I recently read a profound definition of gratitude that really resonated with something deep within me: "Gratitude is an unconditional love for life." Doesn't that just ring with truth? Think about someone who you love unconditionally—a parent, a spouse, a child, or a friend. When you call up an image of this person in your mind's eye, you feel an instant warmth (the warmth of love) and you know that there is nothing that person could do that could ever change your love for them. When we take on a mindset of gratitude, we are professing our unconditional love of life. We are committing ourselves to a vision of life that accentuates the positive, much the same way that we choose to look for the good in people whom we love. We look past the flaws and choose instead to dwell on what brings us joy.
 
■ People you rely on.
 
Who are the people who make up your inner circle? I'm not talking about just your friends and family but all of the people who you see on a daily basis, the people who you can count on for something day in and day out. Maybe it's something you've started to take for granted– a hug from your child or a kiss goodbye from your spouse. Perhaps it's something as seemingly inconsequential as a smile from a coworker. Close your eyes and think about waking up one morning and realizing that all of those things are gone.
 
■ People who rely on you.
 
If you're like most of us, your life is crazy busy. You've got so many things to do and so many people who are counting on you to do them. But what if they weren't? Isn't it far better to be needed?
 
■ The freedom to choose.
 
Sometimes, we feel stuck in situations and think we're powerless to change them. But that's just an illusion. The reality is that we do have a choice. If we don't like where we live, we can move. If we don't like our jobs, we can quit. It may take a lot of work and a lot of time, but it is possible. And when all else fails, we have the freedom to change our minds about the situation.

Every one of us is unique, and every one of us has something powerful to offer the world. As social creatures, we have the amazing ability to interact with and learn from one another. There are so many ways that we can take in the world, and each of them are equally amazing. Recall the last sunset you witnessed. The smell of apple pie.The sound of a lone bird chirping outside your window. The gentle touch of someone you love.

Liposuction (or lipo) for men has become increasingly popular as men seek ways to address love handles and other fat bulges on the waistline that are resistant to diet and exercise. Love handles are rolls of fat that can form on the flanks, abdomen, and lower back, and while liposuction may be a viable fat removal solution for some men, others may require an abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck, to achieve optimal results around the midsection.
 
Male Candidates for Liposuction
 
Liposuction to treat love handles involves the removal of subcutaneous pockets of fat from the abdomen, flanks, and waist that remain despite a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen. The best candidates for liposuction typically have sufficient skin elasticity and are within 10 percent of their goal body weight. Being within a specific weight range prior to undergoing liposuction is important, as lipo is not a substitute for weight loss.
 
There are several different types of liposuction, but in general, the procedure involves the use of a cannula, or hollow tube, that is inserted into a small incision made in the treatment area. As a surgeon moves the cannula rapidly back and forth, fat cells are broken up and suctioned out of the body.
 
Male Candidates for Abdominoplasty
 
While liposuction can effectively remove fat from the midsection and reduce the appearance of love handles, it cannot remove loose, excess skin. Significant weight fluctuations often contribute to skin laxity, particularly as the production of collagen – which, along with elastin, helps to keep the skin supple and resilient – is outpaced by weight loss or gain. Collagen production slows over time, so loss of skin elasticity can also occur due to aging. As a result, abdominoplasty may be an appropriate alternative to liposuction when treating love handles, and the midsection in general, for some men who are at a healthy weight but have excess skin due to weight loss and/or aging. Furthermore, men with diastais recti, a condition in which the left and right halves of the abdominal muscle have stretched and separated, can benefit from tummy tuck procedures.
 
There are several different types of abdominoplasty, but in general, the procedure requires that a surgeon make a large incision below the abdomen between the hips, through which muscles are tightened and sutured to produce a flat, taut stomach. An additional incision may be made around the naval if repositioning of the belly button is necessary. Abdominal skin is then pulled taut, repositioned over the muscles, and sutured, and the excess skin is removed.
 
A full tummy tuck addresses the both upper and lower abdominal region, while a mini or partial tummy tuck only addresses the lower region. A partial tummy tuck may be a better option for men with minimal excess skin and fat. A panniculectomy, or the removal of excess skin without dissecting and repositioning the underlying muscles, may be suggested for certain patients.
 
