Almost all the self-defense sprays available today are a pepper spray, but some have mace, tear gas or dye added. So the decision to select a pepper spray depends on how and where you plan to use it.
The primary ingredient in pepper spray is Oleoresin Capsicums (OC). Manufactures will add from 1% to 10% of OC to their spray. This is one of the first decisions to make in selecting a spray. The amount of OC affects the use of the spray, more than the effectiveness of the spray. Very heavy concentrations of OC do not seem to work as fast as lesser concentrates do. Generally a spray with 2 to 5% OC is the most effective.
The Heat Unit Rating or "burn" is measured in Scoville Heat Units (SHU). For years individual companies have posted their own SHU values which usually were in the millions of units. Recently an independent laboratory did testing and came up with more realistic figures. With all that said it doesn't matter if the individual rating is in thousands or millions. What matters is how it compares to others. This brings up the question why would you want the hottest self-defense spray available? Using the hottest gives the most punishment and longest affect to your attacker. However some of the lesser SHU rated pepper sprays have other specific uses.
Below you will find independent laboratory testing results from CHROMTEC, LLC:
Wildfire - 18% The Scoville Heat Units (SHU) based on this assay calculates to 242,000
Streetwise 23 - The Scoville Heat Units (SHU) based on this assay calculates to 216,700
Guard Dog - The Scoville Heat Units (SHU) based on this assay calculates to 174,200
Streetwise 18 - The Scoville Heat Units (SHU) based on this assay calculates to 162,400
Crime Halter - The Scoville Heat Units (SHU) based on this assay calculates to 158,900
Pepper Shot - The Scoville Heat Units (SHU) based on this assay calculates to 122,000
PSP (Eliminator) - The Scoville Heat Units (SHU) based on this assay calculates to 118,300
Sabre - The Scoville Heat Units (SHU) based on this assay calculates to 91,500.
Cheetah - The Scoville Heat Units (SHU) based on this assay calculates to 87,000
Fox Labs - The Scoville Heat Units (SHU) based on this assay calculates to 84,000
Distance that the spray is effective is very important in you decision as to which product should you buy. A key chain or pocket-size model is usually effective from 8 to 15 feet. A larger canister will provide up to 22 feet with many more 1 to 2 second shots. A pepper spray gun is effective up to 25 feet and has a laser pointer to put you on the target at that distance. That does not mean that the only good unit is a pepper gun. The key chain or pocket models are very easy to carry in any situation and works extremely well in close quarters or around groups of people. You certainly don't want to spray the wrong person.
Pepper spray can be purchased in a stream, fog or gel pattern. The most common is the stream which is directed to the eyes of the assailant. In windy conditions such as a boat or outdoors the gel is not effected by wind as much as a stream and will work up to 18 feet. Also if your attacker reaches up to wipe his eyes he will just spread the gel around making the effect worse. A fog is used in two different situations. The first situation is crowd control, when you need the pepper spray to affect several people. The second is for animal control. If you are in an area with a bear of angry dog, you don't want to try to get closer and spray them in the eye. With an animal's very sensitive nose, a fog of pepper spray will send them away when they enter the fogged area.
Now the first rule of self-defense is to disable and get away to safety. Once you use a self-defense spray, do not hang around to see how effective it is. Escape to the safety, and if possible summons the police. This brings up another feature of some sprays. There are triple-action sprays that contain OC pepper, CN tear gas and UV dye marker. The OC pepper causes the eyes to slam shut and the victim to have uncontrollable choking, while the CN tear gas causes profuse tearing and burning sensation on the face. If the police apprehend a suspect they can use a black light to see the UV dye for proof.
The best feature of a self-defense spray is that it is non-lethal and you should have no hesitation to use this means of self-defense. Remember the 3 R's, Recognition, Reaction and Run, and you will not be a victim.

Is your life an endless cycle, revolving around work and taking care of the kids? If so, you're not alone. In a recent study by the Families and Work Institute, ½ of American women say they don't have enough time to spend on themselves and to choose the activities they enjoy. We all know that saying 'yes' to more responsibility can make us feel safer with the boss and help us avoid conflict in the family. But too often 'yes' is our default mode with just about everything.
