Losing your job unexpectedly can feel like someone punched you in the stomach. For a minute you can't breathe, you can't focus, and you can't really take in what just happened to you. Words may echo vaguely in your head…words like cutbacks, layoffs, closing down. But it doesn't make sense. Surely, there's been a mistake.
Then the reality hits you. Your job is over. Your paycheck is gone. And, you might wonder, who are you if you are not defined by your work?
Let out the physical pain. Even though your head is spinning, you probably have enough strength to clean out your desk or walk to your car. And you might phone someone. But about now, you start to break down. You may sob, you may scream, you may pound your steering wheel, and that's okay.
Don't try to drive. Just let out as much of the anger, hurt, and frustration as you can. Get out and walk around, stomp, kick or do something else physical that will release the adrenaline without hurting yourself or anyone else.
When you feel calmer, you can assess where you are and begin to move forward. But let that pain out first, or you will carry it with you, to resurface again and again.
Get past the blame. It is not unusual to want to blame someone or something for taking your job away…the leaders of your company, the economy, or yourself. You shouldn't beat yourself up for initially feeling this way, but don't hang on to it either.
Make a plan to meditate or exercise to calm yourself, before you have a chance to feel bitter. Be proactive about remaining positive. If you realize your thoughts are starting to turn to blame, you will have a plan in place to switch to forgiveness, acceptance, and gratitude.
Turn to your Source. However you define God, or your higher power, go there as much as you can. Meditate, pray, pour your heart out, lay down your burdens, and find peace. Keeping that divine connection open throughout your transition will give you strength and guide your intuition toward the right path.
Remember, losing a job does not make you a loser. There's a cliché that "someday we'll look back on this and laugh," and it's surprisingly true. Sometimes we need to be unsettled to find out what we really want.
Look at all your skills and talents. Look at all you've learned. Focus on all you have to offer, and all the great things you have left to do.
Get help wherever you need to. Use the tools on our website. Talk with trusted friends, or a support group. The loss of a beloved job causes grief like any other loss. But it can also open new doors, where you can create a whole new life.
Have you faced a job loss? What helped you get through it? We would enjoy hearing from you, below. And please share this on your favorite social media outlet.

None of us are strangers to stress. It's a fact of life. But do we really know how important it is to deal with stress when it happens, or the damage accumulated stress can do? Insomnia, binge eating, or pains in your neck, are only a few symptoms of chronic stress. You could be overly stressed and not even know it.
The effects of stress expand like a rolling snowball. Know how a snowball grows as it rolls downhill? Stress is like that. A little stress here and there may not feel like much, but left unattended, it can lead to serious health consequences.
Whenever we feel stressed, our bodies release adrenaline and stress hormones like cortisol. These are a life saver if we're in significant danger. But unfortunately, our brains don't distinguish between facing a deadline and facing an oncoming train.
Adrenaline raises our blood pressure and speeds up our heart rate. The Mayo Clinic reports that the release of cortisol alters our immune system and slows down digestive functions. This explains why cortisol is so often linked with weight gain. But stress hormones also slow down brain function. And fuzzy thinking when you need to be sharp just creates more stress.
No one symptom of unmanaged stress exists alone. Every effect of stress on our bodies is connected to other stress reactions, whether we feel it or not.
Increased blood pressure can lead to heart attack or stroke. Weight gain can lead to diabetes, coronary artery disease, and high blood pressure. Lack of sleep can lead to weight gain, which leads to…get the picture?
Diseases caused or aggravated by stress are connected like a spider web. Today's twinge can be tomorrow's debilitating illness. But only if you let it.
You can stop the stress web before it gets out of control. Spider webs start one strand at a time. They can become enormous, but if you sweep them up when they're tiny, they're no big deal. Think of sweeping out stress the same way. Tackle the small things and you'll have far fewer big things to worry about.
1.Meditate…soon and often. Slowing your breathing in even a quick meditation will keep you from hyper-ventilating when stress hits, and calm you down. Restoring calm reduces stress hormones, and helps you regain control.
Continued meditation practice over time can reduce blood pressure, relieve pain, and better prepare you to face future stress. It may even help you recognize when things are simply not worth getting worked up about.
2.Recognize how you react to stress. Become aware of your own personal stress responses. Anger, physical pain, anxiety, and depression are just a few ways our bodies react, and turning to food or alcohol for help just makes it worse.
Expel the stress by physical exertion, or calming techniques. Let go of any bad coping behaviors and consciously choose more positive ways to relax. This way you can beat the stress of today, and be far healthier tomorrow.

