There are few things more quintessentially British than afternoon tea. Freshly baked scones, delicious teas, decadent cakes... it's little wonder this long-established tradition has enjoyed a huge revival in recent years. Here's our pick of the top 5 London hotels serving afternoon tea
Claridge's
For a traditionally English afternoon tea with a touch of elegance, take a seat at Claridge's. This grand Mayfair hotel has won an amazing four Tea Guild Awards of Excellence. The mouth-watering spread includes a choice of 30 teas, finger sandwiches, sweet pastries and freshly baked raisin and apple scones with tea-infused jam and Devonshire clotted cream. Look out for the special occasion teas, including Mother's Day Afternoon Tea and (during Wimbledon) the Lawn Tennis Champagne Afternoon Tea.
The Ritz
'Tea at The Ritz' has become a London institution. Diners in formal wear gather in the elegant Palm Court to enjoy several varieties of tea, sandwiches, freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream, and a range of delicate pastries. As well as the Traditional English Tea, there's a Chocolate Afternoon Tea and the option to add champagne or birthday cake for special occasions. While as a member of the Tea Guild, The Ritz knows its brews and offers everything from Lapsong Souchong Imperiale to Ritz Royal English.
The Dorchester
There are two ways to enjoy afternoon tea at The Dorchester against the backdrop of live music in the central Promenade or in the bright, informal 'Spatisserie'. As well as traditional afternoon tea, there are special occasion spreads, not to mention the deliciously decadent Vintage Champagne Afternoon Tea. Those not wanting to over-indulge should head for the Spatisserie where the ethos is 'a little of what you love is good for you'.
The Langham
The Langham was the first grand hotel to serve afternoon tea in 1865. Today, the Palm Court continues to serve up a delicious selection of spreads. There's the Wonderland Afternoon Tea served with a Langham Cupcake. The Bijoux Tea with cakes and parties inspired by famous jewellery houses, such as the Chanel Pearl. A hearty High Tea, with Croque Madame or Omelette Arnold Bennett. And last, but not least, G & Tea Time with the special ingredient of London's distilled gin, Beefeater 24.
The Connaught
Where better to refresh after a hard morning's shopping than in the tranquil setting of the Connaught's Espelette restaurant. The Chic & Shock Afternoon Tea comes with as added options a glass of Laurent Perrier Champagne or Bollinger La Grande Annee 2000, and seasonal jams in delicious flavours such as raspberry, apple, mango and passion fruit. The menu also includes some very unusual sweets, including the exotic 'Shot glass of Coca Cola jelly and marinated pink grapefruit in whiskey'.
The Metropolitan
Renowned for its cutting-edge approach, cocktails and late-night parties, it's no surprise that The Metropolitan has its own twist on the traditional afternoon tea. Afternoon De-Light At The Met is chic, contemporary and 'waist-friendly'. On the menu you'll find wholesome olive oil muffins, sweet and savoury cupcakes and the no-bread sandwiches. To drink there's a selection of fruit infusions, the Ultimate Iced Tea and seasonal 'Eco-Tini' cocktails made from ingredients sourced within the M25.

South East England is home to a number of exciting theme parks which cater for all the family. Here is a breakdown of what the top eight have to offer.
Thorpe Park
Based in Surrey, this theme park offers a variety of rides and prides itself on catering for everyone from adrenaline junkies to families with very young children. Open mid-March to the end of October, prices are cheaper if you buy online. Children who are shorter than one meter get in free. Prices are more expensive if you buy them at the gates or on the day you attend.
Chessington World of Adventures
Named after the Surrey town it's based in, the traditional roller coasters aren't the only attraction on offer here. The park also contains a sea life Center and a zoo. When guests tire of the rides, they can spend the rest of the day viewing stingrays, sharks, gorillas, lions and tigers. Although Chessington World of Adventures closes for the winter, the animal attractions are still open at the weekends from January to March, and the prices are cheaper because they don't include access to the rides. There is no difference between online tickets and those purchased at the gates. Prices are more expensive when the entire site is open, because the ticket includes access to the animal attractions as well as all the rides.
LEGOLAND
The theme of this amusement park is the colorful building brick toys so beloved by children across the world. Rides, building workshops, live entertainment and go-karting are all given the Lego treatment at the park in Windsor, Berkshire. Although one of the newer theme parks in England - it was opened in 1996 - it has quickly become one of the most visited attractions in the UK. LEGOLAND is closed for the winter but opens to the public on March 20, 2010. Prices are more expensive if you don't purchase them online.
Go Ape!
Release your inner monkey! There are 22 locations of this unusual theme park, which features obstacle courses in forests, including one in Cranbrook, Kent. Guests must be over ten to enjoy the high-wire adventure, if you want friends or family to watch you from the forest floor they can do so for free. A parent or responsible adult must accompany the under-18s around the course. Instructors are on hand at each obstacle for safety reasons.
Harbour Park
This quaint theme park is situated next to a working harbour on the bank of the River Arun in Littlehampton, West Sussex. Don't expect huge roller coasters, but there are indoor and outdoor rides so whatever the weather, families should have fun here. Favorites include an arcade and gaming area, a water chute, and the bumper cars. It's free to get into the park, but once inside you must buy tokens to go on each ride - one token costs 50p, and rides cost three to five tokens each.
Diggerland
This Kent theme park is one of the UK's quirkier attractions, and it's ideal for kids obsessed with building site machinery. There are rides designed like mechanical diggers, and guests even have the opportunity to operate a full-size diggers, dumpers and construction machinery themselves.
Paultons Park
Even the biggest rides at this Hampshire theme park are family friendly and children aged six and over are allowed on the 'Edge' roller coaster as long as they are accompanied by an adult. There are also smaller rides for children and some animal attractions, such as penguins, birds of prey, meerkats and wallabies. The park is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday after March 26, 1010. Tickets are 50p cheaper if you buy them online and children under a meter get in absolutely free.
Gulliver's Land
Aimed at children aged between two and 12 years old, this Milton Keynes theme park is based on the story of Gulliver's travels to the miniature land of Lilliput. Rides include the log flume and ferris wheel and there are entertainment shows throughout the day.

