    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

In this article we will look at how to get started in the fastest growing water sport around: Stand up Paddle Boarding. A paddle board looks just like a big surf board but it has developed differently over time. A Stand up Paddle board is lighter and often made of different material than a standard surf board. When you are ready to get started Paddle Boarding you will need to find your Local Paddle Board Equipment rental shop. The type of board that you will need is dependant on your height and weight. So, you would not want to buy equipment right off the bat because you could get the wrong fit. After you have tried out what the experts at the Paddle Board Equipment store recommend, then you can start to customize. For instance, if you are having trouble maintaining your balance on the standard model for your size, then you may want to get a longer board than is customary.

Take your board and paddle out to the nearest lake to start with. The nice thing about paddle boards is that you do not need rushing water to have fun. So, in the beginning it is easier to learn the movements on a stationary body of water. At first you will fall in repeatedly, don't feel bad, it's half the fun. You will eventually get your balance but stay near the shore at first. In the beginning many people will not even bring a paddle with them. Instead of standing they will lay on the board like a surfer would when waiting on a wave. Then you can essentially dog paddle the board around to get a feel for it and its specific quirks.

When you are ready to stand up on your board go into waist deep water. Lay the paddle horizontally across the board and pull your self up onto it from the rear, like a cowboy would mount his horse in an old western. Once you are straddling the board, slowly maneuver yourself until you are on your knees slightly back from the center of the board. Once you have your balance, grab your paddle and pop to your feet. Then place your feet exactly where your knees were except shoulder length apart. This will take practice so make sure that you do not hit the board when you keep falling off. Now, keep your eyes on the horizon and paddle around at a leisurely pace. It is a great way to see the sights and get a little exercise along the way.

To learn more about the sport, check out local paddle boarding events. In most coastal communities there will be several annual races. Attending these races will allow you to watch advance paddlers. Watch their techniques and how thy stroke the water. This will allow one to increase their understanding of the sport. Try imitating a few of their moves. With time and training you may find yourself competing in these races as well.

So you have already taken a tour of your local lakes and have navigated more rivers than you can count. Is it time for you to take on the big waves and head to the ocean? First let's make sure that you have your Paddle Board Equipment

    • You have a Stand Up Paddle Board, either rented or purchased.

    • You have your paddle.

•You are wearing your personal flotation device (You don't have a choice, the authorities will ticket you if you do not have it on).

    • A helmet. It may be optional depending on where you live but it is always recommended. Even if no one is near you in the water, you could take a big spill and knock your head on your own board.

Once you are all outfitted with your Paddle Board equipment, you are ready to catch some waves. Let's talk a little about etiquette first. Surfers do not like Paddle Boarders or "Sweepers". Some people say it is because they are snobs and look down on the new sport. I think it is because some rude Paddle Boarders have given the rest a bad name. A surfer has to lay on their board and paddle hard to get into a position for a big wave but Paddle Boarders don't. Their specially crafted paddle can move them through the water like they have an outboard motor. So you could beat a surfer to a wave 9 times out of 10. Don't do it. Join the line up with the other surfers and wait your turn. You will make a lot more friends and have a better time that way. After all, a Paddle Boarder doesn't need waves to have fun. The surfers have to wait in line but you can go off and explore the coast whether the waves are crashing or not. So be courteous to the other people on the water.

You shouldn't need any special moves. just stick to the standard strokes:

    • The Sweep – This paddle stroke give a Paddle Boarder their forward motion and their nick name. Just sweep three or four times on once side of the board and then switch sides to do three or four more.

    • The Skull – You may still need to maneuver yourself away from someone in the water, so be ready with the skull. Put your paddle at right angles to your board and make short back and forth strokes. This will push the board sideways through the water.

    • The Back Stroke – Just like the name says. It is a reverse sweep for those times you need to go backwards.

You may need to read up on some surfing sites or ask some of the friends that you meet on the water, to find out how to wide a wave in. I have heard that once you do, you're hooked for life.

To become a great paddler, it takes lots of practice and training. Competition and racing events also allows one to test their skills. This also will allow them to be around other advance paddlers. trading ideas and getting input from them will also help.

It can get very depressing when trying to find the right person to date. Many people have to go through a lot of dates to find the right person, however this can make anyone depressed. As a result, here are some steps that a person can take to increase their chances of finding the right person to date.

The first step is to find a group that has does something that you like. For instance, you are interested in doing volunteer work for the church and you like to find somebody with a similar interest. You should then go to your local church and join one of their groups. This will increase your chances of finding someone with similar interests.

Try finding a good dating service and take a test that will help you find somebody of similar interests and expectations. Ask your friends if they know of any good services. Do your homework and check for the company's credentials and then go from there.

Do not let your negative thinking get the best of you. When you are depressed, you will tend to think of negative things. When this happens remind yourself that worry exaggerates the problems you have and that things will get better. Try to avoid negative thoughts and remain positive.

Be patient. Some people have a difficult time finding the right person. The best advice is to keep on trying and to be on the look out for the right person. Ask your friends to help you out. If it is meant to be, then it is meant to be.

You can't make other people like you. If you have a difficult time in finding somebody, the best thing is to be happy being single. Being in a relationship is not all fun and games. There are advantages of being single and being in a relationship. Regardless of your situation, be happy with what you have.

Determine what your goals are and then develop a plan that will get what you want. Knowing what you want will help manage the stresses and anxieties of getting want you want. Having a sense of purpose can really help you in countering the stresses and anxieties of the situation.

Be smart in how you deal with your fears and anxieties. Do not try to tackle everything all at once. When facing a current or upcoming task that overwhelms you with a lot of anxiety, break the task into a series of smaller steps. Completing these smaller tasks one at a time will make the stress more manageable and increases your chances of success.

Take advantage of the help that is available around you. If possible, talk to a professional who can help you manage your depression and anxieties. They will be able to provide you with additional advice and insights on how to deal with your current problem. By talking to a professional, a person will be helping themselves in the long run because they will become better able to deal with their problems in the future. Remember that it never hurts to ask for help.

Job fairs are a great place to get leads on a restaurant career and to find out which companies are searching for Restaurant Staffing. When a person uses them effectively, they can be a quick way to gain new employment. Unfortunately, many people do not prepare for them the same way that they would for a job interview. If you are on a Restaurant Job Search, then anytime you talk to a potential employer you should act like it is a job interview. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

    • Do not just walk up to a table and say "What openings do you have?" A Food Recruiter is not looking for a jack of all trades that will take what they can get. They want a specialist that will add value to the team and immediately start moving the company toward its ultimate goals. Do your research about the restaurants before you go to the job fair. Find out which restaurants are going to be in attendance and what openings that they have in their roster. Then speak directly about the opening and why you would be the best person for the job.

    • Perfect your elevator speech. An elevator speech is no longer than 30 seconds and effectively communicates what you do and what your strengths are. So, when you meet a potential employer you can say, "Hello, my name is John Doe and I am a professional chef specializing in French cuisine. I see that you have an opening in your French restaurant for a head chef and I would love to discuss the details with you!" That will get you much more attention than, "Hi, do you have an application to fill out or should I just email you my resume?"

    • Come prepared. For many Restaurant Careers an employer will want to know what your skills are, as well as your employment history. So, bring a few copies of an updated resume with you. It is better to have them and not need them, than loose a potential job because you were not prepared.