On November 16, 2013, Mike Chin, known for fusing the digital with the spiritual will be performing in concert at the Sydney Opera House with world music artist Mahmood Khan. This reunion concert, sponsored by isowmail, the world's first personal emailing system, will include live music by such artists as Tamasin Howard Australia's new singing voice; Australia's beating to the rhythms of Shaun Tarring; Joe Manton, where bass knows no boundaries and Maharshi Raval, Australia's most prominent tabla player. This one time reunion event should not be missed by anyone, whether you are young, young at heart or somewhere in between, this not an occasion to be missed.
Mike Chin, also known as a Digital Shaman, has performed with Mahmood Khan in the past. In August, 2011 on the Kerri-anne morning show, together with Tamasin Howard, Shaun Tarring, Maharshi Raval and Joe Manton. He played a live performance of Mahmood Khan's 2007 hit "Like the River". "Like the River" was originally recorded at the Sydney Opera House and a live album of the concert was released with the single going to number one on the Australian pop charts. The live musical performance that Mahmood played on the Kerri-anne show, along with Mike Chin and the other significantly talented artists, is what assured his notoriety in Australia. Mahmood was the first Pakistani artist to play live on Australian National Television and he took off from there.
It is simple then, to appreciate why someone like Mahmood would be drawn to someone like Mike Chin. Mike is a very enthusiastic man who is currently working as the Producing Artistic Director of Origin of O, which is a cooperative undertaking between the Digital Shamans and TaikOz. Using music to stimulate the soul and align the chakras, this group effort is sure to be a heart pounding, soul arousing encounter for anyone who wishes to experience it. As if listening to nature through technology, one only has to close their eyes while listening to truly feel the intense genius that is felt through the electronic artistic ability that is Origin of O, which is the project that Mike Chin is currently working on.
That is not to say that Origin of O is the only project that Mike Chin is involved in. A sound artist, such as he, has his hand in many pies, so to speak. Mike Chin is willing to really be out there and work with many different types of artists from the very famous to the lesser known. Letting each individual musician or artist create his or her own work of art. Tokyo Love-in began in January of 2010 and is still going strong for Mike Chin.
Another one of Mike Chin's projects is Plum Jungle. Started around the same time as Tokyo Love-in, Plum Jungle has been the winner of some very prestigious awards including: Nominated Best commercial, New York City International Film Festival 2011; Winner Award of Excellence The Accolade Competition, 2011;Winner, Certificate of Merit, Hugo Television Awards, 2011.

Joe Manton, a man where bass knows no boundaries is coming to the Sydney Opera House on November 16, 2013 for a one night only performance with world music artist Mahmood Khan. Joining Joe Manton for this one night event will be Australia's new singing voice, Tamasin Howard. Live music will be provided by such artists as Mike Chin known for fusing the digital with the spiritual and Maharshi Raval Australia's most prominent tabla player. Australia's beating to the rhythms of Shaun Tarring. This reunion concert will be sponsored by isowmail, the world's first personal emailing system.
For those unfamiliar with why this particular concert would be a reunion concert for Joe Manton, Tamasin Howard, Mike Chin, Maharshi Raval, Shaun Tarring and the incredible Mahmood Khan, let's take a small trip into the past. In August, 2011, these six incredibly talented musicians all appeared together on the Kerri-anne morning show. Together, as if the song had been written for them as a whole, they played Mahmood Khan's 2007 hit "Like the River" together. Now, once again, two years later, they are to be reunited again to work their magic on an audience of young and old.
Joe Manton has been playing bass for more than fourteen years, but has been immersed in the world of music for more than sixteen years professionally as a musician. He has been composing music for more than fourteen years as well. Joe has also spent more than twelve years teaching bass guitar, as well as classical and electric guitar, piano, not to mention composition, musicianship and music theory. It seems that Joe Manton has a talent not only for music and composition, but also a love of teaching and sharing his love of music with others by teaching music with students of many ages which is demonstrated by his style of teaching.
He encourages his students to perform at an end of term concert for invited friends, family and their student peers, which will help not only increase their confidence in performing in front of an audience, but also be able to show off their talents and skills that Joe has helped them to hone. Joe also offers to his students a chance to record a keepsake CD recording of their own talent, which not many teachers are able to offer, as Joe does have the equipment available in his studio. This along with educational textbooks, quite a considerable amount of listen-able music that he uses for teaching purposes and some audio/visual material as well.
To Joe Manton's credit, he has also been the winner of the Alan Zavod Jazz/Classical fusion award in 2008. He had First Class honors and a distinctive average when he got his Bachelor of Music Composition degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and he is soon to complete his Masters of Music Composition.
Joe's love and passion for music from composition to education to performance really makes him one of a kind, not only as a performer, but as a teacher as well.

It is important that you choose the right container hire services to ensure that your needs are met and your money is not put into waste. To help you choose the right container for your needs and the company to provide your container, here are a few tips:
* Consider your location - It is more practical to look for a company that is close to where you are for prompt and cheaper delivery. There are some companies who deliver for free and some charge a smaller fee when you are nearer. It would be best to compare prices of several local companies to get the best offer.
* Check the company's reputation - All shipping container hire service providers advertise their company as the best, but it takes more than an advertisement to prove that it's true. A company who has been in the business for a long time already knows the ins and outs of the industry and they will not sacrifice their reputation which they built for a long time.
* Compare prices - It would be a great idea to shop around and compare prices so you have an idea of how much a shipping container should normally cost. Although the cheapest is not always the best option, knowing the prices of different companies will give you a better edge when asking a company for a better deal.
* ISO standard - If you are going to use a container for transporting your goods, you should conform to ISO standard sizing to avoid issues with transporters. If not, transporters may not be willing to move your container.
* Find the right size for your needs - Shipping containers come in various sizes, from 10ft (3.048m) to 48ft (14.63m) long, 20ft (6.096m) is the most common size available. Ensure that you have enough space to accommodate the shipping container. You should allocate at least 1.5 meters of extra space on all sides to ensure it fits.
* Consider the Grade of the shipping container - Used containers come in different grades based on their condition: Grades A, B and C. Grade A means the container is in a great condition, almost as new. Grade B means the shipping container is still in good condition. Grace C means the shipping container is in a fair condition.
Depending on how you are going to make use of your shipping container, you should also consider any repairs or modifications that will be done on the container. If you are going to use the container as storage, you may need to modify the door and purchase new locks for security purposes. If you will use it as an office, you should consider additional costs for electrical, heating and cooling installation, repairs and modifications such as additional windows or doors, repainting and adding the company logo on the container.
Various containers for hire offer a different price range for their shipping containers depending on their condition. There are times when the difference between a new and used container is not that huge, making the latter a better choice.

