When you choose a holiday island resort in the Maldives, an island hideaway, where you can forget the worries and stresses of 21st Century life, do you take a low risk Maldives Vacation Package using a well known tour operator to one of the better known resorts within a speedboat ride of the airport?
Or
Do you allow yourself the chance to totally escape and fly by sea plane to one of the more distant Atolls such as Dhaalu Atoll.
There is so much to recommend an Atoll like Dhaalu which is 150 Km away from Male. It is 5kms south of Faafu Atoll, and is a small atoll measuring 38 kms in length and 23 kms in width. In fact the only Atoll more distant is Seenu Atoll to the south east of Dhaalu.
The Dhaalu Atoll consists of 46 islands, only 8 are inhabited and 2 islands have resorts, but of interest should be the island of Ribudhoo where the most skilled gold and silversmiths make jewellery. Very few people live in this Atoll, and a visit now may well be the best time.
The two Holiday Island resorts in this part of the Maldives are:
Angsana at Velaavaru which has been renovated is a 5 star hotel has 84 rooms and is 150 Kms from the airport, taking 45 minutes by sea plane. As the Dhaalu Atoll is virtually unexplored and undiscovered the hotel arranges a lot of excursions to discover the huge number of experiences the Atoll has to offer.
Vilu Reef Beach & Spa is a 4 star hotel with 101 rooms which is 156 Kms from the airport, taking 35 minutes by sea plane.
At the end of the day the decision is yours. There is no risk, so you can take a Maldives vacation Package and play safe, stick close to Male, enjoying a resort that may be brilliant, but everyone has been to before, or you travel to Dhaalu Atoll, and escape, truly escape to what is a real Maldives Island Hideaway, that your friends have never heard of, and stay at the perfect Holiday island resort on the Maldives.
It's your choice, but if you wish more information about the Maldives then go to http://www.worldwidevacationspots.com/categories/Indian-Ocean-Hideways/The-Maldives/

When it comes to deciding the best atoll to have a luxury holiday in the Maldives, then South Ari Atoll takes a lot of beating, with some of the top Maldives Luxury Hotels and Maldives Accommodation to be found, as well as some of the best diving and watersports.
The South Ari Atoll lies immediately south of the North Ari Atoll and west to south west of the airport.
Bearing in mind that this area was the second Atoll in the Maldives to venture into tourism, the island resorts here seem as unspoilt as the day they were built. A wonderful place to dive, snorkel or swim in the crystal clear turquoise water. To enjoy the wonderful multicoloured marine life, perhaps just lie on a powder white sand beach, or be energetic and windsurf, or play tennis, or volleyball.
Whatever you choose to do in the South Ari Atoll, you will feel a thousand miles from anywhere, and the top Maldives Luxury Hotels includes the following selection.
Angaga Island Resort and Spa is a 4 star hotel with 70 rooms, which is 85 Km from the airport, and reached by a 25 transfer in a sea plane.
Hilton Maldives Resort and Spa is a 5 star deluxe hotel with 150 villas, and is 90 Km from the airport, and reached by a 30 minute flight by seaplane.
Holiday Island Resort is a 4 star hotel with 142 rooms, and is 97 Km from the airport, and you can transfer by speedboat in 2hours 30 minutes, or by sea plane in 35 minutes.
Lily Beach Resort is a 4 star hotel with 95 rooms, and is 80 Km from the airport, and a sea plane transfer will take 25 minutes.
Mirihi Island Resort is a 5 star hotel with 36 rooms, and is 85 Km from the airport, and a sea plane transfer will take 30 minutes.
Ranveli Village is a 3 star hotel with 56 rooms, and is 77 Km from the airport, and a sea plane transfer will take 30 minutes.
Sun Island Resort and Spa is a 5 star hotel with 350 rooms, and is 99 Km from the airport, and a sea plane transfer will take 35 minutes, or 160 minutes by speedboat.
Vakarufalhi Island Resort is a 4 star hotel with 50 rooms, and is 90 Km from the airport, and a sea plane transfer will take 25 minutes.
Vilamendhoo Island Resort is a 4 star hotel with 141rooms, and is 82 Km from the airport, and a sea plane transfer will take 25 minutes.
White Sands Resort & Spa is a 5 star hotel with 141 rooms, and is 104 Km from the airport, and a sea plane transfer will take 30 minutes.
When you come to choose your luxury holiday in the Maldives, then the South Ari Atoll Maldives accommodation takes a lot of beating, however many hotels require a sea plane flight, or a long transfer by speed boat after a long flight. If you are prepared for this, then you will be able to enjoy some of the best beaches, lagoons and Maldives luxury hotels here.

Before booking a holiday in the Maldives, you need to find out a lot about your hotel in the Maldives, especially if it is to be your honeymoon Hotel in the Maldives, the island hideaway of your dreams. You can do a lot worse than to concentrate your search on the South Male Atoll
The South Kaafu or Male Atoll is just below North Kaafu Atoll and this is the place in Maldives where tourism first started.
The whole Male atoll, both North and South is really the tourist centre of the Maldives and has the largest number of resorts. There are a lot of diving and surfing sites on this atoll.
This is quite a large list of Hotels in the Maldives on the South Male Atoll. They are about as close to the airport as you can get. This information can be used as a basis of further investigation before you choose your Hotel in the Maldives.
It's a big decision to make when you book a vacation to the Maldives, because you might feel that one beautiful palm fringed island surrounded by turquoise sea, a multicoloured and faceted reef, and thousands of brightly coloured marine life to view is much like another.
This just isn't true. Each island, each hotel is different.
You need to think about the size of the island, the number of rooms, where the rooms are situated. You need to work out how small and intimate you want it to be, bearing in mind that an island you can walk around in ten minutes may appear to be paradise at first but become claustrophobic very quickly. You might view the boat trip to the island with horror, so you need to know how long the transfer is.
The list of South Male hotels isn't complete, but should form a basis for investigation before you make a decision on your holiday in the Maldives
Anantara Resort Maldives is a 5 star deluxe hotel which opened in 2006, with 110 rooms, it is 35 kms from the airport, and takes 35 minutes in a speedboat.
Biyadhoo Island Resort is a 3 star hotel with 96 rooms, and it is 29 Kms from the airport with a speedboat transfer time of 60 minutes.
Bolifushi Island Resort is a 4 star resort, some 12 Kms. From the airport with 55 rooms, and a 30 minute transfer by speedboat.
Club Rannalhi is a 4 star hotel with 116 rooms, situated 35 Kms from the airport with a 45 minute transfer by speedboat.
Cocoa Island Resort is a 5 star deluxe hotel with 36 rooms, situated 30 Km from the airport, and is a 30 minute transfer by speedboat.
Embudu Village is a 3 star Hotel with 124 rooms, and is 8Kms from the airport, with a 45 minute transfer by speedboat.
Fihalhohi Island Resort is a 3 star resort with 150 rooms, and it is 28Km from the airport with a 60 minute transfer by speedboat.
Fun Island Resort is a 4 star resort with 100 rooms, and it is 38 Kms from the airport with a 45 minute transfer by speedboat.
Kandooma Tourist Resort is a 3 star hotel which has 124 rooms, and is under renovation.
Laguna Maldives is a 5 star resort with 132 rooms, is 12 Km from the airport, and a twenty minute transfer by speedboat.
Olhuveli Beach & Spa is a 4 star hotel with 129 rooms, situated 36 Kms from the airport and is a 45 minute transfer by speedboat.
Rihiveli Maldives is a 4 star hotel with 48 rooms, and is 49 Kms from the airport which is a 45 minute transfer by speedboat.
Taj Exotica Resort & Spa is a 5 star deluxe hotel with 62 villas, and is 5 Kms from the airport and is a 20 minute transfer by speedboat.
Vadoo Island Resort is a 4 star hotel with 31 rooms, situated 5 Km from the airport and is a 15 minute transfer by speedboat.
Vilivaru Island Resort is closed for renovation
You now have some basis on which to investigate your Holiday Hotel in the Maldives and make a decision whether or not the South Male Atoll is the place for you. There are some real Maldives Luxury Hotels here, perfect for a honeymoon in the Maldives, or your Maldives Island Hideaway.

