A mentor is often defined as "a trusted counsellor or guide" or "a wise, loyal advisor or coach." The action of mentoring itself is classified as one-to-one encouragement, advice, or befriending for an individual.

The original Mentor is a character in Homer's epic poem The Odyssey. When Odysseus went to fight in the Trojan War, he entrusted the care of his kingdom to Mentor, including overseeing and teaching Telemachus, Odysseus's son.

    Famous Mentoring saying:

"Mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction." by John Crosby

"Mentoring is to support and encourage people to manage their own learning in order that they may maximise their potential, develop their skills, improve their performance and become the person they want to be." by Eric Parsloe, Oxford School of Coaching & Mentoring.

Today a wide range of employers acknowledge that their senior staff need nurturing as well as other personnel, and so the demand is growing. Previously it was primarily middle management who received mentoring. But that has changed in the last few years and many CEOs and MDs now actively seek mentoring to advance their careers, and personal development. Individual mentoring for top executives is now a timely, much needed, and sought after services.

In today's busy, target driven and often stressful society, many businesses support and actively encourage their staff to have a mentor, or attend a mentoring course. Some businesses also offer fully customised mentoring seminars in-house.

    But what can mentors offer?

A personal mentor is someone who cares about people; someone they can easily trust, who can help them to develop their potential. Sessions are both private and confidential ensuring an environment where each client feels safe and supported.

Professional mentoring is about helping mentees to understand, plan and implement whatever it is that they want to achieve. Mentors assist others to make significant transitions in knowledge, work or thinking.

A mentor provides guidance and support in a variety of ways to a developing individual, acting as confidante, role model or tutor. Through a variety of approaches they help expand mentees' horizons and increase their chances of success on every level, offering guidance, support and assistance as the person faces new challenges. Like the original character in The Odyssey, mentors assist by non-judgmental listening, giving advice, and through sharing their experiences, their own life challenges and successes.

Mentoring is designed to help each person to fully understand where they are now, where they want to go, and how to achieve it in the best way possible. It also provides a highly confidential way to share and explore problems, difficulties and strategies. Today, thousands of people worldwide from all walks of life benefit from this form of help and advice.

Some of the areas that mentors work with are goal setting and creating effective, more enjoyable ways to achieve short and long-term goals, both business and personal.

"It is not what we give but what we share, for the gift without the giver is bare." (Unknown)

Genevieve Dawid is both a dyslexic and a parent of a dyslexic. Her daughter, like herself took many years to be diagnosed with dyslexia and then receive help. Genevieve's goal is to convince you that dyslexia is a gift and not a burden.

I have dyslexia and I am proud of it. However I wish society had more of an understanding and less of a misconception about what dyslexia is. I have read all sorts of research about the scientific reasons that may cause dyslexia. Whilst the articles and reports make excellent reading and seem very informative, as a parent of a dyslexic I am more interested in the day to day practicalities of living with this condition.

Dyslexia is a specific learning disability that manifests primarily as a difficulty with written language, particularly with reading and spelling. Dyslexia is the result of a neurological difference but is not an intellectual disability. Most people with dyslexia have average or above-average intelligence. (source:Wikipedia 2007)

As my daughter started school I asked teachers at three different schools that she attended, "Is my daughter dyslexic?". As my daughter was very bright and a beautiful writer and reader, they all stated that I was reading into something that simply wasn't there. Her father, a non-dyslexic, was also adamant that our daughter was dyslexic. It was only after a £250 test and starting college, that it became fully apparent that she was dyslexic, dyspraxic and had acalculia. Only then did she begin to receive the support she needed: extra time during examinations and excellent support when she started university.

When I was a child, dyslexia had hardly been heard of. My parents invented ways of learning which were ground breaking and really helped with my learning. However, if diagnosis and support isn't offered by schools, dyslexic children are definately at a massive disadvantage to their peers who are without the learning difficulty.

I have recently written a self-help book, called "The Achiever's Journey" for dyslexics (and non-dyslexics) based on my work as a professional mentor. Throughout the book, I am able to share some of the brilliant philosophy my parents passed on to me, which taught me to deal with my dyslexia and dysphasia. It is in part a biography of my life: how I have succeeded with dealing with dyslexia and also my progress in life and in my career. The five-point philosophy identifies personal challenges, provides a plan and ways to implement specific methods of dealing with problems. There are also tools to track, progress and change. In the book I also talk about transcending the mind. This is a when a person (child or adult) draws like a mirror image of their mind. Seeing the end products can provide a valuable insight into how to identify their problems.

Whilst writing my book I discovered many independent organisations that offer help and advice for dyslexics. I desperately do not want the next generation to suffer like myself and my daughter. I shudder to think how many people have suffered with dyslexia in the past and lived without the relevant support and may have never reached their full potential. Luckily enough these organisations are helping more and more dyslexics fulfil their capabilities. I am an international lecturer now and unbelievably an author; something I thought I would never achieve!

So if I can do it, believe me anyone can! Just go for it.

One of the fastest, most affordable ways to make money at home is to start a service business. If you use skills and resources you already have, you can be up and running in a matter of hours.

Here are tips for starting a service business fast.

    1. Use skills you already have from your job, volunteer work or hobby. If you're great with kids, start a daycare service. If you love to bake, start a baking service. If you love to organize and plan, start an event planning service. If you're helpful around the office, start a virtual assistant business. If you're handy around the house, start a home-repair and fix-it business. If you love to decorate, start a home decorating or home staging business. If you like to help people or businesses, start a coaching or consulting service. If you like to connect people to needed resources, start a referral service. Just about any talent or hobby can be turned into a service business.

    2. Use resources you already have. Odds are that if you have the skill, you probably also have the tools and resources you need. Using existing resources saves you money and time.

    3. Find out what the day-to-day tasks are in running your business. Some businesses sound fun or easy, but actually may be tedious. I've always thought being a criminal lawyer would be interesting, but many I talk to say most the time it's research, not courtroom drama. You can learn about what's involved in running your business by participating in groups related to your business idea at Linked-In and Facebook, checking out associations related to your business idea, and networking within your sphere of influence to find people who work in the business you want to start.

    4. Decide what services you'll offer. You can provide a host of services or specialize in one particular area. For example, some virtual assistants only do marketing tasks while others do everything but marketing.

    5. Decide who your market will be. You can have a wide market or focus on a specific group. Using the virtual assistant example again, some VA's work with anyone who needs their services while some VA's work with a specific market such as Realtors.

    6. Determine your service pricing. Some services involve one-time service providing, while others are on-going. Some can be both. Decide what you'll charge for your services. If you're services can be on-going, consider offering a discount to clients who hire you on retainer. Also decide if you'll offer discounts to clients who refer new clients.

    7. Find out if extra training or licenses are needed. Some services such as real estate, finances, personal care (ie hairdresser) and others are regulated by the state and my require passing a test and/or getting an occupational license.

    8. Find your first client fast. You should have a marketing plan, but most successful service business owners I know found their first client through their existing network and get most of their new clients by word-of-mouth.