Depending on a tummy tuck patient's specific needs, liposuction could also be performed with a tummy tuck to spot treat certain pockets of fat and help provide the most proportionate results.
 
Consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
 
Men who are considering liposuction and/or an abdominoplasty to address love handles and bulges of fat in other areas of the midsection should first consult with a highly skilled plastic surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has significant experience in performing these procedures on men. Surgeons with these qualifications can accurately assess a patient's unique body type and treatment needs, and suggest the surgical approach that will help produce optimal results.

Breast implants are used to surgically address breast size and volume on women with underdeveloped or naturally small breasts; on women who have experienced breast changes following weight loss, weight gain, pregnancy, or aging; and on women who elect to undergo breast reconstruction following mastectomy. Breast augmentations were performed as early as the late 1800s and early 1900s, but the first silicone implants weren't invented until 1961. In collaboration with Dow Corning Corporation, two American plastic surgeons, Frank Gerow and Thomas Cronin, developed the silicone implant, which was a tear-drop shaped implant with a rubber shell and a viscous silicone gel filler. Gerow and Cronin performed the first breast augmentation using silicone breast implants in 1962.
 
While the invention of silicone implants was revolutionary, the first models were far from perfect. Numerous advances have been made since the introduction of the first silicone implant, and as a result, the breast implants used in modern day augmentation procedures are more durable and longer lasting than their predecessors. They also offer patients far more choices in terms of shape, size, and degree of projection from the chest wall. To better understand these improvements, it's helpful to first review the history of early silicone implants.
 
A Brief History of Early Silicone Implants
 
Manufacturers began mass producing implants the early 1970s and, over time, began producing implants with thinner shells and thinner silicone fillers than earlier models, which were more likely to rupture or deflate following placement or cause other complications. In the 1980s, implants with textured surfaces were introduced. It was presumed that textured implants could help alter the scar tissue formation process and prevent capsular contracture, a complication that involves the scar tissue hardening and contracting around an implant, often causing breast firmness and pain. Studies gauging the efficacy of textured implants in reducing capsular contracture have since turned up mixed results, and though rare, capsular contracture remains a common possible complication of breast augmentation.
 
Amid reports from women saying their breast implants had deflated, leaked, and/or caused capsular contracture and other complications, the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) began closely scrutinizing breast implant manufacturers in 1988. Over the next decade, the FDA requested that manufacturers submit detailed studies regarding the safety of silicone implants. In 1992, the FDA determined that there was insufficient evidence to deem implants either safe or harmful and ordered a moratorium on silicone breast implants for general use. Silicone implants could still be used in certain cases, including in women who had undergone mastectomy and opted for breast reconstruction.
 
Modern Silicone Implants
 
Following decades of intensive research and rigorous testing, the FDA conditionally approved the production and use of silicone implants for breast augmentation procedures. The approval required that the two manufacturers at the time – Mentor and Allergan – continually conduct studies and submit safety and effectiveness data regarding their silicone implants.
 
Modern implants feature multilayer shells and a cohesive silicone gel filler. The implant shells are able to maintain their structural integrity and are therefore less likely to fold, wrinkle, or rupture. As a result, these implants are more durable and longer lasting than previous implant versions.
 
Early implants used liquid-like silicone gel fillers, which could easily leak out of a ruptured implant shell and into the body. The cohesive gel compound used in today's implants, however, has improved drastically over early implant fillers, largely due to its unique interlinking molecular structure. This interlinking structure creates a thicker, more form-stable filler with a consistency similar to that of a gummy bear. As a result, implants with the cohesive filler are known as "gummy bear implants" and will maintain their shape – even when cut in half for demonstration purposes – and won't leak out into the body in the event of implant rupture. Some manufacturers offer slightly varying levels of gel cohesiveness, so surgeons can offer their patients some variety in this regard.
 
Finally, the availability of many different shapes, sizes, and profiles gives surgeons the ability to recommend certain implants to women of all body types because these implants assume the shape of existing breast tissue to create a more natural looking result.

I get lots of inquires about the cheapest price when it comes to taking a Grand Canyon airplane tour. The simple answer is the aerial flight. But as the conversation continues, it gets a bit more complicated than that.
 
There are two places from which you can take an air-only flight: Las Vegas, NV, and Tusayan, AZ, which is also referred to as the gateway to the South Rim. There are also flights from Phoenix, AZ, but those typically land and cost more.
 
