How do affiliate programs operate exactly? That's a great question and it really is crucial to understand the details before you decide to invest all the effort necessary to make a successful affiliate marketing business.

One of many most well-known affiliate programs is run by Amazon.com. To sign up you just need to give Amazon a number of facts about yourself, your website and some tax information. They need to report any earnings you make to the IRS. Once you are signed up as an affiliate you'll receive your own unique affiliate link.

Just before you ever sign up to grow to be an affiliate, it's an advantage to have a web site or a blog already established that targets a particular niche market place. You can then go and find the products and services that makes the most sense to promote on your blog or website. You also want to ensure you only market products and services of true worth.

If you promote affiliate products that you have knowledge of and you like, then your enthusiasm for that product is going to be reflected in the content you add to your website. A great idea is to record videos for sharing on YouTube. The video can be of you using the product or explaining how it works. This will help to build trust with your potential customers.

    Marketing Products

Most affiliate companies will provide affiliates with a number of banner styles, sizes, email swipes and your unique affiliate hyperlinks. If you are signed in to the company's affiliate back office you can choose from the list of banners and your affiliate info will probably be coded into the HTML.

So when a visitor clicks on the banner they will be taken to the company's website or landing page and if they purchase a product, the commission will automatically be credited to you. It's so easy you don't need to worry about anything. No invoicing, carrying stock, packing, shipping or customer service.

Right after you have added the banner and published it on your website, it is always a good idea to make sure the link is working correctly. Check that your affiliate link is being used and that you get credit for any sales. You don't want to lose any commission checks.

    Getting Paid

Each affiliate program is different. One important variable to consider is how and when you get paid. This typically can be weekly, monthly or quarterly. Some companies do not pay out until you have reached a certain level of earnings.

Now the second point to think about is just how much you're earning for making a sale. Several of the best affiliate programs pay upwards of 75% or more per sale.

This is great news! You keep the majority of the profit just for doing the marketing. Think about yourself referring hundreds of sales to businesses and fundamentally acting as their freelance marketing department keeping the majority of the income for yourself. Not a bad gig eh?

The commission rate paid is important to think about. For example if a company pays a 20% and another one pays a 25% commission for the same product - that may be the difference between earning $40 on a $200 sale or $50 for the same sale.

A lot of businesses with affiliate programs also offer their affiliates a dashboard where they can monitor how many clicks their ads are receiving and just how much money they have made. Some will also give you conversion rates as well as other helpful detailed information.

Despite the fact that you'll be able to forget about most affiliate ads once you're banners are placed on your site, it is very good practice to monitor how effectively each banner is performing.

There is such a large selection of products that you can promote. So if you're not happy with what you are generating from a particular ad then you can easily change that to another one. Keep monitoring and using different banners and products until you find one that converts and generates good commissions for you.

In summary you've learned the basics on how affiliate programs operate. Now go out and choose a niche and find a company with an affiliate program who's providing products that appeal to that niche. Sign up, and get working to create your successful affiliate marketing business!

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Do you have the right attitude for success? Your attitude is vital to your business and personal success. In fact, I would go as far to say that it's almost more important than learning the actual skills of success itself.

Obviously, you need to acquire the necessary knowledge and learn the nuts and bolts of your business – how to write an effective blog post, how to market and syndicate that blog post, how to build your email list, and develop a relationship with those subscribers on your list, etc.

But without the right attitude for success, the things I've just mentioned are like tools lying unused in the tool shed. The right attitude for success is what will help you put those tools into action and to work effectively towards achieving your goals.

So, what is the right kind of attitude should you be focused on acquiring?

Be Coachable – Having the assumption that you already know everything you need too will cause you to fail quicker than anything else. You need to keep an open mind and be coachable. Remember there have been others that have gone before you who have become wildly successful using the same system.

Acquaint yourself with your successful upline team members. Question them on how you can make your business work effectively. Learn as much as you can from them and follow their recommendations.

Understand Your Purpose – What are the exact reasons you started your home business? Maybe it was to make sure that your family was financially secure in the future, or to finally get out of debt. Maybe you wanted to get out of your job and have more time freedom. You have to really get clear on your reason and keep it in the forefront of your mind each day while you work your business.