For many would-be home based entrepreneurs, it's the start-up that stops them from achieving success. While many can work through the process of deciding the business to start, and even creating a plan, the actual launch or initial stages of the start-up create challenges so great, that many quit before they're barely out the gate. The problem is that at some point something will go wrong and budding entrepreneurs need to plan for and be ready to meet the challenges instead of retreating from them. Here are four strategies for surviving your home business start-up.

    1. Have realistic expectations. Bill Gates didn't start Microsoft one day and have his empire the next. Success in a business takes time. Too many people come to the end of their first month with little results and determine that having a home business is impossible. In reality a successful home business takes at least six months to two years to reach a steady, regular positive cash flow. Further, the journey to home business success is often a bumpy one, and home-based entrepreneurs should expect to encounter obstacles and frustrations along the way.

    2. Keep on keepin' on. As already mentioned, stuff happens when building a business. Customers return products and complain. Marketing campaigns fail. Not everything will run smoothly or lead to desired outcomes. This is where the true entrepreneur is born. Success isn't from the achievement, it's from surviving and continuing the journey when everything is falling apart. You need to adopt the attitude that quitting isn't an option and when you run into problems, you need to keep working on your business.

    3. Remember why. Most people don't start a home business because it was their dream to do so. Most start a business to achieve some other goal such as to stay home with children, leave a stressful job or pay off debt. Your reason for starting a home business is crucial to your success. When the going gets tough, the tough remember why they started the journey in the first place. If your reason for starting a home business is big enough, it should motivate you and propel you forward when times get hard.

    4. Evaluate and adjust. One of the biggest challenges to working at home is determining if and when to change tactics. Because many tasks take time to show results, it can be difficult to know if they've failed or just haven't kicked in yet. But if you find that things aren't working, you need to evaluate what's happening. Are you focused on money-generating tactics? Many would-be entrepreneurs are busy, but aren't doing the things that make money. Sometimes money-making actions don't work and you need to figure out why. One way to do this is to test different tactics. For example, if an ad didn't generate leads, run the ad somewhere else or change the headline. The trick is to change only one element of the tactic to determine what aspect isn't working. As you evaluate what's working and what's not, make adjustments to your tactics. Building a business is a process that is always in flux. You need to continually monitor your actions and their results to maximize your success.

Starting a home business is the perfect way to design a career you love and control the amount of money you make. But despite what many work-at-home gurus might have you believe, it's not something you can decide to do today and achieve riches by tomorrow. Even with the best advice, the journey to home business success will be a roller coaster ride filled with ups and downs and sometimes loopty-loos that make you feel a little nauseous. But if you stay the course, focus on your goal, and do the work that needs to be done, success can be yours.

Many people make working at home more difficult than it is. That doesn't mean working at home is easy or not without effort (as the scammers would have you believe). But some people get so bogged down in the details, they never actually get anywhere.

    The Recipe for Success

Working at home is much like baking a cake. You can search for the best cake recipes. Research each item. Purchase items to make your cake. But until you actually mix up the ingredients and stick them in the oven, you won't have a cake.

But that's how many people approach working at home. They are always searching for the best work-at-home opportunity. They research each option. Many even buy stuff for their home office or new work-at-home venture. But they don't actually put it all together to make money.

The secret to Work-At-Home Success is to take action. Yes, the search, research and planning is important, but at some point you need to put what you've learned to action and make money. Do you want a work at home job? Search for a job and submit a resume. Want to start a home business? Get the license and distribute business cards or work your network to find that first customer.

    Rule of 10,000

For many people this first action step (beyond the research) is scary. Worries about what others will think or fear of failure paralyze them. But no one is 100% out the gate. When I was an exchange student in France, my host mother told me that when making crepes, the first one always gets thrown out because it doesn't turn out right. The ones thereafter get better and therefore are used. The same will be true about working at home. The first steps may not turn out very well, but you keep working on it and you get better.

In Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, one indication of success is practice…10,000 hours of practice. Nearly everyone studied who was at the very top of their profession had about 10,000 or practice. Fortunately you don't need 10,000 of practice to make your first buck from home. You may not even need it to make a million. But it is true that the more you do the better you get.

    One Day at a Time

We live in a world with instant gratification. A hundred years ago it took days even weeks to hear from loved ones across the country though mail. Today an email or an instant message connects people in real time. Work-at-home scammers and even gurus will have you believe that in a matter of hours or days you can be raking in money hand over fist. But the reality is, things take time. There is a learning curve to working at home. If you want to make money online you have learn about web sites, internet marketing, keywords, and how to write persuasively. Each takes time to learn much less master.

The problem is that many people give up because the money doesn't come fast enough. In fact, some people never implement anything because it takes too long. But if you want success, you have to start today. If not, in two years you'll still be looking for the fast fix, where as if you do something today, you could be successfully working at home in that time.

What many people fail to recognize that is that little can add up quickly. If you were to get one penny today, two pennies the second day, four pennies the third day and continued to double it each day, on the 31st day you'd get $5,368,709.12 and the sum total for the month would be $10,737,418.24! All that from doubling one piddly little penny.

Your work –at-home effort will be the same. At first it will seem like you're not getting results.

    Day 1: $.01

    Day 2: $.02

    Day 3: $.04

    Day 4: $.08

    Day 5: $.16

    Day 6: $.32

    Day 7: $.64

    Day 8: $1.28

    Day 9: $2.56

    Day 10: $5.12

    Day 11: $10.24

    Day 12: $20.48

    Day 13: $40.96

    Day 14: $81.92

But if you continue to add to your previous effort, day after day, the results will explode.

    Day 15: $163.84

    Day 16: $327.68

    Day 17: $655.36

    Day 18: $1,310.72

    Day 19: $2,621.44

    Day 20: $5,242.88

    Day 21: $10,485.76

    Day 22: $20,971.52

    Day 23: $41,943.04

    Day 24: $83,386.08

    Day 25: $167,772.16

    Day 26: $335,544.32

    Day 27: $671,088.64

    Day 28: $1,342,177.28

    Day 29: $2,684,354.56

    Day 30: $5,368,709.12

So what's the secret to work-at-home success?

    Do something every day.

That's it. Do at least one thing (beyond the research) that moves you towards your goal. Write your resume, today. Start submitting to jobs tomorrow and every day after until hired. Write a business plan today, get your permit tomorrow, and implement your marketing plan the next day and each day after until you've got customers. Do something every day and pretty soon you'll be a success at it.

So…what are you going to do today, that will make you a success tomorrow?

Thanksgiving is upon us, which means the holiday season is in full swing. Christmas, Hanukah and Kwanzaa are right around the corner and with them the expense of food, gifts and travel. If you're like me and are faced with spending hundreds of dollars in the next few weeks because you waited until now to start preparing for the holidays, I have some suggestions for fast and easy ways to make extra money during the holiday season without ever leaving home!

    Sell Your Stuff

Some people call it clutter. Others call it junk. I call it cash. Everyone has thing lying around that house that can be sold. Books, CD's, DVD's, infomercial products, clothes, nick knacks, and more. These things can bring in good money; especially now as other people are looking for just these types of items during the gift giving season.