The Las Vegas flight takes off daily from airports throughout the Las Vegas metro area, including Henderson's Executive Air Terminal and Boulder City's Municipal Airport. The flight path is similar for all, going over Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon West and the Skywalk.
 
The South Rim air-only plane ride also departs daily. It takes off in a northerly direction before banking right and flying east along the South Rim to the National Park's eastern border. From there, it will turn north, bank left and follow the North Rim back before cutting through the famous Dragoon corridor.
 
Travelers frequently ask if there are airplane rides that connect the West Rim to the South Rim and vice versa. Sadly, not yet. However, if you are in Las Vegas, there is a direct flight to the South Rim. It takes 60 minutes and comes with a 2.5-hour ground tour (it can be upgraded to include a 30-minute rim-to-rim helicopter ride).
 
The other popular inquiry I get is if South Rim airplane tours can fly below the rim. At the moment it's not allowed. This is a rule strictly enforced by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Parks Service. It's in place in order cut down on noise pollution over the canyon.
 
On the other hand, landing tours are allowed at the West Rim. They take off from Vegas and land on top of the rim at Grand Canyon West Airport. The most basic trip lets you deplane and explore topside, taking in such sights like Eagle Point, Guano Point, the Indian Cultural Center and Grand Canyon Skywalk.
 
However, if you do go for a landing tour, I suggest considering the trips that bundle a helicopter ride to the bottom with a boat tour down the Colorado River. These unique adventures can only be done at the West Rim because it's the sole place in the entire National Park where helicopters can land at the base!
 
It would be remiss of me not to tell you that airplane tours sell out with great frequency. This is why I recommend that all readers consider booking these flights no less than one week ahead of time (during summer it's wise to purchase them at least two weeks prior to departure). Not only does taking action now pretty much assure you of getting a seat, but it also means you get to select from the best times and prices!
 
Which brings me to deals. Do yourself a favor and purchase your airplane tour online. Not only is it safe and convenient, but also it's also where you'll find the best prices. Lately, I've been able to save clients up to 30 percent off retail simply by booking their trip on the Web. I urge you to do the same as the savings really add up if you group is larger than two people.

In my last article, I was talking about how you don't have to put up with any bad behavior from the media people. I also stressed that bad behavior among the media people is very rare in my experience.
 
I LOVE all media people, but, like in any other group of people, there are a few jerks. Last time I also mentioned that I did come across one person I thought was a real jerk. But instead of confronting this person and insisting on being treated better, I gave in.
 
Here's the story. Many years ago, when I was first getting really rolling with publicity, I got a call from the Phil Donahue Show. If you're not familiar with the name, in the 1980′s he was the Oprah of the time.
 
After a few minutes discussion, I was invited to be on the show to talk about dating and relationships, because I had written two books on the topic – "How to Find the Love of Your Life in 90 Days or Less" and "How to Be Outrageously Successful With the Opposite Sex".
 
When I got to the studio I was treated like a second class citizen. I was told that if I even mentioned my book I'd be taken off the show during the next commercial. I was told not to talk to Phil before or after the show. And the list of "Don'ts" went on.
 
The person telling me all of this was a self-important jerk. A low-level clerk who was flexing an imaginary bit of power. So I was going to be on this show, I was going to make the host look good, I was going to provide the audience with great information, I was going to be entertaining… and I would get nothing in return. Or would I?
 
Even though I was starting to steam as the jerk continued with the list of things I was forbidden to do, the calmer, more rational side of me understood that I was about to be on the biggest talk show on TV.
 
And by being on the biggest show on TV my credibility would soar! For the rest of my life I'd be able to say I was on the Phil Donahue Show. Talk about a solid gold media credential. So I held my tongue, did the interview and walked out of that studio a different person. Ever since that interview, over 30 years ago, I've had the doors of media around the world opened to me because I was on the Phil Donahue Show.
 
The moral of the story – don't put up with any inappropriate nonsense from any media people, but also know when to pick your fights. You may win the battle, but you could lose the war.
 
If Donahue himself had been abusive to me, I certainly would not have rolled over. But a non-important lackey? No problem.
 