Stay Positive – Like anything else, there will times when you are feeling on top of the world and times when you feel low. Staying positive and having the right attitude for success will help you achieve your goals, enable you to get through those rough times and help you enjoy the journey along the way.

You have to realise that there are lots of things in your business that you don't have complete control over. You can't fully control whether people decide to join your business and you can't control your company's compensation plan – but you can always change your mindset and acquire the right attitude for success. Having a positive mental attitude will also help you attract more positive minded people into your life and into your business.

With the right attitude for success, you will keep to the forefront of your mind how much sense the business made when you first started. You'll remember how excited you became at the thought of being able to quit your job and being financially free.

Make sure you have no room for discouragement in your business. Instead, you'll say to yourself, "I know why I joined this business, I know what I'm doing now, and I'm confident in where I'm going. No one will get me off track because I am too focused on my objective."

If you do these things regularly you will certainly acquire the right attitude for success and be on the correct path to achieving your goals and realising your ambitions.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

I recently became aware that aspects (past-life personalities) of my Greater-Self or Higher-Self have a long lineage in mysticism that goes all the way to Ancient Egyptian times. Arthur Waite the leader of the Golden Dawn was one of those lives.

Many people mistakenly believe that Higher Powers are the ultimate source of knowledge and goodness. The truth is a person's Higher Power is learning just we are. Higher Powers only know what they know in the moment. Their guidance for us is based on this limited knowledge. My past-life personalities pursued Illumination to assert power and control over the people in its environment. It was on a quest of power. I have spoken about this in other articles.

A few weeks ago I was confronted by higher beings who informed me of my Greater-Self's reckless behavior. I was informed that my Greater-Self had experienced very little growth in last three or four thousand years. My past-life personalities had withheld metaphysical knowledge for its own devices. I was told that my behavior and those that I had associated with had slowed the spiritual evolution of the human race. That situation has changed in the last two decades with the release of the universal laws.

This kind of judgment brings about a tremendous sense guilt. Past-life guilt, as well as that in the present must be dealt with before one can move forward with their current life. My situation was complicated by the fact that my past-life personalities had made contracts with a number entities who promised them power. Some of these beings would be considered dark spirits. These malevolent beings will not release you from your contract without a fight.

It should not surprise for anyone to know that dark spirits are common in the world. Thousands of people have come into with evil spirits. I do believe that they have no real power to offer. They are nothing more than deceptive spirits with an agenda.

I was already "awakened" as I saw it since I felt I had strong insight into the meaning of life and the nature of reality. I was sadly mistaken. I discovered that the path to Illumination is very different from the path of enlightenment. The path of enlightenment is the attainment of spiritual growth, a path that had been hidden from me because I was blinded by a desire for the higher truths. The path of Illumination looks for esoteric knowledge found in the higher worlds. Enlightenment is found when a person goes within for the answers.

When a person begins to explore his or her inner world for the first time, it can be mentally exhausting. There are emotional land mines stored within the deep recesses of our memory. These are issues that we hide from ourselves in order to avoid pain. In fact, we may never experience them, unless we are forced to.

Through this transformative process, I learned that I know remarkably little about the universe. My eyes were opened and my consciousness expanded. I realized there is much more going on in the universe than I ever could have imagined. It seems that humans are resolving conflicts and trauma not only in this life, but also in past lives. It also occurs in multiple lives and alternate realities. When we resolve a conflict in this life, we may also be resolving conflicts in many other lives simultaneously. In making this discovery, I realized that the real power is not to be found in the universe but by the work that we do in improving ourselves in this life.

I realize now that I am extremely limited in my ability to explain the nature of the universe in my metaphysical writings. The information I am now receiving and experiencing are beyond my understanding. I attempted to explain my experience as metaphysical theories like "The Shared Supportive Reality Experience. After writing this article, I realized that attempting to explain spiritual phenomena only serves to confuse the issue.

