IXYS Corporation is a prominent maker of power semiconductors, integrated circuits and RF powers. Their products are built for power management, energy efficiency, and motor control applications. This company is going to release a new 3600V Reverse Conducting IGBT (BiMOSFETs™). We will get combined strengths of both MOSFETs and IGBTs by using this new transistor. Featuring "free" intrinsic body diodes and current ratings from 45A to 125A, these are perfect for high speed, high voltage, and high current power conversion applications.

Power transistor makers will be able to get rid of lower current rated devices and multiple series-parallel lower voltages if they use these high voltage BiMOSFETs™. As a result, the number of power components required will be reduced and their associated gate drive circuitry will be simplified. These will lower the system costs and the reliability will also be improved.

Besides, if required, credits to the favorable heat coefficient of the on-state voltage and diode forward voltage, these modules can be operated in collateral to meet even higher current necessities. Moreover, in the course of turn-off transition, the inherent body diode provides a path for the inductive load current, inhibiting high voltage transients from imposing harm to the device.

"We at IXYS pioneered the concept of the reverse conducting IGBT which we call the 'BiMOSFET' family since it combines the best features of the power MOSFET and the BJT in one monolithic chip. It evolved from our invention of the Reverse Blocking IGBT, as covered in our US Patents No. 5,698,454, 6,091,086 and 6,936,908. We now extended the voltage rating of these devices to enable simpler high voltage conversion circuits with FET-like gate controls," commented Dr. Nathan Zommer, CEO of IXYS Corporation, and co-inventor of this technology.

Various types of power switching systems can be benefitted by using the new 3600V BiMOSFETs™. Capacitor discharge circuits and AC switches, uninterruptible power supplies, switched mode and resonant mode power supplies, laser and X-ray generators are included to this list.

These inverse conducting IGBTs are obtainable in the below international standard size packages: ISOPLUS i4-Pak™, ISOPLUS i5-Pak™, and TO-247PLUS-HV. The first two packages supply an electrical isolation of 4000V through the Direct Copper Bond (DCB) substrate technology.

IXYS Corporation manufactures and sells technology-based products to enhance power conversion efficacy, generate solar and wind power, and provide effective motor control for industrial applications. IXYS provides a diverse product base that addresses worldwide needs for power control, electronic displays, and RF power, electrical efficiency, renewable energy, telecommunications, medical devices.

Numerical control (NC) is the mechanization of machine tools that are functioned by accurately programmed commands encoded on a storage mean, as against to run manually via hand wheels or levers, or mechanically automated via cams alone. Most NCs today are computer numerical control (CNC), in which computers play an integral part of the control.

Fuji Electric delivers high-performance power semiconductors for energy, automotive, information technology, and industrial applications. IGBTs (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) made my Fuji is used widely in CNC plasma cutters and welding machines.

Plasma cutting involves cutting a material using a plasma torch. It is commonly used to cut steel and other metals, but can be used on a variety of materials. In this process, gas (such as compressed air) is blown at high speed out of a nozzle; at the same time an electrical arc is formed through that gas from the nozzle to the surface being cut, turning some of that gas to plasma. The plasma is enough heated to melt the material being cut and moves pretty fast to blow molten metal away from the cut.

Arc and tube welding machines are mostly used in industrial setting for building and repair of the infrastructure. Welding power supplies are required to create an electric arc between an electrode and the base material to melt the metals at the welding point. The arc can be created by either DC or AC current with consumable or non-consumable electrodes. The welding region is sometimes protected by some type of inert or semi-inert gas.

Arc welding is popular due to low capital and running costs. For arc welding, the voltage is directly related to the length of the arc, and the current is related to the amount of heat input with typical currents of 50 to 500 amps depending on the size of weld. For arc welding with low voltages and large currents, a soft switching PWM DC-DC power converter with Fuji IGBT switches in the primary side of a high frequency transformer is considered to be the most suitable topology for the welding power supply110, 111. Power losses in the Fuji IGBTs are reduced by using soft switching resulting in a volume reduction of 59% and weight reduction of 47% compared with the hard-switching approach. Dynamic welding performance is improved due to operation at 40-kHz when compared with 13-kHz with hard-switching.

Any business inventory expecting effectiveness in their day-to-day operations should possess best inventory management software. It does not matter if you are purchasing the warehouse management system or an inventory tracking solution, what matters is the selected solution should bring ease and convenience in managing your work. OneAccounting Software, offers a comprehensive inventory management system that can be easily integrated with their Accounting Software. The option is either to purchase it along with Accounting Software or as a stand alone software that is specifically designed to suit every item in the inventory which can be from products to services and from raw materials to finished goods.

Three Important Aspects That Will Determine The Efficiency of a Comprehensive Inventory Management Software

#1. Stock Types

When you are looking for the inventory management solution, then obviously you are either offering services or providing products as a part of your business stock. Therefore, the stock types are broadly classified into four different categories

• Raw materials and components

• Unfinished goods

• Finished goods and

• Consumables

Offering great flexibility to customize stock type according to your business needs, it is up to you to use this feature to its fullest potential.

Classifying stock, according to their value is possible, which allows you to arrange the stock either in ascending or descending value. In addition to that, you can plan expenditure on new and replacement stocks and concentrate on a specific lot of stock driving more business profit.