There are two fast and easy ways to unload your stuff and make quick cash online; Amazon.com's Market Place and eBay. My first stop is always at Amazon.com because of its ease of use particularly for books, CD's or software in good condition. Opening an account is easy. Simply visit Amazon.com and scroll down the page until you see the "Sell Your Stuff" link on the left. Search for your book, CD or other item, or use the ISBN (for books) or UPC's (Universal Product Code) to find the item. Amazon.com will guide you through the process of giving the condition of the item, adding comments about the item, inputting your price, and submitting it for inclusion in its massive online store. Your product shows up right next to the new, full priced item as a "Buy Used" option. Amazon.com does the rest including adding a picture, processing the payment, and direct depositing the money into your account.

Amazon charges you nothing until/unless your item sells. The fee is .99 cents plus a percentage of the sold price and a variable closing fee. Amazon gives you a shipping credit to cover the cost of mailing your item to the buyer.

eBay is another great way to generate income fairly quickly. I use eBay for items that cannot be sold through Amazon.com because it takes more time to list items at eBay. I especially like eBay for my novelty items such as infomercial products or things that I'm not sure how to price. To open an account, visit eBay and click on "Register". Once you are registered, log into your eBay account and click on "Sell".

Like at Amazon.com, there are some items in which you can input the product ID and get a stock picture and information. But you'll always want to write your own details and if your product is better or in worse condition than the stock photo, you'll want to include your own picture. eBay takes you step by step on getting your item listed including adding descriptions, payment options, and shipping information. A great feature offered is the ability to buy and print your postage through eBay's system and PayPal. You can package and ship your sold item without going to the post office. Plus if you're buyer pays you through PayPal, you can have your money direct deposited into your bank account, thereby saving you a trip to cash a check at the bank.

eBay charges you for listing your products whether they sell or not, but it's very reasonable and only once have I not had an item sell. The insertion fee ranges from .20 cents to $4.80 depending on price of the item. eBay offers optional listing features such as "Buy It Now" or "Gallery Listing" for additional fees. The only other required fee is the final value charge which is a 5.25%+ of the sold cost. Shipping costs can be covered by you or passed on to the buyer.

Here are some tips to quickly and easily earn some fast cash through Amazon.com and eBay:

    1) Go through your home and gather all the items that are in decent condition and that you are willing to sell. The best items I have found are non-fiction books, hard back bestsellers, electronics and electronic accessories, software and name brand gizmos for Amazon.com. eBay is great for infomercial products, old eBay items you bought, but don't use, name-brand clothes (especially kids clothing), toys (Lego's are a big hit!), collectables and memorabilia, and novelty items.

    2) When listing, be honest about the condition. You don't want to hurt your selling reputation by not mentioning marks or other faults with the item.

    3) Price items to sell. Your goal is quick cash so consider pricing items lower than the competition. Of course, at eBay, the market will drive the ultimate sale price, but start low and don't put a reserve price (price that must be met for the item to sell). There is some indication that items with a lower starting bid often get higher sales than similar items with a higher starting bid. At Amazon.com, you will be given information on other current used sale prices. I always choose a price that is lower than others. Think about it, given the choice of buying a used book for $10.00 or $9.50, which would you choose?

    4) Finally, once you receive payment for the item, ship it ASAP. Package it so it's safe and secure. Print out the name and address of the buyer and tape it to the package to make sure you don't misspell the address. eBay offers a great feature in which you can print postage right from your computer printer. Stamps.com also offers online postage services to save you a trip to the post office. Make sure you ship to the buyers specifications. If he paid extra for insurance or expedited shipping, make sure you use those services.

    Sell Your Skill

It used to be that you had to go out and get seasonal work or pick up a part-time job to make extra cash. You can still do that, but now you can do it from the comfort of your home. Many companies hire home-based contract workers to help with customer service and manage increased workload during the holidays. These jobs range from customer service and support, bookkeeping, transcribing, writing, public relations work, and more.

These jobs can often be performed around a regular job using a phone and an internet connection. While they may not pay the same as a traditional job, when you factor in the saved time and expenses from not having to commute, the difference is negligible.

To find and get home-based work:

    1) Inventory your skills. Don't just list those skills you have from your regular job. Include any skills you have developed in the pursuit of a hobby, participating in a club, or through volunteer work.

    2) Create a professional resume that you can tailor to specific jobs you find.

    3) Search for work on job related websites such as Craigslist.org (any and all cities not just locally), Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com. Use keywords such as "telecommute", "work at home", and "freelance".

    4) You can also find work by contacting companies in your local area directly and proposing a contract work option. If you point out how hiring you on a contract freelance basis can save the company money over hiring an on-site salaried person, you can often convince an employer to hire you.

    5) One final option is to market your skills to the general public using fliers, drop cards, and classified ads. Can you hang Christmas lights for your neighbors? Can you organize and manage a holiday event such as an office party? Can you help Santa respond to mail? The options are endless. Once you have your idea, simply let everyone in your neighborhood and community know about it.

You do want to be careful about searching for home based jobs online as there are many scams. Some rules to avoiding work-at-home job scams are:

    1) You aren't likely to simply sign up and have a job. Work-at-home jobs, like regular jobs require you to go through an application process.

    2) Legitimate jobs will never ask for money…ever! Any company asking for money to cover its costs, insure you're serious or whatever dumb excuse it gives is scamming you.

    3) Never work with a company that wants you to use your own bank account to help process payments. You could lose thousands of dollars and your bank privileges by falling for this scam.

This week I got a call from someone who indicated that he was doing everything that I and other work-at-home coaches had suggested he do to find a work-at-home job, but so far he wasn't getting results. I could hear the frustration in his voice, and it brought me back to when I struggled to work-at-home and met with frustration and disappointment as well. Indeed, frustration and disappointment are two of the biggest hurdles struggling work-at-home wannabes face. But there are some things you can do to help deal with the challenges in trying to work-at-home.

    1) Have realistic expectations: We live in aa society focused on instant gratification, but the odds of deciding to work at home today and actually doing it tomorrow are slim. Depending on what you choose to do, it can take 6 months to 2 years to create a work-at-home income. Not only do you need to be realistic about the time frame in reaching work-at-home success, but you also need to choose realistic methods. People don't pay the mortgage doing surveys or reading email, neither do they simply sign up for something and make money. Working at home takes work. Lots of it!

    2) Do your research: The best way to develop a realistic expectation related to working at home is to educate yourself about telecommuting and home business. Research will teach you what it takes and how long it takes to really work at home, help you avoid scams, and keep you focused on the right types of activities.

    3) Look for opportunities that fit your skills and interests: Too many people look for the fast, quick buck and end up wasting time and money as these opportunities almost always turn out to be scams or deceptive schemes. Instead, make a list of all your skills, experiences, interests and hobbies, and search for jobs or home business ideas that fit what you know how to do. You're more likely to be successful pursuing your passion than the money.

    4) Evaluate your efforts: If you aren't getting results from a job search, have someone look over your resume, and make sure you are qualified to do the job. If you are trying to build a home business, evaluate your marketing methods to see what's not working.

    5) Keep on keeping on: I haven't met anyone that hasn't spent a great deal of time and effort to work at home. The one thing that separates them from others who aren't successful is that they never gave up. They kept on learning about working at home, searching and applying for the right opportunities, and evaluating their efforts until they finally reach their goal.

