The private label bottled drinking water is a growth industry with double digit growth and profit opportunities for the entrepreneur. But like most opportunities care must be taken to seek out and exploit the most profitable niche in the market.

A recent market study examined the growth and potential of the market for bottled water and concluded:

"The bottled water industry grew about 10% in 2005, while carbonated soft drinks revenue is essentially flat," says Gary Hemphill, marketing director of BMC. "There are a couple of things driving the market—sure, people like to have a tap water substitution, but it's really driven by people's demands for a healthier alternative to the wide array of beverages on the market."

Private label water is the fastest growing segment of the overall bottled water market and its future growth is considered by many to be "explosive".

Private label water combines the purity of refreshing drinking water with consumable advertising that is designed to an individual customer's specification. The water is popular and the branding message, if designed properly, serves to promote business.

Almost every company in the United States can benefit from private label water with a custom branding message. The opportunities are huge, the market is largely untapped and the private label product is viewed by customers as a cost effective, power way to promote a brand message.

The bottled water industry consists of a number of interrelated parts including research and development, manufacturing, marketing and sales. Much of the business model however, requires significant amounts of capital and has high barriers to entry for most entrepreneurs.

Nevertheless, with the advent of the internet and e-commerce, an aggressive sales focused entrepreneur can develop a substantial profitable private label business through affiliate programs .

    What Are Affiliate Programs?

Affiliate programs are revenue sharing programs between an entrepreneur and a company that manufactures and sells a product or service. Affiliates are rewarded with referral payments for sending customers to the manufacturer's Web site. The process works as follows:

    • The affiliate place links on its site to a particular manufacturer's Web site.

    • When a visitor clicks on the link and makes a purchase the affiliate earns a referral fee that is a percentage of the total sale.

    • The best manufacturer sites have automatic payment mechanisms and real time accounting.

But an efficient affiliate site requires planning and work. Many affiliates believe they will be able to just put up a Web site, establish some affiliate links and sit back and wait for streams of cash to start coming in. Care must be taken however to be truly successful. Consider the following:

    • What type of Web site should you have to make money through affiliate programs?

    • What are the best programs for your site?

    • How will you effectively market your site and the underlying product?

    • How can you find niche markets?

Similar to other facets of developing a home business, careful planning is needed to map out a profitable strategy for building a home based business using affiliate programs - a strategy that will allow you to build income through content in a sustainable, month after month way.

The issue is – what are the steps required to develop an income producing web site using affiliate programs that generate consistent, substantial revenue?

Tip Number 1: Align With a Manufacturer That Produces A Quality Product With Unique Features and Manages a Robust Affiliate Program.

As any good sales person will tell you, a high quality product is mandatory for sales success. Look for a company that manufactures (resellers add little value) a quality product that is recognized as different in the marketplace. There are many types of water in the market but purified water is clearly recognized as the highest quality.

After identifying a manufacturer with a quality product offering, chose one with a robust, profitable affiliate program. This should include at a minimum:

    • commitment to affiliate success.

    • commission plans that are substantial.

    • a website that allows for easy ordering and accrual and payment of commissions.

    • support for marketing, selling and booking of orders.

Tip Number 2: Identify a Niche Market and Create a Plan to Penetrate That Niche Deeply

Avoid the tendency to mass market and "shoot at the flock". Mass marketing is beyod the scope of most companies and entrepreneurs. There are many profitable niche markets that have significant growth potential. Identify a niche market, understand the buying patterns of that niche and penetrate the market. It takes time and work but done right this effort is very profitable.

Some examples of niche markets: hotels (small and large), health spas, golf courses, gyms, car dealerships, organizations and health clubs to name a few. Almost any organization is interested in promoting their brand and brand message in a cost effective way.

Tip Number 3: Create an Eye Catching Website With a link to The Manufacturer

One of the advantages of an affiliate program is that profitable business can be developed with only a nominal investment. Given today's technical level of internet development expertise, creation of an attractive web site is easy and cost effective. The critical part of the website however is the creation of a focused message presented in an attractive manner.

Following the creation of the site, establish a banner link with the chosen manufacturing partner that will direct affiliate inquires to the site for order creation and booking of the affiliate commission.

The manufacturer's site must be able to design and produce labels, provide powerful e-commerce facilities for order booking and shipment and include a facility for the booking and payment of commissions to the affiliate.

Tip Number 4: Create and Implement a Sales Strategy

A clear sales strategy is the most effective path to success and profits in the private label business. Identify in writing the target niche, strategy to penetrate that niche, buying patterns, target prospects and communication material (sales collateral) and tactics to sell targeted prospects. Then implement the strategy in an organized manner and make adjustments to the strategy as conditions change. Remember the old sales adage "Always Be Closing".

Tip Number 5: Follow Up on All Orders and Provide Feedback to Customers

As part of any effective sales effort, follow up and feedback with and to customers is critical to maintaining good customer service and obtaining repeat orders. One of the most powerful aspects of private label water sales is that happy customers tend to be repeat customers. Creation of a long customer list with satisfied customers will generate a steady stream of repeat orders and significant cash flow.

Every day more and more people are realizing the benefits of adopting a healthy life style and one of the basic ingredients of good health is healthy drinking water. This is true not only for the individual, but for their families as well. Starting young children off on healthy living will go a long way to ensure future longevity.

Tap water is not the answer. Although regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), tap water is far from pure. The only thing that EPA regulation ensures is that tap water does not exceed a minimum level of toxins and other contaminants. As soon as people discovered how many toxins and added chemicals are contained in the water that comes out of their taps, they often explore bottled water service for the home.

What used to be affordable only for business is now available for individual home makers and families as well.

It seems is that of every other house on the block now has a bottled water service. More and more people are realizing just how important it is to have a convenient source of pure, refreshing water at home as well as at the office. Many bottled water service providers have tailored their home delivery offerings to fit both individual and family needs. As a result, the consumer is now able to sign up for home bottled water service that serves their needs and is affordable at the same time.

Tips for Home Delivery Water Service:

First of all, make sure you know what you are getting for your money. There are many types of water on the market but the highest quality water is considered by many to be purified water using a distilled, oxygenated process.

In terms of delivery, quality water suppliers often set up a plan whereby you can actually tell the company how much water you believe you require so they can give you a solid estimate as to what you'll need. These plans are tailored to the budget requirements of the consumer.

However, you have to bear in mind that there's a lot more to bottled water service than the water. Quality water suppliers also offer high grade accessories and customer service.

Next, you'll also need the water cooler unit, which can contain a heating element as well, cups and you will want ongoing maintenance in case of mechanical failure. There are many grades of coolers on the market of differing levels of quality and price but it is best to spend a few dollars more per month to get a quality cooler that will provide years of service.

In addition, consider the quality of the water bottles. Some quality suppliers deliver water bottles with spill proof caps and easy carrying handles. This makes use of the water easy, safe and convenient.