    • Dress professionally and clean yourself up! If a company is doing a Restaurant Executive Search, then the first thing that they will look at is your image. It doesn't matter what your business acumen is, if your customers will not eat anything that you may have touched. Get a haircut, take a shower and wear business casual dress. That would be nice shoes or loafers, khaki pants and a golf shirt, at a minimum. The only caveat is to dress appropriately for the restaurant that you want to work for. If you are looking for a five star employer then you may want to dress up even nicer.

Remember you can also try a restaurant recruiting agency. These companies work hard to get you in front of hiring managers with many of the restaurants across the country. This is also a great way to land a top restaurant position with a thriving organization. They will also help prepare you for the interview and guideance with your resume creation.

Restaurants are still hiring. There are many great positions currently available. Just put forth a little effort and you may have a new job title soon.

Valencia is famous for its wine production; many of its wines are exported overseas for use in restaurants, or for personal use. Valencia's weather climate and soil consistencies form the perfect conditions for wine production.

Wine is a delicacy to be served with meals and on special occasions. Valencia is well known for its fiestas and celebrations throughout the year, so wine is often a part Valencia's lifestyle.

Knowing which type of wine to select with your meal, or to give as a present is important, as you will want to compliment your dinner with the right wine, or surprise your guest with a wine that suits their tastes.

Essentially, there are types of wine and all of some of these are more suitable to certain types of foods than others. White wines usually go well with white meat dishes, such as fish and chicken, while red wines traditionally go with red meat and pasta dishes.

Generally, there are sweet and dry wines, which can be found in both white and red wine varieties. If you are looking for a sweet white wine you might choose a Riesling. Leaving the grapes on the grape vines for a longer period of time makes sweet wines.

When looking for a sweet red wine you might try a merlot, or a cabernet sauvignon, both of which a delightful sweet red wine varieties. If looking for a dry white wine, you might try a Pinot Noir, or Sauvignon Blanc and if looking for a dry red wine you might try a Shiraz.

All wines should be chilled either in a fridge, or bucket of ice, prior to drinking, as this allows you to derive the most benefit from the wines flavors and experience. Also, most consumable wines are designed to be drunk within a few years from being made, so if you are buying wine for your cellar, keep this in mind.

Well, now that you know a little bit more about wines, you can enjoy Valencia's wines by making the right choices. Valencia wines can be sampled in its many restaurants and also at the Spanish Wine Festival, known as the 'La Rioja Wine Festival'.

The 'La Rioja Wine Festival' Wine Festival is a celebration of Spanish wines and, during this time, there are events and wine tasting, dinners and lots of merriment. Valencia also holds many fiestas throughout the year, which feature food and wine, such as the 'La Tomatina' Fiesta and the 'Fiesta Fallas de San Jose'.

Article Title: How Important is the Beat in a Song ?

    Author: Peter Vermeeren

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Of the many categories of songs that exist, the beat of the song is all-important. The beat of the song is the foundation that the rest of the song is built upon, it's what you tap your feet to. In some of these categories, or genres, it is of even greater importance, like jazz, rap and hip-hop.

Rap and hip-hop beats are often emphasized, and instead of being in he background, are brought to the fore and "in your face". The beat is transformed into the most identifiable "hook" to the song, the sound that first makes you take notice, and subsequently helps you to recognise the song. The beat is used in combination with musical instruments and/or samples to create the song, ensuring a harmonious result.

As with many other aspects of our technological progress, the digital era has brought us the possibility of making and recording our own music, at home on a computer, whereas not so many years ago this would have been a case of using a professional recording studio with it's corresponding cost. Now all you need to do is buy and download the necessary software, making it much cheaper and easier and bringing it within reach of many more people.

    Making your own Rap beat:

If you are just starting, or want to experiment with your Rap beat making capabilities, you should be able to find software that can be downloaded free, at least as a demo, or for a limited period. This can help you to try out the program, and your skills at using it, before spending money buying your own copy. In some cases a demo version will not have the complete range of options as the full program, but enough for you to know if you think it will be worth the investment. Also you can ensure that your software set-up is compatible and conforms with the minimum requirements of the program.

    If you have already passed this stage and consider that you are ready to use more complex programs with special effects, on the web you can look for the program that is most suited to your style and best for the ideas that you have in mind. You should bear in mind how much experience you have and what your skill level really is. When you are ready with these aspects then also bear in mind the following points and be sure that the program has these features;

    Using Rap beat making programs:

Never take anything for granted, you don't want to find out after making a purchase that you cannot save your projects in MP3 format, for example. You may think that all such programs would have that facility, but you may be surprised. So that is the first thing to make sure of - MP3 capability. Then make sure that the program has a 16 track sequencer set-up. This is a recording standard which allows you to build up a song by using up to 16 different tracks, each with it's own individual content. In this way you can "overdub", or put sound on sound to give your song more depth.

There is a good program called Sonic producer which has all this and also a very useful loop feature which slices the song up into separate "loops" and lets you work on each one individually. It has everything you need to take you from beginner level all the way to expert, and when you buy the program you also get a membership which gives you a constant contact with the supplier and other members/users which offers ongoing advice and help as your abilities improve and you can take on more complex themes.

Sonic producer, for a very reasonable cost, really provides you with a package that offers a lot more than just buying a program - you effectively become part of a team that is dedicated to move forward in the beat making music genre, it even has a virtual training center and you can also learn to play piano and other instruments. There is a helpful course of tutorial videos which endeavour to ease the learning process and as you improve, they even have competitions with cash prizes. It is fully compatible with any home computer whether it is a PC or Mac. All this along with 24/7 support, you really can't go wrong - Sonic producer is the program for you!

The musical genre "Blues" has been with us now for more than a century. Always very popular, it grew from a background of slavery in the southern states ao the USA, principally in the Mississippi delta. As the slaves worked they sang chants and labour songs, and also used "hollers" too communicate in the fields. With the abolition of slavery there remained a legacy of African American communities which still did the same kind of work as their enslaved ancestors. As people had more freedom to seek their own lifestyle, many turned to music, using the aforementioned characteristics to develop a new style. Legend has it that a bandleader who also played cornet, by the name of Willaim Christopher Handy wrote a song called Yellow Dog Blues, and from this the new style took it's name. The song was published in the year 1912.

The Blues soon became popular and the preferred style for performers from a working class background, singing about their hard lives and sad stories of their own experiences. As such it's popularity spread and gave more amd more people the urge to learn to play the guitar and sing the blues themselves. Of course the guitar is not the only instrument, but is probably identified more with the blues than any other. It really is the ideal instrument for the blues and gives a gritty "bluesy" sound, whether it is electric or acoustic. In the latter case it should have steel strings, not nylon, and many people find that thicker strings give a better tone with more sustain.

Blues music is often referred to as "12-bar blues", which although not the only, is the most common form. There is also 8,16 or even 24 bar blues forms. A 12-bar blues song, quite simply is divided up into 12 bars , or measures. There are 4 beats to the bar. A beat is like each time you tap your foot to the rhyrhm of a song. There must be a minimum of 3 chords, which will be played in combination over the 12 bars. Once that sequence is completed, it is then replayed over and over up to the end of the song. To start with, have your 12-bar, 3 chord sequence prepared, and practice strumming through the sequence. Only strum on the downward stroke for each beat until you get familiar with the rhythm and the chord changes.

Blues music can be played only using major chords, but many variations are possible using combinations of scales. These are normally referred to as mixolydian, dorian and the major and minor pentatonic scales. Theoretically these combinations should not work, for example playing major seventh chords over minor pentatonic scales, but in practice, in the blues it sounds great!

