The baby shower punch bowl could be a beautiful part of the decorations that you pick for the party. Traditionally, a punch bowl looks plain and simple. Why not change that? Explore the opportunities you have and enjoy decorating the baby shower in your own specific way.

The punch bowl could be easily integrated in your decoration efforts. In fact, it can be the central part of your buffet table. Emphasis on colors or the usage of decorative toys and items can result in a beautiful baby shower punch bowl.

    Pink and Blue

The punch bowl has to correspond to at least one aspect of the baby shower. If you choose decorations that are gender specific, you can easily use this strategy to turn the punch bowl into something fun or attractive.

The easiest way to address the issue is the selection of an appropriate color.

Your punch bowl could be pink if the mom-to-be is expecting a girl or blue in case the baby is boy.

Get the bowl itself colored or color the punch so that it acts as a decorative element. The selection of appropriate ingredients will make it both tasty and colorful enough to catch the attention of visitors.

    Ducklings

The bowl can come in the shape of any baby toy. A duckling is one option. Keep in mind that making a bowl in a specific form could be difficult. You may be able to discover such bowls in stores but these could be more expensive than regular bowls.

Another option is to have ducklings 'swimming' in the punch. These decorations look cute and adorable. A blue-colored punch or punch bowl will look like a lake. Use your imagination to create a beautiful pond and have several rubber ducklings swimming in it.

    Multi-Color

A multi-colored punch bowl will be very exciting and fun. A baby shower is a jolly occasion and each item present in the room should be an expression of happiness.

Lemons, cherries, mint, a brightly colored punch and a beautiful punch bowl will turn into something beautifully exhilarating. Cocktail decorations can be utilized, as well. Try to keep it both colorful and stylish by sticking to one type of material or a specific color palette.

    Following the Party Theme

The party theme itself can help you create the most attractive and appropriate baby shower punch bowl.

Sea shells will look great on the bowl, in case the baby shower is beach-themed. You can use glitter, crayons or stickers to recreate nearly any theme. Dried leaves and flowers or even pebbles will help you change a simple bowl into a piece of jewelry for the table.

    Flowers

Flowers will always look appropriate. Have a flower-decorated punch bowl as a delicate and stylish buffet table highlight.

You can have several orchids floating inside the bowl. Make sure you wash little pieces of dirt or mud. Artificial, dried flowers or petals can be used to decorate the bowl itself.

A punch bowl can be anything you want. Use your imagination to turn simple baby shower items into decorations. Who said you have to rely solely on the decorations you can find in a store? Making those yourself will be fun and is going to help you create unique party atmosphere.

Article Title: How to Have a Long Distance Baby Shower

A long distance baby shower is a great idea when the mom-to-be lives far away and is unable to attend. Very often, close friends and dearest ones have to relocate, making party organization and spending time together difficult.

The long distance baby shower is a bit more unusual than the traditional one. Still, technologies can be used to establish connections and guests will be having fun.

Being the hostess of a long distance baby shower signifies considering certain aspects of the party in advance. You will have to get organized and you will have to do some coordination across a long distance but you are certain to enjoy the process.

Should You Hold a Long Distance Baby Shower?

A long distance baby shower needs to be held, whenever the mom-to-be is separated from her dearest friends or is unable to currently travel.

Even if she lives far away, the mom-to-be will need specific products and items. Friends can get those and attend a party dedicated to the new mom and her child. A baby shower is the symbol of respect, love and friendship.

Organizing a long distance baby shower could be more demanding. You need to have some patience and you will certainly organize a great party that will make the mom-to-be happy.

    Invitation Specifics

Invitations for a long distance baby shower are no different than the traditional ones. The aim of the invite is to provide guests with essential information and to mention what the party theme is going to be.

Your invitations should mention the fact that the mom-to-be will be unable to attend. If you forget making a note about it, you will be misleading guests and you will get many people disappointed.

The invitation should also contain some guidelines and directions about the most appropriate types of gifts. Think carefully about this aspect, since shipping large items could be expensive and complex.

    Use Technologies

Internet has given you new and wonderful ways to communicate with people from other countries and continents. Harness its potential and give the mom-to-be a chance to 'attend' her baby-shower.

Messaging programs have a video chat option that will be the best tool you can use. Get the mom-to-be sitting in front of her computer and provide guests of the party with a chance to talk to her and to wish her all the best.

    Activities and Questions

Internet can be used to give guests a chance to have fun together with the mom-to-be. Games and quizzes are to diversify the agenda and help everyone break the ice.

One of the best activities for a long distance baby shower is a trivia quiz. Ask some questions about the mom-to-be and get her to confirm the right answers. She could even be the person asking the questions.

Make sure that you have enough information, especially if you are incapable of establishing a web connection. Know how the mom-to-be feels and all the details about her pregnancy. People will be asking you questions. Make sure you know the answers.

    Shipping Gifts

Once the party is over, you will be shipping the gifts. This is the final part of a long distance baby shower.

Pack everything and make sure that all of the items are secured and labeled. Each present needs to have a card, mentioning who the gift-giver is.

Before you hold the party, consult a transportation of goods company concerning prices and delivery deadlines. You should be paying for shipping so that the mom-to-be is left with the wonderful task of getting her presents and unwrapping them.

Have you tried to compare condo assessments of a particular condo association with another one?

Due to various factors, it's impossible to make an accurate comparison

There are many reasons why it's difficult to compare condominiums:

Age of the condo buildings may differ

    Mechanical systems may differ

Type of materials used in buildings (brick, siding, stucco, wood)

Decks/Balcony on unit? - Is the unit owner or the Association responsible for repairs? Made of wood?

Elevators onsite? - If so, how many?

    Parking garage onsite?

Amenities of each association may differ (and may include: pool, tennis courts, fitness center, laundry room, lobby, clubhouse, etc

Are there a lot of trees and/or landscaping in the common areas?

Landscaping? Who mows the lawn - the unit owner or the association?

Roads and/or parking lots - Are they private or public?

Utilities: Does the unit owner or the Association pay for water, electric, gas, cable, or wifi? It may vary greatly by association

Does the building have any construction defects? Is the builder still around?

    Has the association deferred maintenance?

Maintenance agreements: Does the condo association have regular maintenance agreements with its vendors? This would usually cover the elevators, mechanical equipment, pool, plumbing, etc. Not having these agreements or performing regular maintenance will usually result in higher repair costs and possibly costly emergency repairs.

Has the Association had a Reserve study done? If so, are the Reserve funds properly funded? Does the Condo association have to catch-up?

Does the Association have annual audits? (They usually cost $3,000 to $6,000 per year)

Has a Reserve Study been performed? If so, is the association following its guidelines?

When was the roof last replaced? If more than 15 years ago, the condo association may need to assess higher dues. They may need to save money to be able to replace the roof when needed. (This is assuming the reserve fund is low)

Have there been many plumbing leaks? If so, has the problem been corrected?

Does the community have many delinquencies? If so, cash flow may be poor and the dues may be high to compensate for those units that can't pay

Has the community been involved in any lawsuits? If so, legal fees the insurance premiums may be high

If it's a relatively new condo association (within 5 years), the dues may not have increased since being set up by the developer. Developers usually set the initial dues artificially low, in order to sell units. If they were low to begin with and haven't been increased much, the association may have a cash flow problem or underfunded reserves.

Does the Board of Directors like to be popular and refuse to raise dues, even when necessary?

Does the Association borrow from its reserve fund to pay for operating expenses (regular maintenance, landscaping, etc) in order to avoid increasing dues?

Is one condo association managed better than the other? Are costs and contracts reviewed at least annually?