Customer service is an important part of the delivery service. It is best to deal with a supplier that has a culture of customer service with ready access to customer service personnel (as opposed to a phone tree or answering machine) for service issues. Some water suppliers have invested in e-commerce sites that afford easy ordering off of the internet.

    Take Care in Contracting

Be careful of long term commitments with hidden cancellation fees. Before signing a contract, make sure you know what you're paying for. Also, you should ask if there is any flexibility to the plans. There are some services that you may not want so there's no sense in paying for them. There are a small number of suppliers who don't require long term contracts and have enough confidence in the quality of their products and service to operate without a contract. These are the suppliers who are best to deal with.

If you must sign a contract, always check the fine print so the supplier doesn't take advantage. Beware, many suppliers will. Some bottled water services assess fees and penalties if your actual usage varies from the amount stated in your plan. There is usually a penalty if you terminate the contract before it expires. Some suppliers charge delivery fees and fuel surcharges. Quality suppliers do not.

If you simply want to try out the bottled water service for a while, avoid signing any long term contracts until you feel comfortable with what you'll consume. The more you know about the plan right from the start, the less chance there will be of encountering problems later on. Try to choose a supplier that wants to work with individual consumers, operates with integrety and provides customer oriented customer service.

After arranging for bottled water service in the home, many consumers notice a distinct improvement in the taste of coffee, tea, and meals. In addition, pure water consumers feel much better knowing that their drinking water is clean and pure and the basis of a healthy lifestyle for themselves and their family.

Almost every company discusses, at length, the need for customer service and the significance of supplying true excellence to its customers. However, very few actually follow through with what it takes to attain this excellence. This is particularly true in the bottled water business since not all providers share the opinion that customer service is of the utmost importance in any business.

The bottled water industry services a wide customer base with numerous companies and individual clients. The industry is characterized by a small number of very large firms and a substantial number of relatively small consumers with specific geographic niches.

    The Nature of the Business:

The bottled water business consists of the manufacturing and delivery of spring or purified water in small packages or large containers such as 5 gallon bottles. The product is delivered directly to the customer's site in either company owned delivery vehicles or through common carriers.

Each individual bottled water company provides an implicit promise to its customers that it will manufacture the highest quality product and deliver that product at the agreed upon time.

    Many, Many Customers:

The customer base in the bottled water industry is very diverse and ranges from individual consumers with single bottle requirements to large multi-cooler business accounts with significant water needs. Each client has its own specific requirements, which are met by the company providing the services and product.

The Customer Service Promise and the History of the Business:

In the past, various bottled water companies have focused on process rather than customer service. Many firms acted on the belief that the delivery of a superior product completed their obligation to the customer.

However, the customer service promise includes much more than a simple delivery of a quality product and requires additional services such as on time delivery, proper pricing, responding to additional delivery requests and other specific needs. One of the most important customer responsibilities is the ability to communicate their concerns not only to the customer service departments, but also to the heads of each company.

Current Status of the Industry (The Unfulfilled Promise):

Although the bottled water industry may seem rather simple, in reality, it is a very complex business. High quality water must be produced and delivered to the customer's location on time and as ordered. Often enough, customer requests change without warning, which is one reason why flexibility is important to the success of the bottled water company.

Frequently, the water needs of the customer exceed original expectations, which causes for shortages occur. However, in order to avoid such a situation as this, the supplier would have already invested in the communication and stock infrastructure to meet all of its clients' demands.

For those suppliers who private label water as a means of customer advertising, the design, printing and durability of the label on the bottle is a critical factor. Therefore, companies creating labels of lesser quality in the design and printing of the labels clearly provide a substandard product to their customers.

    Communication and the Customer Promise:

Many bottled water suppliers neglect the reality that proper communication channels serve as the basis for fulfilling the customer promise. An overall reliance on voicemail and/or e-mail, an inability to respond quickly to customer needs and the absence of true customer service assistance has created a negative impression of the industry for many customers.

A proper communication system has many technical elements but it should begin with a willingness to include human contact in the communication link. No customer enjoys being dropped into the voicemail void, therefore, the bottled water suppliers that continue to prosper are the companies that uphold the customer service promises and guarantee personally answered customer service calls, which they promptly use to respond to client inquiries and concerns.

Accept Responsibility and Do What It Takes to Provide Customer Satisfaction:

There are many excuses for failure to perform but the bottled water suppliers who are truly world class are those who accept responsibility and persevere with their customer satisfaction guarantees. This often includes obtaining little or no profit on a particular transaction in order to fulfill the customer service promise.

Size is not the determinant in the customer service equation. Often, smaller companies are ready, willing and able to better fulfill the customer promise.

Look for a supplier with a track record of not only achieving the customer promise but also one with a history of fulfillment of the promise.

Events are an important part of corporate life. A well planned event can forcefully convey a clear corporate message and engage participants in the respective corporate culture.

Most companies and organizations hold events for a number of reasons. Company picnics, holiday parties, new product introductions, sales and planning meetings and annual shareholder's meetings are but a few of the occasions that mark milestones of the organization. These meetings require detailed planning and resources and many organizations elect to utilize specialists in managing events.

Event planning is a complex undertaking with the coordination of vendor delivery schedules and maintaining critical timeline requirements. In addition to the logistics involved in planning the meeting most planners develop a theme that captures the essence and intent of the meeting. The theme adds continuity and acts as a reminder of the event for the future.

    The Value of the Theme

A common theme brings participants together and allows the event organizers to convey a strong message about the event. The theme is usually expressed in communication and promotional material and documents related to the event. Effective communication of the theme is critical to the success of the event.

Since there are a variety of themes to choose from for any event, care must be taken to select the best theme for the occasion and to properly communicate the theme to the audience.

    Promotional Items and Quality Communication

The theme is an important element of communications. A quality message, consistent with the overall theme message of the company, is required for effective communication. One aspect of communication is the use of personalized promotional items, effective banners and unique giveaways.

These items can be designed to impart an effective message and the use of high quality personalized giveaways creates a lasting impression and reinforces the event theme.

Private Label Drinking Water as an Effective Promotional Item

Private label drinking water is an ideal and powerful way to promote an event theme. Essentially private labeling allows businesses to design and develop a label with a custom message and theme and attach that label to a bottle of healthy drinking water. A result of this process is the creation and promotion of a clear message that is tailored to the event

Because of the immediate and permanent nature of the bottled water product, consumable advertising is created that leaves a lasting message in the mind of the event participant.

Some of the benefits of private labeled water include:

    • A high-quality, effective and custom message.

    • Messages can be modified to reflect events like corporate meetings, new product introductions and promotions.

    • Individual users often carry the water with them and the event message is further extended and promoted.

    • Pure water is popular and universally accepted as contributing to good health. The message of the private label effectively reaches more prospects as use grows.

    • Effective cost is low and response to the event message is immediate.

    • Consumable, portable advertising creates a lasting message and impression.