Article Title: Wilson Island On The Great Barrier Reef Is The Perfect Honeymoon Vacation Resort

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
If your perfect honeymoon resort has to be on a tiny coral cay, and it has to be an Australia Honeymoon Package on the Great Barrier Reef, then Wilson Island should tick all the right boxes. It is surrounded by a pristine coral reef and quite the loveliest of beaches.
If you have spent any time in Africa on safari and stayed in a tented camp, then the accommodation on Wilson Island will not be unfamiliar to you, except this is real five star luxury camping, all inclusive, with food that is just out of this world, and a fantastic wine cellar.
When people think of camping, have never been on a camping safari or stayed at Wilson Island they have this idea of sleeping bags and poles, and leaks and cold water showers.
Wilson Island is the perfect Honeymoon Vacation resort, because when they talk tents what they mean is six permanent tents all looking out over the reef and the ocean designed with the guests ultimate comfort in mind.
All of the tents have raised timber floors, King size beds with Duvets, Bedside Tables, Battery operated bedside lights, deck chairs, bathrobes, bath towels, beach towels, toiletries, and daily housekeeping service.
The only drawback is that because of the fact that Wilson Island uses solar power, all the hot showers are in the central amenities building, where each tent has its own private designated area.
So what will you do on Wilson Island as your perfect honeymoon resort.
The short answer is little or nothing, but you could cheerfully snorkel right off the beach where you will see some fantastic fish, and perhaps even a turtle as well.
You could just lie in a hammock and be lazy, or you can walk round the island, picnic on the beach, and end up watching the sunset drinking champagne, or the sunrise with a hot cup of coffee and biscuits.
Wilson is that kind of place, probably idyllic for three or four days with no mobile phone coverage, no children, no television, just the birds, and the crashing of the sea to listen to.
If you are able to entertain yourself, and you don't mind the unorthodox toilet arrangements, or a communal dinner party atmosphere in the evenings, then Wilson Island could be the perfect honeymoon resort.

A Great Barrier Reef vacation will almost always include Great Barrier Reef Snorkelling, Great Barrier reef diving, or at least wading around in shallow water, or walking on coral cays.
You need to be aware that The Great Barrier Reef has several very dangerous marine animals, so you need to be on your guard all the time you are walking on coral, in shallow water, snorkelling or diving.
The most common dangerous animals of the Great Barrier Reef includes jellyfish, several species of fish, sea snakes, octopus, and even certain shellfish that can potentially be fatal to humans.
In fairness if you take the right precautions, and you know what to look out for, you can reduce the danger, and still enjoy the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef on your Great Barrier Reef trip.
The list of dangerous marine animals plus a brief description follows.
Box Jelly Fish.
This is one of the most dangerous creatures on the reef, and can be found swimming close to the shore from November through to March.
It gets its name from the shape of its body, which is a box shaped bell with clusters of tentacles extending from each corner, which can reach up to 3 metres in length. They are nearly invisible because they are so transparent, and the strongest advice is if you want to swim off a beach in the summer months, then swim inside the netted areas.
Their sting is agonising, however a single sting is bearable, but the problems tend to arise from panic, causing entanglement with the tentacles and a lot more stings. Enough venom can kill an adult, or drowning due to the panic. If the tentacles are stuck on a victim then they can be neutralised by pouring vinegar on them
Irukandji Jellyfish
This is very small, being only a few centimetres in diameter, and it is to be found at the northern end of The Great Barrier Reef. They tend to be found in the deeper waters of the reef, but can be swept inshore. Divers and snorkelers are most at risk, and they usually appear in the summer months November to March.
The sting goes unnoticed for possibly as long as half an hour, but then the venom begins to take hold, and it can be strong enough to hospitalise adults. Although it's small it's very dangerous, because you won't see it unless you are specifically looking.
Blue Ringed Octopus
It is the only dangerous octopus in the world, and is the size of a golf ball, and looks cute. The Blue Ringed Octopus has a beak that can penetrate a wet suit and poison that can kill an adult in minutes, and there is no known antidote.
It lives in rock pools and coral, and is very dangerous when the blue rings glow an electric blue, when it feels threatened. It is spectacular when this happens, and it attracts children, so they need to be warned not to touch anything!!
The bite doesn't hurt, and will happen if you pick it up. Within a few minutes the venom will give breathing difficulties and nausea, and worse still if it triggers an allergic reaction.
Cone Shells
Cone shells look very pretty but this shellfish is one of the most dangerous animals on the Great Barrier Reef.
The problem is that there are many different types of Cone Shells all over the Reef, some harmless, and some so deadly they can kill a human, as they have the most potent neurotoxins known about, in their venom.
If you add to this they have attractive shells then holidaymakers pick them up, and if threatened the Cone Shell will fire a harpoon like dart into the victim. You will know if this happens or if you stand on one when walking, because the sting will be felt straight away.
Lion Fish
Lion-fish are members of the Scorpion Fish family and are found all over the Great Barrier Reef. They are difficult to see, and much sought after, but they hide up in crevices and small caves. The fact that they like shallow water makes them a threat to swimmers, because they have venomous and extremely large fin spines that can penetrate the skin, giving immediate pain resulting in muscle swelling, cramps, nausea, fainting and even death.
They can be recognised because they have stripes similar to a zebra
Stone Fish
Stonefish are ugly looking creatures, mottled green - brown in colour, with 13 dorsal spines that release a poisonous toxin when pressed, so stepping on one is a very painful experience. The pain can be excruciating and death is a possibility..
They are found mainly in the warmer northern half of the Great Barrier Reef, and they live on top of rocks or the seabed, where they lie motionless,, and their camouflage colours make them almost impossible to see. They are therefore a danger at low tide when walking along the beach, so footwear with thick soles is important. The severity of the pain and the symptoms will depend on the depth of penetration of the poisonous spine.
Finally there are 15 species of sea snakes on the Great Barrier Reef, and all of them produce lethal venom. The good news is they have small fangs and aren't aggressive, and no-one has died from a bite.
Stingrays can be very unpleasant if you stand on their tail, as they whip up and can cut you very badly. You must ensure your anti tetanus is up to date before leaving home.
All this makes depressing reading, but remember tens of thousands of people take a Great Barrier Reef vacation every year, and only a very few are unlucky, so be sensible, take precautions.

