So you've heard about MIDI and are eager to set up your own MIDI home studio? Actually you can do that for a few hundred dollars assuming you already own a decent computer. Actually a home studio can cost a LOT more than that, but a few hundred dollars should take care of the basics for you. But be warned, if you catch "MIDI fever" as so many have, you're likely going to be spending a LOT more money, even to the point selling your refrigerator (or your kidney) to get money to buy more MIDI equipment!
In order to set up your MIDI home studio, you're going to need hardware that allows MIDI input and output – in other words, hardware that facilitates the transfer of MIDI data to and from a computer and a MIDI Interface or some similar MIDI unit. You can recognize such a unit by the "MIDI IN" and "MIDI OUT" jacks, which will be labeled as such on the outside of the unit itself. Some of these interfaces are barely "external" at all – they're nothing more than cards that you plug into your computer. Others are little boxes attach to your computer's USB port or elsewhere. Remember that this piece of hardware is an interface, not a sound module. If you want your studio to be able to play actual sounds, your going to need additional hardware to connect to those MIDI IN and MIDI OUT jacks.
MIDI ISA cards include the Roland MPU-401 (or MPU-IPC) and the MusicQuest MQX--32, among others. Your best bet, however, is to purchase an external MIDI interface box that will connect to your computer's USB port, such as the MidiMan MidiSport series, the Edirol UM-880, and the UM-2. Even better, the Roland JV-5030 is a sound module with a built-in MIDI interface that can be attached directly to a USB port – thereby killing two birds with one stone, although you will need a serial MIDI driver for your operating system. You can even attach the Roland JV-5030 to a keyboard controller and play it without a computer. You can even plug headphones into it.
In any case, it's probably best to purchase something that you can plug into your computer's USB port, because that is where the industry seems to be heading at this point.

Community property law is normally applicable only to two people who are legally married, although it is sometimes applied to couples who have lived together for a long time. Some states have not yet enacted community property laws, and the law varies considerably among the states that have enacted them. Nevertheless, the community property laws of various states share certain features in common.
Contrary to popular opinion, you can't marry a millionaire in a Las Vegas Chapel 'o Love drive-thru window, pull around and get a drive-thru divorce, and pull out of the parking lot a millionaire yourself. Community property applies to all the property gained during the marriage – so the longer the marriage lasts, the better chance the richer spouse has of getting fleeced. For most couples, wages and salaries are the biggest component of community property. Pensions are also included, as are assets (such as houses and cars) bought with these funds. So if one spouse is worth ten million and the other is worth fifty cents before walking into the church for the wedding, their respective wealth is probably going to be about the same when they walk out a few hours later.
In addition to "community property", each spouse will normally have some "separate property". Separate property includes each spouse's property obtained before the marriage, along with income derived from this property, even if the income is earned after the marriage (in most cases). Gifts received by one spouse only are also considered separate property. In a few states, though, family residences are considered community property even if it was a gift to one spouse and the title is in that spouse's name only. In addition, separate property can be converted into community property by having one spouse donate his or her separate property to the couple's community property..
The foregoing is a very simplified explanation of community property law. Keep in mind that significant differences exist among states, and that there are a lot of rules involved. This article was written to give you a rough idea of what does and does not belong to you.

If you are married and you live in a community property state, then you should know something about the law of community property. It can get pretty complex, and the law varies somewhat from state to state. Nevertheless, following are some characteristics that may help you understand community property law a little better.
1.Joint Management and Control of Property
Neither spouse may unilaterally control or dispose of the marital property – the consent of both spouses is required. For example, if your house is community property (generally speaking, if it was not a gift and if it was acquired with money that was earned by either spouse during the marriage), then your spouse will have to execute the deed in order for you to sell it – you cannot transfer the deed by yourself.
2. Severance
It is commonly thought that "community property" means that each spouse owns 50% of the marital property. Of course that is an oversimplification, but in any case even when there is a 50/50 split, it applies only after divorce. While you're still married, it all belongs to both of you. What this means in practice is that, for example, you cannot force your wife to sell your house and split the proceeds 50/50 so you can get your "cut" - you have to either divorce her or get her to consent to the sale.
3. What happens if one spouse dies?
If one spouse dies without a will, the dead spouse's 50% interest in the community property will go to the surviving spouse, meaning that the marital property will now be 100% owned by the surviving spouse. But while alive, either spouse may will his/her half interest in the community property to another to take effect at death. Some states have laws limiting this right.
4. Can creditors seize the marital property to satisfy the debts of one spouse?
It depends on the nature of the debt. If the debt belongs to Husband Hal (if, for example, it was taken out before the marriage, or in some cases if assets acquired by Hal before the marriage are used as collateral to secure a debt), then Hal's creditors can seize that property to satisfy the debt. If, on the other hand, the debt belongs to the marital community (for example, a family home acquired after the marriage), then Hal's creditors cannot seize the marital property to satisfy a debt that belongs to Hal alone. That also means that they cannot sell the marital property, take 50% of it, and return 50% to Hal's wife.