What to Look for in a Private Label Water Supplier

There are a number of private label water suppliers but they vary widely in the quality of their product offerings. There are three areas to investigate when choosing a supplier:

    Quality of Water

Events with a large number of participants require proper hydration with water of the highest quality. High quality water in terms of health and taste is also critical for the acceptance of the theme and event message. If the water is low quality or tastes bad then the message will fail. The best quality water on the market today is purified using a distillation/ filtration/ oxygenation process that removes all impurities, including all bacteria, and creates a light, refreshing taste.

Quality of Label Design and Production

The label is the message part of the product and poor-quality labels send a poor-quality message. Production of a poor-quality label is a waste of money and adversely affects the message and theme.

It is very important to know that the vast majority (almost all) of the private label opportunities in this country come from water resellers (not bottlers) with desktop-model "thermal" (or "thermal wax") printing devices with a quality level that cannot compare well to even consumer-grade inkjet printing devices widely available for less than $200 at your local electronics store. These label printers are very cheap in both quality and cost, typically ranging from $10-20k depending on configuration, and are widely used throughout the private label water industry because of their low cost.

In sharp contrast, a quality label, ie, one that looks like a top-shelf brand that you might find in your local gourmet grocery store, needs to be produced with professional-quality equipment using professional-grade printing equipment. There are three types of printing equipment that can produce a high-quality label.

    1. Rotary offset lithography;

    2. Flexography; and

    3. High-quality digital presses.

For most smaller runs (under about 10,000 units), digital equipment offered by Heidelberg or HP is the most cost effective solution, but instead of $10-20k, the minimum equipment costs for these professional solutions range from $750k to $1.25M per station.

These facts are very important to understand when choosing a private label bottler — because those who sell low-quality labels would have you believe that nothing better is available because of the short runs required by private label customers. Nothing could be further from the truth.

In order to succeed, your label must be professionally designed and produced with high-quality materials using a printing process that renders a high-quality result. Waterproof lamination is also required for long lasting labels. This is easily achieved for an affordable unit cost using the right equipment for the job.

    Quality of Customer Service

The design and production of private labeled drinking water is complex and requires intense interaction between the customer and supplier. Communication and a culture of customer service excellence is a prerequisite to the creation of an effective theme message and a successful event. Without a significant commitment to customer service on the part of the supplier, the impact of the theme message will fail.

Choose a quality supplier to help develop and communicate your message and to create success for the corporate event.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

All firms need to establish a strong brand in order to effectively compete with and be distinguished from other companies similar to theirs. A strong brand allows individual ideals that convey the durability and power of the company, its products and service offerings, in addition to showing how its offering is distinctive from other products; it clearly expresses features and benefits that appeal to the marketplace and individual customers.

The companies that produce a clear statement about the strengths of their respective brands generally enjoy greater overall success in business.

A strong brand will achieve a number of results. The brand name will identify the products or services offered and will classify the quality of these offerings in the marketplace. Additionally, the core values of the product and firm should be evident and the mission and specialty of the company should be clearly defined. The net result of brand creation should be an expression of the personality and character of the firm and a representation of the quality of the product offering.

    Product and Service Branding:

Branding, which is not only limited to products, allows for individual service firms to often act as aggressive branders. Successful service providers are those that identify a need in the marketplace and develop a message that appeals to the market; this message identifies how the firm is best able to add value to the marketplace.

Objectives of a product are exceedingly important in that the objective of the message is to target prospective customers on an emotional level and provide reassurance that the brand will be strong and credible and will deliver with success. After the message is successfully transmitted, the potential customer should be motivated to buy and, if the message is powerful enough, brand loyalty should be established.

Sell on Quality Not on Price:

Studies have shown that companies that compete solely on price are almost guaranteed to fail. No matter how much firms discount their prices in order to capture the sale, in a price cutting environment there will always be another player willing to reduce prices even lower to maintain the level of competition. The result of price cutting is that all firms in the market run the risk of selling below cost and, if cut rate continues, bankruptcy is a high possibility.

Companies that prosper in a market are those that can clearly distinguish their offering from those of the competition. Most effective are those that develop a clear message of the benefits of their product/service offering. Development of a clear message requires an analysis of the strengths of the firm and strategic thinking as to the portion of a market that the firm wants to capture. Following the creation of the branding message, decisions are required to promote the brand most effectively in the marketplace.

    Broadcast the Message:

A brand message that is not properly delivered is a misuse of time and resources. Even the best and most efficient brand message fails if it is not marketed correctly to potential customers and businesses. Nevertheless, care must be exercised when promoting a brand because promotion is expensive and extremely unpredictable.

There are many avenues to properly promote a brand, some being more effective than others.

The options for promotion range from print, radio and television advertising to private mailers and public relations. Each of these techniques varies in price and effectiveness and generally requires multiple exposures to be successful. Many companies dedicate substantial resources to brand promotion using traditional techniques and advertising.

Public promotion budgets often represent a substantial portion of a company's operating budget. For smaller firms traditional promotion can be a tremendous burden often producing either limited or long term results.

Private Label Drinking Water as a Powerful Brand Builder:

A new and effective method of brand promotion is becoming very popular, particularly for small to medium sized companies with limited advertising and public relations budgets. Private label drinking water has captured the imagination of those companies wishing to convey their message in clear and lasting terms. It is bottled water that includes a custom label designed to customer specifications that convey a clear message. Private label drinking water has many uses and applications, which are as follows:

    • High quality drinking water with custom designed labels suggests a long lasting message without the need for various costly exposures. Prospective customers and clients often keep individual bottles for future use where the image can be viewed repeatedly.

    • Private label drinking water can be best described as portable advertising that is cost effective and conveys a sustainable message.

    • Custom labels can be easily modified for specific occasions.

    • Additional supplies of water can be ordered for meetings, events and public displays.

    • Cost is low and water offerings can be coupled with sales opportunities at sporting and other public events.

    Quality is Critical:

Any type of brand message requires a concerted effort. A low quality, substandard presentation coupled with a powerful message will fail if it is perceived to be a poor quality product. This is particularly true with private label water.

The first level of quality involves the water in the bottle. Low quality, impure water will often result in dissatisfaction and impairment of the message, therefore, the best way to ensure high quality water is to use ultra pure water that is distilled and oxygenated for highest quality and the best taste.

Next, it is imperative that the label design look professional, address all aspects of the desired message and be configured in an attractive, noticeable design. Lastly the label must be printed using a high quality, high resolution printer on laminated water proof label stock. During the creation and printing process, quality control checks are required in order to ensure the presentation of the most effective branding message.

Creating a powerful brand is critical to the success of any firm in the marketplace. The creation process is only as effective as the expression of the brand message. Many firms can either succeed or fail as a result of the perception of their brand in the marketplace; therefore, the use of private label water is a desirable tool for brand success.

    Tea the Drink

There are two forms of tea that often cause confusion in the tea world: tea the drink and tea the meal. Tea the drink is made from the Camellia Sinensis plant and from the processing of the plant white, green, oolong, and black teas are produced. The basic teas are also often blended with other plants like vanilla, mint and melon as well as flavors like Oil of Bergamot to make Earl Grey Tea,

The beverage is made by steeping processed leaves, buds, or twigs of the tea bush in hot water for a few minutes. The processing can include oxidation, heating, drying, and the addition of other herbs, flowers, spices, and fruits.