#2. Methods to Control Stock

Usually, an inventory system will have different stock controlling methods deployed in the system. Always remember more the methods more is the benefit. If you have different types of stocks, then it is always better to opt for a system that has more than one integrated stock controlling method. Otherwise, choose the system offering the best method suiting your business and to your business needs. Here are few stock control methods used in different inventory management software's.

• Minimum Stock Level: Option to set a minimum stock level to reorder upon inventory stock reaching that level. This can also be called as 'Reorder Level'.

• Stock Reviews: Option to regularly review stock levels and during each review place an order to return stocks to a predominant level.

• Just-In-Time (JIT): Good for businesses aiming to cut stocks to a minimum level of reducing costs. Although this option poses a threat to run out of stock, inventory managers confident about their suppliers delivering on demand heavily rely on this stock controlling method. Often for refining stock control system, this method is used along with other processes.

• Reorder Lead Time: This is an option that allows time for businesses to place and receive orders of their stock.

• Economic Order Quantity: This is a standard formula used for incorporating a fine balance between holding too much or too little stock. If you want to do it manually, then it is a complex and tedious process. Prefer this feature of the stock control method if you intend to manage your stock in the above-mentioned manner.

• Batch Control: If you represent a manufacturing firm, then this formula is best for you that will allow you to manage stock of produced goods in batches.

• First In-First Out: Inventories managing perishable stock should look for this specific feature as it allows inventory managers to use the perishable stock scientifically so it will not deteriorate. The software is designed in such a manner that it is defined or identified according to the received date and then moves on to each stage in a strict manner.

The inventory management software allows enough customization if your needs are predictable. You can align the software to order fixed quantity of stock at fixed interval of time.

#3. Type of Stock Control System

Making an inventory or list of stock, thereby to understand its location and value is called as stocktaking. Often this is considered as an annual activity, a kind of stock audit for calculating the value of stock as part of the accounting process.

• With The Use of Bar Code: Using barcode is the latest trend in inventory management. However, it can be time-consuming at times, so advised, to prefer according to individual choice. Radio frequency identification tagging is another method, wherein handheld reader devices are used to maintain and track the inventory on a continuous basis. Remember the inventory management system ( http://www.oneaccountingsoftware.com/inventory-software/ ) you prefer should allow you to track stock levels, make orders and issue stock in an efficient and effective way.

• With the use of Stock Cards: This is a method integrated with the inventory management software for handling and managing complex inventories. In this feature, each type of stock is managed by issuing a stock card containing distinct information such as a description, value, location, reorder levels, details of suppliers, past stock history, etc.

How The OneAccounting Inventory Management System Helps You Organize Inventory and Increase Productivity

A Computerized inventory management system ( http://www.oneaccountingsoftware.com/inventory-software/ ) is always the best option if the business is dealing with different types of stocks. Some of the notable features that you should find in a comprehensive inventory management system are

-> Stock and pricing data is seamlessly integrated with the invoicing and accounting system. You do not have to repeat the entry of stock as all the systems are aligned to draw on the same set of data.

-> Sales Order and Purchase Order processing are integrated into the system for stock balance and statistics is processed automatically along with the processed order.

-> Stock monitoring is automated which is set to trigger an order after the set criteria for reorder is reached.

-> Businesses producing goods in batches can manage their inventory with automated batch control system.

-> Easily identify cheapest and fastest supplier

-> Bar coding system enhances the entire processing and re-coding process. The software is designed to print and read the bar codes directly from the computer.

-> Radio Frequency Identification or RFID makes it possible to track the products or its components through the entire supply chain.

Singapore is an acclaimed destination for doing business. There are plenty of reasons that keep on motivating young entrepreneurs and investors to incorporate a business in Singapore. Different entrepreneurs have different reasons to incorporate a business in Singapore. Irrespective of the reasons or irrespective of business type, Singapore for sure is the chosen and widely preferred country to do business.

Most of the foreign investors like to incorporate their business as a private liability company also referred as Pte. Ltd. company in Singapore. Being a separate legal entity, a private limited company is the most flexible, and robust business structure in Singapore.

According to the Singapore Companies Act, a company incorporated as "Limited Liability" does not hold company shareholders liable, for any kind of debts the company has incurred exceeding the total share capital contribution to the company. This makes shareholders liable, only for the total share capital they have contributed to the company. A private limited liability company can be incorporated by any local or foreign individual above the age of 18 years. Remember, companies incorporated under this business structure are not allowed to have more than fifty shareholders.

Unlike a sole proprietorship and partnership firm, a private limited company in Singapore offers many advantages to the entrepreneurs. Protecting personal assets of the individual investors and offering them specific tax benefits are two major benefits of incorporating a private limited company in Singapore. Besides, dividend allocated to shareholders is exempt from taxes and allows foreign directors, as well as shareholders to apply for the Employment Pass.

Incorporating a business in Singapore ( http://www.sbsgroup.com.sg/ ) is easy to foreign investors, only if they seek assistance from external firms offering incorporation services in Singapore. Usually, the incorporation process is divided into two major steps. First step is to register the company name and second is to incorporate a company under the registered name with Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA). Usually, foreign entrepreneurs find navigating the process of company incorporation in Singapore a bit challenging. This article is entitled to illustrate five options for them or to anyone interested to register a business in Singapore.