There are 3 types of rhythm "feel" in the blues, 12/8 feel, shuffle feel, and straight feel. It is important to pay attention to all 3 feels and to practise them, even though you are a beginner. Straight feel uses the "eighth-note" rhythm with evenly spaced beats; shuffle feel can be to stress the 1st and 3rd* beats (think of the bass drum beat), or the 2nd and 4th** beats (*Chicago shuffle and **Texas shuffle). 12/8 feel, also known as "slow blues" means twelve "eighth notes" to the bar.

A repeated chord sequence is referred to as a riff, a combination which can make a song instantly recognisable. The use of these, as well as other features such as intros, turnarounds and endings, are compiled in a way to give a song it's character and style. A turnaround is often played as the last bar of a blues progression. It's a kind of transition back to the tonic, which is where the next verse starts. Many turnarounds are similar to the intro. Another technique important to blues guitar playing is vibrato. This is achieved by "bending" the string to raise the pitch and then letting it back to it's normal pitch and string tension.

Lastly, it must be noted that, although we try to create and compile classes in an easier-to-learn way, at the end of the day you must be dedicated, and prepared to practice regularly and persevere with mastering the more difficult aspects. With this dedication and our classes, you will soon be on the way to becoming an accomplished blues guitar player.

These days, just what is a designer watch? Originally they were watches designed by one of the famous "designer labels" renowned for their clothing and designed to match their clothing. Always looking for more opportunities these labels also offer sunglasses, normal spectacles, perfumes and more to "accessorize" their garments. Names like Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Lacoste, Burberry and others all now offer fashionable watches to go with their clothing and accessory lines.

Traditional watch manufacturers, not wanting to be left by he wayside, responded with their own "designer" special editions so now the term "Designer Watch" can apply to watches from the above mentioned firms, and also from the likes of Rolex, Tissot, Tag Heuer, Breitling, Cartier and more. When I say "more" I really mean it, as the brands mentioned only scratch the surface. There are many more designer labels that offer watches, and many traditional watchmakers, particularly but not exclusively Swiss. Watches have always been for many people a fashion item, and now it is quite realistic to own a selection of watches that you choose from depending on what you wear, and what other accesories you may be taking.

Talking about fashion and accesories including necklaces, bracelets, earrings etc., we are talking about a market very much orientated towards women. Many ladies watches are small and go well with matching bracelets and other matching items, such as earrings, even handbags. With different color faces and wristbands there is a wide variety that can be chosen from to match a specific combination of gown, hat, handbag and shoes, for example.

For men, maybe the choice isn't so great for each individual, but there is no lack of choice in the market for men's watches. Traditionally, men`s watches are technical marvels with an array of functions built into an attractive and rugged case, unlike ladies watches that are more designed for appearance rather than function, at least for gala, or dress occasions. Of course in other aspects women can be just as adventurous as men and also have a requirement for a watch capable of fulfilling many roles. Let's look at the Tissot T-Touch range; somewhat unusually they are suitable for both men and women, and incorporate a compass, barometer, thermometer, and even an altimeter. It is also water resistant to depths of up to 30 meters. Whether you are swimming, mountain climbing, or trekking, this watch will provide with plenty of vital information. It is also guaranteed for two years.

These and other famous watchmakers have not been left behind by the trend for designer watches, and in many cases probably actually manufacture them as Armani, for example, is not going to start watchmaking. They will design the style and look of the watch, but obviously will not make it, it will be made by a proper watchmaking company, under the Armani name. This will also apply to the other products bearing their name, like perfumes for instance.

Certain brands, designer names and watchmakers alike, will bring out special and limited editions to celebrate sporting events and high-profile occasions.

Obviously timekeeping is a very imoprtant part of any sporting event, and as well as provide timekeeping facilities, they also sponsor events and their name is publicised in that way. Tag Heuer is associated with motor sport, and Omega with athletic competions, to mention a couple of examples. Again Tissot make a special edition watch for the MotoGP season.

The majority of these watches would be considered to be expensive items. The price can vary greatly according to the materials used in it's manufacture, the level of precision and number of man-hours required to make it. A watch with a case that has been machined from a block of solid gold is naturally going to cost a lot more than one that has been cast from steel or alloy. Rolex watches, to take an example, it seems will never go out of fashion, and if well looked after, just like fine jewelry, will actually increase in value, making it a sound and inflation-proof investment.

There are many very good copies on the market, some much better quality than others, so be very careful that you don't get caught out. The best way to be sure of authenticity is to buy from a reputable dealer, which can offer you excellent service as well as the full manufacturers guarantee.

The car - probably the most ..... consumer product in the modern world. The car comes in many aspects and is used in many different ways. From race cars to SUVs, they all have the same basic elements, just put together in a differnt fashion. Lets look here juat at the most fundamental of all; the "boring" family car. OK it's early in hthe morning, the kids are almost ready, then we'll be off on the school run, then the daily commute to work. While you're driving a sleek sports cars passes you, and while you know very well that it would be totally impractical for you, you can't help feeling that little bit of envy. Then you see a car that has been "tuned", it looks a bit like a race car but you can see that it is not that different to your own car, simply that it has had many parts added to it. One of the most eye-catching of these is the set of allo wheels, and you think that they may look pretty good on your own car.

The fashion for "tuning", adding body panels, spoilers, body skirts etc. is a bit of a misnomer. The original meaning of tuning really applies to the motor and other mechanical parts. It has exactly the same meaning as let's say, tuning a piano. Tuning an engine means making absolutely sure that all of the processes that occur when the engine is running, function at the peak of it's performance capability. Ingnition timimg, cam timing, fuel delivery to name just a few. That done, making sure that everything is adjusted to perfection, meanns that the engine produces peak power - and also achieves the best fuel economy.

Having made that clear. let's get back to our alloy wheels; OK they look great - but they are not exactly cheap, so what other benefits do they possess?

The answer is very simple - compared to your standard wheels they are extremely light. This helps your car's performance in several ways; firstly it minimizes what is known as the "unsprung weight" of the vehicle. The lower this is the better your suspension will perform, as the springs and shock- absorbers have to work less, optimizing suspension travel and reaction times, resulting in better grip, and a vast improvement in general handling characteristics and a better "feel" for the driver.

Another important advantage is that the alloys used in the manufacture of the wheels have much greater heat dissipation properties than steel.

What happens when you apply the brakes? If we think back to our schooldays we may remember one of the laws of physics which states that energy cannot be ceated or destroyed, only converted from on form to another. When you brake, the foward momentum of the vehicle is slowed by the brake pads rubbing against the disks or drums, converting that energy into heat. The quicker that this heat can be dissipated the better, so alloy wheels help greatly in this respect. If brakes overheat it can cause serious problems, including complete failure. By helping to get rid of the heat, the alloy wheels help to prevent overheating and therefore improve braking performance.

As if that wasn't enough there is yet another important advantage to fitting alloy wheels; due to their lightness they improve the general behaviour of the vehicle, making it lighter and therefore improving fuel consumption. So, while a nice set of alloy wheels may mean a significant expenditure, it should recuperate that in reducing thr car's overall running costs. As an expensive item they are rarely fitted as standard equipment, but could turn out to be an important investment, they improve suspension performance, braking performance, and cut down on running costs. You don't need to be a qualified mechanic to fit a set of alloy wheels, and for such a relatively simple item they can cosiderably improve your car's performance. On top of all that, they look great too - what are you waiting for?

