Peace of mind is not something to be found only in a cave in deep crevasses of the Himalayas by 100 plus year old monks. Since it is an inner state, it is independent of circumstances and external conditions. And it is attainable now, irrespective of what is going on in ones life.

People are constantly seeking ways to alleviate or overcome worries, anxieties and fears. The majority of us desire happiness and a feeling of confidence. All this results from inner peace.

When an individual attains a sense of peace, they act and react differently, and this transforms their inner and external world. In fact external conditions can only make us happy if we are serene.

One need not worry that peace of mind will make life dull, uninteresting and boring. In fact one enjoys life more, because life is uncomplicated and easy. It is filled with calmness and happiness and a personal inner strength is unveiled. You will not feel threatened by anything. And, you'll experience more deep-seated joy.

Here are a few tools I have used; Successfully.

Reduce the amount of time spent reading the newspaper or watching the news on TV.

Make the comics the first part of the Sunday paper you read.

Steer away from "gloomy" conversations, and from negative people.

Concentrate on what you really want to occur, not on what you don't want to happen. This in turn has an effect on ones thinking and tones the mind into expecting positive results.

Know your limitations. Do not take on more responsibilities than you are capable of carrying out.

Practice straightforwardness in dealing with others.

Some of us create our own problems by interceding in others' affairs. Unless asked, do not get involved in another persons' business (life).

Pay yourself. The best way to have financial peace during this changing economic time is to have some cushion in your bank account. Use the ability found at most banks to make automatic transfers into a "pay me" fund. This may require allocating a small amount; but start today.

Do the most bothersome task first thing in the morning, and enjoy increased productivity (and peace of mind) for the rest of the day.

Try "3 Simple things I like/love about..." It is quick exercise if you ever find yourself bored, such as in traffic or in the checkout line at the grocery store. It eliminates boredom, and is a great mood lifter.

Expect things to be different than hoped or planned; expect the unexpected to happen. Sometimes life has a way of turning out differently than planned. By allowing for this, we can breathe a sigh of relief and open the door to a more powerful way of living.

Walk to a window, look outside, and take a deep breath. Focus on that breath and nothing else in the whole world. This technique is extremely simple. You won't believe how fast you can boost your spirits.

Claim the first 10 minutes and the last 10 minutes of the day. As you're lying in bed begin to notice your breathing. Easily relax your body and mind by noticing how the breath automatically goes in, then out. And observe how you can control this! Now, slow the process down. Ahhhh, rest into a feeling of inner calm that develops.

Peace of mind is available to us all. But we have to reach out and claim it. Start cultivating it today. Make it your second nature and you'd be amazed at how wonderful life can be.

If I could go back and meet my 10-year-old self, I'm sure she'd find me inconceivable. As life rarely ends up appearing the way we plan. This seems to be true for everyone, even those who had never looked for anything out of the ordinary or unexpected in their lives.

There's so much we don't know, and there is so much to be experienced in life. One of the best parts of life is its ability to surprise, time and again. Let me tip you off to a few wrinkles that will inspire a 'Bring It On" type of attitude in your life.

Take a shower and get dressed--This may be a no-brainer, but spending five or ten minutes in the shower will help clear your head and make you feel a whole lot better. Hopefully you can even find clean clothes to wear!

Stop wanting things a certain way--Let go of any fixation that things have to be a certain way. Life is waiting to indulge you! And, it probably will not appear in the way you envision. For me it has been so much better!

Single-task--This may take some practice for some. But it works! Do one thing at a time, and indulge in the opportunity to do what you do, well.

Eliminate as much as possible from your to-do list--As much as you can, simplify your to-do list down to the essentials. This allows you to rush less and focus more on what's important.

Always be honest with yourself and others--Living a life of honesty creates peace of mind, and peace of mind is priceless.

You are here, now. So enjoy it!--You are on a continuous holiday--It starts with your birth and will end with your death. So, live it like a holiday.

Starting a new life, at any age--Life is change. It will change around you if you don't change with it. So be versatile and you will make the best out of the changes that come.

Trust Yourself. Learn to trust your instincts--It will improve your chances of success in every endeavor.

Make Your Own Rules--Go for what works for you. You may upset the apple cart a bit in the process, but hey others will eventually get used to this new you.

Pay Yourself First--You can't give something if you don't have it. Make yourself a service and pay yourself first, Start with one thing if necessary. But start today.

Stop hiding from your misery--Realize the cause of your misery and attempt to fix or eliminate the problem. If there is nothing for you to do, well, screw it. Anything that is not within the realm of your possibility to do something about, is a waste of your time and energy.

Expect to be Happy--It is said that, what you expect with passion will come to fruition. So, expect to be happy, expect that good things will come to you, and expect that life will bring you much joy and happiness.

And finally, what you've got to think is: 'I've come a long way, it's not over yet, and I expect the best is yet to come. So, Bring It On!'

It's amazing to me that no matter how much I think I've done in life that there is always more to experience (and learn). And, I have also learned that life stagnates because I allow it to.

Even though we have brilliant resources inside each of us, we also may have habitual tendencies of the mind that play like endless tape loops, tendencies that cause us suffering of one kind or another. It can be a "snap" to get caught up in this play field, and begin a downward spiral into the vortex of latency, fear, and self pity. And each time it is allowed to happen, the climb out can be treacherous and exhausting.

So, why do this to ourselves? What is going on? The answer I discovered for myself may surprise you. "I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop". And what I have since discovered (and the reality) is; "There is no such thing as the other shoe unless I choose to participate and thus create it".

We sometimes become so accustomed to allowing our environment to "rain down" on us that every time we try to move forward we stop and wait for the "other shoe to drop". This is not an uncommon feeling as many people remain so set in their situations that they fear what might occur if they move on with their lives.

Many of us have made that choice on a myriad of occasions inadvertently creating that "other shoe". Think back to different experiences in your life where you were saddled with fear. Most of the time, we eventually got what it was that we desired, but there was such a struggle. The root of the "other shoe" belief is our belief that in order to get what we need, we have to struggle for it.

Many of us have a learned expectation to make things worse than they may need to be. We do this by focusing our attention, and the momentum it will build, upon what could go wrong. And the interesting thing is that the key to creating new solutions is completely dependent on where we decide to direct and focus our attention.

It's not how "challenge free" a life can be, but how those challenges are managed that makes a life fulfilling. In other words it is about tuning into our current visual expectations and no longer allow what's been our reality to render us powerless.

We all have habits of thought. These include things like: what we believe, what we've experienced and have come to believe as the only reality and the only way that things can happen.

You already know that the performance of athletes improves dramatically with the power of visualization. It's not rocket-science. You eventually become your what you focus on.

    - If you continue to smoke a lot you become a smoker.

    - If you continue to drink a lot you become a drinker.

    - If you only watch TV all the time you'll be a TV "drone".

And...if you do something constructive, positive, and tangible in your life on a consistent basis you will be...

Happy, successful (in your own unique way), and create a life you enjoy living!

"What if Beethoven had never played again after he encountered his first piano?" and "What if I had never decided to move to Philadelphia after college, and instead moved back to my hometown because this is what felt comfortable. It isn't however just the big things that we need to encounter and experiment with but the little details are equally important; things like finding the "perfect" pair of sandals or how many hours of sleep is just right for us.

How easily we can assume that we are just a particular way or that we are sentenced to live a certain way forgetting that we can shuffle the deck, juggle the balls, or switch horses mid-course. How often do we give up on ourselves (or another human being) assuming we have tried "everything" when the next combination or new possibility is just waiting for us to notice it?

Our "habits" can ensnare us in a straitjacket of comfort, reassuring us that we know what we like, and/or we know who we are. It isn't that we just need to "stay open" or "try new things". It is much more critical than that. We have an instinctive desire to keep discovering until the day we die all the possible ways to do and to be.