1) Choosing the Business Name: Before starting the actual incorporation procedure, it is important to choose the business name. It would be better if you select the name that will identify or highlight the products or services you will be offering. Having more than one name ready for approval always pays up, as ACRA has strict norms regarding company names and its approval. If everything is alright and your chosen company name does not violate any terms and conditions put forth by ACRA, it takes few hours to approve your business name.

2) Nature of Business Activity: There are certain businesses where you need appropriate licenses and permits to start and operate your business. Banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, bars, casinos, private educational institutions, recruitment and travelling agencies are some businesses requiring business specific licenses and permits. Apart from that, businesses intending to import goods as well as businesses intending to manufacture and sell goods, liquors or foodstuffs within Singapore will require special licenses and permits from specially appointed authorities.

3) The Initial Paid Up Capital: Actually, this is important, but not much-anticipated step in the process of Singapore business incorporation ( http://www.sbsgroup.com.sg/ ). Singapore Companies Act does not impose any restrictions on minimum paid up capital. An entrepreneur can register his/her business in Singapore with an initial paid-up capital of one Singaporean dollar. Whilst, there are no any restrictions on the type of currency. As an entrepreneur, you are allowed to use any currency as share capital for your business. Nevertheless, it would be better if you start your business with a heavy amount as incorporating a travelling business will require an initial paid up capital of about S$10, 000.

4) Appointing Company Director: Anyone above the age of 18 years and under 70 years of age can be appointed as a company director. Provided that the appointed person should have clean records and should not possess a history of declared bankruptcy. There should be at least one director who should be a permanent resident of Singapore. In case if you want to appoint a foreign director then he/she should possess a valid Employment Pass. As per the Singapore Companies Act, an interim nominee director acts as a director of the company, until the foreign director receives his/her employment pass. The acting director will resign after the foreign director obtains employment pass.

5) Determining Shareholders: Determining and approving shareholders along with their paid-up capital contribution is one of the major steps to register a business in Singapore. At least one director and maximum fifty shareholders are allowed to a private limited company. Besides, foreign or even local shareholders are allowed to own 100% shares in a company.

Is task of a company incorporation in Singapore too, difficult? Some of the entrepreneurs may be under the impression that it is. Moving to a different economic zone to start a new business is sometimes tricky. It is very true, especially, when the entrepreneurs or the investors are planning to target a market that is radically different to their own. In general, if they do not have firsthand experience of the market and are banking on what they came to know about it from the others, things might get difficult for them.

Factors Affecting the Moral of Entrepreneurs

What could stall a Singapore business incorporation? The language barrier, pro business attitude of the government, corruption in the bureaucracy, trained workforce, infrastructure, tax rates and ease of doing business in the targeted market place are of very much importance to a newcomer.

If the individual is also thinking of relocating, then, the factors like, social environment, acceptance of foreign nationals, medical facilities, quality of education, social safety and etc., also counts. If one considers Singapore on the basis of the factors discussed above, it is hard to miss that it is one of the most ideal market to base one's business in.

The organizations and experts, in the know, have rated it very high for the ease of doing business. Its multilingual workforce, most of which knows English, has a lot offer to the multinational as well as to the small and medium business owners. However, the main pulling-force is exerted by the lower tax rates that are applicable in Singapore. The personal and corporate income tax rate max out at 20% and 17%, respectively.

1. Legality of a Private Limited Company in Singapore

The private limited companies are registered under the Chapter 50 of the Companies Act of Singapore. These business entities offer protection to the shareholders and other stakeholders by limiting their liability to the capital they have used to buy the shares. It exists as a separate legal entity from the stakeholders and enjoys the status of a natural born individual. It can buy and sell real estate for its own purposes.

On their client's behalf, they file an application of incorporation with the Company Resistrar ie ACRA and also supply Memorandum and Article of association giving details about the company's operations and its management structure.

The entrepreneurs and business owners need to check the availability of a company name for their business and get it approved by the Company Resistrar. This agency has the authority to reject offensive names as well as those resembles the existing ones. The Singapore business formation takes more time, if it intends to operate in the regulated areas like, the banking, casino, education, finance, insurance, etc. Such business formations are more often than not, are approved at the ministerial levels.

6. Corporate Bank Account

Professionals employed by the incorporation services in Singapore also help their clients in opening a corporate bank account. They also order company seals and stamps which then are handed over to the company secretary for the safekeeping.

7. Annual General Meeting

It is binding for a new Singapore company set up to hold its first Annual General Meeting (AGM) within the 18 months of its incorporation. The time duration between consecutive AGMs should not be more than 15 months at the most.

Article Title: Grand Canyon Airplane - Flying From Vegas to the South Rim

I get lots of questions about seeing the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas. One of the biggest misperceptions is that helicopters go to the South Rim, which they can't because it's too far. To which I typically recommend the direct airplane tour.

This particular tour leaves about three times a day and primarily in the morning. The flight over takes about 60 minutes, which is awesome because it takes a car or a bus about 5.5 hours to make the trip. Further, the plane flies you over Lake Mead, the West Rim and the Colorado River en route to the National Park.

