A shared supportive reality experience is another one of my complex metaphysical theories. These concepts come to me as the result of inspired thinking, or based on my impression of events in which the principles I am describing have revealed themselves. The shared supportive reality experience is in no way a psychological principle and should not be construed as such. I consider myself a metaphysicist or metaphysician, so I relate my experiences according to metaphysical philosophy.
I am basing the shared supportive reality experience concept on existing theories such as the idea that human beings are conscious co-creators of reality. The fundamental principle I use as the basis for the majority of my metaphysical theories is the widely accepted idea that thought creates reality. The human mind is a conscious creator which generates thought forms. These thought forms go on to manifest in what we perceive as physical reality. Other times thought forms materialize in a nonphysical dimension.
I separate physical reality into two main types. First is the personal reality. Personal reality is the one which individuals perceive as the material world. Personal reality is built by the human mind through the interpretation of stimuli received from the external environment. The individual receives the stimuli through the five senses, and other less understood intuits. As the human mind analyzes, and interprets the information received from its senses, the reality creating process is engaged.
The second type of reality is the common reality or consensus reality. The common reality is the one in which all personal realities converge. The consensus reality is recognized by all members of an organized group who share common values and standards of conduct.
A shared supportive reality experience is one in which two or more people, a society, or even an entire race, link their personal realities together to create a group encounter. Members of the group contribute information from their own personal realities to support the common reality formed by those participating in the experience.
In the case of a societal shared supportive reality experience, the adoption of a reality by consensus requires that its members conform to specific rules. What this means is that an apple is an apple and an orange is an orange. Therefore, the reality creating activities of all conscious beings in a society must adhere to its rules. Observance of a society's rules is necessary for practical reasons. Members of society cannot interact meaningfully when one individual's reality disrupts the consensus reality. Personal realities, which do not comply with the reality creating rules established by a society, will conflict with other personal realities. This creates confusion for its members.
My understanding of the metaphysical nature of personal reality is that all experiences are considered as true and valid on a spiritual level. Therefore, no personal reality should be taken as an imaginative invention of the human mind. Even the most bizarre realities being expressed by an individual has validity on a spiritual level. This condition cannot be understood by using one's intellectual ability. The expressions of a person's reality may originate from a number of places, such as past lives, extra-dimensional existences, higher energies, divine beings, and other nonphysical sources.
Individuals form shared supportive realities to carry out specific reincarnational plans made prior to the current incarnation. I call this pre-life designs or planning. Pre-life designs are a complicated matter. In most cases, shared supportive realities are the result of contracts between individuals who agree to perform specific roles in each other's lives. This arrangement is made for the purpose of creating tests and challenges. I would call this a joint venture. These joint ventures are usually formed because of past-life experiences. There may be a need for two or more people to work on a particular issue that was not resolved in a previous life.
There are other reasons for an individual to enter a shared supportive reality experience. The person may be cooperating with higher beings and divine sources seeking to effect changes in the global consciousness. This is a complicated matter for which I do not have sufficient knowledge to explain.
Often times, individuals come together to form an unconventional shared supportive reality experience. This situation occurs when two or more people unconsciously form an agreement to support each other's nonconforming expression reality. There are many reasons that motivate people to enter into these validating contracts. Their motives are always needs based. It is usually the result of a person's needs not being met elsewhere in his or her life. These situations typically occur between vulnerable individuals suffering from various forms of trauma.
The kinds of shared supportive realities created in these situations can be as simple as a person attempting to get emotional validation. They can also be quite complicated and involve the participation of large numbers of people. Again, the claims made by members of the shared supportive reality experience are valid and true on some unexplained spiritual level. These are not false realities as some professionals would tell us. Again, this is purely a metaphysical explanation of the group dynamics I am describing.
All members of the shared supportive reality receive some personal benefit from the experience. Each member of the shared supportive reality interprets his or her experience according to his or her own needs. This group dynamic works well when each member is being validated in their experience. The shared supportive reality experience continues to run smoothly as long as this condition is present.
Although I am explaining this situation in metaphysical terms, I realize that there is a psychological component to it. It may be this psychological aspect that brings people together. I believe that the law of attraction or some other universal law facilitates this process. The shared supportive reality experience occurs in all human relationships, not just ones that on the surface may appear dysfunctional.
Shared supportive reality experiences have many levels to them. The members may be attempting to resolve or improve on unknown past-life issues that may or may not involve other members of the group. The work of the members involved in the shared supportive reality experience is being done to correct issues in this life. This process is entirely unconscious, and members of the group are not aware of the spiritual objectives motivating them participate in the experience. Once again, the issues that arise from this experience may or may not have anything to do with the other member's reasons for participating in the experience.
The interactions that take place between members of the shared supportive reality experience may not be understood by the members of the group at the time it is occurring, but it often becomes apparent at its completion. The emotions and behaviors displayed by members of the group assist themselves and other members in their personal reasons for taking part in the experience. The interactions between the group's members help them become aware of certain conditions and issues that may be in need of improvement.
It should be noted, that depending on the dynamics involved in a particular group, some members of the shared supportive reality experience may derive more insight about themselves than that of members of the shared supportive reality experience. Each shared supportive reality experience offers new opportunities for self-growth because of the unique issues of its members.
Conflicts between members of the shared supportive reality experience will eventually arise. At some point, one member of the shared supportive reality experience will disagree with another member about the information being received. This is because his or her interpretation does not support the other member's personal experience. At this point, the shared supportive reality experience can no longer be maintained by its members. When this happens, the members of the shared supportive reality experience will become acutely aware of their role in the group dynamic. As a result, the individuals involved in the shared supportive reality experience will go on to form new groups.
The successful outcome of any shared supportive reality experience is that the members gain valuable insight into their condition and life's purpose. It many cases, a shared supportive reality experience, will allow one or more of the members to complete missions and overcome challenges that are part of his or her pre-life designs. This is the best possible outcome. However, the desired results are not always realized in these experiences. The conscious creator will continue participating in these shared supportive reality experiences until its goals are achieved.

