During those long winter nights those cotton sheets just do not cut it anymore, if you are looking a great option look no further than flannel. Although you might be thinking that is what those hipsters or lumberjacks wear... well yes it is, it is also an amazingly warm. Flannel is making a comeback, especially those that are consistently cold due to poor circulation or otherwise known as woman. Personally, they are great in the winter, as the better half is not putting her freezing toes on my back as she is toasty warm with these beautiful thick sheets. If you do not know what flannel is you are in luck, we have you covered. This article is going to examine what flannel is, how you should store it during those warm summer months, what to look for in thread counts for flannel, what the most popular flannel sheets are, and lastly what colors and patterns should you look for. So if you have been bothered by the better half to grab a pair of flannel sheets you are going to be well informed before heading to the store. Believe me, it is always better to have the perfect surprise gift for the wife, then bring home some brutal cotton sheets, go flannel you will thank me.

Flannel is going to be one of your best friends, on those cold winter nights. Flannel sheets will fit any bed ranging from a California king bed to your infants crib. Flannel although initially only made of wool, is now made with either wool, polyester or cotton. Normally, your sheets will be brushed to create a nice soft flannel, but you can also receive non brushed flannel as well, but that is normally very coarse. Your sheets are going to be two of four types of flannel. The first being cotton flannel which is cotton flannel that is either single or double napped which will take care of its softness. The second type is ceylon flannel. This type is an equal mix of wool and cotton which makes for a very warm and nice sheet. For weaving, the flannel is either plain weaved or till weaved which the fabric is then napped. Then the fabric is treated with dye to get the desired color, and depending on the manufacture it can be napped a second time to add even more softness to the fabric.

Many people love their flannel sheets but not so much in the dead heat of summer, as if you kept the flannel sheets on you might die of heat exhaustion. Storage of flannel sheets is as easy as their treatment. Keep in your good old linen closet, away from direct sunlight and make sure they get a good cleaning before you put them away for the summer. For cleaning, to prevent them from fading make sure to wash them in lukewarm water. Try to avoid high detergents, as mild is the best to keep the fabric soft. For drying, instead of letting them sit on the clothes dryer, you can throw them in the dryer, but do make sure that is on a low heat setting. I will say even in the winter the feeling of a warm flannel sheet on the bed is second to none.

When looking at flannel sheets make sure that you realize that thread counts are not the same as cotton or polyester sheets. Flannel rather is going to be rated on the fabric rating. The higher the number, the better the flannel sheets. For instance, the longest lasting flannel sheets are those with a rating of 5 ounces for every yard, this will allow for the best warmth and softness. Cheaper sheets unlike cotton will not last, it is that simple. Invest in a good pair of flannel sheets and they will last you years, a great investment!

The popularity of flannel is second to none in today's youth but, for sheets it is a bit different. Although the most common flannel pattern is the lined pattern, the most popular are those with solid coloring. The best part of flannel is it makes matching home decor a breeze and accentuates any room with just a quick flash of color. If you have a memory foam or oversized mattress the good news is many brands have started to bring out deep pocket sheets.

Coloring and patterns are always a deciding factor in flannel sheets. Remember, if you are buying high quality sheets you are going to get a lot more time out of them. So, if you are looking at patterned sheets it might be best to consider the more expensive sheets, as those patterns will fade over time and look a little shabby. Look for flannel sheets that have yard dyed fiber and you should be good for worrying about fading of patterns or colors. The most popular colors are those of the darker variety like the reds, blues, greens and blacks. For those women in the house that are wanting to add some color to the room, flannel sheets also look great in a purple or a pink. Remember, sheets are the base of the bed, and if you are warm, comfy and looking great you are going to have some great mornings.

Flannel is a great choice for those who are finding they are always cold on your average winter evening. We have reviewed what flannel is, how to store and wash flannel, what to look for in thread count, what is popular in flannel, and finally what to look for in colors and patterns. If you live in a winter climate flannel sheets are a great investment for the sake of you and your better half. A warm winter nights sleep is close, now you just need to get some major brownie points and get yourself a pair of flannel sheets.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

In my previous article, Blog Marketing for Beginners, I discuss on the meaning of the meaning of blogs and the purposes for which blogs are used. i also discussed on the simplicity and requirements of successful blogging. Here, I want to discuss on how blog owners can use their blogs to promote their home businesses.