When you buy a condominium, what are you actually getting? In a typical condominium arrangements, each "tenant" owns his/her individual unit outright and owns the common areas as a "tenant in common" together with the other tenants. Since you have ownership rather than mere leasehold rights, you can sell your unit and build up equity in it.
A tenant in common is a fractional owner of the common property, meaning, for example, that if the property is sold he is entitled to a certain percentage of the proceeds. A tenant in common can also generally sell his interest in the property without the permission of the other tenants in common (some restrictions may apply). Finally, a tenancy in common is undivided - all tenants in common have an equal right to possess the entire property. This means that if I am a tenant in common with a 1% fractional interest in the lobby, I cannot tape off an area equal to 1% of the total area of the lobby and claim it as my exclusive property, and neither can anyone else. But if the building is sold, I am entitled to 1% of the net proceeds of the sale of the lobby.
What do you own outright when you buy a condominium? Usually, all you own outright is whatever is inside the four walls. You do not own the plumbing (except as a tenant in common).
Furthermore, in many condominium arrangements, the common areas are owned not by the unit owners as tenants in common, but by a homeowners' association to which the condominium owners belong. This association is usually a corporation in which the unit owners are shareholder (giving the homeowners' association an independent legal identity), and the unit areas lease the right to use the common areas.
If the condominium has a parking area, condominium owners might have what is known as an easement, which is a type of property right allowing certain uses such as walking and driving through it, and parking your car there. In an easement, someone else owns the property and you just have the right to use it.

Article Title: The Law Of Time Sharing Arrangements

You can divide almost any type of property into a time-share (a type of fractional ownership). Most popular among these, of course, is the condominium time-share arrangement. Private jets are also sold as time-shares (betcha didn't know that!). What that means, just in case you didn't already know, is that the time-share owner has the right to use the property for a certain mount of time, for example two weeks a year. Since this time-share interest can be bought, you can also sell it when you get tired of it. You can build up equity in it, and if the terms of your contract or the homeowners' association allow, you can even rent it out to someone else.
There are two different legal forms of time-share ownership. One is called "interval ownership". In this arrangement, I may be granted a certain time period, for example one week a year, in which I can have the exclusive use of, say, a parcel of land, maybe a beach. If there are fewer than 51 other time-share owners, then there will be some time every year when no one will have the exclusive right to use the beach. This doesn't mean that I can't use it, however – since I own the beach as a tenant in common with the other tenants during this time, I can come to the beach but unlike during my week, I cannot throw anyone else off the beach – I have to share it with the other time-share owners.
The second legal form of time-share ownership is called "time-span ownership". In this arrangement, I have a tenancy in common with all the other tenants the whole year round, but an exclusive right to possess the property for a certain period every year. In practice, there is usually very little difference between these two arrangements, although it might matter in certain contingencies and might affect the value of your time-share interest.

Article Title: Landlord Tenant Law In Plain English: "Abandonment And Surrender"

Format: 64cpl

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
DISCLAIMER: This article is intended for reference purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.
In landlord-tenant legalese, "abandonment and surrender" refers to the process by which a lease is terminated prior to the end of its term. For example, suppose Tenant Ted signs a lease from January 1 to December 31 with rent payments due on the first of every month, pays the rent on time for the first four months, and then moves to Outer Mongolia on April 8. What can Laura Landlord do about it?
First of all, she cannot move in another tenant before Ted's next rent payment becomes due (May 1) - no double dipping allowed. The property is Ted's to possess at least until he becomes delinquent in paying rent.
Second of all, as long as Ted continues sending a rent check every month, he can become live in a tent in Outer Mongolia and Laura will still not have the right to move in another tenant until January of the following year, when Ted's lease expires.
So what if Ted stops paying monthly rent?
Well, if he's just a couple of days late, then under most leases and under the laws of most states, Laura will still have to wait a certain specified period (maybe a month) before she can terminate the lease and move in another tenant. At that point Ted will owe Laura damages equal to one month's rent plus any expenses he caused Laura by terminating his lease early (suppose, for example, that she couldn't find a new tenant willing to pay as much as Ted was paying - Ted will owe Laura the difference multiplied by the number of months remainng on the lease). Because Laura chose to terminate the lease, she can no longer demand that Ted pay the entire year's rent.
But Laura doesn't have to terminate the lease at all if she doesn't want to. Suppose she's charging Ted rent at a rate that is way above market value? She may decide to sue Ted for back rent instead. In this case she is NOT terminatng the lease (and Ted can't terminate it without proper grounds). She sue Ted in small claims court every month as rent comes due, or she can wait until the end of the lease term and sue him for it all at once (as long as the statute of limitations hasn't expired). What she probably can't do is, for example, sue Ted in June and ask the court to make Ted pay in advance all the way through December - she'll probably have to wait for Ted to fail to pay each month before she can sue him for that month's rent.