Even in explaining my encounter with the shadow person, I can only accurately describe the event; I cannot explain what it means. Although I will continue to write about metaphysics, I will no longer do so with the intention of solving life's great mysteries. I realize I was doing this in vain. It is not possible for anyone to achieve the highest level of knowledge since the Collective Consciousness itself is continually learning.

The Age of Consciousness and the Great Awakening

I do see massive changes taking place in the world. I am aware of the paradigm shift or transformation that many people have been talking about. The experience I just described was the transformation hitting me. I was transformed in a positive way. And yes it was painful. It also required a lot of introspection. This transformative process will continue for as long I am alive.

This transformative process is also affecting the Global Consciousness or the Mass Mind.

The Paradigm Shift that is unfolding in the world is intended to bring about personal and spiritual growth. I would call it a Great Awakening. That does not mean a global awakening will occur, nor does it necessarily mean the end of the human race. The outcome of this paradigm shift depends on our response or reaction to its effects.

The world was not meant to prepare for this event. If people had knowledge of it's coming, the event would not have a beneficial effect on us. My intuitive sense tells me this. I should not have to discuss what is happening in the world. It's plainly clear by reading the headlines. Most people are aware of what is happening. They are just afraid to acknowledge it.

It's my opinion that as the transformation unfolds most people will experience the physical manifestation of it first. The reason for this is that people generally choose to focus on the material aspect of reality.

The Paradigm Shift was not sent into the world as a punishment, but rather as a way of bringing attention to our condition. This means that people will be required to examine their inner selves just as I did. It is a global transformative process in that it will open our eyes. It will force us to deal with our issues rather pretending they do not exist. It is symbolic of the alchemical process which was historically concerned with turning lead into gold. This transformation is truly a human alchemical process.

This transformative process is about healing. In order to deal with the problems of the world, we will need to start taking responsibility for what we have created in our own lives.

Advertising your email opt in by using networking means such as a conference or a trade show will definitely add value. It is important that your website contains details on how to subscribe and what benefits they get if your use your services. Things like frequently asked questions, user guide, or an eBook will add value to your site. You can also send out or share weekly or monthly tips as they are great pieces of knowledge.

Business is like one big adventure. Even if you are prepared, and you're trying to get yourself to stay one step ahead, you never know what might happen as you begin your venture into business. It's best to be prepared for the worst case scenario types of situations. If you want to protect your personal assets it is you should consider learning more about limited liability and how you can use it to your advantage when it comes time to pay taxes and other fees for your business. If you want to know more about this topic, you can read the tips and guide below.

One of the ways businesses handle the funds that go into "setting up shop" is by setting up a limited liability company or even have business tax arranged to make sure that funded moneys gets netted and secured through a third party distributor that can manage any excess incoming or outgoing funds. In multiple states such as Georgia and Oregon, the Limited Liability Corporation allows for businesses to find further success in their respective industries.

When it comes time to create an LLC, you have to fill out a number of forms and go through various meetings with the IRS and other government related programs to figure out whether or not the branching subsidiaries within the business are able to register with LLC filing. Luckily, creating your own LLC and getting it approved is now much easier. Now in the Georgia and Oregon states you'll have your own liability forms available year round. These forms can be looked over by a number of different specialists that work with businesses on filing state and federal forms related to LLC and other liability related issues.

Businesses also have the option of filling out there forms online. Technology has advanced enough for forms to be available online via e-file. With e-files government tax returns can be filled out and returned in a very short amount of time. It's easy to peruse and simply check off the taxes you owe. You can then send them digitally to the IRS. Many websites now use e-files so filing the forms are very easy and can be accessed in a variety of places.

Incorporation occurs when a new corporation is established and a business then falls under its own legal entity instead of being a number of different and smaller entities. This is the point where a big business gets even bigger and has its own set of laws and rules to follow while the government works with them to allocate certain tasks related to LLC and business tax preparation.

It's also important to have all licensing for a business taken care of before the business is officially opened. Any remaining documents that need to be filled out or any property and/or asset discussions that need to be looked over should be cleared before the business starts up. This not only keeps things more organized, it maintains the image of professionalism for that particular business.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

I've got a question for you. What's the number one mistake that most bloggers make when it comes to ensuring that their readers stay up to date with the latest posts from their blog? Its a mistake that most bloggers make that's so simple to fix – yet most bloggers don't realize this error. Give up? Well let me not keep you in suspense any longer.

