Want more time to job search? Would you like to find 9 hours of job search time per week? Do you find yourself asking these questions?

"How am I supposed to look for a job, when I am employed?"

"Finding a job is a full-time job…and I already have a job. How am I supposed to do this?"

Sound familiar? It is a perplexing dilemma in today's world of over scheduling, multitasking and uber-achievement. But there is help. These strategies and tools have been time-tested to generate at least 9 hours per week in time that can be used towards a job search, when these tactics are employed consistently and diligently.

Are you up for the challenge? Here goes - 5 Ways to find more hours for your job search:

    (1) Shut off all notifications on your smart phone and your computer. (Gains 2.5 hours minimum)

This is not as easy as it sounds. It can be a multistage process and can actually take a couple of weeks to figure out. First, simply turning the Notification Center to the OFF position for a particular item (ex. Email, Facebook) doesn't necessarily mean you will no longer receive notifications…oh no. There's more to do. In addition to that, you have to turn off the Alert Style (to avoid getting banner alerts) and the Badge App Icon (or you will receive the icon pop-up notification number that can send your notification addiction back into a frenzy).

These steps need to be taken for EVERY app/function on your iPhone. This elimination of constant distractions (SQUIRREL!) can save approximately 10 seconds reviewing each notification, approximately 150 notifications per day conservatively, which is a 2.5 hour savings per week (10 seconds x 150 notifications x 7 days).

    (2) Unsubscribe from newsletters. Or at least get these out of your main email account. (Gains 3.25 hours per week).

Unsubscribe from newsletters you haven't read in over a week after receiving it. And others that you read/scan for professional development and general interest, redirect them to another email address dedicated just for newsletters. Some have decided to use Feedly as an alternative to Google Reader. Now Gmail users can use the sorting and prioritization functions to move newsletters to another area. Pick your poison, but do it now.

The good news - your email can decrease to such a point that you feel you need to check your email is working occasionally. (Can you say detox?) The time saved not reading these emails on the fly, being disrupted and having to refocus on a project at hand can be quite significant. At least 45 minutes per day, or 5.25 hours per week. Instead, schedule two 1-hour slots per week to read the articles in the designated newsletter email account. And since you are focused on the reading, you can create defined action items from the new knowledge absorbed. Net time saved? 5.25 hours minus 2 hours is 3.25 hours saved.

    (3) Set up job search processes and systems to streamline your time. (Gains 1.25 Hours)

Not having to create letters, resume customizations and other communications from scratch each time will easily save you 1.25 hours per week. For example, if you make 5 submissions per week and each take you 45 minutes to do (3.75 hours), if you set up personalized templates of your more frequently used types of documents and are not starting the customization from scratch, you will easily cut that application time by 33%, or a 1.25 hour savings.

    Suggested processes to create are:

    • House your resume as a personal template with sections highlighted to customize each time, but in a simple, time-saving manner. Once you make all of the customizations, then save that version of your resume in a resume file named for future search ease.

    • Have multiple templates of your personal cover letters created (ie Formal, Job Posting Response, Networking Connection, Referred By So-in-So). Like the previous suggestion, do not start your customizations from the beginning each time. Have template variations made with common changes you make and start your customization further along in the process, saving you time.

    • Organize your time and applications with an Excel spreadsheet, or applications like ApplyMate or JibberJobber to track contact dates, contacts made, and future actions to take.

    (4) Set up job alerts to have the right jobs forwarded to you. Do not troll the job boards. (Easy 2 hour/week of time savings).

Most popular and niche job boards have an alert function. In Google, you can set up Google Alerts, where common searches you perform for job openings can have search results sent to you periodically. There is no bigger waste of time than scrolling long lists of job postings looking for the right jobs to which to apply.

    (5) Lastly, and this is the most important step, you have to prioritize it.

Learn how to say 'no' to commitments that are not supporting your ability to create time for your job search. If you do not prioritize it, no one else will. Not your spouse, your co-workers, your executive coach, your accountability partner, your manager, your children, your friends…no one will prioritize this for you. So you need protect your time and guard it with your life. Saying 'no' is the most powerful way to get this accomplished. If you want to do a job search, you will. No 'time savings' for this step, per say, but if your head is focused on your job search, you will find a way to make time for it.

Hopefully these tips will help you find more time for your job search and land the job you've been seeking. Another great tip is to find a professional resume writing and job search service to help with your job search. They can save you a considerable amount of time by providing you with an excellent targeted resume.

