Look through any glossy magazine and you will see a tooth whitening product being mentioned or advertised but really what are the tooth whitening techniques and what is going to work best? Here we look at the systems and discuss in more detail.

The teeth tend to change colour because of the different things we put in our mouth and for younger people this tends to be fizzy drinks like cola which have a high level of staining in them. For slightly older people it can drinks and foods like coffee or curries which change the teeth's colour but either way let us not focus on the negatives but more on the positive elements which include having a bright white smile which looks much better than the dull, stained teeth you have today!

The different tooth whitening techniques –

We have split these in to home and DIY products and professional services just so there is no confusion and make the information easier to understand.

    DIY

Toothpastes – in the main the only toothpastes that really make the teeth appear whiter are the ones that are slightly gritty as these will help remove any external type staining. Ideally you should use your normal paste most days and once every two weeks use the gritty version to keep the teeth free from external staining.

Mouthwashes – these are new to the market and reportedly whiten the teeth. Today I have not used any of these but theoretically over a period time could help to manage the whitening as the enamel will absorb the mouthwash and whiten.

Strips – these work well for lighter staining or a useful tool for keeping the teeth white after a professional treatment but do not expect the whitest smile with the strips and they need to be used regularly and repeatedly to get best results.

Mouth guards/trays – these are similar to the strips and use a carbomide peroxide which is gentle on the gums and soft tissues and results are similar to the strips.

    Professional

Laser whitening – is now very popular because it offers instant results and takes about sixty to seventy minutes in total to complete. This is a powerful and effective method of whitening that gets in to the deep staining to remove the colour from the teeth and reveal a much brighter smile.

Zoom whitening – this is a system that is similar to laser but is performed exclusively by dentists all over the world. The brand was started in the USA and has become a well known whitening brand name.

Power whitening – in the USA power whitening and laser whitening are the same thing. The name has come from the fact is it a powerful way of whitening the teeth without the need for multiple sessions or treatments.

Bleaching trays – after the dentist has made some specially fitted trays to fit around your top and bottom teeth you need to sleep in the trays for fourteen consecutive nights. After the initial program you will have the trays to use for future top up treatments to maintain the whiteness.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

A few years ago you would have laughed if you saw Men walking round with a bag over their shoulder or considering teeth whitening but today things have moved and the modern man spends a lot of time of himself and grooming as it becomes the standard.

It was always the women that the big cosmetic companies and fashion labels were targeting but today the market for fashion, male grooming, cosmetic treatments and much is aiming at the men to look and feel great.

Men are spending a lot more time in the gym, keeping fit and taking care of themselves where a few years ago probably spent more of that free time in the local public house drinking beer. Men need to keep up with the female species and this takes time and care and in this article we look at some of the things that men are buying to ensures that happens:

    Male Grooming Products

Now this industry has become a multi million pound money making machine with the men buying shaving gels, after shaves, facial creams, skin lotions and just about everything to keep us looking and feeling good. Big organisations like loreal and Dove have recently launched mens ranges which are designed to keep the skin wrinkle free.

    Fitness Equipment

We have gone high tech with fitness equipment as the men love gadgets and a couple of great examples is the Nike and ipod/iphone connector which measures how far and fast you have run and keeps the results logged on the apple devices so you can sync them to your own personal online log chart. Another great device is the heart rate monitor which calculates how many calories you have burnt and again syncs to a PC. Other devices include gps systems which fit on bikes so when you are mountaineering there is no chance of getting lost.

    Man Bags

The modern man loves his man bag. Whether it is to carry his lunch to work or laptop so why not get a stylish bag from companies like Storm London, Fossil or even high end brands like Gucci or Prada. So many top brands cater making bags for men and these range from small to the larger styles with leather being the latest look and messenger bags being the most popular style.

    Teeth Whitening

No point in the face and body looking and smelling good if the smile is let down with yellowing coloured teeth! Laser teeth whitening is popular because of the success rates and the fact it only takes one hour to perform which is perfect for the time precious man who wants whiter teeth!

    Cosmetic Surgery

Now this can be ranging from simple botox to help remove lines from around the eyes or forehead right up to more expensive treatments like tummy tucks or liposuction. For some men who simply do not want to go to the gym to lose weight this can be a fast way of correcting years of over indulgence.

    Summary

So things have changed and the modern man is investing time and money to stay ahead of the game!

To be honest the answer to this really does depend on personal circumstances but really it should as soon as the teeth start o darken or become a yellowy sort of colour. Sometimes leaving the teeth until they become very dark or even brown is too late for whitening as the staining have penetrated the enamel in to the dentin.

When we are in our teens the teeth are not a big priority and for this reason we do not pay enough attention to our dental health as we spend more time drinking cola and eating sugary foods. The time we get in to our twenties the teeth have started to stain and this really is the best time to whiten them as the staining has not become too deep and will lift out of the enamel quite easily. This is known as external staining and will always see a noticeable difference after teeth whitening but is the type of staining that everyday brushing will not be able to lift out.

Older people or heavy tea, coffee or red wine drinkers will get deeper staining as well as heavy smokers who also will accumulate deeper colouration of the teeth. The change of colour is gradual over a few years but will take a little longer for whitening to lift out of the teeth.

Do not get me wrong teeth whitening in the main will show off positive results but do not expect one teeth whitening for thirty minutes to remove years of heavy staining as sometimes a more extended course is necessary.

Teeth are very complex but if they have been stained then they can be whiter and this is how it tends to work. Only rarely the teeth will not whiten more than one or two shades because of an underlying yellowing of the dentin. This is caused by heavy medication or sometimes is just genetic and this dentin cannot change colour that much. A great example of this is when people have a grey or black tooth in the mouth which has suffered a trauma and the nerve in the dentin have gone dead. This type of tooth does not whiten as the colour being showed is being illustrated from the inside out and will teeth whitening is tends to be a outside to inside the enamel type of treatment and process.