Based on many factors, it's impossible to make a valid comparison of condo association dues.

You have dozens of baby jars stored in your kitchen cupboard. Making beautiful decorative items out of them will give you the chance to have fun and to turn those useless jars into something cute or practical.

Sounds great and you are already feeling enthusiastic. The big question is: what exactly can you make out of baby food jars?

Some baby food jar crafts are excellent for beginners and demand little preparation and creative skills. You can even come up with your own creative ideas. In case you are looking for inspiration, keep on reading to discover some effective and fun ideas.

    Spice Jars

If you want to organize your spices and herbs, you can easily turn baby food jars into spice jars.

The simplest way to do that is to add a label to each baby food jar. Use a beautiful decorative font and print the labels on stickers.

Another option is to turn the jars into something more decorative and aesthetically pleasing. Use paint to transform the baby food jars. Paint on the outside so that the herbs and spices inside remain fresh and safe.

    Candle Holders

A baby jar will make a beautiful candle holder. If you feel like it, you can create gel wax candles.

A simpler option is to use a tea candle. The jar itself can be painted so that the light of the candle becomes colored. Use pebbles, seashells and dried leaves. Pour some water inside the baby jar and gently place the tea candle inside.

    Animal Figures

Have fun together with your children. Turn the baby food jars into cute animal figures. A bunny is one of the easiest things to make together with your little ones.

Cut the ears out of cardboard and stick those to the top of the jar. You can either leave it transparent or have it painted white in advance. Once the paint dries, you can continue decorating.

Draw the eyes. You can use pepper grains or other black spheres to make the eyes. A cotton ball will turn into a beautiful rabbit tail. Draw the mouth of the rabbit and make the front teeth of cardboard. A pom pom will get transformed into the rabbit nose.

    Potpourri Jars

Potpourri jars require little effort and can become wonderful homemade gifts for your dearest friends.

To make potpourri jars, you will need your favorite type of potpourri, ribbons and baby food jars. You will need the jar lids, as well. Get any other items that you will need to get the jar decorated.

Get your potpourri of preference inside the jar. Have several wholes cut into the lid and close the jar. Cover with lace, colorful paper or any other type of permeable material. This is important, as you would want the smell to be emitted in a delicate way.

Use the ribbon to tie the 'membrane' and decorate in any way that you find appropriate and pleasing.

    Snow Globes

A snow globe can be made out of a baby food jar. These snow globes will decorate your home or will turn into beautiful Christmas gifts for your friends and dearest relatives.

Get the baby food jars cleaned and color the lids. Place decorative object inside – pebbles, plastic snowflakes, seashells. If you want to keep objects inside static, stick those to the bottom of the jar. Add a tiny bit of glitter. Fill the jar with water and close tightly.

Your snow globes are ready. Now you can either decorate the glass of the jar or you can keep the design clean and minimalist.

Many pregnant ladies believe wrongly that they can no longer exercise. The truth is that certain fitness routines have been designed especially for the needs of moms-to-be and their bodies. Some exercises improve circulation while others increase the capacity of the lungs. Both breathing and circulation are essential to the health of mom and unborn baby.

Exercises for pregnant ladies need to be less strenuous but certain routines have been developed for each trimester of pregnancy. Learning these exercises and working out on a regular basis can turn into the guarantee for a problem-free and happy pregnancy.

According to doctors, a pregnancy that is uncomplicated demands physical activity. It is very important to see how your body is responding to exercises and to modify anything that makes you feel uncomfortable.

Exercises for the First Trimester of Pregnancy

You need to work out two to three times per week. Try to perform the routine several hours after having a meal.

Learn to monitor your pulse. It should never exceed 130 to 140 beats per minute. To control your breathing and the intensity of the exercise, you should take several stretching breaks during your workout session.

The uterus increases in size during the first trimester of pregnancy. Your body will start adjusting and getting ready to protect and nurture the growing baby.

Exercises during that period should stimulate the work of the cardiovascular system and the lungs.

Aerobic exercises are the ones that target the work of the heart and the lungs. Swimming is one of the best types of sports that you can practice during the first trimester. Refrain from doing it if you are suffering from severe morning sickness, fatigue and general indisposition.

Walking and fast walking are suitable, as well. You can do limited weight lifting to keep muscles fit.

Exercises for the Second Trimester of Pregnancy

Your blood pressure will fluctuate during the second trimester and hormone levels will keep on changing.

During that period, you will begin experiencing bodily changes. Breasts will enlarge and the pelvic inclination will change. These bodily modifications will put strain on the back muscles.

Yoga is very good for the second trimester of pregnancy. Focus on breathing exercises and stretching. Forget about exercises that will have you laying on your back.

Exercises for the Third Trimester of Pregnancy

This period will have the uterus growing even more. The heart is under significant strain and lungs change some of their functioning. The strain on back muscles increases even more.

Third trimester exercises should improve circulation. The intensity of exercises needs to go down.

Yoga remains suitable even for the period before you give birth. Forget about running and weightlifting. Gentle walks can be very beneficial. You should also stretch carefully, without overdoing it.

Remember to stop working out if you feel bad or dizzy all of the sudden. Your health and the health of your baby are certainly more important than fitness. Consult your doctor about the best types of exercises and be cautious each time you work out.

Article Title: How to Fix Invitation Typos and Misspellings

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Typos and spelling mistakes are always embarrassing. The situation becomes worse if the ugly mistakes appear on the invitation for a special event – a wedding, an anniversary, a birthday party or a shower.

Just imagine getting your beautiful invites. The paper is beautiful and visuals look stunning. You open it and right away you spot a silly typo that spoils the impeccable appearance of your invitation. What can you do in such situations?

Fixing such mistakes could be difficult and expensive. You have several ways to deal with the problem, depending on the seriousness of the mistake and the time when it was spotted.

Sit down and relax before undertaking anything. You will feel angry and embarrassed and you are very likely to make a bad decision. Take some time to think about it and to choose the most appropriate course of action.

    Double Check Before Sending

Even if you are certain that your invitation is impeccable, you should examine it at least one more time before sending out.

Very often, you will become so familiar with the appearance and the text of the invitation that you will become incapable of spotting any typo or spelling error. Refrain from looking at it for a day or two. Once you have forgotten about the invitation, take it out and read carefully. You may notice a mistake.

For best results, ask someone else to examine the invitation. People who are seeing it for the first time will be able to notice details that you are no longer paying attention to.

    Have the Invitations Reprinted

Spotting a mistake will make you feel very bad. Is it a major one? Does it affect the message and the information that guests will be getting?

If you have sufficient budget and enough time, you should consider reprinting the invitations. The fact is that many guests will not even notice your mistake but you would feel embarrassed, anyways.

Reprinting the invitations is the only certain way to fix typos and misspellings. This option, however, may be too expensive and thus unacceptable.

    Provide Guests with Additional Information

Some typos and spelling mistakes are significant enough to change the information you are providing – the date, the venue, the exact hour. Such mistakes will mislead guests. You need to get them corrected.

To make sure that guests are aware of the accurate date and time, give everyone a call. The process will be timely but this is the only certain way to deal with the mistake that has been made.

    Forget about It!

A small invitation mistake is something that people will neglect. You should probably carry on with party planning instead of getting panicked and dispirited.

A simple and unimportant mistake can be neglected. Yes, it certainly spoils the perfection that you want to achieve. Still, getting invites reprinted in such instances would be truly unjustified.

Everybody makes mistakes and having one on your invitation will not result into an apocalypse. If the mistake is fixable, do your best to make the corrections. You should otherwise carry on with preparations for your big event.