The number one mistake that most bloggers make is that they do not publish their blog posts via email, as a supplement to their RSS feeds. As you can see, its something that's so simple that its very easy to overlook.

RSS has become very popular over the years, however RSS feed readership only applies to less than 20% of the overall online population. A recent survey I read stated that less than 15% of blog readers use RSS feeds on a regular basis.

So what does this mean to you as a blogger (or potential blogger)? It means that if you a not supplementing your RSS feeds with a corresponding email subscription for those feeds, then you are potentially missing out on about 80% of your regular readership.

    The Problem With Blogs.

There are millions of blogs already, but really few people have the time to watch more than a few daily. But if they come back just once a week, they can be quickly overwhelmed with the amount of new content.

That's why it's crucial for you to provide a "best of", a helping hand to guide your readers to the "must-read" content that you publish. You can deliver this content either as a standalone "blog-zine" or as part of your regular e-mail newsletter.

How You can Fix Your Blog's "Problem".

Deliver your blog posts as they are written via RSS, but then also publish a regular (weekly or monthly) e-mail e-zine with your "top blog posts" for those that are still not into RSS.

Don't just do one channel, do both.

E-mail is still the number one end-user content delivery channel – whether we like it or not. Using e-mail (as a supplement to RSS) to deliver your content simply covers all of your readership bases.

    An Example: Chris Pirillo.

Chris Pirillo is the publisher of one of the most popular technology sites sites on the net – the Lockergnome – and he was actually one of the first tech gurus to proclaim e-mail as being dead.

But still, while he prefers for his subscribers to use RSS instead of e-mail, that isn't stopping him from using or promoting either RSS or e-mail.

Comparing Blogs With E-Zines, Email and RSS.

If you are still thinking that blogs are actually "beyond e-mail", then just consider the following.

RSS and e-mail are content delivery channels; the tools that enable you to deliver your content to end-users. Blogs and e-zines on the other hand are two different internet media content formats, differing in how or what content is provided and presented through them.

RSS/e-mail and blogs/e-zines cannot be directly compared. Blog content and e-zine content can both be delivered via RSS and e-mail, and there is no direct business/logical relation between, for example, blogs and RSS.

Blogs are "personal" conversations, opinions and news, delivered in a linear structure, usually written in a more personal style, and confined to a limited number of content types.

E-zines on the other hand are more similar to magazines or newspapers, carrying content presented in a complex non-linear content structure, and having the ability to carry many different content types that do not mix well together if provided through a linear content structure.

Providing all of this content for an e-zine demands a complex content structure and a strong and experienced editor. The blog format simply does not provide the level of structure needed to effectively present such a complex content mix.

But that's not to say that blogs are in any way inferior to e-zines, they're just different. Today's businesses need both, and they need to deliver both via RSS and e-mail.

    Conclusion.

Your personal preferences towards content delivery channels and internet content media formats have no place in how you distribute your information. What matters is what your audience wants and how they want it. Therefore its your responsibility to ensure that your readers can view your content from multiple channels. Doing this will always ensure that you have a consistent flow of traffic to your blog.

Camping is a fun activity that many people enjoy, yet this is an activity that a person needs to plan for. Along with knowing the area that a person is camping in, an individual also needs to have outdoor survival gear to make this venture safe and to ensure if there are any obstacle or surprises during this adventure that these can be death with accordingly. When most people think of camping they think of bonfires, tents and sleeping bags. However, there is a slue of other survival gear items a person should be packing with them at all times.