In a world of relentless demands, saying 'no' is highly underutilized. Of course, you can't abandon the never ending to-do lists around work and domestic duties. But don't you think you also deserve to identify your other, more personal priorities? Start now with these practical GEMS - Give it up, Evaluate, Move ahead, Savor - can help you put more sparkle in your life.
Give it up: As the gatekeeper, are you sometimes frustrated, stressed out or resentful about your workload and home chores? Recognize that some of the barriers are in your own head. And learning how to shift your standards is critical. Let go of the idea that you can do it all. And don't beat yourself up about it. Guilt is a prevalent emotion for those who worry that they're not doing enough. Remind yourself that it's ok to do less or to delegate, given the realities of your situation. Know that you're dancing as fast as you can.
Evaluate here and now: You'll make better choices if you step back and assess what you're doing. Are you already exhausted by volunteering in your kids' classrooms, coaching their soccer team and heading up the school fundraiser? Decide what makes the most sense for you and then prioritize. The same holds true with chores around the house. As long as you're willing to do it all, others likely won't step up to the plate.
Move ahead: Think about what you wanted to do today but couldn't find the time to enjoy. It can define your priorities for tomorrow and help you stay on track in the face of the inevitable distractions. Mark this as the beginning of creating new rituals. Figure out specific activities to integrate into your regular routine - taking a walk during your lunch hour, meeting a friend for coffee once a week, writing in your journal or reading before bed. Carve out this time just for you and keep it sacred.
Savor your selfhood: Society sends mixed messages when it comes to taking care of yourself. On one hand we're taught to go after what we want, yet if we fight too hard we're seen as selfish. Integrate your self-fulness as you practice saying 'no' to what may be presented as greater opportunities. Because yielding to outside pressure and taking on more responsibility can amount to ignoring what may be in your own best interests.
The time-frazzled woman has become a common archetype. We're socialized to be available to our spouse, children, parents, friends and boss. And the price we pay to please others is high. At what point do we learn that charity begins at home? Self-esteem comes from having the courage to make tough choices, even if they're unpopular. After all, if a long-term goal is to have our kids find personal fulfillment, shouldn't we lead by example? Put yourself at the top of your to-do list and act as if you're the person you love the most.

Article Title: Things to Know When Constructing a Pallet Rack System

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
While pallet racking is the most common form of industrial shelving utilized in warehouse operations today, the construction of the storage system remains a complex job. That's why it's always best to leave the duties to trained and qualified installers to ensure that your storage system is put together safely and securely. That doesn't mean, though, that it isn't a good idea to have a solid understanding of what goes into constructing the storage system, even if you are going to leave the job in the hands of third-party professionals.
Know the Available Space in Your Facility
Making the most efficient use of the available space in your facility is absolutely key for a great pallet rack system design, making it essential to take accurate measurements of your entire facility before beginning the phase. Having accurate measurements of not only the length and width of your warehouse floor space, but also height measurements, will enable you to have a clear understanding of how many rows of pallet racking you will be able to construct within your facility.
Install on a Level Surface
It is imperative to construct a pallet rack system on a level surface, but, believe it or not, that can take some tweaking to make happen. Oftentimes, concrete floor in a warehouse can be uneven in places. The structural integrity of the overall pallet racking system can be severely compromised if it is constructed on an uneven surface. It is important to use a carpenter's level across the floor in order to make sure that the surface is level. Shims can be used in spots where the surface is uneven in order to make the area flat.
Fasten All Columns to the Floor
Making sure that all components of the racking system are firmly fastened together during construction goes without saying. However, you also need to make sure to securely fasten all columns of a pallet rack system to the facility floor. This helps to enhance the overall structural stability of the system and keep it in place.
Maintain Adequate Spacing and Clearances
Most material handling equipment used for loading and unloading pallets on a racking system, such as industrial forklifts, need ample room to maneuver. Serious damage can occur to the pallet rack system in a collision with an industrial vehicle, even if common accessories such as rack guards and post protectors are used. So, it's important to leave adequate space between rows and pallet racking. And, don't forget to leave adequate clearances as well. You should never have an impediment crossing between rows of pallet racking that is lower than the highest storage bay.