No matter what kind of party you're throwing – holiday event, bridal or baby shower – you can wow your guests with your culinary skills. You don't have to be a graduate of the CIA to make these recipes. All you need is quality ingredients, a little planning ahead, and patience to present a gorgeous plate of food. Here are two delicious entrees and a dessert that will make your party or meal complete.

    Paella

One fourth cup olive oil, plus 2 tablespoons

One half cup chorizo sliced into half-inch pieces

    Half a large onion, diced

    4 cloves of garlic, minced

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into chunks

One and a half cups Valencia rice

    2 cups chicken broth

    One half cup red wine

    One half pound mussels

    Salt to taste

Bijol powder (found in spice section)

One half pound medium raw shrimp, peeled and de-veined

One half pound clams (littlenecks or cherrystones)

    One fourth pound scallops

Meat of 2 lobster tails, reserve shells for garnish

    Half cup frozen green peas

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat olive oil in a large pan. Sauté chorizo sausage. onions, and garlic and sauté until wilted but not overcooked. Add chicken pieces and sauté for about 15 minutes until brown, but not fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

In a large pot combine the rice, broth, wine, and mussels. Add salt for flavor and Bijol for color. Stir. Turn on high and bring to boil and cover. Add chicken and chorizo. Cover and simmer on the stove for 30 minutes, until the rice is cooked. Sauté shrimp, clams, scallops, and lobster tails separately in the oil. Remove and keep warm. Fold seafood into the rice mixture. Transfer to a large, flat oven-safe platter to serve. Top with peas. Place in oven for about 5 minutes to heat through. Garnish with lobster shells.

    Coq au Vin

1 bottle of red wine (not too sweet, not too dry – a Beaujolais or Pinot Noir works best)

    1 cup chicken stock

    6-8 boneless chicken thighs

    1 cup frozen pearl onions

    Half stick of butter

1 lb. fresh mushrooms (cremini, oyster, shitake variety)

    6 strips of bacon, chopped

    2 tbsp. vegetable oil

    2 tbsp. flour or cornstarch

    Salt and pepper to taste

    Several sprigs of fresh thyme

    One medium spaghetti squash

In a large Dutch oven pot, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and cook frozen pearl onions and mushrooms until they're tender. Set aside. In the same pot, add chopped bacon pieces and cook down until all fat is rendered and the bacon is crisp, but not burned. Strain bacon out onto paper towel to drain.

Using remaining bacon fat, brown the chicken thighs for about ten minutes on both sides until golden brown on the outside. Salt and pepper as it's cooking. Add chicken stock, red wine, and thyme and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer, cover and let it cook for 30-45 minutes or until chicken is extremely tender.

In a preheated 425 degree oven, place halved and seeded spaghetti squash skin side up on a baking sheet and roast for 20-30 minutes. Remove and let it cool. Then, with a fork, rake out the squash into a bowl. It will resemble thick spaghetti.

Remove one cup of cooking liquid to separate bowl. Combine flour and two tablespoons of butter together and then whisk into the cooking liquid to form a thick sauce. Pour back into larger pot and stir well to thicken the rest of the sauce. Let it simmer an additional 10-15 minutes. Then add the onions and mushrooms back in and finally the bacon. Serve mixture over a bed of the spaghetti squash.

    Nova Scotia Blueberry Buckle

    One fourth cup butter

    Half cup sugar

    1 egg

    1 cup flour

    Half tsp. baking powder

    One third cup milk

2 cups fresh or frozen (thawed) blueberries

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together sugar and butter and then add egg and mix well. Sift flour, baking powder and salt and then add alternatively with milk and the first mixture. Then, add everything together and stir. Pour into a well-greased square pan. Spread blueberries evenly over the top.

In an a separate bowl, add half a cup sugar, one third cup flour, one half teaspoon cinnamon, and one fourth cup butter. Cut all ingredients together with a fork and then scatter the topping over the blueberries. Bake for 45 minutes to an hour. Serve with gourmet vanilla bean ice cream.

You've seen all the cake battles, icing wars, and decorating skirmishes on the cable cooking shows. It looks simple and easy to make your own tiered cake for a birthday party, baby shower, or wedding, but can anyone do it? Of course you can. All you need are the right tools, a little patience, and a willingness to try and you, too, can make a professional-looking cake in a matter of a few hours. Here's how to make your own three-tiered cake for a party.

The key to a perfect three-tiered cake is three separate cake pans of varying sizes. Whether you go for round or square pans, aim for 12 inch, 8 inch, and 6 inch pans as the resulting cakes will be ideal to stack. Before you actually start baking and assembling, make sure you have all of the proper tools. Simply visit a local bake store or an arts and crafts store for the things you'll need.

    Cake pans – 12, 8, and 6 inch pans

    Cooking spray

    Waxed paper

Two cake mixes (you can vary the flavors if you want)

Several cans of frosting (better to buy more)

Cake decorations of your choice (from store)

    Large flat spatula for icing

    Colored frosting tubes

Wooden dowels, if needed, or toothpicks

Cake plate or large piece of cardboard covered with aluminum foil

Preheat oven. Mix cake mixes according to directions on the box. Trace the bottom of each pan over a large sheet of waxed paper and cut to fit the pan. Spray with ample amount of cooking spray before pouring in the cake batter. Fill your three cake pans with equal amounts of batter and bake according to the directions.

Allow cakes to cool completely before trying to ice. If the cakes are even slightly hot, the icing will melt and not set right. Make cake plate out of cardboard and aluminum foil, large enough to accommodate the largest cake pan.

Take the largest cake and flip it upside down on the cake plate. Peel off the waxed paper and discard. Frost the cake all over and smooth out with the large spatula. Carefully flip the medium cake over in your hand and place in the center of the larger cake. Peel off the waxed paper, discard, and frost this cake. Repeat the process with the smaller cake. Use extra frosting to fill any holes or to smooth out the cake. Cake should be sturdy enough, but you can insert wooden dowels or toothpicks on each layer before icing.

Now, get as creative as you'd like by decorating the cake with candies, sugar flowers, or anything else you may get from the store. Use the colored icing tubes to make lattice work, loops, or to write out messages. Be creative and have fun. If you're making the cake for a themed baby shower, pick decorative items that follow along the rest of the party theme and colors.

Your friends will be impressed with your handiwork…and may even have you make cakes for all of their future parties.

Are you looking for the best and unique animal themes for kid's party or baby shower? Perhaps you have several ideas in mind but can't seem to pinpoint which one stands out the best. Animal themes have always fascinated children and adults and it is an easy theme to work with when planning a kid's party.

The most popular animal themes include ducks, kittens, bears, bunnies, and puppies. These adorable little animals are often associated with their colors and used extensively at the party. The yellow duck is one example. The cute baby animals also have striking appeal to the kids because they are small and adorable to look at. If one is having a baby shower, baby chicks and other baby animals can be good themes for the party. They symbolize new life. Birthday parties, on the other hand, may center on the celebrant's favorite baby animal.

If you want many animals involved, then you may choose a jungle party theme. Stuffed monkey, elephant or giraffe are fascinating examples of these and can be used as decorations around the room. You can also find paper plate, napkins and souvenir bags with jungle animal themes at your local party supply store.

Some kids love to have lion parties. The King of the Jungle party theme can be fun especially if kids want to dress up as lions. Inexpensive face paint can be a great solution and you can pair it up with cute tails. Cat or kitten party themes have similar activities like putting whiskers on the children's faces. Costumes can also be fun for kids to wear. They will love their appearances and will enjoy the fabulous pictures that they will get during the party.

A pony themed party is another theme worth considering. Both little boys and girls adore horses. Another idea is to let them visit stables and ride a pony. This will create a unique and memorable experience for the child.