Within the survival kits a person packs for camping, there should be a number of items. These items include:

    - Flashlight

    - Extra batteries

    - GPS

    - Compass

    - Maps of the area

    - A cell phone or satellite phone for those who are camping in more rugged territories

    - First aid kid that includes bandages, antiseptic, rubbing alcohol, and vitamins

    - MRE's are great to have as these are meals on the go that will provide enough calories to help a person in any situation

    - Lighters and matches

    - Fuel for a fire

    - A weather radio

    - Water filters in the even that bottled water runs out

    - Fishing pole with bait

This list is just a starter for many people who are preparing their survival kits, yet they are going to be the basics for those who are camping. Though this may be viewed by some as being a bit too much to take on a camping trip, there are several things that could go wrong when camping. For one, weather can take a turn for the worse, leading the person to be outdoors longer than they thought. Secondly, if a person were to become injured while camping, they need to ensure they have the know how to stay alive until help can arrive.

Survival gear for camping is not something in which a person wants to ignore. There are miraculous stories of people who survive days in the wilderness and these people often thank their planning and packing strategies. One of the keys to making all this outdoor survival gear easier for the person is to have a sturdy backpack that is going to hold all of these items.

For first time campers it is great for the person to pack their bag before their camping trip to ensure there is nothing lost or forgotten. Leaving items in the bag at all times that are not going to hurt through being stored is a great way to ensure a person is prepared. Without being prepared, a person cannot expect their camping trip to be completely safe. Though most camping trips are meant to be fun, and often surpass the expectations of campers, there are those times in which camping trips can go wrong. It is best to be prepared for any type of situation while camping as this can ensure no one is hurt or starving while awaiting assistance.

There are hundreds of thousands of people who spend their free time planning survival kits that are meant to be their way of life should something happen. For many people, this planning is due to the unease they feel with the current economy or the fear of what could happen. Whatever the reason, everyone should have some sort of survival gear in place in order to ensure they and their family is prepared for every situation. Typical gear most people think of is bottled water, flashlights, batteries and nonperishable food items. However, there is a whole word to outdoor survival gear that can help to ensure the person is prepared for any and all situations they come across.

Surviving without electricity, running water, and the common luxuries that most people take for granted requires a bit more than a few bottles of water and a flashlight. Those who are eager to have survival kits that are going to aid in their survival, they will find the gear also needs to include items that can be used in multiple ways. For example, having the items to start a fire is not only going to provide warmth and a way to cook food, but can also serve as a way to let others know of the location a person is located. With this in mind, other multiple use items will include plastic baggies that will allow for the storage of items, but can also be instrumental in purifying the water a person is drinking.

Other items the person needs to include are those that are going to help with shelter if the previous shelter is no longer available. In the best case scenario, the person who has a tent is going to be in the best shape. However, if the tent were to be blown to pieces by the weather, it is necessary for the person have a way to stay warm and dry. These types of items are going to include rain coats, tarps, gloves, hats, and the like. With the tarps and other items a person can build their own fort to be safe, while the extra clothing is going to allow a person to have safety from the elements.

Food is also a main priority of any person wishing to have the survival gear needed to be safe and survive. Packing foods that are sealed and full of healthy proteins and carbs, a person can ensure they are well fed. But, there are also ways the person can ensure they do not have to rely on these types of food. This way includes packing items that will aid in hunting of foraging. These items can be a small caliper weapon, knife, fishing pole, and a fishing net.

With outdoor survival gear, a person has the ability to ensure they survive no matter any obstacle that may be in their way. Those who pack with this in mind, will find they are able to have peace of mind knowing they are prepared for anything, and their life will greatly benefit to being prepared.

Everyday there are reasons that a person would need to have survival gear ready to go at a moments notice. Yet, there are many people who do not understand what they should have prepared, nor do they see the reason as to why they should have this type of gear. In all reality, natural disasters can happen anywhere, and when these happen a person is on their own. Hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and the like are all elements that a person can be put through. When these events happen, there is no luxuries that people have and neglect to be thankful for. For example, no electricity, no running water and no shelter. The idea of having survival kits is good for every person out there, and they can offer a platform of safety should the unthinkable happen.