Blog marketing is something that virtually all blog owners do. Blog owners market their blog so that they can get their gods and services to readers, and then make a huge profit from their blogs. What does blog marketing really means? Marketing blog simply means to get it out to other people that are interested in it so that they can find it and read it. It is also a great way to sell things by using affiliate links and programs. You can as well make blog marketing your home business if that is your passionate interest.

If you want to have a home business through blog marketing, this would definitely mean that you have more than one blog. You should make a list of markets that your blogs can cover. When you only have one market per blog, your blogs will most probably do best. For example, if you create a blog about dogs, it is not advised that you include anything on the blog about kitchen appliances. The reason is that the readers that read your blog and visit your blog for the purpose of learning more about cats and what you have to say about them will not likely be interested in learning anything about valentines day. The key point here is relevancy. It is however alright for you to have a blog about pets, and then write about all of the many pets that you want to include in your pet blog.

If you are serious about making a living by blog marketing, you surely need to know every aspect of it. You should know what should be done to attract readers to your blog, how to professionally write about the goods and services that you are promoting, and then know how to get it up in search engine rankings. By doing so, you will have a successful blog marketing and make a huge income with it in your home business.

SEO. Have you heard of it before? SEO simply means search engine optimization and it consists of getting the most out of your blog so that the search engines will quickly and easily find it and rank it as high as possible on its search engine result page. This also consequently leads to more traffic and leads from your home business blog. If you are so busy that you do not have time to learn SEO, and apply it to all of your blogs, you may want to consider hiring someone to do this for you especially if time is the major factor.

Another vital thing that you will need to get used to if you plan on making a fairly large amount of money with your blogs is to outsource much of your work. You may be advised to hire bloggers (blog writers) that can write your blog content for you, and you may be advised also to hire someone else that can post comments on other blogs with a link back to your home business blog. Planning out all of these duties on a spread sheet will help you to be more coordinated and know what you need to do when, as well as assign a priority to them. Using a spread sheet will also help you to keep track of who is doing what, and protect you from unnecessarily asking more than one person to get a single job done.

There is no much difference between blog marketing for a home business and other home businesses. If you only put in a few hours a week into your blogs, you should not anticipate to make a full time income with them. You are going to get out of it what you put into it. However, it will surely be highly rewarding in the long run being consistent and working on your blogs every chance that you get . You will also find out that there is no other better experiencing of affective and emotional states in the world than possessing your own personal home business, and working independently for yourself.

The key points are to start small, and work hard. That is all you need to become successful at home business blog marketing and make the income that you are dreaming of. All of your hard work will be compensated if you are persistent and keep it up.

Frequent consumption of spicy and heavy foods compromises the digestive health and renders one more vulnerable to intestinal disorders. The system gets toxic, a result of the production of free radicals and gases inside the body. Hence, there is a need to detoxify the body from such harmful materials through observation of a detox diet within a certain period. It is possible to flush toxins out of your body by taking a diet containing sufficient vegetables and fruits.

    Detox Diet Plan

Knowledge on the advantages of detox diet is useful and you'll get encouraged to continue following your natural diet for a moment. It is impossible to jump into this plan straight away by scarifying some of your favorite foods. Wait for 3 or more days to be acquainted with these foods and then you'll find the difference enjoyable. Make a plan with a goal well in advance and then observe a diet which suits your system. Go for foods which detoxify the body. Here are some tips on a detox diet.

    Fruit Diet

Citrus fruits are the most efficient detoxifying agents hence feature in a detox diet. Take watery and citrus fruits constantly for 2 days. Begin your days with a glass containing fresh lemon juice which is stirred with honey. You may add crushed holy basil leaves inside it. Wait for an hour and then take a dish containing varied vegetables mixed with some citrus fruits. The plate will have cucumber, broccoli, melons and oranges among others. Eat to your satisfaction. Take a light water-based soup during lunchtime. Take pineapple and apple slices during the afternoon. Vegetable or fruit salad is preferable at dinner time. During the two days, you need to restrict yourself against drinking aerated drinks, canned juices or fast foods. Take green tea. Alongside these, take 3 or more liters of warm water daily.