Article Title: My Personal Experience With Role Models

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
One of my first "role models" was a charismatic pastor who served at a conservative Christian church. Out of respect for the pastor, he and his church will go unnamed.
I was an active member of this church in my early thirties. I admired this pastor for what I understood to be his possession of godly wisdom. I believed that he held the "answers" to life's most difficult questions. This pastor is certainly well versed in biblical teachings. He is also acutely aware that the members of his church see him in a superior light. Because of this, he has chosen to take advantage of the power given to him by his congregation.
I had two experiences with this pastor that drove me to rethink my high regard of him. The first incident occurred when the pastor exclaimed that dogs do not go to heaven. He rationalized this opinion to be a fact because dogs do not have the capacity to accept Jesus as their savior. I found this to be an absurd statement. I may be biased in saying this. Anyone who has visited my website knows that I am fond of dogs. Therefore, I did not appreciate his remark. In fact, I took offense to it.
I intellectually reasoned that dogs possess the vital essence (life) as much as humans do. If this is true, then dogs must have souls. Therefore, dogs must go somewhere upon their passing from this world. In my mind, it is irrational to believe that an animal's essence disappears into oblivion at their death.
The next experience led to my swift departure from the church. This incident came about when the senior pastor posted an announcement for a men's social gathering. This supposedly festive event included a lobster and steak dinner at a cost of ten dollars (surf and turf). Who could resist such an offer?
I soon learned that the pastors had a hidden agenda in mind for this social gathering. In the middle of the event, a presentation was given concerning the dangers of Internet pornography. The pastors had recruited two male church members to give their personal testimony on how Internet pornography ruined their marriages.
The senior pastor recommended that all of male members of the church put blocking software (supplied by the church) our computers so that they could not access adult websites. I do not surf adult websites. Even if I did, I feel that it is my prerogative to make that decision. I do not need religious leaders or anyone else assuming control of my thoughts and behavior.
Moreover, I felt the personal confessions of the two men was unnecessary and in poor taste. What happens in a person's marriage is his or her private business. It is unnecessary for people to disclose their personal matters in public gathering, especially at the urging of a religious leader. It must have been embarrassing for these men to proclaim their guilt before the other male members of the church. I know that I was uncomfortable hearing it.
I do consider myself a Christian. I'm sure there are devout Christians who would unequivocally state that I am not as I am not actively involved with a church. I have good friends who say this. I have read the Bible from beginning to end. I find this sacred book to be full of practical wisdom. Jesus Christ imparted wonderful lessons to the world. His lasting presence in the world changed it for the better. I might add his words have been misconstrued and misused by many societal leaders and groups as a means of furthering their wicked schemes. However, this topic needs to be covered in a separate article.
This next story concerns my experience with a prominent Spiritualist pastor. As in my last story, I had a falling out of sorts with this person. Please understand that there are several Spiritualist organizations operating in the world. As is true in my last story, I am not targeting the Spiritualist religion as being morally deficient. Nor am I criticizing the pastor involved in the story that follows. This story represents my observations and personal interpretation of what transpired between us. I am passing judgment on no one.
My wife and I were driving an hour and a half once a week to attend the pastor's mediumship training. This pastor is a highly respected leader in the Spiritualist movement. I can personally attest to the accomplishments he made in advancing the cause of Spiritualism. His work has personally led to a significant expansion of the Global Consciousness.
This pastor readily admits to having an over-inflated ego for being granted his lofty status. No problem. The majority of us possess unrestrained egos, including me (at times). We all need to tame our over-ambitious egos, and do so without eliminating them. We need our egos to navigate our way through the physical world. The ego is the interface between the mind and the external environment.
This pastor is passionately opposed to the Christian religion and its doctrines. On one occasion, he stated that a person cannot call himself or herself a Spiritualist if he or she accepts the word of the Holy Bible. I took issue with his provocative remark. I feel that people should be free to believe whatever they choose.
One night the pastor was giving a lecture on universal law. During this discussion, he made a comment that Jesus Christ could not possibly have walked on water as stated in the Bible. He reasoned that such an act would violate the immutable universal laws. Because I have a tendency to take issue with people who I feel are entrenched in their views (I'm a smart ass), I spoke up and said that God designed universal law; therefore, God has the authority to suspend them in order to allow for miracles. I continued to say that perhaps Jesus was held above the water by angels. I realized this was an inflammatory comment. Although the pastor did not respond to my comment at the time, it was indirectly brought up later in words of anger that led to our parting ways. In hindsight, I should have been respectful of his views. After all, it was his show.
The lessons I took away from the three incidents I just related are this:
1.The people we put on a pedestal and choose as our role models do not possess any more of an understanding of the mysteries of life than any other living being. We are all learning. The lessons we learn from our experiences are meant to improve our character. We are beings in pursuit of perfection. Because this process is continuous, there is no ideal state. The perfection we seek is in the change we experience. This truth tells us that the perfection we seek is in the moment. Hence the expression, "the present is perfect."
2.I realized that the mistake I made in my encounters with these two pastors, was in the way I reacted to what I felt were their offensive statements and reckless behavior. I believe I have learned to allow people to have their beliefs in spite of my disagreement.
I now realize that it is not for me to judge whether a person's beliefs are valid. It is only for me to evaluate the information I have received, and decide whether or not to adopt them as part of my personal belief system. I feel this should be done without coming into unnecessary conflict with the other person over matters that are full of speculation, and are of little importance in the grand scheme.