Don't Mix Parts
While many pallet racking components may look similar, they do vary in design, even those from the same company. Manufacturers regularly modify designs in order to improve performance. These minor differences can affect safety, which is why it's smart to never mix new and existing parts, or mix parts between manufacturers. Also, you should never cut, weld, or modify parts in an effort to avoid making a purchase of the parts that are required. Trying to save a few bucks that way could compromise the structural integrity of the entire pallet racking system, and that could cost a whole lot more in the future.

When you plan the family vacation, you have a lot of things to consider. Grand Canyon bus tours are no exception to the rule. However, if you figure out what you want to experience on the tour, it helps you narrow down your choices.
Popular Tourist Destination
Over four million people visit the Grand Canyon every year. There is plenty to see there too since it is so huge at 18 miles wide, 1 mile deep, and 277 miles long. Motor coach tours are the ideal way to get a close view of the amazing sites to be seen in the canyon.
There are a lot of tour operators offering bus tours from Phoenix and Vegas. Picking out the best tours may seem overwhelming. One thing you can do is read online reviews of the various tours. Reading about the experiences of others may help you filter out the tours you want to avoid.
One of the most important things to consider is which rim you want to visit. The motor coach tours go to the South Rim and the West Rim. If you plan to depart from Las Vegas in Nevada, you can choose either rim. If Phoenix is your departure city, you will go to the South Rim. Expect to spend an entire day on these tours. In fact, a tour to the South Rim from Vegas takes around 15 hours from start to finish. While you can go to either rim, keep in mind there are no shuttle buses between the two rims.
Some more helpful info...
Tours From Vegas
It will take your motor coach around 2.5 hours to get to the West Rim from Las Vegas. When you are at the West Rim, don't miss seeing the Grand Canyon Skywalk where you can walk 70 feet past the edge of the canyon and peer into the depths below. I think that's awesome, but even better is the helicopter tour to the bottom (you can even take a Colorado River boat ride while down there!).
I noted that Vegas-South Rim is an all-day adventure. For your convenience you can get free pick up and drop off service to your hotel, plus lunch is included too. It also features a great 3-hour tour inside the Park where you'll see Mather Point, Yaki Point and Grand Canyon Village, among other sights.
Tours From Phoenix
Departing from Phoenix, Arizona means you get to see some beautiful scenery such as the red rock buttes of Sedona. The scenery of Sedona is beautiful and you will appreciate getting to stop there. After Sedona, you pass by Flagstaff and then go to the South Rim for a three-hour tour of the canyon. Lunch is included.
Dress for comfort is what I tell readers. The West Rim is hotter in the summer than the South Rim is. No matter where you go, protect yourself from the sun by bringing water, a hat, and sunblock. If you go to the Grand Canyon in the winter, be prepared for extreme weather at the South Rim. So dress to stay warm with a hat, long pants, jacket, and gloves.
Summary
If you are planning a family getaway, think about taking a bus tour of the Grand Canyon. These trips are very affordable ways to see the canyon whether you leave from Phoenix or Vegas. If you are starting out from Vegas, you get to pick between the West Rim and the South Rim (if you go West Rim, strongly consider adding the Skywalk or a helicopter ride to the bottom). If you plan to depart from Arizona, you will go to the South Rim only. It is a good idea to get your seats early and buy them online. But remember: to get the Internet discount, you've got to complete the transaction online.
Have a fun time on your bus tour!

Several opportunities of real estate investments in the United States have made it the hotspot for investing for the foreign nationals. No matter from which country you belong, you can always purchase a property in America.
Basically there are two kinds of real estate investment options present in USA- residential and commercial. Residential real estate investment is further divided into sub categories such as apartments, single family properties, condominiums or any recreational properties. Irrespective of the investments you choose, all kinds of financing options are available.
The troubles in the real estate market in US have opened gateways for real estate investments in US for the foreigners. The dollar's value has gone all time low at this point of time and there are many properties for sale. As a result, foreigners throughout the world are investing in the real estate in the states. It has become the most lucrative long term investments for foreign investors. The floating exchange rate is not the only reason for investment in US, the real estate market has become quite stable and each of the real estate investments has high resale value in the future.
Real estate investments are always much safer than investing in anything else. As compared to stock, and mutual funds' investments, real estate investments are far more stable, as when you invest in real estate, you can be ascertain that your money would grow with time.