People who possess an appealing speaking voice have undoubtedly been told by others many times that should do voiceovers, as if they think that all you need is a good voice. Well, I have to say here and now that that is far from the case. OK it is helpful to have a good voice to start with but, just like a screen actor, there is more to acting than a pretty face. Think about it, a screen actor has actually got more on his side to help people to believe in his character - he has all of the visual elements, make-up, wardrobe, scenery and lighting to mention just a few. The voice actor however has none of these on his side, he has to rely entirely on his voice to convince listeners that he is playing a role, and not himself.

So just how do voice actors go about making their voice fit the character - take the example of an audio book, where the speaker may have to convey a multitude of different characters in same breath almost - not so easy I think you will agree.

The first thing you have to do is categorize the type of learning capabilities you have. People learn through kinaesthetic (or tactile), visual and aural experience and you may not even realise which form makes learning easier for you. Kinaesthetic learning is a learning style in which learning takes place by the learner using their body in order to express a thought, an idea or an understanding of a particular concept. kinaesthetic and tactile learning

styles refer to activities such as running and knitting. Kinaesthetic learning has also been described as the human's body's ability to express itself through movement and dance.

Visual learning is a learning style in which ideas, concepts, data and other information are associated with images and techniques. Visual learners also prosper when shown graphs, graphic organizers such as webs, concept maps and idea maps, plots, and illustrations, which are some of the techniques used in visual learning to enhance thinking and learning skills.

Aural learning is a learning style in which a person learns through listening. They may struggle to understand a chapter they've read, but then experience a full understanding as they listen to the class lecture. An auditory learner may benefit by using the speech recognition tool available on many PCs. Aural learners may have a knack for ascertaining the true meaning of someone's words by listening to audible signals like changes in tone. When memorizing a phone number, an aural learner will say it out loud and then remember how it sounded to recall it.

Let's look at an example; Our voice actor has a new role that he has to characterise - the subject is a young male surfer. Our actor hasn't received the full description yet, so using one's imagination is paramount. So we imagine our surfer to be in his mid-teens, 15 or 16 years old. He is muscular, tall and physically well-built, and stands with a concave posture. It is important to be able to visualise this, as our actor will also adopt this stance.

Although it won't be seen, it will help the actor to get in character, will affect his breathing, and also the way his voice will sound. More

characterisics; our surfer is tanned as you would expect and has sun-bleached hair. He is self-confident, but at the same time much of this could be bravado, as his youth still makes him vulnerable. His voice is changing, he tries to ensures it always sounds deep and manly, but at times it inadvertantly cracks and momentarily sounds like a child. As you can see we are putting a lot into our character, more than you may have imagined for someone just to be portrayed in sound.

Here our voice actor is using kinaesthetis and visual learning styles to help to visualise the surfer and bring him to life. Adopting the posture, assuming the juvenile self-importance tinged with vulnerability, even imagining his visual apperance, all help our actor to get the desired result. To make clear how important this is - our voice actor in this case could actually be a 30 year old woman!

It is important for voice actors to be able to plays roles of their opposite sex, but we will look more closely at that in another article, not here and now. For a voice actor his voice is like an instrument that must be able to handle a wide vocal range, as well as accents, and the portrayal of age and sex.

So, we can se how the voice actor takes on physical and visual elements of our character to breath life into it, using his kinaesthetic and visual learning styles to visualise him, understand him, and therefore be able to memorize him, to get into character when required to do so.

As you can see, details are very important in character building, and the best way to be able to visualize certain traits, idiosynchrasies, and behaviour patterns is to observe the people around you. How they behave in certain situations, and how they react with other people, a limitless source of inpiration around you wherever you go. As well as stage or screen actors, for voice actors it is also extremely important to watch people in daily life, to be able to bring some of these features into your character. One small detail can make a huge difference, a lisp, a stutter, that can make a character memorable to the actor, and not least to the audience as well.

Are robotic vacuum cleaners really better than traditional vacuum cleaners?

There are several types of traditional vacuum cleaners, upright versions and canister versions. Most of us have used these at some point in our lives.

People have their preferences as to which type is the best - but may not be aware that you can now buy robotic vacuum cleaners which will completely change your ideas about which type to purchase if you are in the market now.

Vacuum cleaners are hard wearing and last a long time, but will still have been replaced several times through the years. As the years go by, it's not only machines that get older - we do too! Vacuum cleaning, whichever type of traditional cleaner is used, is quite a strenuous procedure. I'm over forty now, and keeping my 3 bedroom apartment clean is becoming a task which takes more and more out of me. My old machine is the canister type and tugging and pulling it around behind me, getting tangled up with the hose and the power cord, bending down to reach some areas, even sometimes having to get down on my hands and knees, is all getting a bit too much for me.

So what is the solution? Well it has been around longer than most people realise, but the robotic vacuum cleaner is the perfect answer to my problem.

The back pains, muscle strain in the legs, shoulders and other aching joints I used to suffer while vacuuming, are now a thing of the past thanks to the iRobot 532.

I understand that traditional vacuum cleaners are good quality machines and work well, and I appreciate that my old machine has served me well in the past, but the past is the past and now I want to look to the future. The future, without doubt in robotic vacuum cleaners. I don't doubt for a moment that in a few years everyone will be using them. As with many things people can be resistant to change and get stuck in their ways, but these robotic vacuum cleaners are not just newer varities of the cleaners we've all known - they really are a revolution and can liberate from the chore of vacuum cleaning forever.

Research into typical purchasers of robotic vacuum cleaners shows that they are generally people with back problems that cannot bend to undertake many household chores, people with disabilities and problems with mobility, and simply just very busy people. That is from current research, but I am sure that this demographic will soon change to include just about anyone who wants to buy a new vacuum cleaner.

The iRobot 532 robotic vacuum cleaner has some impressive features.

One remarkable feature is that the device comes with a pair of "virtual walls". These can be placed in specific positions so that the Roomba will go beyond an invisible line, or "virtual wall", keeping it away from areas that you do not want it to clean, or from stairs or places where it may fall and possibly get damaged.

Another feature is that the Roomba is capable of treating some areas differently to other, working harder if necessary to ensure that a thorough job is done. You can use the "spot clean" feature so that it will confine itself to a smaller area that needs some extra attention. It will automatically adjust to cope with cleaning different surfaces, lat's say moving from a smooth wooden floor to a carpetted area. Where you had to stop and manually change the brush height of the cleaning head, the Roomba just takes this in it's stride and make any adjustments itself.

Due to it's futuristic design the iRobot Roomba 532 will also clean under chairs, sofas etc. No more squatting and bending to reach difficult areas; your Roomba will reach places that were daunting for you with ease.

If you look at the range of Roomba robotic vacuum cleaners, you will find that some models seem very similar to one another, for example the Roomba 530 and the Roomba 532. What is the difference between them? Well the Roomba 532, as other models in the range thathave the "2" added to the model number, is one of the "Pet Series", which have extra features to cope with the extra demands if you have a pet at home which can make life more difficult when it comes to cleaning up.

The extra features include twin interchangeable bins, the "Vacuuming" bin and the high-capacity "Sweeper" bin, which keeps up with the demands of removing the pet hair and dander, that non pet owners do not have to worry about. It also has extra interchangeable brushes and filters for more frequent cleaning and replacement. These extra featueres make the Roomba 532 (or other models in the Pet Series) a must-have if you have one or more pets sharing your home.