There is a saying about the only certainties in life are taxes and death. In the work-at-home world, there are some certainties as well and those are that you'll be frustrated and disappointed. But these are temporary if you are able to manage the difficult times and forge ahead towards your goal.

Through patience and consistency, taming and handling a Gerbil can be accomplished quite easily.

Here are a few tips on the best methods for handling Gerbils:

The most recommended method of carrying a gerbil is to gently secure it in the palm of your hand. You can hold the loose skin on the back of the neck to prevent the gerbil from getting away. This is a safe method. However, I prefer to keep a hand on top of my gerbils and leave an opening so the gerbil can see out.

Still not comfortable handling your gerbil. Try this, use a cup or can on it's side and allow the gerbil to walk into it. Once inside, tip the cup or can up and cover the top. Gerbils are good jumpers. Never pick up a gerbil by it's tail!

Taming you gerbil is going to take time and patience. Once you are able to handle your gerbil, a whole new relationship takes form between you and your gerbil.

Keep these tips in mind when you are ready to start working with your gerbil.

Patience. This is the key ingredient to your success. Remember that your gerbils are going to be in a new home with totally new surroundings. That is going to make them nervous. Give them time to adjust. Keep maintenance to a minimum. Always speak softly and move slowly the first few days after your gerbils arrival.

After your gerbil has settled in, start spending more time around the cage. Offer a chew stick or another treat when they approach the cage bars. This will allow the gerbil to get used to your scent and associate you as a positive presence.

Once you have you gerbil eating out of your hand, you will want to progress to the gerbil climbing on top of your hand to retrieve the treat. Once your gerbil will climb your hand, the next step is to start tickling it's sides and scratching the back of it's head. Scratching behind the head imitates their natural grooming techniques.

    > Remember to handle your gerbils regularly to keep them socialized. Active and curious by nature, your gerbil will appreciate any time it receives outside it's cage. One of the best small animal toys I have purchased is the hamster exercise ball. The more exercise your gerbils receive during the day, the more they will sleep at night and the more you will sleep also.

Gerbils are social creatures and it is recommended to keep more than one gerbil. Living alone in a cage is likely to stress a single gerbil and therefore it may be more difficult to tame. Starting out with a small group of young gerbils would be the ideal situation. Just remember to be patient and consistent. Use treats for the positive re-enforcement and make sure your gerbil is getting plenty of exercise.

Keeping your pet safe is the number one goal for all pet owners. Here is simple plan to keep your pet happy and healthy. Typically there are only 3 hazard areas in your home that you have direct control over. These areas of concern are food, containment and pests. In this article, we will show what your pet should avoid in order to live long and prosper.

    Harmful Food:

Believe it or not, there are quite a lot of foods that we eat that is harmful to your pet. The most notorious culprit would be chocolate. Chocolate can be extremely harmful to your dog and can even result in serious heart problems and death. It is also important to keep your pet away from things like garlic and onions as these foods can do serious damage to a dogs' liver. Mushrooms have also been shown to cause significant internal injuries. So be careful the next time you cook because your pooch may lick up spilled food before you can get to it.

    Pet Containment:

When your pet is not adequately contained there can be several problems. The most dangerous situation to avoid is cars, especially if you have a primarily inside dog or a dog that likes to chase cars. Often time an inside dog isn't fully aware of the consequences of a car; they just have not been around them long enough. On the other hand, a dog that chases cars increases the likely hood of getting run over 10 fold. The most affordable solution for this problem is an invisible fence. You could also purchase a expensive above ground fence or consistently have your pet on a leash.

    Fleas and Ticks:

Fleas and ticks are much more than tiny, little pests. These insects can also cause skin infections or Lymes Disease that affects the health and the appearance of your cat or dog. Lymes disease, normally carried by deer ticks, can be a deadly disease and requires serious attention. Untreated flea infestation can lead to serious skin problems and cause your pet hours of pain. Luckily, these pests are fairly easy to treat and only require monthly applications of medicine.

Keeping your pet safe is pretty easy work if you take the right precautions. If you follow our guidelines you should be able to keep your dog or cat out of harms way. It is important not to neglect these main areas of protection as your pet has certain parental needs. Keep your pet healthy and they will reward you with years of unconditional love.

When considering a life assurance plan to provide financial security for family survivors in the event of death, many people make the mistake of going with the cheapest coverage. Certainly there are low cost products available, but it is more important for customers to find the right coverage for their circumstances.

There are many types of coverage, with varying terms and benefits. People can compare life assurance options fairly efficiently using an online broker or insurance specialist. Many sites offer searchable databases or the ability to narrow down options. This efficient search process enables customers to learn quickly what life plans meet their needs and what the lowest premiums are to get the appropriate plan.

In order to effectively compare life assurance plans through an online specialist, customers need to be prepared to fill out brief questionnaires and health surveys. Some insurance policies can be obtained simply from data provided by the customer. Other policies and providers require health screenings, such as blood tests, blood pressure checks, pulse rate, and more. By providing thorough and accurate data using an online form, customers ensure a more accurate comparison of policy types, rates, and terms that are available to them.

Brokers specialize in helping customers find the best insurance carrier and plan to meet their needs. They need help from the insurance prospect, however. Brokers do not know the personal history and health assessment of prospects, but given this information, they can usually track down the right product at the lowest available cost.

Another advantage that a broker provides is their knowledge of the insurance market place. Whereas customers do not know about many of the nuances, deceptions, restrictions, and limitations of life insurance policies, brokers to. They are usually aware of important terms that can affect potential benefits and payouts. They can also usually spot red flags or problems that might prevent the likelihood of a hassle-free payout on the event of death of the covered individual.

Sometimes life insurance customers make the wrong choice. They select a provider that does not offer account services and information the customer wants, or the customer realizes the protection is not right. Sometimes, customers' life situations change to the point that new coverage types and terms are needed to ensure proper protection. In other words, it is not just new policy seekers that compare insurances. Some customers are looking for new coverage or add-on coverage.

Insurance specialists are an invaluable resource for those looking to compare life assurance products and carriers. For individuals wanting to provide the best protection for their families, getting expert advice is necessary. Thinking about the hundreds of thousands or millions of pounds at risk for a poorly conceived plan or a plan that does not fit the individual, it does not make sense not to do a thorough comparison of products and insurers. Providing the right types and right amount of benefits to survivors at the point of death is one of the biggest decisions many people make during life.

Many motorists believe the best car insurance quotes are those that take basic data provided by the customer and turn it into a low cost coverage option. The best car insurance quotes, however, or those that offer the greatest value to an individual customers, based on his or her needs and unique situation. Quotes should outline all relevant insurance features and corresponding rates, so customers can see what their specific coverage features are and the associated costs of each.

Along with outlining the key features, service, and costs of insurance options, good car insurance quotes should also address any coverage limitations, restrictions, premiums, extra fees, or other specific items that affect the coverage or claims. Ethically, openly disclose service features are more appropriate. Insurers should not attempt to hide away important aspects of their products. While this may lead to insurance sales, it will cause long-term problems associated with unhappy customers and their negative marketing.