I want to repeat again – problems dealing with the media people are, in my experience, very rare. I've found them to be wonderful, kind people out to do their job. And if you do your job – which is providing great information on your area of expertise without constantly plugging your product, they will do their job – which is to shine a bright light on you and your business. What a sweet relationship! I've been savouring it for almost 30 years. I hope you're getting the benefits as well.

In one of my articles I told you about the restaurant owner who came up the brilliant idea of naming the tables in his establishment after various celebrities then letting the celebrities – and the media – know about the "honor". His payoff for that brilliant idea was huge.
 
Shortly after that, I asked my subscribers to guess what the restaurant owner did next and to come up with other ideas this restaurant owner could use to get even more publicity from this one idea. I presented it to them as a contest and awarded prizes to the winners. I probably had more response to that contest than I've ever had before.
 
Jan Stern was the first to come up with the right answer. The owner next invited each of the people honored with a table to have a complimentary dinner with a guest. So the restaurant owner not only got great publicity each time he named a table, he doubled his publicity by inviting the celebrity and letting the press know about it.
 
Although Jan had the right answer, lots of my subscribers had great suggestions. Quite a few suggested he start naming the chairs. You also suggested he name each entree and appetizer. Several suggested he hold a contest to see who the public would like tables named after.
 
Here are other suggestions they had:
 
* name tables after national celebrities in addition to locals
 
* have a party and invite all the people who have tables named after them. Hold the party in the restaurant and invite the media.
 
* name each table after several celebrities
 
* hold a dedication ceremony for each table, inviting the person honored
 
* when the celebrity ate at his table, have a photograph taken, have it autographed and placed it under glass at the table
 
* combine a charity event with the celebrities honored with a table
 
* have a contest to see which table was the most popular
 
* keep a tally of how many patrons sat at each table. Periodically release the totals, which would encourage the people honored with the tables to publicize "their" table hoping to make it the most popular
 
* invite each celebrity to autograph his table
 
* name tables after large media businesses like the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, etc.
 
* name a table after the President and First Lady
 
* allow each person honored with a table to name the next table after someone notable
 
And Paul Patzloff had probably one of the best "bonus" ideas to tie in with this whole thing. Paul suggested naming the toilet stalls after some less popular people in the New York area. Wow, would that start another media blitz!
 
What a great list of ideas – and what great imaginations they all have. Excellent work! As I've said over and over again in my posts, if you're not getting your share of the publicity, when are you going to start? Here's a guy simply naming tables and getting a landslide of publicity. You can get a similar landslide of publicity for whatever product or service you have to offer. The media is very willing to make you as famous and wealthy as you'd like if you're willing to give them what they want – a good story.

Recently I told you about the incredible success Dr. Brad LaGarce had when he followed my system for writing and sending out a press release. I mentioned that his story was picked up by a syndicate service and sent to 800 media outlets around the world.
 
CH Landon emailed me a great question about that success. He wants to know how a local chiropractor can benefit from his story going to 800 media contacts worldwide. Not only is it a superb question, this principle is at the heart of my publicity system.
 
Let's use Dr. LaGarce as the example in this discussion. I don't know how many other chiropractors are in his target area, but I'll bet it's quite a few. So, each chiro is competing for new patients, all coming from the same area.
 
My bet is that not one of those chiros, except for Dr. LaGarce, knows how to use publicity. So, how do they attract new patients? They all probably use the same limited marketing arsenal – spinal exams in the mall, free seminars about your health and your spine, paid ads in the local newspapers, yellow pages ads, etc.
 
Did you notice that all of these are not only time consuming but expensive? So, here we have dozens of chiropractors using the same marketing techniques to attract patients. Basically they are all screaming "Pick me, pick me" as they wildly wave their hands in the air, hoping new patients will come to them.
 
Now let's look at Dr. LaGarce. He knows how to use publicity to stand above the crowd. So, he first gets several stories about himself and his practice in the local newspaper and on the local radio and TV stations. This establishes credibility.
 
Then, he hits the jackpot. His story is picked up around the world. He gets interviews on radio and TV stations and in newspapers and magazines in every corner of this planet. What does he do with this publicity goldmine?
 
First, he sends more press releases to his local media, talking about how this local chiropractor is being sought after and interviewed by media around the world. Don't you think his local media would be darned impressed? And how about the people in his community who are hearing and reading about "their" local chiropractor being an international celebrity?
 