Do you understand email marketing? If you do not, you do not have to worry just yet. This is because the concept of email marketing is relatively new and many business owners have not started to take advantage of this wonderful marketing tool yet. However, there are some savvy business owners who are already employing email marketing techniques to create additional business for themselves and to gain an advantage over the competition. While not having a great deal of knowledge about email marketing is not an immediate threat to your business, you should start learning about this concept to ensure it does not become a problem for you later as more and more business owners in your niche begin to take advantage of the concept of email marketing. This article will provide information on email marketing which should be useful to business owners who do not have experience with the subject matter.

Business owners should first understand the options available to them in terms of email marketing. The most common options include sending out mass emails with promotional materials, publishing and distributing e-newsletters and offering correspondence courses via email. The advantage to all of these marketing strategies is the ability to reach a worldwide audience. Unlike traditional methods of marketing such as television and radio ads or print media ads which only reach an audience in a limited area anyone with access to the Internet can benefit from your email marketing techniques.

Mass emails are the most popular form of email marketing. This includes emails which are sent to hundreds, thousands or even millions of recipients at once. The problem with this type of marketing is the potential for having your emails viewed as spam. This is likely to occur if you send your emails to recipients who have no interest in your products or services and have not expressed interest in receiving emails from you.

E-newsletters are also becoming increasingly popular as a form of email marketing. E-newsletters can be a simple or as complex as you prefer and may include text, graphics, advertisements, links or any combination of these elements. One of the first decisions you will have to make is whether you wish to make your e-newsletter strictly text or include graphics in the e-newsletter. If you are on a tight budget, it may be worthwhile to only include text to avoid the need to hire a graphic artist. You may be able to incorporate graphics yourself but they won't look nearly as professional as the graphics provided by a professional. Likewise you can certainly write your own copy for your e-newsletter but you will likely create a much better impression if you hire a qualified professional writer to create the content for you instead.

Hiring a professional graphic artist and a professional writer may seem like an extraneous expense but it is actually quite important. Your e-newsletter may be the first impression many potential customers get of you and your work so it is important to make sure everything is of the highest quality.

Correspondence courses offered via email is the final email marketing strategy we will discuss. These courses may be either offered for a fee and turn into a source of income themselves or they may be made available for free. The theory behind offering these courses for free is they often contain subtle advertising urging visitors to invest in the products and services offered by your business. Whether you charge for your email correspondences courses or offer them for free, care should be taken to ensure the information contained in these courses is completely accurate. This is critical because potential customers who receive these email courses will be judging your business based on the quality and accuracy of these email courses. If they are filled with errors the potential customer may doubt the quality of your work and seek out the products and services offered by others including your direct competitors.

The subject of whether or not it is acceptable to use advertising in email market is hotly debated with some Internet marketers being strongly in favor of placing advertisements in email marketing while others are strongly against the use of advertisements in email marketing. Still others take a more neutral stance and are not either firmly for or against the use of advertising in email marketing. This article will take a look at both sides of the argument and allow the reader to formulate his own opinions on whether or not this subject is worthwhile.

There are some Internet marketers who are strongly in favor of the use of advertisements in emails distributed for marketing purposes. Those who favor the use of advertisements view the sale of advertising space on email marketing materials such as emails or e-newsletters as a way to generate profit from the email marketing itself. They also believe this tactic puts less pressure on the Internet marketer to meet the expectations of the members of the email distribution list because the emails are already generating a profit even if they do not entice the email recipients to make a purchase.

Those who are firmly against the use of advertising in email marketing feel as though this makes the advertisements seem more like spam and less like marketing materials or useful information. Those on this side of the fence feel as though any advertisement in an email marketing campaign should be subtle advertising for the products and services offered by the distributor of the email and not advertisements for businesses who have paid for an advertising spot on the email. They believe the original emails are acceptable but additions to them are spam.

Still others are someone in between on the debate regarding whether or not advertising in email marketing is acceptable. In most cases these individuals believe it is acceptable for there to be advertising as long as it does not overshadow the original intent of the email. This middle of the road concept implies the Internet marketers are not firmly for or against the concept of placing advertisements on emails distributed fro marketing purposes.