The rules for the best time are down to available money and personal aspirations but do not leave it too long as the sooner you start the easier it is to manage and also the better your smile will look and the associated benefits like increased self confidence gained from having a whiter smile is never to be underestimated as being able to smile without being conscious of how our teeth looks is a wonderful thing.

To get and maintain a good smile always seek the advice of the dentist and keep up regular appointments for good dental health. Good luck with getting your new smile!

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

One of most commonly asked questions is how long will teeth whitening last and is the treatment permanent and here we try and answer some of those questions in some detail.

The teeth are very complex and change from individual to individual in shape, size, enamel type and quality and strength but one thing that is common is that all teeth have a porous value which means they hold and release moisture and this is what commonly changes the colour of the teeth as staining starts to reside in the pores of the enamel.

Because of this fact that the teeth are porous means that no teeth whitening could ever be permanent as the teeth need moisture to undertake their day to day activities.

However the best way to look at teeth whitening is for the long term as there are plenty of ways to keep the teeth looking white after the initial whitening. These include good dental health, whitening toothpastes (the type that are quite gritty), whitening mouthwashes are coming on to the market which are another useful tool, the whitening strips work well in the capacity of keeping the teeth white and lastly the numerous amounts of tray based home kits. Most of these options are not necessarily strong enough to whiten the teeth in the first place but can be a useful tool for keeping them white in the long run!

Many of the professional systems like zoom, laser, power whitening or the bleaching trays will really whiten the teeth by quite a few shades and offer the best in the way of solutions for price and service.

Another permanent option is having veneers fitted over the teeth.

Porcelain veneers are not new but have become more popular in the last few years due to the many celebs in the world of music, sport and film having veneers fitted.

These are a really good option for the following reasons:

If you need corrective dentistry – If after requiring corrective cosmetic dentistry you need to cover a tooth to make it fit the mouth perfectly then a veneer is a good solution.

If you have very porous type teeth – then the results gained from teeth whitening will be short lived and therefore it might be advisable to have veneers in the long run.

Your natural base colour of your teeth are not as white as you would like – then it does not matter how much you whiten them the underlying dentin is going to control how white they look and if this is not white enough then have veneers fitted.

You have the money and not the time – to keep getting teeth whitening undertaken so it is just more practical to have veneers. For people who have little time this can be a sensible option as the veneers will last some years before they need to be replaced.

    Summary

permanent tooth whitening does not really exist but weighing up the options and what is best for you in the longer term is probably the real question you need to answer.

As an industry tooth whitening is still quite new and is developing new products and services to whiten the smile and for you to produce a beautiful smile.

The most advanced tooth whitening method is the laser system which remarkably whitens the teeth in just one hour session and this also known as Zoom whitening and also Power whitening.

Before this method was introduced a few years ago it was mainly the bleaching trays or gum shields as they are more commonly known and are supplied by the dentists.

Making the teeth go back to their original whiteness is not always a given as the natural colour might not actually be a pure white colour. This is due to the dentin underneath the enamel which reflects through the colour and if you had slightly yellowy coloured teeth when you was younger then this is likely to be their natural colour and if difficult to see by looking at the teeth whether it is true lifestyle stains or just their natural colour.

One the barometers is that the colour should have changed very gradually over a period of a few years and if that has occurred then it is the things in our day to day diets that has created the staining and that is perfect for tooth whitening.

The dentin is the bone structure underneath the enamel which contains the nerve endings etc and this is not really touched during advanced tooth whitening or any type of whitening because the gel does not go that deep in to the tooth's structure. The enamel is what is cleansed with whitening and this reveal a nice smile and a brightening of the teeth's colour.

We refer to this as the outside inside whitening method and this works in the same way as things like cola, tea, curries, coffee, Chinese soya sauces and many things in our diets which will stain the teeth leaving them looking yellow and dull in colour.

The main thing to remember with the teeth is that the porous qualities will always be there and no advanced tooth whitening is going to change that fact so with the teeth you need to look at this as a marathon not a sprint and be prepared to keep up treatments pretty much forever otherwise the teeth will re-stain and you are back to their original colour status.

In the future I am sure the products and service will get even better in performance and quality but the porous values to the teeth will always remain.

For example whitening the teeth in a few minutes might be possible with some advanced method but today we have to accept that although it is a little laborious keep whitening and re-whitening them that at least the current systems are tried and tested and safe to use for their purpose.

With any teeth whitening product or service it is best to go a known and well established company who operate in your locality to help your achieve your dream smile.

When we talk about uv tooth whitening is it using a whitening gel and a sun bed to whiten the teeth or are we are talking about a light based whitening method like zoom or power whitening, here we discuss both points in detail.

Teeth whitening is becoming big news as TV shows have regular makeovers which involve an individual having their teeth whitened so this plus other factors increases the awareness of teeth whitening. Many people are starting to have teeth whitening and when the results are so positive they tell friends and family and then the viral effect takes hold!

When the teeth become dull and yellowish in colour it can take a long time and therefore it is not always something that gets noticed straight away but it can take just one thing to trigger a response that starts to make us aware of the fact our teeth need some whitening. At this point people then start to turn to the internet as start their research and look at the many different options available to whiten the teeth and remove years and years of torrid staining that is inhibiting the smile in some way.

Some of the sun tanning centers are offering uv tooth whitening and what they mean is placing a whitening strip on the surface of the teeth for the duration of the sun tanning session which can be anything from three to fifteen minutes long. The idea being is that the heat generated from the ultra violet lights will send a heat in the area of the teeth and help speed the process of teeth whitening.