Article Title: What I Know And Remember About Baseball - Hot Bats

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
Banjo hitters are always on the look out for hot bats to get them out of the cellar. What they do not realize is that getting on base at a higher frequency outweighs the over the wall thrill of crushing the baseball.
At the amateur level the playing field was leveled by having bats certified. The figures and ratios for these different levels of certification were designed to protect defensive players. Once the batter puts the ball into play, the defender only has their glove, skill and ability to keep them out of harms way.
Yet even with these protections there are fatal results. Most notably was a promising college pitcher that for what ever the reason was not able to protect himself from the ball being struck. Sadly, a line drive to the forehead resulted in a fatal injury.
Ball Exit Speed Ratio (BESR) is required to be listed with all non-wood bats used in the NCAA which is the limit of the liveliness. Certification process is performed by the University of Massachusetts at Lowell Baseball Research Center. UMLBRC is the official certification center for non wood baseball bats used in NCAA and NHFS leagues. Manufacturers previously were allowed to certify their own bats but his was eliminated in 2006. BESR is a mathematical prediction based the physics by applying the law of conversion of angular momentum to the ball-bat interaction.
Which is completely a mouthful but if you want all the nitty gritty equations, you can find them at the Baseball Research Center web site which is hosted by the University of Massachusetts – Lowell. All the technical information about how the BESR gets its name and what procedures are taken to certify bats are in the White Paper there.
Every year the marketing experts will tell you that theirs is the best bat for the buck. It is their job to convey to the public why theirs is the best and why you should have no issues with spending upwards of $400 to improve your game.
Marketing folks tend to pass over the fact that all non-wood bats require proper break in and temperatures to perform to the levels established in the lab. Add to this that batting cages are great for swing development they do little if noting to facilitate bat break in. Batters must simply hit real leather covered baseballs to break in new baseball bats.
Most baseball bat owners do not need to worry about varying weather as it is the select few that travel outside their dominate weather region. The accepted rule of thumb is never use composites under 65 degrees. So, for those in the northern states, wood and metal a better as they can handle the temperature ranges. Also, what may be a killer bat for a player that uses it in Arizona can be a complete dud should they travel to western Washington as the coastal air is heavy and generally cooler. This combination reduces ball flight via friction and weight in the ball while in tandem reducing the sweet spot on the composite and metal bats.
Manufactures look for ways to improve performance while attaining the BESR ratings. Backroom machinist have developed ways to "juice" or "roll" metal and composite bats to gain several feet of ball travel. All in the name of gaining a mechanical advantage over the opposition.
The scary part of shade tree bat modifiers is they may be creating something that is so un-safe it verges on dangerous. Not being a metallurgists and changing the way a baseball bat is shaped or designed to respond to high velocity impacts can lead to serious injury. Everyone in the vicinity of the impact is now at risk. Batter, Catcher and Umpire are all relatively close to where a 9 ounce ball traveling upwards of 75 miles per hour collideswith a 28 ounce bat rotating at 70 miles per hour. That is a whole lot of energy being redirected in an instant.
Worse yet would be the change in ownership of the bat. If an individual wants to modify their bat and place themselves at risk is one thing, but to sell it off at a garage sale to an unsuspecting baseball player is ludicrous. No conscientious person would hand someone a live grenade minus the pin. Not knowing when, how or to what extent a bat will fail is not different.
Player bat selection needs to be made on the basis of feel, comfort and confidence. These three things must be present at the approach to the plate, waiting at the plate, through the entire swing until the bat is released from the hands as the player make progress to fist base.
Lighter is generally better and the player can develop greater rotational velocity. Changes in mass do affect the response of the ball. Do not sacrifice sure footedness and balance for weight. Players may have short term or inconsistent gains with heavier bats. Trading for higher batting averages will always outweigh the occasional home run.
So, what makes for a hot bat? Hot bats are those that each player individually selects which provides for the best possible batting average at their skill level. Be it wood, metal or composite, if the player can consistently make contact with the ball from various pitchers, you indeed have a hot bat.

The award-winning, five-star Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort is one of the most renowned vacation destinations in the South Pacific. Located on the island of Vanua Levu on 17 acres of a coconut plantation, the accommodations overlook the peaceful waters of Savusavu Bay. The acclaimed resort is an international favorite for romance, honeymoons and weddings; scuba diving; and families, who want to combine heavenly surroundings and exceptional dining with an unsurpassed range of eco-friendly activities.

Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands resort is the only resort that employs a full-time marine biologist to help visitors appreciate the underwater world of Fiji.
The Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort is an island resort, which means there are no televisions, phones, wireless internet access, etc.
If you need these things to have a great vacation then choose another resort.
On the other hand if you are happy in the company of friends and the wonderful people of Fiji, then this is the place for you.
The layout and the accommodation at the resort were both upscale and luxurious, much better than the photographs led us to believe.
We stayed in a garden bure, which was 30ft behind the Beach-front bure. The bure was large and breezy with an overhead fan. If you need air conditioning then you are in the wrong resort!! You will find a number of bug repellents in the bure, and you will need them for there is a mosquito problem.
The bathroom was quite spacious and well supplied with thick towels. There was a mini-bar and all sorts of drinks that were replenished daily. There were also a coffee and tea makers with different varieties of tea.
I'd opt for a Garden Bure, if only because there isn't much of a beach at the beachfront, and it is a lot windier.
If you're into beaches then go somewhere else.
The beach is poor, in fact all you will find are rock pools and mangroves, and significantly the small beach there is did not have any sunbathers on it. It is more of a sandy strip full of shells that leads into a coral tide area. This tide pools are great for studying local wild life. The best entry into the water is from the pier.
The staff were some of the best I've encountered and everyone was very friendly and accommodating.
The food was exquisite and gourmet with lots of fresh fish, probably best described as light island fare.
One could order a second helping of anything.
Everyday brought a new menu both at lunch and dinner.
There is a good wine list, but the wines by the glass were not so good.
There was a wide choice at breakfast.
There are two major shortfalls here, apart from the lack of beach in a Pacific Ocean Island paradise!!
The facilities for small children are superb, with the all encompassing Bula Club, however if your children are slightly older but not old enough to scuba dive, there are all sorts of rules and regulations for them to keep them out of adult vision and hearing.
The Children's food was somewhat of the fast food variety, and I found it intolerable that children could not use the adult salt water pool at certain times.
In addition the scuba diving was not all it might have been.
Finally – beware falling coconuts, you will be asked to sign a waiver clause in case you get hit!!

The Fantastic Palm Island welcomed us with open arms, and we are so glad we chose it for our vacation.
Everything about it seemed to us to be special. What a fantastic place, especially if it is peace and quiet you are after. It is a secluded, private, hassle free resort, with a great beach, and palm trees set by a turquoise sea. If you don't like the beach, then don't go as the pool is on the small side, although to be fair, uncrowded due to the sheer lack of people!!
Our arrival set the scene for our vacation, as we were met on the jetty by four members of staff, including the manager, given cocktails, escorted to our room which was all very impressive. We were impressed by the staff, from the attention to detail in the room, to the way most members of staff greeted us by name – a small thing that makes a difference.
If you are going to Palm Island you must understand this is not the place to go if you want to be waited on hand and foot. It is not a five star, terribly smart, full 24 hour service, busy busy, need to be seen type of place.
I can list what Palm Island is outstanding for very easily, I've already mentioned a few of them.
If you want peace and quiet, no crowds at all, so you can unwind and relax properly. Perhaps you want to be able to roam about without restrictions either walking, jogging, or cycling, and be able to view wild life like iguanas, turtles, even humming birds.
Perhaps snorkelling is a priority, being able to easily reach world class reefs like the Tobago Cays, or you are a beach bum and like nothing better than feeling you are Robinson Crusoe on your own private island.
Maybe there comes a time on your vacation when you want to socialise with your fellow guests in a nice bar, and the interaction with the bar staff is important to your vacation, then for all these reasons Palm Island is ideal
Whilst accommodation and Food play a large part in any vacation, somehow their importance on Palm Island is secondary to the 'holiday lifestyle' you get on Palm Island. It's not that they aren't of high quality because the food is terrific especially in the evenings, with a different menu every night, and the rooms are lovely although air conditioning might be aproblem, somehow they take second place to all the other plusses.
Palm Island is definitely worth visiting.