So, instead of waiting or worrying that there will be nothing at the "end of the rainbow", start making plans for your next dream so that you can achieve the life you desire. Don't just hang around in hopes that something better will come along, go out and find that something better, and take it!

Life is an enormous pu-pu platter, a giant offering of possibilities, and it is up to us to keep sampling the delicious tidbits until we find the ones that make us dance on the table with satisfaction and exultation.

The Stanford Research Institute as well as The Harvard Research Center has discovered that 15% of a person's success in life is determined by knowledge compared to 85% being determined by attitude. It's not an overstatement to suggest that your attitude is more important than your aptitude!.

Enthusiasm is to be found where those most important things you value reside. These are the things that light you up. It is easy to know what lights you up because you know the feeling, no matter how fleeting. Just before the rational mind starts convincing you that you are mistaken, your heart soars for a moment. Your eyes light up and you hear that "Yes!!!" from deep inside. This is the seat of enthusiasm. Grab it, examine it and, above all, do more of whatever it is that creates it!

The power of enthusiasm can get you through many problems, ill-health, and disappointing experiences. It increases your physical vitality and helps you to keep going even when you think you don't have any more strength. It adds importance to everything that you do.

Enthusiasm can have a profound effect on the physical body as well. The pitch of your voice, your heart rate, even your posture, not to mention your energy level changes when you are filled with enthusiasm. In addition, people around you can detect it and will be affected too, because enthusiasm is contagious. An enthusiastic person is just more enjoyable to be around. When you are pleasant, upbeat, excited, or express a passionate behavior, others are infected. It is stimulating and attracts others to you; which will change your personal and professional life, for the better!

Keep in mind that enthusiasm is not the same thing as just being excited. You can get excited about your new car. However, you would be enthusiastic about all the things that happened, the actions you took to get that shiny new delite in your driveway. This includes knowing you were ready to get a better and newer car and you made a commitment to get it, now. Then you used your time and energy to investigate various models and ultimately decided which one is had your name stamped on it. The test drive cemented your decision, so you took the leap and signed your "john hancock" to all those forms.

Every new invention and creation is due to enthusiasm on the part of the inventor or creator. What you did to create this car is wear the enthusiasm lies! You are the creator of your shiny new car!

Getting enthusiasm is a little like learning to breathe: Nobody can tell you exactly how to do it, but without it you know something is missing in your life. No one but you can discover that compelling purpose or exciting adventure that ignites enthusiasm inside you. You can however learn a great deal from others about how to use it to it's maximum advantage.

Age, experience and traumatic events can sometimes take the edge off your enthusiasm, your thrill of life. So, how can you get it back? Think back to a time in your past when you were very enthusiastic about something, try to remember how it made you feel, how excited you were at the mere thought of it. Try to regain the passion and desire you felt back then. Remind yourself why it was thrilling to you. Remember though everyone changes, and so does your enthusiasm for different things. So what "tooted your horn" yesterday may be something you pass by today!

According to the dictionary, enthusiasm means 1. great excitement for or interest in a subject or cause. 2. a source or cause of great excitement or interest. 3. ecstasy arising from supposed possession by a god. The word actually comes from the Greek 'entheos' meaning "the God within."

Let's see how you can get a bit of the action, by using the immense power of Enthusiasm.

    * Enthusiasm grows when you focus on solutions and opportunities, not problems and circumstances.

    * Always spend your time with positive, enthusiastic people!

Enthusiasm produces success. So mix with and learn from those people you regard as dynamic, electric, and have achieved a bountiful life.

SIDE NOTE: Don't waste your time and energies on naysayers who are always putting you down. And, you don't have to let yourself bleed for the sake of people who drain you (without giving anything in return).

    * Forget about yesterday.

Be enthusiastic about the now, for that is all that really matters.

    * Find your balance.

Eat good food, maintain positive energy vibrations, listen to music you enjoy, spend time in nature. Take care of yourself!

    * Make love happen .

Be the love that you are looking for. Love, and you will be loved!

    * One of the best ways to receive more of what you want, is to be sincerely grateful for what you have already.

So for today, no matter what the rational mind says look on the bright side of life. Look and listen for the places, events, ideas, people and activities that make your heart shout that loud "Yes"! And, spend some time deciding how to bring more of those things into your life. Big corporations know this secret to success and if you are serious about building any kind of a business, including a successful Internet home business, you need to follow their example: target peak productivity. That is, aim to produce the greatest results with the least effort at the lowest cost possible. The bottom line: maximum profit.

Before moving forward on this topic, there is one more element to the productivity equation that must also be mentioned, and that is quality. Your reputation as a reliable source or preferred supplier depends on it. Your future in whatever line of business or service you choose, from Big Industry to a home based online income opportunity, is reliant on your commitment to quality. Focus on efficiency, but do not sacrifice quality or value.

Compliments of the World Wide Web, the Information Superhighway offers opportunities for unprecedented efficiency and productivity. Systems and methods of online marketing are now available to quickly increase the volume and speed of your efforts and accelerate your results. Your task is to identify the resources that best serve your needs, then take advantage of them. They are easily accessible.

Online marketing gurus will tell you that automation is the key resource for Internet business efficiency and productivity. Many online marketers regard automation as the most valuable attribute above all in any successful Internet marketing campaign.

Automation is the process of putting your business on autopilot. When you automate your daily marketing activities you save time and effort and produce faster results. Successful online marketers automate as many of their activities as possible.

Automation can be used to enhance the popularity of your website. Site popularity is extremely important in this competitive marketplace, and search engine optimization (SEO) is a hot subject. Automated SEO tools and resources are available to help improve your site popularity and move it higher in the search engine rankings.

Other automated systems and services available include traffic generators, link exchanges, directories and advertising services, to name a few. These resources are designed specifically to draw traffic to your site.

Auto-responder systems and services are another beneficial resource sector that has become vital to contemporary online businesses. Using an auto-responder system, you create your own list of subscribers who willingly opt in to a free service that you offer, like a newsletter subscription or marketing mini-course. By opting in, they agree to receive other periodic messages and offers from you. Your auto-responder automatically fills subscription requests and sends follow-up messages, leaving you free to focus your energies elsewhere.

The list of online marketing tools and service providers is endless. While every business has its own unique qualities, a little research will show you that Internet resources exist to fit every need.

The goal of business is peak efficiency and productivity. The target is maximum profit. Automated marketing tools and systems enhance the process and when the right resources are used effectively, the desired results will follow.

Do whatever you need to put your business on autopilot. Get automation working for you 24 hours a day and you will enjoy accelerated success.

As trite as this may sound, the secret to becoming the top income earner in any Internet marketing or affiliate program is, simply, your state of mind. Earl Nightingale, the late, great speaker, writer and motivational trainer expressed it best when he declared, "We become what we think about."

If you want to be the leader, think like a leader! Sounds simple enough. Why, then, do the vast majority of marketers fall short of that goal? Well, sadly to say, the problem lies in the strength of their thoughts or intensity of desire. That is, in their ability to truly focus on the goal and actually stick with it long enough to transfer the dream from thought to reality. To be successful, pick your best program and stick to it. Stay committed. Don't waste time, effort and momentum by giving up too soon or continually switching to new opportunities. After investing energy and resources into an opportunity, why risk flushing it away before it has a proper chance to prove its value? The seeds you plant today need to be nourished in order to produce the harvest of tomorrow.

We all desire massive Internet business success. We all envision spectacular results from our marketing efforts. We all bubble with awe-inspiring enthusiasm in the early stages of our quest for online domination. But when success doesn't come fast enough, when we are not the overnight marketing sensation we expected to be, our enthusiasm fades, our vision clouds and our desire dampens. That is where doubt separates the losers from the leaders. By loser I mean those who give up too soon and lose the reward that could easily be right around the corner.