Customers have great control over the quality of the motor insurance quotes they receive. The best car insurance quotes are often obtained by customers who share the most accurate, honest, and open data with insurance brokers. Whether going to a branch, calling on the phone, or looking online, customers that present that most accurate depiction of their driving habits and individual circumstances get the best results. Brokers are experts on insurance products and features, but are not experts on their customers' background. Customers that share good information are more likely to benefit from the expertise and willingness of brokers.

Brokers need to know about a driver's situation to help them find the best value. Brokers are more likely to be aware of specific discount programs or unique features that might apply to a customer's situation. They can combine their expertise with good customer knowledge to provide the most accurate quotes and the best product options for the customer to consider.

While drivers often focus on the best cost savings strategies when buying car insurance, insurance specialists realize the unique products that would be useful for a given driver. Brokers certainly want to help customers save money, but they also want them to be well covered. Liability and collision coverage are common. Some drivers, though, may need protection for passengers or property they carry. Drivers they regularly carry expensive items might be disappointed if an item breaks and it is not covered by a personal property insurance component.

Other aspects of coverage that affects insurance costs include payment methods for premiums and claims processes. Some companies offer discounts to drivers for payment all at once or for those who process claims in a way that is convenient for the insurer. If this savings is crucial to the customer, that is okay, but some customers may be better off using period payment plans or having less restrictive processing options. This is why the best car insurance quotes help customers to the benefits of balancing product features with low costs to create the appropriate value. Insurance should not just be cheap.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Online car insurance offers customers the benefit of gaining access to information and an experienced broker by using a web site. Rather than sorting through directories and listings with potentially hundreds of insurance providers, an online motor insurance entity creates a virtual one-stop shop with resources and information for motorists.

Lists of tips and features to watch out for are commonly provided by online car insurance sites. Many note specific money savings or benefits based suggestions on how customers can get the most value from the appropriate insurance product. Insurance specialists are helpful by helping customers narrow in on the right products at the right price.

Another benefit, along with convenience and product expertise, that is available through an online car insurance site is the opportunity for a product discount. Many online sites offer great discounts to customers who buy online. It is common for sites to offer 10 to 15% promotions or ongoing discounts when customers buy online. Brokers prefer this method of transacting because it is efficient for them to offer information and share products online.

Part of the convenience of online car insurance is that customers can quickly get a quote that outlines product features and price. Sites usually have a form available for customers to respond to basic contact information and product needs that assist the broker in putting together a targeted products and price recommendation.

Product selection is not the only advantage of finding motor insurance online. Service and support are also great advantages for customers. Many sites offer online tools and account overviews so that customers can review coverage information, such as claims, balances, and the like.

Many sites that offer online vehicle insurance also provide other insurance products. These sites usually offer discounts for multiple product purchases on top of online purchase discounts. This means that customers that buy more than one type of product can get greater value from each because of the bundling discounts. This bundling opportunity also provides relationship benefits and a level of comfort that gives the customer some peace of mind.

Ultimately, the services provided to the customer should be similar, regardless of where the insurance is purchased. However, customer service is delivered before, during, and after a purchase. This is what makes online motorist coverage unique. By delivering information and resources conveniently, making product review and purchases efficient, and delivering great resources and service to customers, online sites can be of great benefit to the market.

Online car insurance should help make the insurance and service process less stressful for motorists. Finding good value insurance and getting effective service are important considerations for drivers. Customers want a hassle-free experience in finding the best insurance and do not want the stress of complicated service and delivery of insurance benefits. A specialized broker can be of great help with both of these. They help first, by helping with the selection of the appropriate product at the best price available. They can also help the customer find a provider that will follow through on product and service promises.

For many stressed motorists, specialized car insurance brokers can be a great help in finding the right car insurance product at the right price. A broker helps customers find the right service product by obtaining needed information from the customer that helps hone in on the right solution. Brokers are experts on available products and services and can make the process of obtaining good insurance easier for the customer.

The first step in the decision making process when working with car insurance brokers is for the motorist to provide useful information. Brokers will first want to know some basic information about customers, including name, address, age, income, and similar background data. This information is necessary for use in contacting the customer and in better understanding the customer's situation. The more details the broker has on the customer, the easier it is for them to empathize with the customer's needs.

Along with basic contact information, the broker also will need to know some information about the customer's driving habits and product needs. They usually collect this information through an online, phone, or in-person survey. Again, having a good idea of what the customers driving habits and service requirements are can help in narrowing in on the appropriate provider and product. This is a crucial part of the unique benefits provider by a broker. Customers often are not familiar with available features of insurance products and services and sharing information with car insurance brokers puts customer knowledge into the hands of those that do have expertise.

The survey completed by the customer is often called a quote request. Thus, the response from the broker is usually a quote that outlines various features of recommend insurance alternatives. Brokers examine the data provided and can efficiently narrow in on a few options. Sometimes brokers will provide multiple requests that outline various service options at different price points. This allows the customer to ultimately select the most appropriate solution for their given driving situation.

The most effective car insurance brokers are those that recognize the necessity for back and forth communication. The customer is the one who knows exactly what benefits they need from insurance. They need the broker to help find the right products to meet those needs, within the budget parameters. Brokers know the products and services but need the customer to communicate what they are looking for to aid in making the best recommendations or presenting the best options.

Car insurance brokers should be advocates for their customers. Along with helping to select the best insurance option, a customer-oriented broker helps fight for the customer when disputes or claim dilemmas come about. Many customers turn to their brokers when they feel unable to communicate with their insurance carriers. They believe their brokers helped them connect with the insurance provider and expect brokers to be able to help because of their relationships with both parties. Brokers vary in how literally they take this advocate role, but all realize many customer needs is crucial to their success.

Car insurance deals are not just the cheapest insurance protections products. A deal includes a comparison of benefits with the cost to acquire those benefits. For many customers, low cost car insurance is inherently a good deal, at least until they need to make a claim and realize their coverage is not good enough. A good deal must have a good balance of effective product features and services and a reasonable cost.

A good car insurance quote should detail for customers the features of the product, including all key restrictions, limitations, or unique factors, as well as the cost breakdown. Again, finding a good quality insurer that follow through on service commitments is an important consideration with regard to good value.

Saving money definitely is an important component of getting good car insurance deals. There are many common discounts offered by many insurers. Some of these are well known by drivers. Others are not as commonly recognized. One of the best ways to get good motor insurance deals is to develop a good driving record and establish a good safety history. Insurance providers look at the risk involved in providing insurance and the safest drivers will get the best deals.

Drivers can also get sometimes get discounts for taking qualified defensive driving courses or others that shows an advanced knowledge of safe driving. Other discounts are often available for students, senior citizens, or other specified groups of people. Couples can also save money by getting a joint account or having multiple insurance protections form the same provider. While these are all driver based, there are also several vehicle-based discounts.

Along with considering the risk of drivers, the best car insurance deals often take into account characteristics of the vehicle being insured. Just as there is variance in the safe driving qualities of motorists, there is variance in the safety features of vehicles. In accidents, it is likely impossible to prevent some damage to the vehicle, but vehicles with excellent passenger safety traits, such as dual airbags and anti-lock brakes, can prevent some or all bodily harm and personal property damage. These preventions are especially important as injury or death can obviously be very costly.