The South Rim

The plane lands at Grand Canyon Airport in Tusayan, AZ, which is the small town just outside the front gates to the Park. Depending on which package you purchase, you'll either transfer to a helicopter or a bus and here's a little more information about both options.

If you transfer straight to the bus, you'll drive into the Park. From there, you'll do a circuit that covers all the important Park landmarks like Mather Point, Yavapai Point, the Grand Canyon Visitor Center and Grand Canyon Village.

If you transfer to the helicopter, buckle up because you're going to take an unforgettable aerial tour of the Canyon that goes from the South Rim to the West Rim and back. The highlight of this tour is the Dragoon Corridor, which is the widest and deepest part of the Canyon. On the ground, you head to the bus and do the ground tour.

Helicopters

I strongly recommend taking the option that includes the helicopter. The Grand Canyon is 1.2-million acres and impossible to see in a day unless you go over it in a helicopter. This is especially effective when combined with a ground tour because you'll appreciate everything you just saw from the air.

Planes are rather large and can hold up to 19 people. Each is totally customized for sightseeing. For example, the wings of the aircraft are attached to the top of the plane so you can see everything below. The windows, too, have been modified and are super large. Finally, airplanes are equipped with audio tours in up to 10 languages, which is great for international travelers.

The majority of plane tours depart from Boulder City, NV, which is a 30-minute shuttle ride from Las Vegas, NV. There are others that depart from Henderson, NV, which is a suburb of Vegas that's about 15 minutes on the outskirts. But for the best rate, you'll want to depart from Boulder. Very few plane tours depart from the Vegas Strip, and those that do are private charters and very expensive.

Weather

The South Rim is cooler than Las Vegas, which is ideal if you are making the trip during late spring or summer. For example, from May through September, Las Vegas temperatures are well over 100 degrees while those at the South Rim are in the high 80's and very low 90's (Note: during summer stay hydrated by drinking lots of water. Further, eat lots of salty snacks as they help replenish electrolytes).

Enjoy and have a great flight!

1. Is Fluoride A Nutrient?

Doesn't the term "fluoride" sound like something you would find on the periodic table of elements? Doesn't the term "fluoride" enter your mind as something safe and beneficial? Fluoride is NOT an element at all, but an ionic compound containing fluorine, the single most reactive element. Fluoride is an industrial by-product of steel, cement, aluminum, phosphate, and nuclear weapons manufacturing. Fluoride is a toxin, not a nutrient.

2. When Did Fluoridation Begin?

In the United States, fluoride was added to our drinking water on January 25, 1945. On this date, Grand Rapids, Michigan became the first community to fluoridate its drinking water to prevent tooth decay. Exactly how fluoride helps protect teeth, or how much it protects them, remains unclear. In 1955, Crest became the first company to add fluoride to its brand.

3. How Did Fluoride Get Added To Our Drinking Water?

In a brilliant and clever public relations campaign, fluoride was transformed into a health phenomenon, repositioning it as an essential nutrient for dental care, and taking all attention away from its inherent toxicity. The public, based on poor science at best, fell for it! We were brain washed. We are brain washed still. It is an unethical form of mass-medication, without each individual's knowledge or consent.

Instead of costing industries billions of dollars to dispose of this environmental pollutant, they made millions selling it to water and toothpaste companies!

4. How Toxic Is Fluoride?

According to "Clinical Toxicology of Commercial Products", fluoride is more poisonous than lead and a little less poisonous than arsenic. It is a poison that accumulates in your bones year after year. Confirmed by Argonne National Laboratories in 1989, fluoride has the ability to transform normal cells into cancer cells. Fluoride, even at doses of 1ppm, which is what is found in household drinking water, has the ability to damage immune systems, worsen arthritis, and inhibit enzyme systems, according to the "Physicians Desk Reference". Also, in a study conducted by Procter and Gamble, it was concluded that fluoride used to fluoridate our drinking water resulted in significant increase in genetic damage.

5. What Products Use Fluoride?

Fluoride is used in the manufacturing of refrigerators, herbicides, computer screens, plastic, and light bulbs, to name a few. Sodium fluoride is used in, but not limited to, rat poison, cockroach poison, and household toothpaste!

6. Do I Need To Detox?

When you think about detoxing, think beyond the food. Think about all the products that you put ON your body as well. Our skin is our largest elimination organ. Everything you put on your skin is absorbed in your blood stream in about 27 seconds.

Think about your body being a bathtub, and the toxins you intake being the water filling your bathtub. Because we blindly believe the advertisers and marketers about the safety and health of the products we ingest and put on our bodies, we continuously add water to our bathtubs. As your bathtub fills, your body supplies you with plenty of warning signals that we write off as "normal", like constipation, chronic fatigue, angry skin, weight gain, bloated stomach, etc. Eventually, the bathtub overflows because it cannot handle any more water. This is when your body starts flashing the red alert and stops functioning properly in BIG ways, like becoming chronically ill.

Below is a partial list of physical signs of toxicity in your body. If you are currently experiencing any of them, it is a good indication that your body needs a well-deserved detox.