The term "herbal tea" usually refers to infusions of fruit or of herbs (such as rosehip, chamomile, or jiaogulan) that contain no Camellia Sinensis.

    Tea the Meal

Tea the meal on the other hand involves tea the drink as an important part but really is directed toward social and family gatherings where tea and food are often consumed together.

Generally speaking , the tea meal became most popular and refined in England but spread to English speaking countries or former English colonies as well. Tea meals are also celebrated in other countries in differing forms.

The key distinction between differing tea meals is the time of day, type of food served and the location of serving.

    Afternoon tea

Afternoon tea (or Low tea) is a light meal typically eaten at 4:00 pm. It originated in Britain, though various places in the former British Empire also have such a meal. However, most Britons no longer eat such a meal.

Traditionally, loose tea would be served in a teapot with milk and sugar. This would be accompanied by various sandwiches (customarily cucumber, egg and cress, tuna, ham, and smoked salmon), scones (with butter, clotted cream and jam) and usually cakes and pastries. Traditionally the tea and food would be served on a lounge (or low) table.

While afternoon tea used to be an everyday event, nowadays it is more likely to be a treat in a hotel, café, or tea shop, although many Britons still have a cup of tea and slice of cake or chocolate at teatime. Accordingly, many hotels now market and promote afternoon teas.

    High tea

To the uninitiated, High tea may be a confusing term.

High tea is an early evening meal, typically eaten between 5:00 and 6:00 pm. It would be eaten as a substitute for both afternoon tea and the evening meal. The term comes from the meal being eaten at the 'high' (main) table, instead of the smaller lounge (low) table. It is now largely replaced by the later meal tea.

It would usually consist of cold meats, eggs and/or fish, cakes and sandwiches. In a family, it tended to be less formal and is an informal snack (featuring sandwiches, cookies, pastry, fruit and the like) or else it is the main evening meal.

On farms, rural areas or other working class environments, high tea would be the traditional, substantial meal eaten by workers immediately after nightfall, and would combine afternoon tea with the main evening meal.

In recent years, High tea somehow became a word for exquisite afternoon tea. Such usage is incorrect. High Tea is not, in traditional terms, afternoon tea.

    Main evening meal

Tea is the main evening meal, even if the diners are not drinking tea. It is traditionally eaten at 5 o'clock in the evening, though often it is later, as late as 9pm.

In many rural parts of the United Kingdom tea as a meal is synonymous with dinner in Standard English. Under such usage, the midday meal is sometimes termed dinner, rather than lunch.

    The United States

    The term high tea is sometimes used in the United States to refer to afternoon tea or the tea party, a very formal, ritualized gathering in which tea, thin sandwiches and small cakes are served in an exquisite setting. This usage comes from misunderstanding the term high to mean formal. Most tea drinkers understand that such usage is incorrect;

This form of tea is increasingly served in high-end US hotels, often during the winter holidays and other tourist seasons, and many big-city teahouses, where it is usually correctly described as Afternoon tea

    Social Implications

The tea party is still occasionally given in the US, usually for a special occasion. This occasion is a formal one, but otherwise afternoon tea is an informal gathering of friends. The tea party often became a place of intimate conversation and social intercourse.

Tea is a very important part of many people's lives and it is important for those who drink tea or participate in tea meals to understand the correct terminology.

Addiction to smoking is something that affects many people around the world. With the wide availability of cigarettes in today's world, it is extremely easy to get hooked early to nicotine and tobacco. Everyone knows that cigarettes can cause serious health problems, but still people smoke. People smoke for a whole range of reasons, but none of them can seem to put down the cigarettes when they need to. In the end, it comes down to a mental issue that prevents people from being able to stop.

People begin smoking for a bunch of different reasons. Some do it because smoking is "cool", while others do it because their friends are doing it. Few people simply go into a store and decide that they would like to buy a pack of cigarettes. It just does not happen that way. Outside influences are very important to smoking addiction. Because of this, smoking addiction is something that must be broken at the mindset level. If smoking makes you feel tough or cool, and you can't stop when you should, then something is badly wrong.

Do you smoke a couple packs of cigarettes every day? Do you feel like you could put the cigarettes down for good if you absolutely had to? Most people believe that they could probably quit smoking if they absolutely had to. Then, when the time comes to stop smoking, they can't do it. It is because they are focusing on cigarettes and the actual act of smoking. While it is true that there are chemicals within cigarettes that cause addiction issues, the mental issues play just as big of a role.

Fancy patches and special gum has been designed to help people stop smoking. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. It is just a matter of how motivated a person is in their goal to quit smoking. In my years as a hypnotherapist, I have treated people for smoking issues. Hypnosis is more effective as these physical helpers because it will help a person change their outlook and mindset.

Hypnosis is something that should strongly considered by people who feel like they can't beat cigarettes and smoking addiction. It's not just something that is done during a magic show. It is a real, tangible solution to awful problems that can eventually kill you. Get the information you need today in order to make a quality decision on hypnosis.

Procrastination is a problem that usually affects students, but it can be found in the working world, as well. For many students, getting an assignment that is due in two months is a great thing. They have two months to slowly work on the assignment, making necessary improvements all along the way. That is how it is supposed to be done. Other students plan to get to work on that assignment, but they never get around to it. Then, the due date rolls around and that student is left pulling an all-nighter so that he or she can barely make the deadline the next morning. Does that sound familiar? If it does, then you probably have a problem with procrastination.

Procrastination is not limited to the world of academia, though. In the work world, many jobs are lost because a worker did not get to the work in time. Deadlines are missed because a business plan wasn't given enough consideration early on. Even worse than that, droves of workers sit at their desks and do nothing for hours, just killing time before the clock says that they can go home. These things cost businesses large amounts of money in lost productivity. What is at the root of all of this procrastination? Some might say that it is laziness, but it is really just a problem with mindset. People are so conditioned to putting off work that after a while, it becomes a habit.

It is difficult to stop this terrible habit. It takes a concerted effort a long time to truly change your ways. By doing that, you would be changing the way your mind processes work. In my time as a hypnotherapist, I have used hypnosis to deal with this problem. Like many of my colleagues, I can use hypnosis to stop people from smoking and keep them away from stress. I find that it is a reliable solution for a host of other issues, as well.

Many people don't even consider hypnosis as a treatment option because they associate it with the shows in Las Vegas and the depictions on television. That's not what hypnosis is about, though. Hypnosis is really about changing a person's basic senses so that their thinking is permanently changed. This sounds like a perfect way to counter procrastination, doesn't it? If you want to change your ways and get to work, you should get information on hypnosis and make a big change. You will be happy that you did.