In contrast, leaders have a different mindset. True achievers aren't thinking about failure. They're thinking about success, about the best things they can do to move forward. That is the kind of focus that intensifies commitment, and commitment electrifies action. Action gets results. And results are where the money is.

Another valuable idea I picked up from Earl Nightingale is if you want to accelerate your progress, learn everything you can from the leaders. Find out what they are doing for success, learn to do it as well as they do, then find ways to do it better! Innovate. But first, you must completely master their methods and systems. There are no shortcuts. You cannot improve on a process until you thoroughly understand what makes it effective. If you can learn it and master it, you can improve on it. Then comes the most exciting step: sharing your innovations with others. You then develop as the new leader and as your base of appreciative subscribers grows, so do your financial rewards.

When you combine proven success techniques learned from the leaders with a personal mindset of focus and commitment, your foundation for online success is secure. Remember, followers can and do succeed, but leaders are the ones who truly achieve and the rewards are far greater when you reach the top.

Since the dawn of humankind and the first exchange of an item or service for something else of value, a burning desire to succeed in one form of business or another has overtaken many aspiring entrepreneurs.

The nature of business has evolved over time. Now Internet marketing is the trend. Not everyone succeeds, but for those with experience, or a little insider insight, the rewards can be spectacular.

Making money online doesn't have to be difficult. Yes, like anything, it does require determination and focus, but if you apply the right methods, success can be as easy as 1-2-3.

For example, here is the basic formula you need for online success: 1. Product or service, preferably something in demand; 2. Proven method or system to reach the masses with your message; 3. Built-in process to produce steady, residual income.

You can spend a lifetime getting the necessary experience. Or you can save time and effort by learning from others who have paved the way. The challenge, of course, is finding the right marketing "guru" to guide you.

I am no marketing guru. Over the years, though, I have picked up some valuable marketing insight and experience. Let me share with you the basis for my philosophy in life and marketing success.

In the 1970s and 80s, I was inspired by leading mail order marketing guru of the day, E. Joseph Cossman. Mr. Cossman specialized in marketing proprietary products throughout the world and his sales reached many, many millions of dollars.

His success did not stop at just the profits he made from direct sales of the items he promoted. He went above and beyond and did something else that multiplied his rewards immensely: he helped others. He revealed his success system to others and he mentored the most serious of them to marketing success.

Cossman often said, "If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for life."

Like E. Joseph Cossman, I believe that true marketing success lies in helping others. It is a mutual relationship. The sense of personal achievement is greater when you help others, and the financial rewards are much more meaningful.

Today, men and women around the globe are seeking Internet marketing success from the comfort of their home. Those who achieve it the quickest are the ones who learn how to apply already proven systems for success.

Making money online can be easy… with the right combination of product or service, proven method for marketing and process for residual income.

Do your due diligence and find the right product and methods for you. Internet success awaits!

You've spent endless hours preparing the perfect speech - enthralling, witty, entertaining and attention grabbing – and the minute you get near a stage or podium you begin to fall apart! Fear of public speaking is all too common amongst the professional and social arenas and tackling your nerves may appear to be an impossible mission. There are however great tips and techniques included with training courses that can really help and overcoming the fear of public speaking can be achieved!

Understanding the fear of public speaking.

The first step in beating any phobia is to try to understand what causes our reactions to things such as public speaking, flying, spiders and all sorts of other seemingly irrational fears. Fear of public speaking is only one of a group of anxiety related illnesses known as social phobia but it is probably the one that affects most people. The way our bodies react to these situations comes from signals in the brain, causing physical symptoms including:

    - Dry mouth

    - Excessive sweating

    - Palpitations

    - Blushing

    - Trembling

In more extreme cases, a full-blown panic attack can happen, where an overwhelming feeling of anxiety takes over.

    Controlling your nerves.

The main thing that you must remember is that you are not alone if you suffer from a genuine fear of public speaking. There are very few of us who feel comfortable about getting up on a stage or talking in front of a crowd of people, but the good news is that with an effective public speaking training course, you can learn to use your nerves in a positive way. Breathing and relaxation are big factors in coping with your anxiety about public speaking, and learning how to use your nerves to your advantage can often be the first step in beating the fear.

    Preparation and practice.

Spending time preparing for a public speaking event is, of course, essential and can go a long way to help if you suffer from the dreaded fear of public speaking. This does not mean that you have to spend hours practising your speech in front of a mirror. After all, there may be times when you are asked to make a last minute presentation or your audience will be asking questions afterwards. Learning to beat your anxiety and lose your fear of public speaking completely involves being able to stand up in front of a group of people without the benefit of practicing beforehand. Your preparation for this type of situation is not, therefore, writing screeds of notes, it's more a matter of knowing how to prepare yourself mentally!

Fear of public speaking is a widely recognised problem, and there are numerous sources of help and training available. A good public speaking training course should address not only the basics concerns over nerves and anxiety, but will examine the reasons behind the fear, and help you with your individual needs.

Being accepted to a college is often the highlight of a High Schooler's dreams. Going through the testing and applications process, and then waiting for replies on those applications often make up a great part of a senior year in High School. Then comes the day that the letter arrives in the mail, and everyone gathers around to see whether you've been accepted or not.

You've been accepted! Great! Congratulations are offered, celebrations held, and then, suddenly, reality settles in. What's this college education going to cost and how are students, their parents, or other relatives going to help finance it? Today, more than ever, students entering college, as well as returning college students, are opting to obtain one or more student loans for college. While this may take some of the stress off Mom and Dad as far as tuition costs are concerned, it's an entirely new ball game for everyone.

A college loan is just like any other private loan, with one major exception. A student loan doesn't have to be repaid until the student has graduated from college. A student may also have several student loans from several different lending institutions. One of the most common lenders for any kind of loan is your local bank. Beyond that, there are Federal loans such as FAFSA, which stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. These loans are eligible for those who meet certain requirements, so make sure you do your homework beforehand.

The best time to start applying for loans is after you've received your letter of acceptance to the college of your choice. Forms need to be filled out and turned in as soon as possible after the first of January every year, but can also be completed throughout the course of the year, though processing time may increase. The FAFSA form is the most common approach to student loans after local banks and lenders, and is an application that determines how much a family is able to contribute to a student's financial obligations while in college, based on household income.

A FAFSA student loan application will need to be filled out for every school year that you would like to receive financial aid. Most forms are available every November for the following school calendar year. Applying early will increase your chances of receiving a student loan through FAFSA, though it is by no means guaranteed. Keep in mind that while such federally supported loans often offer lower interest rates than private student loans received from a private lender, they are also more difficult to obtain.

When looking for any kind of student loans for college, take the time to thoroughly research your options and check interest rates, repayment terms and more than anything else, be prepared to be patient. Don't stop with one student loan request, which is like putting all your eggs in one basket. Fill out several different student loan applications from various private and government lending sources, and keep your fingers crossed. While you're waiting, start looking for scholarship money as another source of financial aid.

If you're like most men and women, you don't like to put a bunch of chemicals on your face. However, it's often difficult to know which products are best at promoting healthy skin, as well as those products designed to reduce signs of aging, wrinkles, or to reduce darkness of freckles, melasma and scars. Many people these days are opting to go organic when it comes to their skin care needs, but just what does that mean?

Organic skin care, also known as natural skin care, is becoming more popular as people around the world are growing more aware of environmental and animal issues. However, the use of the words 'natural' or 'organic' basically mean that the ingredients of any specific skin care product is created from natural ingredients. This doesn't mean that the product that you choose can be considered natural by the time it reaches the store shelves, as often, chemicals and manufacturing processing has turned that formerly natural product into a something else entirely.