Sound communication skill is also important to thrive in the real estate market. The better you communicate the better network you make for yourself. And a sound network could possibly do wonders for your business in terms of lead generation and profit making. Proper communication can be an effective tool for your business promotion as well.
Initially, communication could be little problematic but as you start communicating with more number of probable leads, you can realize that you have started framing better sentences and can also close the deals with homeowners . You can also list down sentences and words that you find is crucial in framing sentences in front of your leads. Slowly with time and with practice, you can find better ways that are brining profit to your business and eventually increases your ROI.
US government supports foreign investments and has encouraged various tax breaks to interest foreigners to invest ion real estate there. However, most of the countries do not even allow foreigners to own properties within the geographical boundaries of their country. This liberal act of US government has acted as a primary benefit for buying property in US.
The current economic conditions of the United States are yet another reason why you should invest in US properties. As long as you can comply with the mortgage requirements and payments, you can easily afford a property in US. Also there is availability of mortgage financing which makes the financing easy when you are investing in the properties of America. There are several lenders who are ready to invest in the property you are buying, so there is no reason to invest all your hard earned money into a property, you can just take a loan and pay it off gradually.

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
This article picks up from article "2013 Fantasy Football Mock Draft - rounds 1-7".
Round 8
1.Tony Romo
2.Russell Wilson
3.Tavon Austin
4.Michael Vick
5.Ben Tate
6.Malcom Floyd
7.Vincent Brown
8.Matthew Stafford
9.DeAndre Hopkins
10.Jacoby Jones
11.Robert Griffin III
12.Jermichael Finley
NOTES: The next tier of QBs gets their run here for those teams that did not grab a stud QB earlier. I have no issue with any QB here, but I would recommend going after another QB in round 9 or 10 if you roll the dice on Vick or RGIII as your starting QB. Ben Tate is a must-grab backup here, plus, he may see 10-15 carries a game. I have no idea why anyone would draft Jacoby Jones…in any round. He has made a career out of one catch and his return game, but he has made a career aside from that as a disappointing starting WR.
Round 9
1.Eli Manning
2.Brandon Pettigrew
3.Martellus Bennett
4.Ronnie Hillman
5.Kenbrell Thompkins
6.Josh Gordon
7.Shane Vereen
8.Bernard Pierce
9.Matt Schaub
10.Sydney Rice
11.Andre Brown
12.Antonio Gates
NOTES: We are now into mixed bag rounds; mid-level TEs, backup QB and straight-up fliers. If you have Steven Ridley, you HAVE to grab Shane Vereen. Vereen could easily supplant Ridley as the #1 back. Josh Gordon has dropped too far due to his suspension, but he is a steal in this round and can easily sit on your bench for a few weeks. Kenbrell Thompkins is worth a pick if you are already set at WR. He has rapidly risen up the ranks as he appears to be the Patriots' downfield threat. Houston has not lined up a single talented receiver across from Andre Johnson since he was been in the league…until now…grab DeAndre Hopkins with confidence.
Round 10
1.Zach Miller
2.Joe Flacco
3.Vick Ballard
4.Carson Palmer
5.Michael Floyd
6.Jay Cutler
7.Sam Bradford
8.Andre Roberts
9.Pierre Thomas
10.Ben Roethlisberger
11.Greg Little
12.Kenny Britt
NOTES: More of the same with backup QBs and running backs. A few intriguing picks are Michael Floyd and Pierre Thomas. I truly believe in Arizona's passing game this year and Floyd will benefit immensely from teams overloading on Larry Fitzgerald and Carson Palmer being able to throw the ball downfield. New Orleans needs a power back to offset Darren Sproles. They seem to think that Mark Ingram is not the answer and lost Chris Ivory, so Thomas is that back from default. Worthy of a pick here is you are not deep enough at RB.
Round 11
1.Josh Freeman
2.Darrius Heyward-Bey
3.Brandon Myers
4.Fred Jackson
5.Philip Rivers
6.Andy Dalton
7.Seattle Defense
8.Ed Dickson
9.Bilal Powell
10.Brian Hartline
11.Benjarvus Green-Ellis
12.Ryan Tannehill
NOTES: More of the same with backup QBs and running backs. A few intriguing picks are Brandon Myers, Jonathan Dwyer and Bilal Powell. Myers is a #1 TE and is a steal in this round if you have been waiting until now for a TE. He was not a big end-zone target in Oakland, but Eli utilizes his tight ends much better in the Red Zone. The Jets are BAD, Bad, Bad, Bad, but they do need a RB to carry the load. Chris Ivory will be that man, but he gets hurt every year. Powell looked very good at times last year and could find himself with 10-15 carries a gain when Ivory is healthy and 20+ when Ivory gets hurt.