Now we come to the feature that is really what robots and robotic vacuum cleaners are all about; apart from atending to the routine maintenance you can simply set it to work and forget about it. You can be somewhere else in the home occupying yourself with other matters, or you can go out - shopping, to visit friends, taking the dog for a walk or any number of other reasons. Then you arrive back home and the vacuuming has been while you've been away! This really is the future in our hands today - what many people might still think of as science fiction is a reality.

The iRobot 532 can save you physical exertion with the aches and pains associated with vacuuming, save you time as it looks after itself working while you are not at home, and save from one of the household chores that you least looked forward to doing.

The future is here, now - make the most of it!

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Our world is becoming more and more automated every day, with many things more associated with science fiction becoming reality. One of the most high

profile areas is that of robots, and in the front line are robots that can help with everyday chores around the house.

Any machine that has ever been invented has been to make life easier for us, so that we don't have to exert so much physical strength and take up so much time in the work we have to do every day. Today, one of the best examples of this is the robotic vacuum cleaner. A great deal of time and effort can be saved by simply switching on the robotic vacuum cleaner and leaving it unsupervised to clean the floors of your home while you get on with the many other tasks and chores which we have to do to keep our homes clean and tidy.

Robotic vacuum cleaners have been available for several years now, and are gaining in popularity around the world. That is proven by the fact that so many manufacturers are offering these products. So let's take a look and see if we can make some recommendations.

A robot at home? Can that really work?

Great strides are being made nowadays in new technologies, robotics being one of the most appealing and innovative of these. Much research and development means that robotic products for the home are now a firm reality. One of the most popular of these devices is the robotic vacuum cleaner. For finding their way around, they use RFID technology (Radio Frequency Identification), which is widely used in other applications such as race timing and toll-road usage payment systems. The majority of robotic vacuum cleaners employ rubber bumper protection, which can double as sensors to detect obstacles. Top-of-the-range models have sensors that operate by infra-red projection, and can detect both static and moving objects (such as a person walking across the room) and take evasive action accordingly.

Many other features are available, some have base to which they will automatically return to if battery power is getting low and recharge itself. They can remember where they have cleaned and where they have not, in order to return to complete the task after recharging. Other models may be equipped with sensors that ensure that the robotic vacuum cleaner will not fall down the stairs or from a balcony. They can pass underneath beds and other items of furniture and also detect the type of floor surface, be it carpeted or smooth, and make the necessary adjustments to the brushes to suit. The brushes can be of different types and rotate in different axes to ensure that a thorough cleaning job is done. All this without any intervention needed from you!

    Principal manufacturers and leading brands.

As this technology has without doubt a bright future, there are many companies involved in research and development and producing their own range of models. Companies known for their electrodomestic machines like Electrolux, power tool specialists like Hitachi, vacuum cleaner specialists like Dyson and Hoover, Robotic specialists like iRobot and many others are all involved in the production of robotic vacuum cleaners. Development is taking place at such a rate that soon we may be free from doing our own home cleaning for ever.

The number of people buying robotic vacuum cleaners is growing every day, and it is easy to find many reviews of these products. While it may be an easy decision to make that you want a robotic vacuum cleaner, it may not be so easy to decide which one. Here is a selection of just a few of the models available from the more well known brands; Hoover Cleanfriend, iRobot Roomba, Electrolux Trilobite, Asus E-Clean, Dyson Robot, Samsung Navibot and LG Roboking. Add to these many not so well known brands and you can see that you could be facing a tough choice. Lets pick one - the iRobot Roomba. There are more than 10 models to choose from with a large choice of features and prices ranging from $200 to $600. You will need to find as many reviews as possible and do plenty of research to figure out which one to buy.

$200 may sound a lot for a lower end robotic vacuum cleaner, but even the most basic models can free you from one of the most tiresome household chores, allowing you more free time to pursue other interests. You may end up feeling like that's the best $200 you've spent for a long time. Robotic vacuum cleaners are just one example of the way our lives are going to change in the future, with more and more robotic products coming on to the market, and costant development leading to the production of more models that are even more capable than the one before it.

To start your own research you should really start looking for product reviews, the opinion of an owner or reviewer is more reliable than any companies own publicity. You could try checking out "Best Vacuum Cleaner Ratings" which is published on-line by webmaster Tomaz Mencinger. He has had plenty of success with this, it reviews all types and brands of vacuum cleaners including robotic and gives plenty of helpful advice. It could be a good way to start finding out which is the best robotic vacuum cleaner for your requirements, and therefore the best value to spend your well earned cash on.

Since man has roamed planet earth, he has been interested in finding his way to navigate from one place to another. He has used the stars, and developed instruments such as the sextant and the compass. Theories abound of ancient civilizations following "ley lines" or other tracks, sometimes a secret only kept by the initiated. This obsession with finding the best route, and avoiding getting lost has been with us always.

The definitive solution to this is now in our hands in the shape of the modern GPS system. Anyone can know their precise position on the planet, and easily find out exactly how to get to where he wants to go. Now it is almost impossible to get lost, because you are in contact with a whole network of satellites that are continuously transmitting information to you that will ensure that you reach your destination. No more wrong turns, no more struggling with maps or stopping to ask for directions. All you need to become a part of this system is to buy a Bluetooth GPS receiver. In todays market there are many models available to suit your needs.

    Bluetooth GPS receiver availability.

As Bluetooth is a wireless system, it is possible to have connectivity problems in certain circumstances, although having said that the majority of users do not make negative reports of this type. A Bluetooth GPS receiver should function correctly in any area, there are many brands available, quite a number of which are familiar to many people. A good example of this is the TomTom. In many cases this is the first Bluetooth GPS receiver that a person has heard of.

This Bluetooth GPS receiver features a screen display and gives audible directions to the user. The screen is wide and features touch-screen technology for a friendly interface with the user, simplifying the input of data. The map display is clear and the spoken directions guide the user through each and every turn of their journey.

Another well known brand of Bluetooth GPS receiver is the TeleNav. It is fitted to the dashboard of the vehicle, and relays the directional instructions to the driver via a PDA device or cellular phone. Naturally it is imperative that this device is Bluetooth enabled and has full compatability with the TeleNav Bluetooth GPS receiver. This is a very convenient method as the Bluetooth GPS receiver remains in the vehicle, while your phone or retains it's full portability and goes anywhere with you.

We have just looked at 2 different types of Bluetooth GPS receiver but there are many others available, of the stand alone variety, the relay to your cellphone variety, and more that transmit the information in other ways. What they all do is use the global GPS system of satellites to locate your position and use this data to interact with the destination that you have given to inform you of the best route. You can choose between the shortest, quickest, or cheapest route and the Bluetooth GPS receiver will guide you there with the minimum of fuss.

As with any important purchase it is advisable to weigh up the pros and cons of each product according to your specific needs. Also bear in mind that many of these products will come with their own software, which will have to be installed on your other devices to ensure that they are all compatible with one another.

The Bluetooth GPS receiver is one of todays most popular products and users are finding it very useful being able to take advantage of the latest satellite technology to answer one of mans greatest dilemmas and find his way around, travelling safely in the knowledge that they will not get lost on their journey.

Parenting does not always have to be a stressful job. There are ways to take care of your kids without always getting stressed out. Here is a list of techniques that a person can use to help manage their daily stresses and anxieties while taking care of the kids.