Many cities have passed ordinances restricting the amounts by which landlords can increase a tenant's rent. These local laws are generally held valid even in the face of contrary state law.
Rent control normally covers only residential housing (and not office space, shopping mallls, etc.) Since it is usually designed to assist low-income tenants, it is rarely applied to luxury housing, and sometimes does not apply to single family homes. In some cases the tenant will have to prove that the premises are his primary residence, and may be prevented from subletting the premises at a higher rent (this is to prevent rich people from renting out many properties and then subletting them out at higher rates, thus putting the government in the business of subsidizing profits for rich people at the expense of landlords).
In some cities, the landlord is entitled to raise the rent as soon as the premises become vacant - he can charge the next tenant higher rent, but cannot increase that rent as long as the same tenant lives thee. This is particularly important for cities that have rapidly increasing property values, in order to prevent people from being moved onto the street or into slums by rapidly escalating rental rates. If it causes landlords to go bankrupt, though, it can exacerbate housing problems by decreasing in investment in new housing (because of the reduced profitability caused by rent control).
The least restrictive form of rent control prevents landlords from evicting a low-income tenant simply to increase the rent - in this form of rent control, a landlord cannot refuse to renew a lease without good cause (tenant misconduct, for example), and may not raise the rent beyond a certain legal maximum. Many times this legal maximum is tied to the consumer price index (to allow the landlord to adjust rental rates to inflation).
Keep in mind that rent control laws vary from city to city, and are subject to interpretation.

The Siberian Express across Russia to Moscow has been described as the best train ride in the world. Maybe not anymore. The Tibetan Railway from Qinghai to Lhasa has thrown its hat in the ring. It will eventually be extended to the Nepalese border, only an hour's drive from Kathmandu.
Some things you might want to think about before boarding:
Price: Tibetan Railway tickets are CHEAP, ranging from US$49 to $180 depending on how much comfort you require and where you're coming from. A soft sleeper from Beijing, a 48 hour journey, cost only $158 in early 2007. Although a travel agency might charge more than that, the frugal can purchase a ticket directly from the station.
Visas: A China visa is of course necessary. Contrary to some information on the Internet, though, a Tibet Permit is also required for foreigners. They are relatively inexpensive and not difficult to obtain, and can be arranged through a travel agency.
Altitude Sickness: Tibet is often called the "roof of the world", and the Tibetan Railway is the world's highest altitude railway. Nearly 1,000 kilometers of track have been laid at over 4,000 meters (12,000 feet) above sea level, and Tanggula Station, at 5,068 meters (over 15,000 feet) above sea level, is the highest railway station in the world at. Lhasa sits on a high desert plateau. Accordingly, altitude sickness is a very real danger. Fortunately the gradual acclimatization of going by rail rather than by air reduces this risk substantially. I flew to Lhasa from Chengdu in 1994 and got altitude sickness from my first breath of Tibetan air. I stayed that way for the rest of the trip, and then spent the next 10 years wanting to go again, because it was worth every single minute of discomfort. Be warned, however – extreme altitude sickness can be life-threatening, and the only treatment is to get to a lower altitude as soon as possible. Accordingly, a trip to Tibet may not be appropriate for the elderly, the infirm, and people with lung ailments.

Let's start out with the $64 question - why do women seek to marry overseas and leave the Ukraine? One of the reasons (not well known in the West) is that Ukranian and Russian women outnumber men at home. That's because the mean life expectancy of Ukranian men is considerably lower than Ukranian women. This is partly due to rampant alcoholism along with several other factors. Naturally the primary motivation is economics – these women are acutely aware that the standard of living in Western countries is much higher than it is in their home country. That doesn't mean that they are only after your money and will make bad wives. That depends on individual character. So take all the time you need to choose a good one.
Perhaps the wisest way to begin your search is to select a reputable international matchmaking agency. You will need to travel to the Ukraine (preferably not in the winter!) to meet the candidates personally. Out there you will be introduced to dozens of eager, eligible and beautiful women. The way the process works, you will have a date of at most a couple of hours with each candidate. Don't be concerned because you'll have plenty of opportunity to get to know your favorites later. The international matchmaking services take precautions to protect these women from predatory men who pretend to be interested in marriage in order to take a sex tour of the Ukraine.
Once you have identified a favorite, be sure to take the time to get to know her, no matter how much of a hurry she may seem to be in. It would be foolhardy to bring one home after your first trip abroad. After all, some women are better than others – if these women want to eliminate men who come over only to sleep with them, you are quite entitled to eliminate the women who are more interested in a green card than they are in you.

