The hourglass watches of yesteryears are passé, this is the era of Jewelry watches that not only tell time but also tell of the wearer's status. The concept of time and it's recording has been done since time immemorial.

We began measuring time with sundials and hourglasses that seem to have been evolved by the early Egyptians. These cumbersome gadgets gave way to clocks that the Italian Monks introduced. But these clocks were also difficult to carry around and soon pocket watches found them selves in the suave suits of Englishmen.

The 19th century saw its first wristwatch invented by Patek Philippe. The wristwatch was considered to be something that only women wore till of course the convenience became evident to most and today we find it on nearly every hand.

Another thing that seemed to have been designed only for women was jewelry. Jewelry also found itself in some form or the other on both the genders very soon. Even today the metro man is seen with a ring or a chain.

Needless to say like all other things that the human race wears, watches also became more elaborate and dressy. This gave birth to what we today call jewelry watches. These are not only pretty to look and obviously tell time but are made with precious metals and stones making them fall in new class that is referred to as Jewelry watches.

These watches are available in Jewelry stores as well as outlets that carry watches. They are valued for their ornamental looks that enhance the status of the owner. Diamonds, rubies, sapphires and many such precious stones are used with metals like gold, silver and platinum to create these works of art. They are even made to order though rarely bulk produced.

There are a few pocket watches that are made on the same lines but mostly wristwatches fall in this category. There have also been a few jewelry watches that were rings. Not a layman concept but most red carpets have seen plenty of Jewelry watches. The antique range of these jewelry watches is highly valued.

Jewelry watches are made by almost all the leading names in the Watch industry. Gucci, Tiffany, Rolex, Tag Huer, Tissot and many more such big names all make watches that are dressy and precious.

The designs are not limited to dressy bracelets concealing watches for ladies but there are plenty of designs for men's wrists too. Almost all watch collectors have a couple of such watches in their bag.

They are handed down from generation to generation and their value increases every passing year as opposed to ordinary watches that decrease in value with the passing of time.

In conclusion it would be befitting to say that such watches do more than the obvious, which is tell time. In today's age where fashion trends seem to change every second these watches stand the test of time and emerge winners.

The trend seems to be growing every day and soon we might have established and leading companies of such watches making a more affordable range of Jewelry watches.

New York City is the one of the best places to be if you want to have Lasik surgery. There are a variety of laser vision correction surgeries from which to choose from in New York, including LASIK, LTK and PRK. These safe and effective procedures can reduce or eliminate your dependency on glasses and contact lenses.

Through the precise accuracy of laser light, the cornea is gently reshaped to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. These medical procedures are all done on an outpatient basis that uses a cool beam of light to gently reshape the surface of the eye's cornea and this help improve your vision. These procedures are designed to be a one time treatment to help normalize your vision, while also reducing or eliminating your dependence on glasses and contact lenses.

Laser vision correction is approved by the FDA as a safe, proven and effective procedure for myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism. The treatments are painless because of the drops put into the eyes. Some patients may experience discomfort for one to three days after treatment, often described as the feeling of sand or soot in the eye. This passes quickly and your doctor can prescribe medication to alleviate any discomfort during your recovery.

When having lasik in New York, a cool beam of laser light is used to gently reshape the cornea. Lasik is generally the procedure of choice because it is performed under a protective layer of corneal tissue. There is less surface area to heal and there is minimal or no discomfort. The whole procedure is over in a matter of minutes, and corrects several difference eye conditions.

To improve your vision, a cool beam of light gently reshapes the surface of the cornea to make it more like a normal eye, allowing light to come into focus on the wall of the retina and thus improving your eyesight.

There are many Lasik New York specialists studying the use of lasers to reshape the cornea for the purpose of decreasing or eliminating dependency on glasses and contact lenses. In its infancy, this surgery involved the application of incisions to reshape the cornea, but today, thanks to their work, the laser has become the most efficient and least invasive means of performing this type of surgery.

If you think you want to have lasik performed on your eyes in New York, you should check into the procedure. It is not for everyone and there are risks involved. You might want to read books, magazine articles, and newspapers to see what is happening in this field. Medical procedures are constantly changing and being improved. Maybe you were not a good candidate back in the mid-1990's when you first thought about having this done. But, with the advancements in technology, you may now be a good candidate.

Your Lasik New York eye surgeons and their staff can provide you with details and answer your many questions. Do not hesitate to talk to them as they are the best sources of information. Now, relax, have your surgery and start seeing better in a few days.

You have always been an avid read of your horoscope and even check it out on-line every day after you get work. It is fun to read and to think about the "what ifs" in life. They are usually broad and open ended statements that could fit into any number of different situations that occur daily in your life.

Did you know that now there are romance horoscopes that tell you what is going to happen to you on a certain day, at a certain time with certain other astrological signs? Wow, if you really believe this, you will be living on the edge, attempting to read into each statement a special message of love and romance.

So, what is your romance horoscope saying? They normally give you a basic definition based on the positions of the sun, moon and planets exactly as they were positioned at the time of your birth, so you must know the exactly time of your birth. The charts are interpretation by astrologers and they then provide you with a horoscope reading.

You can get a daily, weekly, monthly, or even yearly chart made for you. Your specially interpreted chart will include predictions for all facets of your life. Today, however, the most popular is the predictions that relate directly to your romantic relationships and your love life-are you going to meet that 'special' person, get dumped or even get married? They will explain all of this to you.

They will also provide you with information on your own individual characteristics and your compatibility with other astrological signs as they relate to your romantic relationships in dating and marriages.

