The modern man is putting more time and effort in to looking after himself and this has resulted in so much more advertising and marketing being geared towards this huge growing market.
In Days gone by it was acceptable for the man to go down the pub and have a few drinks with his mates and over a period of a few years start to grow the size of his belly as a result! Now things have changed and not only we have the aesthetic element but also serious health implications if we fail to look after ourselves.
Today there is so much more awareness about getting enough exercise and eating properly that the poor old local pubs have become a place to visit just occasionally opposed to all the time. This has resulted in the modern man going to the gym or maybe running or using his bike as a way of exercising plus better eating and less high sugar, high fat and salt foods which result in obesity and potential heart issues.
Not only is the modern man interested in having a healthy and fit body but also he is investing time and money in cosmetic treatments like botox and teeth whitening to compliment the whole package!
Male grooming is another area men are investing in with face creams and shaving products being developed to help the skin and reduce aging.
In terms of their female counterparts Men are still lagging behind but with education and some of the stigma attached to men making themselves look and feel better disappearing then there will be only a huge future ahead. Men still do not spend anything like women on hair and probably will never because men generally have more simpler styles and little colour added and on top of this men tend to change their hair style less frequently than women.
Teeth whitening as previously mentioned is very popular with the men especially laser whitening as this takes only one to perform and this is perfect for the time precious man. In the course of the treatment the staining which builds in the enamel will be removed to leave a very natural coloured set of teeth.
Veneers are also becoming popular because if through years of physical contact sport have left your teeth with chips and cracks then veneers will sit over the top of the natural teeth but are perfectly shaped and coloured to look perfect. Many of the stars we see on TV and films will have veneers because they need little maintenance like the natural teeth.
Big brands are starting to cash in on this growing market and therefore develop their ranges towards the males. Loreala and more recently Nivea has launched their mens range of products as two examples.
The last one is a bit extreme but men are going for more permanent procedures like tummy tucks, liposuction, face lifts and fat removal surgery as a way of making themselves feel better about how they look.

A bracelet, which is defined as a piece of jewelry created to be worn on the wrist or arm, is a preferred accessory for many women. When it comes to choosing one with gemstones, a diamond bracelet is often the desire of many. The price tag, however, is one obstacle that often stands in the way of her dream design. Cubic zirconia tennis bracelets, which are created to imitate flawless eye clean diamond bracelets, are the preferred choice for many who are either on a budget or simply prefer to save their money.
Unlike genuine diamonds, cubic zirconia tennis bracelets are manmade stones that are only made to look like real. Because they are not natural stones, their properties can be created as opposed to genuine stones whose value would be diminished if altered. Cubic zirconia offers eye clean clarity that would be unaffordable to most in natural diamonds. Therefore, the price is one of the many benefits to owning cubic zirconia tennis bracelets. Because of this, cubic zirconia jewelry is economically easier to replace than pieces featuring natural gemstones.
When it comes to sparkle, you will find it difficult to locate a stone that has greater shine than cubic zirconia. With eye clean brilliance, it's easy to see why this stone is a popular choice for all types of jewelry, including wedding rings. When it comes to bracelets, every woman wants one that will be noticed and an important part of that involves the clarity of a gemstone.
Speaking of clarity, an eye clean genuine diamond would cost a small fortune. In fact, many of us could not afford a flawless diamond, which is why we often turn to cubic zirconia. One important tip to keep in mind when choosing from a selection of cubic zirconia tennis bracelets is believability. As you shop, look at the overall design and carat weight. Would you believe it were real if you saw it on someone, or would you automatically assume it was fake simply because of its size? Many women turn to a delicate look in cubic zirconia jewelry so that it will look believable when worn.
If you are someone who typically purchases insurance on your jewelry, you may also be delighted to learn that you could save a considerable amount of money by purchasing cubic zirconia tennis bracelets instead of diamond tennis bracelets. For instance, you would not necessarily need to purchase insurance due to the fact that cubic zirconia is very affordable. If you decide to go ahead and purchase insurance, you will find that the value is far less than diamonds due to the fact that the stones are created, which could save you considerably on your premium.
In conclusion, cubic zirconia tennis bracelets have many wonderful characteristics to offer the wearer. Beauty, affordability, longevity and sparkle are among the frontrunners in terms of benefits. Whether you want something to adorn your arm every day or just on special occasions, you cannot go wrong with the flawless beauty of a created stone.

I recently caught up with a guitar teacher friend of mine, who says he often gets asked by potential students to explain why they should take lessons from him and not buy online guitar lessons. At first glance it would seem somewhat of a "no-brainer", with the main perceived advantage being taught by an instructor - in person.
As learning guitar online is only a relatively recent innovation, my friend decided investigate - firmly believing he would find many disadvantages with online lesson plans. What he found instead was pretty alarming, at least from a guitar instructor's point of view.
It seems that online guitar lessons on the whole are very sound, and offer several advantages over conventional guitar instruction.
Some of the benefits that came to light were:
1. Convenience. Guitar students can do their practice at home, with no requirement for lugging guitars around or driving to the teacher's house or studio. This equates to more time practicing and playing the guitar. Practice can be done at any time of the day or night, instead of being restricted to scheduled lessons. This can be very convenient for busy people and those in remote locations.
2. Immediate start. As soon as the course is paid for, online guitar lessons can be downloaded instantly, and practice can be started any time.
3. High quality course material. Although most of the topics are familiar guitar teachers, online guitar lessons contain new and innovative ways of teaching those topics to students. Those guitar teachers who have embraced some changes and are now using these methods, are finding their students advancing faster than before.
4. Cost savings. Many online guitar courses can be bought for under $200, while enrolling with a guitar teacher can cost anywhere from $25 to $40 per hour. Considering that most online courses can keep a student busy for 6-12 months, the cost savings are obvious. Six months weekly tuition with a guitar teacher could cost upwards of $600. Compared to the cost of the online option, the cost of personal tuition is at least three times more.
5. Lack of stress and pressure. Learning to play the guitar at home means no pressure from the teacher to constantly get it right. Students can repeat sections over and over themselves without the fear of seeming "dumb" to their teacher. This can ease the way for younger students to gain confidence more quickly.
There is no doubt that online guitar lessons are a very good way to begin learning the guitar. The advantages over conventional guitar tuition are quite numerous. Convenience, lessened stress and improved value for money are just a few that spring to mind.
Guitar teachers are starting to realize the potential damage this innovative learning method can have on their businesses, unless they take steps to keep up. The upside of course, is the opportunity to embrace the new methods and integrate them into their existing lesson plans and turn their business upwards.
If you are investigating guitar learning materials, this handy online guitar lessons comparison chart might help in your quest to make the right decision.