David Almeida will be appearing on Life Mastery Radio with Todd Alan www.lifemasteryradio.net for a guest interview on October 1st at 10:00 am Pacific time.
This article was originally written by a press release service for the purpose of announcing my guest interview on the show. I revised the wording to be more in line with own writing style.
Metaphysics is a branch of philosophy that attempts to explain the fundamental notions by which people understand the world. These are things like the existence of this world and the beings that inhabit it, objects and their properties, space and time, cause and effect and the results of performing various actions. It essentially seeks to find answers to two basic questions. What is the true nature of reality and what role do we play in it as spiritual beings? A practitioner of this little-known science is called a metaphysician or metaphysicist. Practitioners like Todd Alan who have gained a unique perspective of the universe are now using modern technology, like blog radios to share that knowledge with millions of people across the world.
Many of these practitioners have been attracted to the supernatural from an early age. They have delved into the supernatural arts and studied out of body travel. The people who take up such work subsequently find that they are blessed with a unique view on the nature of reality and a rare insight into the human condition. It has been concluded by such people that human behavior and psychology have an important role in the development of metaphysical theories. Studies on this subject reveal new insights every day.
Ordinary people are constantly seeking new ways to gain a better understanding of the world around them. They seek answers to mysteries that have perplexed them for a long time. It is not unusual to find them tuning into shows like Todd Alan with Life Mastery Radio to gain knowledge into the subtle ways in which this universe works. One of the beliefs that are held by practitioners of the spiritual sciences is that the physical health of a person has to be in optimum condition for an individual to be at his or her best. Physical well being is essentially a state where the body and mind are in perfect harmony and this state is reached through homeostasis. The body and the mind seek to develop the homeostasis naturally. But this state cannot be achieved unless the individual has complete command over not only his or her physical self, but also the spiritual self.
It is not difficult for people to get their hands on inspired books on this subject or listen to shows like Life Mastery Radio. There are many people who pay close attention to what the guest speakers on such shows have to say. The speakers on Life Mastery Radio discuss how it is essential for a person to have exceptional personal qualities in order to enjoy good physical and spiritual health. One of these qualities is integrity. If a person does not have excellent integrity then he will not respect his or her self. If an individual has no respect for himself or herself then this person will be in constant conflict with the body. This person will subsequently lose control over his or her bodily processes, leading to disease. Honesty is one of the most important qualities that a person should possess in order to achieve a state of harmony. It takes listeners a long time to imbibe the qualities recommended by the guests featured on Life Mastery Radio. But at the end of the day, the effort is worth it.

Magazines are a popular form of entertainment and education. Some people read magazines purely for entertainment purposes and others read more technical magazines as a means of staying abreast of changes that are constantly occurring within a given profession or as a way of educating themselves about a certain topic. Almost everyone subscribes to at least one magazine and many people have magazine subscriptions to several different titles at any given time. Therefore, magazine subscriptions are an important part of an individual or household budget. In addition, many companies that produce magazines offer discounts to certain individuals as a means of remaining competitive in the market.
Many magazine publishers offer subscriptions at discounted rates to certain individuals who qualify for these discounts. Typically this involves trade publications of one type or another, and people who are involved in that particular trade are often eligible to receive magazine subscriptions to these titles at dramatically discounted rates, sometimes even at no cost it all. Therefore, it is important for individuals who are involved in a particular profession to examine the possibility of whether or not they may qualify for discounted magazine subscriptions. These publications can provide valuable information about issues that are occurring within the profession, and therefore they are an important educational tool for individuals involved in that particular line of work.
Magazines are printed on such a wide variety of interests that it is possible to find a magazine about virtually any topic that a person is interested in. The question is not so much of whether or not there is a magazine that exists which caters to a given interest, but rather how many venues in a given region are willing to carry that magazine. Many times the selection is severely limited even in major metropolitan areas.
Therefore, individuals who have a unique interest in something that is not mainstream may find that they have to have magazine subscriptions purchased in order to receive magazines that cater to these interests. A quick search of the Internet including the interest in question and the term "magazine subscriptions" will usually turn up more than one result. Individuals can then find out how to subscribe to that particular magazine and have the convenience of it being delivered directly to their door as opposed to driving all over town trying to find something similar.
Magazine subscriptions are typically fairly inexpensive. While some magazine publications are more expensive than others, the cost is usually less than $20.00 for a 12 month subscription. This is much cheaper than purchasing a magazine off of the newsstand and paying full price. Therefore, it saves a great deal of money to purchase magazine subscriptions if it involves publications that an individual is interested in reading on a regular basis.
These cost savings, coupled with the added convenience of not having to go in search of a favorite magazine each month, make its much more sensible to purchase magazine subscriptions as opposed to paying for a variety of magazines from a bookstore or similar venue each month. In addition, the publication company often allows first time subscribers to subscribe at a lower rate for the first year. It is fair to say that purchasing magazine subscriptions is one of the cheapest and most effective means of both entertainment and education.