Your individual romance horoscope is based on the theory that the planets have a strong effect on you, your character, your personality, and your destiny. This allows you to gain a better understanding of yourself within your romantic relationships and allows you to see the general patterns of your life, the meaning of your behaviors, and your natural compatibility with others. Additionally, they say that it gives you a better understanding of your partner, their behaviors, and their compatibility with you.

You can continue to read your daily horoscope as you always done in the past, or you can go to an astrologer and they will plot everything for you and provide you with information on everything you need to know about your future as it relates to your romance horoscope.

Of course, this costs money and there are more and more internet sites and local companies that offer to perform this service for you. If you believe that everything in your life is ruled by the position of the planets, getting a professional romance horoscope might be perfect for you.

You would have the report prepared by a professional astrologer who can explain the meaning of the romance horoscope and how it directly affects you and your relationships with others. You never know, they might send you off in the correct direction where you will meet Mr. or Ms. Right and start a lifelong relationship with that person.

When it comes to buying perfume, the choices for doing so are many. From dime stores to online stores, fragrances are a hot item in a lot of locations. But, how can a person go about finding just the right perfume store to fit their needs?

The answer to this will depend a lot on what exactly those needs are. Some people prefer the perfume spraying attention they receive in department stores, others enjoy the laid back feel of buying online and enjoying door-to-door service. Let's look at the different perfume store options and what they might offer style and price wise:

    * Department stores. The perfume counters in most department stores are legendary. Loaded with so many options and clerks very willing to share samples, these locations tend to offer the top name and best selling brands at retail prices. They tend to offer some very good sales from time to time and are also wonderful places to visit for those who aren't sure which fragrance they'd like to buy. With many samples to choose from, the undecided can become the decided very fast.

    * Online stores. These locations will vary greatly depending on the actual site, but online perfume shoppers can find just about every fragrance under the sun. From imports to replicas, online perfume store locations can be great resources for those who know what they want and especially those who don't want to pay a fortune.

The advantages to these locations tend to fall in the pricing arena. Since many online stores don't have the overhead department stores do, the prices can be a significant amount cheaper. Department stores, too, have their own web sites, so it's possible to buy a favorite from a favorite without leaving the house. The disadvantage to online shopping is missing out on the samples, but those with a fragrance of choice, they can be ideal.

    * Dime stores, pharmacies. Although not necessarily as popular as department store perfume store locations, these shops can be great for buying some of the lesser priced brand names.

Offering a fairly good selection, pharmacy and dime stores shouldn't be overlooked by those who enjoy brand names at lower prices. These stores carry a little bit of everything in the low to moderate prices. They might not have all the samples the bigger stores do, but it is possible to try some things on for scent before buying.

    * Fragrance stores. There are even freestanding stores that deal in nothing but perfumes. These will offer generally the greatest selection, but they can be hard to come by. When they are stores that can be visited in person, they are great for trying on new fragrances for size. These perfume stores can offer a variety of pricing, as well.

Looking for an ideal perfume store will depend a whole lot on what kind of fragrance a person wants, the amount of money they would like to spend and the type of customer service desired. Some stores are very hands on, others offer customers the freedom to shop as they'd like. There are fragrance stores available to meet just about any type of shopping preference.

Article Title: What To Look For In Home Theatre Speakers

Home theatres are becoming commonplace in households around the world. Offering a great place for a family to get together to view movies, television programs and even home videos, these rooms are not your typical living rooms, however. When maximum viewing potential is put into the mix of requirements, these rooms are meant to bring the movie theatre experience home and in a big way. With this in mind, some people go to great pains to ensure everything is of the best quality from the seating down to the home theatre speakers.

Not everyone can afford to buy the top of the line in everything, however. Fortunately, there are some places where corners can be cut without greatly impacting the overall viewing experience. The home theatre speakers are one consideration that can be found on a budget and still perform quite well. Shopping for the best within a budget will be important to make sure quality is king in a set that runs $200 or $2,000.

When looking for home theatre speakers, it's wise to do the following things:

Budget: Setting a budget is a first and foremost concern. Since home theatre set ups can run into the thousands, having a dollar amount for the home theatre speakers can really assist in the process of locating the best for the family in question.

List out requirements: A lot of bells and whistles can be found even on a budget, so go ahead and list out what features are important for your personal set up. If Dolby is a must, put that down. If having a master control device included with the speakers will be necessary, jot that down, too.

Look at makes and models: With desires for home theatre speakers clearly stated and a budget set, it's time to start researching different makes and models. Start out by finding all those that fall into the right budget range. Then weed out different designs based on the desired features. When a few potential winners are found, it's time to hit the books, so to say.

Look at what consumer reporting agencies or magazines have said about particular makes and models and even seek out reviews from past users. The important things to consider are sound quality, warranties and overall performance. A $300 set of home theatre speakers might just happen to have better consumer reports than that $2,000 set that looks fantastic.

Home theatre speakers purchased in sets should include at least five separate speakers to create the surround sound effect. A main control device might also include a stereo receiver, but the important thing is that it takes input from the projector and or DVD player. Make sure a minimum set up is included and that past user reports are good and almost any speaker system that's set up correctly will sound a thousand times better than a regular television set.

Shopping for home theatre speakers can be a little intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. Do a little homework in advance and the purchase should be a snap.

Article Title: A Tennis Racket Can Make Or Break Your Game

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

You are in love with the game of tennis and can not get enough of it. Starting off in school learning to play on basic gym equipment was the beginning-then in college you made sure that you took tennis as your required physical education classes.

The time has now come for you to get your own personal equipment and you want to get a tennis racket of your very own. To make a personal statement to everyone that you have come of age, are serious about this sport, and want to compete with your friends evenings and weekends.