South East England is an excellent sight seeing destination. It's the home of more than 30 of England's 100 beautiful castles. Historically, the south east of England was vulnerable to invasions and attacks from foreign shores, this lead to the construction of a large number of beautiful and sturdy castles. Because of the need to protect the area from foreign invasion, the castles in the south east are some of the most heavily fortified in all of England.
Herstmonceux Castle
Herstmonceux Castle features a number of unique and beautiful attractions, including a walled garden constructed in the 14th century. The castle sits on over 550 acres of gardens and parklands. It is both a romantic and powerful representation of renaissance Europe. It is possibly most famous for its elaborate moat, which is filled with water lilies.
The Herstmonceux Castle currently houses the Bader International Study Centre of Queen's University, Canada.
Rochester Castle
Construction on Rochester Castle began in 1087AD. It is an excellent example of Normal Military Architecture and is one of just a few remaining structures of its kind. The keep, which was constructed around 1126 AD, is four stories tall. This is one of the tallest keeps in all of England. It partially extends over the Roman city wall, a unique feature of the castle. The Rochester Castle is also a popular location for concerts and festivals.
Unfortunately, in 1610 most of the castle was demolished. Today, only the keep and curtain walls remain standing. While the floor of the keep is no longer intact, there are a number of beautiful spiral staircases and stone passageways that are still accessible. Visitors can climb 34 metres to the top of the battlements for a spectacular view of the grounds and surrounding area.
Sissinghurst Castle
Sissinghurst was purchased in the 20th century by Harold Nicolson and Vita Sackville-West, two English aristocats. The castle is surrounded by some of England's most famous and beautiful gardens. The layout of the gardens was designed by Nicolson and planted by Sackville-West. Another beautiful feature of the castle is the large number of wildflowers that bloom around it. They create a uniquely spectacular and colourful view. It is best to visit during the late afternoon when the natural beauty of the landscape can be best appreciated.
Guildford Castle
The Guildford Castle underwent extensive renovations in 2004 to increase its accessibility to visitors. These renovations included a new roof and floors. This castle is especially visitor friendly as it offers a number of models depicting the castle's appearance in the 12th century. Educational videos are also available and trace the history of the castle from its original construction through the present day. Guildford Castle also features a gift shop and a large platform roof which is accessible to visitors and can provide an excellent view of the surrounding countryside.
The Guildford Museum is housed within the old gatehouse of the Guildford Castle. The museum is an archeological and local history museum, containing many interesting pieces. It also has a large collection of needlework dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries.
Hever Castle
The Hever Castle is especially unique because it was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, the Queen of England from 1533 to 1536 and second wife of King Henry VIII. Unfortunately, due to a number of historical factors, the only portion of the original castle that remains is the gatehouse.
The castle is best known for its three mazes: the Yew Maze, the Splashing Water Maze, and the Tower Maze. The interior is fully furnished, which adds further beauty to Hever Castle. The castle also features a number of award winning gardens and a beautiful boating lake. A museum of torture devices is held within the castle, which is a particularly unique exhibit. It is also the home of a general history museum of the Kent Yeomanry.
Leeds Castle
The Leeds Castle is among the best preserved of all castles in South East England. Lady Baillie furnished the Leeds Castle with a number of beautiful tapestries, antiques, and paintings. The castle is also known for its picturesque beauty. With over 500 beautiful acres, it is an ideal location for picnics and long countryside walks. There are a number of attractions that make the Leeds Castle especially unique. These include open air concerts, hot air balloon rides, cafes, restaurants, and children's play areas. It also holds a unique museum of old dog collars and a large moat.
The Leeds Castle is one of the most iconic in South East England. It has been added to and preserved since its original construction in 1119 AD.

The drama begins in Act One in which Roxie Hart murders her lover, Fred Casely, and subsequently attempts to blame her bumbling husband Amos for the slaughter (though she is soon found out and arrested). It's in the cell blocks that we are treated to the infamous musical number "Cell Block Tango," in which several other murderesses sing of their crimes.
Other characters introduced are Matron "Mama" Morton, a corrupt prison warden with a favors-exchange system via which she provides mutual services to prisoners, and Velma Kelly, a vaudevillian charged with the double homicide of her adulterous husband and back-stabbing sister.
Velma and Roxie soon find themselves in a struggle to win the limelight of fame which Roxie ultimately wins when she manages to steal Velma's lawyer, the renowned Billy Flynn, who spins the truth concerning the murder of Fred Casely ("They Both Reached for the Gun") and makes Roxie the toast of Chicago at the expense of Velma Kelly's now-obsolete name. Roxie turns down Velma's passionate request to recreate her former sister act ("I Can't Do it Alone"), only to find that the latest crime to make headlines has all but caused Roxie's name to vanish from the public eye as well.
Act two remains just as sordid an affair: Roxie has decided to earn her fame back by announcing a false pregnancy to the press, who begin to fawn over her once again. Amos is delighted by the unexpected news but we eventually learn that he is severely disheartened by the failure of anyone including his own wife, who is supposedly pregnant with his child to notice him ("Mr. Cellophane").
Meanwhile, Billy Flynn calms Roxie's growing anxiety about her upcoming trial with the witty number "Razzle Dazzle," assuring her that everything will turn out fine as long as a proper show is put on for the jury. As promised, Roxie is acquitted, but yet another crime of passion makes news and the blood-thirsty press abandons Roxie's story in pursuit of it. Billy Flynn also leaves, having done his part in the case. Amos is the only remaining character in Roxie's now-vacant life, and even he is driven away by the news that there is, in fact, no baby. With nothing left of their former fame, Roxie and Velma team up to begin a new double act that shakes Chicago down to the core all over again.
The entertainment value of the story alone is reason enough to see this show, but for those who want additional motivation, here are five reasons to go see Chicago: The Musical:
1. The Music
Guaranteed to keep you interested, each number in Chicago is based on a traditional vaudeville act; many of them are even inspired by particular famous vaudeville performers, such as Judy Garland and Mae West. The score itself was composed by John Kander, winner of the Tony, Laurence Olivier, Emmy, and Grammy Awards.
2. The Awards
Chicago: The Musical itself has been the winner of a number of awards, including eleven Tony nominations in the 1976 original run of the show and a Tony in 1997, the Drama Desk Awards, Outer circle Awards, and Drama League Award. An Academy Award-winning film adaptation of the musical was released to much critical acclaim in 2002.
3. The Choreography
The musical Chicago has become synonymous with its choreography, engineered by praised choreographer Bob Fosse, who himself has won eight Tony Awards for his work. Of particular interest here are the numbers "Razzle Dazzle," "Cell Block Tango," and "We Both Reached for the Gun."
4. The Staging
Sets, design, choreography, and sheer visual spectacle for this production are unparalleled and the show often breaks the fourth wall, drawing the audience into its visceral world.
5. The Idea
If nothing about musicals enraptures you, then the intellectual fodder laid out by the themes in the story of Chicago: The Musical is enough to get anyone's mind working. Chicago isn't shy about pointing out how glamorized criminals become once they enter the public eye, nor does it refrain from the central theme that people everywhere are absolutely in love with scandal, no matter how depraved.