When you see ingredients listed on labels such as 'derived' from aloe vera or 'derived' from rose oil, or some such, that doesn't mean that no chemicals or additives have been added or created from the manufacturing process. In order to determine if any product, whether it's skin care, shampoo, foods or drinks are truly organic, they should have some sort of guarantee on the label that designates them as such. You should not be able to find any chemical names or terms in the ingredient label.

Always make sure to read the first few listed ingredients for any so-called organic skin care product, which usually make up the bulk of that product, whether it's a cream, lotion, paste or oil. An easy rule of thumb to follow is that if you can't pronounce the names of the listed ingredients, you may want to put that item back on the shelf.

When it comes to skin care, it's important to know what you're offering your skin cells. If you want moisture, or antiaging or anti wrinkle effects, you have to know the basics of skin care products. Retin and Vitamin A as well as Vitamin E are necessary for any beneficial anti wrinkle or line products to work. You don't have to be an expert in biology or chemistry to make a wise choice. Look around, ask around and check basic ingredients on the Internet or get a book on natural vitamins and herbs that are found in common foods, especially those found in fruits and vegetables.

Searching for a natural skin care product is not as easy as walking into the local natural food or health store and grabbing a bottle off the shelf. While this may seem the logical place to start, the consumer must always be aware of false advertising and take the time to read labels, ask questions, and if in doubt, put that item back on the shelf until you learn more about it. After all, it's your skin.

Bluetooth technology has spread far and wide. It enables the connection and exchange of information among computer-based appliances through low frequency (2.4 GHz) radio signals, thus totally eliminating the need for wires. This way you can use your computer to interface with video game consoles, cell phones, printers, other laptops, digital cameras, and set your Private Area Networks (PANs) without involving any wire connection.

The Bluetooth USB adapter is one of the inventions of Bluetooth technology. If you have computers and other devices that do not have an inbuilt Bluetooth compatibility, and you want to use it with another Bluetooth enabled device, you need not worry because with the help of a Bluetooth USB adapter (commonly known as a dongle), all such devices can be made compatible.

The Bluetooth USB adapter is a 3-inch long device that needs to be inserted in the USB port of your computer, making it compatible with the other Bluetooth enabled device. There are many different brands of Bluetooth adapters available on the market today, so buy the one that supports your headset protocol. With the support of a Bluetooth adapter you can now listen to music using your Bluetooth headset.

This Bluetooth technology has made it possible for people to travel wherever they want, without having to worry about carrying luggage filled with cables and wires to connect their laptop with their printer, their PDA, their fax machine, etc. You simply have to use your Bluetooth USB adapter to connect with any Bluetooth enabled device that you want to use.

Also, the Bluetooth USB adapter enables you to set up your PAN which provides you with a wireless network with which you can communicate with other computers, synchronize your PDAs, send and receive messages from your cell phone, download data from different sources such as your digital camera, MP3 player, etc.

The Bluetooth USB adapter solves your problem of connecting two devices wirelessly even if they are not Bluetooth enabled. Thanks to this versatile technology, communication has never been more easily and conveniently accessed.

Laser treatment is one of the most popular methods for hair removal. Although it's an expensive treatment, many people prefer this to other methods because it gives guaranteed results. But before you rush out to a salon, you should also be aware of the various side effects associated with laser hair removal.

You may notice a few side effects after undergoing the treatment, although this may differ from person to person. Some of the common side reactions of laser hair removal that you may experience are:

    * Redness in the area where the laser treatment is applied. It may last for a week or more. This is most common symptom observed in the bikini area and the armpits.

    * People who have dark skin may develop blisters. They will disappear with time, in about ten days or so. You must avoid touching the blisters as they can get infected and worse, if broken, they will leave scars on your skin.

    * Some people may experience a lightening of the skin whereas others may see their skin becoming darker around the area where the treatment was given. This is a side effect of laser hair removal may last for months.

    * Change in color of beauty spots (moles) in the treated area.

These side effects usually occur in people who have sensitive skin or when the treatment is applied by an inexperienced person. Therefore, proper care should be taken. You should always remember a few things before going for this laser hair removal treatment and to avoid the side effects. They are:

    * Do your due diligence and get all the information, not only about the treatment itself but also about the salon or clinic where you are planning to undergo the laser treatment. It should have a good reputation and have experienced staff on the payroll. You must only go to professionals to avoid any damage being done to your skin by unskilled staff.

    * Discuss everything with the clinic about your skin type and be sure to inform them if you have a sensitive skin. * To avoid fever blister formation, especially on the upper lip, make sure that you take an anti viral medication.

    * At least 2 months before taking the treatment, avoid using any photosynthesizing medicines. The use of Accutane or tetracycline may highly aggravate the side effects of laser hair removal.

If you act on the above, you may save yourself a lot of grief so that you are sure to get your money's worth from your laser hair removal treatment.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Alcoholism has spread like an epidemic everywhere around the globe. It is not only the young, but also the older people who are succumbing to alcohol addiction. It is often difficult to detect if a person is an alcoholic because they may have been drinking and yet doing all the work and activities that any "normal" person does. They are called functional alcoholics as they are very unaware of their problem, having always been able to perform all the day-to-day activities.

That is the reason why many people continue to drink and eventually get addicted to it. It is difficult to combat alcoholism and it if you choose to do so, it is a life-long battle which you have to fight. You need to have the will, determination and more importantly, the motivation, to see it through. Some people also get involved in various self-help groups where they meet others who are battling the same problem and can offer support to one another.

Alcoholism is hard to detect, but once you know what the problem is, then alcohol detox is the next step. While going through this, you may experience many symptoms of withdrawal, which are not at all pleasant. Some people have alcohol detox symptoms like tremors, where you begin to shake involuntarily and uncontrollably. These tremors are quite noticeable as you will not be able to hold anything in your hands, because you are shaking restlessly. Some people may even experience abdominal pains accompanied by vomiting. This happens as a result of the alcohol detox, when the body starts to rid itself of the harmful toxins which have been stored inside the body for so long.

Some even suffer from physiological problems and have psychosomatic symptoms. The thought of giving up alcohol makes them angry and overwhelms them. They can even become violent suddenly, when it is least expected. They may behave unpleasantly without knowing it and will only realize it when they have come to their senses.

It is important to know and identify the problems behind the addiction. Participating in support groups can play a very positive role for the alcoholic in fighting against drinking. This way he or she can open up and talk freely about their feelings and concerns with others who are also going through alcohol detox or have already gone through it. The person needs to have emotional support from family and friends as well, as this can help him or her undergo the therapy, knowing that they are not alone and that there are people around who care for them.

Nutritional therapies and medications are also known to be helpful to control alcohol detox symptoms. Vitamin B6 is also given, as according to research, this is a vitamin that seems to deficient in many alcoholics. Supplements are given to fight the urge for alcohol. Seeking help from a trained professional is the wisest thing that you could do. To overcome this destructive disease, there are support groups, medical and alternative therapies available. With will, determination and the willingness to deal with the problems behind the addiction, you can come out of it.

To avoid any disappointment, you should book your cruise well in advance so that you get the package that you want. Although this approach works while booking airline tickets, it may not necessarily be the wisest thing to do when booking a cruise package. It certainly will not get you a discounted cruise.

This is because some cabins go unsold as the cruise date approaches, so the cruise line will create last minute discount packages to sell the remaining cabins rather than leave them unoccupied. You may actually be able to get these unsold cabins for a fraction of their regular price! However, the cruise lines may not promote these discounts in magazines and on television in order to protect the interests of their travel agents as well as their full-fare business. The easiest way to make sure that you're informed of the cruise line's promotions is to subscribe to their website's newsletters.