Car utility is also an important consideration to insurance providers. The best vehicle insurance deals are likely offered to drivers operating vehicles in less risky pursuits and in less risky areas. For instance, rural drivers are generally safer than urban. Mileage traveled to and from work is also considered. The longer the drive and the more traffic along the route, the more risky the insurance. Long commutes in high traffic, accident prone areas often do not find as good of an opportunity for a discount.

Car insurance deals are extremely important for economically savvy drivers. Drivers must remember the features and services tied to the insurance are as important to the deal as price savings and discounts. There are great way to save money on great packages, simply by taking advantage of discounts based on elements already a part of the driver's behavior and driving practice.

Brits rely on motor insurance to cover them in the event of an accident or other situation with their vehicle. The insurance generally provides financial protection in the event of collisions or general liability related to accidents. While these are the basic features of car insurance protection, there are many features available to drivers, depending on their driving habits, vehicles, and utility. Insurance specialists can be of great help to motorists as they look to find the best value insurance plan that provides adequate benefits and services at the best available costs.

Motor insurance should not be stressful to find. Accidents or other car related problems can be stressful enough, let alone having to deal with poor or inadequate insurance protection or services. An insurance broker can be quite useful in lining up the most appropriate insurance products for each particular driver's situation and helping advocated for drivers in claims situations.

Car insurance, like other insurance products is intended to provide peace of mind and financial protection to motorists. Some motorists simply need protection for everyday travel, such as to and from work. Other drivers may need protection for unique driving situations, such as business vehicle protection, bike protection, or other vehicle utilities. Although motorists understand there are differences in protection plans, they often count on caring and knowledgeable insurance specialists to match up their needs with the best available protection plans and prices.

There are many things for customers to consider when selecting the right motor insurance. Along with exploring the many unique features offered by protection products, they must also consider the services, claims support, payment and communication methods available from a provider. With the stress that comes from being in a collision or accident, drivers should not have to deal with another hassle by having difficulty communicating with or having claims processed by their insurance carrier.

Insurance brokers can often be helpful in selecting the best products and providers for their customers. Vehicle insurance specialists can advocate for their customers in situations where claims arise. They are also familiar with the services of various carriers just as they are with the products and protections they offer. Knowledgeable brokers can be a great resource for customers trying to find particular product features at specific price points.

Automobile insurance is not just a monthly expense as many drivers perceive it to be. Drivers that have not faced an accident or challenging claims situation tend to take for granted the benefits provided by good insurance coverage. Those who have not experienced driving incidences might view insurance as simply a monthly expense to be controlled.

These drivers are the ones who look for the lowest cost motor insurance coverage, typically, without taking into account their needs. As with most insurance protection, ideally, claims are never needed and no accidents happen. Some customers think of this as a waste of insurance premiums. The reality is, of course, that buying insurance is like buying peace of mind. If it's needed, it is there.

Finding the best car insurance can be difficult for customers that do not know how to get the best information and where to find the best product options. The advantage for drivers now is that much of the motor insurance search can be completed online using a motor insurance specialist site. Many drivers believe the best auto insurance is always the cheapest. This is definitely not the case. The best auto insurance varies from driver to driver, depending on their specific coverage needs. A good search looks at the benefits of various coverage features, as well as the price options.

Online searches are much more efficient than searches using print directories or other more cumbersome search methods. Online specialists usually have searchable databases that allow motorists to efficiently explore product and service types, as well as price points. Drives can sometimes find unique discounts or premium protection features much more quickly than they could through one by one searches.

Brokers or insurance specialists are great resources in the motor insurance search process. Customers know the most about their particular driving habits and protection needs, but must rely on brokers to help them efficiently pinpoint products that match up the best with these particular needs. A broker can narrow down product options by features and price points much more quickly than an individual could. Brokers have expertise in this area and are more intuitively aware of the various features and discounts that might appeal to certain motorists.

A thorough motor insurance search will often turn up unexpected premium services and discounts for drivers. By avoiding the temptation to buy the first low cost option that comes up, motorists can find coverage features that might be especially useful based on their driving practices and vehicles. Although finding a reasonable premium cost is important to a good insurance deal, the right benefits can make the difference between an especially stressful claims experience, and one that counters the negative effects of an accident.

Insurance carriers vary greatly in their products, services, and dedication to helping customers through claims processing. Brokers or specialists can be a great ally when finding the right carrier or in managing a challenging situation with one. Brokers often play the role of advocate for their customers as part of their support services.

A motor insurance search is about finding peace of mind that comes with having great insurance protection at a modest monthly premium cost. Insurance is not something that regularly, if ever, pays tangible dividends. In fact, most people would agree that it is better to never receive the product benefits tied to a protection plan. The greatest benefits are intangible.

Having the right protection at a fair price gives great security to a driver who knows that at any time, while driving, something uncontrollable could happen. Although insurance cannot prevent accidents, injury, or vehicle damage, it can help alleviate some of the pain and stress caused by them. This is why drivers should be thorough and diligent when exploring their protection options.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Car insurance protection continues to get more and more tailored to individual customers. By looking at the customized needs of various target markets, insurance specialists have looked to develop specific programs more appealing to markets. Womens car insurance is a great example of customized insurance coverage that recognizes the unique needs of women, as well as the qualities they offer as drivers. Many companies now have customized protection plans tailored for women, which emphasize the strengths of women drivers.

Although men and the media often like to perpetuate the notion that women drivers are worse than men, statistics strongly dispute this notion. In fact, not only do women tend to have fewer accidents, their accidents are usually less damaging to vehicle and person, which is better for insurance providers. Simply by being safer, women offer a less risky customer group to insurance carriers. Brokers can help women find unique protection plans with lower premiums based on their stereotypically safer driving traits.

Another reason women offer a safer coverage group is that they drive shorter distances, on average. This may be based on a desire by women for shorter commutes for work or the greater likelihood that women are still the stay at home parent in a one-income home. Insurers like shorter driving distances because they offer less distance and potentially for getting into an accident.

Women drivers also drive slower than men, according to surveys and research. Again, the slower the driver, the more likely they are to react to troubling situations and to avoid aggressive driving. Even though driving slow does not prevent all accidents, since women are more likely to drive slowly, they are better equipped to maneuver around rough patches in the road.

Female drivers also have a much lower rate of convictions for driving while intoxicated. Like the other statistics noted, this factor, by definition, puts women at less risk as a group for accidents caused by the influence of alcohol. Insurers like to know that claims will not be filed because a motorist made a poor decision behind the wheel. This is another great reason behind the increased popularity of womens car insurance.

All of the factors mentioned have lead to a greater availability of womens car insurance products customized for women. Insurers have determined that based on their overall unique safety statistics, women should have access to more economic insurance options. There is no question that some women are more of a safety risk than others, but all women can benefit from the overall performance of drivers in their market segment. Other unique benefits and prices are available to other markets with similarly strong driving abilities or traits in various settings.

Women should embrace the opportunity they have to find better insurance rates and customized coverage options. Ultimately, each driver must maintain a good driving record to keep low priced service. Womens car insurance is a great starting point for women. To men, the low price protection plans available to women may seem unfair, but to insurance providers, they seem practical and sound as a business move.