If you are planning to buy a set of cubic zirconia wedding bands for your wedding chances are that you'd rather not publicize the fact that you couldn't afford diamonds. Maybe everyone knows you're on tight budget and won't care but you would prefer to have the most believable looking bridal set you can afford. You're wondering what the best cubic zirconia wedding bands cost, where to buy them, what things you should beware of while shopping, and you're probably wondering exactly how to decide which sets will look the most believable. Here are some answers:
1. The best cubic zirconia wedding bands and bridal sets are those that are set in 14k gold. Why? It's because the best stones will be set in the best metals. The second best will be those set in solid sterling silver. The worst will be the cheapest options, those that are set in base metals with silver or gold plating, and these are not recommended for a wedding set because they won't last very long.
2. Where to buy the top cubic zirconia rings in bridal set designs and wedding creations that look real is easy. There are about 5 online shops that specialize in top quality cubic zirconia bridal quality sets and engagement rings. One of the best for gold items is Apples of Gold, and another is Almost Diamonds, although they tend to specialize in high quality silver creations. A third place to shop is Emitations, but try to choose smaller gemstone designs that look more real. The forth place is Eve's Addiction, and the fifth shop that is fun to browse and has a wide selection of some of the best CZ sets is Bling Jewelry. Also just in case you want high end and antique styles, you can also try Ross Simons and Fantasy Jewelry Box as well as the JewelBasket. If you can't find what you need at one of these places, you'll have to get something custom designed.
3. What you should beware of while shopping for cubic zirconia wedding bands that will be an important part of your life, such as weddings sets or engagement rings or anniversary gifts, is that you will not want to buy a very large CZ. Please beware that large stones look more fake than the ones that are less than 1 carat in weight. Also, try to choose white or clear gems and not colored ones. Pink and yellow diamonds are rare and expensive and if you're not wealthy it will be hard to believe you have a real set of pink or yellow diamond wedding rings.
4. So how can you decide which sets will be most believable? It's very easy. Choose a real diamond set you love that's not too outrageous, that would be something you might be able to afford....not something from dreamland, but really what might be in your budget if you earned just a little more. Then choose the basic or similar design and stone size in a CZ ring design. Do not choose a wild crazy huge sparkling gemstone and think that everyone will think you're rich. They won't. They'll just think you've got poor taste. Also, try to spend more on the band and mounting, by buying real gold, white or yellow, or going with titanium. It's better to have a smaller CZ in a gold band than a huge stone in a silver mounting.

Looking for the right ring for your engagement party does matter. Engagement rings are always the first present to a lady when a man proposes to her. Since the summer is the most popular time for weddings to occur, wedding jewelry sales shoot through the roof around mid year. However, did you know that engagement rings are also popular types of gifts during the Christmas season?
The first sign of the custom of exchanging rings began way back where men would hand the woman of his choice a nuptial ring as a sign of his affection. Back then, they did not have the exquisite materials used in the rings we have today, rather they used iron.
While the rings were simple and did not have a 18 carat diamond on it at the time, it was quite often noted that the rings were engraved on the inside instead, carrying the initials of the person.
It is extremely common for rings to be adorned with a diamond (or diamonds) these days however of late, the cubic zirconia is becoming the jewel of choice. Why is this so? Cubic zirconia are extremely beautiful stones and they are inexpensive when compared to diamonds.
Although there are many couples who decide on plain gold or silver bands for engagement rings because they want something clean and simple, the majority of people who do so opt for a plain band because they can't afford to have diamonds.
If you are really after a ring with a set stone, but you prefer to not spend as much on a diamond, you should definitely consider cubic zirconia engagement rings. With the money you save on the ring, you could put it towards having a better honeymoon or even pay off part of a new car.
Diamond rings are much too expensive and it would be much better to put it off for the time being until you really do have money to blow.
The thing about the zirconia's, these stones look fabulous and unless you have the experience to tell them apart, you would not visually notice a difference between cubic zirconia's and diamonds.
It also looks a lot like diamond rings and way too beautiful because of its inexpensive price. The cubic zirconia stone has almost the same hardness as diamonds which you would not believe given that it is only man made and lab created. It's also brilliant but not as brilliant as diamond. But it does not matter because only experts with instruments will know the difference. Another thing about cubic zirconia rings is that it is worn by almost everyone even movie stars who does not want to wear real pieces of jewelries in public and prefer to use cubic zirconia jewelries made to look like the original jewelries.
If you're young and you're about to propose to the lady of your dreams, you might want to seriously consider a zirconia as you can have the option of having colored stones as opposed to just having a clear one. Diamonds when colored cost a lot more money as they're extremely rare.

Not knowing what you are buying. When you shop for a piece of jewelry, or any other substantial investment, it is important that you know what you are buying. This includes metal content (ie, sterling silver, gold, platinum, stainless steel, titanium or other metal), whether or not the item features simulated or genuine gemstones and the condition of the item.
Going over your budget. Overspending is common, regardless of what you are buying. When it comes to jewelry, it is easy to fall in love with an item and be willing to pay anything to own it. If you want to avoid this common mistake, set a budget and stick to it. If at all possible, avoid the temptation of overspending by simply avoiding anything over your set budget. Stay clear of items that you know are out of your price range, which will prevent you from wanting them.
Impulse buying. By definition, an impulse is a strong urge to act. When shopping, it is easy to make an impulse purchase, but not always so easy to handle the buyers remorse that sets in soon thereafter. When shopping, ask yourself if this is something that you really love and, if so, have you wanted it for a long time. If it isn't either of the two, you may be making an impulse purchase. When you make an impulse purchase, you are preventing yourself from shopping around and comparing prices, which may lead to your paying a higher price.
Buying from a company with no return policy. It's always important to understand a company's return policy, if any, prior to making a purchase. Some businesses offer a 30-day policy, while others may go up to 90-days. Some, however, operate on a strictly "all sales are final" sales policy. The latter is especially troubling to consumers who are thinking of making a purchase, especially if it is a substantial one. As you shop, look for a company that offers a return policy and clearly outlines the terms and conditions upfront.
Keeping something that you will not wear. We all have something in our closet and our jewelry box that never gets worn, which is why one of the most common mistakes to avoid when shopping is to keep something that you will not use. This is true of anything, including jewelry. If it's going to sit in your jewelry box and collect dust, you may be better suited to invest your money in a piece that you will wear and enjoy. If you buy something and haven't worn it within a month, consider returning it. If you haven't worn it yet, chances are good that you will not soon be reaching for it.
Buying something just because it's a good deal. It's always great to get a bargain, but it's not enough just to get a great deal on a piece of jewelry. You should love the accessory that you buy and make sure it's something that you will wear. Otherwise, you are essentially tossing your money away. Avoid buying something simply because it's on sale or you think it's a bargain. Instead, look for the best deal you can find on something you truly want to own.
Failing to shop online and compare prices. One of the biggest mistakes that you could make is to purchase something locally without first browsing the internet to compare prices. The world wide web is a fantastic place to shop, which is why you should check out your favorite online jewelry retailer before deciding to make a purchase.