You should also check with your travel agent which discount cruises are available. Don't be surprised if you can actually choose from a number of discount cruises from a cruise line of your choice! These cheap cruises do not compromise on quality and you can rest assured that you will still get the best of everything. Your discount can range from 10% to 75% -- it all depends on the time you book and the availability of the cabins.

Discount cruises are available from leading cruise lines such as Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Holland America, Princess, Norwegian, Costa, and Disney. Sometimes it's better to buy from your cruise agent instead of buying directly from the cruise line as your agent buys in bulk and can help you get your package at the best rate.

Booking at the right time can get you a five-night Caribbean cruise for as low as $260. You may even save as much as 81% by booking at the last minute, provided you find the right cruise agent.

You can also save on your luxury cruise if you approach a traditional travel agent as they can get you a good group deal. If enough people come to them, they can book the cruise packages at the same time and so you can get a discount for bulk booking. However, you have to decide whether you are willing to travel as a group as you may also have to do many activities together. Although you save money, you may have to compromise somewhat in the freedom department.

With some patience and research, you should be able to find a great cruise deal with all the trimmings of a full-fare cruise, but one that will leave you with some extra cash in your wallet. It will make your cruise holiday that much more enjoyable!

Gestational diabetes is the third type of diabetes which occurs typically during pregnancy. Although it may disappear after the baby is born, if the condition is left untreated, then it may not only harm the health of the mother but also the health of the fetus too. In a small number of cases, gestational diabetes occurs temporarily during pregnancy.

The symptoms seen in gestational diabetes patients are almost the same as the symptoms of diabetes mellitus. The patient experiences increased thirst and passes urine frequently. It is very important that the sugar level in the blood is tested by the prenatal medical team at regular intervals, so that it can be kept under control. The high levels of insulin in the mother's system can result in large babies, although no birth defects have been known to occur.

During the first trimester most birth defects manifest themselves, and gestational diabetes does not typically occur until the second trimester. Factors that need to be considered during pregnancy to determine whether or not the mother is at risk, are whether she had gestational diabetes during her previous pregnancy, if the previous baby was overweight and also the age of the mother. Chances are that the mother will develop type 2 diabetes later in life if she has gestational diabetes during her pregnancy - even if the condition disappeared after she gave birth.

If a woman is at risk of getting gestational diabetes or is showing symptoms of the disease, she should get the required tests done by the 28th week or even earlier if she had experienced it during her previous pregnancy. The tests will be done by a physician performing glucose tests to determine if there are increased chances of getting gestational diabetes, after which extensive tests can be done to complete the diagnosis.

Gestational diabetes can put your baby at risk! The mother has the risk of developing type 2 diabetes at a later stage, as well as hypertension or high blood pressure. Some of the most common problems seen in infants are:

    • Macrosomia (excessive birth weight)

    • Jaundice

    • Respiratory distress syndrome

    • Low calcium

    • Levels of magnesium

    • Increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes later in life

Once the problem is diagnosed, the treatment started will depend on the health of the mother. The age and weight of the mother have to be considered. The treatment will be given according to her preference. Either she could opt for a strict diet regime and exercise with proper monitoring of blood sugar levels or, in more severe cases, she could go for insulin treatment. Whatever method is chosen, the main focus will be on controlling the sugar levels in the blood.

Insulin is a very important hormone which converts starchy foods and sugar into glucose, the type of sugar which is required for energy so that your body can function normally. The body stops to produce or use the insulin in the body when you have diabetes, so if you are a diabetic, a careful and strict diet has to be followed. Diabetes is a lifelong problem which has to be dealt with. It is not curable. You have to follow a routine of proper medications and a planned diabetes diet to keep the disease under control and to maintain your health.

    Know About Diabetes

It is important that you know thoroughly about the disease and also about the condition of your body. Each one of us has a unique body and although there are many other people with the same disease, it is not necessarily so that what works for them, will also work for you. So you have to consult a doctor to learn about the type of diabetes you have and the issues that may occur when treating yourself for diabetes. It is very important that you follow the correct diabetes diet for you.

Get your blood sugar level tested from time to time, irrespective of what type of diabetes you have. Purchase a pocket size apparatus to check the sugar level in your blood which you can use yourself when and where you want. Start learning how to use the device when you start to follow your diabetes diet. This will allow you to check your sugar level after every meal you eat.

All foods rich in starch or carbohydrates have to be avoided, as these foods are hard to convert into energy if you do not have the required amounts of insulin in your body. You should increase the intake of vegetables and fruits and avoid foods like potatoes, rice, pasta, etc. But there are also certain fruits which you have to avoid, as they can increase the blood sugar level.

It is not true that you have to stop eating a particular food altogether when you have diabetes. You just have to be careful to eat the right quantity.

Make Exercise a Part of Your Routine

The real cause of diabetes still remains unknown, but it is generally accepted that people who are overweight are more likely to suffer from diabetes. Hence, it is necessary that you be careful about what you eat and that you make exercise a part of your lifestyle. Those who are overweight have to be cautious and should try to lose weight. Following a proper diabetes diet is very important, not only for controlling your sugar levels, but also to keep the body fit.

Diabetes is an incurable disease, but if proper care is taken and provided you follow a diabetes diet, there is no reason why you cannot lead a normal and full life.

Ionithermie detox is a detox program, which was developed by French biochemist Olivier Fouche in the year 1979. Ionithermie detox is said to be a very effective method and it also has a large number of health benefits. It improves your skin tone, improves muscle tone, increases firmness, reduces inches quickly, improves circulation to specific areas, removes toxins, re-mineralizes, balances hormones, improves lymphatic drainage and relaxes both the body and the mind. Wow! Although this detox treatment was introduced in the United States only a few years back, but it has become very popular. Despite the long range of benefits, an ionithermie detox treatment takes only about an hour.

First, the area on which the treatment will be done is decided. Then a mixture of purifying algae, ivy and amino acids is applied to that area. These ingredients cooperate to increase the circulation, break down cellulite, and release toxins trapped in the fatty deposits. Around these ionithermie detox ingredients, a layer of fabric is wrapped and then clay infused with algae is applied over it. This is meant to conduct electricity and also a number of electrodes are placed around the area that's to be treated.

A mix of galvanic and faradic electrical stimulation is used for ionithermie detox to show results. To extract toxins from deep within the body, the galvanic stimulation uses positive and negative ions and the faradic stimulation is intended to work as an exercise to promote muscle and skin tone. The trained therapist does the job quite efficiently, overseeing the mild electrical applications, in order to get the best results comfortably. After the treatment is over, the clay is removed and a soothing lotion is applied all over the body.

Some patients are delighted to lose a few inches in the treated area after the first treatment. A good diet and exercise should be followed to get the best results from ionithermie detox, although the results may not last for along time. You may lose one to eight inches temporarily, but the benefits of the detox and muscle tone improvement are permanent. Before starting any diet or exercise regimen, the ionithermie detox treatment should be done to allow for maximum benefits.

There are also various products available which could be used to prolong the effects of the ionithermie detox. This treatment has become very popular everywhere around the world and is available in spas, where it is provided by trained personnel. Although medical science may not be convinced of the effects of this treatment, those who have undergone ionithermie detox completely vouch for it.

Pubic hair removal is a tricky endeavor no matter which way you look at it. Pubic hair removal is not only a 'fashion statement' these days; it's become a matter of personal hygiene. Before you start however, there are a few things to remember and pointers to learn to make the pubic hair removal process as efficient and painless as possible.

There are two methods of pubic hair removal: wet or dry shaving. Each has advantages and drawbacks. For wet shaving, using traditional shaving tools and shaving cream will get you the results you're after, but it's easier if you trim hairs to about a quarter of an inch before shaving for pubic hair removal, and if possible, use an electric shaver. It goes without saying that if you use a scissors to trim pubic hair, use due caution.