    Juice Diet

A naturally occurring detox diet constituting vegetable juices and fresh fruits effectively eliminates harmful toxins found in the body. Juice made using sweet lime, pineapple, watermelon, grapes and oranges contain minerals and antitoxins. Take a liquid diet for three days and then note the difference. Vegetables such as spinach and yam serve as wonderful detoxifying agents. Juices may also prevent unnecessary weight gain. Take juices in their natural form. A glass containing fresh mixed juice plus a plate full of boiled vegetables remains the best way to begin the day while under this diet. You have the option of alternating the lunch menu by drinking vegetable juices and fruit salads. Eat a mixture of carrot salad with peaches, pineapples, pomegranates, berries or pears during dinner.

    Soup Diet

Soups are necessary in keeping you full the whole day. Consider soup recipes which require no addition of spices. Boil the vegetables and then add pepper and salt. Drink while warm without garnishing using butter or cheese. Take soups for a two-day period alongside plenty of fruits and water. To vary the flavor and taste, stir in coconut milk. Eat buttermilk or yogurt as you follow soup diets. You may saute the vegetables in olive oil.

Conversion rate optimisation (also known as CRO) is a systematic process that can potentially increase your conversion rate by 50% or more. Basically, conversion rate experts review heat mapping and website traffic analysis to identify the issues that are suppressing sales and qualified leads. Just a few of the issues typically identified in the analysis phase of a conversion rate optimisation project include:

    Weak Direct Response Copywriting Tools

Poor Website Design Elements and/or Layout

    Outdated Web Programming

    Ineffective Sales Funnels

Non-Converting Keywords in Paid Traffic Channels (like Adwords, Facebook, etc.)

    Ineffective Business Model

    Bad Website Navigation

As no two websites are the same, the specific list of conversion problems will differ from site to site along with their severity and impact upon sales. Once identified, the next phase of the conversion rate optimisation will focus on fixing the largest problems first while addressing lower priority issues in later phases. Finally, the new version(s) of content will undergo website split testing against the original version to help tweak results and verify the effectiveness of the CRO project.

So what kind of ROI does CRO generate compared with other Internet Marketing services like SEO, social media marketing (SMM), or PPC?

Well since conversion rate optimisation doesn't require any additional investment in new content like SEO, SMM or increasing the Ad Spend like PPC, the ROI is sky-high in comparison.

In fact, most CRO projects ultimately reduce marketing costs helping boost ROI even higher. And with services like PPC, SEO, or SMM, you are ultimately paying for more traffic and merely hoping it converts into more sales. But with CRO, the entire point of the service is to increase conversions with statistical reliability using advanced web analytics tools that pinpoint problems in the various components of your website.

The best part is that the results of a conversion rate optimisation project continue to boost online sales for years to come—for as long as you own your site in fact. This means that even if the a CRO expert delivers a meager 20% improvement in conversion rate, you could well see ROI exceed 300% or more in just the first year!

Compared with PPC or even SEO where you are lucky to see a 50% ROI, CRO is hands down the best investment most website owners can make who are looking to quickly and permanently increase online sales.

And Yet the Entire Internet Marketing Industry Hopes You Never Learn the Truth About Conversion Rate Optimisation!

In fact, CRO could well spell the ruin of most so-called Internet Marketing "experts" for three simple reasons:

1.CRO Can Make Any Internal Staff or Contract Providers Look Very Bad: The entire purpose of the first phase in any conversion rate optimisation project is to identify the problems that are suppressing online sales. And guess who created those problems when they worked on your website or at the very least didn't identify them until an outside CRO expert found them? Can you see why most contractors and internal staff would hope you never learn about conversion rate optimisation?

2.No Way to "Fake It": CRO cannot be standardised since it requires the customisation of several website components including copywriting, web design, and often web programming. Therefore, the Internet Marketing "guru's" can't put out some "15-Minute Optimisation" program or service to fleece people since there is no way to fake the results since CRO is 100% conversion focused. So again, even most Internet Marketing guru's want to ignore CRO and hope you never learn about it.

3.CRO is Hard Work: From beginning to end, a CRO project can take up to 8 weeks or more to complete. Don't worry, your site is working just fine while everything is being done so there is no disruption in sales, but it does take several weeks to complete. And with the pressure of actually delivering results, most Internet Marketing firms and professionals are just continuing to sell their services and hope you never learn about CRO or it's massive ROI.