There was once a time where a computer was only used in special professions. They were about six feet tall, and had to be plugged into about thirty outlets. Later came out desktop computers, big and bulky. Those go thinner, then got less popular. The reason people rarely have desktops now is because of laptop computers. These are mobile, more advanced, and a whole lot simpler.
Like most products laptop computers come in many different shapes and sizes. There are net books which are some of the smallest laptops. Then there are your regular standard sized laptops. There are also notebook, these are bigger than most laptops. Each of these have different uses. There are also new laptops which can detach from the keyboard and become an Ipad type device.
When it comes to buying a laptop computer there are two main brands. There is a PC which is also known as Windows, and the second most known brand is a Mac which is also known as Apple. When searching for a laptop, both of these providers do what most popular products do. They say they are better than the other. When searching for a laptop it is a good idea to get a third persons point-of-view from someone who has bought that certain laptop. That will tell you the good and the bad, let's face it, you will not be able to find a computer without any faults.
Another big thing that people consider before buying a laptop computer is their price range. People either determine their price range, then look for all computers within that price range before making their decision. Others, usually people who have had a laptop before or have a reason to prefer a brand; will choose the brand of their laptop then choose their price range. A price range can greatly narrow down the choices you have to make.
Not everyone looks for the same things in a laptop. Some people want a certain speed for their processor, a gamer will want a faster processor over someone who is using it to write a book. Another thing is the total amount of storage you have on your hard drive. If someone is planning on downloading a lot of things onto their computer then storage is an important thing. Another thing is the overall size of the computer. College students usually have smaller sized computers.
Laptop computers are the most advanced computers to date. Their will be more advance ones that will come out, and more after that. For now, this is what we have to worth with. People have different opinions so they will want different things for their computer. There are so many different computers out there with so many different features, and brands. Overall the computer that someone will get is one that fits their personal needs. A gamer is more like to get a computer with a fast processor than a college student who is just using it so that they can take notes and write papers.

Reading is something that many people do to pass the time as well as to educate themselves about a given subject or to entertain themselves when they have a few extra minutes. It is also something that many individuals do as a way to relax at the end of a long, hard day. The one constant certainty is that there is a book that speaks to every person on some level.
Regardless of what your particular reading interests are, it is always possible to find something that you will enjoy reading. This is especially true when you buy books online because there is a much more vast choice of books that are typically available for purchase. While it may sometimes be difficult to go to the local bookstore and find a particular book, when you buy books online you can usually find virtually anything you want.
In addition, many people read books electronically than they used to. Just a few decades ago it was impossible to read books digitally and now that is the most popular way of purchasing books. Therefore, much of the traffic that exists for book purchases has transferred to the online market, as it is much easier to buy books online that are in digital format and have them automatically sent to your particular device. While it is possible to drive to the bookstore and order a digital copy of a book, it is simply much more convenient to make the purchase online and have it downloaded instantly. Therefore, many people rarely travel to the bookstore but instead make the decision to buy books online almost exclusively.
Another advantage of buying books online is that the books can often be found much cheaper when purchasing them in this fashion than when buying books from a bookstore. This is true of books that are in both digital and print formats. Typically, books in print format can be purchased for a lower cost because used books can be easily found when purchasing online, thus effectively reducing the cost of the book to only a few dollars in many cases. Moreover, digital format of many popular titles can be purchased for a fraction of the cost that is involved in purchasing the same book in print format. As a result, many individuals make the decision to start buying books online as a means of saving money.
As the popularity of purchasing books online continues to increase, there are fewer brick and mortar bookstores that are available for customers to visit. In addition to the convenience that is provided through online purchases, this single factor means that more people buy books online now than ever.
When all things are considered, such as the cost savings and the increased availability of books that are typically hard to find, there is little reason why a person would not choose to buy books online. Therefore, the popularity of purchasing books in this fashion is likely to continue to increase in the future, especially as the number of books available in digital format continues to increase.

Office supplies are an essential part of being able to do business. Even people who only send a few cards or letters each year that are of a personal nature and are sent from home need basic office supplies. It is essential to have pens, paper and a stapler on hand at all times. Almost every household is also in constant need of copy paper and ink for printers. Therefore, it is important to purchase a small amount of basic office supplies even when they are only going to be used for the home. Without them, it would be impossible to do something as simple as sit down and write a note or make a grocery list.
Offices of all types require much more in the way of office supplies. Everything from major corporations to the smallest charity organizations need office supplies. It is essential to purchase organizational tools as well as supplies for printers and copiers. It is equally essential that there be a good supply of paper and pens, as well as staples, tacks and tape. A good stapler and a good tape dispenser are important tools to have at one's disposal as well. The major difference between the supplies that are ordered for a large office as opposed to those ordered for a smaller office is the number of supplies that are ordered on a regular basis. The type of supplies is usually fairly constant.
Purchasing office supplies is typically a fairly straightforward task. It may be accomplished by visiting a local office supply store or it may be easier to purchase office supplies online. Many offices use this method because it is less time consuming than sending a staff member out to purchase supplies at a store. In addition, larger companies that allow both individuals and corporations to make their purchases online typically have both a larger selection and better pricing because they are able to make their purchases in bulk. Their ability to get office supplies at cheaper prices often means that those savings are transferred to the individual buyer of supplies when they are needed.
Many office supply stores also allow the purchase of other necessities such as basic cleaning supplies as well as toiletries. This increases the convenience of purchasing office supplies from a company that has all of these products available so that they can be purchased together. This requires less time to be spent on the act of making the purchase and also reduces the shipping costs that are associated with the purchase because all of the items can be ordered at once and shipped together rather than independently. Therefore, purchasing supplies from a company that has a wide array of products available for purchase and sells them at a fair price allows both large and small offices to spend a minimum amount of time on ordering products while saving money on the products themselves.
Every business is attempting to save as much money as possible on needed supplies. It doesn't matter how big or small a company is, it is equally important to save money. Saving money on office supplies is one of the most effective ways to reduce the overall operating costs of the business. Therefore, it is important to purchase office supplies from an organization that is both reliable and reasonably priced.