Share the responsibilities of being a parent with your spouse. Do not try to do everything all at once. If you and your spouse can learn to work together then parenting will not be as stressful. Your stress will decrease when you share the responsibilities in taking care of the kids.

Many times we get overwhelmed with many different tasks that we face. When this happens, a person should stop what they are doing and try to find something to do for a few minutes to get their mind off of the problem. A person could take a walk, read a book, or watch some television to get their mind off of their problems. This will help you to refocus on your present situation.

Do not put off tomorrow what you can do today. Things have a tendency to build up if you keep putting them off. Do what you can do today. If you have to help your kids with a school project, then try to get started today instead of waiting till the end of the week. When the end of the week comes, you will feel better that you got started in this particular task.

Learn to pace yourself. Don't do too much because you will get burned out. A person can only do so much in a particular day. Stay organized and don't do everything all at once. This will help you to manage your stress

Take a day to relax. Taking the day off to go to the beach or to go shopping will help you to relax. Let your babysitter or spouse take care of the kids for part of the day.

Being a parent does not have to be that stressful. Finding ways to cope with your stresses will help you to enjoy taking care of the kids. If you have trouble doing this, then seek the services of a professional.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

In the modern home, one of the newer technologies to automate the daily chores comes in the form of robotic vacuum cleaners. One of the most popular brands is the Roomba from the hi-tec manufacturer iRobot. They have a wide range of models covering almost any conceivable eventuality, and the prices range from $600 at the top of the spectrum, down to slightly less than $200 for the "budget" version. Naturally the features of each model vary according to price.

iRobot have wide range of automatic cleaning robots for the home, and in this article we will focus on the Roomba robotic vacuum cleaaner range of products. As there are more than 10 models in the range that all look reasonably similar, this article will try to help you to make the best decision when you decide that you are ready to make the jump and leave the task of vacuuming the house to a robot.

Although they look similar in many ways, the higher priced models ship with more accesories included in the total price, and may also incorporate newer technological advances in it's array of features. Keeping your home clean can seem an endless task, so leaving the vacuum cleaning to your Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner gives you more time to concentrate on other aspects. If you are considering buying more than one model, or if this technology is not so new to you and are buying a new model to replace an older one, be sure that you check that the accessories are compatible. Many are compatible across the range but not all, so make sure that you check this out to avoid any disappointment.

Let's start our comparison by looking at the most basic model first and work our way up the range. As with many products, as the price increases so

do the number of features, while retaining the basic features of the lowest priced model.

So first we will look at the Roomba 435, being the base model with fewest features and lowest price. That doesn't mean that it may not be perfectly adequate for your requirements, therefore being the best choice for you. It will need you to give it a helping hand from time to time and also require more maintenance. If it your first robotic vacuum cleaner, then it may be advisable to start with some involvment on your part required, let's say a more "hands-on" environment.

This model will clean 1 to 2 rooms per charge, and does not have the following features that are available on the more expensive models; pre-scheduling, high-capacity bin, anti-tangle & light-touch bumpers, room-to-room navigation and automatic self-charging.

The Roomba 435 costs approximately $200, but keep a look out for special offers and you may find one for significantly less. It has a good reputation, is good value for money and has been highly rated in surveys.

Moving up the range, the next model is the Roomba 510, which in addition to the above features offers a higher capacity storage bin, light touch sensitive bumpers, and an anti-tangle feature. Street prices vary but expect this to cost about $80 more than the Roomba 435.

For only $20 more, the Roomba 530 has extra power enabling it to clean up to 3 rooms, and the very convenient self-charging feature which automatically takes the robotic vacuum cleaner back to it's compact home base to recharge. This will occur when it has finished cleaning or if the battery is low on power. You also get 2 "virtual walls" with this model, which create an invisible barrier to stop the machine from entering areas that you want to be off-limits to the machine.

The next model is the Roomba 560, which in addition to the above, has even more power enabling it to clean up to 4 rooms per charge, and the on-board scheduling feature, allowing you to preset the work schedule for up to 7 days. This model costs about $50 more than the previous one, bringing the cost up to approximately $350.

Next up the Roomba 570, which compared to the previous models include the following extra features; The "virtual walls" receive the "lighthouse" feature which allow you to configure room to room sequential operation. Last but not least it has a remote control unit, allowing you to steer and guide your Roomba around the room while you remain seated. The Roomba 570 robotic vacuum cleaner costs about $450.

In addition, the 3 previous models have a "Pet Series" version available, the Roomba 532, Roomba 562, and Roomba 572 respectively. These have the additional features of extra brushes and filters, and 2 interchangeable bins to keep up with the added cleaning capacity required if you have household pets. Many of us know only too well how much extra hair, dirt and crumbs a dog or cat can produce! These cost about $20 more than their standard equivalent models.

At the top of the range we have the Roomba 610 Professional. This really is loaded with the best features starting with industrial strength paint finish and bumpers. It has the extra features of the "Pet Series" Roomba models and includes a heavy-duty accessory case to take the knocks of the professional cleaner. Where all the other models have 2 cleaning modes, the Roomba 610 professional has 3, adding "Max" mode to it's capabilties, allowing it to clean much larger areas. If the battery runs low it will go back to it's compact home base and recharge itself. It comes with an accessory pack including brushes, filters and brush-cleaning tools, and is guaranteed for 2 years, double that of the other models. It costs in the region of $600.

So to re-cap; the high end models are feature-packed and have many automatic programing options and intuitive functions. Some of these features may well be surplus to your requirements and a more basic model could suit your needs perfectly. If you have a pet I would recommend 1 of the 3 "Pet Series" models to cope with the demands of extra hair and fluff to contend with. If this is not the case then you need to consider what you expect from you robotic vacuum cleaner, your budget, and how much involvement you want to have with it's operation.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

It is a well known fact that couples can have an argument while driving. According to surveys, one of the main causes for this is when the woman (passenger) crticizes the man (driver) for not stopping to ask someone for directions when they are not sure where they are going. After the installation of an auto GPS device in your car, this situation will be avoided - now there will be no reason to criticize anyone for continuing to drive around when they are effectively lost, and there will be no more need to ask anyone for directions.

Having said that, there may be some men that do not feel comfortable with an auto GPS device, because with many models the voice instructions comes in the form of a softly spoken female, and may remind them too much of listening to to their spouses advice while driving.

The types of auto GPS device available in today's market basiacally fall into 3 categories; firstly the type that is built into the vehicle dashboard during manufacture at the factory, secondly the type that is fixed to a solid retro-fitted bracket that renders it difficult to change it from one vehicle to another, and thirdly the type that is truly portable and easily transferable for use in any vehicle you may be in at the time.

With so many different makes and models there is a great variety of devices that offer widely ranging performance chacteristics and the accuracy of the information that the device provides can vary also.

Preparation required for using an auto GPS device.

Many people think that you only need to fit the auto GPS device in the car, turn it on, and that it will instantly start to give you directions. This is clearly not the case - you must first introduce your location and your intended destination before will be able to help you. Also when you purchase an auto GPS device, the installed maps will be relatively basic and may not include the area of intended travel. You can be sure that the manufacturer will have a website from where you can buy and download more maps to ensure that you will be able to get to where you want to go. In many cases these can be downloaded directly to the device.

The GPS system (Global Positioning System) operates via satellites that are orbiting around the earth. There are between 24 and 32 satellites orbiting the earth at any one time. Obviously not all of these are accesible at any one time. For the device to work at all, it needs to be able to receive data from a minimum of 4 satellites. The number of satellites that the device will make contact with will vary depending on it's position and the orbit of the satellites. This will usually average between 8 and 12 satellites, and the greater the number, the more accurate the information that you receive from your auto GPS device will be.

