"Gourmet Kitchen" is one of the most over-used and inaccurate descriptions utilized in the residential real estate sales industry. In this context, gourmet kitchen is often used to describe a kitchen with an island, or a kitchen with a pot rack suspended over the island. I wish these people would be honest and reserve that term for a kitchen that is designed for a professional chef, or at least a homeowner who creates a vast array of culinary delights.

Now that I have thrown down the gauntlet, let me resolve this problem by defining exactly what a gourmet kitchen is. According to dictionary.com, a gourmet kitchen is one which is "elaborately equipped for the preparation of fancy, specialized, or exotic meals." Just because the kitchen is large it doesn't make it a "gourmet kitchen." If you have ever peered into the kitchen of a small, but high quality bistro, you know that "size does not matter."

Moreover, it is often the array and strategic placement of appliances and equipment that defines a "gourmet kitchen." High-end refrigeration units which allow for segmental temperature and humidity control are essential to maintain the freshness of refrigerated items. Sauce preparation demands that a gas cook top be provided to allow for maximum heat variation with instant heat adjustment.

A gas, convection double oven, which may have an infrared char broiler, is an appliance you would expect to see in this type of kitchen.

Because many different dishes may be prepared simultaneously, a warming drawer is essential. Also, a high quality microwave is also essential for the culinary master. Pot filler faucets installed behind to cook top are often used for convenience and to eliminate the need to carry a large, heavy pasta pot filled with water from the sink to the stovetop. A large sink and dual dishwashers are often mainstays of the gourmet kitchen.

Experienced cooks often use a variety of pots and pans and storage for these is essential. Overhead racks or storage cabinets are both suitable alternatives for this purpose. A gourmet kitchen will have a vegetable prep area with sink, disposal and readily available, or built in, cutting boards or mats. Experienced culinary experts utilize several types of cutting boards. Designated boards/mats may be used exclusively for beef, fish, pork and vegetables.

A vast array of spices may require readily accessible storage racks or shelves. Spice racks may be mounted to the wall adjacent to your mixing and cook top areas or may be located in a base cabinet vertical pull-out spice rack. A pull out drawer can be fitted with a spice organizer or spices may be stored on a rack fastened to the back of an upper cabinet door.

Most real estate salespeople go out of their way to provide accurate information to prospective buyers. If you are working with a real estate salesperson who advertises a home with a "Gourmet Kitchen" you are now prepared to ask if it has the features described above.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

There is so much being spoken about the shift from traditional trainer-led classroom training to wherever possible replacing it with e-learning and other web-based training methods.

When it comes to a trainer's business, it is certainly worth exploring, as these developments put the traditional trainer's business at risk. The traditional training market is worth £10-£20 billion in the UK alone; whilst e-learning is still a fraction of that – but we cannot ignore that the gap is narrowing fast!

The shift is partially due to the severe economic downturn; though in truth that has been the catalyst. The public sector as an example, is being so abruptly starved of resources and money, they are being forced to urgently implement time shrinking, money saving alternatives in all aspects of the business, irrespective if they work or not, and on the face of it e-learning ticks the boxes.

In so many cases e-learning is not working. Not because there is anything wrong with the content, or the system, but because of two points 1. It requires engagement of the learner, and 2. It is not the answer for all types of learning.

There is of course a longer term need to change the face of learning to be more aligned with the new world we are all beginning to embrace. That is a world that knows no boundaries; where technological changes mean we can work, rest and play from anywhere in the world on an equal footing. This means the way businesses do business has changed forever; and it changes the way staff in those businesses work and learn. The greatest challenge for learning professionals is getting the blend of learning right in terms of the learner's experience, and in productive, measurable output.

    Web-based trainer-led sessions

Web-based training, with the support of a remote trainer uses the internet for delivery of training content and allows remote learners to access to information anywhere and anytime from any device. They often collaborate and share ideas via e-mail and are able to correspond with the trainer for clarification of concepts. Group discussions can be mediated by the trainer and facilitated in real time via chat services. Online training allows instructors to individualise learning, rather that delivering information to an audience. Of course in this instance, each learner is interacting with their computer, and are not physically present in a group – which for certain types of learning (like transformational / soft skills) is essential (back to this in a moment).