Like many of the DIY kit options these are fine for lighter and surface stains but the heavier deeper stains in the teeth tend to be tougher to remove with these type of systems as the strength of the gel is milder to ensure a safe experience with the gums and soft tissues etc.

The more effective uv tooth whitening system is where a machine with a set of uv lights will gently heat the gel placed of the front surface of the teeth to heat and gently remove the staining in the enamel. Because of the value the heat places in the area of the teeth this can remove deep staining in one hours treatment and just one session required for most people.

This uv tooth whitening system can be more commonly known as laser, zoom or power whitening but many of these systems use a light based method which works on the same methodology described above.

In the main teeth whitening is deemed as a safe treatment as long as it is performed by a competent, trained person or if you are using products approved by local quality standards. For example in Europe there is CE approval which is a recognized standard confirming the product has passed its quality testing.

If you are unsure then speak to your dentist and get their advice of what is best for you and your teeth. Good luck!

Article Title: The Demon Called Sensitivity From Teeth Whitening

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

In this article we discuss sensitivity in much detail as it is commonly linked with teeth whitening and for many people becomes unavoidable. Sensitivity can come in two forms generally and happens either during or after the whitening has finished but either way will disappear in just a few days back to normal and will not give any levels of discomfort in the medium to long term.

Sensitivity is caused because the nerve endings in the teeth get disrupted during whitening and as previously stated is simply unavoidable for many people. The process of the whitening is to get the gel typically a peroxide based gel in the pores of the teeth to remove any staining and make the teeth look whiter and as a result the sensitivity can occur.

For many people it feels like a tingling of the teeth like the sensation you experience when you bite an icy lolly or ice cream but other than feeling strange will not hurt too much. This tingling pretty much disappears a few hours after the completion of any whitening treatment.

The other feeling is much acute and can really be quite painful. Typically it will give you no notification that the sensitivity is ready to build up and hit and then suddenly you get a jolting pain through the tooth which can travel in to the jaw like an electric shock. This does not happen to that many people but when it does can be quite traumatic.

For the acute sensation of sensitivity it can last a few days and then disappears completely and during this time the level of sensitivity will drop down bit by bit until nothing is felt.

One of the commonly discussed questions is what you can take for sensitivity to calm down the teeth and to date i have found nothing really works. Other than taking some pain killers you would take for a head ache and avoiding hot and cold foods nothing will really be effective.

Some of the talking points is putting sensidine toothpaste on the teeth or other pastes which claim to reduce sensitivity but really we are talking about shutting the barn door when the horse has bolted and its too late. Now if you suffer sensitivity in every day life then combined with some good advice from the dentists then you should be able to eradicate or calm down the sensitivity but the sensation form whitening is very different and that is why for many people it is to be expected.

Teeth whitening should not hurt the teeth or the gums in any way but short term sensitivity is the only negative thing and even this only lasts for a few days and then it passes and the teeth go back to normal.

Whitening the teeth can be such a positive thing for many people and therefore it is best not to focus on the negative but keep focussed on the nice set of white teeth you will achieve!

When we want to whiten our teeth we are looking for a tooth whitening solution that is effective and always works and that offers really good value for money so let us find out more.

I know sometimes time and money are used a lot for excuses but what never ceases to amaze me is why people neglect their teeth so much that it compromises their dental health and effects their colour of the teeth. Here we are just looking at the options and solutions available to re-whiten the teeth back to their formal glory!

Over the years the teeth absorb staining and this is why the outer shell or enamel gets stained. The inner shell or dentin can also change color but there is generally more underlying issues like being on heavy medication like steroids for some time can change the colour of the dentin but more often than not I is lifestyle that creates the change to the teeth.

By this I mean anything that is placed in to the mouth with colorants in them. This ranges from fruit juices, tomato sauces, curry sauces, soya sauces to drinks like red wine, cola, blackcurrant, tea, coffee and even herbal tea!

The Tooth Whitening Solutions Include Many Things But We Can Make a List

    Toothpaste

The slightly gritty toothpastes are useful for the external staining but can be quite abrasive and not best to use all the time as it will wear the enamel. These are made by many companies on the market but will cost more than standard toothpastes but worth the investment.

    Mouthwash

Tooth whitening mouthwash is fairly new and used often again can help with lighter or surface type stains on the tooth. This are too new to really comment but conceptually are another useful tool to have in he bathroom cabinet.

    Home Kits

These are quite effective but need constant usage. They come typically as mouth guards and tube of whitening gel which when placed on the teeth gently remove the staining but do not expect miracles in one usage. Over a four to six week period the teeth will start to change colour.

    Bleaching Trays

These are supplied through the dentists and they take a mould of the teeth and specially fitting trays are built in a rubber material. These kits are using higher strength gel and hence the requirement for the tight fitting otherwise they will hurt the gums and the soft tissues. Typical usage time is ten to fourteen days and sometimes are required to be worn whilst you sleep.

    Power Whitening

Basically uses a light and similar high strength gel as the bleaching trays but takes only one hour to whiten the teeth. The heat from the light allows the pores of the teeth to open and remove the staining and this means the results are visible at the end of the treatment time.

    Summary

The options available are plenty, but really does depend on your expectations and the amount of personal effort and dedication to whiten the teeth. Always seek advice from your dentist.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

This is the million dollar question that everyone wants to answer but sometimes is difficult because there are many factors that affect the potential answer and here we look at some of them in detail.

When we enter in to something new we want the cheapest price, best results, quickest timescale and this is true when we talk about teeth whitening. The trouble is the teeth as it is much more difficult to compare something with as many variable attributes as the teeth to comparing something like a new mobile phone that has hit the market.