The GPS system is operated and maintained by the US government, and was originally developed for military purposes. It is a good example of how modern technology can be of great use to the civilian population around the world, despite it's military origins.

The way in which the auto GPS device communicates with you also vary depending on make and model. One may say , for example "in 300 feet, turn left", whereas another might actually tell you the name of the street when you get there. However the auto GPS device conveys the information to you, it will be accurate and reliable, whereas suggestions from whoever may be sat in the passenger seat will not!

Some people get into a relationship so they do not have to be alone. This is not a good idea. Getting into a relationship with someone just so you are with someone doesn't always work out. A person should get into a relationship for the right reasons.

Getting into a relationship with someone for the sake of not being by yourself can cause problems down the road. What happens if you pick the wrong person? Let's say you choose someone and you get married. After five or six months, you start to realize that you made a mistake in selecting this person. What do you do now?

A lot of times, our worrying can make the problem even worse. All the worrying in the world will not change anything. All you can do is to do your best each day, hope for the best, and when something does happen, take it in stride.

Spending some time with animals can help you to feel better. Get a pet or volunteer at your local animal shelter. Walking or petting the animals can be very effective in managing loneliness. Animals are a great source for companionship.

Determine what you like to do and find a group where you can enjoy that activity. If you like to play baseball then find a local team. If you like to run, go to the track and run. Doing something you like will keep you active and help you to make friends.

It is important to have a good set of friends to deal with your loneliness. A person who has friends will not be as alone as for someone who is constantly by themselves. Again, join a group where you can develop long lasting friendships.

Learn to take it one day at a time. Instead of worrying about how you will get through the rest of the week, try to focus on today. Each day can provide us with different opportunities to learn new things and that includes learning how to deal with your problems. You never know when the answers you are looking for will come to your doorstep. We may be ninety-nine percent correct in predicting the future, but all it takes is for that one percent to make a world of difference.

Regardless of your situation, things do not stay the same. You may feel very bad today, but it won't last forever. Remember this fact: Regardless of your current situation, everything changes over time. This includes your current situation. Nothing remains the same forever.

In woodworking, precision is one of the most important factors. All parts to fit a plan should be accurately cut to size. If a piece is cut too long can be easily remedied, but a piece cut too short must be cut again, wasting time and material. Generally speaking, inacurracy, however slight, can cost you a lot of wasted time, making any job take longer than it should, and spending more time in the workshop than is necessary.

Obviously this situation is far from desirable.Time wasted in this way robs you of time spent with your family, and ruins the enjoyment of your hobby. You should be getting satisfaction from the results of your woodworking, not frustration from having to repeat cuts unnecessarily.

At MAKITA, this problem has been recognised and addressed. Having been making power tools for almost a century, their committed staff know that in woodworking, precision is paramount. MAKITA desk saws are designed so that accurate cuts are guaranteed.

Optimal precision from MAKITA desk saws - how this is acheived:

One of the principal features of a desk saw that assures accuracy is a clean, flat cutting surface. Not only that, MAKITA desk saws feature rip fences which move on rails, thus optimizing accuracy in parallel with the cutting surface.

The majority of cutting errors in woodworking stem from an incorrect scale set-up. No machine can avoid the element of human error. The correct set-up is important, so if the procedure is simplified, the possibilities of getting it wrong are significantly reduced. At MAKITA, the design and engineering staff have developed easy to learn scales, which combined with the incorporated magnifying glass drastically reduce the chances of making mistakes.

MAKITA Table Saws: Reliable and durable.

Durability is always an important factor when it comes to buying a new power tool. Let's face it, who wants to spend good money on a new product if it is not going to stand the test of time. Woodwork specialists need accurate cutting, but also the security that their tools will serve them for years to come.

Another advantage with MAKITA Desk Saws is their ruggedness. The desk tops are precision machined from die-cast aluminium blanks and sturdy construction means years of reliable operation. MAKITA's heritage of building electric motors is evident in the superb quality of their 15 amp models used in the Desk Saws.

You can rely on them to run at their operating speed of 4,800 rpm, all day and every day for years into the future.

    The MAKITA Warranty:

MAKITA are proud of the high standards and quality of their products. Their quality control procedures ensure that every power tool that leaves the factory is fully tested beforehand. Thanks to this there is a 1 year guarantee that covers the customer against defective manufacture from the day they buy their product.

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with the performance of your MAKITA Table Saw, there is a 30 day period within which you are free to return it to the point of sale for replacement or a full refund.

Article Title: Is it Worth Spending More to Buy Big-name Brands For Your Power Tools ?

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

We all know that the well known power tool brands, for example MAKITA or DeWALT, are a lot more expensive than unknown brands made in far-flung corners of the world?

Just why is it that the name seems to cost so much? Either power tool will perform the same task, whether you buy the more expensive one or the cheaper version.

You need to consider your budget and your requirements to decide whether buying the expensive brand justifies the extra cost in your particular case.

Cheaper, no name brands can fit the bill if you only have a requirement from time to time, for small jobs around the house. We know that they are imported from countries like Korea and China, we know that they are not built to the same standards of quality, but they are much cheaper to buy, as much as one third of the price of a name brand product.

Being so cheap it is not so important if it gets lost or broken, as it cheap to replace and will anyway only need to be used a small number of times through the year.

Remember you could buy three cheaper brands for the same price as just one name brand power tool. Under normal cicumstances there is no reason why the cheaper brand should not fulfill it's task, and should have a reasonable life expectancy if it is well looked after.

If you are a professional and therefore the power tool will be used daily in your work, you really should only consider buying a name brand, it is after all, helping you to make a living!

One reason for this is that if the power tool breaks down, then you cannot work and your earning potential is affected. It is beyond doubt that the name brand tools are made to higher standards from better materials, they can withstand higher usage and adverse working conditions and a less prone to breakdowns.

A power tool being used daily requires a dependability far beyond that of one that will only see use every couple of months.

In the important market for cordless power tools, the name brands have higher quality batteries which take less time to charge, hold their charge for longer periods and have a longer overall life expectancy.

Another important factor is that the name brand power tools are better designed from an ergonomic point of view. This results in less fatigue for the user, hence more productivity.

If a name brand power tool does break down unexpectedly, you can be sure that it is covered by an extensive and useful guarantee. Cheaper no name brands will not have this safeguard.

To sum up, name brand power tools are undoubtedly worth paying more to purchase if you need it for your day to day working environment, and that your income depends on it.

However if you only need it for small jobs around the house, or even for a hobby, then a cheaper no name brand should be adequate for your needs.

I, for example, buy the cheaper products for my small workshop, as it enables me to buy a more varied range of tools for different purposes, resulting in greater versatility without a huge expenditure.

At the end of the day, you must choose which kind of power tool best suits your needs and your budget, and make the choice accordingly bearing in mind the above considerations.

At powerdrillexperts.com we provide the customer with expert reviews of most of the cordless power tools but also of the electric power tools on the market today for the professional and hobbyist alike.

Article Title: Making the Choice Between Electric and Cordless Power Tools

Generally speaking, power tools are attractive products, well designed with a variety of uses and easy on the pocket. When it comes to making a purchase, how do you decide between buying an electric or cordless version? Either option can be tempting, so you really need to consider how and where the power tool will be used to make your decision and where to spend your money.