Leave the men at home and enjoy a fantastic girls' night out at a West End musical. With so many shows to choose from, there are lots of ways to indulge your guilty pleasures... We've selected the best London musicals that are guaranteed to have you and your friends dancing in your seats!
London's West End offers a multitude of fantastic shows, perfect for a girl's night out, here's our guide to the top five.
Legally Blonde
Based on the glittering film of the same name, Legally Blonde The Musical at London's Savoy Theatre is feel-good, fun and fabulous. A sassy Sheridan Smith takes on the role of social butterfly and homecoming queen Elle Woods who enrols at Harvard Law School after her boyfriend (Duncan James from chart-topping band Blue) dumps her for someone more 'serious'. Just like the original, award-winning Broadway show, this West End production offers a sparkly line-up of great singing, dancing and (of course) lots of pink!
Mamma Mia!
Packed with all your favourite ABBA hits, from Dancing Queen to Souper Trouper, Mamma Mia! at London's Prince of Wales Theatre is the ultimate feel-good show. If you've seen the film, you'll know the story already: a mother, daughter, 3 possible dads. Set on Greek island paradise, the enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship unfolds to the unmistakable soundtrack of ABBA's classic songs. With music that good, you can't go wrong!
Dirty Dancing
Make a date to see Dirty Dancing at London's Aldwych Theatre and prepare to have the time of your lives. This stage production of the much-loved film starring Patrick Swayze revives the classic story of Baby and Johnny as they defy the odds to follow their hearts and feet. See all your favourite moments and songs right before your eyes. And because you're among friends, there's no spoilsport guy to roll his eyes when you swoon at the famous lift!
Grease
The unforgettable songs, the flamboyant clothes, the drama, the romance... it's no wonder Grease remains the most popular musical around. Gather your 'pink ladies' and join Sandy, Danny and the gang at London's Piccadilly Theatre as they belt out all your favourite hits, including You're The One That I Want, Hopelessly Devoted To You and Greased Lightnin'. Currently reprising the famous film roles played by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John are bright young things Noel Sullivan (formerly if pop band Hear'say star) and Siobhan Dillon, from BBC talent show How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?
Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical
The original TV heartthrob and star of stage and screen Jason Donovan sizzles in the lead role of Priscilla Queen of the Desert at London's Palace Theatre. Based on the Oscar-winning film of the same name, Priscilla Queen of the Desert has it all, outrageous costumes, dance-floor classics and wild adventures. Now you can enter the world of Tick (Jason Donovan), Bernadette (Tony Sheldon) and Adam (Oliver Thornton), the glamorous Sydney-based performing trio, as they take their show into the Australian outback onboard a battered old bus nicknamed Priscilla.

Article Title: 5 Steps to Effectively Monitor Your Brand in Social Media

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
Most brand teams are monitoring social media these days to uncover what is being discussed by their customers about their product and its competitors. Many brand teams are event hiring social media monitoring agencies to keep tabs on their brands. Hiring such an agency, while valuable, is quite costly. The purpose of this article is to outline five key steps to effectively and efficiently monitoring social media in-house at a low cost that will yield third-party quality results.
Step 1: Outline your objectives
This is the most critical and often the most over-looked step in developing a sound social media monitoring plan. It is your objective that will eventually determine which monitoring tools you use and how you use them. Are you looking into a niche market for your product that you haven't previously targeted? Or maybe you are trying to understand consumer opinions on a recent product recall? Depending on your objective, you will need to customize your methodology.
Step 2: Outline your methodology
Your methodology is all about choosing the right tools for the job. A simple way to do this is to create a spreadsheet with a list of all free and pay services available to you. Attach pros and cons to each service based on your specific needs (eg depth of sources monitored, keyword storage, user-friendliness, etc.).
There is no shortage of terrific free tools out there and there is almost no reason that you should not, at the very least, look into these tools. Google Blog Search, Google Alerts, and Twitter Search are all easy to use and very useful. Ultimately, though, a pay service will be required for more robust analysis and deeper insight generation. Most pay services are reasonably priced (starting at only a few hundred dollars per month for a high quality provider) and provide very good customer service to assist you throughout the process of set-up and ongoing monitoring. Radian6 and SM2 are two tools that I have used with good success, but there are numerous other vendors to choose from (eg Scout Labs, TNS Cymfony, and many others). Some will contend that pay services are unnecessary with the availability of so many quality free tools. I disagree, however, as a good social media monitoring vendor will provide you with a tool that, at the very least, will save you hours of aggregating data and, at the very most, provide you with more robust tools for analysis. For a couple of hundred dollars, I find these services to be invaluable.
Step 3: Choose the right keywords and continuously optimize
When setting up a monitoring tool, whether it is a free or pay service, you will need to choose keywords that you want to monitor for. This step is critical in generating clean, useful results. The keywords chosen will determine the quantity and quality of your results.. It is imperative to take a targeted approach as you need to cast a large enough net that you capture all relevant conversation without being drowned in irrelevant material. The keyword list should be developed with the overall objective in mind and should be crafted carefully to uncover as much relevant conversation as possible with as little noise as possible.
Depending on your brand name, this may be a very simple or complex process. For a brand like Toyota, for instance, there is likely to be little confusion. Nearly any mention of the term "Toyota" will yield a result that is specific to the car maker. However, brands like Sure deodorant will need to be much more diligent in their approach. Results for "Sure", in general, will have little relevance and even keyword phrase "Sure deodorant" may yield poor results. Trial and error will ultimately determine the optimal list of keywords. Conduct a quick audit after a few days to see the results that each keyword is generating and adjust accordingly. By dedicating time upfront to this optimization process, you will benefit in the long run in the form of saved time and quality results.
Step 4: Dedicate time to analyzing your results
It is an absolute must that you dedicate time on a weekly basis to analyze the results of your social media monitoring campaign. The purpose of this endeavor is to gain real-time feedback on your brand from your customers. Checking-in sporadically and without focus defeats the purpose of monitoring social media. My recommendation is to set-up a weekly 2 hour time slot in your calendar that you can dedicate to analyzing results and optimizing your keyword list.
Most social media monitoring tools will allow you to uncover trends based on keywords and source. Many will even tell you the sentiment of the conversation (good, bad, neutral), but this too requires optimization as an automated tool cannot sense tone and sarcasm. Working with other team members on your social media monitoring endeavor will lighten your time burden and yield more insightful results. I recommend having one team member manage the overall process and share results with the rest of the team on a regular basis in the form of a brainstorming session to better understand the implications of the results.
Step 5: Take action!
Ultimately, we monitor social media to gain insight: insight into our customers' attitudes and beliefs, insight into our brand and how it's perceived, insight into trends in the market. This is all done with the intention of enabling us to make more informed, more impactful decisions. When you have uncovered a valuable insight about your brand that you can back up with solid findings, use it to your advantage by acting on it accordingly.