So overall, web-based training is more affordable than traditional trainer-led classroom training, but not as cheap as e-learning.

In the cold light of day, to the financial director, classroom training is a very costly business that requires highly paid trainers, time out of the business and back resourcing. As business becomes increasingly manic, driving no-shows to become more common, the race for more workable and sustainable alternatives is on.

As trainers we need to explore where we fit in to the future blended learning landscape. The classroom is not obsolete, and in many cases it is still one of the most effective training methods available; primarily because we learn more effectively in groups. The ideal classroom experience however, should be preceded by successful completion of a web-based programme of study to introduce the material, so that everyone will be prepared for full participation and no one slows down the rest of the class.

Any classroom training experience should be enjoyable and productive. The traditional classroom of more information provision will be abandoned in favour of more conceptual based learning, provided through experiential activities, with very little or even no lectures.

This shift from information to conceptualised learning and from traditional classroom to web-based learning begins to put the onus of the responsibility for learning squarely on the shoulders of the learner. The more this culture is embedded, the more it changes the role of the traditional trainer, and therefore the traditional trainer's business, so we must be willing to change with it.

The evolution to web-based group training

At Café Style we only design conceptual training programmes and activities. Though this is not traditional training, it can and does take place in groups, and often in a classroom (although it is more informal). Our research has led us down a new path of the virtual classroom in order to combine the critical need for group based training that is proven to be so much more effective, with the business need for bite-size chunks of learning, and the drive to save money on travel by utilising the key benefits of the web.

The result - we are now conducting training live and virtually, but with groups. This requires all the skills of great classroom training and much more besides, as we are not there in the room with the group.

Virtual Café Style trainers – the world is just one big classroom!

    global classroom

We can conduct Café Style activities with a group through the use of web-cams, and for bigger groups through live stream technologies, anywhere in the world, one group at a time, or on mass!

Exploring how traditional training consultants can leverage the wonders of the web and new conceptual methods of training, like Café Style is essential for any traditional training consultant. Technology may be slowly reducing the need for the traditional classroom, but it does not have to extinguish the traditional classroom trainer.

We will be happy to share how it works with any trainers who would like this explore the idea of virtual Café Style group training; do get in touch info@cafestylespeedtraining.com.

In the quest for greater physical fitness it can seem that there are many obstacles. At every turn there seems to be a system one needs to purchase, or a gym one needs to attend, or specialized equipment, or any assortment of expensive and confusing possibilities. When the choices become overwhelming, it is a good time to ask if fitness gains can be had without all of the extraneous gear, techniques, and teachers. The answer is that it can, in a much simpler fashion. As an example, here are some simple ideas on how to build muscle without weights.

Using weights can be difficult if not dangerous. To gain access to a wide variety a membership to a specialized gym is often needed. To work out at home, the equipment needs to be procured. These options take money, time, and if working out at home, space. But they are not always necessary.

If one wants to reach competitive levels of body building, then perhaps, but if one simply wants to add mass and increase definition, definitely not. There are a great many tried and true exercises that have been done for ages that will provide results. These results can be reached quickly, fairly easily, and most importantly, safely. At the outset, however, before embarking on any dramatic health change please consult a qualified medical expert for advice.

As to the exercises, there are many, but for the beginner it may be best to focus on a simple few. For overall mass there are two practices that will work for almost anybody. These are utterly simple, and can be done almost anywhere. The first is swimming. Swimming will work every muscle group in the body simultaneously and is ideal for toning and weight loss. The only difficulty may be in finding a proper body of water and having the requisite weather.

The second best, and even more accessible, practice is walking. Walking will work many of the bodies muscle groups simultaneously, especially if one is mindful to swing the arms vigorously while walking. The best thing about the practice is that it truly can be done anywhere, by anyone, at any time. Walking needs no more than a decent pair of shoes, if even that. Walking may well be the finest single exercise available to us all.