The proposal is the main event before any wedding took place. This is when the man will give the woman he loves a ring that will symbolize his commitment and affection to his lucky girl. This happening often includes a memorable dinner for two; wines, flowers and the best engagement ring that he can afford to give to his only one.
Women love diamonds but not all men can afford to buy diamond engagement rings. To an ordinary working man, a diamond ring will cost more than his 3 months salary. So it is really hard for them to look for an engagement ring that is not costly but also exudes beauty worthy for their love one.
If you are looking for something that looks like diamond rings but with lesser cost then why not try cubic zirconia engagement rings for a change?
Cubic zirconia engagement rings are made of a gemstone called cubic zirconia. This gem is man made so it is very abundant thus resulting to its cheap pricing. It looks exactly like diamonds with almost the same fire and brilliance associated with the precious gem. Buying cubic zirconia engagement rings can be the best thing a man can do to appease the heart of the woman they adore and to make them say yes to their proposal.
It looks like diamond rings but you'd better tell her the truth about it before giving it to her. The thing is that you gave a symbol that your love is lasting and you may just promise to buy her the true thing when you've got the money for it. The kind of ring doesn't matter if she truly loves you.
Diamond engagement rings are desired but a lot of woman. But if you are planning to save more for your wedding ring buying an alternative would be the best route. Practicality should be the number one virtue these days due to the existing recession in the economy. And I think that your love one will understand once you tell them your plans for your future. The price of the engagement ring cannot measure up with the love you can give so even a cubic zirconia engagement ring will do especially for the women who really loves their men.
If you want to purchase cubic zirconia engagement rings then you need to window shop first or consult your acquaintances where you can buy the best cz quality rings. A lot of vendors exist on the net and only a few have high standards with regards to their products. Also don't forget to find the ring cut you want. The price of cubic zirconia depends on the sort of cut you wanted.
Buying engagement rings can be difficult to some individuals especially for those who don't want to consider buying diamond alternatives but has a low budget. Any kind of ring will do if the love you portray is true and it occurs mutually. It doesn't matter what kind of engagement ring you will give.

When it comes to shopping for cubic zirconia rings, the selection process is much the same as any other piece of jewelry that will become a part of your collection for years to come. When you choose an accessory, it must compliment your style, wardrobe and personality. Below are 7 ways to ensure that your next sparkling purchase does just that.
Cut. When choosing a ring, many women will agree that the gemstone cut is one of the first things that they look for. While some prefer the traditional round cut, others prefer marquise, princess, oval or other popular choice.
Style. Whether you consider yourself a lover of trendy or classic designs, you are sure to find this and much more in cubic zirconia rings. The style of a ring is quite often a direct reflection of the wearer's personality. A classic design, for instance, reflects a woman who likes timeless accessories that often become her signature piece. As something that will never go out of style, she knows that her investment is one that she will reach for time and time again. For the wearer who appreciates a more trendsetting style, a unique design may be more suitable due to its creative and fashionable appearance. Whatever your taste, choosing a ring that fits your personality will ensure a perfect fit both on your finger and in your jewelry collection.
Price. Quite often, our budget plays a very important role in determining what type of jewelry we select. When it comes to cubic zirconia rings, the price that you can expect to pay is much more affordable than their genuine diamond competitors. Although cz jewelry is made to resemble a flawless diamond, it is a created stone that is far less expensive and remains extremely popular.
Brilliance. One of the greatest characteristics of cubic zirconia rings is their amazing ability to outshine many genuine gemstones, especially diamonds. The brilliance of a stone refers to its brightness or, in some cases, its sparkle. Because a created stone is much less likely to have inclusions, most will offer the wearer a beautiful eye clean appearance. It is important to take note of the flawless nature of a gemstone and its clarity when making a jewelry purchase.
Setting. When someone describes a jewelry setting, they are referring to the metal design in which a gemstone is set. When shopping for any type of ring, it is important that you consider the setting as part of your selection process. If you are an active person who is tough on jewelry or you work in a profession that requires minimal jewelry, a low setting would likely work best for you. If you are someone who can wear a high profile design, then you can choose a design that sits up higher than some.
Color. Like genuine diamonds, cz jewelry is available in a variety of colors. From the traditional white to black, champagne, pink and more, cubic zirconia rings are created to look identical to their genuine diamond competitors. Therefore, a variety of colors must be available for the shopper who appreciates a selection.
Size. If you are shopping for cubic zirconia rings, or any ring for that matter, it is important to know your correct ring size. In addition to that, an informed consumer is a happy one. Certain rings, such as those with a wide band or those with a thick design, may fit more snuggly than a traditional thin band and may require the wearer to go up ½ to 1 whole size in order to achieve a comfortable fit. As you shop, make sure to keep your true ring size in mind and make an educated decision as to which size and style will fit you best.

If you are in the market for cubic zirconia wedding sets, it's time to start shopping, plan ahead and find the best style to fit your taste and your budget. Below are 7 tips to get you started.
Set A Budget. It's always a good idea to set a budget for your wedding, including the rings. As one of the most significant and symbolic purchases that you will make for your big day, spending within your means will help to make this acquisition a little easier. If you are on a budget, cubic zirconia wedding sets are the way to go in terms of both beauty and bargain.
Shop Together. When it comes to buying cubic zirconia wedding sets, it's wonderful to look at the selection together and decide what each of you prefers in terms of style and metal choice.
Know Your Size. If you both already know your ring size, that is terrific. If not, stop by your local jeweler or the jewelry section of your local department store and ask to have your finger sized. Knowing the correct ring size will make shopping much easier and, possibly, even less expensive. If you purchase the wrong size, you would have to go to the extra expense of having it resized. By knowing the correct size to purchase, you will save money and time in not having to return the incorrect size and start shopping from scratch.
Choose a Retailer. Keeping an open mind while shopping for cubic zirconia wedding sets is one sure way to get exactly what you want. Many consumers often limit themselves to a local jeweler or the department store in town, but the internet is one avenue that is definitely worth pursuing. With so many retailers and such a diverse product selection, the possibilities are endless. From price to style and even sizing, there is plenty to choose from online.
Be Honest With Yourself & Each Other. What style do you like? Do you prefer a band with gemstones or just a plain, highly polished band? How much money can you comfortably spend on rings? What metal is your favorite? These are all questions that you will need to answer while shopping for cubic zirconia wedding sets. After all, these are the rings that you will both be wearing for a long time to come so they should be a reflection of both your styles.
Set A Timeline. Allow yourselves plenty of time to shop. This will prevent you from making a hasty decision and suffering from buyer's remorse. If you start shopping early, you are also more likely to find exactly what you are looking for in terms of wedding rings. Whenever possible, sit down together and develop a timeline as to when you hope to get each wedding task complete, including the purchase of your rings.
Buy Your Rings. Now that you know what size you need, your preferred style, budget and where to shop, it's time to make the purchase. After purchasing cubic zirconia wedding sets, couples should keep them in a safe place where they will remain until the wedding day.