What type of tennis racket are you going to purchase? They vary in length, weight, and head size, and you will need to figure out which one is the best for you. Think back to your beginnings playing this sport-what did you like or dislike about the different tennis rackets you used. This can be a starting point to begin narrowing down your choices.

A very important component for the tennis racket is the head size as the power behind your swings is directly affected. A larger head will give you with more power than a small head and also provides you with a larger hitting area making it a little easier to hit the ball. Generally speaking, a smaller racket head appeals to more accomplished players seeking more control, while larger rackets appeal to beginning and intermediate players seeking more power and a larger head.

They range in length from 27-29 inches with most people selecting the 27 inch ones. However, a longer handle provides more reach on ground strokes, adds leverage on serves, and slightly more power, than one with a standard length.

The weight has also been reduced making them lighter and easier to hold.

If you have friends or co-workers that also play, ask them about the type they use and why. They will enjoy talking to you about the sport and in providing you with information and advise. And, there is nothing more flattering than to ask someone for their opinion on a topic that they really enjoy and believe that they are an expert in.

Some of these people might even loan you some of their equipment so that you can try it out and find out whether or not you like it. No matter what your preference for a tennis racket is, you have to find the best one that meets your needs. This may even mean renting them and testing them out for a few games. This is probably the best way to have an opportunity to use many different types, styles, models and different manufacturers without spending a lot of money on ones that will just end up collecting dust in the closet.

Get out and play every weekend. The exercise is good, you will meet new people, and be out in the fresh air. This is much better than spending your weekend sitting in front of the television or going to the office to catch up on work.

Enjoy yourself, life is too short.

You have wanted to purchase a Seiko watch for as long as you can remember but you just never got around to it. You have seen this company's watches advertised on the internet and in stores and now you want to purchase one for your very own. Seiko was established in 1881 and is one of the premier watch manufacturers in the world today and introduced their first quartz watch in 1969.

Sekio believes that the best way for you to select and actually buy one of their watches is by going through one of their authorized retailers in a store. This will help ensure that you have an opportunity to see the latest Seiko styles that are available to the public. In addition, by purchasing from the authorized retailer, they will ensure that your watch is properly sized so that it fits correctly and they will provide you with any special operating instructions about the watch.

So, you want a Seiko watch. Now, what watch are you interested in getting? Did you know that you are no longer confined to the standard watch that your father and grandfather had? Consider one of the new Seiko watches—such as the world's first electronic paper watch. It was touted as being the first watch to utilize an electronic paper display-this design incorporated an easy-to-read, ultra-thin, low-power display integrated into an eye-catching curved band.

How about the Seiko Kinetic watch?

You will never have to worry about taking your watch to the jeweler just to change the battery. The Kinetic watch has a quartz movement that does not use a battery. By the simple move of your wrist, the capacitor charges itself. Once the capacitor is fully charged, your watches will store energy for up to 6 months. If you wear your watch everyday, the capacitor is continually recharged and there are over 20 models to choose from.

Are you concerned about the plight of people in far away countries that are working in mines or supporting terrorists? Well, Seiko advertised that the diamonds used in their watches were purchased from legitimate sources and that they were not involved in funding conflicts.

So, what Seiko watch will you buy for yourself? It really does not matter because they are all excellent products. What you need to do is to make up your mind. Not an easy task to do since there are hundreds of different makes, models and styles to choose from.

Go into an authorized dealer and take a look around. Or, go onto the internet and look at what is available. It may be that your perfect watch is on the internet and that your local authorized distributor will have to order it for you. But, what is better than having a watch ordered for you and sized perfectly to your wrist. And, if there is a problem, you can go back to the dealer or contact Seiko Corporation of America directly by emailing their web site.

Good old fashion customer service can go a long way, and Seiko watch authorized distributors know about their products and how to please the consumer.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

VOIP technology has advanced to a stage where VOIP is no longer an interesting start up, but a strong and valid technological force that offers so many benefits, not the least of which is huge savings in long distance phone calls. Many businesses have gone from expensive and complicated intra-office phone systems to switching to a VOIP system because of the increase in efficiency and strong decrease in cost. The continuing advancement of VOIP technology is what makes this possible.

Residential VOIP refers to the software that allows you to download the technology onto your computer and then communicate with family, friends, and acquaintances in the same way you would on the telephone, but your computer is used as a telephone instead. Because the technology is based on phone communication through the Internet, anyone you want to contact will also need to download the same technological software on their computers, but don't worry, this is actually very easy!

What if you still want to call people who don't have VOIP? One of the smartest technological advances by the companies encouraging the development of VOIP technology was creating an adaptor. An adaptor hooks up to a regular phone, and hooks it up to your VOIP so you can still use the residential VOIP to call any phone, whether it is a VOIP phone, a landline, or even a cell phone! This little piece of equipment allows you all the benefits of VOIP without any of the potential restrictions that could make people hesitant to invest in this service.

With the advancement of portable VOIP phones (Vonage is perhaps the best known company that provides this service), the question has been brought up of whether or not VOIP phones will be able to ever replace cell phones, and what would the difference be? While the technology is there for this to happen, the infrastructure isn't there yet; though it is getting closer with each passing day.

The advantage of this would be that VOIP would be far cheaper, since long distance wouldn't cost nearly anything and there would be no restriction on minutes. A wireless VOIP phone is also referred to as a "Wi-Fi VOIP phone," and needs networks in the same way wireless internet needs networks, to work, but more are popping up every day, and many cities plan to increase the number of hot spots, which would make this a more and more viable option.