Not so very long ago, those concerned about crime or fearing for their safety had limited options. Many such people chose to purchase a handgun, unfortunately resulting in occasional accidental deaths when children got hold of it or someone was mistakenly identified as an intruder (resulting in yet another occupational liability for pizza delivery drivers!)
After that came a plethora of non-lethal weapons including stun guns, pepper spray, and Tasers. Among the foregoing, Tasers are widely thought to be the most effective. The overall effectiveness of a stun gun has been measured at 86% (and pepper spray's performance is even more dismal), but the Taser's effectiveness has been measured at a constant 100% as long as your attacker isn't an android. Believe it or not, Tasers are available to the public, although the most advanced versions are available only to police and other law enforcement personnel.
In contrast with stun guns, when using a Taser you don't need to be close enough to an attacker to touch him – Tasers are effective from as far as fifteen feet (law enforcement grade Tasers are effective from up to thirty-five feet away). Even better, Tasers are safe – they don't cause death or permanent injury except in the case of freak accidents (someone falls and hits his head on concrete, for example). This feature is vitally important in case you mistakenly Taser someone by mistake.
How does a Taser work? It uses compressed nitrogen to fire two fishhook probes into the attacker's body. An electrical pulse shoots through the Taser probe wires and into the attacker's body. This causes immediate loss of neuromuscular control for the entire duration of the impulse. Even if your aim is terrible, you only need to hit your attacker anywhere on his body or clothing, and you'll end up Taser-ing the poor attacker into a quivering pile of flesh. Training is required to use it properly, but it is minimal and any reasonably intelligent person can master it.
All in all, Tasers are considerably safer and more accurate than handguns and are easier to use. They're also cheaper. If you live in a big metropolis, have enemies, or have an obnoxious personality, you should definitely give some consideration to purchasing a Taser.

Not all mail order brides are the same. If you've looked into it then you have probably run into success stories and nightmares. Women differ both individually and according to their culture - Vietnamese women are as different from Mexican women as Mexican are different from Romanians.
What sets Indonesian women apart is that in Indonesia the status of women is particularly low compared to Western countries. This provides a lot of their motivation to get out of Indonesia (not to mention Indonesia's relative poverty!). Although in general Indonesian women seeking to emigrate are sensitive to being treated as an inferior, by the same token they greatly appreciate being treated with respect.
Indonesian women are trained in the fine art of conversation, and they can converse on many different subjects. Are you tired of women whose preferred topic of conversation always seems to be The Relationship? What's more, culture encourages a wife to be unselfish and devoted. Finally, Indonesian women tend to take care of themselves – that means their personal hygiene is excellent, and of course some of them are very beautiful as well.
Take the time to get to know her before you marry. With email this has become easier than ever before, and doesn't require constant travel back and forth to Indonesia. Yeah, she wants a to start a new life in your country, but does she want you? Make sure she does before you marry her, because if you don't then this uncertainty will haunt you no matter how she really feels about you. This author has known men who have married mail order brides, and every single one was terribly insecure, afraid that his wife would dump him or cheat on him. Yet in every case I was personally convinced that his wife would never do such a thing. If you think she's going to cheat on you the even if she doesn't, your insecurity alone will cause almost as many problems in your marriage as if she really did.

Over the last few years a not-so-silent revolution has been taking place in the music industry. Advances in technology mean it is now possible for any body with a halfway decent computer to set up a home studio for under a thousand bucks, allowing Mr. Anybody to compose and record their own original music. The music making software is as complex to use as it is versatile, and without a doubt the learning curve for the beginner is steep. Nevertheless, once you learn how it works, it all becomes quite fascinating. One of the most popular music-making software packages called the Reason series.
Reason is a product of Propellerhead Software from Stockholm, Sweden's. Its latest version, known as Reason 3.0, is priced in the range of USD400 - 450 (note: don't buy the pirated versions sometimes available on the online auction sites). Like other MIDI software, it is designed to be used together with a MIDI keyboard (which costs USD200 and up), although many of Reason's functions are usable even without a keyboard. Reason is capable of producing almost any form of music, but is most popular for producing electronic dance music like trance and house. Propellerhead offers online support as well as upgrades and downloads.
In a nutshell, Reason is simply a CD-ROM virtual studio rack that takes a tune out of your head and records it. No, you can't just plug it into your ear and download it, but all your hard work will be worth it once you hear your song on real life speakers. Reason comes with a very wide variety of effects and synths and includes all other features a composer might want in a music workstation.
User Reviews of Reason 3.0 are overwhelmingly positive, stressing ease of use and good customer support. Before you buy, however, do keep in mind that there are a number of good alternatives out there such as Cubase, etc.

1. If you fly frequently, consider joining a frequent flyer program.
Frequent flyer programs can offer long-term discounts, so don't always buy the cheapest ticket. Once you factor in the free tickets that you eventually qualify for, you could end up saving money. This is an especially good strategy for those who often fly overseas – how many trips to Singapore would it take to accumulate enough frequent flyer miles to get a free domestic ticket?
2. Check the airlines' own websites
Don't restrict yourself to the major airlines. Some regional and national carriers offer cheap airfare. China Airlines, for example, might offer cut-rate airfare to Beijing.
3. Check the online travel agencies
Expedia and Orbitz are among the most popular. Travel agents purchase air tickets at a discount by buying in bulk from the airlines, so they can often offer you cheaper rates than the airlines.
4. Be flexible.
Cheap airfares are often available only on certain days and require you to stay a certain minimum time.
5. Try the small agents in ethnic enclaves.
If you live in a big city and want a ticket to Japan, for example, go to Little Tokyo and check out the small agencies. If you want to go to Rome, check out Little Italy. I have purchased round trip tickets from Los Angeles to Tokyo for as little as US$500.
6. Book in advance.
Tickets booked in advance are normally cheaper than last minute purchases.
7. Buy from an air courier service.
Air courier services are companies that buy your luggage allowance in exchange for discounted tickets. Although they are the cheapest tickets available, they are usually reserved for international travel. Please note, however, that you may only bring carry-on luggage.
8. Become a student.
An International Student ID Card will get you lots of places cheap.
9. Offer to pay your way aboard an unregistered cargo plane by cleaning toilets and mopping the deck (bring along a parachute and you can stop anywhere you like - for the very adventurous only!).