If your child wants underwater animals, then transform the venue into a sea of adorable water animals like dolphins, goldfish, lobsters, starfish and many more. Dolphin parties are also a great idea since the friendly nature of this animal always leaves a soft spot in children's hearts. Decorations can also be found easily as this is a popular theme for baby and kid parties. Place sea nets with corals and shells around the party area with inflatable sea creatures spread all around. Since children generally love swimming, this particular setting will surely thrill them.

Panda theme parties are also fun to do. The huggable looks of these animals are going to be loved by guests of all ages. One can even hire panda mascots during the party and you will never run out of kids giggling and squealing in fun. Other unique animals like koala bears, hamsters, cubs, tigers, elephants, and hippos will make for a unique party experience.

There are many animal themes that you can choose from and ultimately the choice is up to you and your child. So whether you are celebrating a child's birthday or throwing a baby shower, consider using an animal theme for your next party.

How should expectant mothers view weight gain during pregnancy? Healthy weight gain during pregnancy is very much expected and should never cause any concern. Usually, a baby in the womb weighs around 15 to 35 pounds and this is dependent on the weight of the mother. An average of one pound is added every month during the course of the pregnancy and this is reason enough why weight gain is a must. Some essential facts should also make us aware that excessive weight gain during pregnancy can also be risky. Here are some pregnancy weight gain facts which will shed more light on the matter.

There is a good reason why mothers need to provide a healthy environment for their baby. The unborn baby is still dependent on their mother for nutrition. The development of the baby in the womb is also an important indicator usually manifested in weight gain.

What causes the weight gain during pregnancy? The baby weighs more or less 8 pounds. Placenta, uterus and amniotic fluid also weigh 2 pounds each. Maternal tissues and blood also add up to 8 to ten pounds. The body also needs to store nutrients for the baby and this is another 8 pounds of weight gain in order to feed the baby all the necessary food for the baby's growth. If you sum up all of these, there's about 20 to 35 pounds added to the mom's weight. So how should someone know if she has healthy weight gain?

The body's weight is best explained through the body mass index. It measures up the weight relative to the height. If a mother is underweight, she should at least gain 28 to 40 pounds during pregnancy. For overweight moms, they should around be around from 15 to 25 pounds. These ideal calculations are of course not applicable to mothers having multiple births or having a large baby.

Moms usually have a hard time gaining weight during the first trimester. This must be because of some issues like morning sickness and other factors. The baby during this time only needs few calories so there's no need to be overly concern about it.

Moms are always recommended to eat healthy kinds of food so she can provide the needed nutrients to the baby. Gaining weight does not mean taking in foods that are completely junk. Doctors and nutritionists can recommend healthy diets and food choices for mothers.

The extra weight during the pregnancy is easily shed off after giving birth, especially when starting to breastfeed the baby. It is a fact that mothers burn more than 1000 calories during breastfeeding so she can easily go back to her original weight. Exercise is also the best way to get back into shape.

With all of these facts in mind, most moms should not have to worry about weight gain during pregnancy. The mere knowledge that her body can hold a precious life and takes good care of him or her for the next nine months is truly a miracle.

Who can resist the charm of cute babies in this world? Why are they so utterly cute anyway? Perhaps these questions have run through your mind while looking at baby pictures or simply cradling your very own. Babies seem to have that power to put a smile on our faces or tug at our hearts whenever they need loving comfort. A baby can sometimes even soften the heart of a grouchy person.

First, let's look at the scientific explanations. Genetics has something to do with the way humans respond to little creatures like babies. The way we see our babies might be because we see a bit of ourselves in their tiny features. These traits are being passed on. This is not only true among females but also with males. Grandfathers, uncles and brothers will also see these family inherited features in the newborn baby. Like the female, these males have also preferences on cuteness trait and it keeps getting stronger with each generation. Scientists also associate cuteness with good genes. Ultimately, humans are biologically designed to see babies as cute and care for them.

When one looks up in the dictionary for the word 'cute', it's always synonymous to beautiful, small and attractive. These words are definitely true just by merely looking at the shining eyes and button noses of a baby. By holding their tiny fingers and washing their small feet, people are amazed at how delicate they are. Most of us love the feel of the babies' soft skin and their innocent gaze. Nature must have intended babies to be so cute in order for humans to love taking care of them.

Even many reluctant moms will always find it in their heart to love their newborns once they see how small and alive they are. Most of us would call babies a tiny miracle because seeing them simply move us. They are signs of hope and their lives become gifts to the family. The cuteness of the baby even draws family members close together and this will certainly strengthen the bond.

Another reason people love babies is because they are innocent. Unlike adults, babies are new to the world and are incapable of malicious acts. They are generally happy creatures with the whole lives ahead of them. Babies will smile at strangers and for no reason at all. They will make funny noises and they will make extended eye contact.

Babies are tiny and people often associate cute with smaller things. Their laughter and smiles are contagious. Because a baby is less aware of the world around, sometimes it will just smile for no reason at all. The power of a simple smile can be uplifting to adults around the baby.

How many times have you seen people smile when they saw a baby? The usual comment will be, "How cute!" Especially among women, maternal instincts make females particularly fond of babies and toddlers. No matter how everyone sees a baby, the truth remains they are very much adored. They are our sources of complete joy and happiness. Seeing them brightens up our days and lightens up our future.

When you plan to have guests at home and need to some food to prepare, you might want to consider preparing unique chip dip recipes for appetizers. These recipes are not only very welcoming among guests but they are easy to prepare. Hosts will even make these themselves when they try to budget the food money. What's amazing about chip dips is the variety of recipes that you can try.

Popular onion dips are still being served because it's so easy to prepare. The basic ingredients include dried onion, cream base, garlic powder, fresh green onions, salt and pepper to taste. The cream base can be yogurt, softened cream cheese, or sour cream. All one has to do is to make a cream out of these ingredients and refrigerate them for an hour. The classic onion dip tastes so wonderful and is easy enough to make that it should be a top choice for party dip recipes.

If you have guests who are vegetarian, then go for another unique chip dip recipe. The No-Cheese Dip might be a good thing to serve. The ingredients include fresh cashews, red bell pepper, lemon juice, garlic, sea salt and water. All of these must be soaked first before blending them high. The mixture is expected to be thick and use a spatula in coaxing them to fully blend. Just add water while you blend it. This particular dip tastes like cheese but actually does not have any cheese at all.

Make a unique, classic salsa for tortilla chips. Large tomatoes and medium onions along with habanera pepper, cilantro salt and lime juice make a tasty salsa. Slice the habanera pepper and be careful not to touch the flesh. Place everything in the blender. Blend it until it reaches its desired thickness. Leaving it at room temperature or refrigerate if you are not eating it right away. Salsa dip goes well with tortilla chips.

If you want another great chip dip idea, then go for the black bean dip. Just prepare cooked blacked beans, chopped tomatoes, dried oregano, cumin, garlic powder, and lemon juice. You have the option of mashing the beans or simply mix them in the blender. When the beans are blended, you can then add the other ingredients. This dip is good for corn chips and vegetables.

If you want your guests to be awed by a healthy and tasty dip, how about go for the Colby-Pepper Jack Cheese Dip. You should be prepared with softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, chopped chipotle pepper, chili powder, chopped and cooked chicken, Colby-jack cheese, green chili, onions, jalapeno peppers, and chopped fresh cilantro. Stir these ingredients in a bowl and mix until they become smooth. Add the chicken. Afterwards, place the mixture in the baking dish and put it in the oven at 350. Serve with chips and delight you guests.