When it comes to rings, bolder is better according to current jewelry trends. Among the most sought after styles are those featuring a cluster design, a single solitaire and birthstones. For years, women's rings have been regarded as much more than just jewelry. In fact, they are an important wardrobe staple that many choose to accessorize with their daily attire. In this article, we will explore the various styles and designs that are both popular and timeless.
A cluster is a group of similar stones placed closely together in a setting, which often creates the illusion of a large single stone. In most cases, the cluster design is used to create a bolder look in women's rings. Extremely popular featuring diamonds, a cluster style often commands a high price. For those budget conscious consumers, an affordable alternative may be cubic zirconia or even white topaz stones. Both are eyeclean and offer a lower price tag than diamonds.
The next stop on our list of popular styles in women's rings is that of the single solitaire stone. Commonly used as an engagement ring, a single solitaire design is both simple and timeless. Because of their traditional use as wedding jewelry, the solitaire ring remains popular year after year. Whether you choose a clear stone or one with color, you will find yourself reaching for this style day after day.
Speaking of gemstones with color, women's rings featuring birthstones remain some of the most popular styles in today's jewelry market. Whether it's a single stone or multiple stones with important meaning to the wearer, such as your child's birthstone or that of your husband, mother, father or other relative, birthstone rings will never go out of style. In fact, many choose birthstone jewelry for its sentimental value. If you are fortunate enough to find a design that features birthstones of those in your family, this would eliminate the need and expense of having to custom order such a design from a local jeweler.
Below is a list of birth month's and their coordinating birthstones:
January - Garnet
February - Amethyst
March - Aquamarine
April - Diamond
May - Emerald
June - Pearl
July - Ruby
August - Peridot
September - Sapphire
October - Opal
November - Citrine
December - Topaz
Keep in mind that birthstone rings may feature either genuine or simulated gemstones. The difference between the two being value, cost and origin. A genuine gemstone is one that occurs naturally and is found in the earth, whereas a simulated gemstone is manmade in such a way that it resembles the genuine stone but is far less expensive. Genuine gemstones, although they may command a higher price, are more valuable than the manmade stones. The choice is really up to the wearer, and may be determined by both preference and budget.
Today, more and more jewelry designers are coming up with ways to tempt your wishlist. If you are shopping for women's rings, don't restrict yourself to the local jewelry or department store in your area. Instead, venture out into the world of online shopping where you are sure to find a large selection and competitive prices. From a variety of styles to the convenience of shopping from home and having it delivered right to your front door, more people are choosing to shop online every day.

Diamonds have been accepted as a woman's best friend for years. However, with its rising cost, it doesn't seem to be a practical choice anymore in buying diamond jewelries unless you have a lot of extra money to spend. So if you want something similar in quality and appearance less the cost then you might want to consider buying cubic zirconia jewelries.
Cubic zirconia is a stone synthetically made in the lab. Some people call it as fake diamonds because of its likeness to the precious gem. However, it is not. Cubic zirconia is man made and has the abundance that diamonds don't have. It is a gemstone though synthetic but it's not fake. Its abundance is the main reason why it is not that expensive compared to diamonds.
There are lots of cubic zirconia jewelries to choose from. If you want something fashionable, you would like to have cubic zirconia necklaces. You can wear it on any occasion and you can also buy a lot of variants due to its cheap price. There are a lot of styles on this kind of cubic zirconia jewelry and it will be a great gift for the ones you love.
If you are looking for an engagement ring that is not expensive but looks beautiful to your fiancée's hand then you might want to consider buying cubic zirconia engagement rings. These engagement rings look exactly like diamond engagement rings minus the high tag price. Don't try telling your loved one that it's a diamond ring because she might believe it due to the fact that cubic zirconia rings look exactly like their diamond counterparts and only a few people with the right gadgets can distinguished both gemstones. Tell her the truth and promise that as soon as you can afford it you can replace it or you can tell her that you are saving up for your wedding and it's very unpractical to buy something that cost more that you're three months work.
Whenever you're fond of bracelets, cubic zirconia tennis bracelets are a good choice. This jewelry sports a very intricate tennis ball pattern and can easily be seen as a diamond tennis bracelet. It usually is characterized by a sterling silver band with cubic zirconia gems encircling it. It is best for casual dresses and may also go along with formal attires.
If you are a woman of fashion and likes to wear different kinds of earrings then cubic zirconia earrings are right for you and your budget. Aside from their typical nice appearance, you can also buy a lot of different styles because they are very affordable. You can buy cubic zirconia stud earrings, chandelier earrings or drop earrings with various designs and appearances.
Choosing to buy cubic zirconia jewelry is a very practical choice. So if you want variance and of course if you want to look beautiful and stylish, why look for other gemstones that are expensive if you can easily buy cubic zirconia jewelries at a lesser price?