Mesothelioma afflicts the abdomen and chest. It usually results from asbestos exposure. In fact, over 90% of all cases result from this cause. This statistic scares to many people because of asbestos' presence in the insulation of so many buildings. Malignant cells appear in a protective lining covering the body's internal organs known as the mesothelium. Mesothelioma can be divided into three known forms: pleural, peritoneal, and pericardial. Contrary to what most people believe, there is no known cause and effect relationship between smoking and mesothelioma. Unfortunately, however, the lifetime risk of mesothelioma for those subjected to heavy asbestos exposure is thought to be as high as one in ten
- Mesothelioma symptoms might not show up until several decades after exposure. These symptoms include chest pain, shortness of breath, and swelling of the abdomen. Other symptoms that are specific to peritoneal mesothelioma may include fever, weight loss, anemia, bowel obstruction, and blood clotting abnormalities.
- If the cancer metastasized, the patient may experience various symptoms including difficulty in swallowing and swelling of the face and neck.
- Pleural mesothelioma has its own pathology-specific symptoms including hoarseness, coughing and wheezing, tumors, and lung collapse.
Of course, the foregoing symptoms are common to many different conditions, so there is no need to panic if you have them. Simply see your doctor and have a biopsy done.
Mesothelioma progresses 4 distinct stages.
Stage 1: The cancer is localized and the malignant mass can be surgically removed.
Stage 2: The cancer has metastasized beyond the lining of the chest cavity.
Stage 3: Metastis to the chest wall, the heart, and the diaphragm.
Stage 4: Mesothelioma spreads throughout the body.
Stages 2,3, and 4 are almost always terminal. In these cases treatment focuses on pain reduction. Hospice care is strongly recommended for patients in these advanced stages, because hospice care is focused on pain reduction rather than life extension, two goals which are frequently in opposition to each other.

Futures trading, like any lucrative earning opportunity, involves high risks. Online futures trading is no different - its convenience tempts many people to treat trading like a Vegas casino instead of a legitimate investing opportunity. With this in mind, following are some pointers on succeeding in the online futures trading jungle:
Are you a long-term investor or a day trader? If you decide you're a day trader, then keep up with your trading account on an hourly basis. If you decide you're a long-term investor, then it is important that you resist the urge to check your account every hour or even every day, because short-term trends that are useless for your purposes may tempt you to trade when it is unnecessary or even harmful to your long-term interests.
Don't gamble with grocery money. Decide how much money you are willing to put on the table in advance, and stick with this budget no matter how fast you lose it. If you don't, online futures trading will become a vice that will put you on the street in no time. And if you're a beginner, stay away from highly fluctuating markets - you might want to consider starting with mini-futures.
Quit while you're still ahead. Nobody likes to sell after a good run, but in this game you should sell off a good run as soon as you spy a negative trend. If you don't then your new trading profits can grow wings and fly like a bird. Of course you run the risk of the "left behind blues" if your former acquisitions continue to appreciate. Getting out while you're still ahead is particularly important for day traders. The long-term investor needs to be concerned with weekly and monthly trends, not short-term peaks and valleys (unless, for example, you're trading coffee futures and there's a coup d'etat in Brazil).
Keep a good attitude. If you're a beginner, you will probably lose the futures trading game at first. Think of it as tuition.

Online jewelry stores offer both value and convenience, particularly for those living in rural areas or small towns that have a limited selection of jewelry available. But due to the nature of online business, they also provide ample opportunity for fraud, especially when they are located overseas. Please consider the following before purchasing jewelry online:
1. Deal directly with a manufacturer directly rather than a retail outlet. You'll probably get lower prices that way, but even if a retail outlet offers low prices it should raise a red flag. When dealing directly with the manufacturer, low prices can be expected - you're buying wholesale and eliminating the middleman.
2. Since can't personally view the jewelry you buy online, purchase only from establishments that offer a return policy of at least 30 days. You should also pin them down on when this return period begins to run – when you pay, when it's shipped, or when it's delivered. Otherwise your item may get "lost in the mail" until you receive a piece of gravel exactly 31 days after you paid for it.
3. Be sure to deal with a professional. This advice applies double for an online jewelry store since you don't get a chance to see the jewelry before you order. Only a professional jeweler is qualified to answer your questions and choose a piece that appropriate for you.
4. Go online to investigate the reputation of any online jewelry shop you deal with. The longer they're in business, the more likely they will have attracted complaints if their service isn't good.
5. Check whether or not the shop is a member of a professional jewelry associations, and don't deal with any that are not. Verify their claim with the association itself – don't simply take their word for it.
6. How long have they been in business? Not just how long online, but how long offline as well.