Article Title: 8 Tips To Help You Communicate With Your Teen

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
On of the main issues with teenagers is communication. It's like talking to a wall. I have had so many parents come to me and say he/she just turns away and walks away from me when I am talking to them.
I don't know what to do?
I wanted to give you some tips that you can use when your struggling with communicating with your teenager.
Hear what they say not what you heard: I cant tell you how many marriages, relationships, and yes even raising teens success has to do with your ability to hear. We have lost the art of hearing and understanding what people are trying to communicate. Sometimes we are so caught up in the emotion of what is taking place that we ignore the sounds coming from their lips. I would suggest several times a week just spending more and more time just talking in a controlled emotional environment where no matter what is said to you...you just listen and talk.
Control your emotions: If you have to walk out of the room after a talk and put a few holes in the room...that is fine...just hire a good handy man. But when you are in the room talking with your teen try to stay as calm as you can. There is nothing worse than a parent riding the emotional roller coaster with their teenager. They are battling all kinds of things within their body and need us to stay as calm as we can to work through the ride.
Don't freaking cuss: Control your language and don't push buttons. I have seen some parents intentionally push the buttons of their teens to get a rise out of them. They will go after their teen to hurt them just as they have been hurt by their own teen. It is a crazy form of communication but parents do this all the time.
Keep Coming Back: Everyday come back and re-assure your teenager that you love them and that you care for them. Tell them that you are going to be their no matter what and prove it with your actions. You need to show up each day and work the communication with your teen.
Correct bad information: In the best way you know how...do not allow your teen to mis-represent or lie about situations. Check them right there and then. You have to keep speaking the truth.
Now, I would caution you to realize that the way your teen describes a particular situation may be exactly how they see it. And you may get them to shut up but they will walk away feeling as though they are right. But I would take some time in understanding what is being said and correcting bad information. Those are always teaching moments.
Don't allow vague conversation: Every time your teen speaks out and says they, them, or everyone. Make them tell you who those people are. Never allow for someone to lump a group of people together like that. It not only allows you to know who your teen is thinking of but also allows you to know what "they" might actually think and bring corrective thinking to the situation.
Use more encouragement than discouragement: Don't kill your teen with insults, loud talking, and discouragement. You need to break down walls and not build them
One last thing I can say that will allow you to understand your teen more and something some parents do not do enough of is something Susan Elswick said...
Get involved in their lives and know their friends- I know we have all heard the radio commercials where parents are asked if they know what time their favorite show comes on, what the score for last nights game was, or if they know the name of the top draft pick for the NFL....then they ask if the parent knows the name of at least one of their child's friends/ teachers. This is a very eye opening commercial. We spend so much of our daily energy on things that don't really have a huge impact on our lives or the loves of our children, but something as simple as the name of our child's friend could be very important. Make it a point to meet your children's friends and their families, know what your child's interests are, and get to know their teachers. Even if you are trying hard as a parent in your home, if you are not monitoring who your children spend time with and where they spend their time you are leaving a lot of room for mayhem.

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
I am going to give you some things that you can do to actually win your boss over to YOUR way of thinking. These methods are tried and proven as they are derived from the Dale Carnegie school of thought.
In a series of seven articles we are going to cover the following topics:
1. Be Interested In Other People
2. Avoiding Arguments
3. Getting Your Boss To Agree
4. Throw Down The Challenge
5. Admit Mistakes
6. Be A Good Listener
7. Putting It All Together
We'll cover number 1 & 2 in this article
Look, we all know that, for the most part, you're at your job to get a pay check and nothing else. Maybe, if you're lucky, there are a couple of people there who you work with who you like, but your boss is probably not one of them.
This is where you're going to really have to work hard...especially if you'd rather see your boss boiled in oil. If you haven't done so already, show some interest in your boss. Ask about his family. Ask about his hobbies. Ask him what he likes about working for the company.
If you can show genuine interest in your bosses life, you very well may just win him over and get him off your back.
It's certainly worth a try.
Of course, if that fails, along with all my other suggestions (some bosses are hard nuts) you're going to need to know your legal rights.
Avoiding Arguments
Do you know why arguments never lead to any good? Because neither side wants to give in. Given a topic where there are two differing opinions, each person is going to fight to the death to defend THEIR position.
If you think I'm wrong, watch a few arguments and see how they turn out.
Okay, so how do you go about avoiding arguments?
There are 3 ways.
1. Listen - I know this sounds odd, but hear me out. There is no way to even know what the argument is going to be about if you're not listening. Provided that you're not the one instigating the argument (usually the boss does this) you are going to need to hear what he is saying to know HOW to respond. This way, you'll have all the information you'll need to give a rational response.
2. Don't Throw Fuel On The Fire - One of the worst things you can do is respond with something like, "That's one of the stupidest ideas I have ever heard". That is only going to get your boss more worked up. I'm not saying you have to agree with him. Just don't be confrontational. It won't lead to anything good.
3. Flip The Script - This takes some skill, but it's very effective. If your boss is totally out of control, flip the script. In other words, stop him in his tracks by getting his attention. Usually this can be done by saying his name, however you address him...Mr Smith, whatever. Then, after you've gotten his attention, ask him to clarify what he's just said because you're having trouble following him. This will get him to slow down and speak in a more rational manner. But stay calm during the whole process.
By avoiding the argument, you can usually keep your boss calm enough to be tolerable.

Article Title: Getting Your Boss to Agree & Throw Down the Challenge

Admittedly, this takes some great skill, and some bosses are never going to admit you're right no matter what you say or do. You need to understand this going in. However, these tactics might just give you a fighting chance with the boss who at least has half a heart and isn't totally insane.
1. Do Your Homework - The first thing you have to do is understand the nature of the work related task and the problem surrounding it. The more information you have, the better armed you will be. No, you can't fake this...which means...you have to know your job. If you don't, you might be better off leaving in the first place.
2. Think Like Your Boss - Okay, this is not easy for some people. But you have to get inside of the head of your boss. You need to understand what makes him tick. Why does he think like he does? Why does he run the office the way he does? Find out what's important to him. Play to his wants and desires and then turn them around to get what YOU want.
3. Prepare For No - Be prepared for your boss to say no. It's going to happen. Not every idea you come up with is going to be a winner. Accept his no professionally and don't be confrontational about it.
Ultimately, what this is going to do, regardless of how it turns out is that it's going to help diffuse the volatile relationship that you two have. Do this enough and you just might find that things start to get back to normal. That's of course if they ever were.
If this fails and it looks like the axe is going to fall or you just can't hack the job anymore, check out the site below to find out how you can make the best of a bad situation.
Throw Down The Challenge
This takes a lot of guts and can blow up in your face. But...if it works, you'll finally get the piece at the job that you have always wanted. Yeah, it's kind of an all or nothing proposition, but as a last ditch effort, it can pull your backside out of the fire.
1. Preparation - First thing you have to do is prepare. Let's say you want to implement a new security protocol. What you need to do is completely map out the plan. You need to be able to walk into your bosses office and say "here it is" and present it with confidence. Make it obvious that you've really worked hard on it.
2. Throw Down The Challenge - Tell you boss that IF he allows you to go ahead with this plan and it doesn't work out, you'll leave. You won't give your boss any problems and you'll go quietly.
Now, here's what you need to understand about this situation and when to use this tactic.
At this stage, your boss should be pretty close to actually firing you or driving you crazy enough to leave, so while it is an all or nothing proposition, you have everything to gain and nothing to lose. You're one foot out the door either way anyway. So this is your "Hail Mary".
Believe it or not...it works more times than it doesn't IF you have your plan well thought out.
In other words...if you don't REALLY know your job...don't try this.
If the axe is about to fall, you might want to check the link out below.