After the Northern Kingdom (Israel) was captured by the Assyrians (722 BC) and the Southern Kingdom (Judah) was destroyed by the Babylonians (586 BC) the Jewish population was deported. Many returned to their homeland upon their release, but others spread throughout the world. Far removed from Judea, many Jews lost their Hebrew mastery as Greek became their main language. This created a growing need for a Greek translation of the Hebrew Scriptures. Alexandria, Egypt, held the largest Jewish community of that era and was also a great center of Greek learning. On request of the Alexandrian Jews – according to tradition (supported by the legend of Ptolemy and other scholars) – some 70 Hebrew scribes traveled to Alexandria in 285-270 BC where they produced a translation now known as the Septuagint. That name derives from the Greek word for 70 and is also designated as LXX (the Latin numeral for 70).
Overall the translation was executed with great care given the means of those days and the challenges that faced translators. Still, when comparing the LXX and the Hebrew (Masoretic) texts a number of small differences between the texts can be noted. Through the Dead Sea Scrolls, many of these differences are now identified as being caused by the fact that translators likely followed a different Hebrew text belonging to what now is called the Proto-Septuagint family.
In addition to the 24 books of the Hebrew Old Testament, the LXX contains additional books as well as add-ons to books circulated in the Greek-speaking world, but were not included in the Hebrew texts. These books are now known as the Apocrypha of the Old Testament.
The LXX was held with great respect in ancient times; Philo and Josephus ascribed divine inspiration to its authors. It formed the basis of the Old Latin versions and is still used intact within the Eastern Orthodox Church. Besides the Old Latin versions, the LXX is also the basis for Gothic, Slavonic, old Syriac, old Armenian, and Coptic versions of the Old Testament.
Significant to all Christians and Bible scholars is the fact that the LXX was quoted both by the writers of the New Testament and by the leaders of the early church. Christians naturally used the LXX since it was the only Greek version available to the earliest Christians, who, as a group, had rapidly become overwhelmingly Gentile and, therefore, unfamiliar with Hebrew. While Jews have not used the LXX in worship or religious study since the second century AD, recent scholarship has brought renewed interest towards it in Judaic Studies. The oldest surviving LXX codices date to the fourth century AD.
The importance of the LXX as evidence for the reliability of the texts of the Old Testament is two-fold:
1) Confirmation of the Masoretic texts: Although there are textual differences between the LXX and the Masoretic texts, generally these differences are small.
2) Confirmation of early texts: The LXX was translated from the Hebrew Scriptures in the years 285-250 BC. It includes all 24 books of the Hebrew Old Testament. Therefore the existence of the LXX proves that the OT was widely available in written form before this time. Therefore the prophecies in the book of Daniel about the Greek and Roman empires as well the extensive prophecies about the Messiah in Daniel, Isaiah and especially Psalm 22 were written well before the actual events happened.

Wedding days are very special occasion both for men and women. Finding the right ring for the couple is difficult especially if you don't have anything particular in mind. Other than silver, gold and platinum, another most important metal that is especially popular for men's wedding bands is the titanium, a charcoal-gray hued metal. Titanium wedding bands are durable and light since titanium is an extremely lightweight metal.
However, it is as strong as steel and widely popular on aircrafts. Also, this metal is the hardest natural element in the world and so is very strong, durable, does not tarnish and is hypoallergenic. The metal has a lovely sheen that can be a good alternative to white gold, silver and platinum. Titanium has three times the strength of steel and much stronger than gold, silver and platinum.
Other characteristics of titanium are that it is more dent, bend and scratch resistant compared to gold, silver and platinum. It also offers an exotic array of colors that other metals do not. However, titanium does have one negative characteristic, which is that it cannot be resized, since this metal cannot be soldered. However, they can easily be cut off the finger in case of emergency as in the case of platinum rings, even though it is a tougher process as compared to platinum rings. It should be noted that in case of an aircraft grade titanium ring, it is not possible to cut the ring off the finger under any circumstances.
Titanium is usually considered for men because of its lightweight, durability and resistance to corrosion. Though this metal has been recently introduced in the jewelry market, its popularity seems to be increasing steadily. Sometimes, titanium can also be alloyed with other metals for greater strength. However, it is suggested to choose wedding bands with the purest grade of titanium that can be found. Blue Nile wedding bands provide 100% pure titanium wedding bands. A pure titanium wedding band can be cut off the finger in case of emergency. Also, pure titanium wedding rigs can be polished in case of scratches to make it look new again.
This metal is incredibly lightweight and comfortable, about 1/3 the weight of gold. Also, a choice of precious or semi-precious stones can be set into titanium rings for those who prefer these to plain wedding bands. The bands can also be made with comfort fit for daily wear as in case of wedding bands.
If you want something that is durable and comfortable to wear on your wedding day then mens titanium wedding bands are the right choice for you. This kind of jewelry is popular nowadays and a lot of men enjoy wearing titanium made jewelries because it makes them exude more masculinity compared in wearing gold or diamond jewelries. It is also way more inexpensive and affordable even for the average individual. It is best that you purchase your own titanium wedding band today and see the difference. You have not only saved hundred of dollars; you have also done something to make your wedding day more memorable and lasting.

When most people begin a new life together, they opt for the creation of a budget to help them through the everyday expenses associated with a marriage. From a rent or mortgage payment to auto payments and other combined debts, it's important to save money whenever possible. For this reason, many couples choose to purchase cubic zirconia engagement and/or wedding rings instead of the more expensive option of genuine diamonds. Specifically, below are five reasons why newlyweds may choose to say 'I Do' to cubic zirconia jewelry:
Cubic zirconia jewelry is affordable. When compared to the cost of diamonds, cubic zirconia jewelry offers an affordable way for newlyweds to enjoy the traditional exchange of wedding rings without the worry of being in debt for years to come. A genuine diamond engagement ring and/or wedding band is expensive, while an equally traditional design in cubic zirconia will be significantly easier on the wallet.
Cubic zirconia rings provide a nice presence. Cubic zirconia is designed to imitate a flawless diamond, which would cost thousands of dollars in the world of retail jewelry designs. You can, however, get a bold look in cubic zirconia, which will also give the appearance of an eyeclean diamond.
Cubic zirconia wedding rings will allow for savings. Every newlywed couple knows how expensive life can be, which is why there's nothing wrong with having a cushion of cash for unexpected emergencies or expenses. Instead of spending a fortune on genuine diamond wedding rings, many couples opt for putting some money into a savings account rather than spending it all on their jewelry.
Diamonds make a wonderful anniversary gift. If you get married with cubic zirconia wedding rings, you may want to think about upgrading to genuine diamonds in the future. Once the house is paid for, a nice savings account is in place and the financial future looks good, many couples then choose to purchase diamond rings. It's nice to celebrate an anniversary with genuine diamonds, but it's equally nice to start out with the affordable alternative of cubic zirconia wedding rings.
Cubic zirconia jewelry looks real. In most cases, only a trained gemologist can distinguish between a genuine diamond and cubic zirconia, which means your friends and family will never know that you are wearing cubic zirconia wedding rings. Everyone will assume that they are diamonds, but you will have the advantage of not having paid a fortune for your jewelry. Because it is made to imitate a flawless diamond, cubic zirconia is visually stunning and sparkles just as much as you would expect from a quality design.