The job of a firefighter would have been more difficult if they did not have access to fire fighting equipment like fire detectors, fire hydrant systems, and fire alarm systems or fire sprinkler systems or fire extinguishers and water spray systems. Being a firefighter and doing firefighting jobs is challenging enough and on top of that if the general public is a little aware of installing and using these, it makes things a lot easier for the general life of the community. But providing education to the people on how to use these fire fighting devices is also the responsibility of a firefighter.
A firefighter, apart from extinguishing fires, is also given the responsibility of educating the people in the community by providing education about how to use this equipment. Being a fire fighter entails one to take care of the various functions that come with the tag of being a fire fighter. What are most required are the passion and the perseverance to be a firefighter. Firefighting jobs are based on this simple condition. Without a passion for this profession, you would be bored and worked up about this job. This job is a high pressure one, which means that you would have to be always vigilant and on your toes to face any kind of situations.
A firefighter can only shine in his/her chosen job, if he/she has certain prerequisites like proper training, a clean record, physical ability and perfect eyesight. When you want to take up firefighting jobs, you would have to start early. As early as college, a student can start preparing himself or herself to be a firefighter by taking subjects such as emergency medical aid. This is important because the firefighters are sometimes the first ones to respond to calls of distress and provide immediate medical aid. In most fire training schools, the amount of time or hours that you have to put in are less compared to the semesters that you would take in college.
In firefighting jobs, knowledge about fire technology also goes a long way in making you better at what you do. It shows that you have been preparing seriously for this job role and also shows your commitment towards your profession. This knowledge also protects you from falling prey to any unforeseen accidents in the line of duty too. You should also steer to have a clean record and try not to commit any acts of domestic violence, misdemeanor or other criminal activities. Having a clean record ensures that you become a firefighter and a hero that you wanted to be.
The work of a firefighter is never easy. Other than the physical hazards of the job, it is important to have interpersonal skills too. You will be the first point of contact in these situations, between the victims and their family members, and hence a clear and articulate delivery of instructions is important. At the same time, a firefighter also needs to be accountable and honest in his job. Reporting incidents and preparing a detailed report about the cause of the fire, has to be completed with utmost integrity. A behavioral evaluation of the applicant should show that he is adaptable and can work under duress or stress.
It would be an understatement to say that a firefighter should be physically agile or fit to don his uniform everyday and go out to save lives. The work of a firefighter encompasses rigorous exercise regimen which strives at improving the stamina of the firefighters. Moreover, a fitter firefighter means that he/she can save more lives in a lesser amount of time and also save himself/herself from the face of mortal injuries. Since a firefighter is the emblem of bravery, courage and service, a person with a clean reputation and a good public image will always win the hearts.

The Grand Canyon is regarded as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. This landmark canyon is located in the state of Arizona. It is visited by thousands of travelers from around the world. There are numerous companies that offer guided tours of this area, and there are numerous bus trips available as well. The price of tours will vary.
Many companies offer travelers bus tours starting from the city of Las Vegas in the state of Nevada to Arizona. These buses may offer service to the South or West Rims around the canyon. During certain parts of the year, access to other areas around the canyon, such as the North Rim are available.
In both areas, there is plenty to see. One thing that makes the canyon so interesting is its size. It is 277 miles in length and up to 18 miles in width. Furthermore, its depth is over one mile. There is some debate among geologist regarding he exact forming of this landmark, but the Colorado River has run a course through this canyon for, at the least, 17 million years.
Those traveling by bus from Las Vegas to Arizona will have the opportunity to see the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge before getting to their final destination. Once they are at either rim, they are given a chance to explore. Most companies give customers a decent amount of time to do this and do not rush them. If you are unsure about the timing and possible restrictions, be sure to ask for more information from the providing company.
There are several points of interest in around the west rim of the Grand Canyon. Visitors may enjoy Guano Point and Eagle Point. People along the west rim may have a nice view of the Colorado River. Hualapai Ranch and Indian Village are other common attractions. Walking along the rim is a sight to behold, no matter what side you are on. Although this is not known for being the deepest or widest of its kind, the Grand Canyon is beloved for its natural beauty.
The south rim has just as much to offer. Individuals can go on tours and trips in the area, including mule and bicycle rides. There are camping sites for those who plan to stay longer. Furthermore, lodging, food and beverage, and other services and facilities are available for visitors. Watching the sunset at Mojave or Yaki Points is on the to-do list for many. These points are among the most panoramic viewpoints of south rim.
People who visit this area may want to further explore. Luckily, there are several bus services available to those traveling to and from Las Vegas. Find out all the details of services before booking. While enjoying the area, consider walking on the famous Skywalk, taking a helicopter tour, or hiking below the rim. All such activities are possible, but may come at an additional cost.
Safety should be a top priority when visiting the area. Be sure to read all the information regarding bus tours and visiting the Grand Canyon. This is a landmark that many consider to be a must-see during their lifetime. Compare and contrast the companies offering service to the area from Las Vegas.