On the North-west coast of Bali, the Matahari Beach Resort is situated right beside a fine sand lava beach at Pemuteran.
There are 32 suites available in 16 bungalows which, faithful to ancient tradition, are decorated with lavish wood carving and stonework.
Each bungalow is only a few yards from the beach and has its own verandah.
A very strong selling point for this resort is the superb level of service, and although it is quite isolated this was one of the reasons behind choosing the Matahari Beach Resort. You can arrive by helicopter, it is I believe a spectacular short flight from the airport, we didn't arrive that way because my wife won't get into one, and I wasn't really prepared to pay the extra. The limo supplied was very comfortable but it was a three hour drive through some beautiful scenery, but it is a bit of a flog after a long flight.
I have to say it was pretty well worth it, for not only the setting, a black lava sand beach is a bit off putting until you get used to it.
The food was spectacular at the main restaurant The' Dewi Ramona' or the 'Paon' a traditional Balinese kitchen on the beach, where cooking is over a traditional wood fire.
The swimming pool is excellent, but it is a bit tedious to spend 50 minutes in a boat to get to the snorkelling, diving and water sports activities.
The rooms were quite lovely, with the usual facilities, and thank goodness air conditioning, very comfortable large beds, and a huge marble tub.
I'm not sure I'd go again, the drive is a bit off putting, but a very nice hotel if you crave peace and quiet, and wonderful scenery, and if that is important to you, then the Matahari would be ideal

We have all seen it, grounders, pop flies, line drives and throws seemingly placed in the defenders glove, the en gratis easy out. More often though with younger players something goes awry. Passed balls, dropped, juggling, in and outs are symptoms of a breakdown of player skills.
As Baseball Players on defense, the utmost responsibility is to control the baseball. Players can gain control by catching, knocking down or otherwise keeping the baseball put into play within their grasp between them and the base in play. Baseball control stops the offense from advancing the bases. If the offense cannot advance, they cannot score which is the object of the game.
Baseball playing skills are really a simple matter. The game itself can be broken down into a few elements as well. Pitchers initiate the play by throwing. Batters continue the play by hitting what the Pitcher hurls. Defenders execute their duties by a catch, a throw and a catch. When offensive player advancement is halted the play is over. Just five simple steps to accomplish.
What happens is steps three and five which should be automatic anatomic response can be anything but automatic. Bouncing hops off the infield, sun in the eyes, poor throws are just a few of the wrinkles in our five step game that adds variety and drama to the all time American pastime.
Skills of catching a baseball start with a good athletic stance. Knees slightly bent, weight forward on the balls of the feet allowing for quick movement in any direction. Hands are out front waiting to respond in any direction the ball may travel. When fielding, the players bottom is lowered in response to the approaching ball. The defender has already aligned themselves with the path of the ball.
To receive the baseball with the glove, the glove hand is pointed down to be perpendicular with the ground. When the glove is at this angle, a missed catch will result in the ball bounding in front of the defender. Off angle misses are simple geometry, the baseball can bounce anywhere. A great hazard of playing baseball is taking it in the teeth from a bad hop or passed ball.
When Players place their gloves off angle it is impossible to predetermine where the ball will go. Just a few near misses during practice can cause the Player to develop bad habits. Taking their eyes off the ball, twitch turn of the head to flat out intimidation of the baseball are all driven from a lack of confidence that the Player can protect themselves from the ball with their glove.
Fielders complete the catch by covering the ball in their glove with their throw hand. A common description for this catching position is the alligator. Like the jaws of this water living predator, the hands are placed heal to heal and spread apart prior to receiving the ball, as the baseball enters the glove the Players hands clamp down and cover it. This method aids in preventing the ball from bouncing out of the glove.
Concurrently with covering the ball with the alligator motion, soft hands are implemented to combat the energy within the traveling baseball. Automotive shock absorbers are an excellent example of deceleration. At impact the hands retract quickly, transferring the energy from the baseball to the glove. As the hands decelerate so does the ball. Within fractions of a second the balls energy is dissipated and the fielder is now in control.
Repetitive drills bring the basic mechanics of the fielders duties. Breaking down each motion into individual movements instill the muscle memory necessary to execute a successful play. Player technique is the compilation of the individual skills necessary used to complete the active portion of play they are engaged in at the moment.
Situational drills need to be incorporated with technical drills. The more experience a Player has with, if this happens then I do that, will transfer to the field as confidence. When Players have full knowledge of what their role is in any given situation, they tend to complete their tasks with high success. Success breads confidence, confidence reinforces success.
So, we have covered all the basics of the catch but there are still those moments when your best Player just folds in the moment. As a coach you have done the drills. Situational scenarios are a regular part of each practice. All your players can do every movement in their sleep, yet breakdowns still happen.
Whether it be Player anxiety or simply the heat of the moment, players get into a hurry to move from step one to step four. Pleasing the coach or team mates, individual Players will rush through their motions with the belief that the faster they move is the only hope of making the out.
Often overlooked during practice are the situational drills that spur player intensity. These are also the hardest to create during practice where Players are in their comfort zones. Dividing your team into team into groups of three where they compete against each other in drills will add the last element needed to develop.
Throwing relay races, round robin and pickle are good drills that add high excitement to the practice. Relay is three Players where the man in the middle catches and throws. With 3 or more teams the action gets quite brisk. Round robin uses a four man team, separate the players into fifteen yard squares, clockwise, Player one throws a grounder to Player two the runs to where Player two is standing, Player two does the same with Player three and the players progress around the square.