Then, he takes the newspaper articles from around the world, frames them and puts them up in his waiting room. While people are waiting to see him, they don't look at a bunch of meaningless certificates and diplomas. They read about him in newspapers from around the globe. Impressive!
 
He takes recordings of the radio interviews and has them play over the phone when callers are put on hold. He doesn't use that wasteful, silly "hold music" that so many people use.
 
Finally, he puts several of his TV interviews from around the world on a DVD. He gives copies of the DVD to prospective patients and says "Here's some information about chiropractic and your health I thought you'd be interested in." He also has a DVD player and a TV in a corner of his office. As patients are waiting to see him, the video showing him on worldwide TV is playing. Darn impressive! Dr. LaGarce is no longer just another one of the local chiropractors competing for patients – he's an international celebrity.
 
Get out of the rut of thinking that you should only seek local publicity. When you are interviewed around the country or around the world, you're no longer an insurance salesman, a chiropractor or a plumber – you're a celebrity. And that celebrity status makes selling and succeeding a whole lot easier.

Travelers ask me all the time, "What's the best deal you can offer me on a Grand Canyon helicopter tour?" To which I respond, "An aerial tour." But that only scratches the surface, so here's more of what you need to know when getting the best price possible.
 
To be specific, aerial tours are trips that don't land. By contrast, landing tours do by stopping at the top of the rim or the bottom. Further, landing tours are only available at the West Rim, which is only accessible from Las Vegas, NV.
 
There are two places from which helicopter tours depart: Las Vegas and Tusayan, AZ, which is also synonymous with the South Rim. As noted, Vegas flights go exclusively to the West Rim while Tusayan trips do the South Rim.
 
Las Vegas aerial tours depart from a number of major metro airports including Boulder City's municipal airport and Henderson's executive airstrip (South of Las Vegas). As for the flight, you'll go over Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon West and the Skywalk before heading back.
 
South Rim air-only flights are either 30 minutes or 50 minutes in length. The first one goes from the South Rim to the North Rim and back. The longer one does that, too, but it also includes everything up to the Park's far eastern boundary.
 
Vegas aerial tours include hotel pick up and drop off; South Rim flights require you to drive yourself to the airport. Prices for both are usually fixed and include all taxes, fees and surcharges. Because these trips are straightforward and don't include and side-trips, they usually come with the cheapest rates.
 
In many cases, an air-only tour will suffice. However, if you are in Las Vegas and you want more, I suggest you consider booking a landing tour. The most popular one comes with a Champagne picnic. It usually sells out so make sure to purchase it well in advance. Two others I like come with a boat ride and/or Skywalk tickets. Do either of these and you're really in for an adventure.

When one thinks of cigarettes, what is the common thought amongst all? Health risk is probably the general answer. It is also very difficult to think otherwise. Some do not notice that the cigarette butt is not made of paper but rather, of plastic: the same kind of plastic that clog the city pipes and cause flood, the same plastic that does not degrade even after 50 years.
 
Even worse, these discarded materials still contain some dangerous substances. When thrown into our water ways and around the city may cause health problems to people who come in contact with them and even to the ecosystem.
 
Imagine around a billion cigarette butts being discarded in regular intervals daily, causing massive accumulation of trash. Responsible people would probably throw these butts in the trash can. However, some would still throw them at the curb. Managing these little cigarette butts have been a task for some individuals concerned about the world's increasing trash deposits. And then there are those who put it to good use.
 
Cigarette art is a growing field these days. There is not a lot of market for such because of the stigma placed on cigarettes by humanity. But browsing through the internet, one could be various expressions of different artistic mediums.
 
There are the common sketches and charcoal drawings, there are paintings on canvass. There are even those who exhibit art on the cigarette itself. Cigarettes have become artistic media. These are currently being sold through artwork sites in the internet. No mention has yet been made of these on online cigarette stores, however.
 
Moreover, there is a group of artist going out of their way to address the garbage problem posed by cigarette butts by using these as their medium of art. They call this method "upcycling"-using the trash as an expression of art.
 
Materials such as "The Filter Rabbit" and the "Shell" are only some of the works done by a Tom Deininger using cigarette trash.
 
It is amazing how the cigarettes have now explored other genre exposures such as art. Such artworks are already featured online and it won't be long before such pieces are to be sold on cigarette stores.