Stress is an everyday problem that can be extremely taxing to people. Whether it comes as the result of a devastating event or just the constant things that make life difficult, stress is just as bad. Many people just pass stress off as a temporary thing that will go away with time. The problem with that is that they are neglecting the effect that stress can have on the human body when endured over long periods of time. Stress has been linked to a whole host of physical ailments, including many different types of cancer. Contrary to the popular saying, stress won't just make you lose your hair. It could cause you to lose your life.

Stress is generally built up over time. It doesn't discriminate, either. Stress problems can afflict students as they prepare for exams or complete work. Stress can bother people who are having financial problems or legal problems. Stress can even afflict those who are extremely wealthy. Problems with a business plan or even an issue at home can cause stress in large quantities. Because stress is such a mental ailment, the treatments for stress must be mostly mental, as well. You can go into the store and purchase aspirin to help with headaches that are caused by stress, but you can't grab a quick fix for the problem off of any shelves. You must attack the problem at its roots in order to relieve it.

One great way to fight stress is through hypnosis. As a hypnotherapist, I have seen many clients who want to find a way out from under the burden of stress. I also use hypnosis to help clients with smoking issues, gambling issues, and a number of other problems, but a great number of my clients suffer from extreme stress. Hypnosis is not just that thing that you see on television or in the movies. It offers a real solution to people who often feel that all hope is lost in their situation.

If you are under the constant cloud of stress that won't allow you to live a fulfilled life, then maybe you want to consider hypnosis as a form of treatment. It will get to the root of the problems that are causing your stress and will change your outlook from there. Get as much information on hypnosis as you possibly can and make a big change in your life today.

Year in year and nothing seems to change! You get around to spring and wish you would have started a diet in the New Year that would have you soon ready for the beach. You look at the people around you and are amazed and baffled as to how they seem to easily maintain a nice trim tummy and bum and feel that you can't justify your curves and contours as being healthy or sexy anymore. You feel de-motivated with the diets of the past which in some ways were good, but just hard to stick too! You wish that there was a magic wand that could be waved, however if that opportunity would come along you would just dismiss it as being 'too good to be true'! Well if you are serious about getting your sleek and slender body back and you would prefer to turn heads then here is the solution…

Hypnosis has been used for many years to treat obesity and to help individuals to slim down to the size of their dreams. It is so effective that many people on the program are just amazed how fast they see results and how simple it is to follow. Many people that come to see me or use one of my products for slimming do so as a last ditch attempt in losing the pounds and getting their confidence back. This is a shame as the journey before using hypnosis in one of ups and downs that often is expensive and emotionally difficult for them. Losing weight is simple, however it isn't if our mind is not inline with our goals and working with us to get the desire results that we want and need to see.

Hypnosis works by reprogramming the mind to achieve the results that you set for yourself – it really is that simple. The part of the mind that is worked on during Hypnosis is called the subconscious mind and is the area that deals with your motivation and all other emotions so it's an excellent place to start.

If you are serious about getting a new wardrobe in the next few weeks or you just want to feel confident in your body then start thinking about how you are going to utilise Hypnosis and Self Hypnosis today! Don't allow it to come to another spring where you kick yourself for not have started earlier. Take control back today and start your journey to success…

One of the biggest reasons that I love my job is that it gives me so much time to develop myself personally. Each and every day I set about learning new skills and challenging old limiting beliefs about what I can and can't do! Many of my clients think that because of the job that I do, that I am 100% and that I have reached my potential. Well I must say that the success that I have created for myself so far in life is certainly fun and exciting and it allows me to do things that others only dream about, however I always feel that I can develop and improve more as while I continue to grow older and wiser my wants and needs in life are changing and 'success' now has a different meaning to me than it did… say ten years ago.

So what is success to you?

Is it earning enough money each and every month to pay your taxes and your bank for any credit cards you have? Is it raising a happy family and living happily ever after in your home sweet home? Maybe it is being the CEO of a major international companying. Whatever success is to you, one thing should be well understood – you can achieve and reach your success with a little planning.

As a child I remember taking my bike out of the back garden and deciding that I wanted to go on a bike ride. I peddled around for hours wondering which route to take out of town. Before I knew what was happening the sun was setting and it was time to get myself off home for my dinner. Later that year I decided on another bike ride, however this time I decided to do a little research and go to the local filling station and get a map of the local area and all the towns around my home town of Bicester. A few days before the week end I studied the map and decided to visit Banbury which was some 17 miles away. I decided the route and what I needed to take for lunch and that weekend I was off!

Success – I had achieved a bike ride that will stay in my memories as a true achievement for the rest of my life. Not bad for an 11 year old boy is it?

Just imagine what you could achieve if only you set your mind to it and did a little bit of planning!

Residual income can be hard to understand at first. Most people are used to earning an hourly wage based upon the idea that they earn money for the hours they work. Residual income is a very different concept.

Residual income is where a person earns money over and over again for something they do one time. So, instead of having to put in hours to earn money, residual income is based on the idea of doing something once and earning an income off that work for long after it is completed.

Generally, residual income opportunities are based upon an automated system. There has to be some system in place that allows the income to be earned without the person having to anything.

The internet is the perfect atmosphere for residual income. This is because the internet is very automated. There are many different ways to earn a residual income through the internet.

Websites now have many features that allow they to work without any human interference. Customers simply visit a website, place their order and everything is handled by the website software.

This allows a person to work one time to set up their website and place advertising. They then can leave the website to build them residual income.

There are also other ways, like affiliate programs. Either being an affiliate or creating their own affiliate program can allow a person to make a residual income. Affiliate programs are automated by nature and they can be a huge money making option that requires little work.

Residual income is not a new concept and it can be done offline, but it has been brought to a new status because of the internet. People are finding that residual income is the way to go. It just pays off better then working really hard only to be paid for it one time.

Residual income is something that has become a very big idea, thanks in large part to the internet. The internet is an automated marketplace where residual income just naturally occurs. There are many ways to build residual income and start reaping its benefits. It is not hard to do and the benefits are many.

Residual income is income that is earned from doing something one time. Instead of having to put a large amount of work into it day after day, the residual income opportunity requires only upfront work and then it keeps earning income after that. It's as easy as that!

There are many opportunities with the internet marketplace to earn residual income. One of the most popular ways is through affiliate programs. There are many affiliate programs to choose from.

Affiliate programs are where a person sells products for another company and earns a commission. Affiliate programs are a good source of residual income because the main company handles every aspect of the sale. All the affiliate has to do is place ads with their affiliate ID. When customers click on the ad and place an order the affiliate earns a commission. This is a growing trend in the business world.

Another popular way to earn residual income is through ebooks. A person can write an ebook and then sell it to others with the right to earn a commission off the sales of the ebook they make.

There are many other ways to earn residual income online. As mentioned, the internet is an automated atmosphere. Most of the time all a person has to do is set up a website with automated features and they are already off to a good start with earning residual income.

It is quite easy and so profitable. It leaves a person to wonder why anyone would choose any other form of income over residual income. Do something once and earn money off your work over and over - it is the ideal business situation.