Article Title: Grand Canyon Helicopters Offer Fun and Thrills

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
The Grand Canyon is one of the world's most beautiful places. You can explore it on foot or by car. But if you really want to capture the essence of this natural wonder, you've got to take a helicopter tour.
Big Park
Know how big the National Park is? Try more than 1 million acres. That's a lot of wilderness, and much of it's inaccessible. Unless you fly over it in a chopper.
There are two places where you can catch a helicopter ride. Las Vegas is the most popular, and then there's Tusayan, AZ, home to Grand Canyon National Park Airport (GCN).
There are numerous air tour companies in Las Vegas, and each departs from different airstrips, including ones on the Vegas Strip and in Henderson, NV, and Boulder City, NV.
From Las Vegas
Naturally, if you leave from the Strip, you'll pay a premium for the convenience. If you depart from a Vegas suburb like Boulder City, you'll lock in the cheapest rates (the drive from LV to Boulder is about 30 minutes).
Las Vegas helicopters fly direct to the West Rim, which is a smooth-and-easy flight that takes about 45 minutes. Helicoptering to the South Rim is impossible as this destination is 277 miles from the City of Entertainment and out of reach of choppers.
The cool thing about the West Rim is that it's the only place in the whole National Park where you can take a chopper to the bottom. To do this, you need to select a landing package (versus an air-only trip). The most popular trip in this category gives you 30 minutes at the bottom and comes with a Champagne picnic.
Boat Ride & More!
Other landing trips that I like include taking a steel-pontoon boat down the Colorado River or the Grand Canyon Skywalk. If you're not familiar with the glass bridge, it's the internationally famous attraction that lets you stroll over the edge on a deck of glass until you are suspended 4,000 feet over the bottom.
Air-only flights from Vegas are great, too, especially for travelers who are pinched for time or who can't afford a landing trip. Like the landing tours, aerial trips go over beautiful Lake Mead and stunning Hoover Dam before hovering over the Grand Canyon and making the return passage back to Vegas.
South Rim helicopters all leave year-round from Tusayan (yes, even during winter!). Only aerial tours are available. This is because flying below the rim is prohibited by the National Park Service (NPS). That's all good and fine because the aerial options are superb. Choices include a 30-minute ride or a 50-minute one. From my perspective, I prefer the longer tour because it lets you see nearly 75 percent of the Park in under an hour!
Conclusion
I hope this article helped you understand your options when it comes to seeing the Grand Canyon by helicopter. You can catch these thrilling flights from Las Vegas or Tusayan, AZ. Trips depart on the hour every day of the year. From Vegas, give strong consideration to landing tours as they are a better value for the money. If based in Tusayan, most definitely go with the 50-minute flight. None of this will matter, however, if you can't get a seat. That's why I recommend booking ahead of time. And, to save you some extra cash, purchase your trip online. Just remember to complete the transaction on the website in order to get the discount.

Article Title: How to Make Your Break Room a Real Break Room

Some offices have break rooms that don't seem too inviting, and this can stress out those working in your office more than they already are in the first place. Here are some tips to get your workers to actually take that needed break in the break room.
The first thing that is important is to have a little bit of décor. Some plants or subtle design elements may really help workers feel more relaxed, and gives them something else to look at that isn't paperwork or a computer screen. Get décor from an office supply dealer for office-appropriate pieces.
The next thing to do is make sure the break room feels comfortable. Consider looking at office furniture dealer and consider buying a few comfy chairs for employees to lounge in at break time. Remember, the goal is that if the employee has a good break, he or she will get back to work at their full potential. You don't need to overdo the break room, but just enough is well enough.
Another good idea is to buy some snacks for the break room. There's no need to serve up a luxury meal or anything, but having some packs of snack crackers or cookies may not only brighten your workers up, but may also make them like you just a little bit more. You can buy bulk snack items from an office supply dealer such as OfficeSalesUSA. Also make sure coffee items are well in stock. Office workers love their coffee, and having creamer, stir sticks, and sugar are sure to bring people into the break room at some point during the day. Small gestures like this show your workers that the break room is a place to take a short rest, and small gestures like this definitely boost morale.
The next tip is to make sure you have appropriate appliances that cater to your employees. Obviously, a coffee machine will be a big hit, as well as a microwave and a fridge. Other things you may want to consider are a toaster oven, and a toaster. These simple appliances can make the break room seem more homely and restful. Ultimately your break room should feel like a nice living room and half-kitchen combined. Make sure all your appliances are easily accessible too.
The last tip is to keep your break room clean. No one is going to want to take a relaxed break in a room that is messy or dirty. You can hire a cleaning crew, or do it yourself. If you use OfficeSalesUSA as your office supply dealer, you can buy any cleaning supplies you might need to clean around the office or in the break room. Keeping a clean break room may also encourage your employees to keep the office and break room clean which can be a definite plus.
Hopefully these tips and suggestions will help bring out the best in your employees! If you are unsure of what your employees want in their break room, you can always ask!