Getting a photo printer could be very complicated because there are so many options. By way of example among merely Hewlett Packard and Canon there are actually more than 55 photo printers for sale in most price points. Looking in an office supply store I frequent at the various models was equally confusing and the sales people really were not much help. They didn't seem to know all the models, and the sales data sheets were close to useless. I though maybe looking online would be a good idea as there must be 1000s or reviews, right?
Well, reading through endless reviews and opinions, both at 3rd party websites in addition to ones like Amazon.com may be very useful, but it surely makes sense to know some basics to begin with, and I didn't. Also knowing about the dates on reviews is critical simply because products and also technologies improve fairly speedily. For example the particular photo printer I acquired two years in the past, while nonetheless functional, is nearly obsoleted by much less expensive and also better models today. A photo printer from close to six years ago is really obsolete and I am unable to without difficulty link it to the computer system as the connectors have changed! I definitely needed a new photo printer.
In my research I discovered some basic questions you need to ask yourself about how and where you'll be using your printer. For example, do you really need just a simple photo printer to simply produce a couple of pictures a week, or maybe are you going to end up making hundreds and hundred of pictures? Some people utilize their photo printer at home if they require a quick picture, but use some sort of professional printing service in order to make large amounts (the local camera store and several online services are convenient and have good prices) . Furthermore, does portability matter? Are you going to be moving your printer around, much like you do with a camera? I have buddies that carry their easily transportable printers on vacation, though I do not require that portability and you may not as well. By the way, many serve as copiers and faxes in addition and therefore are frequently identified as All-In-One products. These are wonderful for a lot of small home offices for example, but you may not need or want that functionality.
Look at the expense of paper along with especially ink too! These expenses can be huge should you print a lot. Kodak started a recent marketing campaign around fairly priced ink, and some ink cartridges surely seem unfairly priced! You can always use non manufacturer equivalents which are cheaper and may be fine for your purposes. They work well for me. For those who in addition print a lot of non colored documents, be sure you can swap just the black printer ink with out needing to replace all of the colors at the same time.
So what did I buy? It doesn't matter, because although it's perfect for me most likely another model will be right for you.

Home loan rate may not be completely within your control, however you do have some control nonetheless. With this article, you'll find helpful tips to help you locate lower home loan rates and more competive loan programs. Most homebuyers know that clicking their heels while envisioning a future home is not enough to nab the most affordable mortgage. However, many homebuyers don't know that getting an affordable home loan payment is not simply up to their lender. By taking some steps, homeowners can grab onto both lower home loan rates and payments for their dream homes.
1. Home Loan Payment Budget Assessment
First, take some time to understand what you can afford by crunching the figures of your monthly spending habits. Calculate how much money each month goes towards rent, insurance, car payments, groceries, credit card bills and kids. Remember to calculate larger annual expenses like vacations and gift-giving seasons. After realizing how much of your income goes towards your basic expenses, you can now more clearly see how much money is free to go towards homeowner expenses. Remember that joining the homeowners club doesn't happen with one single, simple monthly mortgage payment. Home loan payments, on top of principal and interest payments, include property tax and homeowners insurance. Don't forget essential additional payments like maintenance, utility bills and extras like outfitting and furnishing your home according to your budget and lifestyle.
2. Credit Cleansing For A Home Loan:
You can make yourself a magnet for lower home loan rates and payments via cleaning your credit. To secure those affordable mortgages with a lower interest rates, you need to lower your credit score. Experts recommend that you order your statement far ahead of any mortgage seeking process and that you take at least 6 months to clean up your credit. You can easily do this by making on time payments, paying off debts, and closing any unused credit accounts. The longer your history of good credit, the better your chance to secure a mortgage with a lower rate. So buckling down to work towards a clean credit history can pay off.
3. Shopping Home Loan Rates Online:
In order to understand what kind of home loan rates are available, jump online. Before entering into the emotionally charged arena of home grabbing, arm yourself with an informed understanding of the kinds of mortgages available to you. Online lending sites provide a wide variety of lenders from across the nation and offer handy, effective comparisons. These powerful resources save you from spending time on lengthy research, and in the end you are aware of a range of mortgage options from lenders near and far.
4. Securing Home Loan Interest Rates:
Now you are ready to see what your lender will allow to spend on a house. Once you hit the markets for house shopping, your chosen lender will pre-qualify you. You provide your credit score, income, liabilities, assets, and credit card expenses. In return you are pre-qualified and have an idea of what kind of market range you can shop in. Once your heart is set on your desired home, ask your chosen lender to pre-approve your loan so that you can make an firm, serious offer. You provide hard documents so that your lender can officially offer you a loan pre-approval.
5. Conclusion:
With some research and preparation homebuyers can secure lower home loan rates. As mortgages can be the biggest monthly burden for most households, you can reasonably spend some time to maximize your mortgage offers and secure a lower monthly payment. By following some basic tips in preparing and informing yourself about your options, your mortgage just might turn out to be your best investment.