To enhance the flavor of your dips, you can also try adding a squeeze of lemon. Try it with a small sample first as lemon often brings out a different flavor. Salt and pepper are also commonly added to make the dip taste better. Chip dips can be used at home and are popular for events like birthday parties and baby showers.

You're having a party and you want everyone to interact. What's better than pulling out a board game so everyone can have fun together? Sure, you could stick to traditional favorites like Yahtzee, Monopoly, or Sorry, but why not mix things up with some modern board games made especially for party crowds. These games not only enhance socialization, but they're entertaining, fun, and can have your guests laughing long after the party is over.

Here are some board games that are great for playing at parties.

    Scene It

This is actually a series of games on DVDs that you plan on your television that offers visual and challenging trivia questions for your guests to answer on television shows, movies, sports, music, and other pop-culture related issues. Fun for all ages.

    Apples to Apples

This popular card-based—Mensa approved—game is best for four to ten players and can last up to an hour. It is all about word matches and comparisons. The board game comes in many varieties from Kids edition, to Disney edition, to Bible and Spanish editions. Watch out, though, because Apples to Apples can pit grandmother against grandchild, husband against wife and even best friends against neighbors.

    Pictionary

This game has been around since the mid 80s and is perfect party pleaser. Much like Charades, Pictionary is based on a secret clue that each team has to guess. However, this game is all about drawing out the clue, which can make for some unabashed hilarity.

    Family Feud

This board game is based on the long-running television game show that pits families against each others for the top answers to a question. Divide your guests into competing teams for this family fun.

    Trivial Pursuit

This game always proves to be a crowd pleaser. Available in several versions, pick the one most appropriate to your audiences, whether it includes the kids or is for adults-only. This is perfect for guests to show off their "useless" knowledge of pop culture and other categories.

    Balderdash

This board game is all about trivial knowledge and the ability to bluff your way out of a situation. Guests guess the definition of obscure words and then try to get points for either knowing the right answer, or convincing others that their incorrect answer is the best.

Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?

Just like the television show, this board games gives you the chance to prove if you are or aren't indeed able to answer fifth grade level trivia questions. Play this one with your younger guests or simply make it all-adult to see who's the smartest in the bunch

    Dirty Minds

For your all-adult crowd, this game is a revealing look at what people will or won't tell. Questions are asked and you're asked for the answer. The dirtier your mind, the funnier the game will be as this board game is billed to be "the cleanest dirty game."

    Twister

If you're looking for an ice breaker, there's nothing better than the classic game of Twister to get people out of their seats and meeting each other. This game guarantees laughter and even a little exercise and is appropriate for all ages.

You've put all of the money for your party budget into the food and beverages. There's still the entertainment to think about. You don't have to spend a fortune to keep your guests happy and enjoying themselves. And you don't have to.

Here are some ideas for party games on a budget.

    Charades

It's a traditional favorite, but charades never fails to entertain. Young and old alike can participate in this classic guessing game. Guests play the game by acting out or miming the secret clue to their team for them to guess what it is. Either way, plan ahead by writing down a variety of clues and having them available in a bowl or a box for guests to choose randomly. Clues can be from: movies, televisions shows, songs, quotes, sayings, food, sports, poem, animal, location, event, etc. Just make sure everyone knows your house rules before the game gets started.

    Twister

Twister is another fun party game where people will get to interact with others. You can play this with kids or make it an all-adult game. It's a great way to get singles out of the corner and participating. The game is played on a mat that you place on the floor. You can make one with a plain white sheet and colored magic markets. There are four rows of colored circles in yellow, red, blue, and green. A spinner comes with the game to give you action and direction for your left and right foot, as well as your left and right hand. It also has the four colors on it. A player spins and acts out what is directed by the spinner, for example: "left foot blue." The more people on the board, the funnier and crazier the results. There's no limit to how many people can play. You're the host…you make the rules.

    Win, Lose, or Draw

This game is very much like a mix of Charades and Pictionary, only it's a do-it-yourself home version. A secret clue is given to each team for them to guess. Just have an easel, an oversized pad of paper (from local office supply store), and several magic markers. However, this game is all about drawing out the clue, which can make for some raw hilarity. Have an egg time handy so that each team has the same fair amount of time to guess their clues. Topics should come from the following categories: people/places/animals, object, action, difficult words. You can write these out ahead of time and keep them in separate bowls for your teams to choose from. Set a limit to how long you'll play the game and the team with the most correct answers win.

    Balderdash

If you're good at bluffing and using your imagination, then this is the game for you. You can also construct a homemade version, as well, which is explained here. Before your guests arrive, use your dictionary to formulate uncommon or hard to spell words. Have the correct definition written out for each one. To play, all players roll a die and the highest roll gets to be the "dasher." The dasher chooses a word and reads it out loud to everyone. Players write down what they believe the definition is of the word. This is your chance to get creative if you don't know what the word means. Everyone passes their definition to the dasher who then reads all of the definitions, including the real one. Players vote on what they think is the real meaning. Anyone who submits the correct answer gets three points. If a player guesses the correct definition, it's two points. Players get one point for each player who chooses the wrong definition that they wrote. The dasher gets three points if no one gets the correct answer at all. Think of the side-splitting laughs you'll get from this fun game.

The first six months or so of your new baby's life will be sustained and fortified with milk or formula. However, soon after that, your baby is ready to move on to more solid foods, which can be a challenge to any parent. You'll need to check with your pediatrician about any allergy risks, but now you're ready to move on and introduce solids into your baby's diet.

Here are some suggestions on how to prepare starter food for babies.

    Doctor's Orders

Don't start your baby on any new food regimen without first talking to your pediatrician. Let him or her know what's going on with your baby and your plans for introducing solid foods into the diet. As your doctor will tell you, you will be charting the course of good eating habits for your child's life by what you start them on. Discuss food and preparation options with your doctor before taking that next step with your baby.

    Cleanliness

Whenever preparing anything for your baby, make sure your hands have been cleaned with hot water and a disinfecting soap. All utensils, plates, and dishes should also be clean. If you're preparing the baby food yourself, make sure the fruits and vegetables have been washed properly. Even though you may purchase fresh produce from the grocery store, it still may contain trace elements of pesticides and other chemicals used in the growing process. It's just smart to clean things when you get home.

    Allergy Awareness

When introducing new elements into your baby's diet, you want to be careful not to set off any allergies that you may or may not be aware of. General rule of thumb from pediatricians is to test a new food for your baby for four straight days and take a "wait and see" attitude. Monitor your baby's reaction to the new item and discontinue if you recognize any signs of an allergy like rash, difficulty breathing, itching, diarrhea, vomiting, etc. Only introduce one new food at a time into your baby's diet so you can monitor this properly.

    Baby Food in a Jar

Many name brand producers have been making start baby food for decades. They offer balanced nutrition, low sodium, and a variety of flavors to test your baby's palate. These are easy to find in grocery stores and larger retail merchants like Target or Wal-Mart. Follow the directions on each individual jar to ensure temperature is correct. Feed your baby with a rubber covered spoon so they won't injure their mouth. Keep a pad with notes on how your child reacts to each new taste for future use.

    A Bounty of New Tastes

For baby's first foods, avoid manufactured cereals and instead take advantage of nature's bounty. Foods such as bananas, apples, pears, avocados, carrots, and sweet potatoes are excellent starter foods. Bananas and avocados are easily peeled and mashed into an easy paste for baby's enjoyment. Pears, apples, carrots, and sweet potatoes will need to be baked or boiled first. Peel the item and then cut into smaller chunks for easy cooking and then pureed in a food processor for the best consistency. Again, introduce only one new food to your baby at a time to monitor for allergies and/taste preferences.