One of the key components a person will need to have is outdoor survival gear. This type of gear is aimed at helping the person to survive in the wilderness. When having to survive in the outdoors, a fire is something that is a necessity. Not only is this something that provides warmth, it can also be a way to keep wild animals away, alert others of where your location is at, and basically become one of the best ways to meet natural needs. The same type of philosophy applies to having bottled water, flashlights with an extra supply of batteries, a pocket knife, and a supply of nonperishable food items. Other items that may come in handy is a back up cell phone, in the event phone lines are still operational, signal flares, extra clothing, bedding items, compass, maps of the local area, and a first aid kit. These are items that can be the difference between living or dying in extreme situations.

With this being said, survival kits should be easily available for a home to find in the even they are needed. In fact, it is advised that a person keep several of these kits on hand and have them located throughout the home in the event they need to make a quick exit. It is also advisable to have survival gear for every member of the family. This is going to make supplies last longer and allows everyone to live more comfortably. Each member of a household should know where the supplies are located at all times so they can ensure to grab these if they are needed.

Though most people may think of outdoor survival gear as something that is needed for those who spend their time in nature, this is gear that will become invaluable if there is a natural disaster in the area. Those who have experienced these types of disasters understand the chaos that results from these disasters, and it is a situation in which no one wants to be involved in. Yet, those who are better prepared to handle these situations are going to be those who come out of the disaster with strength and determination.

Aquaponics is becoming a very popular home&garden topic these days. Most people are familiar with raising their own vegetables at home and all of the many benefits that provides. However, when you add raising fish to your vegetable garden you enjoy an enormous amount of benefits. Here is additional information on this "green" method for gardening.

Aquaponics is more than raising your own fish and vegetables. When it is done properly, you create your very own eco-system with plants taking care of animals and vice versa. As fish live in water they produce waste material in the form of ammonia and nitrates. When these things are allowed to build up they can be very bad for the health of the fish.

Fish waste material happens to be good for plants. When plants are allowed to remove these nutrients from water, they are nourished. At the same time, the water is cleaned and safe for the fish to live in, and the cycle is continued.

Many modern day farming businesses are making the change to aquaponics. When plants do not have to actively search for food they are more efficient. Plants thrive in this type of environment and grow faster.

Many states are concerned with water conservation these days. Modern aquaponic operations use far less water than the same amount of plants grown conventionally. In fact, it can be as much as ninety percent less.

Growing vegetables and fish starts with establishing a good system first. This includes the proper filtration methods. Filters need plenty of beneficial bacteria to operate properly.

Starting your own aquaponics operation may take a little work, but it is not as difficult as most people would imagine. It is important to get the system running before adding the fish. Of course it is much easier if you take the time learn and understand about this fascinating pastime.

DIY Aquaponics is not hard to learn as there is a great deal of information online. One of the best ways to learn is to start small. For a reasonable price you can easily purchase a small aquaponic system online. You also can purchase inexpensive systems for kids, to introduce aquaponics to the entire family.

There are some excellent videos and "how to" guides if you look in the right places. You should draw out your aquaponic plan first. This gives you a good plan to follow. You also will need piping or hoses for your water. Your plants need a tub to grow in and you need some type of container for the fish. Gravel is essential as well as the right pumps, along with a source of electricity. Larger systems should have something like a green house for best results.

Try to make sure that your home&garden aquaponic system is about waist high. This makes it easier to work with. You will not have to bend over a great deal or work from a ladder, this way. As long as you do your homework beforehand, you should have few problems with your new aquaponic system.

Planning where to stay can be an ordeal when travelling. Depending on your situation criterion could vary tremendously. On a budget, you may think 'if the price is right it doesn't matter, I'l go for it'. Sacrificing quality over rates is never a good idea. Even if your hotel room is budget-friendly but confined and grimy, this does take away the joy from your holiday in a big way. That's why you need to make sure you are getting the best possible value for your money.

Apartments are considerably cheaper than hotels and with larger groups savings are exponential. A family or a large group of friends or colleagues, in a single high end apartment can get the per-person price down to the equivalent rate of a hostel.

For example a one bedroom apartment can accommodate up to four guests and a two bedroom apartment up to six. This results in your bill being much cheaper whilst providing you with more luxury, comfort, privacy and security.