The need to communicate is one of the most basic urges of the mankind. In fact, it is this urge that causes us to become the dominant life form on our planet. Thus, since the dawn of time, mankind has used alternative means of communication whenever possible. Of course, as the technology has progressed, communication has taken on different forms. Perhaps, one of the most popular forms of communication is by using ham radios.
Ham Radios require a license, which forces the student to undergo radio theory and principals, while at the same time making the hobby fun. This often wets the students' taste to such a degree, that they are often motivated to work towards a high paying technical career, such as an Electrical Engineer or RF Broadcast Engineer.
Ham radios are special that in order to perform well in the hobby, you need to fully understand the electrical and radio frequency concepts involved. Ham Radios are designed to be used over long distances by using wireless communication. The essence of ham radios are radio frequency transmitters that were used to send radio signals over long distances. Hence, ham radios are analogous to short wave radios which allow you to communicate over long distances. In essence most short wave ham radios start working just above the AM range and they go up all the way to citizens band. In essence, ham radios start to operate just above 1.6 Megahertz and they end up working all the way up to the 27 MHz range. Of course, in the morning, higher Megahertz ranges may be preferable, while at night the lower frequency ranges are more popular.
In principle, the radio waves of ham radios have short wavelengths, but high frequencies which cause them to be packed with energy. They bounce of the ionosphere instead of being absorbed and as a result, this causes them to be able to travel to long distances. In fact, you may be surprised at how easy it can become to communicate, as you would be able to talk over long distances. It is not that surprising to talk over long distances with ham radios such as around the country, overseas and even across oceans. In some cases, you can also use ham radios to communicate with astronauts in the space station.
The use of the Ham Radio Equipment itself requires an understanding of concepts radio frequency technology as well. Ham Radios are as ever complex as govt and often at times as technical as maintaining a braodcast station. The Icom IC-706MKIIG for example has hundreds of controls for both the transmit, receive, and audio characteristics of the signal. The Icom IC-706MKIIG is one of many such complex gear used by Amaeteur Radio Operators.
Hence, you can use the ham radios for all kinds of amateur communication needs both for educational and entertainment purposes. You can use ham radios to further your education by speaking with people from different places. You can easily speak with other persons who speak foreign languages. Let's say that you are learning Spanish or French. Then you can easily find other amateur ham operators overseas who will be able to speak French or Spanish with you. Thus, it is possible for you to advance your foreign language skills. Moreover, if you are interested in a certain profession, you can easily find people of that profession and talk to them over a ham radio. You will be surprised at how open ham radio operators can be with each other as you will be able to get the help and the assistance that you need.
Moreover, speaking with other ham operators can be fun, as you would be able to meet multinational people all over your country and all over the globe with a ham radio. Especially for teenagers, there are special days in which teenagers everywhere will listen on their ham radios.
About The Author: The author writes about popular ham radios such as the Icom IC-706MKIIG mobile transceiver and on his website found at http://www.hamradioequipment.org/Icom-IC-706MKIIG.html you can find some of his ham radio equipment reviews.

This tasty fruit chock full with antioxidants and health benefits is already a part of many popular diets in South America, especially in Brazil. This fruit can be found on trees in the Amazon rain forest and is a part of the Cocoa family (Yes, Chocolate!). Because of that, it has a light cocoa taste to it and is a main ingredient in many South American countries to make gourmet deserts such as ice cream, tarts and fruit preserves. It resembles the shape of a coconut and has a fuzzy shell. There's a growing number of groups who swear by this super fruit, claiming it assists in labor pains and stomach discomfort.
Cupuacu fruit is sometimes compared to the popular Acai berry being that it is rich in nutrients and gives a big boost to the human body's immune system. It contains a special high potency level of phytonutrient polyphenols which is not seen in any other natural fruits. That's not all, it is also very rich in Vitamin B1, B2, B3 and Vitamin A and C. When tested in various lab settings, Cupuacu was found to contain high levels of amino acids, calcium and selenium. One of the biggest health benefits is that this amazing fruit helps boost the immune system, helping fight off illness and thus keeping the body running at peak performance. Another benefit of Cupuacu is the way it helps give the body energy without caffeine and does not give you that exhausted feeling afterwords. It's like a shot of B12 just in a delicious fruit form.
There are also many other health benefits such as: increased sex-drive, improved blood circulation, cardiovascular protection, improved mental focus, lower blood pressure, healthier looking skin and even reduced signs of aging. Not only does it give you an endless list of health benefits but it also taste delicious. You can get Cupuacu in it's typical fruit form, drink form, powder form, ice cream form or yogurt form. As it becomes more widely known there are bound to be new products offered here in North America featuring this amazing super food. Best of all, this fruit has so many uses that we're continually discovering new and unique ways for it to help with a serious problem!
The moisture retaining properties of this are making waves in the hair care world as well. Cupuacu is being hailed as an effective and lasting remedy for dry brittle hair.
Commercialization of the product in its various forms is not far behind. Already this is available in 2-4 percent concentrations in creams and lotions and in 10-12 percent concentration in hair care products. From the sound of it, ancillary products like lipstick, deodorants, soaps and yes, even ice cream are on their way. The trans-epidermal loss. Applied for hair products, products with spa appeal, soaps, make-ups.
As if its enriching qualities were not enough, it also provides broad spectrum protection against both UV-B and UV-A radiation. Although an SPF is not yet associated with it, its sun protection prowess is proven.

Online arcade games, similar to Flash games, have developed tremendously over the last decade. This has further been encouraged by the rapid strides in Web-based technologies, allowing online communities to participate in games development. Fast connections with higher bandwidths also make possible quick distribution of games, enabling Flash games to reach a wider audience. Kids, teenagers and bored employees frequently enjoy themselves playing these free Flash games that online arcades provide.
Amongst the many attractions of online arcade games is the fact that you can usually play them for free. These Flash games are typically played online, or after downloading them onto your PC. And unless there's a virus in your computer, you're not likely to lose or damage these downloaded games. Online arcade games aren't as graphically appealing or as intricately designed as are conventional platform games. There are different categories of games from which you can choose, so it shouldn't be a problem picking out a game that interests you.
Some online arcade games might be hard on the eyes due to the flashy ads and pop-ups that come up on sites featuring these games. People may get annoyed by these ads, but they are essential for keeping the games free. Website owners have to generate income in order to keep these sites running - hence the necessity for renting out advertisement space to businesses. You can get around this particular issue by installing a pop-up blocker.
A number of companies producing these online arcade games are creating more sophisticated games to be played online. Because of the amount of work that needs to be put into these games, manufacturers are compelled to charge a fee. Fortunately, developers of these games often make available a free trial or demo that permits the user to decide if it's worth spending money on. A simple Google search will get you lots of websites offering these online arcade games and you can join in on the fun. Many of these games have free trials that you can try out prior to committing to the service.
MMORPGs, which implies Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games, represent the most advanced form of Flash games. Many users can play these games at the same time. You will be asked to pay a monthly subscription fee for playing these games. However, for new users, there is typically a trial or demo version available. Some games permit free users to participate. But free users can access only the most basic package. MMORPG creators are constantly working on the game, introducing new features and new story plots for keeping the game interesting for its players.
Quite a number of online arcades allow you to register for free. Once you register, you get access to a host of functions. You are automatically made a member of that particular online arcade community. Your profile is available for other users to view. They can look at your profile picture or avatar and find out how many games you've played as well as your high scores. You can get in touch with others using forums or the private message - that is, PM - feature.
With many websites available packed with limitless fun, exciting free games, it's no surprise that Flash games are becoming more and more popular and getting lots of attention from Web users. All that's necessary to join in the fun is a computer, Internet connectivity and some spare time. So why not get started today itself!