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
I'm back to work after spending 12 glorious days at the NY State Fair – a high point of every year for me. Before I left, I posted a message to my subscribers asking if they are a victor or a victim of this economic downturn. I got a lot of response to that email.
Today, I'm posting the comments from one of my SuperStar subscribers, Dan Page. One of the things I like most about Dan is that he's not just a talker, or a whiner – he's a doer; an action man. The action people are the ones who are doing the best in these rough times. They try one thing. If it doesn't work, they try another, and another and another until they have success. One of my favorite quotes is from Muhammad Ali: "I doesn't matter that you were knocked down 68 times. The only thing that matters is that you stood up 69 times."
So, here are Dan's comments:
Hi Paul,
Good email. Hope all is well with you. Just had to respond with a short story that would be of interest to you.
I believe the underlying skill of knowing how to get publicity can permeate your life and provide you with insights & opportunities that the average "turtle" would never notice.
Here's an example:
I was talking with a client of mine recently who does business with large internet publishers. He helps to monetize their websites by delivering advertisers who want to get in front of their audience. I asked him if any of his clients have subscriber lists that they are not monetizing to their advantage.
The short answer was "yes".
So we reached out to one of them, and offered to clean up their list (unsubscribe, old email addresses, etc.) at NO COST. In return, I wanted to learn about their audience and put offers in front of them that would be of interest.
So we did just that.
I surveyed their list and asked them what they were interested in. One of the questions I asked was if they would be interested in learning about how to "Create and Sell iPhone Apps" (since this is such a hot topic now). An alluring percentage of people answered "yes".
So I went out and found the top guy in the industry that teaches people how to "Create and Sell iPhone Apps", and partnered with him.
We presented a webinar last Thursday eve on this very subject. Response was very impressive.
In the last four days (since the webinar) we've generated $19,000 in Gross sales ($66 per attendee) and expect to hit $30k – $40 by Friday, when we intend to shut it down.
I'm sharing this for two reasons.
1.) This is the exact same mindset I use when writing press releases. Thinking about what my audience wants. In the case of a press release, my "audience" is the reporter. In this case, my "audience" was (a) the list owner and (b) the subscriber. Just gave them what they wanted. Same skill as generating publicity. Just different audience.
Turtles don't think that way.
2.) My (subscriber) audience is also interested in learning how to create their own business repairing iphones and other electronic gadgets. We are currently in the process of creating a monthly subscription product for them. We've recruited some gadget geeks to do the gadget repair part, and I will be doing the "how to create a business" part. This may very likely lend itself to an opportunity to promote a stellar publicity expert.
Know anybody that fits that description?
3.) The "How to Create and Sell iPhone Apps" webinar was so successful, I am taking it out on the road. Already have three list owners interested.
It's me, Paul, again.
How's that for taking action, being creative and not becoming a victim of the economy?
When I asked Dan for permission to reproduce his comments, he agreed and added this:
"ABC news called and is interested in doing a national story on my son's 'PopcornForHungryKids' program. Bringing out a film crew and following him. We'll see!"
You've got to love the guy.

Article Title: Are You Being Called Up to the Big Leagues?

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
Only a very small percentage of people will be called up to the "big leagues". Will you be one of them? Will you know how to recognize the call and how to act on it?
Last night Mary and I got to talking about people who are doing good work in a particular area, be it marketing, publicity, dog rescue or whatever. Many years may go by. Or maybe just a few months.
Then they get the call to the big leagues.
The "big leagues" may mean a whole lot more money. Or a ton of fame and other recognition. And it comes in enormous proportions, very quickly.
I got called up to the big leagues in 1995. I had been doing publicity work since 1983. Then, in 1995 the fuse was lit on my Saturn 5 rocket. My income went crazy. My name spread around the world. Speaking engagements were coming my way faster than I could accept them.
Why did this happen? Who knows. More importantly, who cares.
It happened.
The most important thing is that I recognized that I was being called up to the big leagues and I answered the call.
Only a small percentage of people get called up. My estimate is that about 2% of people in any field get "the call".
Sadly, many of these people either don't recognize the call – or they don't act on it.
Mary and I were talking about the call because right now she's being called up to the big leagues in the dog rescue world. She's on the doorstep of enormous fame and influence in the dog rescue world. This is what she's been dreaming of all her life. Now, here it is. She has to decide if she's willing to act on it.
Opportunities are going to open up for her. Nationwide – and perhaps worldwide – recognition is hers for the taking. All she has to do is act on it.
So how about you. Have you already been called up to the big leagues? Did you recognize it? Did you grab the opportunity when it presented itself?
If you haven't been called up yet, will you recognize it when – and if – it comes? Will you act on it? Will you take full advantage of the opportunites that will come your way?
Remember, only a very small percentage of people will ever get the call.
If you've been working as a file clerk in an insurance office for the past 12 years, you're not getting the call. So don't waste any time listening for it.
But if you've been moving forward in your business or field. If you've been trying different things to get ahead. If you've stayed on top of developments in your business or field. If you have a bigger vision of success beyond simply making more money – keep listening. You could get the call any day now.
Don't worry, when the call comes, you'll know it. Don't let it slip by. It won't keep cruising around the block waiting for you to hop on. It'll move on to the next person, waiting to see if he'll jump on.
If you go through your entire life without getting the call, I truly feel sorry for you. In my opinion, getting the call, acting on it and using the perks of "the call" to accomplish more in life than you every thought possible are all the very reasons you're alive.
When I got the call, I quickly realized that all that money was coming at me for a reason. It wasn't simply to buy more cars, more homes, more jewelry. It didn't take me long to realize that some of the money was mine to have fun with. But the majority of it was to be used to make an impact on the world.
My choice was to use the money to make big changes in the lives of abused and abandoned dogs. I've already dedicated millions of dollars to rescue and animal welfare efforts. Millions more are to come.
What are you going to do with the money that comes your way when you answer the call?
Better give that some thought. The call could come at any time.
Hey wait a minute. Do you hear something? Does it sound like the big league calling? For your sake, I hope it is.

Article Title: Are You Enjoying Life Or Are You Still Hunting for the Magic Formula?