Spend your hard earned money on indulging in yourself rather than tipping hotel staff from the time to check in to the time you check-out! Let's not forget when a bill is heftier when you helped yourself to 'complimentary' looking bottle of water or a basket of snack

Feel exasperated waking up at 7 am on your holiday after an enjoyable late night just because the breakfast timings are till 9 in the morning? Now YOU get to decide you get to decide when, what and how your meals need to be cooked and served in your lovely fully equipped kitchen in your apartment.

Going to restaurants for every meal can be heavy on your pocket. You can cook-up the local cuisine at a fraction of the cost and at your leisure with easy access to the nearby shops and markets! Or make your own picnic basket if you plan on visiting one of the very many parks in London.

Tired of staying in a stuffy room? Now you have the opportunity to come back after a long day of sight -seeing or business meeting and kick back in your own living room and enjoy the home-entertainment system. A TV with cable or chose your favorite movie on the DVD while enjoying a glass of vino! Get all the space you deserve

Apartments that are centrally located give holiday makers great access to the major tourist attractions the popular night clubs. You don't need to plan a tight schedule, pop in and out as and when you feel like it, perhaps returning for a quick bite you can make in your fully equipped kitchen or siesta!

Serviced Apartments are equally suited for corporate travelers. Many of them are in and around the location of conference centers plus and almost all apartments offer concierge services, free internet, laundry and maid services. Apartments provide a homely milieu, offering greater space and privacy to work or kick back and relax after a tedious day.

Already looking for your next holiday apartment!?

As summer turns into fall, one of the best seasons to take a Grand Canyon helicopter tour lies just ahead. But don't delay too long when it comes to booking one of these fabulous flights or you'll walk into a sell out.

In the travel industry, summer is peak season for helicopter rides. This means an increase in rates and a lot of over-bookings. Now as fall approaches, be prepared for lower rates and more inventory (eg more seats on the day you want to fly).

Indeed, summer is a great time to fly, despite such drawbacks like crowds, affordability and the heat (the West Rim is famous for temperatures exceeding 100 degrees nearly every day from June through September!). With fall, all this changes, including a major drop in temperatures that makes the canyon an even more enjoyable experience.

During autumn, helicopter tours take off from two locations – Las Vegas, NV, and Tusayan, AZ, which is home to Grand Canyon National Park Airport. The number of departures will decrease by about 10 percent, which is due to the fact that days are shorter (the first flight to go is the "early bird" tour).

Travelers from Las Vegas will fly to the West Rim, which is a mere 120 miles to the east. Flight time is approximately 45 minutes one way. The trip itself takes off from multiple airstrips in the Vegas metro area and goes over Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. From there, you'll either fly over the Grand Canyon and come back, land at the bottom or land at the top.

If your time is limited, I recommend taking the air-only tour. It covers all the main landmarks and is a great way to sample the canyon. Total tour time, including free hotel pick up and drop off, is 3 hours. However, if you really want to go for it, take a landing tour.

My favorite "lander" is the one that goes to the bottom for a Champagne lunch. You get about 30 minutes at the bottom before ascending out of the canyon and back to Vegas. Another one that's quite popular comes with a boat ride and a ticket to the Grand Canyon Skywalk.

If you are staying in an Arizona locale like Sedona, Phoenix, Williams, Flagstaff, Tusayan and inside the National Park itself, you'll choose between two spectacular aerial tours. There's also a combination air/ground tour but frankly most of you will have a vehicle while at the canyon so I feel that going with an air-only flight is appropriate.

South Rim helicopter tours are either 30 minute or 50 minutes in length. The shorter flight goes from the South Rim to the North Rim and back. In between the rims, you go through the Dragoon Corridor, which is the most spectacular section inside the entire canyon. The longer flight does everything the shorter one does and more, including flying over everything up to the eastern border – take this flight if you want to experience up to 75 percent of the entire Park in under an hour!

So there your have it why fall Grand Canyon helicopter tours are so awesome. Not only are temperatures (and visibility) better during this season, but you'll most likely find seats. That said, don't get lackadaisical when it comes to booking ahead of time: purchase your seats online at least a week before your desired departure date. Now, confirmation letter in hand, you can relax and get ready for a flight that will deliver you a lifetime of memories.