Many cell phone companies, sensing ahead of time what this could mean for them if they refuse to adapt, now design phones that not only work as regular cell phones, but also have features that allow the user to switch to their VOIP account if they are close enough to a hot spot. While complete VOIP is a long ways off, the beginning structures are there, and as the VOIP technology improves, it would not be surprising to head towards the day where VOIP isn't a side game, but the main choice available to all phone users.

Headphones with a remote control allow the user to enjoy their movies, music, or gaming without distracting others - and with the remote control gaining even more control over their entertainment.

To keep all these fantastic items together, a PSP accessory pouch is available, as well as a PSP carrying case and system pouch with wrist strap. And for maintaining the clarity of the display and the device, Sony offers a cleaning cloth for the PSP.

With so many on the market, PSP accessory bundles are available to package the most popular items. The basic PSP Core Pack includes simply the PSP System with an AC adapter and a Battery Pack. One step up brings you to the Value Pack which includes headphones with a remote, the carrying pouch with wrist strap, cleaning cloth and 1 GB memory stick in addition to the Core Pack contents.

The Entertainment Pack offers a 1 GB memory stick, ATV Off-Road Fury UMD (Universal Media Disk) game, and Lord of Dogtown UMG movie in addition to the Core Pack. Over 430 UMD video titles are available as well as over 135 games to add to the user's cache of media.

The PSP is a multimedia device – not satisfied with just delivering video games. Users are able to connect to the Internet via wireless networks to download additional updates, movies, music, and television shows. Another great PSP accessory to manage all these files is the Media Manager. This allows users to transfer music and videos to or from their PSP.

TiVo ToGo is available for a one-time flat fee. This allows television shows to be recorded, saved to the memory stick, and then played back through the PSP in full length.

The PSP is a powerful entertainment device offering all media forms to be accessed easily in a small handheld device. With so much to offer, it's no wonder there are so many PSP accessory options available to enhance user's experience with their PSP device.

There are few among us who, at one time or another, had not had to manage some level of impaired vision. Whether age has rendered us no longer able to see far away or up close, or we have suffered an illness or disease that has compromised our vision, it is likely that, if we have not already, we will someday need corrective measures to help us see at our best.

And for those who have long managed the expense and inconvenience of eyeglasses and contact lenses, the idea of corrective eye surgery seems most appealing. It's no wonder, therefore, that Lasik eye surgery has continued to grow in popularity since it was first performed in the United States in 1991.

Lasik is relatively new on the scene to us – the consumers; but in actuality the technology has been a long time coming. In fact, in 1948, Columbian ophthalmologist, Jose Barraquer first experimented with corneal procedures by actually surgically removing more than half of a patient's cornea that he then froze. Once the cornea had been frozen to an appropriate temperature, Dr. Barraquer was able to reshape its surface thus removing barriers to clear vision.

Once the cornea had been reshaped it was replaced into the patient's eye. Such technology evolved by the 1960s to the point where such corneal procedures could be done without removing the cornea from the patient's eye; this procedure was perfected and performed in Russia and involved the use of a scalpel.

Lasik began to take shape in the early 1980s when a US ophthalmologist made alterations to laser technology that had begun to be used by the US military. But in 1990, Lucio Buratto and Ioannis Pallikaris developed the Lasik surgery that we know today by combining methods of two pre-existing techniques – keratomileusis and photorefractive keratectomy. Both keratomileusis and photorefractive keratectomy are techniques in which the cornea is reshaped with the use of an excimer laser or other technology.

The word Lasik refers to Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis and is a form of refractive laser eye surgery that was first performed in the United States in1991. During the procedure, the patient's eye is immobilized with the use of a cornea suction ring after which the surgeon creates a flap through an incision made in the top layer of the corneal tissue.

The flap is then lifted back to reveal the mid-section of the cornea – known as the stroma. The surgeon then uses a low-powered excimer laser to resurface the stroma. The corneal flap made during the procedure is then replaced over the stroma; the healing process is natural and generally speedy. The procedure itself is very quick – usually less than 10 minutes an eye – and virtually painless. The most discomfort experienced by the patient is general anxiety in anticipation of the procedure.

Today, over one-million people in the United States alone have undergone Lasik surgery – generally with very good success. In fact, it is a very small percentage of patients – less than 6% - who have experienced any complications following their procedure. Such complications generally include light sensitivity, dry eye, double vision, and scarring. These incidences, however, are very rare and can be greatly reduced by having your procedure performed by a reputable and experienced surgery center.

Although Sony only released its PSP (PlayStation Portable) in March of 2005, it has been updated with new accessories on almost a daily basis. The PSP is a small handheld device weighing just over half a pound, but packs the fullest punch for the audio-video enthusiast. Its capabilities include playing back music, movies, television shows, other saved or downloaded video clips, wireless Internet connection, and its primary purpose: video games in a portable system.

All this is available to users anytime of day or night and virtually anywhere. The most recent release accessory announced by Sony is the PSP camera. This comes as a joy to PSP users on the go all around the world looking to complete their micro entertainment center with the ability to not only view picture and videos, but actually take their own pictures and videos with their PSP.

The PSP camera was first announced at the E3 in Japan in March of 2006, where it also made its first public demo behind protective glass. The camera will don the name of Chotto Shot. Physically it is a small and seemingly basic camera lens about the size of the bottom half of your thumb that attaches to the top of the PSP system just above the screen. As if a camera attachment to the PSP would not be enough to complete this compact media center, the quick shot camera will also have a GPS attachment available. The camera is capable of delivering 1.3 megapixel image quality for the pictures as well as the video clips it captures.