    Concluding Thoughts

Dollar for dollar, no other Internet Marketing service compares with conversion rate optimisation when it comes to delivering ROI. Rather than add to marketing costs like SEO, SMM, or PPC, conversion rate experts actually eliminate keywords that don't convert to reduce costs without affecting sales. CRO experts also identify problems in your site's copywriting, design, programming, and other on-site factors and fix them to improve conversion rate. And with the results of CRO continuing to boost online sales for years to come, the ROI blows the competition away, hands down.

But, since a successful conversion rate optimisation exposes errors potentially created by current staff members or Internet Marketing experts, no one wants to talk about it. And since CRO services cannot be standardised or packaged into some neat software program, the Internet Marketing guru's and other major players in the industry are simply ignoring CRO and hoping you never learn about it.

    Comparing with others?

"Why compare yourself with others? No one in the entire world can do a better job of being you than you."

We all do it or have done it at some point in our lives. We compare ourselves to others and gauge where we are based on what we observe them to be doing. If this was simply an observation, that would be one thing. But in comparing ourselves to others, we often end up judging ourselves. There's no one worse to judge! If you have ever noticed, it doesn't matter how many people are on your side, cheering you on. If you can't get on your own side, you never get past "go."The thing about comparison is that there is never a win. How often do we compare ourselves with someone less fortunate than us and consider ourselves blessed? More often, we compare ourselves with someone who we perceive as being, having, or doing more. And this just leaves us coming up short But our minds do want to quantify. Our minds want to rank and file and organize information. Our mind wants to know where we fit into the scheme of things. So we need to give it something to do.

So, instead of training it to stop comparing altogether, why not simply redirect the comparison to a past and a present self and keep the comparison within?

We are always becoming more. Who you are today is a result of the decisions you made yesterday. We are always in a state of creation. We decide and then we decide again, and the direction is always toward expansion. It is our human nature to expand. So, when you catch yourself comparing yourself to another, stop for a moment and re-direct the thought. Instead of submitting to the temptation to compare yourself to someone else, ask yourself a few questions instead. What are you doing today that you couldn't have done five, three, or even one year ago? How have you stepped out in the last year that you might have found inconceivable before? What new decisions have you made or what new actions have you taken that have resulted in you moving in a new direction in your life? What are your wins this year, compared to last year at this time? How has your life improved? How have you improved? What have you done recently that you never thought you could do?

What negative behavior have you stopped engaging in, that you never thought you could quit? What positive behavior have you been engaging in that up until now, you have resisted? How are you doing more of what you said you were going to do and shown up more consistently for your own success? In other words, how have you continued to become a new and improved version of yourself? That's the stuff that counts. Comparing ourselves with someone else is an inaccurate and irrelevant measuring stick.

Few simple tips to stop yourself comparing with others:

•Recognize that comparing yourself to others is a bad habit. Although leaving bad habits takes time, but gradually you can leave it.

•Realize that everybody is different, because we are. It is universal truth and can be admitted easily.

•Stop being afraid to be yourself. On the contrary you should thank God to give opportunity to witness the wonderful creations of world, including you.

•Forgive and learn. It is the easiest way to forget the incidents which affected you and whom you are forgiving.

•Learn to deal with changes and embrace it. If you become a great lover of changes, you will stop thinking of all negatives.

Article Title: Rhinoplasties For Teens – Is a Nose Job a Good Idea For a Younger Patient?

    Author: Katie Perry

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Rhinoplasties, which are surgical procedures designed to improve the function and/or appearance of the nose, are growing in popularity among younger patients. If you're a teenager and your nose is making you miserable, you might be able to do something about it. However, it's important to keep in mind that nose jobs, like all forms of surgery, involve a certain level of risk. What's more, in addition to the physical implications, the procedure can have emotional consequences as well.

Therefore, if you're considering rhinoplasty, it's best to proceed with caution and first discuss the idea with your parents. If you are under the age of 18, parental consent is required for a consultation with a cosmetic surgeon. Together with your parents, you should meet with one or more trusted surgeons who can help you better understand your true reasons for wanting to undergo this serious operation, which has potential complications and side effects that the surgeons can explain in detail. As a teen, you might be a good candidate for rhinoplasty if you are well-adjusted and have a solid support system at home.

Common teen motivations for seeking rhinoplasty

When you consult with a surgeon, one of the first things he or she will likely do is help you examine your motivations – do you want the surgery for yourself, or are you being swayed by someone else? For example, you might be seeking rhinoplasty as way to achieve a functional goal. Perhaps a sports- or accident-related injury or a congenital condition is affecting your nasal airways, resulting in problems like a deviated septum, nasal congestion, mouth breathing, snoring, and dry mouth. If so, surgical treatment might improve the function of your internal nasal passages and help you breathe easier.