The mobile is easy and every single model is the same as they are manufactured to be that way but the teeth are somewhat more complicated. So what are the details that effect the most effective tooth whitening system:

    Cost

Well this is a major consideration as you tend to pay for what you get and this is very true for teeth whitening. Pay £30 for a home kit is less likely to work as well as a £600 zoom whitening treatment. It is common sense but we are natural skeptics and therefore looking to save money and find the catch. In whitening it rarely exists and you pay for what you get.

    Deep Stains

If you have accumulated very deep stains in the teeth then you will probably require a higher strength, more sustained approach the whitening process. Again to my previous point paying a few pounds for a kit and then finding it does not work is not going to help you find the most effective whitening system. But you are not necessarily going to know that if you are new to tooth whitening!

    Will I Get Sensitivity?

Any teeth whitening system can make the teeth sensitive for a while but it does go away after a few days. The higher powered more professional kits are more likely to give you more sensitivity than the weaker home kits but then you are going to end with whiter teeth!

    How Long Will It Last?

This really has little to do with the most effective whitening system but more to do with how porous you teeth are, how much more staining components you consume after whitening etc. Once the teeth are whiter then it is down to you to keep them white and that is when the home kits are useful –as a sort of management staining removal tool!

    Laser or Tray based?

This will depend on a few things but really here time is the key. If you want to sleep in the trays for fourteen consecutive nights then go for the trays but I am not sure if personally my sleep would be affected by doing this. Another option is the laser whitening system which will whiten the teeth in just one hours treatment time and in one session.

    Summary

There are lots to consider here but it is best to speak to your dentist first and see what they suggest. Just be careful the dentist is not trying to push you down a road because they offer the advised method!

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

So with the professional teeth whitening system you get whiter teeth but are you paying for a real value added service or just hype so here we look at the value for professional teeth whitening against home whitening solutions.

Generally speaking you pay for what you get and this definitely applies to professional teeth whitening as we sometimes oversee the cost against the real benefits and this is only part of the picture. In truth teeth whitening is not the most complex treatment to perform but still requires competency and skill to ensure the treatment goes to plan and is safely performed.

The result should be whiter teeth but also a professional service which is safe and been worth the investment. What essentially you pay for with a professional teeth whitening system is the equipment, high strength whitening gels and the professional's time to whiten.

Now with the lower powered whitening gels with the home kits they are never going to whiten the teeth in the same way as the professional teeth whitening system which is much higher powered.

When we get older two things happen. Firstly the enamel wears and this means the teeth will absorb more of the staining form the things we place in our mouths like cigarettes, red wine, coffee and tea just as some of the examples. Secondly over many years the ongoing battering of the staining process takes it toll and this changes the colour of the teeth to yellow or brownish colour if they are bad.

It is for these reasons why the higher strength professional teeth whitening system is the more efficient way of removing that staining to ensure the teeth are whiter in colour.

Unlike pain in which you can buy a specific colour and when applied to a wall it will appear a similar colour to what is on the tin, it is not like that in the teeth whitening world.

Yes it is true the professional teeth whitening system will likely to whiten the teeth better than the home kits but nothing is absolutely guaranteed and this is because of the complex structure of the teeth and the staining process.

One of the driving factors of how white the teeth will become is the underlying dentin which professional teeth whitening does not really touch as this is deep in the body of the tooth's structure and rarely whitened. Some of the new systems involve drilling a small hole in the back of the teeth and stinging a whitening gel in the middle of the dentin but this is very new and difficult to comment on the success rate of this treatment at the time of writing.

The good news is that the staining process is quite slow and if this is the case then it will be our day to day lifestyle that is creating the change to our teeth and this is perfect for the professional teeth whitening system to tackle and remove to reveal a much white smile.

Wherever you go you seem to see tooth whitening services in some guise and this article is looking at the different types of outlets you can get your new smile!

In the last few years teeth whitening has grown at a remarkable rate and this is down to the amount of people on TV with whiter teeth. The glossy fashion magazines also bring in to our attention that the rich and famous has wonderful white teeth and this motivates people to seek a similar look themselves.

Whitening has become not just for the rich and famous as people understand they can have a dreamy new smile without huge amounts of cash. One of the most misunderstood facts about what people see on TV with these bright white teeth is that many of them have veneers and therefore is unlikely to get that level of whiteness with everyday teeth whitening as many of us have a slight creamy smile because of the natural color of the dentin which whitening will not change dramatically.

Massive additional self confidence can be created through such a simple thing as some individuals will put their hand over their mouth when they smile as a defense reaction to cover the yellowing looking teeth, but no more as whitening can help make the teeth brighter and enhance the smile back to life!

    Different Tooth Whitening Services Explained

    Dentists

These are most commonly used place to have whitening because of the trust factor dentists have with their customers. People expect to pay more at their dentists but that is fine because they have an existing relationship. More and more dentists are offering teeth whitening and some offer the zoom whitening and others will offer bleaching trays as these are the traditional way of whitening the teeth.

    Beauty Salons

In the UK more and more beauty salons are offering teeth whitening and this will be cheaper than the dentists in general. Typically the laser whitening process will get used and in many beauty salons the person doing to treatment will also be doing nails or tanning. Now laser whitening requires competency and therefore it is difficult to have total faith in an individual who does not specialize in the field.

    Shopping Malls

There are many good things that come from the USA but teeth whitening booths in the middle of shopping centres are simply not one of them! Can you imagine having you and your teeth exposed in the middle of the busy shopping centre! These tend to quite cheap and the hope is to catch shoppers passing by.