Before preparing for pubic hair removal with the wet shaving method, soften the pubic hairs first. Taking a warm shower will do. Softening the hairs facilitates shaving. Always, use some sort of shaving lotion or gel prior to shaving for pubic hair removal or uncomfortable results will follow. Pubic hair removal is made easier by shaving in the direction of hair growth. Some people like to shave in the opposite direction to get a closer shave and smoother feel, but this can cause irritation and ingrown hairs, an unpleasant prospect in such a sensitive area! Refrain from repeatedly shaving the same area, as two or three strokes should be enough.

After completing the pubic hair removal process, remember to exfoliate. Clean the shaved area with warm water and body soap to keep pores open. Clogged pores lead to infections and ingrown hairs. Following that, make sure you moisturize, avoiding lotions or oils that contain a fragrance or colors until later. Powdering can complete the after pubic hair removal process for a soothing effect.

When opting for dry pubic hair removal, again trim the hair prior to shaving. Again, soften pubic hairs by showering or applying a cloth dampened with warm water. Make sure the area is dry before proceeding with pubic hair removal using this method. The next step is to sprinkle talcum powder over the area to be shaved. Using talcum powder absorbs sweat and oil at the same time, but make sure it's rinsed off after completion and also make sure that your skin isn't sensitive to talcum before doing this. Try not to let the powder get inside body passages. The next step in this pubic hair removal process is to shave stubble. As with the wet shaving pubic hair removal method, exfoliate upon completion to clean away hairs and prevent clogged pores, and then moisturize.

Another method for pubic hair removal done at home or salons and is called a Brazilian wax. While this method of pubic hair removal produces the longest lasting effects, it is also the most uncomfortable and is also expensive. No matter which method you choose for pubic hair removal, make sure you take the time to pre-moisten the area and then follow with moisturizing for comfort.

First of all, detox is a term used to define the process of detoxification, which is used to describe the process of removing any toxic waste from the body. Many people today use detox as a way of cleansing their colons of unwanted waste, but for many, detox is more than ridding yourself of a few extra pounds. For many, ridding the body of alcohol and drug remnants and also withdrawing from the use of such is called drug detox. Never, under any circumstances, should a person attempt to perform a drug detox without proper medical supervision.

Drug detox is the first step in a method that will involve the body's own process of ridding itself of drug chemicals that it has grown to rely on. What most people don't realize, is that the remnants of drugs or alcohol in a body system of an addict will produce cravings for more unless every one of those remnants is expelled from the body. It is the first and most difficult step for most recovering addicts, who won't begin the actual recovery process until they complete the drug detox program. Hundreds of drug detox centers are scattered throughout the United States and other countries and can deal with mild to severe addictions to drugs like heroin to addictions caused by anti-depressants and pain killers such as Xanax, Darvocet and Codeine, among a wealth of others.

New medications used in many drug detox facilities enables those withdrawing from drugs of any sort to take prescribed medications to make the process easier and less uncomfortable. Some such drug detox facilities offer closely monitored withdrawal from opiate addictions with a high rate of success. Individual and group counseling is also available at a drug detox center. Staff members encourage patients to talk about their addictions, a main step in the healing process. After the drug detox process has been completed, many drug detox centers also offer drug rehabilitation counseling services as well.

The key to a successful drug detox program is to admit that there is a problem and then to make a decision to so something about it. A drug detox center can help you do just that, and is equipped to help people get off such drugs and abused medications slowly and safely. A drug detox center in hospitals or community settings includes medical and psychiatric support for patients. A good drug detox center will offer more than a room and a bed, but will offer both emotional and caring support for patients and their families. A drug detox center can help not only the person undergoing the detox process, but friends and family when it comes time to offer ongoing support after discharge. Many people are ashamed or embarrassed to admit they have a problem and refuse to go to a drug detox center. But trying to withdraw from drugs on your own is a dangerous and painful process without correct and trained medical supervision. A drug detox center can provide everything someone needs, from medications to counselors for patients. No one should go through the drug detox process alone, and a drug detox center is the best place to undergo this life changing experience.

Most of us think that cruise lines are way out of our price range. We envision formal dining and entertainment, rich couples drinking expensive champagne and handsomely appointed staterooms that cost thousands of dollars a night. And while there are expensive luxuries offered on cruise voyages, finding a cheap cruise adventure is well within reach of most people. To find a cheap cruise adventure, the first thing that you need to do is shop around. Important considerations such as departure and destination points need to be considered as well.

The best places to start gathering research for a cheap cruise adventure are on the Internet. Check out traveling websites such as Travelocity and Orbitz and the like and start printing out information. Where do you want to go? Alaska or Hawaii? Somewhere more exotic, like South America, or Australia or the Far East? First decide where you want to go and then start pricing different cruise lines. Cruise lines are in the business of taking passengers to wonderful locations, and if they weren't affordable, they'd soon go out of business. Passengers can find luxurious shipboard appointments if they have a bottomless wallet, but so can the average tourist on a budget.

Take, for example a cruise line in the United States. Carnival and Pacific cruise lines offer passenger accommodations at around $200 a night for three to four day journeys to the Bahamas, Baja California and the Caribbean. This 'cheap cruise' fare is not cheap in the sense that you won't be able to access the perks that other passengers are receiving. Far from it. This price includes just as many amenities and perks as any other passenger enjoys. Of course, the longer the journey, the more expensive it can get, but also keep in mind that most passenger voyage tickets include everything from room and board, dining, onboard entertainment, use of fitness rooms, swimming pools and any other activities provided while on board, and even may include tickets to any sightseeing venues off the ship while in certain ports of call. When looking for a cheap cruise ticket, make sure that you know what is included and what isn't in the price of a per person ticket.

No matter which kind of a cheap cruise line ticket you're looking for, remember to read the fine print. Many cruise lines require double occupancy for the prices quoted. Some also require that anyone under the age of 21 must share a room with someone who is at least 21 years of age. Comparison shopping for a cheap cruise line ticket won't take very long, and you'll more than likely be surprised at the number of good deals you can find. Just remember that a cheap cruise doesn't mean that you'll be bunking down in the boiler room. Do be advised however, that the cheaper your ticket, the lower in the ship your room will be located, so keep that in mind when booking rooms. A cheap cruise find is a rewarding payoff to a little homework.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

What is a Bluetooth headset? You've certainly seen them, those things connected to people's ears that make them look like they just walked out of a Star Trek convention. At first glance, it almost looks like a giant bug has attached itself to the side of the person's face, causing a moment of alarm as one prepares either to help the poor victim or run for cover. Other times, people walk down the street, apparently talking to themselves in either calm or vigorous tones. It isn't until a quick turn of the head reveals a Bluetooth headset.

A Bluetooth headset is an odd name for what this little gizmo is and does. First of all, it's usually not blue, it doesn't have anything to do with teeth, and it isn't really a headset: it fits around the outside of your ear like sleek CD player headphone earpieces. With a Bluetooth headset, nothing gets draped around the neck or over the head.

A Bluetooth headset, in English, is a wireless device that connects one to mobile phones, PCs, laptops, digital cameras, printers and even video game consoles. It has global range capabilities and a short-range radio frequency. The distance a Bluetooth headset can pick up frequencies is determined by the power of the transceiver microchip inside, and most headsets can pick up anything as long as the other party or object is in range. The Bluetooth headset device also uses a radio communications system, and as long as the signal can be picked up, so can you. Be advised however, that in order to make a Bluetooth headset work, you need to meet certain specifications, and your Bluetooth headset must be compatible with that of the person or device with which you wish to communicate. Make sense?