Part of the online business atmosphere is building lines of residual income. The online environment makes residual income opportunities available and easy to set up. Residual income from home can mean a large profit over a single stream of income.

Residual income is basically when a person earns money from something they do one time. It is a great way to have multiple streams of income without having to spend a lot of time working.

Building a residual income is something that comes naturally to the online marketplace. The internet already is very automated and it does not require a person to manage it constantly. There are programs that will handle almost every aspect of business from customers to inventory.

In fact, something as simple as setting up a website could be the start of earning residual income. A website can be set up to sell goods, take orders and even process shipping. That leaves nothing for the owner to do, but the occasional customer service need.

There are other ways to build residual income. If a person already has an online business set up they could incorporate affiliate programs into their business. All they would need to do is enter the affiliate links and they would have a new line of income set up.

Residual income is a good way to get security in the online marketplace. It is a good idea to have a few different income opportunities just in case one should start to fail at turning a profit.

Residual income also allows a person to earn for as long as they like. They do not have to worry about it or manage it, as it usually will run itself quite well. Building residual income is so easy and so beneficial that it is something that is recommended in online business.

Italy is the land of romance, with historical monuments that make it to the Seven Wonders of the World such as the Tower of Pisa to the Vatican City, which offers a spectacle in itself with its famous paintings and sculptures. Italy has so much to offer that it will make you wish to come back again and again.

However, romance and history is not always the only attraction of Italy, there is yet another side that attracts tourists and fellow citizens alike and that is Italian casinos. Most large Italian cities will have a casino especially if it is a tourist attraction and frankly what part of Italy is not a tourist attraction?

Italy boasts to have kept its casinos open even during the war and many crowded the place during that time as well to escape reality and in search of lady luck. Out of all the casinos (and there are a few) the Venice's Casino is the most famous and highest earner of them all. Its success has made it possible to open yet another Venice Casino but this time in Malta, which will ensure them the top position in the future as well.

Italian casinos are very diverse and once such example is the casino situated in the town of Campione at the Italian Swiss border. To get to the 'The Campione d'Italia Casino' you have to cross the border on the Milan-Como motorway; the experience is well worth it as the casino has its own house rules, which are displayed at the entrance and which you should read very carefully. The good part is if lady luck does smile at you while gambling there all you have to do is open a Swiss bank account.

Most Italian casinos will open at approximately 2 pm and close anywhere between 4 am to 6 am. The legal age to gamble and drink alcoholic beverages is 18 and you will be required to have identification on you that has a recent picture; the best thing to carry is your driving license not passport. Most Italian casinos speak English fluently because of the large number of tourists visiting this beautiful country every year.

You will find all international casino games available in most Italian casinos with the international rules applicable. Enjoy the diversity and passion of this roman country and who knows in the country of saints and angels, lady luck may smile at you too.

Ireland casinos are located almost exclusively in Dublin. The one exception is Collosus Casino Sporting Club, which is located in Stephen Green. This casino has casino gambling, but no racebook or sportsbook. It could be considered a boutique casino, since it only has 14 table games.

Ireland casinos in Dublin include the 76 Club, the Amusement City Casino, and the two locations of Atari Expo, the Mayfair Casino Club, the Merrion Casino Club, the Silks Club, and The Fitzwilliam Card Club.

The 76 Casino has gaming similar to the Colossus, except it only has 6 table games. The Amusement City Casino offers slots, table games, and poker. It is larger than the previously mentioned casinos. This Ireland casino has 250 slots for the customer's pleasure.

The two Atari Expo gaming centers offer a large selection of slot gaming. The Mayfair Casino Club has two poker tables and nine table games. Like the other casinos, it is a small but friendly casino. The Merrion Casino Club offers 10 poker tables and six table games. Like the other casinos, there is no racebook or sportsbook. The Merrion is currently being refurbished.

The Silks Club has one poker table and 10 game tables. The Fitzwilliam Card Club is one of the larger Ireland casinos with 7 poker tables and 8 game tables.

When visiting the Isle of Green, while in Dublin, if you have the urge to partake of a gaming excursion, you are in luck. All the casinos are close to fine places to stay and eat. While none of the Ireland casinos are close to the size of most American casinos, there is an ambience within their elegant settings.

There are many reasons to visit Ireland, but if you want to include gaming as part of your vacation, Ireland casinos will fill the bill. You can go fishing in Ireland for trout and money in the same day. You can visit an authentic Irish pub and an Ireland casino at the same time. May the luck of the Irish be with you when you try gaming at an Ireland casino.

Gibraltar is a unique country that separates Europe from Africa, and you can feel both the influences when you visit this duty free paradise. In Gibraltar gambling is legal and therefore they boast of two casinos of their own that draw in visitors and locals alike.

Tourists from all over the world are attracted to Gibraltar for its unique geographical location, the enormous Rock of Gibraltar, which can be seen from miles and miles as well as the duty free shopping; Gibraltar casinos are a bonus on top of the bargains that you find all over this unique country.

Both the Gibraltar casinos are open usually 24 hours a day (though this schedule may change on some local holidays) as tourists never stop pouring in and therefore the playing should not either; the legal age for gambling is 21 years of age but for consuming alcoholic beverages is 18. The rules are very strict with regard to age for both gambling and drinking due to which you will be asked for photo identification every time you will enter a casino or ask for a drink especially if you are young or just look so.

In Gibraltar everyone speaks at least two languages one of which is definitely English due to its English influence; you can also find typical English food such as fish and chips, which fits perfectly well with the atmosphere and lay out. The country holds mixed nationalities such as English, Spanish, African, Asian and Middle Eastern as well. It is fascinating to watch everyone speak a language and in mid sentence change it to yet another; it happens so fast you don't even realize when they changed it. Gibraltar has English roots but at the same time it is colored with different fragrances and spices from different parts of the world.

Gibraltar casinos follow strict international gambling rules, which you will find easy to understand and abide by; entertainment in the casinos is elegant and suitable to its surroundings and practices due to which most gamblers have a great time and always look forward to coming back the next evening.

It is impossible not to enjoy your time in Gibraltar, whether lady luck has been kind to you or not in the casino, you are sure to have a great bargain by shopping and saving in the duty free stores, which basically make the country's main tourist attraction.

When in Gibraltar you must try and make time between the casinos and shopping to climb on the famous Rock of Gibraltar and watch the monkey at the top; however, whatever you do - do not feed the monkeys, they are sometimes wild and can attack you.

Has a self-enforced captivity within your own home finally made you urgently open your eyes to the obstacle heaps hogging the living space you pay for?

So, you've finally noticed it. Brrr. If you feel a resistance to do something about it, and most clutter folks do, read on.

If you're reading this line, then it at least means that you want to grab a hold of your life before the clutter rams it out the window.

You may say …"Yes, yes, but why bother?" … "What's the bloody point?" After all, it all turns into a scrambled mess later on anyway.

The breaking point to do something about it is different for everyone.

