Going to the Grand Canyon by helicopter is one of life's greatest thrills. And now there's a way to get these flights at a great rate. The secret? It's all about the timing.

What exactly do I mean by that?

Well, as many in the industry know, the travel industry is seasonal. In the case of the Grand Canyon, summer is the popular time to go and winter is the "low season."

Now here's the interesting part. In order to fill seats from November through February, tour operators drop the price. Makes sense. But more interesting is this:

Purchase a flight now for 2014 and get the ridiculously low 2013 winter rate.

Of course, this requires some planning on your part but by taking action like this you can save big bucks on all aspects of your trip (eg hotel, shows, etc.).

Some will object and say "What if my plans change?" And that's a great question. The solution is to make sure you book your flight with a company that offers a rock-solid cancellation policy.

The best ones let you cancel your flight all the way up to 24 hours prior to take off. Further, if there's a weather issue, the best companies will reschedule your flight for the next available time or later that week or refund you money.

Grand Canyon helicopters depart from Las Vegas and Grand Canyon, AZ (actually, there are two names for it: Tusayan or South Rim). Both locations offer flights daily. There are usually no flights on Christmas Day.

Las Vegas helicopters take off from The Strip or from Boulder City. If you take a Strip departure, you'll pay more because it's more convenient. Thus if you are on a budget, I recommend you go the Boulder route.

From Vegas, you can take either an air or landing tour. The former is the cheapest option and the latter the most expensive. I like the basic air tour, especially if you want to quickly sample the canyon.

However, my preference is for landing tours. Why? Because you get to land at the top or bottom, exit the aircraft, and experience the canyon from the ground up. My particular favorite is the one that lands at the bottom.

But what makes a Vegas landing tour so special? The fact that helicopters can fly below the rim and land on the bottom. You can't do this anywhere else in the National Park and that's what sets them apart from the pack.

The South Rim, which many refer to as the "official" Grand Canyon, is where you go for incredible views and scenery. Vegas helicopters can't reach this destination, but there is an airplane tour that makes the trip in less than one hour.

Thus the majority of South Rim flights are air only (and none go below the rim and land). In this case, I always recommend taking the 50-minute flight because you see nearly all of the park. There's really no other tour that does this.

    Conclusion

I wrote this article specifically for folks planning to take a Grand Canyon helicopter tour in 2014. I know it sounds like I'm way ahead of the curve but my point is this: Those who purchase their tour now get the low winter rate versus the high spring and summer rate. And, based on my experience, the difference in pricing is significant. So are the savings.

Article Title: The Importance of a Dishwasher Cleaner

A dishwasher cleaner and detergents are important and necessary parts of our kitchen hygiene. You cannot avoid these products whether you dishes are washed manually or in a dishwasher.

We use detergents on our dishes, but it is important to know if they are working as well as they should be. It is important to consider the ingredients in these products if we haven't before and to learn about possible side effects that can be caused by using them. As people are becoming more aware of household health hazards, there are doubts about the toxicity in cleaners.

After dishes are washed by detergents, a few of them leave a residue behind on the surface of dishes that can be consumed the next time these dishes are used. Some detergents have disinfectants that can be harmful to skin or that can emit gases that are not good for the respiratory system and could cause allergies.

After use, detergents flow down the drain. They have to undergo chemical treatment in sewage plants before they are released into waterways. Most of the toxic chemicals are neutralized during this process and are harmless. A few chemicals may still remain and could cause environmental pollution.

We need to learn more about the effects of detergent by analyzing the ingredients that most commercial dishwasher detergents are made of like Chlorine, Phosphates, and petroleum-based ingredients.

Phosphates are used to soften water. They help detergents to clean better and are a great marketing tool. On the other hand, they can cause health problems and are not good for the environment at all. Phosphate residues on the surface of dishes can cause diarrhea, nausea, and skin irritations. Phosphates continue to be active after they are treated at a waste water facility. They enter waterways and encourage an overgrowth of algae to occur. This reduces the oxygen in water and can result in harming living organisms in water like fish.