Also included with the camera's features is its digital zoom ability, allowing the user to bring the object of their photos closer than they can reach. A mono microphone will be included with this camera attachment to round out the extraordinary value of this extremely tiny little package. The microphone will capture the sounds to accompany video filming. And to protect your new addition, a protective carrying case is available. It's incredible to think that in a handheld device as small as the PSP, you can have the ability to play countless games, connect to the Internet, view pictures, listen to music, watch movies and other videos, and now take pictures and movies.

The PSP camera and GPS attachment officially went on sale in Japan in December of 2006. The price tag was equivalent to a miniscule $50 US for this incredible little bundle. As of March of 2007, Sony has not committed to a release date for the PSP camera in the United States. For this outstanding value, the release could not be soon enough.

With the constant upgrading of the PSP and the accessories available, Sony has truly created a portable handheld device capable of managing all things media. With the upcoming addition of the PSP camera to the line up of accessories, the capabilities extend as far as the galaxy reaches. The PSP system has taken entertainment, gaming, and media to a whole new world.

Those gifted enough to perform massage on a regular basis are typically vastly experienced and enormously trained. A career as a massage therapist brings with it the power to emotionally – and sometimes physically – heal their clients, enormous flexibility, and the chance to do something that you profoundly love. Those professionals who practice the art of massage do so after attending one of many massage therapy schools designed to train, and often place, those interested in pursuing massage therapy as a career.

Massage therapy schools exist throughout the world and offer comprehensive programs that allow those who are interested to become licensed massage therapists. The length and prices of the program differ from school to school but the general nature of the material taught tends to remain consistent throughout; a massage therapy school will train students in the art and science of massage including the techniques required to perform specific types of massage.

Upon completion of the program, massage therapy schools will offer their students the opportunity to acquire National Certification through an examination given by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). Such certification makes you exceedingly more marketable to any potential employers and puts your clients at ease that they have chosen a massage therapist that adheres to the NCBTMB's stringent guidelines. There are over 80,000 massage therapists who are certified through the NCBTMB.

Schools dedicated to massage therapy will also often offer comprehensive career counseling – helping to place newly accredited massage therapists into their first positions. It's important to look for a school that has a standing in the community in which you hope to work. Ask about their track record in placing students into jobs following the completion of the program. In some cases, the school will offer apprenticeships in area establishments. In other cases, the school itself is the apprenticeship – offering discount massage to clients who allow students to work on them in the name of training.

The NCBTMB can also be quite helpful in actually choosing between massage therapy schools; you can look for those programs that have been endorsed by the NCBTMB and work from there regarding location, course schedule, and price.

The school that you choose should also ensure that you are well-versed in all areas of massage; everything from Swedish and deep tissue massage to hot stone therapy and cranial-sacral massage – giving you instant marketability in the ever-growing spa industry.

But there is also therapeutic massage – such as infant massage, geriatric massage, sports massage, and massage that is used in the rehabilitation and medical arenas. This type of massage makes therapists marketable in medical environments where their work can be instrumental in promoting healing.

Massage therapy schools can ultimately change your life; if you feel that massage is something that you would get pleasure from giving on a regular basis then it may be the career for you. Not only will you be bringing stress relief to your clients, you will also be helping them to have an increased physical and emotional wellbeing.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Owning a boat is just the beginning. In order to get your new boat from one location to another, you're going to need a boat trailer. In fact, boat trailers come in many different styles and weight capacities, so a little research in advance will help you make the right decision when it comes to deciding what kind of boat trailer you need.

Boat trailers come in several styles and are made of different materials. Some are made of aluminum and have certain weight capacity limits. Some are designed for inboard boats only, while others are designed for larger, outboard craft. Most boat trailers purchased at a boating supply warehouse can hold up to 15,000 pounds, but always check specifications before purchasing one.

Many boat yards offer one-size-fits-all boat trailers, but try to avoid the temptation of saving a few dollars to buy such a generic boat trailer. Purchasing boat trailers to specifically fit your boat will prevent slippage, wear and tear and possibly more severe damage when towing back and forth.

Boat trailers can be called many different things, such as Easy Loader boat trailers, or Magic Tilt or Fast-Load boat trailers. Each boat trailer is designed and made with one specific boat model in mind, so be choosy when it comes time to narrow down your boat trailer search to just the right fit for your boat. Some boat trailers are totally submersible while others aren't.

Floating style boat trailers offer aluminum I-beam designs as well as catamaran storage cradles and boat lifts. Fast load boat trailers offer single axle, tandem axle in both 'regular' and heavy-duty designs, as well as triple axle models. Some boat trailers come with rollers, bunks or boards, and deciding which one is best for you and your boat isn't easy.

Experience loading and unloading your boat will often have a big impact on decisions about which type of boat trailers to purchase, so if you're a novice, you may want to head for your local boating dealer and ask some pertinent questions.

Price ranges of various boat trailers also depends on which type you want, its construction materials and whether or not you have your boat trailer customized. Many people customize a generic boat trailer to their boats, while others opt to have such customization done upon ordering. Boat trailers can cost hundreds to thousands of dollars, so make sure to check around on brand names and prices when narrowing down your search.

When thinking of purchasing boat trailers, make sure that your vehicle is able to pull the weight of both trailer and boat when loaded. You'd be amazed at how many people don't take the combined weight of the two into consideration when buying. For this reason, many professional boaters opt to purchase aluminum style boat trailers, as they are more lightweight than galvanized steel and are also easier to keep clean and shiny.

Owning a boat can be a lot of fun, but it's also an expensive hobby, or sport, or business accessory. No matter what you're using your boat for, boat trailers are a necessary piece of boating equipment, and finding the right one for your skills and your boat is essential.