This is a favored tour that is offered by many companies with helicopters for rent. The Grand Canyon is one of America's most famous national monuments. The Grand Canyon is the world's second largest canyon second behind the Tsangpo Canyon in Tibet. The canyon is considered to be one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
It is nearly three hundred miles long and over eighteen miles wide at its widest point in the Dragon Corridor. Dragon Corridor is also the deepest point in the canyon at a mile deep. The Dragon Corridor is named after a ridge that looks like a sleeping dragon reclining on the horizon.
You will view several formations called towers that are named after ancient Egyptian gods including the Tower of Ra. It is said that in 1909 a group of explorers found a series of caves the appeared to be man-made and that they contained artifacts from early Egyptian travelers. There were reportedly hieroglyphs as well as weapons and armor worn by these travelers. These stories tend to feed the theory of ancient alien space travel. The caves have not been found rediscovered in later days.
Other sights that you will see include the glass bottomed Sky Walk Bridge that sticks out over the canyon for tourists to walk on. The effect is said to that of walking on air and looking thousands of feet below you. It was built by the Hualapai Indian Tribe. This structure is the highest man-made structure ever built.
The canyon itself has been carved over a six million year space of time. The layers of colors in the rock signify different eras in the history of life on the planet. Multitudes of fossils from plants and animals from each era have been found by excavators. Scientists have been able to track life forms from each era and each prehistoric period.
Most tours will fly you past Lake Meade and the Hoover Dam. Lake Meade is a man-made lake created by the construction of the Hoover Dam. The original name for this dam was the Boulder Dam. Building started in July of 1930 in Boulder Canyon and when the construction was dedicated in September of 1930 by President Hoover's representative he announced that it would be known as the Hoover Dam. The dam employed twenty one thousand men in total and took over five years to complete.
From your seat you will view will be able to view the sand stone formations and multi-colored floor and walls of the gorge that are breath taking to see. There are also Native American villages to be seen that date back for centuries. There have been Native American Indians living in and around the canyon since 500 AD. The walls of caves show record of many different Native American cultures.
When choosing which of the many helicopters you will hire for your tour try to be certain that they will take you to the sights that are important to you. You can select from companies that operate out of Las Vegas or from the Grand Canyon itself. The main objective should be that they meet the needs of you and your companions.

If you are thinking of buying a used shipping container to be used as an office space or personal storage at your home, or construction storage, it is best that you carry out some research first and compare the prices before buying. The shipping container prices depend primarily on the following factors:
The Condition of the Shipping Container can affect the Price
The shipping container price is greatly affected by its condition. If you check out the price of used containers in your area and you notice that it is substantially lower as compared to others then there is a big possibility that there is something wrong with it. The container might be rusted out, the frame could be racked and it is no longer watertight, or there might be some defects that you might not notice. I am not saying that it is impossible to find such deal, but it is very rare to find a container for sale in the market at very low price.
Size
Definitely the shipping container price of the used 20 ft. is less as compared to the used 40 foot containers. It normally depends on the condition and location. The 10 ft. container price are an exception to the rule. If you think that it will cost less than 20 ft. containers, think again; there are few things that you need to know about this.
The 10 ft. shipping containers use the same number of steel as the 20 ft. container does. The sides and ceilings of 10 feet may be lesser but it does not affect the price that much. Thus the prices between the two containers are almost the same even if they differ in size.
The Impact of Location and Inventory
Those companies that are located near the coastal area, particularly near the ports, may offer these shipping containers at the lowest price possible. You can check out and compare prices before purchasing. The most expensive containers are the one that is being delivered and taken to distribution centres where they are reorganised into trains or trucks. In some instances the products are kept in the containers for further transport, but there are things that are needed to be done on the containers that are still at the depot.
Normally, the containers kept at the depot remains there until the time they need to be transported to another location. The price gets very competitive for those that are left at the depot.
It may require a lot of effort, but it is possible that you can find a container in a port area and a driver can move it on your behalf. However, for this, you are required to pay an additional fee. If you want to save a little bit, you will need to find a forklift that is strong enough to lift the container off the chassis. Before purchasing it is best that you compare the shipping containers prices of different companies so you can avail of the best deal available.

One of the most popular methods in moving large amounts of materials or products for a long distance is by the use of shipping containers. Shipping products using an airplane or regular trucks is not a good idea, especially when the amount of goods exceeded the capacity of what the vehicle can handle. The first thing that you need to consider is the size. Generally, shipping containers are available in two sizes, 20ft. and 40 ft. It is best if you can purchase the 40ft container for sale in the port near you since it can carry twice as many items than the 20 feet container and they only cost fifteen percent more, which makes them a cost effective way of shipping huge loads. If you want to know more about this topic, you can read the tips and guide below.
Key Factors to Consider when Making a Purchase
If you are planning to purchase the foot container in the port near you, there are several key factors that you need to consider. The first thing you need to do is to have a plan. Know your purpose of buying it. Big companies and organisations that transport their products on a regular basis would probably want to check out the price. Having your own storage containers is very useful, especially for international shippers who require 24 hours access. But, if you only need these containers for personal use or anything, renting one is a wise decision.
Why Buying a 40 Foot Container for Sale a Good Idea?
It is best to purchase a 40ft container for sale since they are the most abundant size of the shipping container worldwide, and it meets the size regulations which ISO has put in place. Buying the container that meets the standards is also quite important if you plan to transport overseas, since you cannot transport it if your container or crate does not meet the international standards. The purpose of these standards is for the products and your safety and in the interest of expediting several numbers of containers at a time in one shipping vessel.
Keep in mind that the prices of these containers may vary depending on the area where you will purchase it as well as the condition of the container. It is best if you check out several companies that offer 40ft container for sale. The internet is one of the best sources; however it is not recommended that you make a deal with the first company that you find. Choose the one that offer 40ft containers for sale at affordable price but with high quality.
The factors mentioned above are only some of the factors that you need to consider when purchasing or renting the shipping container. As mentioned above, it is best that you determine first the size that you need, how often you will use it and the distance it needs to travel in order to reach its destination. You also have the option to purchase used or new shipping containers.