    Teeth Shitening Specialists

Only doing laser teeth whitening day in and day out is going is likely to make you competent and this is why the specialist is a viable option to the dentist. Ok they do not need five years training and the same level of qualifications as a dentist but then the laser whitening system is not that complex to perform and will cost a lot less than seeing the high street dentist.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

It really does not matter what your age everyone benefits from having a warm, welcoming and bright smile and this is what is achieved by maintaining the staining with teeth whitening.

Teeth whitening has become popular due to several reasons. The first of these reasons is that it works and generally when something is positive you tend to tell friends and family and this creates a viral impact and then they get teeth whitening and so on.

The next reason is that there is so many products and services available that no matter what your budget there will be a product or service that fit you and your lifestyle.

Lastly it represents really good value because it does last quite a long time compared to lots of other treatments and services that people consider a health and beauty benefit!

Of course having whiter teeth does not improve or make worse your dental health as whitening just changes the colour and the appearance of the front surface of the teeth. So regular visits to the dentist needs to kept and this will maintain a good overall balanced between having whiter teeth and healthy teeth and gums!

Anthers reason the whitening industry continues to grow is the emergence of newer technologies like laser whitening which offers greatly reduced treatment times to just one hour and the teeth are noticeably whiter in colour. This instant whiteness is a huge benefit to people who are short of time and unlikely to use tray based systems because of the regular disciplined approach you need to take with them.

Whitening is a good thing but do not get carried away that your teeth are going to pure white in colour as many of us would never get pure white teeth as generally the natural colour of our teeth are slightly creamy in colour and few people end up with pure white like we see on tv when stars have had veneers fitted over the top of their natural teeth.

A brightening and being able to remove the yellow staining which is caused by everyday stuff like drinking cola, tea or blackcurrant juice as some examples which will change the colour of the teeth over a period of time. Other foods stuffs can include pasta sauces, spices in curries and asian foods, soya sauce used in Chinese foods and even gravy will stain the teeth leaving them yellow or brown in colour.

There is good news that you can enjoy these listed foods and drinks and have whiter teeth but consider whitening as an ongoing activity as enjoying these things and more will eventually re-stain the teeth and make them yellow again so keep it up.

Positive benefits from whitening can include improved self confidence and self esteem as well anyone you met seeing you in a different light as you look younger and healthier because of a whiter smile.

Laser whitening is just one of the services available to whiten the teeth and there are other systems including zoom whitening and power whitening which also work in just one hours treatment time.

When we see a white set of teeth in the work place then the chances are that person is perceived as successful and maybe even a key influencer.

When we look at someone's smile and what is reflected back is a great white set of teeth then this person looks younger, healthy and more successful as a result. It can amazing what such a difference teeth whitening can make to how people see you and we are not talking here about spending lots of money of cosmetic dentistry just plain and simple teeth whitening treatments.

Over quite a long period of time the teeth penetrate staining which we have in our food and drinks and also found in nicotine if you smoke. This colour finds it way in to the teeth and if left unattended can become very deep in the enamel and become harder to shift.

Most of us have the luxury of good dentists and combined with brushing and flossing we look after our teeth quite well in most cases and this tends to manage much of the staining but it is likely that over a period of time some staining will find its way in the teeth and particularly the enamel.

Teeth whitening is great because it helps lift that staining in the enamel out and this results in a whiter smile for everyone to see the results of. Depending on how much you spend will depend of how quick and effective the whitening takes and lasts.

For example a whitening mouthwash costing just a few pounds is not going to have the same impact as having laser teeth whitening or power whitening.

The best place is to start at the dentists because they should give you a balanced view of what is available and also suggest what is likely to work best for your teeth.

Once you have done this then take their advise and search on the internet for suitable teeth whitening products. If your budget is tight then look at a home kit or whitening strips made by the well known tooth paste company Crest or if you are looking for instant changes then consider the light based method known as laser whitening which can whiten the teeth in one application and one hours session.

Whatever you opt for you will need to think about keeping the teeth as white as possible after the initial session or program because the teeth are always going to be porous and therefore likely to re-stain at some point in the future.

Having regular whitening is not harmful to the teeth but would only suggest a top up every 6-10 weeks as anything more regular is less likely to work as you would not accumulated too much staining in this time window.

Once you have whiter teeth then be proud to smile and show everyone at work your amazing new smile and combined with the extra self confidence this can only do wonders for your careers prospects as people change their perception of you!

When we sit back and assess the modern world we can hardly live without so many different things that help fulfil our lives be that handbags, wide screen TV's or botox!

So much has changed in the last forty years that it is hardly recognisable with the advancement of technology but also our attitudes and we now live in a materialistic world and it is not going to change in the near future.

So let us look at the things we love and could not be without:

    Designer Hand bags

This little luxury we change much more frequently than ever before and now with many high quality fashion options there is no need to go to Milan to buy a designer one! We obviously could not be without a bag but we often change them to suit our mood and outfits and season. So summer we look at floral and winter more formal hand bags.

    Plasma TV

Even writing this i am thinking that 3D tv's are going to be the latest must have technology since the launch of 3D films like Avatar or Toy Story 3 have made this new technology the next big thing. We certainly could live without 3D but unlikely to live without our TV when we get home from work. In days gone by people used to read books or talk to each other...now we all have square eyes!

    Laptops and High spec PC's

The internet and particularly broadband have made using laptops or pc's impossible to live without and therefore we cannot look back and compare this option as computers have been around for twenty years or so. Most things can be done on the pc including watching tv, so this one is going to be hard to live without!

    Kitchen Appliances

Dishwasher, washing machines, coffee machines, fridges which dispense water and so on the list is endless but many of us could not live without these devices even though we did 40 years ago!

Kitchen devices for many of us are a must have and being without the built in wine cooler as an example of how things have moved on to the world we live in today.