Article Title: Private Jet Charter - More Affordable Than You May Think

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
Because of the inconvenience of traveling by commercial airline due to terrorism-related security restrictions, many people are considering travel by private jet charter. This mode of travel is of course quite expensive compared to travel by commercial airline. If you've got the money, though, it can be not be a sensible and even affordable option under the right circumstances:
(1)The fee is being paid by a company or a wealthy individual.
(2)A group travels together and would have to purchase separate tickets – private jet charter fees are normally paid in lump sum.
(3)You have an important and urgent business deal to close, or for some other reason you must get to your destination at a particular time with no margin for error (and you need to be well-rested when you arrive).
There are scores of private jet charter operators in the US, including Executive Jet Management, Business Jet Services, Delta AirElite, PrivatAir, Hop-a-Jet , Trans-Exec Air Service, and more. These operators offer comfortable, large-cabin aircraft. Pilot and co-pilot are provided, and flight attendants are available upon request.
The primary reasons people choose private jet charter include:
(1) Privacy – You get an entire jet all to yourself
(2) Economics – Most private charter jets are spacious enough to seat 18 passengers. If the itinerary involves multiple stops and the fee is shared among all passengers, the per-passenger fee might be less than what you'd pay on a commercial airline.
(3) Itinerary – You don't have to rely on an airline to tell you when to go, where to go, and how to get there. You don't even have to wait in line.
(4) Flexibility – Private jets can land at airports that commercial airlines aren't allowed to use – in fact about ten times as many. These small airports are not likely to be crowded, and may be much closer to your ultimate destination.
(5) Comfort – Imagine a Jacuzzi full of bikini-clad supermodels (or Boy Toys, if you are female) pouring champagne down your throat as you soar over the Andes…just kidding. But seriously, private jet charters often offer comfort that easily exceeds even 1st Class on commercial airlines.

1. Profiles can only tell you so much. Most of the profiles you'll see are fairly generic: "family values", "kind and gentle", "subordinate to her husband", "respectful", "strong maternal values", etc. Far less often will you hear descriptions such as "adventurous" or "passionate". Perhaps these women think these qualities are not what men want, but she is definitely gonna need them in order to successfully adapt to living in a foreign culture.
2. More mail order brides than you might think are well educated and professionally successful at home. The image of the impoverished, uneducated woman waiting for Prince Charming to swoop in and rescue her for a better life in a rich country is all too often not true. One of these kinds of women seek to marry and live abroad is their perception that their homeland lacks good husbands. In strongly male-dominated societies, men can be quite intimidated by a successful, intelligent woman.
3. They're not all out for money even if they are poor. While a better standard of living would have to be taken into consideration to marry a Westerner (which is why you don't see many mail order brides from Canada, Japan, or New Zealand, to name a few), you don't need to be rich to attract a bride from overseas. If you run into a gold digger, run the other way.
4. Her limited English skills may not be as big a problem as you might think. Of course, she'll ned to speak at least a bit of English unless you can speak her native language. But once you get her home she will have plenty of chances to practice, so she will inevitably improve.
5. Cultural differences don't necessarily weaken a marriage. The US Department for Citizenship and Immigration Services has estimated that the divorce rate for mail order brides is about 20%.
6. Walk like a man. Most mail order brides are from male-dominated cultures. Although most of these women are seeking a husband who will not demand submission from them, they do, more than most American women, desire a MAN. That means be decisive and don't act like a wuss-bag, begging for her approval. Many mail order brides are quite beautiful used to being groveled to, and SICK of having to choose between a domineering man who treats her like a diamond necklace and a weak man who worships the ground she walks on (but can't see past her beauty).

Did you know that private jets are available for purchase in a timeshare-like arrangement? It's called fractional ownership. Fractional ownership of a private jet is now affordable even for small businesses and the upper middle class. The most well-known providers are NetJets, Flexjet, CitationShares, Flight Options, and Airsprint. NetJets is generally considered to be the leader of the pack.
A five-year ownership agreement is required for fractional ownership in most private jets. A one-sixteenth fractional share (about fifty hours of flying time per annum) runs from US$400,000 and up.
If you like to travel, fractional shares can save you money in many ways, believe it or not. In addition it can save you a lot of time, since flight times are shorter and there's no need to wait in line. To add to the convenience, private jets can land at many, many more airports than commercial flights, meaning that wherever you land is probably going to be not only closer to your final destination (reducing your ground transportation time) but less crowded as well. And since private jets don't have to follow rigid commercial schedules, you can arrange your trip more efficiently to eliminate unnecessary overnight stays and thus save money on hotel bills.
Nevertheless, there are hidden costs. Fractional ownership requires the payment of steep monthly fees along with fuel charges, among other things. Accordingly, don't expect fractional ownership to directly save you money. But think about this - the comfort, convenience, and efficiency of a private jet will provide you with a host of indirect economic benefits – since you can avoid delaying or canceling meetings, and you can arrive in at the top of your game in terms of physical and mental condition, you will be more effective in business endeavors such as negotiation, etc.
Don't forget that fractional jet ownership is also a considerable investment, since an interest in a private jet can be bought and sold.