When buying a shipping container, there are factors to consider in selecting what is suited for your needs. There are used shipping containers that are offered "as is" for a very low price and this may attract you to buy without considering the other factors and you may end up buying the one that does correspond to your needs.
* How often are you going to use it? Are you going to use it for not so frequent deliveries or just a temporary storage? If so, it would be more practical to rent a storage container so you can get a high-quality container for seldom or one-time use. If you need refrigerated or modified containers, renting is your best option as they are more expensive.
* How important is aesthetics to you? When buying containers for your company's private storage needs, it does not really matter if it comes with some scratches, dents and dings. If so, you will be able to get a lower-priced container for your private storage needs.
* Refurbishing cost - If you are planning to use a shipping container as a mobile home or shop or a display stand on several industry events, you may have to pay a higher price for repairs. Instead of opting for a used shipping container, it would be more practical to buy a new one.
* Cost of Modifications - When you are going to use a shipping container as your mobile shop, mobile home, outbuilding or office, you may need to modify it to suit your needs. These modifications may include installation of cooling and heating systems, installation of electrical system, modification of doors and windows and repainting to add the company's logo. All of these will accumulate some cost. You may choose a used shipping container as it is cheaper, but will it still be practical after all the modifications and renovations compared to buying a new container?
* Consider the size - If you are going to use the container as an office, do you have enough space to house the container? It is a general rule to leave an extra 1.5m of space on each side to make sure the container fits. Shipping containers usually come in 8ft (2.438m) wide and 9ft (2.74m) high or 9.5ft (2.8956m) high and 20ft (6.09m) or 40ft (12.19m) long. They also come in 45ft (13.7m), 30ft (9.1m) and 10ft (3.04m) long, although very seldom.
* Compare prices - Container prices changes from time to time. It would be wise to compare prices of different companies first before deciding to buy a used or new container.
* Check the delivery prices - Some companies deliver their containers for free especially local suppliers. Although some may charge for delivery, it would be wise to know how much and compare to help keep your costs down.
When looking for shipping containers to buy, consider your needs and what you will be using it for. If buying a new container is just a few hundred dollars difference from buying a used one, a brand new container will be best.

If you have goods that needs to be kept fresh at all times, it is wise to go for refrigerated containers for sale. Also referred to as reefers, these containers can help you save in costs and extend the shelf life of your products.
In the food distribution industry, refrigerated containers play an important role. Foods are perishable and must be kept fresh and clean until they reach the customers for them to stay edible and of high quality. Refrigerated containers successfully preserve food while being transported to their respective consumers.
Even in the medical field where vaccines, plasma, lab samples, medical drugs and diagnostic kits are required to be kept in a temperature-controlled environment to retain their integrity, refrigerated containers deliver well. These products must not be exposed to temperatures that are beyond their tolerance and refrigerated shipping containers are the best way to transport them without putting their integrity at risk.
Depending on your needs, it comes in different types such as single phase, drying/dehumidifying, dual temperate, energy efficient and blast freezer. These refrigeration units are large enough to accommodate almost any product and they are suited for outdoor conditions. With docks all over the world, refrigerated containers are the best way to transport your goods to reach clients from all over the world.
Refrigerated containers can be modified to meet your storage needs. If you will be using it as a static storage in your own location, you can add a side door, fit a security locking chain or add your company logo. Refrigerated containers are a good way to transport your goods not only by shipping vessels but also by road or by rail.
If you are planning to buy a container to store or transport your perishable goods, it is best to check for companies that are near your area. This will minimise delivery charges and delivery issues. Most companies charge lesser delivery charges to locations that are near their area. This will also ensure that your shipping container will be delivered on time.
A refrigerated container ranges from £1850 to £3350, depending on its condition and other factors. If you seldom need a container, it may be more practical to rent one whenever you need it. But, if you need a container most of the time to ensure the quality of your goods, it is practical and economical to buy new or used refrigerated container instead. Shipping containers are a structurally sound and secured storage. You will need dynamite or blow torch to break into it and it is very heavy to walk off with it.
A 20 foot shipping container weighs 5,000 pounds. It means you need at least 50 strong men to move it into another position or you can use a crane or a large forklift to move it. Although shipping containers are very strong, they are made from steel and rust can harm them. You can prevent rust from accumulating and extend the life of the container for sale by using the appropriate paint and applying it properly.