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
It's been a while since I've written a new article. No, I'm not working on a new project or product. Truth is I've been floating in my pool, spending loads of time with my dogs, reading by my pond, going to minor league baseball games and completely enjoying life.
How about you? Are you completely enjoying life or are you still hunting for the magic formula? Well, there is no magic formula. The entire "secret" is:
1 – choose a business idea to try
2 – completely focus on learning what you need to know to get this business up and running
3 – take action
The place where so many people go wrong in this formula is…well, it's steps 1, 2 and 3.
They may claim they can't think of a business idea to try. Aw, mule muffins. I can't stop thinking of ideas to try. I wish I had sixteen lives to work on them all. I don't think it's that people can't think of ideas. I think it's that they come up with a list of reasons the idea won't work, even before they try. There are stacks of books full of business ideas. The Internet is loaded with them. Ideas and opportunity are all around you every minute of every day of your life!
Then comes step 2. This step separates the men from the boys. Focus. It's where the vast majority of people stumble and fall. They can't focus.
Once every month I have a live coaching call for my newsletter subscribers. There are people who've been on these calls for years, but they still haven't written even one press release. It's not that my system doesn't work. Of course it works. It's been around for over 20 years and has a long list of huge successes.
The problem is that as soon as these people get off my call, they get on the next person's teleseminar or coaching call and then the next person's and the next and the next. They're scattered all over the place. They salivate every time they get an email talking about the newest, "greatest" way to hit it big. And, instead of focusing on one thing and working it until it produces results, they run here, there, up, down and all over the place chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Unfortunately, rainbows only last a very short time. Then they disappear. So, the person selling you the newest miracle way of getting rich did get rich. But you got poorer. Did I hit it big and get rich? You bet I did. But it's not because I kept chasing rainbows.
Now don't get me wrong. I continue to invest in my education. This month alone I spent many thousands of dollars on other people's products. But NOT because I want to establish a new business or try some new scheme. I buy other people's products because I know they'll help me build and improve my publicity business.
I bought a full day of consulting from one marketing "guru" I have a great deal of respect for. I know my investment will be returned to me many, many times over.
And then, finally, there's step 3 – taking action. Once again, this is a huge pothole on the road to success for most people. I'm going to reveal a little secret to you. Yes, I've been enormously successful in business. I've made a fortune and I've helped a long list of other people become wealthy as well. But there's one place I've failed. For most of my life I've wanted to be in a classic rock band. I play a bunch of instruments, but I don't play them well enough to make the cut. Why not? I failed over and over again on steps 2 and 3. I haven't focused enough time to practicing and I haven't taken enough action to get the band up and running.
So don't think that I have a flawless life. Far from it. But I do have a life that 99% of people alive today would envy. It's all available to you. Just pick an idea to try, focus and take action.

Article Title: Are You Worried Your Press Release May Offend People?

Richard Layman and Wendy Guenther both brought up similar topics I want to address. Richard wants to know about the risk of offending people by doing controversial things like name an ice cream flavor Iraqi Road (which I mentioned in an earlier article).
Wendy brought my attention to a controversial issue that made the news. A potential juror in a British Court was dismissed for wearing a T-shirt from French Connection UK with its FCUK logo. French Connection has benefited tremendously by taking the controversial action of creating that logo.
In my opinion (and in my life) when you constantly worry about offending people, you sacrifice your life to every one of the 6 billion people on this planet. It's just not possible to avoid offending people. Some people spend their entire day just looking for things to offend them. If necessary, they'll even make up a reason to be offended.
Reporters love controversy. It's one of the most powerful ways to getting publicity. But there are risks involved.
Don't take a controversial or offensive position simply to get publicity. It'll bite you hard and cause you more problems than you want.
Don't take controversial, potentially offensive positions if you are too thin-skinned to put up with the possible reactions.
Only take a controversial position if you truly believe it and support it.
Several years ago when I was promoting my book "How to Be Outrageously Successful With the Opposite Sex" I sent out a press release with the headline:
"Sex Book Expert Tells Women to Wise Up and Stop Whining!"
The point of my story was that I know exactly how single women can get an endless parade of dates with men they're interested in. It's easy and incredibly effective.
But they don't do it. Instead, they moan about how they're alone. Makes no sense to me!
That press release got a fast and furious response from the media, especially from women reporters. But, when they heard the details of my story, they changed their tune and booked me for an interview. The honest ones even told me that what I was saying was right!
Some people cater to others because they want their money. They live in fear of offending people and losing their money. So they'll listen to things that truly irritate them and say nothing. They'll deal with customers who should have been tossed long ago. They'll even say they agree with things they find repulsive – all for the fear of losing money.
Now some of you may want to avoid offending people out of respect. That's fine and I certainly agree.
But many (most?) people live in fear of offending people because of what they'll lose. Most often that's money.
If you truly believe in something and you're willing to deal with any negative reaction that may result from your stand, controversy can be an excellent way to get publicity, customers and respect.
If you are concerned about offending people, don't want to deal with the reaction to controversy or just don't feel the need to enter or start a controversy, this clearly isn't the way for you to go.
Controversy is risky, but it can have huge benefits. Do you use it or not?
That's got to be your decision.
This reminds me of one of my favorite sayings – "When you live in fear you die a thousand deaths. When you live in confidence, you die just one."