Cigarette smokinghas become a popular fad. Every other person is doing it, or has at least tried it. The numerous cigarette shops lining the streets and online cigarette stores are just proof of how trendy smoking has become.
 
Knowing the dangers that cigarette smoking can bring, it is quite easy to find faults in those who smoke. "He doesn't know what he is doing, that thing could kill him!" or "She doesn't care about anybody inhaling her second hand smoke!" or "He's just wasting his money buying his Newport cigarettes online."
 
There is a big controversy though, if the one buying cheap cigarettes online is the husband. Admit it, for a split second a wife will stop and think whether or not to make an issue out of every stick smoked.
 
However, the smell of cigarette in the house alone can send a woman ballistic and cause endless arguments. More so when he starts coughing, he'll think he'll never hear the end of it. And even more when the ashes of your cigarette lay on the ashtray, which lays itself on the table, which won't throw itself out.
 
She could say "Stop smoking!" or "At least limit it to a few sticks per day". She might even employ ways to lessen his smoking, such as engaging him in cooking lessons or sometimes, literally hiding his stash or blocking his car in so he can't go to the cigarette store. Either way, people do this in the belief that it is for their love's benefit, that they don't want their loved one to get sick and just to be able to spend more time with them in the future.
 
Now, ladies, before going on and on and on, stop and think! Think about love and what it really means. Without the cigarette smoking and the money wasted, remember that love is accepting and giving unconditionally. By definition, it is a truly selfless act by which your loved one's happiness becomes your happiness. Stop and think if a piece of dried plant wrapped in paper is enough reason to cause your love anxiety, stress and potential damage to you relationship.
 
Instead of yapping purposelessly every time he reaches for a lighter, try talking calmly. Tell him your concerns and your fears. If you want the best for him, then make him realize the dangers that cigarettes has to his health. When he makes a decision, though, whatever it may be, respect it. You may not be happy with it, so propose some compromises. It will be difficult, but it is more difficult to fight a battle you know you cannot win.
 
Instead of being the enemy in his life, try to be a supportive friend. Instead of hiding his box of smokes, buy him one from his favourite online cigarette store and get a lighter with that. Instead of stressing yourself thinking about how much more time you have together, think that at least, for the time you were together, your partner was happy.
 
Loving a cigarette lover when you are not is a difficult task--but one that can be arranged. It just takes a little bit of remembrance of the love and respect you have for each other.

Johannesburg- Comair has taken delivery of the first of four Boeing 737-400 airliners.
 
The aircraft will be replacing the Boeing 737-300s currently in service with the airline .Reports also indicate the carrier is looking a adding the Boeing 737-800 to the British Airways fleet to ensure fleet commonality with budget affiliate Kulula.com
 
New Fast Jet Stake
 
London-Fast Jet has announced that owner and licensor of the Fast Jet brand, Easy Group Holdings Ltd, the private investment vehicle of Sir Stelios Haji-loannou, has elected to take newly issued fast jet shares in lieu of all royalty and consultancy payments due to Easy Group up to December 31, 2013.
 
These payments relate to the Brand License agreement announced on May 9, 2012 .Following this transaction, 110334 156 newly issued fast jet shares at 1p will be issued to Easy Group thereby increasing Easy Groups holding in fast jet from under 3% to 5,81%.
 
MDS Acquired
 
Johannesburg- Africa Charter Airlines has introduced the first of two MD-83s to its fleet of aircraft.
 
Libya Revival
 
Tripoli-Libya carriers Air Libya and Afriqiyah Airways continue to normalize their operations following a brutal civil war.
 
Air Libya has taken delivery of a brand new Airbus A330-200 while Afriqiyah has returned another of its stored Airbus A32Os to services following extensive maintenance.
 
Niger Carrier
 
Niamey- Air Niamey is a new Niger-based carrier that will operate regional passenger flights with an Airbus A320.
 
Comoros Revival
 
Moroni-A new Zealand-based energy consortium, GaAfo Energy, is reportedly in the process of setting up a regional carrier.Gafa Air, to operate scheduled services from the Co mores Capital to regional destinations including Johannesburg, Khartoum, Nairobi and Dar es Salaam.
 
The carrier will initially operate a single Boeing 737-300.
 