On the other hand, aesthetic factors might be influencing your desire for a nose job. After all, your nose is a prominent feature of your face, and facial appearance can play a role in who you are and how others see you. For example, as a teen, you might be susceptible to peer pressure for social acceptance, and perhaps subject to ridicule, bullying, and the unrealistic celebrity ideals portrayed in the media. In response, you might want to improve your appearance by straightening the bridge, smoothing a hump, reshaping a bulbous tip, resizing the nostrils, or reducing the overall size of your nose.

If you are considering rhinoplasty for cosmetic reasons, your surgeon will carefully gauge your expectations to ensure that they are realistic. Teenagers in general tend to be very visual, and if you are overly concerned or obsessed with a minor flaw or asymmetry, you are not an ideal candidate for any type of cosmetic or elective procedure. In addition to enhancing the appearance of your nose, rhinoplasty can have a dramatic emotional impact. That said, surgery should never be viewed as a "cure all" solution. If depression, body dysmorphia, or deep social or emotional problems are driving your decision to undergo surgery, you should first seek professional psychological help.

    What to expect

In general, a rhinoplasty procedure can be safely and effectively performed on a girl who is 15-16 years old, and on a boy who is 16-18 years old (these guidelines are based on typical growth and development patterns). While teenage patients often seek more dramatic changes than adults, teens also have superior skin elasticity and heal more quickly than their older counterparts, which can allow for better results and a faster recovery.

In order to avoid missing classes, some teenage patients choose to schedule their rhinoplasty procedures during school vacations or summer breaks, such as the months between high school graduation and the freshman year of college. It is important to be mentally prepared for the healing process, which takes time and requires support from family and friends. Also, remember that the end result might not be visible for six to 12 months.

Immediately after your procedure, you should expect some swelling and bruising around your eyes. You might be instructed to wear a splint and gauze drip pad for several days, and you will probably experience some discomfort during the first 24-72 hours. In general, you can expect to return to school wearing a nasal splint within one week after surgery, resume gentle exercise in about two weeks, and engage in contact sports in approximately six months.

Consult with a Board Certified Surgeon

If you would like more information about rhinoplasty, you are advised to meet with an experienced cosmetic surgeon who is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. A trusted and qualified surgeon can answer any questions you might have about the procedure, including its safety, cost, and associated recovery time, and determine if you are a good candidate.

He is wearing purple and is always coming up with the right answer, when you are thinking the teenage mutant ninja turtles you know you are talking about Donatello. He is one of the four teenage mutant ninja turtles and the smartest out of all of them. Donatello is named after Donatello di Niccolo di Betto Bardi meaning given by god. He is known to be an intelligent, soft spoken genius who can create weapons, vehicles and gadgets that engineers of the human race had yet to believe was possible. Much like the real Donatello he is vastly misunderstood by his peers and brother and essentially has to be able to entertain and challenge himself as no one can come close to his IQ. In this article you are going to learn about what weapons and martial arts that Donatello is an expert in, how Donatello used his amazing mind to help the turtles out, and what Donatello's personality brings to the table for the teenage mutant ninja turtles. Without Donatello it has been said the other members of the gang would not be able to function, let's see if this is true.

Donatello is most revered when he is utilizing his amazing skills with the Bo staff, whether it be knocking enemies off their feet, or smashing heads he is an absolute expert in his craft. A Bo staff is made of a hard wood, usually red or white oak although some have been seen made of bamboo or pine wood. It is always used with two hands due to its length which is standardized at 5.9 feet long. The Bo staff is utilized in a number of Asian based martial arts but no more than bojutsu. Donatello is a master in both bojusu and naginatajutsu which are both disciplines of ninjustsu which focus on stick, staff and spear techniques. Thus, Donatello is such an expert with his Bo staff which later on doubles as a naginata. The naginata is a long curved blade that has been a weapon in ancient Japan for centuries. Donatello's expertise in the many ninjutsu disciplines makes him the best candidate out of all the brothers to be a true ninja master.