The information in this article is rather vague by intention because it leaves more of an opportunity for the reader to form his own opinion. This is important because the subject is largely a matter of personal preference. Each reader must decide for himself whether or not he agrees with one side or the other or chooses to take a middle of the road stance. The opinions of readers of this article may be influenced by whether or not they are considered to be marketers or consumers. This is significant because it can impact the preferences. For example consumers may be less likely to appreciate advertisements in emails intended for marketing purposes because they feel it distracts from the original products. However, marketers may be more apt to be accepting of advertising because they can understand the financial gain which is possible. When evaluating opinions about the use of advertising, it is important to note whether or not the individual offering the opinion is involved in advertising. It might be more worthwhile to seek out opinions from consumers only as they are more likely to share the beliefs of your potential customers.

Hesitation is an emotion which overcomes any individual performing a task which he/she is not well experienced with. This feeling goes only with some acquaintance with the work and for some people who fail to gain confidence it continues for long periods. To ignore the fact that psychological barriers drive ones trading abilities, will highly decrease the chances of being a regular profitable trader. Any trader needs to first understand then conquer his hesitation, fear, greed and other anxieties doing rounds in the financial circles.

Many online stock trading websites offer try out options and "paper trade" on the demo accounts so that the new entrants can practice and gain experience in a stimulated environment. This might be helpful in learning the technical skills of trade but it is impossible to create an environment which will provide with psychological experiences as that can only be felt when your own money is at stake. The stock market trading is highly dependant on the fast paced ups and downs of market and hence you cannot take your sweet time to take money decisions. Hence it is indispensable to overcome hesitation as your emotions can take a toll on your decision making power.

An action plan for every situation

The traders need to have an action plan in place for various situations they could face while day to day trading. And the most important thing they should do is stick to their well framed rules and not takes impulsive decisions when the situation actually confronts them. In online trading there is hardly ever any time to make second plans and execute them. Online traders need to overcome the feeling of hesitation before they click on the mouse button.

If one feels that anxiety emotions like fear and anger are taking over it is best to step aside from the dealing platform. The trader needs to clear on his/her risk taking capacity and make risk management plans accordingly. Anticipation can go wrong many a times and losing confidence in self becomes an after effect to this. Hesitant people avoid confronting any situation that makes them uncomfortable. This attitude can never bring out the best in a stock market trader rather it could lead to consequent failures. The best way is to initially watch every move of the market and how experienced traders handle profits and losses on a day to day basis. How traders average out the profits and losses over a month and build their risk taking abilities would also be an interesting learning for many new entrants. Sometimes when the market is dull and traders experience boredom they should use it as a time to research the market sensitivity and not put hands in to unnecessary deals. Evidently there is no fixed rule for trading in the financial markets. Having a well laid trading action plan, which includes correct risk management techniques and can highly improve one's trading performance, is the only way to make your way through. Discipline is of course the trick of the game.

People diagnosed by medical professionals as "suffering" from conditions such as dementia, mentally illness, mentally retardation, autism, and other cognitive impairments, may on the surface, seem unable to comprehend communication from the outside world. This idea is especially disturbing for loved ones to accept. I feel this is a false assumption. When one is speaking to a person with any kind of mental or cognitive impairment, their soul will receive and correctly interpret the information that you are communicating to them. This process is facilitated, and messages are received through the subconscious mind.

The person who first inspired me to write many years ago, asked me to assist him with a project that had little meaning to me at the time. This person lives with a difficult mental impairment. I have known this person for more than eight years. He possesses a gentle soul with generous nature. My wish for him is to not only function in society, but to experience life in a meaningful way. I know the limitations of his illness have been extremely frustrating to him.

The project I assisted him with (many years ago) focused on Biblical teachings. He asked me to explore his ideas and turned them into something practical. I took the ideas contained in his notes and wrote over a hundred full pages of Christian spiritual lessons involving kindness, personal relationships, leadership, visions and other topics. The lessons I came up with have been covered by hundreds of other Christian authors.

I managed to turn his project into something different from what he originally intended it to be. I revised his ideas and turned them into practical lessons for living. My metaphysical writings evolved out of this early work.

Although my friend is not fully conscious in his understanding of the things I tell him, I informed him that his ideas have, in fact, entered the world and will hopefully make a difference in the lives of others. I told him that although he may never be acknowledged for his effort, I reassured him that his message will continue on through my writings and work. I know that his subconscious mind understood my words. I believe he has found a sense of satisfaction in knowing he has contributed something worthwhile for the betterment of society. In the meantime, he continues to perfect his original idea for the project. When one chapter is completed, we go on to the next. Our Greater-Self (Higher Power) is a creative Being involved in a never-ending process of understanding its own nature through its creations.