Meanwhile, Air Austral is also said to be in the process of setting up its own Co mores-based operation, called Ewa, in partnership with local investors.
 
Provisional plans call for regional passenger services to begin in November.
 
Third Airbus
 
Abidjan-Air Cote d'Ivoire is adding a third Airbus A319 to its fleet.
 
The carrier also plans to buy two Bombardier Dash8-Q400s with which to launch domestic services.
 
MD Freighters
 
Nairobi-Astral Aviation has ordered three MD-83SF cargo aircraft for delivery as from the last quarter of this year after completion of their freighter conversion. The company already operates a pair of DC-9-34 CF freighters.
 
ATR Equipment
 
Lome-West Africa Air will replace its ageing DC-9 and An-12 freighters with two ATR 72-200 freighters.
 
LAM Renewal
 
Maputo-Lin has Aereas de Mocambique (LAM) according to industry sources will acquire a fourth Embraer E190 regional jet as well as three Airbus A319s or Boeing 737-700s within two years.
 
Whisper Jet
 
Johannesburg- Fair Aviation has taken delivery of a BAe146-200QT combi aircraft.
 
Syphax
 
Tunis- Syphax Airlines has become the launch customer for Airbus A320neo narrow body airliner after signing an order for three of the aircraft.
 
The order is in addition to three A320ceo aircraft already on order.
 
The carrier, meanwhile, has taken delivery of its first Airbus A330-200 wide-body airliner and has also leased an Airbus A320 from Croatia Airlines for domestic and regional passenger flights.
 
Boeing Replacement
 
Kigali- RwandAir Express has replaced its pair of Boeing 737-500s with two modern Boeing 737-700s as part of a continued fleet renewal programme.
 
RAM E-Jet
 
Casablanca- Royal Air Maroc is wet leasing two embraer E190s from Dutch, carrier, Denim Air.
 
The aircraft are painted in full RAM livery.
 
Namibian A330
 
Windhoek- Air Namibia is expected to take delivery of the first of two Airbus A330-200 twin jets, replacing the A340-300s currently in service with the carrier.
 
This is part of its cost saving and fleet renewal programme.
 
The carrier has also added a seventh flight on the Windhoek-Luanda route to offer daily services to the Angolan capital.
 
Algerian Lease
 
Algiers-Air Algerie is leasing a single Boeing 737-800 from Algerian carrier Tassilli Airlines.
 
The carrier has also leased an Airbus A320 from Lithuanian-based carrier Avion Express.
 
Return to Service
 
Cairo- Air Memphis has returned its single MD-83 to service having had it repainted in a new corporate livery.
 
Afghan Leasem
 
Banjul- Gambian based Aeolus Air is operating services on behalf of Ariana Afghan Airlines with its Airbus A320.
 
First Airbus
 
Tripoli- Ghadames Air has acquired an Airbus A320.
 
This is the first aircraft the carrier has owned to date having previously leased in equipment.
 
Second Airbus
 
Harare- Air Zimbabwe's second Airbus A320 arrived at Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport recently to undergo maintenance with SAA Technical prior to its entry into service.
 
Authorized Service Facility
 
Addis Ababa-Ethiopian Airlines has been appointed as an Authorized Service Facility for Bombardier commercial aircraft by the Canadian aircraft manufacturer.
 
The airline is authorized to perform line and heavy maintenance on Dash 8-Q400 and –Q400 Next Gen turbo-prop aircraft.
 
The carrier has also announced that it has become a strategic partner along with the Malawi Government to establish a new national carrier.
 
Arik Growth
 
Lagos- Nigerian carrier Arik Air has taken delivery of the first of four new Airbus A330-200s wide-body airliners.
 
This brings to 24 the number of jets in its fleet.

A380 to Mauritius
 
Port Victoria- Emirates has announced that, effective December 16; it will introduce Airbus A380 equipment on its daily service from Dubai to Mauritius.

Dubai-The government of Niger and the United Arab Emirates ,under the auspices of the General Civil Aviation Authority ,have signed an Open Skies agreement which will allow the operation scheduled air services between the two countries.

From time to time women in their 30s and 40s tell me they are terrified about growing older. It seems that since our teenaged years, we have all been heaped with tales about the horrors of aging…especially about menopause. It's as if we are all headed toward an inescapable black hole.
 