Added to one, or both, of these routines, the exercises are ones that most will remember from some point in their lives. The first, for the upper body, will be push-ups and pull-ups. Pull-ups will require some sort of a bar to grasp, but even a tree branch will do. Push-ups can be done with a variety of hand positions for better results. Both will build mass in the upper body very effectively.

For the core area - the stomach, lower back, and buttocks - sit-ups remain an excellent choice. The classic version works fine, as does the more modern styled crunches. These can also be done almost anywhere, by anybody, and at any time. There is nothing fancy about them at all, and repetitions can be increased as fitness levels increase.

For the lower body, there are classic lunges and squats. All of these simple exercises can be done as an answer to how to build muscle without weights. Again, the results may not reach the tremendous size of a professional body builder, but they can certainly increase mass, tonality, and overall fitness levels simply and easily.

The Grand Canyon attracts very many tourists per year. It is one of the most famous natural wonders of the world and it has some views that are breath taking. It is about 277 miles in length and 18 miles wide. It is approximately 1 mile deep. There is a lot of room to cover and many lookout points. If you want to tour the Grand Canyon helicopters are a good means of transport to use.

There are many different air trips. There are basic air tours as well as landing tours. Basic tours are available at the Rim on the South as well as the West Rim. They take tourists over the National Park and through landmarks that are important. The landing air tours go to the Rim on the West and they involve landing at the Colorado River boat rides, bottom of the Canyon as well as the skywalk passes.

Flights to the West Rim take off at Last Vegas while those headed to the Rim on the South depart from the Grand Canyon National Park Airport. Air tours are available every day of the year. They are more frequent during the major holidays when the tourists are more. Traveling by helicopter is perfect for those who have limited time to experience this wonder of the world.

Landing tours are great for those who want a more detailed exploration. The longest landing trip takes about 6 hours. Though helicopter rides are more costly than bus tours they are worth every coin. West Rim tours come in an all inclusive package that includes lunch for people who are landing, hotel shuttle services as well as navigation from a professional pilot.

Flights to the South Rim have no opportunities to land. The tourists must also find their means to the airport. It is about 10 minutes from the lodging at the National Park. There are some items you might want to take with you when going on a tour in this area. It is advisable to have a camera with you. This will allow you to record wonderful views that you never witnessed before.

Other than the majestic views you will get an educational session during the tour. Many companies that offer air tours also have professional guides to accompany the tourists. They will share their knowledge about this great wonder.

Before choosing a tour company you need to research well. Use the internet to get information on the helicopter tours. You can visit the official website of the Canyon first before proceeding to the tour operators sites. Look out for special offers. You will definitely save a lot on your trip by booking well in advance.

You are likely to find better deals when you book early. Make sure that you book a flight at least 3 days before the date you intend to depart. The best flights take off before midday when visibility is excellent and the smoothness of the air is guaranteed. There are many Grand Canyon helicopters all year round. All you have to do is compare different firms that offer aerial tours and book in advance.

Kettlebell exercises are real for both men and women. Their popularity can be attributed to the many health benefits that they come with. If anything, the workouts provide simple performance and can be done from literally anywhere. With the help of a kettlebell DVD workout becomes even easier as one can get started on their own. In a nutshell, the videos have adequate information that are helpful to anyone keen on learning.

For those that are just beginning, a kettle bell refers to special training equipment that resembles a bowling ball, just that unlike the bowling ball, it has a handle. The device has different weight limits that depend on the user and their level of their experience. Men and women have different kettlebells. Owing to the fact that naturally men are stronger, their minimum tools tend to weigh more than those of females. With the DVD, there is more information and guidance as regards safe weight training.

One should start by lifting weights that are light of course. With time and as their body adapts, they can opt for heavier styles. The specific facts can be gotten from the videos. Starting with heavier weights could possibly make the workouts less effective.

