rim does have a landing tour, but nothing like what you'll find at the West. In this instance, it's a sunset jeep tour wherein you'll first do a rim-to-rim helicopter ride before deplaning to a Jeep for sunset viewing on the Canyon's edge. In my opinion this is one of the best air/ground packages and a whole lot of fun, too.

There's only one version of South Rim airplane available. It's a 50-minute flight and it mimics the same flight path as its helicopter sibling. The big difference is price. The airplane is much cheaper. But there are trade-offs. For instance, airplanes fly at a higher altitude along with 19 other passengers. Helicopters, by contrast, get you closer to the action and max out at six people.

    Conclusion

I hope this article on how to plan for a Grand Canyon flight tour answered some of your most pressing questions. The key thing is to know is from whence you are starting (Las Vegas or Tusayan, AZ). Next, determine if you want an air-only or landing tour. And finally understand if a helicopter or airplane tour is most applicable to your particular situation.

Tips on organizing your stored items and make the most use of your storage space at Maxwell Mini Storage in Montgomery, AL!

Deciding that you need storage space is easy! Packing and organizing your storage room is a whole different story. We've compiled some organizational tips for you when moving your items into storage. Taking this extra time in the beginning will save you a lot of frustration in the end!

    - LABELING: Label boxes on all sides so you can easily identify the contents.

    - LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION: Place frequently accessed items towards the front of your unit. Less frequently needed items should be placed toward the rear of your unit.

    - GETTING AROUND: Leave a walkway down the center of your unit to make accessing items easier. You don't want to have to remove everything in the unit to access a box in the back.

    - STACK CAREFULLY: Stack boxes and similarly sized items together to save space in the unit. Be sure not to over pack boxes as they can get heavy and dangerous. Stack heavy sturdy boxes on bottom and fragile boxes on top. Make sure to stack boxes and containers so that you can see the labels you put on them.

    - GOOD MATERIALS: Invest in good quality, sturdy boxes and packing materials. Boxes should be sturdy enough to hold up for years under the weight of the stack. You may be tempted to get boxes for free from supermarkets and liquor stores; however, the mismatched shapes and sizes will impede your ability to organize most effectively. You can buy standard-sized boxes and specialty boxes for odd shaped and fragile items such as mirrors and lamps.

    - BUBBLE WRAP: For wrapping breakables, paper will work, but bubble wrap is cleaner, it can be reused and because it is transparent, makes identifying contents easier.

    - HANGING CLOTHES: Invest in a wardrobe box with a built-in hanging rod, to store clothes and hangers.

    - FURNITURE: Store large pieces of furniture vertically to save space. Stand sofas on end when possible. If you have room to store a sofa flat, then a loveseat can be placed upside down on top of the sofa, and a table stacked on top of that. Chairs can be stacked seat to seat.

    - APPLIANCES: In most cases, you can stack dryers on top of washers. Wedge the doors of all kitchen appliances whilst in the facility open to avoid bad odors and mildew.

    - TOOLS: Tools and long-handled items such as rakes, shovels and brooms can be placed inside garbage cans and bungee tied in bundles.

    - MAXIMIZE YOUR STORAGE SPACE: You can use virtually all of the space in and around your stored furniture. Fill anything that's hollow with items to maximize your available space. For example, you can store smaller items inside furniture drawers, inside wardrobes, inside washers and dryers, and on bookshelves.

When you are doing badly in the stock market, you will want to know a few things that can help you decrease your losses. The stock market is all about making the right moves at the right time which can see your value of the stock increasing. When you are not selling your stock at the right time, then you are going to make losses.

So, what can you do about it? You need to know the reasons, why you are getting losses in the stock market. Many traders do not realize that fact and keep on trading more and end with more losses. That could happen to you. In this article, we will discuss three reasons that are the main cause for getting losses in the market.

Below are some the reasons for having losses in the market.

    Incorrectly equate price with value

Firstly, you incorrectly feel that the price of the stock is the value of it. That is not so. The price of the stock when purchased by you is what you have paid. The value of the stock is the returns that you stand to get from the stock market. The main thing here to analyze is that the market changes.

The current price can either increase or decrease depending on the market conditions. When you are purchasing stocks of a particular company, it is vital that you spend some time in understanding their market. Only if a company has consistently made profits in the market, you will want to purchase stocks from them.

The area is also vital. Some areas are not doing well as of now. You do not want to purchase stock in those fields as you are going to get losses.

    Letting your emotions affects you

You will want to do your trading using the right approach and not by the rumors that are going on around you. Though others might tell you something, you will want to stick to your instincts. You will understand that following your instincts is the best method to make profits. When you sell your stock based on what is going on around you, it is going to take you to losses.

You tend to become greedy and panic, which can ruin your decisions. So, you will want to ensure that take decisions that are not related to your emotions.

    Lack of patience

Having no patience in the stock market is a bad thing. That is because many traders have lost on excellent conditions to make good money. They would have sold their stock earlier only to realize that few days later the value of the stock has risen. You might have come across this kind of situation before, but see to it that you do not make the same mistake again in the stock market.

The above are just some of common mistakes which traders make. You need to make sure that you understand the stock market better, avoid rumors which are present, and be patient to succeed in the stock market.

Basement flooding is a lot of things – and all of them bad. It's expensive. It can be dangerous if it's not dealt with immediately. And, it causes stress – a lot of stress.

Especially if the basement is finished. Wet insulation, wet sheetrock and humidity can cause mold and mildew, which can cause serious illness. Wet framing is a concern because it can cause structural damage that can greatly increase plumbing repair bills, sometimes by thousands of dollars.

The best way to avoid large plumbing service bills that are a result of flooding is to prevent the problem in the first place through preventive checkup and maintenance. A sump pump should help keep normal amounts of rainfall from building up in the basement. In fact, though, most flooded basements are due to sump pumps that have failed or otherwise can't handle the amount and flow of water. Flood Guard insures there will always be a back-up pump available. As long as the sump pump tank has an opening in the lid, the sump pump will act like a floor drain and keep the water from rising, unless there's something wrong with the sump pump.

In fact, most flooded basements are due to faulty sump pumps. Yes, power outages sometimes contribute to flooding, but the majority of basement flooding is caused by sump pumps that have failed or otherwise can't handle the amount and flow of water.

Basement flooding is preventable. To take action toward prevention, thereby avoiding plumbing repairs and bills, it is a good idea to keep handy this list of things that can disable a sump pump:

    • Tripped circuit breaker: If too many appliances are connected to one circuit, there's a risk of tripping the electrical circuit breaker. Use one circuit for just the sump pump. And, make sure to protect the outlet with a ground fault interrupter.

    • Faulty switch: The sump pump's switch might be stuck against the side of the basin. Or, debris might be caught in the switch. Be sure to inspect the switch to make sure it's connected and free of material that can clog it.

    • Frozen drainage pipe: Those who live in a cold climate should check the drainage pipe located outside their home because it might be frozen. Installing a stop that redirects the drainage so water exits the house before reaching the frozen pipe should prevent problems.

    • Clogged screen: Sump pumps have a small screen the water flows through. If the screen is clogged, the water won't flow through properly and the basement could flood.

Also, it is a very good idea to install a quiet check valve – just in the interest of keeping the house quiet. Though it doesn't indicate a malfunction in your sump pump and therefore doesn't require a plumbing service call, the water hammering noise sump pumps produce can be very annoying.

Basement flooding can be very expensive, and it certainly is a very big headache. It is also preventable. Being proactive by knowing what problems to look for in sump pumps currently in use and by becoming educated about alternative systems with backup systems is advisable.