Article Title: Seeing Shipping Container Costs as Investments

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
Should a shipping container cost be merely considered a cost/expense or can it be also considered an investment? When looking at shipping containers, it is usually associated with mere storage, but creative minds have transformed this into a money-making space as will be demonstrated below. But how much are containers? This will depend on its size and usage.
Brand new containers can range from £4,000$ to £8,000 while second hand containers can go as low as £1,500. Shipping containers come in different sizes - 10ft., 20 ft., 40 ft., among others; just choose a size that will answer your needs.
For business purposes, especially those who are starting, it is recommended that they look for Second hand containers. Good conditioned used containers can be found on the internet. This may prove to be a more sound decision as it might highly cut your costs. A background check, however, should be done in order to assure its condition. One would not want to spend more on renovation than its original purchase if it could have been prevented in the first place. In some cases, paint jobs can make containers seemingly look in good condition but are actually not- caution must be taken. Also, one should consider insulation if this is to be made as a work space.
Innovative individuals have reused shipping containers as sites for their businesses and have even made intricate designs out of them. Examples of which are turning these containers into bars, coffee places, museums, houses, hotels, artwork, schools, play centers and even a bank branch! If one converts a container into a comfortable dwelling, one can lease it out and gain passive income for months to come; and who says you'll only settle with one? Imagine if you have several of these (As long as it is lucrative)? If one needs a tutorial center in the neighborhood, this can be transformed into such.
However, before considering making a business out of it, one must make sure that there is space for containers and that the locality permits its placement. In some localities there are policies called planning permission that restrict or inhibits these shipping containers; there would be no point in considering this a business opportunity if policies do not allow for it to happen. Some suppliers of shipping containers also are able to deliver these shipping containers to one's exact address but one has to make sure that delivery of this item is possible in the said area.
And so if one has any idle shipping containers that are waiting to be disposed or are non-performing, one might consider renovating it. Again it does not need to be brand new, if one sees a business opportunity then why not grab one? There is always risk, but if it is not taken, it will never happen. If there is a business minded individual out there who has the patience and dedication for transforming a shipping container into something artistic and lucrative, then container cost can be seen as an investment opportunity.

Several businesses and individuals require the use of shipping containers for their day to day operations. Shipping containers for sale can be easily found on the internet or even in your own locality. Different uses will call for different container dynamics. Thus, the first step in choosing a shipping container and shipping scheme is to identify the company's or individual's shipping container usage. One can choose to purchase a shipping container or hire/rent one with ease; these can be delivered to your exact address (just check this with the chosen supplier).
Identifying your container needs
What is the container to be used for? How long will be the duration of usage? These questions will determine your needs. Given the duration of usage, one may choose to buy a new container or a used one (many used containers are available online). Disposing a container will be an issue if one decides to purchase, thus, if the usage duration will be only a few months, renting might be considered a better option. Also, shipping containers come in varied sizes (eg 8ft, 10 ft, 20ft, 30ft, 40ft, 45ft), buy one that fits your needs.
Container Considerations
In selecting containers, one must inspect its quality. New containers (especially from reputable suppliers), assures one of its condition. Used containers, although cheaper, may already have signs of dilapidation such as holes and leaks- it is a must therefore to check the container first before the purchase. In some instances, containers are to be used for years, so one must ensure its durability. Its depreciation can be attributable to environmental conditions such as exposure to wind, salt and moisture so the container must be able to withstand these if in such conditions.
Safety is also an issue for shipping containers. Some are protected with simple padlocks while other suppliers install lock box facility to further ensure protection; just make sure they are not easily breakable and are reasonable enough.
As in all cases, a buyer is faced with a budget. The tighter the budget, the better it will be to consider buying a second-hand container or renting one (saves you the hassle of reselling). Depending on size and usage, a container can range from 1,500$ to as high as 8,000$.
Further, shipping the container is another consideration. Some companies include freight of these containers while in other cases will need the assistance of an external carrier. Tracking the shipping of the container should also be a question to the supplier; make sure that you are able to have a regular update to its status. Also, planning permission might be an issue with some areas, so it will be best to inquire with the local authorities regarding this. On the buyer's own end, one must ensure that there is space for the container and that it is logistically possible to deliver a shipping container in the area.
Interestingly, aside from being containers for personal or business objects, shipping containers have also been used creatively as make-shift classrooms or even homes! Thus, we can see its many uses. There are several for sale available in the market, and it will be identifying your needs and budget that will get you one successful purchase.