For many drivers, finding the lowest cost car insurance rates is the ideal scenario for getting a good deal on motor insurance coverage. Premium costs definitely impact the value of insurance coverage, but the benefits of coverage also affect the quality of protection. Comparing rates on products with similar features is a great way for drivers to evaluate various products. Brokers or insurance specialists can be a great resource in narrowing down coverage options that offer the best ratio of quality protection to rates.

One of the best ways for driver to get the best car insurance rates is to shop around for customized insurance products or unique discounts that lower rates. Many companies offer insurance products tailored to market segments that have special characteristics. For instance, many insurance providers offer lower cost insurance for women based on statistics that show women are less risky and less expensive to cover. Other providers offer discounts for individuals with safe driving records or good student performance.

Some brokers or insurance specialists offer discounts for online purchases. Others offer multiple product discounts in order to grow relationships with existing insurance customers. These are simple business discounts and barely scratch the service of opportunities for better car insurance rates. Online quotes are economical for brokers to provide and they use discounts to acquire customers.

Other discounts are available based on unique driver situations. For instance, most providers offer discounts to couples or cohabitants who get joint insurance protection. Most providers find it less risky to have couples covered by one plan than by two separate plans. This makes them more interested in providing an incentive for couples to combine coverage.

Ultimately, discounts are a way for providers to attract less risky customers and to reward customers that demonstrate a solid driving potential. While many of the discounts are based on the driver, others are based on the vehicles they drive. Just as drivers can possess safe driving traits, vehicles can possess features that make them safer as well.

Safe vehicle features cannot prevent accidents, but they can lead to better car insurance rates if they reduce the prospect of bodily harm or lower the likelihood of a damaging accident. Anti-lock brakes, for instance, can prevent crashes and reduce impact of unavoidable collisions. Air bags can soften the blow to people involved in accidents, which can greatly reduced healthcare costs associated with accidents. Injuries can be costly to treat and insurers are happy to know that drivers are reducing their risk of severe injury by driving a car with advanced safety features.

Car insurance rates have some basic costs tied to the standard protection features. Collision and liability protection have some basic costs. However, rates are somewhat dependent on unique features sought by the driver or customized prices based on his or her market segment. Comparing product features with associated rates is a great way for customers to find the right insurance coverage with the best value. A great rate for one driver might not be as great for another.

Life assurance is insurance protection purchased in which the insured individual's death results in payout of benefiting to survivors identified as beneficiaries of the policy. There are several types of life insurance, but the most common is term life insurance or coverage. Term insurance provides for payout of a lump sum upon death of the insured during the specified term of the insurance.

Other types of life assurance include mortgage protection. With this type, the insurer pays of the balance of the covered individual's mortgage in the event death occurs during the covered period and fits within the stated payment parameters. Although more costly to obtain, there are some insurance policies available to individuals struggling with certain illnesses or health situations.

Terms of coverage, along with premium rates, are an important consideration in selecting the appropriate policy. Insurance specialists are a great resource for life insurance customers. Specialists are familiar with the various types of coverage, unique product features, terms, restrictions, and limitations, and the lowest costs. Along with the policy and payment terms, some insurance protections require up front questionnaires and health checks. These are an attempt by the insurer to determine the risk of providing life insurance based on the likelihood of payout. This health risk assessment has a huge affect on premium costs.

Many brokers and specialists are familiar with low cost policies that provide the necessary benefits for an individual customer's situation. It might take a customer along time to find a low cost product for an individual that meets the needs they are looking to meet. However, a broker can get information from a survey about the prospect, including key data that affects premium costs, and provided recommended options.

Specialists are also familiar with common discounts for life insurance policies. Age is often a key component in life insurance terms and premiums. Younger covered people usually receive better rates as they are farther away from death, according to life expectancy. Non-smoker discounts are also common with life assurance policies as smoking is widely considered to be life-shortening. Alcohol consumption behavior is also a factor considered as heavy alcohol consumption is a risk factor.

Certain occupations may be targeted for discounts as well. Some jobs are thought to be less dangerous, and less damaging to ones health over time. Occupations that have a high rate of stress and stress related health problems might lead to higher premiums and more restrictive payout terms.

Insurance brokers see themselves as advocates for consumers. Knowledgeable specialists can help customers find plans that provide high quality service and have a reputation for hassle-free payout in the event of death. The purpose of life assurance is to provide financial security to survivors in the event of death. While low cost premiums are important, covered individuals also want to have the right amount of coverage. The longer they have to live, the more money they might want to provide for their family. Heads of households want to be sure to take care of their family's needs if they are no longer around to provide income and security.

While of course tornado damage could mainly be to the outer shell of your home when it comes to flood damage rising water can severely destroy the possessions in your home along with damaging the outer.

An specialist home insurance broker will be able to search the buildings and contents marketplace around on your behalf to find you the cheapest premiums for adequate cover. It is essential that you do look around for the best deals on buildings and contents insurance and if you want to scour the entire UK marketplace for the cover then going online with a specialist broker and letting them shop around on your behalf is the best way to go. Car insurance for women can work out a lot cheaper and this can be especially so if you go with a specialist broker and allow them to make comparisons with some of the top UK insurance providers. By doing so it means that you will get a through search made on your behalf and be assured of getting the best deal possible.

While many insurance providers have now turned to offering cheaper insurance for lady drivers because they were claimed to have been better drivers than men, this was still hotly contested. However in October 2001 women drivers did indeed win the right to be called better motorists after the Advertising Standards Agency were called in after complaints regarding the advertising of women's car insurance on TV. The ASA regulate advertising and investigated claims of women actually being the better driver. Following the investigation it was proved that women were overall better drivers than their male counterparts and the regulating body ruled that the claims were accurate and fair.

From here women's specialist car insurance firms sprang up even more and went from strength to strength, although it has to be said that the reason women were deemed as being better drivers was based on the fact that women make far fewer claims, drive smaller more sedate cars and are seen as more careful drivers. Men on the other hand were proven in a study to take more risks than women drivers, drive faster and break the law more often.

It is essential when looking for cheap car insurance for women that you do get the cover you need, when it comes to taking out insurance there are three main types, fully comprehensive which is the dearest type of cover, third party fire and theft and third party only which is the cheapest type of cover. If you need information on which type of car insurance would be most suitable for your needs then again the specialist broker's website will have all the information needed for you to be able to make the right choice. A good specialist broker's website will offer articles, tips and advice on all aspects of car insurance including safety tips for women drivers along with additional insurance that could be beneficial to women drivers.

However whether women drivers do make the better drivers is still going to be considered for some time and the argument will continue, the fact is that women drivers can get the better deals when it comes to taking out car insurance for women.

Along with getting cheaper premiums for the cover there are many extras which can be used as an enticement to take out the cover, handbag and breakdown cover are two of the most common used. If you want the cheapest deals and premiums on lady drivers then do not look around for yourself but take the advice and experience that a specialist broker can offer and allow them to shop around on your behalf and deliver quotes to you.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Cheap car insurance can be found by going with an online specialist broker and allowing them to search the marketplace on your behalf, however cheap insurance could soon be a thing of the past after a startling survey recently conducted revealed that millions of drivers are risking having to claim on their insurance because of an accident caused by them falling asleep behind the wheel of their car.