If you are planning to say "I Do", then you are probably in the market for wedding jewelry. From promise rings to engagement rings and wedding bands, there are plenty of styles and price ranges from which to choose.
In terms of wedding jewelry, a promise ring is traditionally one that is given from a man to a woman with the promise that they will one day be engaged. This type of ring is often dainty in its design and may feature a cluster of gemstones as opposed to a single solitaire. If diamonds are out of your price range, consider the affordable option of cubic zirconia. This manmade stone is created to resemble a flawless diamond, but is available at a much more economical price. A promise ring is designed to be worn on the left hand ring finger until it is later replaced with an engagement ring.
Speaking of engagement rings, this is the next step in wedding jewelry. Customarily, an engagement ring features a single solitaire stone in either a round, marquise, princess or pear cut. In today's market, cubic zirconia offers the same look as a diamond at only a fraction of the cost. As mentioned with promise rings, cz stones are extremely popular for budget conscious consumers. Because an engagement ring is often a single solitaire, the cost would be high if the ring features a genuine diamond. With that in mind, it is important to note that not all engagement rings are created in the solitaire design. Although it is traditional, it is not the only style available. In fact, some engagement rings are created in a small cluster design made to look as though it were one single stone. The illusion of a large solitaire is yet another way that consumers can save money because the individual stones are smaller, thereby making the ring more affordable.
Next in line are wedding bands, the final addition to your wedding jewelry collection. At this point, you have passed the promise ring and engagement ring and are now ready to "take the plunge." Mens wedding bands and women's wedding bands are often created so that they match, or at least compliment, one another. Whether you prefer two-tone, channel set stones or a highly polished finish, you are sure to find the wedding set of your dreams. Keep in mind that precious metal rings, including sterling silver, can typically be engraved by a jeweler. If you purchase wedding jewelry from your favorite online retailer, you can always take them to your local jeweler for personalization.
When it comes to shopping for wedding jewelry, there is no better place to browse than the world wide web. With so many retailers and such a diverse selection of product, there is no better way to compare prices and find the jewelry of your dreams. As you shop, keep in mind that many retailers specialize in wedding and/or cubic zirconia jewelry. In choosing an online jewelry store, it's a good idea to consider one focusing on wedding rings and/or bands if you are planning to say "I Do." With this in mind, you are sure to have a happy shopping experience.

It's been tradition that men have expressed their love and commitment to the women in their lives with the gift of a diamond. This tradition has become expected, and many men find themselves struggling to make a very tough decision between going broke or disappointing their bride to be with a engagement ring set with a stone other than a diamond. However, with a little research and some diligent shopping, you can propose to your love with the beauty of a diamond without breaking the bank. Fake diamonds are the answer.
Depending on various factors, including clarity and weight, a real diamond suitable for an engagement ring can cost anywhere north of $15,000, not including the setting or the cut. For some people, this is half their salary! Fake diamonds cost a fraction of the price and some are so well made that even a well trained eye can't tell the difference between the fake diamond and the real thing. The woman you love can flaunt and gorgeous 2-carat ring or pair of beautifully clear diamond studs without anyone ever knowing that they're not the real thing. There are many options in various price ranges for diamond substitutes, so there is truly a fake diamond out there for everyone.
Traditionally, fake diamonds have been made of cubic zirconia or moissanite. In the past, the differences between these fakes and the real thing were often obvious. Very often the fake diamonds made out of these materials would look glassy or flat, lacking the luster and sparkle of a real diamond. But more recently the products and improved and manufacturers have learned how to cut a fake diamond so they sparkle just like the real thing. A jeweler or a well trained eye will still be able to tell that these types of diamonds are fake, but only very close up and with professional instruments. Your friends and family on the other hand, will never know the difference.
Diamond hybrids are another option for fake diamonds and are better designed to replicate the real thing. These fake diamonds look so much like real diamonds that even jewelers often mistake them as real. Diamond hybrids are not man-made fake diamonds, but rather are composed of non-precious core crystals, which are then combined with infused-amorphous diamond, which is man-made. In other words, the ingredients are natural and the diamond "glue" is man-made. During the creation of this type of fake diamond, a core stone is wrapped and layered with amorphous diamond composed of tiny diamond crystals. Putting the fake diamond recipe into a chamber of intense heat and pressure infuses the diamond crystals to the core, resulting in the final product. Unlike so many other fake diamonds, diamond hybrids have the same characteristics as real diamonds.
If you're getting ready to pop that question, take the time to consider one of the many fake diamond options. Chances are, no one will be able to tell the difference and you'll be able to spend all the money you saved on a long, luxurious honeymoon.

When it comes to most things in life its all the things we love that are usually not good for us but they are the things we love the best. The problem with these things is that they have an impact on our life our health the way we look and feel. This is not only mentally but physically. Lifestyle has a lot to show for how much weight we carry, the appearance of our skin, hair and teeth.
Your teeth will suffer at the perils of all the drinking, smoking and eating habits you have.
Classic problems from drinks are stains from red wine, cranberry juices and generally dark colored drinks. Staining from food generally comes from food like curry, tomato based sauces and food with added colorants. Smoking is a big big stainer to the teeth. The tabaco stains really penetrate into the enamel of the teeth causing a huge amount discoloration and a very yellow appearance to your teeth.
So what can we do to help remove these stains? Well you could live on white and clear colored foods and drinks but that wouldn't be much fun now would it! Or you can try having your teeth whitened even as a one off or every six months or so. Your choices in the teeth whitening market are fairly simple. They are one you can have your teeth whitened by a professional laser teeth whitening consultant. This procedure is quick it only take one hour and it can lighten you r teeth up to eight shades instantly. The treatment is broken done into four ten minute applications using a whitening gel and lightening lamp. The teeth need to be assessed first to make sure that they are suitable for the treatment. This is to check that the gums are healthy and that there are no chips or cracks in the teeth. Then afterwards when it is decided that the teeth and gums are healthy and suitable for the treatment the process can begin. A gum protection is applied to the gums and set with a curing light. This will help prevent any of the whitening gel to penetrate into the gums. After that is set then the whitening gel is applied. The process is repeated for up to an hour and until the teeth have lifted and whitened to the customers satisfaction.
Another option that you could look at to whiten your teeth would be to try teeth whitening trays. They can either be brought from you dentist, chemist, or teeth whitening company. They need to be used every day or night and repeated for at least four weeks. This is a slower way to whiten your teeth but it does also work well. You would need to bear in mind that durning the period of time that you are trying to whiten your teeth you will need to try and avoid the foods, drinks and tabaco as much as possible as these will only add the staining back on and as a result it will take longer to whiten your teeth.
The last option would be to look at a combination of both. Have your teeth lasered giving you a great head start and then use the trays as top ups!