From an early age Donatello separated himself from his brothers with his love of engineering toys and devices. He built devices and toys for his brothers, as well as early weapons for training. While his brothers were constantly fighting and being typical little rascals, Donatello would rather read up on a multitude of topics and disciplines. As the boys matured as did Donatello's skills as a thinker. He created what was not thought to be possible whether it be weapons, devices or vehicles to give the turtles an advantage. Donatello throughout his early life was focused on science and the inner workings of mechanisms and because of this bright mind he was always able to get out of issues. Many of his brothers teased him immensely due to his focus on science rather than violence, but Donatello was always there to get them out of messy situations with an ingenious usage of the available materials. He is smart, an expert in the art of ninjustsu and would rather talk a problem out than solve it with violence; in essence he is the most well rounded turtle of the group.

A main feature of the teenage mutant ninja turtles is their personalities, they are so different and diverse which is a rarity in the typical animated show. Donatello is the typical brainiac in his personality, extremely studious and soft spoken. He states a multitude amount of times that he would rather study than take part in ninja training. As a teenager, Donatello shows the typical teenage angst, but with a bit of a flair. Due to his IQ of over 600 his adolescent personality is extremely unique. He then learns of women, this is a huge character shift in Donatello and finds him often competing with his brothers. His eyes lay upon April, and he can't take them off. If you were to guess which one of the brothers was going to be in a love struck daze over a girl, I feel no one would have chosen Donatello. Issues arise with his love of April; April has other suitors including Casey Jones. Casey Jones and Donatello had never met before, but now through this girl they have become bitter rivals. How this relationship will blossom and how it will affect the turtles are still unknown and is still developing, but the love triangle is a significant plot twist in Donatello's life that no one saw coming. He also shows his softer side when dealing with his brothers. He has always had a soft spot for Michelangelo and this relationship would allow Donatello to protect his brother from the aggressive Raphael on a number of occasions.

In conclusion, Donatello is the most well rounded brother of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This short biography has shown his expertise with the Bo staff, naginata as well as multiple disciplines of ninjutsu. His way of using his intelligence to get the turtles out of sticky situations, and lastly his personality and the surprise romance of April and his new nemesis Casey Jones. Donatello is one of the most misunderstood teenage mutant ninja turtles, his high IQ and high brow humor has him as an outsider with his brothers. But, like his namesake Donatello finds a way to help the people that he loves no matter the circumstance. His expertise with engineering and mechanics is second to none, and many human engineers envy his mechanical prowess in which he creates the type of vehicles and gadgets they can only dream of producing. This turtle may wear purple and prefer to use his mind rather than his skills, but do not let that fool you. Donatello is the well rounded turtle in the group and can not only beat you in chess but beat you with his Bo staff as well.

When you think of the teenage mutant ninja turtles you of course think of the blue bandana wheeling leader of the brothers, Leonardo. Leonardo is the leader of the group and rightfully so, you will not find a stronger leader in New York or. Leonardo is named after another great leader of men, Leonardo da Vinci and his name means to be strong as a lion. Leonardo is set up to be the leader of all leaders, and the best comrade on the battlefield but he is a complex man and sometimes questions his leadership abilities on the battlefield. This is what has given the fandom of Leonardo; he is an honest hero which is rare in these parts. This article is going to showcase Leonardo's weapons and skills in martial arts, his strategist side as the leader of the brothers, and finally his personality as the struggling hero that must find himself within. The leader of the turtles is not always as strong as his outer shell might make him however, like all true heroes he will fight to the bitter end and prevail against his inner demons to become the best version of himself, Leonardo the strong leader.

Looking at Leonardo's weapons he does not look like he is the biggest threat to those around him, all he carries is a katana and a shoto. However, he utilizes these to his advantage in battle. A shoto is a small Japanese sword, which is slightly smaller than a katana. It is razor sharp and is made of folded steel by the best Japanese blacksmiths in the country. While, the katana, otherwise known as a samurai sword, to those who are not familiar with the name, is a curved folded steel blade greater than 60 cm in length. The swords even to today standards are extremely tough to forge, and some consider katana's to be the best swords in the world. Leonardo is a world renowned expert in the martial art of kenjutsu, which is the sword discipline of ninjutsu. Although not as gifted in the martial arts as some of his brothers, Leonardo fights with the heart of a lion and leads his brothers into battle. He is amazing with both his Kanata and shoto, which he can utilize to cut into his opponents and slash their weapons away. Do not disrespect Leonardo, unless you want to be cut up into sushi sized pieces.