In September 2007 one of the leading breakdown services together with road safety charity Brake announced that over 2 million motorists are thought to nod off whilst being behind the wheel. Many of the motorists asked admitted that they relied on infective methods to help them keep awake while making long journeys. A startling 78% of those questioned relied on cracking the widow of their car open to let some air in or listening to music as aids to keep the awake rather than pulling over and taking a short nap.

Good advice to follow when making a long car journey is to get a good nights sleep the night before, be aware of the dangers that just nodding off or dozing for even a second can have on not only you but also other drivers and to take a break every couple of hours and if needed pull over and take a quick nap.

Claims on car insurance are one of the things that can put the cost of car insurance up, if these results are true then millions are risking suffering an accident due to falling asleep at the wheel which could see premiums for cheap car insurance rise drastically. If you want the best deal on your insurance then there are many things you can do besides making sure you do not asleep, making sure you have fitted car alarms, have your windows etched, installing steering wheel locks and parking in a garage instead of on the street are just some of the ways.

The specialist broker will be able to gain access to the top UK insurance providers which mean that you can ensure that they will be able to find you cheap car insurance while at the same time giving you advice by way of hints and tips on reducing your insurance. Almost all specialist brokers will have a FAQ page which will clearly explain the types of car insurance so you are able to determine which is most suitable for your needs, the three types are fully comprehensive, which is the most expensive of the three, third party fire and theft and third party only which is the cheapest insurance you can take out.

If in doubt then take the advice that a specialist can give regarding which type would be most suitable and always read the small print of any insurance policy you are considering before buying. The small print will tell you how much the cover will cost in total, what is included in your insurance policy and what the premiums will be each month if you choose to pay for it in instalments.

No you have not read that wrong and no mistake has been made when writing, if you went for a drive on Monday the 27th then you could have been glad you had taken out discount car insurance. This is because it seems that Monday the 27th has overtaken Friday the 13th when it comes to car accidents.

Studies from Budget Insurance have shown that more car accidents occur on Monday the 27th than on Friday the 13th, According to recent research, 5% more claims on insurance were made on the 27th of February and March in 2006 which both fell of course on a Monday. Perhaps even more surprising was the revelation that more accidents occurred in car parks on this particular day than any other and which resulted in insurance claims being made. Another fact involving this date is the fact that accidents have occurred through motorists swerving to avoid hitting an animal. Scientists of course say they think they might know the answer, as Monday is the first day of the week motorists are anxious and distracted when it comes to facing a new week. When it comes to the 27th this is the day that many have bills to pay such as mortgage, loan or credit card bills.

Whether any credit should be given to this is anyone's guess, however statistics do not lie, regardless car insurance is a necessity and finding discount car insurance even more so if you want to have the protection that insurance gives while at the same time making savings.

The best way to insure you get the cheapest insurance and deal is to out your search into the hands of a specialist broker, the broker has the experience to shop around on your behalf and are able to search through the entire UK marketplace so that you get the cheapest car insurance possible.

However this is the dearest type of insurance. Third party fire and theft is cheaper and will payout against damage for the other person's car and fire and theft and is a lot cheaper to take out than fully comp.

When it comes to determining what type of car insurance you need for your circumstances the specialist can help here also, they offer a vast amount of information relating to the different types of car insurance and how you can make great savings by knocking down the premiums for the cover. While you can make great savings by taking out discount car insurance with the help of a broker there are many things you can do for yourself and the information found on the brokers site will help you make even more savings.

By allowing an online car insurance broker to complete a car insurance search on your behalf throughout the entire car insurance marketplace, you can get the cheapest deal possible and the best quote, however by doing so you will not only save money and be driving your car legally on the roads, but you will also not be at risk of having your car seized through not having car insurance.

Seizing cars is the latest step to get uninsured card drivers off the road, police in certain areas of the UK have been cracking down by seizing cars if it is found that the driver has not got an insurance policy to drive the car. Since the operation came into force it has already met with great success and involves some of the latest technology, which is number plate recognition, this system can now show police instantly which cars have not got insurance and then they are immediately seized and taken off the road by officers.

The system has not only been used in and about town but also on Britain's motorways too, just in Lancashire and within one 8 hour shift police stopped and seized a total of 12 uninsured vehicles, which the owner has to fork out great expense to get back including fixed penalty fines and towing fees and of course then having to concede and take out car insurance.

With car insurance being able to be got cheaply it is clearly not worth the risk of attempting to fool the police and of course the technology of today. A specialist broker will always be able to get the cheapest car insurance by allowing them to conduct a car insurance search on your behalf and then deliver the cheapest quotes in the shortest time possible.

While using the services of a specialist broker is the cheapest way to get your car insurance, the type of insurance you choose to take will reflect in the cost of the cover. If you want to take out fully comprehensive car insurance which gives the most complete cover and will cover your car and the other if you should be involved in an accident along with giving cover for passengers and other extras. Third party fire and theft will give you cover if your car should get stolen, if it should be damaged through fire and will cover damage to the other party if you are involved in an accident. Third party only will cover damage to the other party only and is the cheapest type of insurance available.

Other ways you can make savings when taking out car insurance is to make sure that you have the latest security measures installed on your car such as steering locks, etched windows, and alarms or tracking devices. The specialist will be able to not only conduct a car insurance search so you are able to make great savings but will also be able to give you all the advice, information, hints and tips needed to determine which type of cover is the most suitable for your needs before conducting the search.

By going with a specialist broker online you can get the best deal possible when it comes to buying your home insurance. The cost of the insurance can vary greatly as can the actual policies and buying the cover online offers many advantages, one of them being that you are to get an overview of the insurance quotes that are available and are able to get all the information you need regarding the cover.

Going with a specialist broker is by far the most sensible way to choose adequate cover and you have the advantage of being able to compare the whole of the insurance market which means that you know without a doubt that you have the best deal possible. Any type of insurance policy has exclusions and terms and conditions and it is essential you understand them before you take out the cover, by going with an online specialist broker you have the best possible chance of finding answers to any questions you might have regarding the cover and access to the key facts of any policy you are considering.

Almost all good specialist broker websites will have helpful information relating to home insurance, these come by the way of FAQ pages, hints and tips of what to look for when getting the best deal and articles relating to the cover. With their being many different factors to consider when looking for cover it is essential that you do take the time to read this information, otherwise you could be left without enough cover and not having the deal you thought you had.

You should always beware of what seems to be too good to be true insurance, while you can get the cheapest deals for your insurance by going online with the specialist broker rushing into buying cover that is the cheapest could be a huge mistake. The majority of very cheap policies give only the very basic cover and often leave the homeowner under insured, which they do not realize until it comes to making a claim.

It is essential when taking out cover that you have taken your time when it comes to estimating how much cover you need for your home, it can be surprising how much the little items add up to and making an inventory of your possessions before reaching a sum you need to insure for is essential. When taking an inventory people do not realize for example to take into account such items as those in the drawers of the kitchen cupboards, kitchen items and utensils can add up, the clothes in your wardrobe all add up too so when making an inventory remember to take your time and do not leave any stone unturned.

Once you have determined how much home insurance you need then go online with the specialist broker as they are able to find you the best deals on your cover while at the same time giving you all the advice and information needed to make sure the policy you take is the most suitable.