The Internet woods are thick with beautiful young wannabe international brides. They usually come from non-Western countries such as China, the Philippines, Russia, or the Ukraine. So what's going on? Are these women after love of money? Will she keep you smiling for the rest of your life leave you weeping in the arrival lounge after she bolts to freedom by climbing out the window of the Ladies Room (with your credit cards)?
The answer depends on who you ask. Most men who taken overseas brides haven't experienced such a horror story, but some of them have. Still others wish she had slipped out the Ladies Room, or at least that they could stamp her "Return to Sender" and haul her to the FedEx office. So do keep this in mind - how many Canadian women, for example, are on the Internet trying to Chinese or Russian men to marry? If you want an overseas bride, you're just going to have to understand that at least a good portion of her motivation is going to be a new life in a prosperous Western country.
But it's not all about money. There aren't all that many women on the Internet looking to marry Japanese men despite their relative wealth, because Japanese men (fairly or not) have a reputation of being domineering and accordingly are not popular marriage partners outside of Japan. It follows, then, that most of these women are not just after your wallet.
In many of the world's cultures, economics is considered the only legitimate reason for any "nice girl" to marry – "love" is considered to be just childish wishful thinking. Filipina women, to give one example, tend to be completely straightforward about their economic motivation. Nevertheless, most of these women genuinely do want to be "good wives" – meaning supportive and faithful. And most of them would be thrilled to actually fall in love with their husbands – it's just that they don't necessarily require this as a condition for marriage

Writing a contract is an arcane art for lawyers only, right? Wrong. Yes, you should definitely see a lawyer should for high value, complex transactions. But the fundamentals contract writing are not all difficult to learn. Of course, once you finish writing your contract, do have a lawyer review it. But writing your own draft contract will cost you less than having a lawyer write it from scratch.
Here are some pointers:
1.Avoid Legalese. It is usually best to write contracts in a language called "English". Contracts do have to be precise, however. Write your contract with an imaginary demon sitting on your shoulder trying to twist your language around to make it mean something else. If your contract is precise enough to defeat this little demon, then it's probably precise enough. Some contracts, however, do need legitimate contractual "terms of art" that have special meanings to lawyers and judges (the word "consideration", for example). That's one reason you should have a lawyer review your contract before you sign it.
2. Be sure to include appropriate contract boilerplate. Including a dispute resolution clause, an assignment clause, an entire agreement clause, etc. can be important to avoid unpleasant surprises if a dispute arises. Standardized contract boilerplate clauses are available on my site (see below). Look carefully at this boilerplate and modify it to suit your needs – after all, every transaction is different.
3. Cover every issue that might result in a dispute. Be paranoid, because you never know what might happen. Think of every way that a dispute may arise, address the issue, and clearly resolve it.
4. Use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. This is not just for show. Some readers may remember the TV series about a lawyer who cost his client a billion dollars by misplacing a comma in a contract (he got fired, went back to his hometown, and opened his new law office in a bowling alley!).

Article Title: You Have A Contract! Or Do You? Voidable Contracts

You have a contract, right? Well, maybe. But then again, maybe not. There are several ways to have a contract declared void (as if it never existed in the first place) or voidable (declared void at the option of the aggrieved party). These loopholes include (but are certainly not limited to), lack of legal intention, lack of legal capacity (a child, for example), lack of true consent (fraud, duress, etc.), and illegal object of the contract (a contract for prostitution, for example).
Lack of legal intention: This means that a contracting party makes a promise without intending to be legally bound by it, as in the case of simply making a statement of intention. Legal intention is judged not on the party's subjective state of mind, but upon that party's acts – did the other person reasonably believe that the party intended to be legally bound. That's why you can't sue your sweetheart for standing you up for the Hawaii cruise - even though she swore she'd be there.
Lack of legal capacity: "Infants" (minors under 18 years old) normally do not have the legal capacity to enter a contract. Legally insane persons, some retarded persons, and sometimes even drunk persons lack legal capacity. They can enter into a contract, but watch out – they have the right to void the contract if they want to. The most common way this plays out is where a contract is signed in the name of a corporation that doesn't actually exist, usually due to some defect in its legal formation (note that if fraud was involved, this defense to contract formation might not be available).
Lack of true – consent True consent is not present if a party secures promise from the other party by misrepresentation, fraud, or duress (a gun to the head, for example).
Illegal object – The object of the contract must be legal – you cannot contract to perform illegal acts, so forget about suing your hit man after you paid him the money and he failed to off your wife. Likewise contracts for prostitution (whether written or oral) or gambling (in jurisdictions where this is illegal) are not enforceable.