It doesn't matter what the point is. What matters is there is a reason in your life propelling you to make room for a fresh new space filled with flowing positive energy.

Some folks need to be shocked out of their boredom by a firestorm of mishaps around their own clutter (including health problems). Others get to it through pure willpower. And then, some "clutter bugs" get suddenly fired up by a vigorous craving to clean up their home because a burning need to change their lives just arrived.

And the easiest way of changing one's life is by changing the surroundings. Doing it little by little, through a brand spanking new and wickedly effective purge of "decluttering" produces results fast.

Whatever works in getting you there is the right way to progress. But for the folks who wait forever until the mood hits, they better be careful.

They've become clutter bugs for a damn good reason. Often, it's emotionally rooted and may run deep.

If you haven't felt the urge to declutter in a long while, it may mean that you're getting immune to it. So, if you are immune to it nothing can happen, right?

Oops. This is dangerous. Liking a clutter bug's lifestyle can lead a person into deeper emotional waters without ever realizing it. Could one day be too late to change? Maybe.

Are you going to wait and see which way the "maybe" scales tip?

It's perfectly fine to ask your good friends for help if you need it. Your friends may have been hinting why you need to de-junk for a while anyway :).

What are some of the gripping reasons for "clutter bugs" to decide to jump ship into orderly living surroundings while reclaiming their living space and life?

Take a look at the lean and mean What-A-Mess List that often pushes decluttering to be a white-hot priority:

    • Emotional exhaustion from dealing with clutter for years

    • Inability to have company over and socialize in your own home

    • Inability to sleep in an overstuffed and grungy bedroom

    • Clutter as physical warning signs of unfinished chapters in life still holding one hostage (living in the past, perhaps with a broken heart)

    • Reclaiming the space around to make room for that special mate, circumstances, or opening of new doors of opportunities

    • Desperate need to streamline usually "ignored" business paperwork that piles up together with ineffectiveness and profit loss

    • Clutter starts to affect the harmony of a relationship or entire family life

    • Bad shape of affairs when looking around your home for confidential documents increasingly wreaks havoc into one's life

    • The utility company cuts off gas and lights because the bills were unpaid for months despite warning mail outs

What a mess to abandon, wouldn't you say?

So, whichever your scenario may be, frankly, staying oblivious to the clutter around you may prevent you from having brand spanking new turnarounds in life on many levels.

Flirting with the idea of decluttering your home … and life … is only the beginning. Down and dirty action with your sleeves rolled up is the organizing power that will turn you into a success over the clutter trap … and then some.

Most people miss the hidden assets MP3 audio books have that make life a great deal easier in many ways.

For instance, do you like to exercise to stay in great shape and feel like a tiger, full of boundless energy? Or, does your workout feel more like a constant dread? If your case is the latter, MP3 audio books can help you transform it from an unhappy to a fun activity.

There is a not-so-completely new way of doing workouts besides listening to music or radio. And the new way brings the convenience of MP3 audio books, allowing you to grab more benefits at once while working out.

If you want to maximize your workout by using MP3 audio books "as triggers", read on to find out more.

There are educational MP3 audio books that will teach you about exciting and effective ways of staying in shape. Many people who exercise don't even have a clue how to do it right. Instead of guessing it, there are great audio books that guide the listeners to quicker, more satisfying, and lasting results.

The trouble sometimes is that no matter how much you think you already know about working out, there are MP3 audio books out there that show you much better ways others miss.

Some of these workout-related audio books come with calming music in the background, thus making you stay focused and attentive during the workout like a bulldog on a bone.

During workouts, audio books help to take your mind away from the physical activity. They act as "triggers". Instead of concentrating on the no-pain-no-gain workout, the messages contained in the MP3 audio book help you trigger other thoughts, giving you extra energy and different focus.

Both the extra energy and different focus allow you to work out longer and more effectively.

For example, if you usually run for, say 30 minutes, with an interesting audio book you will be able to increase the jogging time to, say 50 minutes or more. It can mean a big difference from "dreaded" into "longer and rewarding", what do you say?

Certain MP3 audio books that talk about the importance of staying in shape and looking great deliver necessary motivation to your ears. Often, it's the motivation we need – in the right moment, at the right time.

They give you an audible parade of more reasons why you should stay at it working out, instead of mulling over reasons to bail out. The MP3 books can become your personal coaches for a lot less than a live one would cost.

Glance at the three titles you can look up and take for a "test-drive" next time you are exercising in some way.

    Suggestion # 2:

A Guide To Walking Fitness … by Andy Guides

Do you ever wish that you could get in better shape, tone those muscles, lose some weight and achieve better health without killing yourself while doing it? Fitness walking is a great way to do this if you know how.

    Suggestion # 3:

    Ultra-Metabolism … by Mark Hyman, M. D

An instant New York Times best-seller, Ultra-Metabolism finally reveals why it's so hard to lose weight. Allow Dr. Hyman to run through the reasons for weight retention.

Yup, it still takes some guts and perseverance. But on the other hand, if you can make your exercise easier and more in flow, it now hinges only on your decision to check out and download MP3 audio books into your MP3 player and way you go.

There's a free video help with how to do that at http://mybigaudio.com/help.html if you ever need it.

Think about it for a second and make it happen. Easy-to-carry MP3 audio books can help you stick to your workout plan. And that may eventually lead you to looking and feeling great.

Most women who suffer miscarriages may feel sadness and a sense of loss in addition to the physical symptoms they must cope with, but, surprisingly, there are cardiovascular risks as well. A recently completed study from Copenhagen, Denmark, showed that women who have a miscarriage or a stillbirth (where the baby dies before birth) are more likely to suffer from atherosclerosis later in life. Atherosclerosis, as any cardiologist will quickly point out, is a risk factor for serious types of heart disease or myocardial infarction (heart attack).

The Danish study examined medical records from more than 1 million women between the years of 1977 and 2008 to look for risk factors and cardiac events following either a miscarriage or a stillbirth. The physicians running the study evaluated women for renal hypertension (a condition where high blood pressure occurs as a result of narrowing of the arteries that carry blood to the kidneys). They also looked for signs of myocardial infarction (heart attack), cerebrovascular infarction (stroke). The most shocking part of the study was the fact that women who had suffered miscarriages had experienced much higher rates of cardiovascular disease – and sometimes this occurred years later.

Some of the statistics are revealing. For instance, women who had suffered a miscarriage had a 13% higher rate of both heart attack and stroke when compared with women who had never experienced a miscarriage. Women who had experienced miscarriages also had a 20% greater risk for renal hypertension as compared with those who hadn't experienced a pregnancy loss. Even more stunning, those women who had given birth to stillborn babies had rates higher still when compared to baselines. The group who had experienced stillbirths had a 169% higher risk of heart attack, a 142% greater chance of experiencing renal hypertension, and a 74% greater risk for stroke.

The greater the number of miscarriages that women had, the more likely they were to suffer later heart disease or stroke, the researchers also discovered. The effects were apparently cumulative – meaning that each time they had another miscarriage or still birth their chances for heart attack, stroke, or renal hypertension were higher.