At the on set of any Baseball season, parents have the high expectation that their child is key to the teams' success. This to a degree is true. The success of the team depends on each and every player. Problems arise between the perspectives of the Parents, Players and the Coach.
We each have our own self image which is likely quite different to how the rest of the world sees us. This also applies to our vision of our children. Crushing the ball for Dad in the back yard is great, but it does not always transfer to the diamond. By no means should any parent expect backyard confidence to compare with on field performance. It is a bar that will likely get knocked off the stands each time.
Coach's of all experience levels are the most qualified to position and play the players. Coach has a 'vision' of how all the parts will work in tandem. As a parent, we have to respect that in all levels of play. This person stood up to take the responsibility of being Baseball Coach when no one else did.
Its a responsibility that takes a substantial amount of abuse. I have witnessed parents and grand-parents rip down a coach during a game in an effort to take out the weaker players and restructure the vision. His solution was quite enlightening. Every 5 to 10 minutes, he rotated all the players to different positions, pitchers, catchers as well as on and off the bench. They lost horribly, but from that moment on he was allowed to Coach the rest of the season without bleacher badger. It worked because as the 'key' players were rotated into the 'right' position, they all made errors from simple catching mistakes to 'why did you through to first when the runner was stealing third'. He essentially had the loss (over 30 to 0) a complete community effort. As everyone was responsible for the loss, those who were coaching from the bleachers got a taste they could not spit out.
Will this tactic work for everyone? I truly have no idea, but it's a solution that I will not soon forget.
Parent participation is wonderful. Get involved, get in the game. Here are some things to keep in mind as a parent
1- Don't arrive at the field when practice is supposed to start. If the scheduled time is 5:30, be there by 5:15. It cuts down the stress of rush driving and the hour or so of scheduled practice time is not lost on greetings and jibber jabber.
2- Be helpful, Time lost setting up the field or exercise is just that lost. If it's not written, ask the Coach what the plan is for the day and what you can do to help things along. Players want to do just that, play. Idle time lost while setting up the next skill drill looses the focus gained from the previous one.
3- Never correct, yell, discipline or otherwise diminish the authority of the Coach in front of the Players or Other Parents. If you have concerns or comments, set aside time in your day to speak with the coach in private. It may be your perspective that needs the correction.
4- Respect everyone. Coach's', parents, umpires, players, opposing teams, it does not matter who or what they are in relation to your team. Everyone deserves respect that does not have to be earned. Respecting others will result in others respecting you.
Ponder what it is to play baseball. What do you want your children to take away with them when their playing days are relegated to church league. For myself I hope for, respect for themselves, confidence in their abilities, recognition of their limits, work ethic of practicing and the concept of working together with a team and the lifelong friendships it can bring.

Article Title: Why A Low Carb Diet Is A Different Weight Loss Experience

If you are no stranger to the diet world, you are probably wondering what the difference is between the low calorie diets and the low carb diets. Scientists doing high protein low carb diet research have found that there is a dramatic difference in the way our bodies respond to the two basic types of dieting.
The low carbohydrate diets have one obvious difference - they are much lower in starches and sugars. But that is not the important difference in this case. It's how our metabolism and bodily functions react to the change in food intake.
It's a "Need" Versus "Want" Dilemma
In the more traditional approach to weight loss programs, the main emphasis is placed on the amount of food ingested and the number of calories consumed. A major difference with the low carb diets is the focus tends to be not on how much you eat, but rather how much you want to eat. BIG difference here. It's a matter of limiting the supply of food to the body versus altering the body's demand for food.
Our bodies require certain levels of calories just to function properly. Determining exactly what that number is can be next to impossible to compute. Our requirements fluctuate daily depending on our levels of activity, and can vary up to 25% from person to person. So, is it better to push calories into your system without knowing what is really required, or letting your body tell you what it needs?
The Problem with the Typical Reduced Calorie Diet
A major issue with your host of low calorie diets is that it isn't natural. They generally advocate starving your system by eating less, therefore consuming fewer calories. This may work for a short while, but your body will fight back. Common reactions include:
* Difficulty concentrating
* Experiencing food cravings
* Fatigue
* Sense of constant hunger
* Irritability
* Depression
Of course, there are some individuals who can power through these reactions through sheer will power, but the odds state that most will lose this battle with their body's biology.
If You Can't Beat 'Em, Join 'Em
Now that you know why the simple reduced calorie diets generally fail, let's look at an alternative - the low carbohydrate diet. If you can make your body require less food, while burning body fat for energy, you will lose weight. The fact is that individuals on a low carb diet lower their calorie intake by default, a natural added benefit.
The result will be that your body will seem satisfied even with the reduced food intake. This is key! You will begin to work with your body instead of fighting its natural tendencies for storing more and more fuel. High protein low carb diet research indicates that individuals who respond well to this diet don't experience the feeling that their bodies are constantly craving more food. So, as the saying goes; "Go with the current rather than trying to fight it" - it's a much easier and rewarding way to get where you're heading!

Do you want your employer, or prospective employer, to take your new distance learning degree or certificate program seriously? Of course you do - why else would you have invested the time to earn this advanced degree or special certification? It is important for your employer to take your distance learning degree, or certificate program, seriously and appreciate the value of all your hard work and the new skills and knowledge you have obtained.
Advancing your career through continuing education, whether online or at a traditional university, is a serious matter. You should expect the value of your online education degree or certification to be recognized by your present, or prospective, employer as long as they believe that your online school is credible. So, firstly, you can help yourself by following these two steps:
1) Make sure your distance learning school is fully accredited by a regional accrediting agency. This adds credibility and integrity to your educational accomplishments and real value to your degree or certificate.
2) Make sure that your online degree or certification is germane to the field that you are working or pursuing employment. A degree in Education will most likely not help you advance your career if you are an accountant.
If you are still concerned that your boss, or future employer, may be skeptical about the value of a degree earned through online courses, there are additional steps that you can take to put their fears to rest. These tips are not intended to deceive, but to paint your distance learning degree in the best possible light.
These tips are relatively straight forward and should be considered before selecting your online college or school.
* As mentioned above, one of the most important steps to take when you choose your distance learning program and school is to ensure that they are accredited by the appropriate regional agency.
* If possible, try to find online courses at a university that also has an active "brick and mortar" campus. More and more traditional colleges and universities are offering both in-class and online courses as they start to identify the benefits of online education for both school and student.
* Try to select a school that does not promote "online" or "distance learning" in their school name. Today, most schools offering online classes do not follow this practice, but there are still a few that do - avoid these institutions if this is a concern.
* Most credible distance learning schools are reachable during normal business hours. Make sure that your selected school has a "live" person answering their phones in case a prospective employer calls to verify your degree or request a copy of your school transcripts.
* Request a sample of the school's transcripts that would be forwarded to an employer. Make sure that the format and headings appear professional and do not contain references to online or distance learning classes or degrees.
Following these simple steps will give your distance learning degree or certificate program the best opportunity to be viewed by those few cynical employers with the same respect as a traditional school's degree. You worked hard for your online degree and are proud of it. So shouldn't you take the time to make sure it is given the consideration it deserves?

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
This is a question that has been asked a number of times by our young teen readers. They are generally beyond puberty and are experiencing growth spurts that are stretching their bodies, and skin, to the max. So, can teenagers get stretch marks? Of course they can!
Even though a teenager's skin will tend to have more elasticity and flexibility than adults, they can still experience stretch marks because of rapid body growth. As their hormonal balance changes and their bodies undergo dramatic changes, body shape moves toward that of a mature adult.
As this process takes place, especially for females, the hips (including buttocks) and thighs can quickly take on more weight. They may also experience rapid growth of their breasts. Despite their youthful skin, the rapidity in which the skin is expected to adjust to this new growth may be overwhelming. The result – skin damage in the form of stretch marks.
Stretch marks can also develop in the teen years if weight becomes an issue. As a matter of fact, being overweight in your formative years can almost guarantee that some skin damage will occur as your body grows. This can place excessive strain on your skin tissue at a time when weight should be kept under control.
How to Prevent Stretch Marks in Your Teens
If you are concerned about developing stretch marks as your body grows, you can take actions that will help you beat the odds. To accomplish this, you will need to focus on a program that emphasizes skin health. The following skin care tips can really make a difference:
~ Maintain an Ideal Weight
Putting excess strain on your skin's tissue, at a time of maximum body growth, by gaining additional pounds can be a dangerous combination. Try to maintain an ideal weight for your height and frame size. Not only will your skin appreciate it, but you will look and feel much better.
~ Use Quality Moisture Creams
Help your teenage skin by applying a generous portion of skin moisturizer every morning after your shower and then in the evening before bed. Apply the cream or lotion to the high risk areas (thighs, buttocks, breasts, upper arms, etc.) to help your skin stay healthy and supple.
~ Take Nutritional Supplements
Certain vitamins are suggested to help keep the skin soft and flexible when taken on a regular basis. Vitamin E is well known for its qualities as a skin and hair maintenance supplement. A good multivitamin, supplemented with a natural Vitamin E capsule, will help your body at a time when it is under extreme stress.