I've never taken anything but straw polls on the matter, but ask any woman what she wants in a man, and "confidence" is sure to be one of the top three or four character traits. So it's worth spending some time asking ourselves what it is and how to discover it inside of yourself in order to get women. Our Unbreakable program really drives into the heart of it, but I think we can do the subject matter some service here without spending 30 pages on it.
Let's start with a definition. To me, confidence is a feeling you have that drives bold actions towards things you want. It is having some faith in yourself that when you speak up, people will listen, and when you go for something, you'll get it when you want women, you will get women. It's trusting yourself, but beyond that, it's a force that drives action.
When you make the approach, or go for the kiss, or invite her back to yours, it's because you trust that she's going to like you and want to go along with it and you will arouse women. And if she doesn't, confidence is having the faith in your skills to overcome her protestations. And if she rejects you, confidence is having the feeling that you're still an awesome guy and can still attract women.
Confidence builds on a lot of things. Knowing that you have skills gives you confidence. Knowing that you have more important things in your life – a solid foundation – gives you confidence. Knowing what you want and being clear about it gives you confidence. So does having a sense of entitlement.
Ahh, and that's the rub, right there.
Confidence doesn't actually have to be based on any great soul search – it can merely come from feeling like the world owes you twenty times over, then going out and collecting that debt. Some people are just born and/or raised that way.
Now, what usually happens in life is that we keep on going after what we want, until a roadblock is thrown in front of us. If we manage to avoid that roadblock, or blast right through it, we build some confidence and continue to attract women. But if it stops us, diverts us, or worst of all – if we crash into it and body parts go flying – we have to have a serious think about both the direction we were headed, and how quickly we could get there.
Let's consider this in practice. When a third grade boy goes to hold a girl's hand and, after she casually slaps him away once, she then accepts his romantic little overture, something clicks inside this little boy's head and reinforces the notion that he can get away with such behavior and still get women. By fifth grade, he's planting kisses on the cheeks of any girl he can convince to join him under the jungle gym, and he's full-on smooching (no tongue, of course) six months later. Players are made, not born… and this player just happened to get a head start on the rest of us. He encountered a small roadblock in third grade, drove right through it, and every subsequent time that he's seen a similar looking roadblock, he knows what to do and how to attract women.
You can probably imagine the flipside of this story. The boy who got held up by that roadblock convinced himself that women didn't like him, and continued to tell himself that story well into his early adult years and cannot get women. Then one day, he realizes that he's not very confident around women, can't get women and finds himself reading this book.
Lack of confidence doesn't always have such obscure causes, though. Sometimes we gather a fairly large head of steam, then run into a roadblock sizeable enough to compel us into a Come to Jesus moment. Again, we can use a story to illustrate – Christian has volunteered one from his life.
In the late winter / early spring of 2006, life was humming along nicely for him. He had a great circle of friends, was the CEO of a promising beverage startup, and was dating a really hot model. But within a three-week period, everything turned around – his company failed to clear a critical regulatory hurdle, leading to a battle with his partner that caused him to lose his stake in the company, and left him nearly six figures in debt. His girlfriend left him, and took with her big parts of their mutual social circle. And his best friend stopped hanging out with him… and started spending a lot of time with his now ex-girlfriend.
I've had my share of humdingers, but nothing this acute in such short a timeframe. And it perfectly illustrates the point; Christian was a cocky mofo in the months leading up to this experience. But the subsequent months were spent reflecting upon what had happened, and more importantly, what mistakes he'd made that led to such circumstances. Had he failed to surround himself with the right people? Had he been careless in managing his business? Had he seen warning signs and ignored them?
Christian is a bit more confident these days – you can be assured of that – but it comes from knowing himself a better and trusting himself more.
One common thread in any story about confidence – whether it be those illustrated above, or those from any other confident person you'll talk to, is the following: their confidence came from clearing the roadblocks and still knowing they can attract women. That's always how it is. You can prepare to clear the roadblocks if you see them ahead, or you can scout for alternate routes, or you can be lucky enough to have great reflexes so that you're able to adopt on the fly. But at the end of the day, true confidence comes from getting past them and getting closer to your goals and knowing you can still get women.
The metaphor here should be obvious. Becoming confident with women ultimately requires that you become successful with women and know how to attract women. There's no shortcut or instant, Matrix-style brain download that can compete with real experience and real success. The neural pathways in your brain have a way of wiring themselves through experiences that no amount of cogitating and preparatory thinking can achieve. In that way, it's a sort of weird Catch-22. So how do you get around it?
Of course, there are lots of things that can boost your confidence with women prior to achieving of all-out pimpdom. Success in any other part of your life has spillover effects into your pursuit of the feminine. Dressing better, making cooler friends, getting in shape, learning a new skill or hobby… those all help, and we'll be getting into them in a bit. Even hypnosis CDs and other such self-help programs can contribute. But if you spend too much time dwelling on the periphery of the issue of confidence with women, without dealing with it directly, you're just postponing the inevitable.
How to break the logjam? Well, it's kind of weird… but you just start doing the things you need to do. The things we'll cover later in this book. And even some things we don't cover. You just go do it, and all of a sudden, good stuff starts happening. You feel better about yourself for going after it. You stop having those regretful nights of "what if I'd talked to her?" or "what if I'd escalated?". Whether you succeed or fail, you know you went for it. Then you regroup, figure out how to overcome the next roadblock, and go back out there.
You just keep doing. You get out there and you do some more, until those roadblocks aren't stopping you anymore. It's frustrating sometimes, and depending on how well you learn and how devoted you are, it could take a little bit of time or a lot. But the confidence from being a man who does, who takes action, is a force to be reckoned with.
And what is action's opposite? Analysis, and paralysis. Your time as a single man is precious and to be enjoyed; waste it at your own peril, and eventual regret. English poet Andrew Marvell, attempting to seduce a young lady, and having no unlimited nationwide text plan available in the 17th century, put it thusly in rhymed verse:
Had we but world enough and time,
This coyness, lady, were no crime.
The grave's a fine and private place,
But none, I think, do there embrace.
Your days on this terra firma are limited, and the longer that you postpone your pursuit of the feminine, the closer you are to that fine and private place.
Action is all that matters. Repeated, disciplined action and eventual success breeds confidence like nothing else.