-Bloating -Acid Reflux -Indigestion

-Weight gain-Slow Digestion-Inability to lose weight

-Muscle aches-Headaches-Joint pain

-Sugar cravings -Anxiety -Blood sugar problems

-Chronic fatigue-Low libido-Decreased metabolism

-Fatty liver -Fibromyalgia -Gallbladder issues

-Allergies-Food sensitivity-Poor concentration

-Hemorrhoids -Constipation -Autoimmune diseases

-Acne-Skin irritations-Cellulite

-Depression-Mood swings-Anger issues

-Inflammation-Disturbed sleep -Excessive sweating

-Hot flashes -PMS -Menopausal symptoms

7. Get A Head Start With A Reputable Detox Program

A good detox program will guide you every step of the way so that you can enjoy a better quality of life! If you are like me, it can be very difficult to do anything all by yourself. When you can be a part of something that is bigger than yourself, and share the same concerns and goals, it is like magic! Detoxing can be fun and easier than you think, as your body quickly responds to what is actually good and healthy for it.

Make a commitment to join a viable, reliable, truth-based detox program and stick with it from beginning to end. The recommended time frame to fully participate in your detox program is four weeks. For most, this is the duration required to make or break a habit. This allows your body the time it needs to establish new, healthy habits, and rid itself from harmful addictions. You will be AMAZED how quickly your body acclimates to the new YOU and your new clean eating lifestyle!

If you are looking for Hajj Umrah packages, you are among those thousands of religious Muslims who love to go on pilgrimages and immerse themselves in the bliss of Makkah. Anyone who can financially and physically afford to for Hajj or Umrah trip should undertake the journey for spiritual reasons. A true pilgrim travels to Makkah not to ask for materialistic gains but for Allah and Allah alone.

Circumambulation of the Ka'aba is an important rite for Hajj and Umrah. And do you know the actual story of this revered structure? Let's go back a little into history to appreciate its beauty.

Makkah is an old town in the province of Hejaz that lies in western region of Arabian Peninsula. It is now a part modern Saudi Arabia. Ka'aba located in the centre of this town is a small cubical building made of stones. It is about 60 feet long, 60 feet wide and 60 feet high. Throughout history of Makkah, travellers from around the world have come to visit this building. In Islam, it is Baitullah, or the House of Allah. Legends tell that it was ordained by Allah to be built in the shape of the House in Heaven, called Baitul Ma'amoor. Allah who has boundless mercy for His worshippers, ordained a similar place on earth and some believe that Prophet Adam had first built this structure.

There is another story that describes construction of Ka'aba when Allah ordered Prophet Ibrahim to erect a shrine for worship. At that time Ibrahim was ordered to go to the Southern desert with his wife Hagera and infant son Ismail. Holy Quran has brought this story into the real light of history. According to Sura 3:90 of Qur'an:

"Allah has spoken the Truth, therefore follow the creed of Ibrahim, a man of pure faith and no idolater".

Therefore it was actually Prophet Ibrahim who was the real founder of Ka'aba. When he built this holy shrine in Makkah, he prayed for the place to always remain a centre of worship for all good and pious men and women. He prayed to Allah that the Ka'aba be always kept safe and holy.

Ismail, the son of Prophet Ibrahim also helped his father to build the Ka'aba and his family remained the custodians of this beautiful shrine. For hundreds of years, the Ka'bah was in care of Ismail's descendents and from them the name of Abde Manaf became very popular. When he inherited this service, it became even more prominent. His son Hashim took over the leadership and took the prominence forward to many other towns. And then pilgrims started to visit the place. They were also treated to feast offered by Hashim and his family.

Islam is a monotheistic religion. Prophet Ibrahim had built this House of Allah for worship to one God. But even within his lifetime, people had defied his orders and started putting idols in Ka'aba. Prophet Ibrahim (and later his successors) had to remove these idols. The Prophet had even explained it to people that Ka'aba is a symbolic house of God and He does not physically reside there as He is omnipotent.

During the early years of Prophet Muhammad (May Peace be upon him) the Ka'aba got damaged by floods but was rebuilt soon.

Today, this beautiful symbol of faith is surrounded by Al Masjid Al Haram. Its walls are covered with a black silk curtain called Kiswa that is also embroidered with verses from Holy Quran.

Opposite the north west wall but not attached to it, is a semicircular wall of white marble. It is 3 feet high and around 5 feet broad. This semicircular space has a particular reverence and pilgrims wait in row to find a place to worship there.

For locomotives, which are driven by diesel or electricity, EMU and DEMU vehicles with AC Traction Motors, new microprocessor based AC-AC Traction System (MAS) offers the latest in technology combining IGBT based Traction Converter with DSP and microprocessor based embedded controls. Microprocessor based Locomotive Control system is used in conjunction with IGBT based traction converter to implement this solution.

Federal Railway of Switzerland has granted ABB Switzerland an agreement valued approximately SFr 69.2m ($US 75.4m) to provide latest traction apparatuses for its convoy of 119 Re460 electric locomotives as a section of a SFr 230m middle-life renovation program.

According to this contract, 202 IGBT traction converters will be supplied by ABB with an option for 38 additional units which are water-cooled. As per SSB's opinion, it will be possible to reduce traction power consumption by 27GWh per year by converting the convoy to IGBT which is sufficient electricity to power 6750 homes.