Before rushing to buy the DVDs, it is important to know what the workouts are all about and the benefits that can be derived from them. Because the exercises are a little complicated, gritty and tough, beginners are asked to be especially careful. They may end up with muscle aches. Just like other forms of aerobics, kettlebell exercises must be approached with the right techniques for best results.

Buying the DVDs and performing the workouts from home is an option that most people prefer. The techniques have to however be performed in the right way. These devices require strength to handle. They have their roots from Russia where for many years they were used by lifters.

Kettlebells offer all benefits that a dumbbell has to offer. In addition to that, they have several other benefits. Their thick handles require individuals to have strong grips. Further, where the weight is located relative to the thick handle demands that one has a strong hand if they are to maneuver it while working out. This allows for better ballistic movements and swinging.

Of one decides to purchase the DVDs and get acquainted with the exercises, they need to check the credentials of the expert that recorded the videos. This is because these exercises are very different from other forms of exercise in several ways. Thus, the aerobic expert that recorded the DVD should not only be certified but should also have an exceptional track record. If this is followed, then one is sure to benefit by developing endurance, strength and strong grip.

With a kettlebell DVD workout becomes much easy. There are various types of kettle bells. The most common perhaps include solid cast iron, mostly Russian made tools that are of different sizes. They are recommended for people that are looking to achieve general body fitness and those training for sports. Just like other forms of exercise, the DVDs would give best outcomes if used with consistency.

Article Title: Who Hates Hype – And Should You Care?

For more than a decade, I've had a listening post up on this topic, observing wailing and head-scratching on both sides. On the one hand, many marketers model and advise weird, emotion-soaked headlines, fast-talking superlatives, hard-to-believe claims and a tone of carnival-barker excitement. Anything goes, as long as it converts. Indeed, for this crowd, response data rules, and they're genuinely bewildered why anyone would take issue with what works.

On the other side are organizations who refuse to post content with that tone, experts who deploy hype but confess their embarrassment with it and clients who email me, "Please, can you write something I won't be ashamed to use?"

To be clear, we're talking about headlines like these (with text that continues in that tone):

Who Else Wants a Tsunami of Traffic?

Killer Blogging Tips From the Genius Who Slays Doubters for Breakfast

Annihilate the Competition With These Seven Game-Changing Social Media Moves

Four types of people tend to recoil from that approach.

    1. Ex-academics and highly educated folks who subscribe to The New Yorker and listen to public radio. These sophisticates feel the hypey style of marketing is low class and not worthy of them. In their minds, using it would be like shaking hands with a reporter from the National Enquirer. Also included here are many Europeans brought up to admire restraint who find this style overwrought and overly American.

    2. Introverts. Self-reliant men and women who hang back from showing off in front of others and who don't strive to outdo the Joneses dislike hot air and hoopla in behavior and in prose. No matter how much you tell them it works, they can't bring themselves to embrace hype.

    3. Socially conscious and heart-centered entrepreneurs. Touchy-feely types who wear environmentalism, compassion, political activism or spirituality on their sleeves shudder at the aggressiveness of hype and prefer a softer, gentler approach. Writing in a voice that fits their values matters greatly to this group.

    4. Organizations with a sedate image to maintain. Direct-response writers moan about these kinds of clients, who may refuse even to test copy that seems undignified or smarmy. Organizations whose credibility lies in a somewhat conservative persona may be right to put their image first. According to James Hale Sr., a marketing director at the Mayo Clinic, his hospital experimented with "sensational, shout-out copy" but found it lowered response, because it clashed with what the public expected from an A-list medical institution.

Are any of the above categories of people your target market? If so, you may find more success in the lower-key approach the Mayo Clinic kept to after its experimentation. If not, then you may be better off studying the masters of hype and adopting their techniques.

Don't be a mindless copycat. Don't be intimidated by successful people who insist you can find your audience and cash in only by following their lead. Find the tone you can live with and that makes the cash register ring because your customers enjoy it.