Looking at shipping containers for sale, one may directly assume that its use is merely for storage. However, some people have seen an added value into it and innovatively used this mass of metal differently. Browsing the internet, one can see that people have transformed this mere shipping container into a dwelling-fully furnished and beautifully designed. It need not be brand new. There are several second-hand shippingcontainers that are for sale in the internet. With a background check and good haggling powers, one may arrive at a worthwhile purchase.
Some businesses or personal activities necessitate the purchase of shipping containers for everyday operations; however, once its use is gone its disposal becomes a problem. Because of this, some people opt to hire/rent a shipping container instead (especially if usage is only a few months) to avoid this problem. Or, sell the used container on eBay and other internet sites to gain funds. Alternatively, however, you can transform this into a possible dwelling, a workshop, an office space or whatever creative way you can think of.
Quality shipping containers are what buyers want. Buying a brand new one assures one of its condition, but it is not necessary to make a good purchase. In acquiring a second hand container, one must be particular to its condition. Some used containers may already have signs of dilapidation like possible holes and leaks which may be covered up by a painting job; so do be wary of these. One wouldn't like a home with a leaked roof. Also, if one is considering the container as a dwelling or an office, do make sure that these are properly insulated.
If one looks at websites, the price range of a brand new shipping container would be around 5,000$ to 8,000$, but second-hand containers can go as low as 1,500$ depending on its usage and condition. So if one is on a tight budget, one might opt to purchase a used one-just do a background check.
Alternative uses of shipping containers can even be income generating. Business minded individuals have seen a business opportunity in a used shipping container. Its lucrative models include being a bar in Australia and a coffee café. London even has its container city where student apartments and other dwellings are reused shipping containers. Also, a bank branch in Germany has used shipping containers as its temporary office space. For safety reasons, some people in hurricane/tornado prone areas have used these containers as alternative shelters; this example can even be seen in the movie "Take Shelter".
Used shipping containers could also be used in improving a community. We have localities that have used them as children's play centres. Also, countries such as China and India have used containers to build alternative classrooms for children. These can even be used to create a museum space such as that of the Nomadic Museum in Sta. Monica. Maybe the next time you think or see shipping containers for sale, you probably might want to consider it an investment; you're doing something good for the environment too!

Shipping containers are necessary purchases for some businesses. All businesses, however, are always on a budget; thus, prices are a huge consideration in such an acquisition. And so one has three options: buy a brand new shipping container, buy a used shipping container or rent one. In choosing among the options, one must identity one's needs first such as how large the container will be and the duration of its usage. Different uses will have a corresponding scheme.
If one will be using a shipping container for only a few months, it might be best to rent a one instead. This might be more cost efficient depending on your needs. It will also save one from the problem of its disposal after its use. Also, one other advantage of getting a for-hire shipping container is that maintenance wouldn't be much an issue. Several for-hire shipping containers are available in the internet and there is a wide range of containers to choose from. They come in different sizes and specifications, so do let the suppliers know of one's requirements. For food businesses that need to preserve the freshness of their goods, refrigerated containers are also available for hire.
Prices for for-hire containersdiffer by size. For example, in the UK, 10 ft. and 20 ft. containers can be charged at £2 per day while 40 ft. containers can be charged at £3.5 per day which may already be inclusive of a security lockbox. It should be noted that shipping containers can also be delivered directly to one's address (confirm with supplier).
If however, one's activities call for a long term usage of containers, one might think it a better option to buy it brand new. Again, depending on size, brand new containers can range from £3,110.8 to £4977.29. The apparent advantage of buying a new one would be the assurance of its quality. But if a brand new shipping container is too pricey, then purchasing a used one wouldn't necessarily be a bad option; it can even be a prudent decision if you know your needs.
Prices of second hand containerscan go as low £933.24 depending on quality and usage. A background check for signs of dilapidation, however, is a must. One might spend more in its renovation than its purchase if it has not been thoroughly inspected.
In all three however, one must consider its placement in your area. If space is a problem, one might want to rethink even using a shipping container. Also, one must be aware of the locality's policies on shipping containers. Some localities in the UK for example are particular with planning permission, so an inquiry is a must. Also, ask suppliers if they will be able to deliver the container to one's address as one might need to coordinate additional freight arrangements if the supplier does not. Make sure as well that delivery should not be a logistical impossibility. In purchasing containers, disposal is a common problem but people have found innovative ways to reuse and even transform this into a money making space. Above all, know your needs; this will get you a good purchase.

Article Title: Quality Preservation Through Refrigerated Containers

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
Through much time and experience, humanity has developed technologies for the preservation of perishable goods (especially food) for survival and convenience. One effective preservation technique is refrigeration, which is used worldwide and is perhaps the most famous method of preservation. Today, perishable goods are now possible to be transported in longer periods of time through refrigerated containers.
Refrigerated containers, also known as "reefers" are insulated containers used to transport temperature sensitive goods for long periods of time. Reefers have internal refrigeration units but are externally powered through its carrying vessel.
The primary use of reefers is to ensure the quality and safety of transported perishable goods, especially for the food industry. In business and health, the primacy of freshness of your food products cannot be understated. Freshness means quality, and quality means that your product is worth patronising. In the final analysis, businesses thrive because of quality products-if the quality is lost so will the business be.
Since food quality and safety are of primary concern, it is a most prudent decision to invest in a good reefer; this will be especially helpful for businesses that require keeping goods fresh when they are no longer in season. Food that can last only 2-3 days without refrigeration can last weeks if properly refrigerated. This is because refrigeration slows the growth of micro-organisms and delays the chemical changes in the goods.
Refrigeration is further used in the preservation of quality medicines to be distributed and consumed around the world. Medical facilities often employ the use of refrigerator containers for the transport of important vaccines. In addition, refrigeration is also used in increasing the shelf life of photographic film. With such importance in the daily functions of society, organisations such as the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR), continue to develop efficient and environment friendly refrigeration designs for better sustainability.
From a business standpoint, one's refrigeration needs (length of travel and quantity) will decide which kind of refrigerated containers to purchase or hire. Several of these technologies are available online and the web gives many options for quality suppliers of refrigerated containers. Note that the choice of the kind of refrigerated container will be highly defined by its usage. Whether you decide to purchase or rent one will be based on your needs. One distinct advantage of just renting one would be foregoing its disposal if no longer needed, and this may be a cheaper option for some as no maintenance is required of it. Again, it all depends on one's needs. In asking for a quotation online, some companies will need you to give them some specifics as to the size, duration of use (if hired) and temperature required for your good, so know one's refrigeration needs first.
Further, advancements in cryogenics have developed more sustainable and efficient techniques and designs for refrigeration. Some progress includes the development of self-powered reefs that run on battery and which can be transported by plane (not all can be transported by air). It may not be very apparent but refrigeration has greatly had an impact on the quality of life of humanity. If one wants to do well in business and simultaneously protect the environment, it is imperative to buy quality refrigerated containers.