Leaders do not take long to emerge and this goes for Leonardo as well. Although early on we were not sure who would come out as the leader of the turtles. At a young age Leonardo was already fighting some interior demons especially surrounding his confidence and self worth. Like many children he was trying to find his place in the world, which meant some growing pains. After dealing with his brothers for a number of years, they finally started to look for Leonardo's support and guidance in the scary New York City. As he grew, so did his style of leadership. Leonardo is a straight edged turtle, with a great sense of what is right and what is wrong. His strategist side would emerge when it came to battle; he knew where to take advantage of an enemy to exploit their weakness. Although Leonardo does have his struggles with being the go to leader of the group, every triumph he has either over enemies or himself brings Leonardo closer to his goal of finding his inner ninja mastery. Leonardo's specialty as a leader does give him some great weaknesses, his biggest fear is to fail his brothers and be shown as a bad leader. Neither one will happen, but with any leader they can have some doubts in their ability on the inside.

A good leader demands respect, a great leader earns respect and this is so true for Leonardo. He has always struggled with being the leader and being in control but, he is attentive of his own shortcomings which makes him a loveable character to keep up with. Through his development over the years Leonardo has started to come into his own, he is willing to do all that it takes to protect his brothers and is even willing to lay down his lift for them. However, with years of leadership and constant war in the city, the daily grind of fighting for justice finally has started to get to Leonardo. He was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder a few years ago, which many in today's military and various first responders can relate to. Leonardo has fought this next challenge head on, and continues to fight. His actions are courageous and can be used to show how although you have post traumatic stress disorder, you can still be the leader you strive to be and fight on. Leonardo is your classic archetype hero, has many demons but has overcome them to become the best version of him.

Leonardo, the blue bandana wearing leader of the four brothers has lived a great life, and continues to lead by example with his might Kanata by his side fighting off the criminals in New York City. We have reviewed his weapons used including the Kanata and Shoto and his mastery of kenjutsu, his strategist side as a leader, and the struggles that Leonardo faces with his leadership position within the group. Leonardo is a simplistic straight edged turtle; he is an outspoken leader with some character flaws like everyone in the world. His fears of failing his brothers and being a bad leader are realistic to him, but like many heroes he does not fail, rather he flourishes. His fight with post traumatic stress disorder has brought him closer to many fans, and his continued fight is a beacon of hope for many. You can see Leonardo lead his brothers next in the Hollywood blockbuster expected out in a few months!

With every great hero come a great villain and the teenage mutant ninja turtles are often finding themselves against the evil Shredder. He is a human, with a legion of foot soldiers in front of him called the foot clan. The Shredder is your typical dictator, will send others to do his dirty work while he relaxes in his ivory tower with little regard or care for those he sent to their demise. He is pure evil, and his only past time seems to be to take terror anywhere he goes. This article is going to examine the Shredder, why he is a nemesis of the turtles and his interesting relationships with many of the main characters within the world. The Shredders original name was Oruku Saki, and is new name means: something that strips big objects into small pieces. His original name means something quite the opposite, Oruku Saki means blossom, hope, or the exact opposite of what the Shredder stands for. His weapon of choice is a pair of large metal claws that can rip his opponents and deflects their blows with ease. The foot clan is his foot soldiers who blindly go into battle and continually lose to the four brothers, and if they need a little more muscle power the Shredder will send in his own henchman.

Shredder has a long standing feud with Splinter and thus the turtles stemming for multiple areas. Splinter of course is a mutation of Hamato Yoshi, and simply put Shredder is out for petty revenge against his ex nemesis. Another fold of the feud is Splinter back when he was just a normal everyday rat, scratched at Shredder and then bites him. Although for most a feud spanning a number of years over a rat attack is extremely unlikely, this relationship shows how petty and dark Shredders personality is, to add to this the resources and time put toward killing splinter shows that he is absolutely pure evil.

Karai, is Shredders adopted daughter and the relationship is interesting to say the least. Although Shredder can provide for the girl, he is unable to show any compassion for a successful relationship which causes many issues. This angers the Shredder as he wants to be involved with the girl, but he cannot connect father to daughter even at the most basic level. Shredder was also partners named Yukio Mashimi at this same time. However, Yukio betrayed the shredder to the Utroms a local crime family. He did this due to a long standing feud over a lost love that in the end neither of them was successful in their attempt at courting the young lady. The Utroms were protected by Hamato Yoshi who of course was mentioned earlier for his involvement with Splinter. Shredder would follow Yoshi to America where he would set up a vast criminal network to fund his search and this is where Splinter and the teenage mutant ninja turtles would run into the Shredder for the first time, and not the only time that is for sure.