Round 12
1.Jacquizz Rodgers
2.San Francisco Defense
3.Nate Washington
4.Denver Defense
5.Alshon Jeffery
6.Chris Givens
7.Mark Ingram
8.Jared Cook
9.Brandon LaFell
10.La'Veon Bell
11.Stephan Hill
12.TY Hilton
NOTES: There are some nice receivers that are well worth a roster spot in this round. If Alshon Jeffery can stay healthy, he will have a big year in Chicago. The passing game needs another receiver and he is a tall, though fragile, target. No one has taken a Jets receiver yet, with good reason, but Hill could be their #1, for what that's worth. TY Hilton was a favorite of Andrew Luck in the second half of 2012. I don't buy into Heyward-Bey knocking him down the depth chart.
Round 13
1.Zach Sudfeld
2.Bernard Pierce
3.Denarius Moore
4.Houston Defense
5.Daniel Thomas
6.Chicago Defense
7.Pittsburgh Defense
8.Andre Dobson
9.Brent Walsh
10.Zac Stacy
11.Mohamed Sanu
12.Jonathan Franklin
NOTES: By now, there is no way to predict what will happen to these players. Slow owners will remember that it is best to back up their stud RBs and a few people will jump on the remaining top defenses before the inevitable rush in week 14.
Round 14
1.Shonn Green
2.Delanie Walker
3.Michael Bush
4.Arizona Defense
5.St. Louis Defense
6.Cincinnati Defense
7.New England Defense
8.Rob Housler
9.Green Bay Defense
10.Brice Brown
11.Baltimore Defense
12.Steven Goskowski
NOTES: The second to last round of the draft. This is where Defenses should be drafted since there is not a lot that separates them in most normal scoring systems. This could vary greatly if your league also awards points for low yardage and points allowed. By now, a few over-zealous owners have grabbed Houston, Denver, Seattle and San Fran. Do not panic and follow them down this path. Wait until this round and grab Cincy, if possible. I love their defense this year. I also expect solid defenses in Arizona, St. Louis, New England and Tampa. Don't buy into Baltimore, Green Bay, Philly as those solid defenses are in the past.
Round 15
1.Matt Bryant
2.Greg Zuerlein
3.Justin Tucker
4.Josh Brown
5.Garrett Hartley
6.Robbie Gould
7.Matt Prater
8.Atlanta Defense
9.Phil Dawson
10.TB Defense
11.Sebastian Janikowski
12.Adam Vinatieri
NOTES: The last round of the draft. This is where Kickers should be drafted since there is not a lot that separates them and no one can predict how many opportunities each will get. My usual strategy is to draft one with a Bye in weeks 10-12 so I don't have to worry about that position for over half the season.

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
The NFL football pre-season is coming to a close but the majority of fantasy football drafts are in the last week. If you are like me, you prefer to wait until that week so you have a clear understanding of who the starters will be and not own valuable players who are now injured. I have been keeping a Fantasy Football Mock Draft list all summer long and have made numerous adjustments to it. I have also watched many drafts and have build an "average" draft from those results for standard scoring leagues. This allows me to compare the two and helps me understand if I need to pick a player earlier than expected if I really want them or if I can wait a little while longer on a player. I will share these insights with you now.
Round 1
1.Adrian Peterson
2.Doug Martin
3.Alfred Morris
4.Ray Rice
5.Arian Foster
6.Jamal Charles
7.Marshawn Lynch
8.Charles Johnson
9.Matt Forte
10.CJ Spiller
11.Steven Ridley
12.LeSean McCoy
NOTES: After AP. Every mock draft has a different order for the remaining picks in round one. I believe that Doug Martin is the safest choice out of this group followed by Morris and Rice. Arian Foster is a best but knee and foot injuries with your number 1 pick can be a real killer. Steven Ridley is a questionable number 1 since he has no real track record and Shane Vereen could easily slide into a co-number 1 back role.