An ensemble is defined as a group of items viewed as a whole which, in this case, could be used to describe a set of jewelry worn together in a complimentary fashion. When you wear a cubic zirconia jewelry ensemble, you are wearing the look of flawless diamonds at a fraction of the cost. Many women opt for cubic zirconia rings, cubic zirconia bracelets, cubic zirconia necklaces and even cubic zirconia earrings for a style that compliments one another in a way that looks as though it were a custom set.
If you are someone who enjoys mixing and matching your gold and silver jewelry but aren't sure how to do it properly, you aren't alone. The look of two-tone is very popular, which is why many jewelry lovers are searching for a way to tie in both metals without creating a mismatched look. The trick is to wear one piece of jewelry that incorporates both sterling silver and gold, which can either be solid gold or plated. With one single piece of two-tone jewelry, you can easily wear your other silver and/or gold jewelry with ease and style.
Did you know that cubic zirconia jewelry is available in a variety of colors to simulate some of the world's rarest diamonds? If your passion is black and white diamonds, you can find a number of stunning designs in cubic zirconia. This bold color combination allows for you to mix and match your favorite cubic zirconia jewelry in simulated black and white diamonds. For instance, you do not have to wear all black and white cubic zirconia jewelry. In fact, you can wear a pair of clear cubic zirconia stud or hoop earrings, a black and white cubic zirconia pendant and complete the look with a cubic zirconia ring and bracelet of your choice. The beauty of incorporating different colors of cubic zirconia into one jewelry design is that it gives you the flexibility to wear a variety of other simulated diamond styles and colors.
Whether you like circle jewelry, oval jewelry or you choose designs based on a specific item that simply calls out to you, there are plenty of ways to coordinate your cubic zirconia jewelry. Speaking of oval jewelry, this popular shape is making it's presence known in a big way. Just as the circle jewelry has been popular for some time, the oval shape is now being named as an upcoming trend in modern jewelry designs. Whether you look for classic or contemporary styles in your jewelry ensemble, cubic zirconia jewelry will give you an impressive look without the hefty price tag.

There's no question that diamonds steal the crown when it comes to quality and appearance. However, it's not enough to contend with the value that cubic zirconia jewelry can give. The recession proves that practicality is really important even to couples who are planning to marry. They would want something that can give value to their money and also appears beautiful like cubic zirconia engagement and wedding rings.
If you want something that looks similarly like diamonds, the cubic zirconia is the right gem to go. It matches diamonds sparkle and brilliance and it also rank near to diamonds hardness and durability. It is sturdier than other gems with its 8.5 Moh's scale capability. And the best thing is that cubic zirconia is cheaper compared to diamonds. The price of cubic zirconia varies to its cut and quality and will cost a fraction of a diamonds cost.
People don't want to wear cubic zirconia because they are concerned that others will tell them that they are only wearing diamond imitation. The truth is that only a few people with the right equipment and knowledge can tell the difference between the two gemstones. Cubic zirconia has less sparkle and more colourful than the diamond which only a number of people can tell. Its man made nature makes cubic zirconia perfectly flawless while diamonds are littered with impurities and flaws.
A lot of individuals are attracted with cubic zirconia because of its similarity to diamonds but there are other characteristics of the gem that others should think about. It is very brilliant, very durable, and beautiful in its own way. Due to its clarity and colourless appearance you can see that cubic zirconia jewelry can be wore in any kind of outfit. Also you can get a lot of variants in a single kind of cubic zirconia jewelry because you can buy a lot of it due to its cheaper nature.
If you want something that can add up style to what you wear then cubic zirconia jewelry is a great choice. A cubic zirconia heart necklace is perfect for formal occasions plus a pair of drop earrings adored with heart shaped drops. If you want something more casual you can go with cubic zirconia tennis bracelets or cubic zirconia stud earrings. If you are looking for something to give to your loved one, a men's cubic zirconia ring will do. In any occasion, there is a cubic zirconia variant that's right for it.
There's a lot to cubic zirconia other than its affordable price which is its main attraction. You can adore it to any outfit for any occasion and can also be a way to disguise other people that you are wearing a diamond adornment. It's all a matter of choosing the right kind of cubic zirconia jewelry depending on the event you are planning to attend. Remember that there is nothing wrong or unstylish in wearing cubic zirconia jewelry. It's all about the confidence you exude when you wear this kind of jewelry and the way you carry yourself in any event you go to.

Cubic zirconia is one of the most popular jewelry designs on the market today. This manmade stone is both flawless and affordable. Its beauty is inspired by a genuine diamond and although cubic zirconia bridal sets feature simulated diamonds instead of the real thing, they are nothing short of spectacular. The fact that they are manmade as opposed to natural make them affordable, while their flawless eye clean appearance make them breathtaking.
Today, cubic zirconia bridal sets are more popular than ever. They are ideal for the budget conscious consumer, as well as newlyweds who are just starting out in life and may not have a fortune to spend on genuine diamonds. Whatever your situation, you will not sacrifice beauty or sparkle when choosing cubic zirconia. If you are in the market for a wedding set, you will find a large selection featuring this dazzling stone.
Among the most popular cubic zirconia bridal sets on the market today are those featuring channel set stone anniversary bands and cluster style engagement rings. Why? While single solitaire stones are traditional, the cluster rings are widely popular in diamonds. Therefore, they are popular in cubic zirconia as well. Keep in mind, however, that the solitaire stones are and always will remain popular simply because they are classic.
When it comes to shopping for cubic zirconia bridal sets in a cluster design, it's important that you separate these from the traditional cluster ring that you may already be familiar with. A traditional cluster ring is large and is often reserved as a right-hand ring. For an engagement ring, however, the design is much different and more dainty. The reason is because the ultimate goal in designing a cluster style engagement ring is to create it in such a way that it looks like a single solitaire, which means it should be believable in size. If you will, imagine a single princess cut solitaire as you would expect to find it in a traditional design. Now, envision that single solitaire stone being cut down into four smaller princess cut stones and then placed into a setting so that it looks like one large stone. This is one example of a cluster style engagement ring. The same process is common in all cuts, including round, marquise and princess.
As you shop, keep in mind that there are several different options when it comes to settings. Among them, sterling silver. This, the least expensive of the precious metals, offers the perfect backdrop to cubic zirconia. The icy white tone of sterling silver enhances the clarity and brilliance of a ring. Sterling is both strong and durable, making it an ideal setting for cubic zirconia bridal sets. In addition to these characteristics, it's also important to note that sterling silver can be resized by a jeweler. This is essential to the woman who may later need to have her ring set sized up or down, which is not typically possible with non-precious metals. Because it is a precious metal, sterling silver will always have value and can last the wearer a lifetime with the proper care.