Well, I am here to tell you, it just ain't so. Sure menopause can be uncomfortable at times. But compared to feeling totally miserable for several days a month, and wanting to wage war the week before, "the change" we all go through can be a real change for the better.
 
In spite of the hype, menopause is not a disease, and aging doesn't have to be awful. If you look around you, who are apt to be the happiest people you see? Little kids and feisty old ladies. If we let it, aging can help us rediscover some of the fun in life that we've lost in all our cares and ambitions.
 
So, here are three little secrets about menopause and aging that I am willing to bet no one every told you. Some may be kind of silly, but it just shows how strong the bad rumors can be about what can be a vibrant time of life.
 
1. You will never have to shave your legs again. Yes, this is one of the silly things. But it's still kind of cool. One more worry gone, one more thing to strike off you to do list. And if you walk or work out, you are never too old to have great legs.
 
2. The need for status begins to lose some of its power. As with other times of life, it is hard sometimes not to feel like you should have accomplished more, or been more successful in life. But as you continue getting older, your views on success and failure can change. You might begin to value your experiences more than your resume, or revel in a healthy and loving family over more fleeting achievements.
 
3. You discover that people like you for who you are. At some point as we get older, we finally realize that we are not our occupation. We may still be committed to our work, but we begin to see more of a life beyond it. And we discover that people may not have had nearly as many expectations of us as we thought they did. We may find instead that they liked us all along, just for who we are.
 
If you do experience unpleasant symptoms when you reach menopause, by all means, discuss them with your doctor. But until then, there is certainly no need to worry that some horrible future awaits you. Menopause could surprise you and be one of the most productive times of your life.

Today I wanted to share a few tips for Networking. Why Networking? Because it's no secret that people who are well connected are the ones who are the most successful when it comes to running or building a business online or offline.
 
I'm not going to explain why this is the case in this post today but instead wanted to just initially offer some tips for Networking that will really help you build a large and very useful network. Detailed below is a list of tips for Networking that are simple to carry out and if put into action will grow you a network that will serve you well in business and in life.
 
#1. Attend Events
 
Attending local, regional and national events and seminars is one of the best ways to meet and interact with people in your niche. You may consider attending a local event that you find on Meetup.com . There are many many local groups that hold weekly and monthly meetings you can tap into. Also look for larger events in your area or taking place nationally. "You Just Never Know" is one of my favorite sayings and when it comes to attending large events...ya just just never know who you are going to meet or what connections you will make that could have a huge impact on you and your home business in the future.
 
#2. Network On Facebook
 
Second to attending events is networking on Facebook. This social media platform has really opened up the whole world to everybody. Make sure you have positive and quality interactions with people you meet and connect with. Remember Facebook is not a place to openly promote and push your business on others. I prefer to use it for genuine networking and then make more effective invitations at the right time if it makes sense.
 
#3. Keep track of everyone you ever meet
 
One of my mentors taught me some time ago that you should make a note of everyone you ever come into contact with. Record their names and important information like , their email, address, birthdays and make a note of the circumstrances of how you met them. Then any time you have some form of contact with them you log it. You will be shocked when you do this as to how fast your network will grow in size because you are actually keeping track of them. The list of your network will be your MOST valuable asset in your business moving forward. You don't have to be amazingly organized... you just have to keep some sort of track of your interactions.
 
#4. Have regular contact with your network
 
Make sure that at least 3 to 4 times a year you have some kind of contact with your network. Birthday cards, Hand written notes and gifts, Phone calls just to see how they are doing, emails and facebook messages just to say "Hi". This is a super important step as you want to make sure you nourish your network.
 
#5. Connect your network together
 
One of my mentors made this suggestion to me and it really works very well. A couple of times a week a week I will always try to introduce people in my network to each other. I try to find people in the same niche or area of business and just make an email or Skype introduction. It only takes a few minutes each week and it shows that you really care about the people you interact with. It also has a very positive benefit for you... many people you do this with will return the favor and also introduce you to their network!
 
If you want to start or grow any type of business - online or offline - networking is really a practice that you want to work regularly at. In fact it may your MOST important activity for long-term business success. You just never know when things will change in your life. By using these tips for Networking you can build a large and supportive network. In doing so you will always have someone to help you out of the hard times that you may encounter or inspire you to greatness in your business venture.