Shredder is one of the classic villains in recent memory, his absolute lack of empathy towards both his men in the foot clan and his enemies. He is an absolute tyrannical leader who spends his time worrying about his nemesis Splinter rather than controlling his many criminal networks. He is a grand evil individual to face on the battlefield as a hero. He faces the turtles for a number of years; he forces the turtles to become better fighters, and individuals until they finally defeat the Shredder. Shredder holds strong to the darkness in his evil soul, and that will never change. We have reviewed why the Shredder is the nemesis of the turtles and Master Splinter, we also reviewed some of the more interesting relationships that the Shredder has with his daughter and Splinter before the turtles. The Shredder will forever be one of the greatest villains in movie history, he is the embodiment of evil and his very life revolves around petty revenge and terror. A complete villain who is so rare in today's society that it is quite frankly, refreshing.

If you are looking to find your mentor, it might take you a few minutes to consider a number of people, but for the teenage mutant ninja turtles the answer is easy, Master Splinter. He is their father figure, the man who will guide these mutants to be the best versions of themselves and even further. Splinter is a loved character much like any mentor, and is wise beyond his years. This article is going to examine what his relationship is with the mutant ninja turtles and what his abilities are that will allow Splinter to relish. Splinter is actually named after The Stick which is Marvel's Dare Devils' mentor, who as you can guess takes quite a bit from. Splinter is the teenage mutant ninja turtle's father figure and who they look at for their guidance in times of issues and hard knocks. Master Splinter is not only a father figure but a true role model for the turtle's, a man of much wisdom and skills, a true renaissance man.

Splinter rescued a group of baby turtles from ooze on his way home one day, who knew they were going to grow up to be the crime fighting turtle they turned into. He decided upon naming the turtles after the four great Renaissance artists, to remind them of the once great men who had mastered numerous skills in one lifetime. He then taught them of ninjutsu, an ancient Japanese martial art that teaches discipline and patience, although as we know some of the brothers are not the best at the later. He then protected the four brothers from the human world, as the dangers that embody it to his opinion are too dangerous for young turtles. He always has concern about the unknown but this distrust of the outside world has not ruined this man's beautiful heart. Although Splinter is a father figure to the teenage mutant ninja turtles, he never assumes this role but rather, he is simply their master, the ninja master. Splinter is an extremely protective rat, and if someone threatens his family he will not hesitate to fight for them.

Master splinter is a profound master in ninjutsu, so much so he is a grand master of the martial art. Ninjutsu preaches patience and discipline in a controlled environment, which Splinter pushes for his little turtles. Not only is he a grand master, he is also fully capable with all of the weapons that the turtles use including the Kanata, sai, nunchaku, and the Bo Staff. Not only these weapons, but his main weapon is the staff upon which he is a renowned expert. Splitter has also achieved a status of being able to control the mystical. He has mastered psychic ability, which has really helped when the little ones were misbehaving or dealing with criminals. He also perfected astral projection which allows him to leave his physical body and experience things from a different perspective. This ability is done by getting to a state of meditation where your body literally is left behind. A perfectly clear mind and immense concentration is needed to achieve this level of meditation. Splinter is a true renaissance man, he is a grand master in ninjutsu, is skilled with all sorts of ninja weapons and even his staff is a dangerous weapon when put in his hands and last but not least has perfected both psychic abilities as well as astral projection.

Master Splinter, the courageous father figure that rescued the teenage mutant ninja turtles on a faithful day, giving them a life fit for a king, especially a king who likes pizza. This article has reviewed what Master Splinter's relationship with the brothers Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo, and Donatello is, as well as his specific special abilities. He is a true renaissance man, he is a grand master in ninjutsu, can both utilize psycic ability and astral projection, as well he is an expert in all weapons that the brothers use and to add to this he makes his simple staff a weapon in a fraction of a second. Splinter is your classic father figure, extremely protective over the turtles and his biggest fear is releasing them to the unknown. He knows the turtles would be OK, but still like to keep an eye over essentially his only kin. Master Splinter is the wise old man, but this wise old man can fight like no other rat you have seen. Do not between a Splinter and his turtles or you will have a hard time.