Home ownership has long been part of the American Dream and one of the best investments that most people will make in their lifetime. Whether you are new to the home buying process or someone who has bought and sold many times before, the road to home ownership requires planning and attention to detail. The following 10 steps to owning a home will give you a guided path that will help make your new home purchase go smoothly.
1. Understand Your Budget – Before you delve into all of the listings of beautiful homes that could be yours, it is important to start with a realistic look at your finances, so that you understand how large of a down payment you can make and what type of monthly payments you can afford.
2. Get a Realtor – Your Realtor will be the best source of information on the current housing market in your area, as well as real estate laws, negotiation techniques, and the different trades and companies who you will need to work with before the home becomes your very own.
3. Loan Pre-Approval – Speaking with a mortgage broker or your banks loan officer will help you understand your pre-approval limits, financing range, and probable interest rates. This is just the first step of the mortgage process, but these numbers combined with the budget numbers from the beginning will give you a solid idea of what home prices you can work within as you search for your new home.
4. Home Search – Now that you have the necessary numbers, it's time to go take a look at the homes in your price range. Research the neighborhoods and school systems, as well as the proximity to important places like work and shopping. This is where your Realtor will really prove their value and help make sure that you find a home that meets all of your needs.
5. Full Loan Approval – After you have been pre-approved and found a mortgage broker who you would like to work on your loan, it is vital to gather all of the important paperwork and submit the loan application. Once your application has gone through underwriting and you have received full approval for getting a loan, you will be able to lock your interest rate and assure the home seller that your offer to purchase can be financed.
6. Make an Offer – When you have found that perfect home in your price range, you are ready to make an offer to purchase and put a home under contract. Here again your Realtor will be tremendously helpful as they make sure that proper wording is put into the purchase offer to allow for inspections and possible repairs, and guide you through the negotiation process until you reach the price and conditions that satisfies both buyer and seller.
7. Home Inspection – Inspecting your future home is essential so that you are assured there will be no expensive repairs that are required shortly after purchasing the home. If repairs are needed to the roof or homes mechanical systems, the well written offer mentioned above will help define whether the price is reduced or the seller completes the repairs before closing.
8. Insurance – Home owners insurance and title insurance are important parts of the buying process. If you do not know of a local company to work with, your Realtor will have a few recommendations. Aside from being required by the mortgage company, insuring your home and making sure it has a clean title will help prevent any future troubles with the property and your legal ownership.
9. Solve Last Minute Problems – As smooth as we would like the home buying process to be, there are many people involved in each step of the purchase, which means that some problems will arise. For example, mortgage underwriters will need some last minute paperwork, or the inspection will reveal a major repair that requires further price negotiation. Problems and hiccups are the normal. This is again where your Realtors knowledge and expertise will help guide you over the last few hurdles.
10. Closing – Finally you have reached the end of the process, signed the ownership papers, and received the keys to your new home. All the hard work and planning has paid off and now you are the proud owner of your very own home. It's time to unpack and celebrate.
These are the 10 steps to home ownership that every buyer will need to go through before having the keys of their new home handed to them. By working with knowledgeable professionals and following a solid plan, home ownership can be right around the corner for you.

The word condotel is relatively new to the real estate vocabulary, but it is an important term for buyers to understand if they are interested in purchasing a condo in a resort location. High rise condos overlooking beautiful stretches of coastal shoreline have long been a favorite type of real estate for second homes, vacation getaways, real estate investments, and for those who are looking for a new type of well located, low maintenance, luxury home. The introduction of condotels has created a new dimension to the typical condo that will be explained in this article.
What is a Condotel?
To begin with, we need to understand what a condotel is and how it differs from a standard condo. Sometimes referred to as condo hotels or hotel-condos, this popular new type of real estate consists of high rise condos that are operated and managed as luxury hotels. This means that the condo units are individually owned, but branded together as a Westin, Ritz-Carlton, or other luxury hotel chain.
The typical luxury high rise condominium lacks this same luxury hotel branding and marketing, which sets a condotel apart from standard condos. The hotel works as the management company for the building, scheduling short term or long term stays around the times that you are occupying your condo. In addition, you get all of the luxuries of a world class hotel at home. Room service, gym and spa facilities, and a friendly staff to help answer your questions are just a few of the added perks that are missing from most traditional condo towers.
Advantages of a Condotel Over Condo Ownership
There are many reasons why condo hotels have become so popular over the last few years, especially when compared to a typical condo purchase.
Headache Free Investment Property or Second Home
When it comes to furnishing, maintaining, or renting out your hotel condominium, you are free from the decision making process. The hotel management company maintains the condo as they would any hotel room in one of their prestigious locations. This means that design and décor is kept similar from condo to condo, and the day to day running of the hotel takes the burden of making sure your property is well maintained out of your hands, while ensuring rental income when you are not using the property yourself.
Tax Advantages
Condo-hotel ownership that is not used as a primary residence can have an accelerated depreciation schedule that reduces the 39 year period to 27.5 years, 15, and even as little as 5 years. This accelerated depreciation means significant tax bill reductions in the years it is used. Your accountant will be able to explain how this can be helpful when applied to your specific financial situation and tax expectations.
Disadvantages of a Condotel
There are a few differences potential condotel owners need to know about before they decide to make their purchase. To begin with, many people prefer to add their own personal touches to their second homes and vacation properties. This isn't possible with a condo hotel because the décor is mandated by the hotel to ensure that rooms are similar in look and amenities across the entire complex. In addition, those owners who would like to spend time in their condotel must make reservations weeks ahead of time for their own properties because the hotel service may book the room far in advance.
Now that you have a better understanding of what condotel means and how they differ from an average condo, you can make the decision as to what type of real estate will work best for you.

Having facial fat and wanting to lose face fat always go hand in hand. After all, carrying the extra weight on your face is never something that anyone wants to do. You can have lowered self esteem and less success in many areas simply because you are uncomfortable with how you look, as well. One thing is for sure, and that is that no one looks better with extra fat covering the features that they want the world to see! Luckily, there are many different methods for losing this kind of fat without the use of surgery.
Lose Face Fat with Facial Exercises
One of the easiest methods of losing facial fat would be to do some simple facial exercises on a regular basis. These can help not just with facial fat, but also with crow's feet and other issues. You can close your eyes firmly, then open them, all while stretching your skin from the corners of your eyes and then upwards from your eyebrows with your fingers. For your neck area, you can place your palm underneath your chin, then tilt your head backward to stretch the area and move your lower lips upwards to feel the skin gently stretch. These are just a couple of examples of outstanding facial exercises to help you lose face fat, wrinkles and other problems.
Watch your Prescription and Over-the-Counter Medications
Another tip for losing face fat has to do with watching what you put into your body via prescription and over-the-counter medications. While most medications will not give you trouble, there are many that could have side effects, including increased fat in your face, neck and other areas. Obviously, you will want to avoid such medications for sure.
Use Makeup Techniques to Hide Face Fat
If you use the proper techniques, you can use makeup to help camouflage fatty areas on your face and neck. The key with makeup use, as well as how you dress is to not accentuate the problem areas, but instead to draw attention elsewhere and conceal any problems that you can. Many men also use facial hair to take away some of the roundness of their faces, as well as to give them more definition in the affected areas.
Improve your Lifestyle
Of course, the number one way to lose face fat without resorting to surgery is definitely by improving your lifestyle with a healthier diet and regular exercise. Any other method will pale in comparison to the improvement that you will see even with a few workouts of a half hour each week and some minor changes to your diet. The key is to take small steps instead of trying to change everything over night. Cut out junk food if you can, then increase your consumption of healthy foods, then make more improvements, and so on.
When you want to lose face fat, remember that we can't choose what body areas we lose fat from and in which order. You may lose a lot of weight in your body before you lose all of your facial fat, but if you use these tips and show some determination, you will get where you want to go!