Chlorine bleach is used in detergents because of its disinfecting properties. It is highly corrosive and can cause many health concerns like skin and respiratory conditions and even stomach problems. When combined with other types of cleaners, it will produce toxic fumes that are proven carcinogens and pollutants to the environment.

Petroleum based ingredients can cause problems for both the environment and people's health. They can have toxins that cause unnecessary health problems. During production petroleum based products also pollute the environment.

The residues that are left behind on dishes that are cleaned by detergents may not be noticeable at first. Over time, these toxins can get absorbed into people's system. This can happen more often when hot foods are eaten with them. These toxins can add up in the body and cause serious problems such as infertility, birth defects, and even cancer.

You can avoid these dangerous cleaners and use a safe dishwasher cleaner that is environmentally friendly. You can find products in the market that will work well and that are not health risks. It is not that easy to spot them though amongst products that can look deceiving. Follow these rules to find a safe product.

Watch out for products that are labeled as green, eco-friendly, or natural. Instead, look for labels that read Phosphate-free or no chlorine. You should also read the ingredients in these products to make sure that there are no bad chemicals in them. Stay away from products with petroleum and triclosan.

If you discover ingredients that have long and confusing names, contact the manufacturer with any questions. If you get a reliable answer, use the product. If you do not get a good answer, the product could be a fraud.

Life consists of a series of daily fast-paced races. Numerous tasks must be completed within the brief periods of "free time" that dot any given weekday. Household chores like cooking and cleaning can consume large amounts of that free time. In fact, statistics suggest that the "average" household dedicates between 1 and 2 hours every day just to clean up after each meal.

This fact is a primary cause of the widespread popularity of dishwasher, especially among families where larger meals are served that require more dishes. A dishwasher requires only a few moments to load, and saves enormous amounts of water and heating energy. Most modern dishwasher units clean dishes much better than regular hand washing, while also saving lots of time.

How do families identify the best dishwasher to meet their particular needs? The best way to start is by evaluating exactly what the household will require. For instance, is the sink typically piled high after every meal? Or is there just a few cups and plates to wash during the day? Will the need to sanitize arise? Does the family wish to wash pots and pans while still conserving water? Opting for a dishwasher that features a range of washing options is the ideal way to meet the demands of any size household, but where does one begin to search for such a machine? Bosch makes a line of dishwashers that feature a broad range of options and price levels for those wanting a dependable machine.

Most Bosh models have a "Quick Wash" feature for completely cleaning crockery in less than a half hour. There are also adjustable settings to accommodate various load sizes and save water on fewer dishes. Most Bosh units may also be programmed to complete tasks while the family is away at school or work, and most also have flexible basket configurations that allow full loading of a machine before it is turned on. Currently, the Bosch line of dishwashers also includes Slimline dishwashers designed to deliver maximum performance and user freedom, alongside conventional dishwasher models. All are available as either built-in or freestanding models; some feature the Bosch "ActiveWater" technology that provides substantially less energy and water usage with the delivery of superior cleaning performance.

Every segment of the Bosch dishwasher line has three formats of available models: the Logixx, Exxcel, and Classixx. Each of these feature varying options. However, even the Classixx - the most basic and least complex model - is equipped with flexible settings and options. Standard settings include residual drying, anti-flood mechanisms, programmable wash cycles, easy-to-see LED indicators, time delays, and quiet operation. When seeking a dishwasher capable of meeting the needs of a busy family, it is a good idea to start by browsing through the numerous Bosch dishwasher reviews featured online to learn about the many valuable options and broad variety that Bosch dishwashers offer. The manufacturer is on the constant look out for ways to improve the overall efficiency of its machines and Bosch dishwashers are consistent recipients of many positive consumer reviews and Energy Savings Trust recommendations.