Botox, Teeth whitening and cosmetic surgery

We spend lots of money of ourselves and this includes botox, teeth whitening and cosmetic surgery all of which help people be happy and give them self confidence but it is difficult to think a few years ago and nobody would know you could make your teeth whiter and remove years of staining.

Because of the power of celebrities in magazines and tv etc has made the pressure for personal image, fashion and much more front of mind.

The challenge with paying to look good is that some of the basic health benefits like good eating, plenty of sleep and exercise are compromised because money can rectify some of the things we use to do forty years ago but a healthy balance is always good to maintain.

Many people are so surprised after teeth whitening to remember how white their teeth used to look but years of smoking, drinking tea or coffee made the teeth yellow in colour.

Teeth whitening has become so easy because there are so many options ranging from a few pounds to hundreds of pounds for professional teeth whitening services.

A newer smile is so easy and does not need huge amount of effort on your part. A few hours per month could ensure your teeth remain as white as possible and the cost is affordable and lasts longer than many other treatments you might last especially skin or botox type of beauty treatments.

It is very difficult to avoid the teeth staining because just about everything we have has some colours in them which will be absorbed in to the teeth. For younger people up to the age of 35 or so then the likelihood is the staining will be more surface based and this is much easier to remove. Things like cola and smoking tend to sit on the surface of the teeth.

For the over 40's will start to get deeper staining which builds up over many years and this is more difficult to remove. It will be achievable to remove but needs a slightly more sustained approach so keep your expectations in check as you might not get ultra white teeth in just one teeth whitening session.

The additional self confidence which can be gotten from whitening is never to be underestimated as this can translate in to improving people's love life, work life, social life and just having more confidence to be able to smile freely without holding the hand over the mouth. Other benefits can how people start to look at you or perceive you. These tend to be new people you meet and once they see the white teeth they might think you are younger than you are! Or it makes you look more successful and more healthy looking which is crazy because the colour of your teeth does not really change your health or even make the teeth or gums healthier but this is the power of perception at work!

One of the main things to remember is to keep up the teeth whitening over the next few years as you will not want to lose the results due to the re staining process. It is difficult to avoid as discussed earlier in the article because you are not going to change eating or drinking what is making the teeth get re stained like tea or coffee and in total honesty why would want to give up things you like for whiter teeth?.

Ensure you keep your ongoing appointments with the dentist. He or she is not always the most popular person we want to visit that often but for future health of the teeth and gums regular appointments is preventing future issues. Dentists will also be able to give you some teeth whitening information whether it is laser or bleaching trays.

When some people go in to having their teeth whitening for the first time there can be high hopes of the desired results and sometimes these results can be achieved and other times expectations are set too high.

So what is a realistic expectation when looking to whiten the teeth?

Well normally with tooth whitening once the staining has been extracted from the enamel what you are left with is the natural colour of the teeth. This base line colouration is underpinned typically by the colour of our dentin and this is very difficult to change with every day whitening.

A good example of this is when you might have a tooth with a greyish or black colour. This is typically when the tooth has suffered some stress and has suffered nerve damage which is seen through the clearer coloured enamel. Whitening will be able to change the colour of a nerve damaged tooth and therefore highlights the point about how white the teeth will become.

Now almost everyone's teeth can be whitened so all we are talking about here is realistic expectations or outcome after the whitening. Now for some individuals this might just be just be a lifting of the teeth to an end result that is brighter and whiter but not pure white. For others who have lots of staining plus the whiter coloured dentin described earlier then the results will be much more noticeable when concluded.

For smokers the staining is easier to remove and tends to be reveal a big difference. This is because the nicotine impregnates the enamel and over a period of time gets deep in the teeth and makes them look yellow in colour. This is easier to remove because it tends to sit on the upper layers of the enamel and therefore once the pores are opened the staining lifts out easier.

Whitening is a good thing and will help reveal a much healthier smile but let's not forget the basic dental healthcare basics which are avoiding lots of sugars and acidic drinks etc, ensuring regular brushing and stick to seeing your dentist every six months. People sometimes sacrifice dental health for whiter teeth but the two actually work together better and more effectively.

Something like zoom whitening is a good option or power whitening which are both light based systems which can whiten the teeth in a much shorter period then the tray based system. Many different systems and brand are available but in the main they work in a similar way and as described above work to differing outcomes which are not reflective of the quality of the system but the individuals teeth and therefore back to the original point keep your expectations open and do not expect to have a Hollywood smile unless you want to invest a lot of money in veneers and this will guarantee to give you the bright white we see on celebs and sometimes expect with a teeth whitening treatment. Any good luck and I hoped this helped.

Whether you smoke cigarettes or just drink tea or coffee there is a very good chance you will have yellow darker teeth than you had ten or fifteen years ago and if you are looking at fighting the aging process then teeth is a good place to start.

Compared to lots of beauty and cosmetic treatments teeth whitening generally gets very good results and will last longer than many other treatments including things like botox as a example.

When you meet people the teeth tend to be seen either directly or is viewed subliminal side of our brain which then relates that information and considers things like age, health and even how prosperous a person might be due to having such great white looking teeth. Now you can do something about this but it is going to require focus and discipline.

If you are not determined to get and then maintain white teeth then probably little point in going in to it in the first place because like many things does require some effort on your part.

Now some of the whitening systems are going to need more effort and time than others. For example the power whitening method requires little effort as the consultant or dentist will do all the work. But after the treatment you will need to make some changes to your diet like avoiding anything that will re-stain the teeth within 48-72 hours after the power whitening treatment.

Also you will need periodic sessions with power whitening system to maintain the bright smile as it will not last forever and forever!