    Rice Cereal and Pastina

Rice cereal is a perfect first food to start a baby with. Rice cereal is easy to prepare and very nutritious. You can add mashed bananas to it for flavor and variety. Also, pastina (very tiny pasta) can be combined with any of your pureed vegetables for a healthy meal.

Just remember as you're introducing new foods to your baby, they won't like everything. No two babies are alike and foods will have different tastes and textures to them. Be patient and experiment with your little one. You're starting life-long eating habits with the foods you serve. So think healthy and natural.

Every new day with your baby is a learning process. There are so many nuances of this complex new person in our life. As a parent, it's your duty to introduce good, healthy habits in your baby's first year that will last a lifetime. One of those challenges is knowing what foods are best for babies. When your baby reaches six months, it's time to start introducing solid food into his/her diet. Arm yourself with the knowledge of food champions that will help aid your baby's nutritional growth.

Here are a few suggestions as to what foods are best for babies.

    Apples

The saying, "an apple a day keeps the doctor away," is quite accurate. Apples contain no fat, nor do they have sodium or cholesterol. The potassium in an apple is thought to help maintain heart health, blood pressure, and weight. It's an essential food to eat at all stages of life. Babies can enjoy apples in the form of natural applesauce. They're sweet, tasty, and filling, and provide multiple health benefits for a newborn.

    Banana

Another low sodium, low saturated fat, and cholesterol food is the banana. It contains vitamins A, B6, B12, C, E, and K, and many other nutrients important to a healthy body. Babies love bananas because they're so easy to chew and they add flavor to something bland, yet healthy, like rice cereal. Bananas also provide a good source of potassium and protein.

    Sweet Potato

Yams or sweet potatoes are extremely beneficial to your baby's growth. They are rich in vitamins A and C, and like apples and bananas, provide calcium, potassium, and sodium, as well as magnesium and phosphorous. They can be roasted, steamed, or baked and mashed or pureed into a tasty meal for your baby. As your baby grows, add chicken or turkey to the mix for extra protein.

    Broccoli

This floret vegetable is rich in flavor, as well as crunch, and is an excellent vegetable to introduce early into your baby's life. Broccoli contains fiber and calcium and can be served to your baby in a puree form or simply in small, steamed bites. Some pediatricians recommend chilled steamed broccoli for babies who are teething. In any event, it's a versatile vegetable your baby can start with early in life for vitamins and good health.

    Spinach

Rich in iron, this leafy vegetable has frightened many generations of kids. However, that doesn't have to be the case with your baby. Starting your child out with spinach at an early age guarantees them the vitamins and nutrition this formable food offers. Steam spinach and puree it to get your baby used to it. Then, add the puree to rice cereal or pastina as your baby's taste for it grows.

    Avocado

Avocados aren't just for guacamole. Your baby can benefit from the unsaturated fats in this fruit (it's not a vegetable, technically) that can aid in healthy development. Some nutritionists claim that the fat in an avocado is the closest in similarity to a mother's breast milk. There's no need to cook this fruit that's packed with vitamins A, C, niacin, and folate. Simply peel and pit the avocado and mash the "meat" with a fork. It's also another good source of potassium, iron, calcium, and magnesium.

Whenever you're hosting a party, it's all about presenting delicious party food that is both simple and elegant. You also don't want your guests to be laden down with heavy, complicated dishes that require a balancing act whether they're sitting or standing. Instead, offer them a selection of varied foods that will both satisfy their hunger and free them up for mingling and conversations. And, you won't be stuck in the kitchen by making these ahead of time and enjoying the party yourself.

Here are some ideas for what food to serve at a party.

    Twisted Egg Salad Cups

    1 dozen eggs

    1 cup (maybe less) mayonnaise

    2 tbsp. spicy brown mustard

    Salt and pepper to taste

    Fresh dill sprigs

Wheat bread with crusts trimmed off and cut into four squares

2 tbsp. butter, margarine, or butter-flavored cooking spray

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put eggs in two inches of cold water and 1 tbsp. white vinegar until they boil. Simmer on low for 2 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and let them sit for 15 minutes. Drain hot water, replace with ice cold water and let them sit another 15 minutes. Peel under a stream of running cold water. Grease a mini muffin tin with butter or butter-flavored spray. Take bread pieces and mold around bottom and side of the muffin pan. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

In a large bowl, mash hard boiled eggs with the tongs of a fork until the pieces are small and fluffy. Add mayonnaise a fourth of a cup at a time, watching that the mixture doesn't become too soupy. Add mustard and stir well. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. Fill small baked bread cups with a heaping portion of the egg salad and top with a colorful sprig of dill. Your guests will scarf these up by the handful!

    Personal Antipastos

Make a platter of individual antipastos. Purchase a variety of black and green olives, fresh mozzarella cheese balls, fresh basil, feta cubes, grape tomatoes, kalamata olives, Genoa salami, hard salami, and other spiced meats from your grocery store. Using wooden skewers, place meats, cheeses, and vegetables alternately for a hand-held antipasto. Lay out on a platter for guests to serve themselves.

    Smoked Salmon Canapés

Lightly bake a store bought Boboli crust and let it cool. Mix together softened cream cheese, lemon juice, chopped chives, and fresh lemon zest. Add a dash of salt and pepper to taste. Spread mixture over the crust. Arrange smoked salmon over the cream cheese blend. Sprinkle with chopped hard boiled eggs, capers, fresh ground pepper, and more lemon zest. Cut into strips or pizza-like wedges and serve.

    Cucumber Sandwiches

1 pound of seedless English cucumbers

1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened

One and a half tsp. mayonnaise

    Salt and pepper to taste

Various breads (white, wheat, rye, pumpernickel) with crusts cut off and sliced into finger-sized servings

Peel dark skin off the cucumbers with a vegetable peeler. Cut cucumber in half long ways. Peel, seed (okay, so they're not totally seedless) and shred one half of the cucumber. Cut the other half and set aside. Mix together the cream cheese, mayonnaise and salt. Add in the shredded cucumber and stir it all well. Take two pieces of bread (you can mix and match…whatever you want) and spread about a tablespoon of the mixture onto the bread. Top with cucumber slices before adding the top. Makes about 48 finger sandwiches for everyone to enjoy.

    Mini Quiches

Mini quiches are available in most major grocery stores and in warehouse clubs, as well. Simply buy some mini quiches in various flavors such as cheese and spinach, ham, bacon and cheese, and bake them ahead of time. Serve them on a nice silver tray with doilies to spruce it up. Add some simple flowers to make it look like you spent all day in the kitchen.

    Chafing Dish Meatballs and Wieners

    2 lbs. ground beef

    1 slightly beaten egg

    1 tbsp. onion powder

    1 tsp. salt

1 package of Lil Smokey wieners

    1 bottle chili sauce

    Juice of 1 lemon

    1 c. grape jelly

Combine first 4 ingredients. Mix and shape into balls about 1 inch in diameter. Drop into mixture made of the chili sauce, lemon juice and jelly. Simmer 20-30 minutes. (Be sure to keep it VERY low heat.) Serve these with toothpicks.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

It seems today that kids are in a rut with eating the same things over and over again. Growing kids can't live on French fries, pizza, and hot dogs alone. The key to pleasing any kids' palate is to make the meal fun for them and not to let them know when they're eating right.

Here are five healthy foods for your kids.

    Nuts and Seeds

For in between meal snacks, feed your kids a handful of nuts. Not only are they rich in several important vitamins, but nuts provide vast amounts of proteins and amino acids. The variety of legume nuts and tree nuts offers variety to any snack with almonds, pecans, peanuts, walnuts, macadamia nuts, cashews, and others. Sunflower and pumpkin seeds are a good source of unsaturated fatty acids which are essential in kids' growth.