One of the most positive aspects of Bluetooth headset capability is that it allows hands-free use. Especially with new laws on the books regarding people driving with cell phones, a Bluetooth headset offers a safe alternative, and yet allows necessary communication between parties or hardware. Believe it or not, a Bluetooth headset can also communicate with a PC mouse, printers and keyboards. A Bluetooth headset also allows users to transfer data from the headset to a destination such as a palm pilot as well. The younger groups will appreciate the fact that a Bluetooth headset can control gaming consoles such as Playstation 3, Nintendo, and new Wii technologies.

Bluetooth technology isn't limited to the Bluetooth headset. It's also found in just about any newer types of electronic and computer equipment being manufactured today. Even Wi-Fi uses the same frequency as a Bluetooth headset, while Bluetooth technology is more user friendly. First designed in 1994 by two Swedes, the original company now has thousands of companies worldwide. Major global companies such as Intel, Nokia, Sony and IBM have all taken advantage of boom in Bluetooth technology and developed products and services to support it. So, a Bluetooth headset is much more than a cute little mobile phone that fits over your ear. A Bluetooth headset is riding the crest of the wave into the future.

Millions of people around the world are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes every year. Many have never heard of the disease, though some know a few facts. If you're one of millions diagnosed with type 2 diabetes this year, arm yourself with knowledge that will help make your diabetes treatment and management easier.

Type 2 diabetes is caused when your body is unable to produce sufficient quantities of insulin or the inability of your own body cells to use that insulin efficiently. The body needs sugars, or glucose, for energy. The human body is a finely tuned machine with different systems and organs working in tandem to maintain normal activities. Much like a vehicle, if one setting is wrong, it affects the behavior of the entire engine. Hormones within the body normally produce adequate supplies of insulin, which is turned into glucose and used as an energy source. When the body is unable to produce enough insulin or use it properly, this affects fat tissues and muscle cells, which in turn causes what is known as 'insulin resistance'. Such a condition is prevalent among those diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes is also known as non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM), or adult onset diabetes mellitus (AODM). With type 2 diabetes, a decline of what are called beta cells adds to the problem by also serving to elevate blood sugar levels within the body. The bottom line is that if someone is resistant to insulin, the body turns around and tries to increase its production of the substance until it overcomes the resistance. Eventually, if the production of insulin is decreased and insulin is not released at regular intervals, hyperglycemia occurs. This condition causes the elevated blood glucose levels within your body systems to rise. As with many other body system organs and functions, levels of glucose must be strictly maintained to produce normal body function activities.

People diagnosed with type 2 diabetes may still be able to produce insulin, but not enough to maintain continuing normal range levels within the system. In such cases, the pancreas kicks in to start producing larger quantities of insulin, which throws the fine chemical balances maintained throughout the body out of whack. Another major factor in the onset of type 2 diabetes is that body cells, especially muscle and fat cells, seem insensitive to this insulin. This may be due to the fact that the insulin being released from the pancreas is inferior, but what results is a downward spiral that is difficult to control until a patient is required to administer daily insulin injections.

It used to be that only older people or certain ethnic groups seemed to develop type 2 diabetes, but more young people are contracting type 2 diabetes than at any other time throughout history. Such a rise in the number of young adults, and even teenagers, developing type 2 diabetes, is blamed on sloppy eating habits, lack of adequate exercise and the intake of huge amounts of fast foods. If this issue isn't seriously addressed, the rise in people developing type 2 diabetes will continue at an alarming rate.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

If you are a resident of Canada you most likely will have seen many stories on the media – whether it is on TV or in the Globe and Mail or your local newspaper that car prices are much less expensive in the United Sates than in Canada. You may have wondered if you can save money and is it worth the effort. Yes it can be less expensive and well worth the effort. However it is a simple matter of doing your homework thoroughly and following the rules according to Government of Canada Transport Canada and the Registrar of Imported Motor Vehicles of the Government of Canada. It is not a very complex procedure, which is too difficult. That is as long as you follow the rules to the letter and in the correct sequence.

From the very beginning you must be stressed and you must understand that if you do not follow the Canadian and American rules for importing and exporting a vehicle you may well have very expensive auto, truck or SUV .stuck south of the border. As a result you will not be able to bring this car into drive into Canada to drive register it or drive it in Canada as a Canadian citizen or resident... In that case you will either be forced to sell your vehicle, at cost and inconvenience to yourself, to a person in the United States. It cannot be overemphasized that you have to do proper research, check and either recheck the rules, and then follow the auto importation rules exactly and to the letter.

Many Canadians have saved substantial amounts of money importing cars from the US into Canada. This is even more so with the more expensive luxury brands and models. . Simply and exactly follow the rules as laid out, on the government websites or on similar pamphlets. If you are not sure – then ask .Either email, phone or both It's only a phone call or an email away. Nothing difficult. It all comes down to simple preparation. If you prepare well not only are these officials more than facilitating and happy to help you out. They will even assist you in either of the official languages of Canada- French or English. It can be said that in the end the departments will be collecting the same taxes in any event. On top of that, the humour is the best chance is that the vehicle itself was manufactured in Canada in the first place.

You may have heard many, if not dozens, of mythical stories of Canadians who saved vast amounts on car purchases by importing cars from the US into Canada. Contrary to your research and readings you may well encounter skeptical and downright misleading information from either local car dealers or manufactures when you conduct research or read articles in your local newspapers or on Canadian television programs. Such objections may include statements such as "The savings (except for the highest end luxury cars) are minor."" The cars are not the same." ", The manufacturers will not honor new car warranties on new cars bought in the US and imported / shipped into Canada. "These answers are either false or mistruths taken out of context. It all comes down to your research. Take time to clarify your research both to reassure yourself, to verify and as well eliminate false, wrong information and misconceptions and answers taken out of context. Again the correct answers may only be a phone call, email or one webpage away

You will save a fair chunk of cash. All that matters in the end is the final price of the product delivered to your door, driveway or parking spot. This is true in many, if not most cases. Again in the end all that matters in pricing out your car is what it costs delivered to your door – with all taxes and charges included. Even after including all of the Canadian taxes and extra costs involved, in most cases, you will save a bundle. To the largest degree currency fluctuations have made this so. The rise in the Canadian dollar has made this so. It may also be argued that the retail car industry in the US is much more competitive than in Canada reducing prices by competition.

In terms of warranty coverage it is true that manufacturers do not cover warranties on US cars imported into Canada. However the vast majority of car makers do cover the warranties. It's up to you to do your homework. Again either phone or email. It's always best to get the answer in writing. At the worst case with some brands, if you are being actively discouraged from purchasing the car, since it is a case that the factory warranty will not be honored if the American purchased car is registered in Canada, then if the savings warrant it, and the car is of a high quality product line, it all comes down to final cost savings. If savings are substantial and warrant the costs – then there are no shortage of very reputable third party warranty coverage providers , who will gladly sell you extended warranty coverage. The humour will be that in most cases the actual work will be provided by the factory authorized dealer service department – the very organizations that may have warned you of the perils of loss of service privileges if you purchased the vehicle outside of their sales areas.

You may consider that it is wrong, unethical or immoral to import a US car into Canada. True most people like to be loyal to their local merchants. However under the NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) cars are shipped back and forth among the NAFTA trading area (the USA, Canada and Mexico) without extra tariffs and taxes. This has benefited the car makers greatly – allowing for reductions in costs due to specialization of factories and economies of scale. Before NAFTA each car maker has different factories in each separate country manufacturing select models and car lines. With NAFTA that can be scaled back to only several, larger and more efficient factories – each producing a certain model or car line for the entire NAFTA trading areas. If the car makers can benefit from the economies of scale of NAFTA why not you as a consumer? You cannot have your cake and eat it too.