One puzzling part of this study is that so far, the reasons behind it remain a mystery. Generally, women experience lower rates of cardiovascular disease when compared to males, when all other factors are taken into consideration (such as obesity, smoking, and diabetes). One hypothesis is that underlying inflammation in the body can cause both miscarriages as well as negatively affect artery health (as increased plaque buildup leads to heart attack and stroke). Another factor that the researchers did not control for, but which could have been to blame, is preeclampsia, which may be a risk factor for later heart disease and stroke. Preeclampsia can also cause miscarriage and stillbirth, so it could have been an influencing factor. The authors plan to conduct more follow-up research to thoroughly investigate the role of preeclampsia.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

College is supposed to be one of the best times in a person's life. With so much to learn and experience, it's easy to get caught up in the fun and excitement. But what about safety? Though they might seem self-contained and cozy, college campuses aren't isolated from crime.

Know the facts about college safety

    1) Rape is the most common violent crime on US campuses.

    2) College students are victims of identity theft more often than other groups.

    3) More college students are stalked than other groups.

Why is there so much crime on college campuses? When a bunch of young adults from all walks of life are thrown together, almost anything could happen.

    Alcohol

Having a few beers with friends at a bar is one thing, but getting tanked at a frat house filled with strangers is quite another. Alcohol plays a major role in sexual assaults. In fact, more than 70,000 college students are victims of an alcohol-related assault each year. If you want to stay safety-conscious, stay aware of how much you've had to drink.

    Date rape drugs

Your safety can also depend on who you know. Nearly all cases of date rape are instances where the victim knew his or her attacker. If you stop paying attention at a club or crowded college party, it's easy for someone to slip an odorless, colorless date rape drug into your drink. Don't be suspicious of all your friends, but keep an eye on your beverage.

    Computer labs

Labs aren't the problem. Students who are unfamiliar with computer safety precautions are. Many college students frequent campus computer labs to study and communicate with family and friends. Unfortunately, these labs are the perfect breeding ground for identity theft. You jeopardize your safety every time you enter personal information into lab computers. Use a private desktop or laptop to check your bank accounts, pay bills, and shop online.

    Sour relationships

Campuses are a common place for stalkers to prey on their victims. When college relationships end badly, stalking can and does occur. Worse, campus stalkers are familiar with their victims' daily routines. If you suspect you are being stalked, don't wait for the situation to get out of control – notify the campus authorities immediately.

    College safety guidelines

It's important to have a good time and enjoy your college experience, but you have to stay smart about safety. Just exercise good judgment and common sense:

    1) Lock everything from your doors to your windows.

    2) Keep an eye out for suspicious behavior and be aware of people as they approach you.

    3) Check your car as you approach for someone hiding underneath or on the passenger side.

    4) Don't carry large sums of money.

    5) Travel in groups for added safety.

    6) Stick to well lit areas if you have to walk on campus at night.

    7) Yell "fire!" instead of "help!" if you are in danger, because people are more likely to respond to that.

    8) Don't hang around outside your car or dorm room too long before going in.

    9) Beware of headphones when you are jogging alone. They drown out any noise an approaching attacker might make.

    10) Let someone know where you are going and when you should be back.

These are all easy things that could make a big difference in your campus life. Don't get so preoccupied with safety that it keeps you from having a good time, but keep your well-being in mind.

There comes a time when parents have to decide if their kids are ready to be left home alone. Sometimes parents have to work late, or they want a night out to themselves. Leaving kids home alone is a big decision that requires lengthy consideration. There is no specific age at which kids are ready to be left home alone; it always depends on the child.

Find out if your kid is ready to be left home alone

    1) Observe how they handle minor emergency situations. If your kid gets frustrated easily, they might not be ready to be left home alone.

    2) Do they know and follow your rules about curfews, the Internet, homework, and TV? It痴 important that you can trust your kids to follow the rules when you池e around before you can feel comfortable leaving them home alone.

    3) Think about your neighborhood and neighbors. Is the area safe? Does your kid know the neighbors well enough to ask for help in an emergency?

Childproof your home before leaving kids alone

Before leaving kids home alone, make sure you secure anything that could harm them. Any weapons like guns or knives should be locked away in a safe place. Alcohol and tobacco products should be put out of reach of kids. All medications, even if they aren稚 prescription, should be somewhere off-limits to kids when they are left home alone.

Most kids get excited the first time their parents leave them home alone. Sometimes, they think being home alone is going to be fun, but once their parents, leave a situation arises that they can稚 handle.

What your kid should know before leaving them home alone:

1, How to answer the phone雄our kid should never say they池e home alone!

2, How to use the microwave柚ake sure they know the settings

3, What to do if the power goes off雄our kid should know where flashlights and extra batteries are kept.

4, Who to call for help揖eep a list of emergency numbers by the phone.

5, How to get in touch with you雄ou should schedule times to have them call you.

6, What to do if a stranger comes to the door湧o one should be allowed in the house when your kids are left home alone!

Lots of parents find it痴 easier to leave kids home alone if they have a pet to keep them company. Another strategy is leaving kids home alone for a short period of time and gradually increasing the amount of time they池e alone. All kids get left home alone eventually so it痴 better if parents have thought about it ahead of time and have a plan.

You might have seen the commercial, in which a man tries to break into a house, but an alarm goes off and the burglar runs away. While the alarm is blaring, an operator from the home's security system's monitoring company calls the house to make sure everything is alright. That commercial communicates a powerful message about home security: an alarm isn't always enough. You also need someone to monitor your alarm system.

    Who needs security system monitoring?

    1) Seniors

    2) Single parents

    3) Kids home alone

    4) Families

    5) Small businesses

    Benefits of security system monitoring:

    1) Security system monitoring makes your home three to four times less likely to be burglarized. Why take the chance of not having security system monitoring?

    2) You can save money. Not only will you prevent the costs associated with break-ins, but you can also save up to 20 percent on your homeowners insurance by having a security system monitor.

    3) Security system monitoring offers 24/7 peace of mind because it never takes a day off. Someone will always be watching over you and your family.

Make the most of your security system monitor

Once you have a security system monitor, you will want to maximize its effectiveness. You might be surprised to find out how human error can flaw even the most reliable monitors.

Test them. Security system monitors should be tested regularly. You will want to test your system at least once a month but once a week is recommended.

Turn them on. What good is having a security system monitor if you never turn it on? Make sure your monitor is on at night and when you leave your house.

Tell people about your security system monitor. Lots of burglaries happen because neighbors and acquaintances know your habits and when you will be out of the house. By telling as many people as you can about your new security system monitor, you reduce the chances of a break-in by someone you know.

Security system monitoring will give you the chance to relax and enjoy your vacation because you will know someone is carefully guarding your house and your possessions. You can be certain that you and your loved ones are safe from break-ins, fires, and medical emergencies because security system monitoring means you are never alone and help is just a phone call away.