One of the most time consuming but cheapest ways to whiten the teeth is with the strips or trays which comprise of carbamide peroxide which sits on the teeth for repeated applications and after a while will lift out the staining but don't expect instant results with the home kits. They do work but over a period of months of ongoing usage for once or twice per week you will start seeing the results develop and the teeth brighten.

But remember the teeth will start to lose the whiteness if not maintained as an ongoing project and just like weight loss will need repeated session and a disciplined approach and the results will be kept.

The amazement people get when they see their teeth after whitening is quite brilliant particularly for heavy smokers who build up heavy stains on the front surface of the teeth and in-between the teeth especially at the bottom. For smokers the teeth lose their sheen as well as their white colour but this can be overturned and remove the staining caused by constant nicotine getting in the depths of the teeth's enamel.

It is well worth any cost of money and time because you have so much of the control in your hands and therefore if you have the will and desire then you teeth whitening goal is likely to be achieved and there are plenty of really good products and services out there.

As teeth whitening becomes more popular new systems and methods are developed and one of the big success stories is the laser whitening system which is used by more and more people to enhance their smile.

Teeth whitening has been around for some years but the advancement of technology and research has helped increase the benefits and reduce the speed it takes the whiten the teeth. Everybody wants it now attitude has benefited the laser system as it only takes one hour to undertake the treatment and the results are viewable straight away.

Having a wonderful bright smile is the end result people desire and once the staining has been removed generally this is what people get. Of course the results will differ from person to person but in most cases the outcome is a very positive one.

Smile sends out an endorphin in the brain which makes us feel good and after teeth whitening it is the case that many of us will increase our self confidence to a renewed level that makes us smile more and often and without the worry of showing off discolored teeth.

Laser is a treatment that involves a light machine with lots of led bulbs. The idea of the light or lamp is to place heat in to the whitening gel used and this in turn opens the pores of the enamel more efficiently and then releases the staining. Now if you used the same gel without the light then the teeth would whiten but could take several hours instead of just 30-60 minutes with the laser light method.

These series of leds's are not harmful as they only place heat in the area of the mouth and do not actually overheat the area and the eyes are also protected during the treatment.

Sometimes when we think about the use of laser in medical or cosmetic treatments we think of an intense beam of light which penetrates a small area, similar to what is used for laser eye correction surgery but this is not what is typically used for teeth whitening as all the front teeth need consistent even heat which in turn whitens the teeth to a balanced outcome.

Once whitened the teeth can be little sensitive for a few days after the whitening treatment so avoiding very hot and cold drinks is a good idea and also avoid brushing the teeth straight afterwards and this can aggravate the nerve endings in the teeth which causes sensitivity.

Whitening the teeth is a simple, fast and effective way of giving yourself an effective makeover without spending a fortune like many other cosmetic treatments and depending on the result will work somewhere between 4 and 10 shades which is a noticeable difference and this can make you look younger and feel better about yourself.

Always see your dentist for regular dental checks and ensure you brush and floss regularly. A good impartial dentist will give you their opinion what is best for you but consider the fact that dentists are commercial and therefore might swing you towards their own system which is typically the bleaching trays!

Sometimes we overlook the simple things like having a wonderful smile and it is a proven fact that smiling makes you feel better then having your teeth whitened can only be worth paying for.

Teeth whitening does not have to expensive or require lots of your time but can repay you back in so many ways for showing off a nice smile that simply radiates a positive messages to whoever you meet on a day to day basis.

Now I guess the perceived value of having your teeth look brighter and better looking in terms of whiter will depend on how important this is compares to other expenses and activities that are happening in your life but do not underestimate the benefits a whiter smile can have on your life, including relationships, business, social and even when meeting complete strangers. This is because white teeth portray you as successful , wealthy and healthy and perception can go a long way when meeting someone for the first time!

So if budget is tight then consider one of the many home kit whitening options which are available to buy. Go on to Google or Yahoo and search teeth whitening home kit and you will be amazed at the options which typically range from mouthwashes, toothpastes, whitening strips (like a tape which sticks to the teeth), trays with whitening gel which can be supplied with or without the gimmicky light on the front!

Most people will start with a home kit and see how the results work for you as these kits are much cheaper but are designed to be used frequently lets say every week for an hour or so until the teeth get to their whitest point and then after that it requires usage every six to eight week for an hour at a time to maintain the results and keep the teeth looking bright.

Having white teeth is possible using the home kits but because of the relative low strength used in the home kits this does require a disciplined approach by the user offset against the cheapest way of whitening your teeth.

Other faster ways include power whitening which will use a lamp or light of led's which will warm and heat the whitening gel to release the staining. The methodology is the same as the home kits but requires no effort as the whitening consultant or dentist will take care of everything.

Power whitening is fast becoming the popular choice because of speed and its effectiveness to whiten the teeth in around one hours treatment time and this for many time precious people is well worth paying the additional money for.

To get a brighter smile is well worth it in my opinion because it make you feel better and helps you smile with confidence without the need of holding your hand in front of the mouth when you smile.

Don't just take my word for it and try getting a new enhanced smile yourself and see what a difference it makes to your life!

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

It is such a simple and low cost exercise to whiten the teeth and have a really nice smile and can help enhance an individual's self confidence so let's us find out more.

For most of us who consume the teeth staining components like coffee, tea, cola, gravy, blackcurrant juice and so much more it is just a fact of life the teeth will absorb these colours and the teeth change colour. Now this tends to happen over a long period of time because the teeth are quite resilient to staining and this is why the change does not happen overnight!

The teeth's enamel contain thousands of micro-pores which hold the staining and this then shows off a yellow or brownish colour when the light reflects of the teeth.