Latest oil-free dual compressors will be used to equip the Re 460s. These are intended to minimize power dissipation when the locomotives are immobile. Besides this, advantages like advanced air conditioning and heating in the driver's cabs and latest fire safety systems for operation in the Gotthard Base Tunnel can be achieved by using this.

A conventional locomotive will be modernized by using IGBT converters by the end of coming year and will pass through test runs for a year before the left 118 locomotives are updated. The renovations will be executed at SBB's Yverdon-les-Bains workshop and the program is expected to be finished in 2022.

Since the early 1990s, the 200km/h four-axle Re460 has been the base of SBB's long-range convoy. As a segment of the Rail 2000 project to bring up-to-date train services and raise retention on the Swiss mainline network, the locomotives were introduced and these are built by a Swiss consortium of SLM and ABB. It is expected that this modernization program will prolong their operational life by 20 years.

A $240m IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) manufacture plant has been commenced by Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co, a semiconductor maker from China. The company has done this by comprising technology enhanced by Dynex Semiconductor, its supplementary in the United Kingdom. This plant is mentioned to be the first of its category in China and the second all over the world.

Using eight-inch silicon wafers, high performance IGBT modules and chips will be produced in this new factory which is located in Zhuzhou. Output is supposed to touch 120,000 wafers and 1 million IGBT modules every year in the first stage of the operation

CSR's recently formed semiconductor business is managing the latest IGBT range. Its European subsidiary is Dynex.

The multinational CSR Zhuzhou Research & Development Centre is located at Dynex's site in Lincoln, United Kingdom. The centre was set up in 2010 to focus on cutting-edge power semiconductor technology and, particularly, on the succeeding generation of IGBT products. The technology is being used to make new IGBTs in the new facility has been developed in this R&D centre.

Over two years were needed by the latest production line to be built. Technical advice, support, staff training were provided by Dynex throughout this process, both in China and in Lincoln.

IGBTs are a crucial part in high-efficacy electrical power transformation systems used in variable-speed motor drives, uninterruptable power supplies, power grids, trains, renewable power plants and electric and hybrid electric vehicles. Using the latest soft-punch-through field-stop and trench technologies, high-power modules will be manufactured initially by the new range.

Dr Paul Taylor, president and CEO of Dynex says, "Since the acquisition of Dynex by CSR Times Electric in 2008, there has been a rapid development in our IGBT capability."

"Since the acquisition of Dynex by CSR Times Electric in 2008, there has been a rapid development in our IGBT capability," says Dr Paul Taylor, president and CEO of Dynex. "We began with four–inch wafers, then upgraded to six-inch at our plant in Lincoln. We then extended our technology to support the design of this new facility. It complements our base in the UK by giving us access to a world-leading eight-inch IGBT wafer fabrication facility and a high-volume module assembly line.

"Our rapid development does not stop there," he adds. "The new line has been kitted out with the latest equipment, and the next phase of expansion is already being planned. This targets key markets such as electric automotive and renewable energy. So at our UK R&D Centre, we are already working on designing the next generation of advanced silicon and silicon carbide power devices, and are busy recruiting new staff to expand our multinational research, design and development teams to meet this exciting new challenge."

People who get a payday loan in the United Kingdom can use the money to pay a variety of bills such as car repairs and childcare bills. These loans are great for people who do not have credit cards but need cash urgently. Even though payday loans are easy and convenient to get, there are a few issues that can prevent people from obtaining them. One important aspect people should consider before applying for a cash advance is how their credit report will be affected.

Payday loans in the United Kingdom

Consumers need to remember that usually, instant payday loans will not directly affect their credit scores. Almost every lender forgoes the credit review process. But even though credit is not a big concern for lenders, there are some situations that can negatively affect one's score. For those who do not repay the loan according the terms of the contract, the consequences can be severe. Most of the time, lenders will not report late payments, especially if an extension is granted. However, people who completely default on their payday loan should expect that default to be reflected on their credit score.

Once the delinquent payday loans is reported to the credit bureau, the borrower will run into additional financial problems. Besides a lower credit score, people who default will have a harder time getting a loan, credit card or other financing in the future. In addition, a lender does have the option to file suit in order to reclaim lost money. After becoming aware of how delinquent payments can effect one's finances, there are some measures borrowers can take to keep their credit report in good standing.

First of all, borrowers should always take the time to prioritise how they plan to pay their bills. The best, and really the only, way an individual can avoid the negative effects of payment defaults is not to pay late. If one cannot repay the loan per the agreement, they should notify the lender right away and try to work out a revised repayment plan. Most repayments are taken via automatic drafts from the borrower's bank account. Therefore, the borrower should make sure they have enough funds in the bank on the day the automatic draft is scheduled.

Payday loans UK lenders

There are also lenders who report on-time payers to credit bureaus, which is advantageous to those who satisfy their payday loans online as their credit score will increase. However, not all lenders will do this so it is important to shop around and verify that they do before signing a loan agreement. Of course, people should only borrow an amount they can afford to pay back. And if one needs something clarified on the contract, they should not be afraid to ask the lender.

These companies do sometimes check your credit standing with credit reference agencies, just as banks do before they approve you for a loan. However, the companies that deal in payday loans are not very stringent in the standards they apply for qualification for funding. You will therefore get cash from them that will help you tide over your financial difficulties.