Round 2
1.AJ Green
2.Aaron Rodgers
3.Brandon Marshall
4.Dez Bryant
5.Frank Gore
6.Drew Brees
7.Demaryius Thomas
8.Steven Jackson
9.Trent Richardson
10.Chris Johnson
11.Larry Fitzgerald
12.Maurice Jones-Drew
NOTES: I don't like Rodgers this high. Too many injuries at WR and a bad OL have me concerned with his production this year. IF I want to go QB early, Brees is easily my first choice off the board. If I don't get Brees, I look down a round or two for Matt Ryan. All RBs in this round with a shortened nickname give me pause; Sjax, T-Rich, CJ2K and MoJo are better left for other owners if you ask me. I'd pull a top WR before one of these 4, even Larry Fitzgerald since I am all in on his connection with Palmer this year.
Round 3
1.Julio Jones
2.Andre Johnson
3.Roddy White
4.Jimmy Graham
5.Randall Cobb
6.Tom Brady
7.Marques Colston
8.Darren McFadden
9.Cam Newton
10.Montee Ball
11.Matt Ryan
12.Vincent Jackson
NOTES: You can't go wrong with any WR in this round or Jimmy Graham. Barring injury, Graham will double-up all other TEs this year. I personally grab Matt Ryan over Tm Brady this year due to age, health and far, far, far better receivers.
Round 4
1.Reggie Wayne
2.DeMarco Murray
3.Mike Wallace
4.Peyton Manning
5.Jordy Nelson
6.Torrey Smith
7.David Wilson
8.Victor Cruz
9.Reggie Bush
10.Ryan Mathews
11.Danny Amendola
12.Derrick Bowe
NOTES: If you have 2 solid RBs, a top WR/ Jimmy Graham and have a shot at Manning here, take it! You can fill out other WRs as you go on. Adding more confidence, better health and Wes Welker will only make his numbers better this year. There are a lot of question marks in this round that I would leave up to other owners, namely, Wayne, Murray, Mathews and Bush (only if not in a PPR league). David Wilson is a high risk, high reward in this round. Do yourself a favor, in round 12-13, grab Andre Brown if you are the person drafting David Wilson, even though Brown is hurt.
Round 5
1.Steve Smith
2.Eric Decker
3.Anquan Boldin
4.Stevie Johnson
5.Greg Jennings
6.Lamar Miller
7.Eddie Lacy
8.James Jones
9.Wes Welker
10.Emmanuel Sanders
11.Lance Moore
12.Vernon Davis
NOTES: In my eyes, there are two sets of receivers here, the must drafts and the definitely skip. I don't trust Greg Jennings and Wes Welker this high. Manning loved throwing to Decker last year and I don't see a fall-off there, but I do with Welker. I love Boldin as a player and think he will be a beast in San Fran this year so he is my first pick out of this group.
Round 6
1.Chris Ivory
2.Mike Williams
3.Rob Gronkowski
4.Tony Gonzalez
5.Miles Austin
6.Colin Kaepernick
7.Greg Olsen
8.Owen Daniels
9.Hakeem Nicks
10.Giovani Bernard
11.Darren Sproles
12.Rashard Mendenhall
NOTES: Giovani Bernard has moved up every week since the rankings came out and with good reason. He is the Real Deal and will own the number 1 RB slot on a very good Bengals offense this year. I take him over anyone else in this round. Too many TEs in this round for me, though I would draft Tony G since he is still a health freak and will repeat last year's monster numbers. I can't trust Gronk, but think Mendenhall is a great choice here.
Round 7
1.Tyler Eifert
2.DeSean Jackson
3.Cecil Shorts
4.DeAngelo Williams
5.Andrew Luck
6.Jason Witten
7.Daryl Richardson
8.Isaac Redman
9.Ahmad Bradshaw
10.Kyle Rudolph
11.Pierre Garcon
12.Golden Tate
NOTES: Round 7 is a money round. If you overloaded in a position earlier, you can easily fill a hole here. Not enough RBs? Williams and Richardson are bruising starters. Not enough WRs? Jackson, Garcon and Shorts have potential for monster seasons. Need a TE? Eifert and Witten will make you smile. I think this is too early for Luck. Bradshaw is a roll of the dice that could pay off if you want a bench RB and potential trade bait if he plays well. If you get Bradshaw, grab Vick Ballard a few rounds later as well.