Article Title: Telescope Or Telescope Binoculars - What's The Difference?

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
The basic difference between binoculars and telescope binoculars is their intended use. A pair of field binoculars is generally used for magnifying a set object that is relatively close and within a certain field of vision. However, telescope binoculars are made specifically for stargazing and possess a much larger focal length than traditional binoculars.
Why Use Telescope Binoculars vs Telescope
The truth is that a person can see more of the night's sky with a good pair of binoculars than an inexpensive telescope. And another thing, it can be easier to peer through telescope binoculars with both eyes open than through a telescope with one eye closed.
Viewing the stars and planets through a telescope for any length of time can certainly tire your eye muscles and actually cause focusing problems. As a matter of fact, there are more and more amateur astronomers looking into the benefits of telescope binoculars because of the ease of use. These stargazing binoculars can be mounted on a tripod for additional stability, and a better view of the cosmos.
How Telescope Binoculars Work
Firstly, these binoculars are designed specifically for stargazing and feature a wider aperture opening which allows more light to enter the lenses. This provides for a brighter field of view and the object being observed. The prisms on telescope binoculars are different in that they are better suited for astronomy. Their prisms actually absorb less light making the viewed object stand out and appear brighter. They are especially useful when viewing in low light conditions.
How to Select the Right Telescope Binoculars
There are a number of different kinds of binoculars on the market today that can be used for astronomy. But one thing to insist on is that your desired telescope binoculars have what is called a porro prism. This prism is geared for low light viewing and ideal for stargazing.
The more common prism utilized in binoculars is called a roof prism and is not conducive to good nighttime viewing. But technological advancements have allowed for the upgrading of optical and lens capabilities and improved viewing quality. Despite these upgrades, you will still benefit by using the porro prism binoculars. Their quality is better for astronomical uses and generally cost less.
Stabilize Your Telescope Binoculars for Better Stargazing
When selecting telescope binoculars, make sure they have the capability to be mounted on a stable object, preferably a tripod. When looking at smaller objects in the skies, any movement of your binoculars will result in a blurred or shaky image.
Whether you are stargazing with telescope binoculars or a standard telescope, a fixed placement will enhance your viewing experience. It is really worth the cost of purchasing a tripod and avoiding all the frustration that comes with constant re-focusing on your desired celestial body.
Telescope binoculars are an alternative to the traditional telescope and can increase your stargazing pleasure. If you prefer viewing the night skies with both eyes open, this is the perfect choice for you!

If you are into outdoor landscaping and gardening, you obviously spend a considerable amount of time outdoors. And as the weather turns from the cold and rainy days of winter to warm spring days, visions of crocuses, tulips and outdoor barbeques take over. But spending so much time outside, especially doing the things you love, can certainly make you lose track of the time. So, why not add an outdoor clock to your patio area for everyone to enjoy?
Outdoor clocks add a nice touch to any garden or outdoor entertainment area. They also give gardeners a way of keeping track of the time as they work on their lawn and gardens. Better yet, they can add a decorative touch to your entertainment areas as well. And as you know, these areas can be difficult to decorate, especially in locations with varying weather and climates.
Will Weather Be An Issue?
Despite your climate, it is always best to use outdoor clocks that are waterproof and weatherproof. These clocks are usually sealed with weatherproofing sealant and gaskets to ensure that the rain and dust stay out of the clock's mechanisms. Most outdoor clocks will be clearly labeled as such, but it pays to double check the packaging just to make sure.
Even though most outdoor clocks are manufactured to be weatherproof, you can protect them further by selecting a location for them that is sheltered from the elements. The best location for an outside wall clock is higher on the wall where it can benefit from the protection of the overhang (eaves) of your roof.
If you live in the Northern climates, the ultimate protection during the winter months is to take your clock down and store it in a warm, dry location. Before putting your clock in storage, perform any required maintenance per the operating manual and you can be ensured of enjoying your clock through many seasons.
Outdoor Clock Features
Can outdoor clocks do more than just provide the time? Of course they can. The more elaborate outside clocks have a host of features that add to the functionality and usefulness of the clock. Some come with a thermometer and barometer to monitor the weather. Add a rain gauge and you will have a bona fide weather station at your disposal.
A very nice feature that is offered with some of the higher-end models is a wireless display. This allows your outside clock to transmit data to a second display unit inside your home. Imagine being able to have the time, temperature, and barometric pressure at your fingertips whether you are on the patio or inside the house.
And don't forget, outdoor clocks also make the perfect gift for your friends and family members who enjoy your passion for outdoor living. They especially make a terrific housewarming gift for friends that have just become new homeowners.
So, whether you are looking to decorate your porch, patio, gazebo, or other outside living area, an outdoor clock can be the perfect choice.

If you are new to the distance learning scene, you will quickly find out that there are a number of factors that you must consider to ensure that your educational journey is a pleasant one. This is really no different than starting your education in a traditional "brick and mortar" college or university, except you are taking your classes online.
With a little common sense and some research, most students can find a school that is a good fit for their own study habits and lifestyle. This is a key factor to consider because you will be expected to manage your studies, work schedule, and home life in a way that will allow you to accomplish your education goals. This will be much easier if you select a school with a curriculum and study schedule that complements your lifestyle.
To help you get off on the 'right' foot with your online education, we thought the following tips would help you sidestep a few of the most common online student issues:
Finding the Right School
Probably the most daunting task the online student faces is selecting the right school. Avoid schools that have a reputation for being diploma mills. The degrees issued by these schools are generally worthless while potential employers are often well aware of the names of these questionable educational institutions. Luckily, these schools are the exception.
There are many credible colleges and universities that can provide you with a top-of-the-line education at reasonable tuition costs. Your first course of action in the selection of an online college or university is to request a school catalogue and review their programs, online courses, and student support activities. Of course, an extremely important step you MUST take is to verify that your prospective school is accredited and that your online courses also have the appropriate accreditation.
Keeping Your Online Education Costs Under Control
There is no way to avoid this fact of life – education can be pricy. But it doesn't have to send you into bankruptcy either. Ask your prospective college if they have any programs, including student loans, to assist with educational costs.
And certainly don't rule out scholarships and grants just because you are enrolling in online courses. There is a surprising amount of funding available for online education, and you don't need to have a 4.0 grade point to be eligible. Receiving a scholarship or grant is an ideal way to dramatically reduce your education costs, but it will take some work to find all these funds.
Don't Forget to Transfer All of Your Credits
In many cases, you will not have to start from scratch if you have earned credits at other schools. Be sure to send your transcripts from your previous school to your online college and request that your counselor review your records. Even if course equivalencies are not granted initially, you may be able to petition to receive credits anyways. Just state your case as clearly and logically as possible and leave the emotional aspects out.
There are a few schools that will grant life experience credits based on testing or a review of your portfolio. This may be a long shot, but a question that should be asked of your counselor. You may get a pleasant surprise!
We hope that these tips will help you on your way to a successful distance learning experience. Remember - doing a little research up front can save you a world of grief somewhere down the road. Don't contemplate it – just do it!