It is very important for you to understand that the ease with which you can get money from these companies comes at a cost. The rate of interest that these companies charge is usually extremely high which is only to be expected since they have to take on a higher level of risk in order to give out bad credit loans.

Financial institutions worldwide base their rate on interest on the amount of risk they have to take on, for obvious reasons. Most companies that offer payday loans charge a rate of 25 % on the amount they lend you. However, there are plenty of takers for these loans because they are sometimes essential in order to help people deal with financial crises of all sorts.

A casual search of the internet will lead you to plenty of companies that offer instant payday loans even if you have a low credit rating. Make sure that you choose one that offers you the best terms so that the total cost can be as low as possible. You should also ensure that you pay them off by the agreed date instead of defaulting on them. This is essential in order to make sure that your credit rating does not fall even further, making subsequent loans impossible or far too expensive.

That's just one example. You could print your art on canvas or you could experiment with computer software and create your own design and have that printed as a canvas print, the ideas and ways to get your images on canvas is limitless, Whatever you think, as long as it's a digital image in some sort of form then it can be transferred to a canvas photo print for you to enjoy and hang up in your home.

Another example of turning your photographic image into a stunning canvas print is the big craze of the Keep calm and carry on image, this image was a sign and a poster from the Second World War back in 1939. It was a motivation poster from the government to keep people calm and to basically carry on with their lives and that all will be ok. This sign was big back then and it has also made a very big come back to our lives with many people using the image and having it printed onto their own posters for their own décor and even canvas prints to. The great thing about this idea is that people have been using the same style of text and in the same format they are using the slogan and changing the words to read something more personal to them self's. Something like "Take part and create art" is a really great saying to have, another one is "Be bright and always right" . These are just some of the art and sayings that are used in the style of the "Keep calm and carry on" canvas prints that many people are using to decorate their homes with. It's such a great idea to as making your favourite canvas art is one of the most fun things you can do when It comes to decorating some wall space and sometimes you might not have any ideas and any favourite photos that you want to have printed so having some word art like this is a great way to some canvas photo prints art in your home.

Speaking of word art, there is also a new type of canvas printing way to get words and art and pictures all into one image and one canvas print. There is software out there now that you can use, or if you can't get a hold of the software then there is specialist out there that can create this sort of art for you. It's basically taking on photo, let's say it's your dog, and then cutting the dog out of the image via some kind of Photoshop software and then filling the online of the dog with words that means lot to you, for instance the dogs name or the place you take your dog to when you walk him or her, things like that.

So as you can see there is so many different ways you can take advantage of the famous canvas print. If you have a passion for photos or if you're just looking for a great business idea then printing photos on canvas may be the thing for you. There is a lot of expertise that goes into canvas printing but if you do your home work and get some advice from a canvas printer that has got experience then you can make a good little amount of pocket money for yourself. Or even if you're an artist and you want to print your own artwork on to canvas prints, you could either get another companies to do your canvas printing for you or your could buy some second hand machinery and ad do it yourself.

If you're looking to make some canvas prints yourself then the main key ingredients would be to have a large format printer, you can get a second hand inkjet printer on ebay for around £1000 upward depending on what size printer you would like. The bigger the printer the more expensive it would be. Then you need stretcher bar frames. You could just start by purchasing a few different sizes and then as you get busier you can add more and more sizes to your collection and then you can start to purchase boxes of a certain size stretcher bar, that way you will get the cheaper in the end.

The next thing you will need is some work space, get yourself some kind of table that is flat so you have room to be able to place your canvas print and your canvas printing work over wile you attach it to the frame. You will need some canvas pliers and a staple gun of some sort. There is plenty of different staple guns for canvas printing online that you can choose from and any of those will do the job.

Then all you need is a computer and some inkjet canvas and then you're ready to make your canvas print. There is quite a lot to it but if you're thinking of doing it long term then it get easier as you go. You will need some kind of image editing software to which will enable you to be able to crop images and change the size of them so they fit the frame that you will be framing the canvas print to. Once you have done that then you simply send the job to your printer and let the printer work its magic. Once you have the finished canvas print your simply take it to your table and stretch and staple your canvas photo print over your wooden stretcher bar frame and there you have it, One wonderful work of art.

Like I said before there is quite a lot to making your own canvas print and if you're an artist that is just looking to make a couple duplicates of their work to show case at a sale or art fair then it might be worth just sending your work to a professional canvas printers for them to make your canvas prints for you as it's not a job where you can learn it over night and it takes time to master the stretching side of the canvas framing to but if you're interested in making a few pounds for yourself then it might be worth your trying it yourself. Such a fun and amazing way to get photos in to some kind of artwork form that are great once displayed in a home which is why they are so popular these days and why so many people love them. The way that technology has came now days it's really great that we can produce such a brilliant and stunning home decoration for all our photos and memories to be show cased on.

The thing that is so beautiful about having your own photo printed as a canvas print is that it makes it personal to you, it's great if you are able to get some of your photos printed on to a canvas print because it's a really good way of celebrating those photos. Let's say you had a big family event and you managed to capture lots of great photos, or even let's say you paid a professional photographer to take lots of stunning photos of you and your family then it would be such a great way to really appreciate those photos by printing them on to canvas prints and showing them off to the world.