Laminate countertops are the most popular countertops on the market today. Laminate is made up of several layers of synthetic material, including Kraft paper that is used in making paper bags. Laminate is such a versatile material that it is used for much more than countertops. Bowling alleys have replaced wood for laminate. Boat interiors are lined with laminate.

Laminate countertops come in more colors, patterns and finishes than any other type of countertop. No matter how unique your decor is you can find laminate countertops to match. From reds to blues to blacks, there is a laminate countertop for everyone. If you desire the look of granite, stone or hardwood, there is a laminate countertop that can satisfy you. You will particularly love laminate countertops if you do a lot of entertaining. The cleanup and maintenance of this surface is foolproof.

Laminate countertops are easy to clean but don't use abrasives. Any type of mild soap and a paper towel or dish cloth should do the trick. If you have a tough stain, you can use baking soda and a mild household cleaning. Swipe the area with a nylon bristle brush. You can use bleach, but using too much bleach can discolor your laminate countertops. Laminate countertops are nonporous and do not need to be sealed like stone countertops.

Unfortunately, if laminate countertops are damaged, they are difficult to repair. This is because the material is layered. These layers can also break apart if exposed to hot items or hot water. You should never place a hot pot, pan or other item directly on a laminate countertop. Make sure you place a pot holder or trivet between the countertop and surface. Laminate countertops are susceptible to cuts so if you are cutting vegetables, use a cutting board. If you do cut the laminate, it cannot be repaired and you will have to replace it.

Since the layers of laminate are made of Kraft paper, you may see dark lines at the edges. To avoid this, install the countertops from wall to wall. You can also trim laminate countertops with a wood or steel to hide the dark lines. When laminate countertops are edged properly, it is hard to tell them from higher priced stone countertops.

Laminate countertops are the most inexpensive type of countertop on the market today. The cost is between $5 and $30 per square foot at most retail outlets. You can also save on labor costs because laminate countertops are easier to install and take less time. Many homeowners install laminate countertops themselves.

Most local home improvement stores sell laminate countertops and can provide samples. Laminate countertops have also become a popular exhibit at home shows. Vendors will demonstrate how easy they are to clean and how durable they are. They will compare the look of laminate countertops to more expensive stone and solid surface countertops. If you want to research you purchase before you go to the store or home show, You can search online for laminate countertops.

E-Centives is an Internet coupon company that specializes in offering a proprietary Internet coupon system. It capitalizes on the appeal that coupons have for consumers and the real shopper savings that are to be enjoyed by the discriminating coupon user. E-Centives Internet Coupon system directly appeals to Internet retailers to take advantage of coupons as an advertising and marketing tool to bring customers in for the first time and to keep them returning, but safely.

E-Centives Internet Coupon may represent the wave of the future in Internet coupons. Not only does this concern recognise the potential harm associated with coupon fraud, it has designed ways to combat it. Online retailers are offered coupons that once issued by E-Centives Internet Coupon system can be tracked and monitored for alteration. However this is not the most important aspect of this feature. With the coupon associated tracking ability the coupon becomes a powerful marketing tool since it allows statistics to be gathered on the coupon user. Items like how was the coupon used, which retailer was it redeemed, how much was the amount of the purchase, the type of item purchased and more demographics can be obtained through the tracking offered by E-Centives. E-Centives and companies like them assure potential clients that their distribution methods are targeted and selective and aimed at a desirable type of consumer. Bulk mailings and general online website distribution are not allowed.

For instance and high end company that offers items for babies has just added a line of car seats to its inventory. The internet coupons this retailer offers will allow a percentage off purchase of only the car seats, However, the customer will probably also browse at least a portion of the catalo while searching for this item. The tracking demographics collected will allow the merchant to see which items are popular and which items require an incentive to sell. He can then order coupons to these items. The ability to track the in store online purchases, allows the retailer to better know his clientele and to better create an inventory that reflects their tastes and requirements. The merchant can also spot trends and try to place orders soon enough to satisfy these shopping needs. Most of all, the online retailer can use E-Centives Internet Coupon system to identify and reward return customers by issuing special coupons to them, such as a percent off coupon on his regular order.

E-Centives Internet Coupon System is one of several new internet companies that take into account both the potential abuse that coupon use represents and also the enormous popularity of coupons for consumers. It melds these factors together with state of the art systems that provide security and demographics gathering. They truly represent the pulse of the Internet shopping public.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Video games are big business to the financial world. It is important for video games developers to constantly improve upon their existing games and to develop new ones. Companies hire Hollywood calibre graphic artists to provide Oscar winning quality graphics. Focus groups try to spot trends and preferences to target what features should be added to traditional games or incorporated into new ones. Children are often "hired" as consultants to test games and report on their appeal and flaws. They are paid with newly developed games and game related items, such as a Nintendo player or Game boy instruments.

But what features are crucial in the development of a popular Video game that will be successful financially? Of all the elements that comprise a popular video game, interactivity is the most important. This feature enables the player to explore virtual environments that range from realistic depictions of the normal world to highly stylised, artistic virtual environments, and sometimes alternate between them. Interactivity allows the flow of the game to change with the player's movements and decisions, thereby creating an individual scenario or experience for each player and every game. Interactivity has given rise to the phenomenon of emergent narrative, which occurs within the context of the game and represents the player's reactions to elements of the game and even his own reactions to them. It is this emergent narrative concept that makes playing the game and experience that is unique to the players and to each and every game played.