Article Title: What Are Your Stretch Mark Treatment Options?

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
As you have probably read, a stretch mark treatment comes in a variety of forms. They range from skin creams to skin massage to the most radical form - surgery. Each of these treatments has its pros and cons. The good news is that they are all effective to varying degree.
We believe that the best stretch mark treatment is the one that works for you. Forget all the claims and marketing hype. It is a fact that some people respond better to a certain stretch mark remedy than others. Unfortunately, finding the right option may involve a little trial and error on your part, so you need to be flexible and keep an open mind when evaluating each remedy. Here are some of the most popular stretch mark treatments available today:
Stretch Mark Creams
These stretch mark remedies are the easiest to use and can be very effective at reducing the appearance of the stretch marks. Can they eliminate the stretch mark itself – of course not. They work by repairing and rejuvenating the damaged skin. In the process, the skin will appear more natural and will fade the stretch marks.
Some of the better creams are quite effective at repairing the damaged skin. The results are quite impressive with the stretch marks becoming barely visible. This approach to stretch mark treatment is the most convenient approach because it can be done at home without a doctor's prescription.
If this option is attractive to you, and many women do swear by these creams, stick with the higher quality stretch mark cream products. You will see results quicker and the effects will be more dramatic.
The Retinoid Option
These are retinoid medications that work by removing the layers of damaged skin a little at a time. This allows for new skin to form, providing a more natural color and texture. They go by the more common names of tretinoin, isotretinoin and retinaldehyde (retin A).
This remedy can be effective, but a common side effect is skin irritation. These compounds generally require a prescription and the treatments need to be done under proper medical supervision. Obviously, the cost of these treatments is much higher than the home therapy option.
Laser Therapy at Work
This is a relatively new stretch mark remedy and is starting to become a more popular treatment option for stretch mark removal. It works by repairing your skin's natural synthesis of collagen, helping to fill in the stretch mark. A benefit of laser therapy is that it can penetrate deeper into the skin than the stretch mark creams and reach the layer where the collagen is produced.
The procedures are relatively pain-free, but the number of sessions required will depend on the size of the stretch marks and the area being treated. The downside of this option is that it involves a major time commitment and major investment.
The Ultimate Stretch Mark Remover - Cosmetic Surgery
This is the only treatment that can claim to be a permanent solution to stretch mark removal. In this procedure, the damaged skin is actually removed. But don't get too excited yet! This is a serious medical procedure that has its risks. So before you consider this option seriously, a consultation with your dermatologist is recommended. Another downside to this solution is that this type of procedure is usually not covered by medical insurance and the costs can be EXORBITANT.
To find the best stretch mark treatment for you will require some serious thought on your part. Remember – be flexible in trying different stretch mark remedies and keep an open mind. And above all, be patient! Your stretch marks didn't appear overnight, so they will take time to respond to your selected treatments.

Article Title: Why A Telescope Mount Is A Necessity For Stargazing

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
If you have ever tried looking through a telescope without a telescope mount to steady your equipment, you understand the difficulty of focusing on a set object in the night skies. Compound that problem with a heavenly body that is actually moving across the sky and you realize that it is almost impossible to track this object. There is no doubt, stability of your telescope is key to enjoyable stargazing.
Purpose of a Telescope Mount
A telescope mount provides a stable platform for your telescope, whether it is a refracting telescope, reflecting telescope, Dobsonian telescope, or catadiotric telescope. A telescope mount will ensure that your viewing of a celestial body is not interrupted by unexpected movement. It also determines how you will position your body relative to the telescope to view the night's sky, determining how comfortable you will be over any extended period of stargazing.
Types of Telescope Mounts
Altazimuth telescope mounts are generally used on a Dobsonian type telescope. These telescopes look like a large canister and are mounted on a chassis that provides limited mounting capabilities. With this type of mount, the telescope can be adjusted in up and down or left and right positions. This range of movement in a telescope mount is generally fine for the beginner and intermediate astronomer.
Equatorial mounts are more advanced and allow for greater movement to coincide with the movement of planet Earth. As good as this sounds, there is a level of skill required by the user. The user will need to understand the planet movement and be required to make minor adjustments to the telescope mount. This type of mount is usually reserved for higher quality telescopes, so it is really geared for the intermediate to advanced astronomer. However, with a little experience and practice, the mount could be used by most stargazers.
In this hi-tech era, computers have become an integral part of astronomy and are used to move and track heavenly bodies. Well, an advanced telescope mount, though expensive, is available that provides this kind of computer tracking and superior viewing options. This mount even facilitates the viewing through the computer monitor as well as the eyepiece, with a few clicks of your mouse moving the mount into position.
Choosing the Right Mount
In choosing the right mount, you must first determine what the intended use of the telescope is. Other considerations are the skill level and specific needs of the operator. Determining the type of terrain the mount will be used on will dictate the stability requirements. And, of course, your astronomy budget will play a major role in what type of telescope mount you will purchase.
Choose a mount that will allow for a comfortable body position for times of extended viewing. Nothing can ruin a stargazing experience faster than being required to contort your body in unnatural positions to get a satisfactory view of your desired object.
So, to choose the right telescope mount, take the time and effort to research the different brands of telescope mounts and the various quality levels available. Then, and only then, choose the one that best suits your needs and falls within your budget limits. It can make the difference between a comfortable, enjoyable stargazing experience and a cramped, short-lived outing.

The iPod alarm clock is not an iPod itself, but an alarm clock that is made specifically to work with your mini music player. Most of these clocks are built with two or more speakers to provide much better sound reproduction than can be attained with a regular alarm clock radio. You can expect superior sound with richer midrange and full bass sound in a desktop model.
The Benefits of Waking Up on Your Own Terms
The beauty of these alarm clocks is that you can program your favorite morning tunes to play at a certain time to nudge you awake from your deep slumber. To help, these clocks also have the classic alarm buzzer in case you need a little extra incentive to get up in the morning. Of course, if you are not quite ready to face the day's challenges, it has a snooze button that let's you finish that dream that was just getting exciting!
Another benefit is that the iPod alarm clock is not restricted to just your iPod tunes, but incorporates an AM/FM radio in case you want to catch your favorite morning DJ show. The radio station will also play through the same sound system as the iPod and provide you with outstanding quality sound.
The iPod clock has an automatic reset feature that sets the alarm, and wake up music, to the same time every day until changed. So, if waking to a particular favorite tune and set time every day is good for you, this clock can make it happen. If you finally get bored of the same old music, changing the setting is as easy as a click of a button.
This is truly one of the coolest clocks for waking you in the morning that is available today. The iPod alarm clock combines the unruly task of waking you each day with the high quality sound of your favorite songs. If you need to be up and out the door by a certain time every morning, this alarm clock is the only way to do it!