As with all other cosmetic enhancements teeth whitening has its choices and trends. At the start of the trend the method was to have custom made teeth whitening trays made from your dentist. This would mean you would need to have a check up, appointment with a hygienist and then an further appointment to create an impression of the teeth and jaw which a custom made whitening tray can be made from.
These trays were usually used over night for at least a month to whiten your teeth whilst you sleep. It was a costly and lengthy way to whiten your teeth but it was all that was available.
The next trend that hit the market was the laser teeth whitening method. This is where with the use of a whitening gel and light the teeth can be whitened with in an hour. The gums are protected by a gum dam and then the whitening gel and light are applied in four ten minute applications taking up to an hour. The results are instant and usually very good. Following 'Laser' teeth whitening came 'Zoom' which in principle is the same method as Laser but has just been rebranded into 'Zoom'. Zoom is now also known as 'Power Whitening'. Things haven't moved on an awful lot since Zoom but it is far more readily available from beauty salons, therapy centers and clinics across the country.
It is also a good idea to look at a combination of the two methods. Laser teeth whitening to give you the instant fresh white smile that you are looking for and they using teeth whitening trays to top up and maintain you teethes nice new whiter look. Laser teeth whitening top ups which are about 15 minutes long are always another option to help you maintain the smile of your dreams!
Generally now a days the public spending seems to grow and grow within the cosmetic and beauty industry more and more year by year. As treatments are now more assessable and affordable everyone of all ages are jumping on the journey towards perfection it maybe hair, nails, teeth, skin or cosmetic surgery itself.
The internet provides a wealth of information on all teeth whitening methods and can inform you on professional reputable companies offering the treatments. The results can vary from client to client and this is something that you may also want to bear in mind. Everyone's teeth are a different shade naturally not everyone is blessed with pearly whites. What teeth whitening will do is restore your teeth back to their own natural white shade by removing the stains built up over the years from smoking, food, drink and lifestyle. For a guaranteed exact white you would need to look at veneers like Simon Cowell and Katie Price which are very costly and can be quite painful at times.
Whatever method or trent you choose teeth whitening and whiter teeth are a good investment in yourself to deliver a winning smile!!

If you do know her finger size, consider a beautiful ring to go along with her heart jewelry collection. Of all the various types of jewelry, a ring is one accessory that she will see more than any other. Whenever she reaches her hand out, , picks something from the shelf at the local grocery store or writes a check, she will see her ring. Choose from a solitaire, cluster or all-metal style in rings featuring the heart design. Whichever you choose, there is no better way to symbolize your love than with heart jewelry. Every time she looks down at her hand, she will remember when she received the ring and also who gave it to her.
For the woman who has pierced ears, heart earrings will make for a wonderful Valentine's Day gift. You can choose from either a stud or dangle design earring. Popular styles include cluster, solitaire and pave settings. While a solitaire has a single stone design, both the cluster and pave styles offer a bolder look for the woman who likes to be noticed. If she prefers a dainty look in jewelry, perhaps a small pair of stud or cluster earrings will be the perfect fit. If she likes a lot of presence or has especially long hair, consider a dangle style that will garner plenty of attention.
When it comes to finding the perfect piece of heart jewelry to give the one you love, look no further than your fingertips. The internet is a terrific place to shop and, while most jewelers do carry more heart jewelry as Valentine's Day approaches, you will likely find that the best selection is online. Not only that, but the pricing is often more competitive than what you might find locally and you can do all of your shopping from the convenience of home. Whether you choose a ring, necklace, bracelet or a lovely pair of earrings, online retailers are just waiting for you to fall in love with their selection this Valentine's Day.

When it comes to shopping for engagement rings, there are many things to consider. Among them, her preference and personal style. Beyond that, you will need to look at specific characteristics that go into the overall ring. Below are 7 important factors that you will want to keep in mind as you shop for the perfect band.
Ring design. The way a ring is set, cast and detailed are all part of its design. Most will agree that regardless of cut, clarity, carat weight or even price, the initial impression of a ring will ultimately determine whether or not it is popular. Appearance is the first thing that a customer will notice when shopping for engagement rings, which is why the design is so important. From the height of the setting to the layout of the stone(s), it is essential that you can appreciate the ring's appearance first and foremost.
Gemstone cut. Traditionally, gemstones are cut as either round, princess, marquise, pear or emerald. The cut of a stone is very much a reflection of the wearer's personal taste. Some women enjoy the classic round design, while others are drawn more toward the remaining cuts in engagement rings.
Clarity. The term clarity refers to an item's transparencies. As it relates to gemstones, clarity is extremely important for several reasons. Not only does a gemstone with fewer inclusions offer more sparkle, but it also provides a greater depth as the wearer can literally see into the stone's color.
Carat weight. The actual weight of a gemstone is measured in carats. Why? Quite simply, because all gemstones, both natural and simulated, are in part defined by their carat weight and it is essential that the customer know the size of the stone in order to determine whether or not the purchase price is acceptable.
Metal. When it comes to engagement rings, the metal content is extremely important. The first question should be whether or not the wearer prefers the white or yellow metal. Next, does she have any known allergies to silver or gold? These are both important factors to consider when choosing a ring. Traditionally, engagement rings are set in sterling silver, gold or platinum. Of these three precious metals, sterling silver is the most affordable and is recognized by its icy white coloration. Gold is available in a variety of colors, including yellow, white, rose, etc. At the top of the pay scale is platinum, which is the most expensive of all precious metals, and is also a possible choice for the woman who prefers a white metal.
Ring size. When shopping for any type of ring, it is important to know the correct ring size. This can either be accomplished simply by asking or by having the wearer accompany you to the jewelry store and having her finger sized. If neither of these options are possible, you can always have the ring resized at a later date if it is designed in a precious metal that your local jeweler can adjust.
Price. Last but not least, the purchase price may ultimately determine whether or not one ring will win out over another. If it's not in the budget, it's simply not there. Some rings may be out of the buyer's price range, while others may simply just not be a good value when all things are considered. Regardless, make sure to consider the price when choosing engagement rings. The best option may be to shop around, compare prices and make an informed decision as to which style best suits your taste and budget.