    Fruits

Instead of treating kids to a piece of candy, cookies, or cake, assuage their sweet tooth with nature's own sweet things. Kids will eat what you have available, so keep a bowl of fresh fruit in their reach or in the refrigerator. Apples, oranges, bananas, strawberries, watermelon are easy "finger-type" foods that will satisfy their craving. Also, fruits are high in potassium, vitamin C, and calcium which aids in their development.

    Spaghetti

Kids love pasta and there's nothing that will satisfy their hunger more than a plate of spaghetti. However, you can feed them a nutritious meal without them even knowing. Star with wheat or spinach pasta and use more natural sauces. Avoid the over-sugary stuff in the stores. Also, you can "sneak" vegetables into your kids' spaghetti by finely chopping onions, mushrooms, olives, and/or peppers. Add large chunks of lean ground beef and your kids will be asking for seconds.

    Chicken Fingers

Most every restaurant kid's menu will offer chicken fingers and fries. What kid wouldn't love this? At home, you can serve them the same full-flavor without the added fat. By baking breaded chicken, you greatly reduce the fat content of frying. You can also make your own chicken fingers by rolling raw chicken tenders from the store in plain yogurt and then covering in crushed corn flakes or panko bread crumbs. Coat with a cooking spray and bake for the same yummy taste as the fried version. Kick things up with a low fat ranch dressing or barbeque sauce for dipping and your kids won't miss the grease at all.

    Fun Vegetables

It's almost an oxymoron, but vegetables can be made fun for kids. Instead of forcing the food on them as something they have to have, make it interesting. Teach them the origin of certain foods. Have them help plate what's for dinner, matching foods by color. Serve smoothies that incorporate both fruits and vegetables in a less "threatening" way to their taste buds. Add vegetables to more traditional foods like carrot or zucchini muffins, or as said before, into spaghetti sauce. Another idea is to start a vegetable garden and get your kids involved. The more they work with and learn about vegetables, the less "scary" they'll be on their plate. Introduce vegetables to them through a chopped platter of small bites of carrot, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, and mushrooms, with healthy dip to accompany. And finally, reward your kids for trying new things. Remember, their palates aren't as developed as an adult's so make food nutrition fun and it will go a long way to your kids' health.

Mothers all over know that toddlers are into new things. They're curious and adventurous, which translates to the foods and snacks they're eating. No longer are they sitting passively while being fed. They're more involved in the process and want to use their hands to make new discoveries. Give them treats that not only bring a smile to their face, but will provide nutritional value and add to developing healthy eating habits that will last a life time.

Here are some fun foods that toddlers love to eat.

    - Cereal is always an obvious option for toddlers. Especially Cheerios. They're made of whole grain and are easy for a toddler to pick up, hold, and eat. Cereals can be put in small cups or containers and carried around by your child. Avoid overly sugary cereals that provide less nutritional value.

    - Scrambled eggs provide an excellent source of protein and are delicious for your kids to eat. They're easy on the mouth and can be eaten by hand once they cool off a little. Just watch the temperature before serving.

    - Miniature vanilla wafer can accompany yogurt or peanut butter (watch food allergies) and, while sweet, aren't overly sugary.

    - Cut up bananas into pieces that your tot can use their fingers to pick up and eat. By cutting the banana into smaller pieces, it cuts down on possibly choking. The fruit is soft and easy to chew.

    - Sandwiches made with cookie cutters make eating more fun and interesting when the look and shape is different. Visit a discount or kitchen store for cookie cutters of all shapes like hearts, dinosaurs, animals, etc.

    - Use the cookie cutters on cheese slices, as well. Assemble a kiddie cheese and fruit tray with apple and banana slices and cheese either cut in small chunks or in animal shapes. This is sure to be a big hit at any house.

    - Sweet potatoes are filled with vitamins and every so good for your tot. Make them some "healthy fries" by peeling a sweet potato and cutting into small matchsticks. Spray with cooking spray and bake in the oven until soft and golden brown. Delicious!

    - Cut up broccoli florets and call them "trees." Serve with Ranch dressing.

    - Cut up pineapple and serve with yogurt for dipping.

    - Remove skin from a cooked hot dog and cut into small slices for ease of eating. Or serve Vienna sausages from the can in the same manner.

    - Popcorn—without all the salt and butter—makes for a healthy and fun snack. Serve in a bowl or paper bag to mix things up.

    - Jell-O is a great snack in many fruity flavors. Purchase the pre-made small cups in the store or make a large tray yourself and use the aforementioned cookie cutters for fun shapes or animals.

    - Goldfish crackers are perfect. They're already in an animal form and shape and they're crunchy and yummy. They can be carried around in a small container for little fingers to delve into.

    - Grapes offer nutrition, flavor, and fun. Serve a variety of green and red seedless grapes and watch little hands go to work. Or, cut the grapes in half to make them last longer.

    - Applesauce is a winner at all ages. It's soft, cool, and sweet. Smaller packages found in stores are easy to carry around for emergency snacking purposes.

    - Freeze your toddler's favorite juice for a exciting frozen treat. You can also add small chunks of fruit to the juice as it's freezing for more variety.

Not only are these great foods for toddler and kid meals day to day, but they are great party foods for birthdays or baby showers.

Expectant women with a smaller bust are able to wear many different types of tops, as extra bust support is not a necessity for them. If one has a smaller bust and are looking for the perfect maternity swimwear option, there are a variety of options available. From emphasizing the bust with a bit of ruching to showing off some skin in great bikini, there are several maternity swimwear designs that are perfect for a smaller bust.

Maternity bikinis are a great option for moms-to-be with a smaller bust. A bikini shows off one's figure as well as drawing the eye upwards. The Bow Top Bikini from Prego Maternity is a fabulous, figure-flattering option. This bikini, in classic black, has a halter-tie top with an oval cinched design at the bust. The oval ring and tie at the center of the bust add an eye-catching detail, and the adjustable halter tie ensures that it can be made to fit one's body exactly. The stretchy material hugs one body, and the design is so stylish that it can be worn after pregnancy as well. The Maternity Dot Bikini, also from Prego Maternity, is a good choice for a smaller bust. The halter style with the scoop-neck frames the face beautifully, and the white polka-dots are a feminine touch. Stretchy bottoms sit below the belly and mold to one's body perfectly. Cute and comfortable, this bikini is a great option.

Aside from bikinis, maternity swimwear with ruching at the bust is a nice choice for the smaller busted mom-to-be. Ruching creates a beautiful shape and adds a bit of extra detail. The Prego Maternity V-Kini, in a sexy black, is the perfect choice. This tankini has a halter tie and a narrow V-neck that culminates with ruching at the center of the bust. Light padding creates a smooth shape, and the tankini top gently skims one's baby bump. Another tankini with flattering ruching is the Jenni Tankini from Maternal America. It has a lively and vibrant print, in hues of orange, blue, and pink. A halter strap ties around the neck and a metal ring with ruching at the center of the bust adds great detail. Bottoms with side-ties are adjustable so they can be fit exactly to one's growing baby bump. Both these tankinis feature a V-neck that enhances one's bust and creates a lovely silhouette.

Bikini Thief is a very popular swimwear designer, who has a stylish and figure flattering maternity swimwear line. Their maternity tankinis are sexy, fashionable, and very comfortable. For a smaller busted woman, the Pink Pisces Dream Tankini is a must. This tankini features a wavy pink and blue design on the top and pink striped bottoms. A built in, fully lined bra creates a lovely shape and provides support. There is a bit of striped detailing at the center of the bust and think striped straps match the bikini bottoms. The bottoms also feature an extra support band that adds more comfort for one's baby bump. Bikini Thief truly knows how to combine comfort and style.