Another really good approach to having canvas pictures in your home is you can get canvas prints online that are available as stock canvas printing. You don't have to have some of your own personalised photos printed as you can simply select from an array of pictures and designs and artwork online and choose the one that you think would look good in the room that you are decorating. If you do that then you don't have to worry about making sure you image is of high enough quality as sometimes your photos can be too small to print from on to canvas if they are not the original images. This also helps if you don't actually have any personal photos to hand that you can use to transform into great canvas prints.

Canvas art look just as good once hung up on your walls and sometimes it can be a lot easier to simply just purchase an artwork piece that is in front of you at a certain size rather than having to upload your photo and waiting for the canvas printers to confirm your photo is ok. It can be a much quicker way to get some canvas prints for you home to which is great.

The city is known for having mega hotels, casino complexes and Las Vegas Helicopters that create an ideal environment for fantasy and excitement. These hotels are many and offer comfort to visitors who visit the city around the year.

The city is known as a gambling hotspot and has a very colorful nightlife. When you are in Las Vegas the Grand Canyon, which is one of the exciting features on a Las Vegas tour, keeps drawing you. The Canyon is a world heritage site and one of the greatest tourist attraction sites in the United States.

At night when you are in a helicopter, Las Vegas looks like patches of diamond in a desert. There are also sites like the Mirage Volcano, the Eiffel Tower at Paris, the Bellagio fountains, and the Statue of Liberty at the New-New York, Hiller Roller, and the iconic stratosphere. These are some highlights of The Strip.

The Grand Canyon National Park is in two sections. The North Rim and the South Rim sections in the national park, offer different exciting features like the Havasupai Indian Reservation for tourists. The South Rim is always the most popular with visitors, but there is also the Grand Canyon West that also handles many visitors every year.

There are different means of transport that you can use to visit these sites. There are helicopter tours at the Canyon that will allow you to have the best aerial view of rock formation. On the flight, you can be able to see the Colorado River, Kaibab Forest, lush forests, Temple Butte, and Zuni point. There is always much one can be able to see at the attraction sites at the Grand Canyon.

The Zuni point one of the most attractive and frightening aspects of the Grand Canyon is the deepest and the widest part of the Canyon. Tourists always have a breath- taking experience when flying over this area. When visitors travel above Zuni Point the feeling of excitement that it brings to the tourists can be compared to no other feeling in the world during the journey.

At the Grand Canyon, which is one of the seven natural wonders in the World you fly over Lake Mead, Hoover Dam. For those who love to have hiking experience, the landscape offers an overwhelming experience for those who visit the Grand Canyon.

Finally, words would not be enough to describe the features in Las Vegas and at the Canyon. And for this reason it is important for you to take a trip to this great site and see what wonders the world has to offer to humankind.

Spring is in the air and that means it's time to book that Grand Canyon float tour. There are several outstanding adventures from which to choose and here's a quick overview of the best.

The Starting Point

The South Rim is by far the place to be when it comes to float tours. Trips start from Grand Canyon National Park Airport in Tusayan, which is the small town just outside the gates of the South Rim.

The most inexpensive option is the one that goes by bus from the South Rim to Page, AZ. The drive takes about 3 hours and it goes through some incredible countryside that includes the Little Colorado River Gorge and the Painted Desert.

Once the bus reaches Page, it heads for Glen Canyon Dam, the foot of which is home to the docks that hold the 19-man, adventure grade pontoon rafts. Before getting there, however, the bus has to go through a major tunnel to the base of the Dam.

The Float

At the dock, you'll transfer to the raft and begin the 15.5-mile float tour down the majestic Colorado River, the course of which takes you by the internationally famous Horseshoe Bend, a red sandstone cut in the river you'll never forget.

En route to Lee's Ferry, which is the terminus, you'll pull off at several sandy beaches, including one where you'll enjoy lunch (included in the package) and another where you'll have the option to do a short walk into a mystic canyon to view ancient Indian rock art. Of course, swimming is welcome and it's why I recommend folks dress for it, especially during the summer months when the bottom of the canyon can get hotter than 100 degrees (and it's why I also recommend wearing a brimmed hat and bringing lots of sun block).

The Trading Post

Once the float concludes, you'll hop aboard an air-conditioned bus and make your way back to the Rim after making a quick stop at the famous Cameron Trading Post where you'll find a monster selection of authentic Indian handicrafts.

Option #2 is more expensive and does everything Number One does except instead of taking the bus to Page you fly over. Flight time is just 60 minutes and you'll cruise past some of the most notable landmarks in the National Park like Desert Watchtower, the Colorado River Confluence and Imperial Point.

You'll land at the Page airport, transfer to a 4x4 Jeep and do tour of Antelope Canyon, famous for its slot canyons. Then it's back on the Jeep straight for the bottom of Glen Canyon Dam and the docks so you can partake in the float tour. At Lee Ferry, you'll join the others on the bus back to the South Rim.

Conclusion

I hope this article about 1-day Grand Canyon float tours helped you decide between option #1 (the bus) and option #2 (the airplane and Jeep). Keep in mind that there are NO whitewater rapids on this tour so kids as young as 4 are welcome. It's also a great trip for active seniors. So come aboard! It's time to cruise the Colorado River!