I may lose some author friends because of what I'm about to say about authors. But I'm going to tell you the straight truth, as I always do.
First, let me say that I am one of you. I'm an author too. Search Amazon and see how many books I have there. I'll save you the time – there are 85.
Being one of you, I want the best for you and I want you to be on the right path. But you're being taken advantage of. For the most part, it's your fault.
Authors are prime targets for people who market a whole variety of products and services. Some of these products and services are worth far more than they cost. But many of them are just short of worthless. Some of these people actually prey on you. So why is this your fault? Because you've completely wrapped your ego around your book.
Some time ago I asked all of my newsletter subscribers what I can do to help them become more successful. Authors made up a large percentage of the people who responded. One of the most common comments I got from these authors went something like this:
"I have a story that must be told. If I could only get my book into the hands of people everywhere, it could make enormous changes in the world."
I could tell that many of these authors think they are the next Stephen King.
They aren't.
They think they have the next NY Times bestseller.
They don't.
They think they have information that everyone needs and must have.
Not a chance.
It's one thing to do everything possible to make your book a success. It's a whole 'nuther thing (I love that term) to wrap your ego around your book.
Your book is a marketing tool. It's not your child, your baby or any other part of you.
Writing your book was not a labor of love, a trial by fire, or a brutal experience. If you think it was, you're a Drama Queen, even if you're a man.
Sure, you're proud of your book. I'm proud of every one of my books. But I savored that feeling for a few minutes, then I got to work to make them successes.
Out of all the authors I heard from recently, only one impressed me – that being my consulting client Alan Davidson. Alan sent me one of the clearest, most concise, focused plans for making his book a success that I've seen in a long time.
Almost every other author sent me an impassioned plea to help "get the word out" about their masterpiece; the manuscript that will save the world, if only people will read it. If only a publisher will stop what he's doing and dump tons of time and money into getting it into circulation.
Unscrupulous marketers know that your ego is tightly wound around your book. Because of that, you're easy prey.
Everything I write in my articles has a publicity lesson. This diatribe is no different.
Many authors have difficulty when it comes to getting publicity. They shouldn't have difficulty, but they do.
Many of you authors have been told that it's difficult to get publicity for your novel, your book of poetry, your children's book, your textbook, etc. You've been told that only non-fiction books get the big publicity.
Absolute nonsense. People who tell you that simply don't know how to advise you to get publicity. I don't care what type of book you've written, I can advise you on how to get publicity.
The problem comes when many authors write their press releases and do their interviews. To be down-in-the-street honest, many authors sound less than sane and focused when they try to get publicity. As I mentioned earlier, they feel their book will save the world, will revolutionize life as we know it, will make medical breakthroughs unknown to science. They come off as kooks at the least and total whack-jobs at the worst.
Actually, they are neither. They are overly-enthusiastic about their book. Their ego is tightly wrapped around the book. They don't see their book in the proper light – as a very important marketing tool that represents them.
Every one of you authors, regardless of the type of book you've written, has loads of publicity opportunities. It's your responsibility to make the most of those publicity opportunities and to represent yourself as a sane, well-spoken, informative authority on what you wrote.
Now those of you who aren't authors are saying: "I'm not an author. What does this have to do with me?".
All you have to do is change the word "author" to the word that represents your business and everything I just said pertains to you.

Article Title: How to Lose 50 Pounds Quickly and Safely

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
To lose 50 pounds is never an easy thing to do but people have done it before you, so it's entirely within your power. I say this only to be honest with you: you have to be committed to the plan and the goal, but you can succeed if you set your mind to it. I can only suggest a way in which you can do it. If you are otherwise healthy, many experts agree there is no reason why you should not try to lose weight quickly.
To lose 50 pounds fast, you need a diet plan which will provide a fast and continuous weight loss. Fast because you want to get thin as soon as possible and because the fast weight loss will motivate you to stick with the plan. It should be continuous because it takes time to lose 50 pounds and you want to lose as much as you can in one attempt, not yo-yo up and down. Yo-yo-ing is actually worse for you than losing weight quickly.
To achieve this you will need a diet which will work in the long term and not just in the short term. That's why you need to be extra careful when choosing a diet to follow; it has to be one you can follow more than a couple of weeks. Quite frankly, almost any diet will do. It's the reduction in calories that will cause you to lose weight. Pick a low calorie plan that contains foods you can see yourself eating for a while. Diets like a cabbage soup diet or grapefruit diet is not a good idea if you do not like cabbage soup or grapefruits!
The difficult part of losing 50 pounds as fast as possible is the hunger and cravings that will result with the drop in calorie intake. First, accept the fact that these are two normal side effects of a reduction in calories. It's our body's way of telling us to eat more because it doesn't want to use our stored fat. You have to keep it up though so that your body is forced to use stored fat. That's the fat you want to get rid of! For this reason, I recommend using a tool that will help eliminate hunger and cravings so that you are able to stay on your diet. Diet pills will do this but I don't recommend them. It seems like most diet pills run through a natural cycle of approval, use, bad effects, recall, and withdrawal from market. I recommend a natural food product such as one of the cookie diets. I make this recommendation because cookie dieting will eliminate hunger and cravings so that you can stay on a low calorie diet. Ultimately it is hunger and/or cravings that make us fall off our diet and give up. If you use a program like cookie dieting, the cookies will take care of the hunger and cravings and you have just won more than half the battle!
How does this diet work? On a cookie diet program you eat about 6 of the hunger-fighting high protein/fiber/whole grain cookies throughout the day and a sensible, low-calorie dinner. This results in a daily calorie count of around 800 to 900 calories. Of course, you could eat more calories and slow down your weight loss, but this article is specifically targeting losing the weight as quickly as possible.
How much can you lose with this diet? It really depends on your starting weight and a lot of other factors like how strictly you stay true to the plan. If you are very overweight and you stick to the plan, you could lose 50 pounds in as little as 4 months which is very impressive. You may lose even more weight initially if you limit carbohydrates. A recent study showed that combining cookie dieting with a low-carb diet such as Atkins® resulted in greater weight loss than simply dieting alone.
If you are otherwise healthy and you've made the decision to lose weight quickly I have offered at least one way to do it. It's a good idea not to exercise during this phase of your diet. Exercise is good for you and good for your heart, but it doesn't help much in weight loss. Ever heard the phrase "work up an appetite"? Exercising will make your body want more to eat which is counterproductive to your goal here. If you seriously tackle this, it won't take long to lose the 50 pounds. You can then work on developing some kind of exercise programs that works for you. You will feel better too!