A sense of danger, or at least drama, is important to a successful video game. To the extent that a player is drawn into the game and feels involved is proportional to the success and popularity of a video game. Graphic presentation of the game is integral to this and most games require eye popping, three-dimensional artwork. The graphics must present and create a virtual environment that is alluring, navigable and ever changing in response to the player's actions. Most video games rely nearly equally, ironically enough, both on repetition and the element of surprise to create a hypnotic world that remains both challenging and interesting. Most video games must tell a story and the level of manual dexterity required to play the game increases as the complexity of the story line gets more involved.

Finally, music plays a fundamental role in popular video games. Music adds to the mood, the element of surprise and the general tone of the video game. Video game players no longer choose games on the basis of graphics and character appeal alone. Now the type of music that is incorporated into the game is equally important in the selection process. And the overwhelmingly most desired form of music in video games is hip-hop. This form of music provides an intensity that draws the player in, and the rhythmic beat makes for a hypnotic quality. Hip-hop is the type of music that the player can coordinate his movements to and achieve a movement flow with. Hip Hop gives energy of its own to the game and is rapidly becoming a key element in the development of a popular video game.

Percussion is one of the ancient musical instruments used by early human civilizations. These instruments are widely used not only for musical purposes but also as a symbol of cultural and religious values. Before shopping for percussion instruments it is always advisable to understand them properly.

All percussion instruments fall under two broad groups tuned and untuned. Shakers and hand drums that produce undefined pitches belong to untuned category where as marimbas, steel pans, and xylophone that creates defined tonal ranges falls under tuned category. Today a variety of percussion instruments are available in the market.

It is widely believed that the percussion instruments are originated from African continent symbolizing their ancient culture. Djembe is one of the earliest versions of percussions. It is basically a large goblet-shaped drum carved of wood and fitted with animal skin. This instrument is played using bare hands and sometimes with sticks. Djembe is gaining popularity among western music lovers recently.

The thumb piano is a melodic percussion musical instrument having a carved wooden body and flattened nails or similar metals as keys. Tama or talking drum is tied with vertical strings across the body to produce changed pitches. It is believed to talk with skilled players while playing with curved stick.

Udu is a pot shaped percussion instrument made of clay with narrow mouth and a hole in the side. This instrument is played by beating the clay surface in one hand and moving the other hand on the hole and mouth producing magnificent sound effects. Gadam is a similar type of clay instrument widely used in Indian subcontinent while performing carnatic classical music.

Congas are the widely used Afro Cuban originated percussion musical instrument. Originally congas were made of wood staves and calfskin heads. Synthetic and fiberglass shells are used in modern congas which results in louder volume projection. Congas are normally associated with other two types of drums named tumba and quinto. Usually these three instruments come as a set and are kept in conga gig bags or cases for better performance.

Bongos are another kind of small hand drums originated from Cuba and are played in sitting position keeping the instrument between the legs. Timbales were originally iron vessels used in transporting sugarcanes. Steel or brass is used in modern timbales to produce powerful cutting tone which is suitable for any music styles like rock, Latin and fusion.

The xylophone is a kind of tuned percussion instrument made of wooden bars of various lengths with vibrating tubes below them with piano like keyboards.

Wooden, rubber or plastic headed mallets are used to play such instruments. Xylophones are used in variety of music styles including ethnic, jazz and classical.

Drum is one of the most popular music instruments. Drums are played everywhere, be a music concert or any religious gathering or a popular event like foot ball tournament. Many music-enthusiastics including school children and young people wish to have their own drum kits. But contrary to popular belief buying the first drum kit is not an easy one. As drum kit consists of various parts like kikdrum, kick pedal and numerous other parts, it involves a huge expenditure and planning.

First step in buying a drum kit is estimating the budget. Drums come with wide range of price tags. But the advantage here over other instruments is that one need not buy all the drums and the accessories in one go. They can be purchased one by one as and when the budget permits and can be assembled as per convenience. One can start with single drum and sticks and increase one by one gradually. Starter packs and junior drum sets are good money savers while performing quality music.

A complete drum set consists of Kick Drum with Pedal, Snare Drum with Pedal. Hi-Hate Cymbals with stands, Crash cymbal, Drum Throne and Drum sticks, and also a Floor Tom and a second mounted tom. Here are some important components of drum kit.

Normally, shell packs do not include stand and other accessories. Inexpensive shell kits are made of mahogany or basswood where as the higher end models use birch or maple in order to produce rich tones. The stands in which the drums and cymbals are fitted are known as hardware. Good hardware is made of chrome as they can withstand the heavy beatings. Bass Drum is a big drum fixed on the floor and a foot pedal is used to play them.

Snare drum is kept on a stand between the player's legs and has head top and bottom. Tension rods are used to fasten the heads with the rims. There are series of parallel mounted metal strands tightly stretched across called snares. Snares can be adjusted using a switch provided in the side of the drum.

Toms are other drums that come with drum kit. Tom drums have deep round tones and are mounted on Mounted Toms. Toms with legs are called Floor Toms. Cymbals are one of the important elements in any drum kit. They are made of an alloy of brass and bronze. There are different types of Cymbals that produces variety of accents and variations. For beginners cymbal starter pack is the best option which consists of a crash cymbal, a ride cymbal and a couple of hi-hates.

Drum sticks are simple but are very important elements of drum kit. Many drums come with sticks and others do not. It is very important to check whether the sticks are accompanied with the drum. If not, it should be purchased along with the drums.

Goggles are also important when playing basketball. It is nice to know that the eyes are protected because the eyesight is one of the primary tools in playing the game. The eyes are the ones used in seeing where to turn to in passing the ball or even when going for that crucial 3-point shot.

While it is not the norm in professional basketball, except when there are certain eye injuries to attend to, to wear an eye-guard, those who loves to throw some hoops either in the neighborhood or in a gym might want to wear one for ultimate eye protection.