In today's market, cordless power tools are the relative newcomers taking on the established electric power tools. Cordless power tools are easier to use and cause less fatigue due to their more compact design and lighter weight. Being battery powered they are portable and the only need to find a power outlet is for recharging. The majority of cordless power tools have a useful period of 2 hours between charges and are available in 12 volt or 24 volt versions.

On the other hand, despite the fact that rapid progress in battery technology has increased longevity and capacity, cordless power tools don't come close to their electric cousins of similar type.

Electric power tools produce much more constant speed and torque, whereas the cordless varieties are restricted by having to keep their batteries light and compact.

Since the beginning of last century power tools have transformed the way we work. From that time, there is scarcely a building that hasn't involved the use of power tools in it's construction.

The cordless power tool designs are relatively simple, and for use only require a convenient supply of electricity.

Extremely high speeds are possible with electric power tools, even up to more than 14,000 rpm and also produce high torque figures. As long as a supply of elecrical power is available, electric power tools are always on hand wherever and whenever needed.

As long as the supply of electrical power is available, the power of our electric power tools is there for us. Sometimes though, this supply is not available, it may be too far away, it may not be there at all. Distance can be overcome by the use of extension cables, or generators can also be used. It should be pointed out that if extension cables are used, then extra safety checks should be made to ensure the work area is safe and that all cables are in good condition.

It's good to have power tools available, whether of the cordless power tools or electric variety, but remember, like all tools, cordless power tools also have their drawbacks. Make sure that before buying your next power tool that you take in all the above considerations to make the right choice.

Then you can rest assured that your money is well spent, and that your new power tool will stand the test of time.

Some great cordless tool brands are :

    Makita Cordless Tools

    Dewalt Cordless Tools

    Milwaukee Cordless Tools

    Hitachi Cordless Tools

    Bosch Cordless Tools

    Skill Cordless Tools

    Stout Cordless Tools

Makita has made a 'job site' radio for in the field workers to listen to while at work.

Being that I am a fan of makita products I will be touching down on the key features of their new footprint radio.

I use a lot of these products in my day to day life and want to provide some insight on these products before you as the consumer purchase these products. I will try to keep this as short as possible for the sake of brevity.

The makita radio is a FM-AM radio and has two channels with a 5-watt output equipped with speakers full of clarity

and punch. It has a molded casing with neoprene end-panel protectors and chrome control panel bars for further protection.

It also has a digital push button channel selection system and a rotary knob for control of the volume and tuner.

As of this writing there are two different makita radios in production. They are similar in price but different in

color with one being the traditional makita blue and the other being white. The white has an auxiliary jack for hooking up your iPod or mp3 player but the blue does not. Both are cordless and designed to to run on a standard slide battery, pod battery, or 18V Lxt Lithium battery.

It also has a separate adapter for AC operation and did I forget to mention that these bad boys are weather proof!?

What more could you ask for? Go get your new Makita Radio

    The all-new radio from MAKITA.

MAKITA now makes an "on-site" radio so that workers can tune in to their favorite station while out in the field.

Let's have a look at some of the main features of this vanguard product, that is new to the market.

I would like to review this product for you, as I use them on a daily basis and can hopfully help you in your decision-making process, prior to making a purchase. I'll try to keep things concise and to the point.

This new radio from MAKITA is a 2-channel, AM-FM unit with an output of 5 watts driving the clear and punchy speakers.

It boasts a push-button digital syatem for channel switching, and a rotary volume control knob.

The casing consists of a strong molding with protectors for the end panels made from neoprene, with even more protection offered by the chrome bars which guard the control panel.

At time of writing, MAKITA have 2 models on offer. These differ mainly in color, 1 model in MAKITA trademark blue and 1 model available in white. The price of both models is similar, although it must be pointed out that the white version

has an input jack socket to connect an iPod or other mp3 device, whereas the blue model does not offer this feature.

Both models are cordless, power being supplied by either a pod battery, an 18 volt LXT Lithium (rechargeable?) battery, or a standard slide battery.

There is a mains AC adapter included and a very important feature - these new radios are completely waterproop to resist any weather conditions! You really can't ask more from this product, I would not hesitate to recommend that you

buy this new radio from MAKITA.

Some people may find it daunting to do yoga exercise movements and go to yoga lessons exceptionally if it's their very first time. One reason is that they believe yoga is only for the rich and famous. However, one important subject about the progression of yoga and fitness is that it became accessible to almost everyone from contrasting walks of life. Although yoga isn't as difficult as other kind of exercise sessions, it is still vitally important to keep a good number of things in mind when giving it a go for the first time. Here is the fundamental guide to yoga for beginners.

As of today, there are lots of yoga styles that women and men can pick to educate yourself about. Many of the yoga teachers advise starting off with the Iyengar style. One of the main considerations is that this yoga style uses many types of props like bolsters and cushions that might help those who are not used to yoga. Since there are distinct yoga positions and postures that may possibly require some amount of flexibility, these props can certainly help beginners do them perfectly.

There can be some who suggest the Kripalu style since it is centered on the emotional portion of yoga exercises. There'll still be body movements. In spite of this, they will not be that extreme. It will target the mental exercise that can bring about considerably better mental health and well being and self-awareness. Basic introspection talents aren't important for this style.

For many who are still contemplating if they'll end up getting toned or lose weight by doing yoga exercises, the answer is absolutely yes. However, just like any other exercises, if it is not executed correctly and regularly, then it won't be that highly effective. This is why it is important to be present at yoga lessons regularly. For those who are planning of performing it at their house, then they would also need to create a schedule so that they will be able to practice it each and every day.

Everyone must also keep in mind that they might not notice any crucial physical differences after a few days of doing yoga. On the other hand, they may be able to feel certain modifications in their overall mindset after a couple of classes and sessions.

Tips on how to Do Yoga Breathing

When you are performing yoga activities, it's simply not enough that you know all the appropriate positions and body stance. You should also be aware of the right way to breathe when you are performing yoga movements so that you will be able to execute them without feeling exhausted. Knowing how to carry out yogic breathing may also be a good way to relax your head and the body. He're the basics that you must know about yoga breathing.

Observe the natural process that you inhale and exhale. Remember to rest on your backside and study your natural breathing technique and the duration of your inhale and exhale. Once you've an idea, lengthen your inhalation and exhalation. This can be done by taking in deeper breaths and exhaling through pursed mouth.

Recognize that whenever you breathe in, your abdomen rises up and then your upper body expands. On the other hand, once you exhale your mid-section drops and then your chest tightens. Be aware of the up and down movements of the abdominal muscles and the expansion and shrinkage of the chest muscles. By means of inhaling gently and significantly, you will start to recognize this routine and once you do, you will be able to properly prolong the time period that you breathe. You should be able to experience each and every rise and fall of the mid-section and each and every expansion and contraction of the chest muscles.

Execute this for approximately twenty times and you'll be able to definitely feel relaxed and truly peaceful. What is so fabulous about yogic breathing is you can do it wherever you are. So, if you should face stressful activities, doing yoga breathing can help you handle it much better. It will also help you resolve any circulatory or respiratory complications that you may have. Although it may not cure them, yoga breathing will allow you to work with them better.

One thing that you must remember when performing yoga breathing is to make it natural and light. You should not feel any strain after executing it. If you do, it simply indicates that you are not executing it properly. Bare in mind to stay relaxed and calm.