If you want to buy a new refrigerator, you are probably excited to start shopping. Before you begin your search, you might want to first consider the places where you are most likely to find new and used refrigerators for cheap prices. The best place to buy your fridge depends on your specific needs; thus, this should be taken into account before leaving your home to go shopping.

If you desire a fridge that comes with many features, local appliance stores are your best bet. These outlets boast an enormous variety of options that range from the most common to the newest ones that offer different features for each brand and newer features for recently-produced models. If you are uncertain as to what you really want in a fridge, this is the place to go to browse many items and get info on what you really need and want in a fridge.

When visiting huge warehouses, the sheer number of options available to choose from might annoy you and hinder your decision-making. Make a least of all desired features and tick those you want before you begin shopping is the best thing to do.

Some people need an immediate replacement for a fridge that has stopped working or become irreparably damaged. Most households want the best deal for their money, especially when such an unplanned expense is necessary. When this is the situation, looking for used refrigerators or new ones on sale in discount stores is a smart strategy. Such establishments offer a broad range of inexpensive household products and most of them have been deeply discounted at some point in time. Find out where such stores are located in your area.

For those who count every penny they spend, garage sales may be a good alternative. If using pre-owned appliances does not bother you and your budget is very tight, the time freedom to look for cheap items on sale is what you really need. Provided you have enough patience to scout around and get up early on weekends to begin your hunt, you have a strong possibility of getting the best refrigerator you want at a low price. This is the surest means of finding the best deals where you can also locate units with the most features at a lower price. Sometimes, online stores also run advertisements on behalf of people who want to sell their own refrigerators. Judging from the displayed pictures, you can readily determine if you want the unit and arrange to meet the seller and buy the fridge if it suits your needs.

If a cheap refrigerator is among the products you have targeted to buy for an immediate need, consider the places where you can find one for the lowest cost and select the unit that best suits your needs and desires. Make a list of the features you require in a fridge before you start shopping. This will enable you to get everything you want in the appliance at the lowest possible price.

One of the best options out there for a stove is a two burner propane camp stove. This is likely to be the most versatile choice for a smaller family who would like to do just a little bit of cooking while at their camp site. When you have two burners, you will be able to boil water, without having to do so over a fire. The following propane stoves have many similarities, though some of the brands have some different features. Certain ones are more convenient for certain families.

    Matchless Piezo Lighting

One of the most simple features on propane style camp stove is push button piezo lighting. When you have this, you do not have to deal with a lighter or matches. You will be able to get your stove running in no time. Be sure to look at reviews on different stoves, since this lighting works better on some brands than it does on others.

    Fold Up Wind Screens

Many of the propane camp stoves out there already contain a fold up wind screen in the back, allowing you to turn the stove's lid when you need to transport the stove. However, you can get one that has wind screens on the side, if you would like. When it is a windy day, you can cut your cooking time and end up having a quick meal with these wind screens.

    Integrated Grill

This feature is one which is optional, but it can be helpful for certain families. If you would like to grill a great deal, then consider having an integrated grill. This way, you will not have to use a separate grill or cook over the fire.

    Propane Conserving

You should look at options which are easy on propane. That way, you can save money and space in the car, as you will not have to transport a large amount of propane. If you camp a lot or take longer camping trips, then think about having your two burner propane camp stove adapted for a full size tank. Then, you can avoid having to take more than one propane tank.

Variable Heat Adjustments and Easy Controls

Search for a two burner propane gas stove that has easy to adjust controls which you can adjust finely. For several of the inexpensive camp stoves, there is not much control over flame. You may be limited to boiling water, basically. If you purchase one which is a quality portable gas stove, you likely will be able to cook on lower heat if you want.

Numerous propane camp stoves already have many of these features. However, you will want to look into what they have before you purchase a stove. If you end up with one which has all of the features mentioned above, you will be able to cook great meals at the camp ground. Be sure to look around the internet and narrow it down to a handful of quality brands and models before heading out to find your ideal camp stove.