An effective eye-guard should feature high impact, one-piece shatterproof polycarbonate lenses that ensure ultimate eye protection. It should also have a curved shield design for maximum peripheral and excellent down vision and a shock absorbent brow bridge with padded nose-piece protector for ample nose protection. As playing basketball could be done outdoors or indoors, additional various colored lenses should also be made available to allow for optimum vision in all lighting conditions. For a more comfortable and custom fit, fully removable side pads should also be installed on the goggles.

An adjustable and washable head-strap and sweatbands should also be part of the ensemble, not only to hold the eye-guard in place but also to absorb the sweat around the eyes. To ensure that your eye-guard gets back to you once it gets lots, it should have an owner identification tag with it.

The perfect goggles' lenses should be coated for anti-scratch and anti-fog resistance. It should also be contained in a micro-fiber lens cleaning and protective storage pouch. This is to make sure that the goggle lasts a longer time by protecting it from wear and tear.

Aside from protecting the eyes, there is also another kind of goggle that could help an aspiring basketball player in his skills. This is a basketball dribble aid or what could be called training goggles.

This type of goggle should fit close to the face for a comfortable fit as well as to block all downward vision as this will teach an aspirant to look down the court without looking at the ball while dribbling. This will also help in developing fundamental skills in ball handling and will increase a player's court awareness.

This goggle, aside from protecting the eyes from possible injury while training, will not interfere in shooting the basketball.

Both types of goggles are important in ensuring the protection of the eyes. Though the other is used as a training aid, the wearer is also ensured that the goggle will protect his eyes from possible injuries that could result from too much rough-handling while doing the game.

So when you plan to shoot some serious hoops either indoors or outdoors, you might want to think twice in going there with your eyes unprotected. Be sure to wear goggles so you not only enjoy the game, you are also spared from being too cautious about your eyes.

It is amazing how many gadgets you can find to use in your kitchen. There are cake decorating bags that can make you feel like a pastry chef at an exclusive resort, talking bottle openers that root for your favorite team, talking pizza cutters that sound like Homer Simpson and handheld bug zappers that make sure your dining experience is not interrupted by uninvited guests.

People enjoy reaching into their cupboards and finding the latest in cooking equipment too. Many people prefer to use more than one sauté pan at a time, and find that they prefer two of the same size in many cases. It's refreshing to know that there are online kitchen collections that will let people pick and choose which cookware items they need to use in their kitchens.

There are an abundant amount of novelty gadgets that will keep everyone amused for hours. For Nascar fan, there might be a slow cooker with their favorite driver's logo on the side. This item would be perfect for tailgate parties and at-home parties where friends would be amazed at your cleverness and the marvelous food that each cooker holds.

When people cook dinner, they want to be able to prepare delectable meals for their family, but do not want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. They prefer to use their precious time off from work with family member. Every meal can be a festive occasion when you are equipped with cooking items such as omelet pans, non-stick griddles and 30 quart stock pots filled to the rim with lobster and crawfish.

Kitchens can be organized to save time and many cooks prefer to use pot racks to hang their marvelous assortment of steaming vessels. One night they might select a round BBQ wok and create Asian cuisine that is out of this world. Another night, they might cook a splendid pork roast that is so succulent the juices are 2 inches deep in the pan.

For any person that wants to learn how to cook better, there is always the standard cook book that stands ready to guide you through the motions. A kitchen crisis might be order however, when you have recipes that were handed down several generations and someone asks you to prepare them for a family gathering. While you can read the recipe quite clearly, you are unsure if your kitchen has the right pots and pans to get the job done in stellar fashion.

Some cooking pans are equipped with vents, and others feature pure stainless steel tops that provide a full seal around the top with a overhanging edge. Many of these types of lids have inserts that can be used for home canning projects. The more perplexing pieces of equipment that can be found in the kitchen are double-boiler types that are rarely used but are one of the things that old recipes require from time to time. Knowing which one is the right one to use in these marvelous recipes might make the difference between success and failure in your cooking endeavors.

Spring is at hand and soon enough summer is just around the corner. It is during both of these seasons when we can have the time to wear clothes that are less uncomfortable and less bulky at that. This will be the chance to do away with heavy coats and jackets. This is our chance when we can show off the body assets that we have long been working for at the gym.

Shopping for warmer clothes can be oh so fun. With all the bright colors to give that summer feel, you can get confused with all the choices available in the market. But before you splurge your money on the latest trends and fashion for this season, you have to bear in mind important pointers to ensure you get what you need with your available budget and so as not to make purchases that you may soon regret.

I would strongly advise that you stick to basics. Although fashion shops will be tempting you with the latest fashion items in colors that can be very flashy, sticking to those that never go out of style through the seasons would be a wise investment if you are thinking long term. I am not saying that you shouldn't purchase clothes that are in fashion. Once in a while you could splurge on what's hip especially if you have the budget to pay for it. I just think though that before buying a skirt in a hot pink color, make sure that you have clothes to mix and match with it.

It is a big fashion no-no to wear matching colored top and bottom. It would look way much nicer to wear different or contrasting colors to always make your outfit look exciting and not boring.

Selecting neutral colors like white, black, beige, cream and blue would be very ideal for bottoms. You could always just match it with different colored tops. Knowing how to mix and match your clothes would make you seem like you have so many outfits to choose from when in truth you only have a few of them.

Get ideas from fashion magazines and catalogs. With your own creativity and resourcefulness you could imitate the outfits and looks projected by the models for even a fraction of the cost if you just know where to look. Bring out your fashion sense this summer and always remember that the clothes you purchase are considered an investment.