Interestingly enough the humour is that same car, which you are importing into Canada, May very well, have been manufactured in Canada, for the North American car market. You are in effect repatriating that vehicle home. If the car is not made in Canada, but in the US or Mexico, the same person and people will have their jobs regardless of whether you purchased the car in Canada or in the US The one person or organization that gets left out of the loop is your local car dealer. True. However, it may be surprising for you to discover, that most of the profits of a car dealership are from service work of your vehicle, not the sale. In this day and age of computerized, technically difficult to repair automobiles, who are you going to take your car to for service, both warranty and non warranty related. The answer is that your service work, in most cases, will be done by your local dealer, whom you wish to support.

The basic rules in importing a car into Canada are as follows. First consult the Government of Canada site – Officially the "Registrar of Imported Vehicles ", also called Riv. This can be done by phone, email or both.

Transport Canada issues a comprehensive "List of Vehicles Admissible from the United States". This is your initial bible to consult – both in terms of admissibility and inadmissibility. Note that certain model years may have different rulings. It is up to you to do a thorough a complete job of research. Again phone, email to check and recheck if you are unsure or doubtful. .

Before exporting the car from the United States, you will have to fax US customs the relevant documents 72 hours in advance. Next you will have to follow the procedure outlined at the Riv site of "What to do at the Border". This involves documentation, the paying of certain fees and taxes and within a set time an "Imported Vehicle Inspection" and certification by an approved automobile service agency. If modifications need to be done to bring the car into line with Canadian standards, these must be done. Certification again must be done by the approved repair facility.

Lastly remember that cars manufactured within the NAFTA trade zone do not pay extra duty. However extra duties on cars manufactured outside the US, Canada or Mexico may be demanded. By Canada Customs. Again it is your responsibility to do your homework.

Ensure that your paperwork is correct. Pay particular attention to the declared value of the car. Ensure that this is the correct figure that you paid. Do not attempt to have a "false bill". The Canadian border authorities have at their disposal accurate information as to market value of the car, truck or SUV in question. This is their business and they do the time. If you got a good deal fine. It does not make sense for the sense of saving a small amount of taxes paid to under declare what you paid and risk fines , penalties and even seizure of your value priced vehicle. Most likely you have saved so much money along the way, and even had a brief holiday as well. Why push your luck and take foolish chances for no good reasons.

This is a basic explanation of the steps required to import a car into Canada from the US There may be additional steps involved, in your specific case. Rules may change over time, either overall or in specifics.

It cannot be overstated that you must do a thorough and complete job of research – either by phone, email or both.

Written documentation is most preferential over verbal. Check and recheck. If in doubt phone or email.

At this point in time, many Canadians have purchased a car in the United States and imported that vehicle into Canada. These smart consumers have found that the cost savings on purchasing their vehicle well outweigh their investments in time, efforts and extra work involved.

When it comes to the fuel injection system in your automobile there is no question that to function properly, all the electronic sensors in your vehicle must be up to snuff and functioning properly. Proper information and data must be fed to your car or truck's onboard computer system. Sure the electronics in your car in 2010 / 2011 dwarf NASA's moon shot computer systems yet it is a case of "Garbage In Garbage Out" if the automotive electronic sensors in your vehicle are not functioning 100 % , each and every drive and time you start your automobile .

Very simply put, if one or more of the sensors are faulty, then the computer will not be able to determine the correct fuel mixture. Most electronic fuel systems have a certain amount of built in diagnostics to detect sensor problems. If a sensor is not producing a signal – then the onboard computer or banks of smaller computers will detect a sensor problem or problems.

If an electronic sensor that reports on your fuel system in your vehicle is not producing a data signal, the computer may note it and store a "trouble code" in its internal memory. Depending on the nature of the failure, it may cause a warning light, such as the dreaded "check engine" light on your dash to light up or come on. At that point you should take your car to a trained professional who knows how to diagnose and troubleshoot electronic fuel injection for diagnosis and repair. Correct diagnosis depends on following the step by step instructions in the manufacturers detailed repair manuals. Trying to figure out what is wrong without the correct manuals, or discs of specific data and manuals to refer to is virtually impossible. It's worse than finding a needle in a haystack. Anyone who tells you otherwise is simply wrong or incredibly lucky – one time only.

When the mechanic gets into your car, he or she will put a sophisticated computerized electronic device into a self diagnostic mode so it will give them a quick and detailed readout of any and all trouble codes which are stored in the memory of the onboard system. In the auto service trades this is simply referred to as "reading the codes". In some vehicles the codes can alternatively be read, in some cases and situations by actually counting the flashes of the check engine light while on others such specialized diagnostic test equipment is needed to fully read and evaluate the codes. From there on the mechanic or service technician will have to follow a step by step test sequence until the fault is fully and complexly isolated. Regardless in most cases the reference will be have to made back to a specific manual or list of codes as supplied by the manufacturer or maker of the car , or a reputable third party reference source disk , book or online repair and diagnosis service.

Thus if the check engine light comes or lights up or your dash you can bet it's a fairly sophisticated system that requires a professional to diagnose the problem. Once diagnosed its your choice as to which shop , mechanic or even backyard mechanic should repair the vehicle engine or which components need to be replaced. To simply reset the codes without taking steps to correct the problem is simply false economy and will not leave you with a reliable or trouble free driving experience down the road.

What an amazing world we live in this millennium. Publishing anything used to be only for a minority with access to the powerful. With simple Blog tools now anyone can broadcast, or even narrowcast their message out to the world.

It can be a broadcast message to a wide cross section or to a small niche. With power and even authority comes responsibility. What are the basic responsibilities of Bloggers and blogmasters of the world, or a webmaster when it comes to rules of law of slander and libel? What do these terms mean, what do they entail and what are the responsibilities and pitfalls of webmasters including editorializing Bloggers?

In terms of strict legal definition and definitions the term "libel" can be said to be defamation that is expressed in written, printed, even oral as well as basically any other form of communication in an audible or visual content. Hence you can include websites and blogs in this grouping. Once you publish your site – it's out there on the web. It is visible and written. Even if its up for the briefest of times and then taken down , you can bet that somewhere on some computer server somewhere in the wide wide world of the world wide web , some hosting or webmaster server has cached and recorded it , most likely indexed by search engines as well.

Hence it pays to be most conservative before hitting the "publish" or "post". A moment in haste can cause the webmaster or blogger time, effort and cost of legal bills down the road or perhaps the internet highway.

It is important that the person, organization or authority running a web-site, hosting a domain or posting, managing or even supervising a blog-roll, have a clear understanding of the legal as well as practical legal concepts involved in the forms and formats of slander and libel, as well as to comprehend what can and can not constitute a proven case of libel or slander.

Effectively by being aware of "the rules", those in the know of internet publishing can both guard against the publication, and what may well constitute libelous activity which may be undependable in court or civil suit settings. On top of that if a case of libel or slander arises , the blog or webmaster / host-master / manager of a domain will be both in a much better situation , better prepared in terms of understanding the law and legal concepts involved , have a framework to both defend themselves and as well be able to both make their case . On top of that it's a lot easier to explain the situation to a lawyer, lawyers or law firm without more ado. Read into this faster time of preparation, ease of getting a clear lawful and legal opinion or opinion from your barrister or solicitor.

Finally first and foremost your law bills should be substantially lower by the greatest degree. With proper and full explanation ,with the details of your case being presented in your initial meeting and legal assessment with the judicial professionals and officials involved they may quickly determine that the "other side" ( the one's charging you with libel or slander ) have no case at all or what so ever. Hence your legal problems may be closed and shut down early on from the get go. Problem solved with conservative tactics, understanding of legal concepts and procedures and your solid preparation along the way.

In the end it can be said when posting or uploading by ftp to a website it never hurts to be cautious, conservative and err on the side of editorial and legal caution.