Tired of your traditional clocks with just a few chimes or chirps? Well, a company out of Japan, Rhythm Clock Company, has taken the world of animated and musical clocks one step further. Established in 1950, they developed what is now the standard for sound and motion clocks. Their rhythm clocks are not some cheap promotional clock, but are high quality, musical timepieces. They display magical motion and brilliant sound for your entertainment.
What Does a Rhythm Clock Do?
If you have never seen a rhythm wall clock in action, you are in for a real treat. These amazing clocks not only announce the time, but put on a real show. A typical rhythm clock's dial will split open into 2 or 3 sections, parts and figures will start spinning, synchronized lighting will start flashing, and quality sound and music will start playing. What a treat for your senses!
But don't worry - these clocks generally have an automatic night shut-off sensor to disable the lighting and sound options once the lights go out. The "show" could prove a bit much at two o'clock in the morning!
What Sound and Music Does the Clock Play?
Here is where rhythm clocks really set themselves apart from your more traditional musical clocks. These clocks have a high-quality sound system built into the mechanism that would do stereo aficionados proud. Each clock utilizes either a Clarion Sound System or Dynamic Wave Sound to produce their exquisite sound. These systems produce a crisp and melodic sound while playing a variety of tunes.
If you are a music fan, a rhythm clock will play famous Broadway show tunes, a little Frank Sinatra, the Beatles, or any number of familiar favorites, depending on the model. Some will even play a few Christmas carols to get you into the holiday mood. Not only do these clocks produce music, but include a lighting system that is synchronized with the beat of the music and motion of the figures.
What Does a Rhythm Wall Clock Look Like?
Surprisingly, these wall clocks look like any high end model, with frames constructed of walnut, oak, or composite materials. The clock faces are very attractive with numbers or numerals set in gold and silver. Some models even have Swarovski crystals to give the clock a more elegant appearance.
Rhythm clocks come in a number of different styles - Traditional, Contemporary, and even a Cuckoo - to match all types of decors. Their attractive appearance would make you comfortable decorating with one of these clocks in almost any room. Their elegant styling lends these clocks for use in your living room, den, or most family living areas.
So, if you are looking for a wall clock that is unique and attractive at the same time, a rhythm clock is an outstanding choice. These time-focused "entertainment" centers are truly a joy for family and friends to watch.

Article Title: 5 Tips To Prevent Stretch Marks During Pregnancy

As a woman, you have probably been "blessed" with a stretch mark or two. Whether it happened during puberty, as physiological growth spurts stretched your skin beyond its tolerance, or during a previous pregnancy, stretch marks are simply a normal part of life. But if you are ready to say, "No More!", then you need to be aware of ways to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy or other periods of dramatic weight change.
As the saying goes, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!" This little pearl of wisdom also applies to the prevention of stretch marks. As you probably know, removing stretch marks is not an easy process and can take months just to fade them enough so they are not quite as noticeable. There are effective stretch mark creams and lotions that do a pretty good job of repairing the damaged skin, but they can be costly and time consuming.
So, if you are concerned about developing any further stretch marks during pregnancy, try following these helpful tips. Your odds of avoiding further skin damage and scarring will be dramatically improved, and as an added bonus, the appearance your existing stretch marks may benefit too!
Establish a Skin Care Program
The first step in preventing stretch marks is to develop a routine skin care program. Don't make your program so complicated or cumbersome that you will not stick with it. A simple plan that you will be able to follow easily on a daily basis will prove far more effective than a more elaborate routine that you will only follow on a hit and miss basis.
Moderate Your Weight Gain
Though some weight gain is natural during pregnancy, the rate at which the additional pounds are added is very important. Remember that the skin has a natural tendency to flex or stretch without damaging the skin tissue. However, sudden weight changes can stretch the skin beyond its tolerances and tearing and scarring result, also known as stretch marks. So, monitor your weight gain during your pregnancy and strive for a more moderate and even weight gain to the extent possible.
Don't Forget to Hydrate Your Skin
The proper hydration of your skin during pregnancy is a key element of any skin care program. As pregnancy will place more tension on your skin in the abdomen, thighs and buttocks areas, your skin becomes more sensitive. You may experience sensations of itching and pressure as your skin expands. This is where the application of a high quality stretch mark cream or body lotion can not only relieve some of these symptoms, but also enhance the skins ability to expand and flex.
Massage Your Skin
This is a practice that is often overlooked but can really help with the prevention of stretch marks. Take a gentle brush or massage glove and gently massage the skin in those high risk areas, generally your abdomen and thighs. This will stimulate circulation to the skin and promote healthier and more resilient skin tissue.
Eat Right and Take Vitamins
Being as healthy as you possibly can during pregnancy has multiple benefits. Firstly and most importantly, it helps develop a strong and healthy baby. Secondly, it helps your body counter the stresses placed on it during and after your pregnancy. This also includes your skin's health. Eating nutritional and healthy meals, complimented by a vitamin prescribed by your doctor, will help keep your skin healthy and radiant.
These five helpful skin care tips, if practiced routinely, will help prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. Obviously, there are no absolute guarantees due to the variability of skin types and conditions, but establishing a skin care program will definitely tip the odds in your favor of preventing any further stretch marks. So, don't be afraid of pampering yourself a little, you truly deserve it!

Want to give a gift that keeps on giving month after month? A wine of the month gift club membership will do just that. This wine gift will impress your special friends, family, or business acquaintances, for as long as the club membership lasts. Because this gift extends over a period of months, it will send a little "reminder" each month of how much you care as a new bottle of wine is delivered to the lucky recipient.
The gift of sending wine every month is not a new concept – fruit of the month clubs have been very popular for decades. However, the latest trend has been towards a gift that sends a little different message – the monthly wine gift. Many individuals have discovered the wonderful taste of wines; whether they are red, white or rose. A delightful wine experience, combined with the well published health benefits of red wines, has created today's popular trend toward drinking fine wines.
Benefits of a Wine of the Month Gift Club
Purchasing a wine of the month gift club membership really enhances a gift of fine wine by making it a year-round event. Each month, a new and exciting wine is delivered to the gift recipient's front door, reminding them of your thoughtfulness.
Receiving a different wine each month is infinitely more exciting than getting a case of the same vintage and brand as a one-time gift. Most wine of the month clubs provide 12 unique vintages, each one carefully chosen to represent the season in which it is sent.
One of the major benefits of giving a wine of the month gift is that you need not worry about buying the bottle yourself, having it wrapped, and presenting it to the lucky recipient. Sending someone a membership, or subscription, to a wine of the month club means that the excitement of receiving a gift is not a once a year event, but a monthly celebration as a new, unknown vintage is delivered right to their home.
A Wine Gift Membership is Elegant – And Easy!
The beauty of giving this kind of wine gift is that all you need to do is make the initial choice, based on the wine costs and delivery charges, and leave the rest up to the wine specialists at the membership club. The difficult task of selecting the right wines is in the hands of the membership experts. If you choose a monthly subscription from a reputable club, you can be certain that their wine specialists will choose an appropriate wine within your selected price range. It really doesn't get much easier!
Most wine of the month gift memberships are paid for up-front and cover the length of the subscription period. You may also be able to specify the recipient's wine preferences and they will do their best to accommodate their specific wine tastes. No need for you to become a wine "expert" to ensure that the selections will be appreciated.
And don't forget - a monthly gift of wine is a nice reminder of how much you care about the person receiving the wine. They will know that you thought enough of them to provide them with a special gift every month of the year, not just a gift quickly forgotten once opened.