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
This article details strategies on article marketing for beginners (and all levels of experience) and I'm hoping that it will make you realize how effective article marketing can be when used in the proper manner. Using good article marketing strategies can enhance your readership, create a following and increase visitors to your sites.
Here's several things every article marketing beginner really needs to know. Keep on reading if you're interested...
The 3 main reasons for doing article marketing are:
# 1 - Get a lot more backlinks
# 2 - Get much more traffic
# 3 - Gain authority in your niche
Below, we'll take a more comprehensive look at these reasons.
Getting Backlinks
Any article that you write to promote your web site should be developed consistently around specific key phrases or a key word expressions. Google has created a helpful resource to assist us in finding key phrases particular to your specific niche that people are frequently seeking. It's called "Google Adwords keyword tool".
This whole process of keyword research requires the utmost care. Several newcomers to the field of internet marketing fail to grasp the fact of the importance behind key phrases and their use.
Key phrases that are searched most regularly usually have the highest competition. Our aim will be to identify lower competition words or phrases - perhaps looking for keywords that only get about 5000 searches a month. The Google keyword tool will tell you if the competition for phrases is high, medium or low.
We propose beginning in the medium range and using this little trick to figure out the "true competition". Type into Google, allinanchor: "Your Keyword Choice" (with the quotes) and press Search. The results will show how many times the particular keyword has actually been used in a secure text style.
If the number is considerably lower than the number of searches returned by the Google keyword phrase tool, you've hit the jackpot. Go on and capitalize on this as soon as possible by writing posts and articles with those keywords in the body of your text, the title (if possible), and in the anchor text you use for backlinks.
Driving Traffic
If you submit well-written articles to article marketing directories you will have the opportunity to leave a link to your website. Some article directories let you leave up to three links. Don't just link to your home page, link to the most relevant content, wherever it is on your site.
One of the 'king's' inside the article directory world is EzineArticles.com. A real human being will read and analyze each article you submit. At times due to this editorial approach it could take ten days or so to get your article authorized - or denied.
Sadly, there are a lot of low-quality article marketing web sites. A bunch of newcomers to the industry of marketing will certainly fall into the trap of producing bad-quality articles (or they spin them until they become incomprehensible gibberish) and submit those articles to these sites.
Don't fall for the trap of using low-quality article marketing websites! Go for the 'gold' and use the higher quality directory internet sites - they provide the most traffic and give your website more authority when that site backlinks to yours.
From here, this leads onto ...
Creating Authority and Readership
Why do we write articles and blog posts? So they are read! Bear in mind that you need to write these posts for people, not for the search engines. The search engine cannot appreciate your captivating writing, only genuine people can.
When you develop a relationship with your readers by means of your articles, this bond is considerably stronger than any search engine ranking.
If another website or directory uses your articles they will have agreed to use your name and backlink to your website, and you will benefit by having his readers and traffic come over to your site.
It's even possible that some of those readers will share your article on a social media website! Unexpectedly, your article just went viral.
The point of article marketing in this way is to get the word out that you are a specialist in the field you are discussing, and your information will always be intriguing and interesting. This can and will build a readership if done appropriately.
What you do, what you write, how you write, how typically and so forth, are all variables that express your business in a good or bad light on the internet. So make sure you do the best you can - and then do even better!
While this may seem easy to you, the outcomes of effective article marketing strategies will not come over night. Being dedicated to writing and being consistent over time is just what will build your audience.
Of course, you will have to satisfy your market and give them exactly what they are looking for. However if you do this correctly, it is exceptionally advantageous strategy for article marketing for beginners.
It takes time to understand the best way to write articles and titles that attract readers. It also involves in-depth analysis to discover who exactly is your target audience and what are they searching for.
Monitor your results from the articles you generate and you'll come to understand which headlines, titles, topics, and so on, attract the most readers. Once this is identified you must repeat the pattern as it works and gains you readers, traffic and authority.
This was about article marketing for beginners and hopefully you now know a thing or two about effective article marketing strategies.