Cubic zirconia is a natural mineral that looks like a diamond and is often used as a cheaper alternative for diamond jewelry. Due to the fact that it is so often used as a substitute for diamonds, it is often thought of as cheap costume jewelry fit only for the unsophisticated. In truth, it is anything but. Cubic zirconia is quite frankly beautiful. Although it is not as valuable as a diamond, it is still a distinctly high-quality jewel. Most cubic zirconia pieces are cut and measured just exactly like an equivalent diamond would be.
Cubic zirconia is used in pendants, rings, watches, bracelets, necklaces, and many other types of jewelry. Since the purpose of wearing jewelry (for all but the most "sophisticated") is to look like a million dollars, cubic zirconia should be considered by the majority who cannot afford a diamond so easily. Almost Diamonds, for example, is an online jewelry shop that offers a great variety of cubic zirconia jewelry that includes designer-inspired necklaces and rings.
Cubic zirconia is often combined with sterling silver to make affordable and beautiful wedding sets. Sterling silver is itself a cost-efficient alternative to gold – it can last for decades with proper care. A sterling silver ring has the advantage of being adjustable up or down up to two sized so that the new bride can be assured of being able to wear her wedding ring many years later.
The most popular cuts for cubic zirconia wedding sets include round, pear, emerald, and marquise, among others. The cubic zirconia / Sterling silver combination provides a lot of sparkle for an important occasion such as a wedding. As well, the sterling silver / cubic zirconia combination is often used in "good luck" symbol jewelry such as elephant, turtle, and butterfly pendants and pins. Cubic zirconia can be colored to make it more closely resemble more expensive gemstones. This feature is particularly useful if you want to buy a birthstone as a birthday gift.
Cubic zirconia is a beautiful and extraordinarily versatile mineral with a myriad of uses for personal adornment.

Article Title: Drug Abuse Treatment Options

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
The drug abuse epidemic has gotten so serious that there are now approximately 10,000 rehabilitation and treatment centers in the US. The cause of drug abuse is said to be an inability to cope with life's difficulties in a healthy manner, resulting in an attempt to self-medicate through the use of drugs. If the drug is addictive, then the addiction becomes an additional, independent cause of drug abuse.
Many factors must be considered when determining drug abuse treatment options - insurance coverage, cost, additional like family support services, group therapy, 24-hour medical care, post-discharge monitoring and support, etc.)
Drug abuse treatment can be divided into 3 categories: outpatient, inpatient (short-term) treatment, and long-term residential treatment. With inpatient and residential treatment, follow-up outpatient treatment is usually offered to ensure that the patient does not lapse.
Outpatient Treatment: This usually involves medication that reduces the desire for drugs and inhibits withdrawal symptoms (Methadone, for example), and counseling.
Inpatient Treatment: This is usually short-term and conducted in a hospital or similar environment. It uses a 12-step program similar to Alcoholics Anonymous. A drug known as Naltrexone is used for detoxification and withdrawal symptoms. Counseling is a necessary supplement to Naltrexone.
Residential Treatment: This is reserved for abusers with serious problems. It is offered in an atmosphere that resembles a home rather than a hospital. Treatment is usually for six to twelve months. Treatment includes medication, group therapy, and individual counseling. These patients usually have serious habits aggravated by mental health problems that are treated alongside the drug abuse treatment. Counseling is often confrontational and aims to re-socialize the patient (some call it brainwashing). Some treatment centers also offer occupational therapy. Available Counseling methods generally include therapeutic community group therapy and cognitive therapy. Occasionally other forms of therapy such as reality therapy may be offered. The purpose of residential treatment is to remove the patient from his usual surroundings, provide round the clock counseling support, and encourage the formation of supportive bonds with other patients.

Article Title: Get Listed On Chinese Search Engines

Almost everyone knows that China is th world's most polulous nation. But how many people knowe that China's urban middle class is projected to soon exceed the entire population of the US?. China is No.2 in the world in total Internet usage and growing fast. Its economy is roaring along at 7-10% GDP growth every year. It's easy to understand why Western business people have been salivating over the Chinese "big, juiicy piece of meat" for a couple of decades now.
Here are two more important trends: (1) the percentage of Chinese who can speak and/or read the English language (especially read!) is increasing rapidly (leading to many positions for Westerners as English teachers), and (2) the number of Chinese "chuppies" who carry MasterCard, Visa, Discover and other international credit cards (in US dollars, no less) is also rapidly expanding. What this all adds up to is a large and growing segment of the Chinese population that can now purchase your product or service over the web. Chinese are well-known for its appetite for Western goods and services (check out Vegas if you don't believe me!), especially luxury goods.
Is your site listed on China's major search engines? Well, these search engines may have already picked up your listing, but why not be sure? Give the Chinese search engines a boot by listing your website with them.
Following are website submission URLs for the major Chinese web search engines. Unfortunatlely, these web pages are written in Chinese, so get some help from a Chinese:
Top 5 Chinese Search Engines
1. Baidu: http://baidu.com/search/url_submit.htm
2. Sohu: http://db.sohu.com/regurl/regform.asp?Step=REGFORM&class=
3. Sobao: http://search.sobao.com/Computers_and_Internet/Personal/
4. Tianwang: http://home.tianwang.com/denglu.htm
5. Sina: http://iask.com/guest/add_url.php
THE FINE PRINT: Baidu, Sobao, and Sohu are the big players in the Chinese search engine market, with Baidu being the Google of China. The rest of these search engines may be closed down by the time you read this –or one of them may have overtaken Baidu.