Refrigerated containers are used for transporting perishable goods which require a constant temperature either below or above freezing point such as fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy products, cheese and butter, seafood, poultry and ice. This type of container has special hook rails because chilled meats are sometimes transported while hanging. These containers can also accommodate goods that require standard refrigeration such as wines, beer, food platters and so much more.
Fruits and vegetables for transport require being stored in a modified or controlled atmosphere. This kind of atmosphere is attained by flushing the refrigerated container with CO2 and Nitrogen. While at transport, the atmosphere in the container is regulated by CO2 and ethylene scrubbers or Nitrogen flushing. These containers are kept gastight all the time to prevent the penetration of ambient air or oxygen.
Reefers have an integral refrigeration unit that relies on external power. During transport, the container is powered through gen sets or diesel-powered generators. A redundant refrigeration system is used for transporting hazardous, temperature-sensitive and valuable goods in compliance with the regulations of the International Maritime Organization. This means a primary and back up refrigeration units are integrated into the reefer. When the primary refrigeration unit goes down, the back-up refrigeration unit automatically starts. For increased reliability, one or more diesel generators are fitted into these containers.
For short transport times, cryogenic cooling is sometimes used in these containers. In this case, liquid nitrogen or frozen carbon dioxide ice is used for cooling. The container is cooled when the cryogenically frozen gas evaporates and stays cooled as long as there is frozen gas in the system. Reefers equipped with cryogenic systems can keep the needed temperature for 30 days, making it ideal for sea transport. These reefers do not require any external power so they can be stored anywhere in the vessel that accommodates dry or un-refrigerated ocean freight containers.
A reefer comes in various sizes such as 10ft (3.048 meters), 20ft (6.096) meters) and 30ft (9.144 meters). Reefers are not only beneficial for transporting temperature-sensitive goods, they also come in handy as catering support during functions or events. These containers can keep the food safe, clean and fresh during the event. Reefers are also often used as an extra cold storage for the busy season. During the holiday season, some products are in demand such as turkey, ham, cheese and others that can be stocked and stored to meet the customer's demands.
These containers can also be used as temporary cold storage when your business is undergoing renovation. This will ensure that your temperature-sensitive goods are kept fresh and clean until the renovation is done.
The price of a reefer for hire or sale varies depending on the size, condition and whether it is an integral unit or a porthole (insulated) unit. Refrigerator containers play an important role in the society. These containers allow consumers from all over the world to enjoy fresh produce at any given time of the year. It is also due to these containers that countries are able to share their meat products to the world.

Article Title: Hire Steel Containers - Hire Prices For Shipping Containers

If you need a temporary storage for your business, it is practical to go for a steel container hire service as it is cheaper and the container companies often offer high quality used containers for hire.
If you will only use the shipping container to store your merchandise to be transported to another location for a few times, shipping container hire prices can be more appealing compared to the price of a used shipping container for sale. When you hire a shipping container, you don't necessarily need a space to fit it into. You can request the company to pick up your goods at a certain day and time and have it transported the next day or the same day if possible.
If you plan to buy a new or used shipping container, you should consider the place where it will stay. You should allocate at least five feet (1.524 meters) of extra space for each side of the container to ensure that it will fit. Furthermore, when you buy your shipping container, you may incur repair costs over time since you will be using it longer and it stays in your premise. You will also be responsible for the security of your shipping container. When you rent a shipping container for hire, the company takes care of the security and repairs. You don't have to worry about these things because the company takes care of it.
There are factors that affect the price of a shipping container such as:
* Quantity - When you rent more shipping containers, you may be given a discount or free delivery depending on the company's promotional offer.
* Size - Shipping containers vary in sizes. They come in 10ft (3.048m), 20ft (6.096m), 30ft (9.144m), 40ft (12.192m) and others.
* Type and condition -The price also varies depending on the type of the container, refrigerated or not and its condition, whether it is good or fair.
* Your location - Some companies offer free delivery but often on selected areas only. That is why it is advisable to look for a local shipping company to cut down costs on delivery and to ensure that they can deliver since you are just near their location. The accessibility of your area can also affect the cost of a shipping container for hire.
For a short term hire, a 3.048m (10ft) to 6.096m (20ft) shipping container is usually offered at around £2 per day. They usually come with a security lock box as well as an insurance rated lock. A 40ft (12.192m) shipping container is around £3.50 per day. These prices may vary depending on the company that offers the shipping container and the factors that were mentioned above.
There are times when it is more practical to buy a shipping container instead of renting one. If you frequently need a shipping container to transport your goods, it would be wise to check on the hire prices for shipping containers and compare them with the price of used shipping containers for sale. If the price difference is only thin, it may be more economical and practical to buy one.