Overall, smaller busted women are able to wear a plethora of maternity swimwear options. If one is looking to enhance one's bust a bit, a V-neck is a good choice. Ruching at the bust also creates the illusion of a larger bust. One can look for a swimsuit with a bit more padding in the bust, as well as one with an empire waist that will really accentuate that area. It is a good idea to also find a maternity swimsuit that has adjustable straps, so that it can be fitted perfectly to one's shape. There are many options to choose from, so one is sure to find the right one for one's figure.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

There are a lot of articles and guides outlining the best ways to earn money online. However, some of them can be confusing. Here are the 3Ws of earning online, a simple and easy-to-remember guide on how a regular Joe can be an online earning Joe in no time.

    Website Development

Yes, the first of the 3Ws of earning onlineis about websites. This is only fitting since the guide is about earning on the web. Anyway, website development simply means that a person creates a webpage for companies, independent business owners or any person who wants an online page. For large companies, most website developers use codes and programming languages such as HTML and BB Code to create the websites. The process of creating a website out of codes and languages is known as hard coding.

Hardcoded websites usually have a lot of functions and trick. Programmers who perform a lot of hard coding can earn a lot of money. However, not all netizens know how to perform hard coding; hence blogs and other website platforms were born. Blogs are cheap (and sometimes free) avenues that allow regular people to come up with their own webpages and publish their contents.

The good news is, some small companies pay for regular people to create blogs or simple webpages for them. Now the pay may not be as huge as hard coded websites, but making simple websites is a fast and easy way to make money on the web.

    Webhosting

The second of the 3Ws of earning onlineis webhosting. This is for people who have a little money to invest. To understand webhosting, it's good to picture a movie house. There are two parts to a movie, first is the screen which every person can see. The other part is the film reel which is hidden behind a wall at the back of the theater.

Now the movie is basically similar to the webpage. This is what all the people in the world can see. The film reel is the content of that webpage. People cannot see the content all at once. They'd have to click on a tab or link to generate a webpage that displays the rest of the content.

The room which contains the film reel is the webhosting company. Basically, webhosting is the storage unit of sorts for the webpages. Usually, webhosting is extremely expensive. But for anyone who has the money, he can just buy a webhosting account and split that into smaller and cheaper webhosting packages for those little website developers who can't afford to buy their own webhosting account. It's sort of like buying a floor in a building and renting out the rooms.

    Writing

The last of the 3Ws is writing. There are 4 basic contents on the internet namely pictures, videos, sound and of course, words. Everyone uses words. The question is on how to earn with them.

To earn online using words, the goal is to string them into cohesive pieces of works called web content. A lot of people pay good money for the best web content available. Writers can make money by making articles about websites, new technologies, the latest video games and more.

Writers are among the most important members of the internet community and they are the best earners as well.

There is money in the internet, and anyone who says otherwise probably hasn't tried it yet. There are actually 3 types of people who have the ability to earn online. Here's a guide on how average netizens can turn their surfing hours into earning opportunities.

    The Blogger

Bloggers are some of the most successful people who make money on the internet. Initially, blogs were made to be online diaries or journals for people to vent out and share their thoughts at the end of every day. However, more and more people started uploading really good works of art, poetry, music and videos. As the blogs got more hits, so did the earning opportunities.

There are basically 2 ways to earn using blogs. First is to place advertisements in the blogs. Most popular social or video media websites have tiny ads on the side, bottom or top of their websites or videos. The same can be done for blogs. Both large and small companies offer to pay for advertising space on blogs. However, most of them require that the blogs are constantly updated with unique content and that the contents are related to the products they sell.

Another way to make money by maintaining a blog is to do so for a company. Some company giants maintain their own blogs, but hire independent bloggers to provide the content for them. For instance, a toothpaste company can provide samples of their latest product to a blogger. The blogger tries the product for a certain period and makes a blog post about it. The toothpaste company can pay for the web content which will then be placed on the company's blog.

    The Writer

Similar to the blogger, the writer is one of the most effective people who make money on the internet. The writer is one the most versatile earners in the internet world. For instance, one of the ways which a writer can earn is through advertising. A lot of companies need new and witty ways to advertise their products and writers are responsible for coming up with their scripts or catch phrases.

Writers are also the people behind reviews of anything and everything that need reviewing. This could include books, movies, machines, tools, websites and even people. This is a cool part of the writing job because some companies send freebies of their stuff for reviewing.

Writers can also earn though the creation of e-books, transcription and even through tutorials.

    The Website Maker

Today's generation is so hooked with the internet that companies are now looking for ways to dominate the online market. To do so, they need to make the best and most unique websites on the planet. The website maker takes advantage of this to make money on the internet.

Most people think that creating webpages requires a lot of knowledge in programming and coding. However, a lot of companies now prefer simple website platforms such as those similar to blogs. This is especially true for small companies that are still starting up and have no funds to pay for highly technical and complicated websites.

Anyone who wants to earn online can make money by being the blogger, the writer or the website maker. All that is needed is a bit of initiative and a lot of hard work.

Need a quick way to earn money? Why not sell stuff online? There is actually tons of old stuff lying around the house that can be sold online for an easy buck. Here's a list of things that can be sold to make money online.

    Old Clothes

Old clothes are among the most popular items sold over the internet. Old clothes can be anywhere from shirts that the kids outgrew to dresses that are out of style. There is also a great demand for designer items. Most people who can't afford to buy new designer clothes are always looking for the best bargains online.

    Bags

Once they've bought the designer clothes, people need to find cheap bags to go with them. Handbags are among the fastest-selling items on the web today. That's why surplus selling websites offer up a lot of cash for old handbags. They even pay larger amounts for handbags that come with their original boxes and receipts.

    Perfumes

There are times when people receive perfumes that are not their style. Although selling a gift is a battle between need and sentimental value, selling an unwanted bottle of perfume online can generate a lot of money. This is especially true if the perfume is a popular brand or a classic. One catch though, the perfume has to be unopened for the bottle to be worth anything. No one wants a half-empty bottle of perfume unless the seller was a famous actor or something.

    Old CDs

Face it, most of the music created today can be bought online and are stored in computers or music players. So why hang on to old CD's? A lot of people make money online through old CDs and DVDs especially if they were in a collection and in pristine condition.

The same can be said for old game CDs. Some gamers have a case of nostalgia and miss playing their old games. That's when they look for cheap second hand game CDs online.

    Jewelry

Selling jewelry online can help both men and women make money. Gold jewelry is especially hot in the internet because it never loses its value.

Homemade pieces of jewelry are also best sellers in the market. People can make jewelry out of anything including old soda cans, broken glass and crushed shells. How much they're worth all depends on how unique the pieces are and how well they're made. The same can be said for homemade key chains, phone decorations and brooches.

    Books

Although there's a huge market now for e-books, there are still a lot of people who prefer holding the actual books in their hands to read them. Books are excellent sellers online, especially for old editions. A really old book in pristine condition can even sell for thousands of dollars.

Old textbooks are excellent items to sell as well. A lot of students prefer to save by buying older editions of textbooks rather than buying the new copies, especially since most new versions have very little or no updates to the content anyway.

    Electronics

Not all people can afford to buy the latest gadgets and so they always look for the best deals they can find. The good thing about selling gadgets is that it doesn't have to be new or unused. Most people will buy gadgets so long as they're working. Plus, whatever type or brand it is, selling gadgets and electronics is a guaranteed way to make money online.