When teeth whitening are performed the micro-pores are opened to release the staining being held in the teeth and this enables the light to reflect off them better and more efficiently. The other thing to note is that when we get older the staining gets in deeper in the teeth and takes slightly longer to remove. This is normally more applicable on the bottom teeth because of the deep liquid type staining caused by tea, coffee, cola and fruit juices etc etc.

Once the staining is under control then you will need periodic treatments to mange future staining in the teeth and keep them looking bright and white.

Teeth whitening can improve your self esteem as well as making you look much younger in age as the teeth are used as a gauge on age and yellow darker teeth normally is associated with people who are over a certain age if you follow what I mean!

Taking the next steps for teeth whitening can be daunting to know what the best way to approach this is. Either home kit mainly sold in the supermarkets or on places like EBay for example is quite a good low cost option but it will require more of your time and regular usage as they are weaker in strength but if you want to dip your toe in the water then this can a good starter option.

Other options can include the bleaching trays offered by many dentists and these are high strength peroxide gels which work very well and soak the enamel by sleeping in the trays overnight. This is not for everyone and it can affect your regular sleep pattern and not be really comfortable but do whiten the teeth effectively.

The last option is the laser whitening system which is done in an hour's session and if effective because of the heating effect of the whitening gel used. This heating reduces the time the gel needs to be on the teeth to whiten them and because of the reduced time this system is becoming very popular with people all over the world.

Always best to speak to your dentist first and ensure the gums and teeth are in good overall dental health before embarking on getting your new smile!

As the tide is slowly turning in the economy we look at some fairly low priced services and products to make us feel and look great as we approach the summer months in the UK.

Over the last few years we have been reducing our outgoings and being more prudent but summer is nearly here and things appear to be getting better as world economies slowly get back on their feets so lets look at our options.

    New Summer Wardrobe

Shopping online using cashbacks sites or voucher codes has helped us save loads of money and combined with using a search engine to search for deals on clothes and shoes etc has actually dropped the cost of replacing our 2009 wardrobe with a shiny new 2010 one!

    New Hairstyle

When we said fairly low priced at the beginning we are assuming you are not going to a top London hairstylist and popping in for an appointment at your local hairdressers for a cut, colour and re-style. This is a top priority as we hit the hotter summer months.

    New Phone or Mobile Device

Most of the top mobile handsets you would pay on a contract basis but even the iphone which is subsidised on a monthly tariff will still require a one cost so this could be your treat coupled with some funky accessories to stylise the iphone further!

    Teeth Whitening

Why get a new smile as a special gift to yourself. Laser teeth whitening in particular can work well for removing the staining created by all things we love including smoking, red wine, coffee, tea and curries. Laser whitening results are instant after the one hour treatment time and lasts for up to 18 months.

    New Handbag

Handbags are the perfect treat and because of the upcoming fashion brands there is no need to remortgage the house every time you fancy buying a new one! Summer bags with floral colours and bright colours are all the rage and can be replaced regularly if you opt for a less well known brand name.

    Botox

This is one of the fastest growing cosmetic treatments as the prices have fallen and the word has got out about the results from botox. For a few hundred pounds you can temporarily remove some lines on the face or around the eyes. Once the gel has dispersed you will need it done again but for many they cannot do without their regular cosmetic treatment!

    Gym and Getting Fit

One of the cheapest and most rewarding things you can do this summer is join the gym or simply start going out for a run. Exercise releases the endorphins in the brain which makes us happy and feels good about ourselves and in the process we lose weight which can only be a good thing. Cycling and jogging can be fun and combined with some looking attire you can look good too!

    Summary

So we can spend some money and have fun this summer and let's face it you deserve it!

When people see the amazing results and experience the benefits of teeth whitening it could be easy to get addicted to the whitening and become obsessive about getting pearly white teeth.

In this article we will discuss the potential signs and also see how to maintain white teeth without the need for over regular treatments or usage of whitening products.

When something makes us feel good or look good as in with teeth whitening then it can be tempting to keep going with it to see if we can improve the results further like an addiction but with the teeth they will only go so white and keep trying to over whiten them wont happen.

People get over the top with teeth whitening and try and try to get them pure white but it is the underlying dentin which controls the colour. The enamel will whiten and once the staining is removed will whiten and brighten but the dentin has lots of variables.

Making the plunge and having your teeth whitened is a positive step and this article should not put you off but just be realistic and not go over the top on frequency. If you are opting for the home kit route of which there are plenty of options available to buy on the internet then after the initial period then every six to eight weeks is ideal to balance between keeping the teeth white and too much whitening.

When we get older the staining we build up in the teeth shows off in a yellowish or brown colour and many people over the age of 40 are considering teeth whitening as it really can reduce your age once they are made whiter. This can result in a change that is quite dramatic and for these people they can get paranoid the results will not last and this is not true. For sure the teeth are easier to stain when we get older due to wearing enamel but just once every few week with some bleaching trays will lift off the staining that re-appears during that time window. This is a sensible approach as I think an ongoing strategy to keeping the teeth consistently looking white all year round is a good thing just don't over use the whitening gels not that it could damage the enamel (no research has proven this could be the case) but it is more of a physiological issue spending way too much time trying to whiten the teeth!

So relax the teeth can be made whiter and the smile made brighter but just keep it real and maybe opt for power teeth whitening as this requires a treatment only once per year as the light will heat the peroxide based gels to remove the staining and amazingly in just 60 minutes treatment time. Come back in a year and get a re-blast of the power whitening system and pronto the teeth's colour will be restored back to their former glory and no need to mess around with home kit!

When we think of designer hand bags there might a picture of small, shiny and has a badge from one of the big Italian fashion designers but this is not always the case as smaller brands are entering the market to fulfil the demand for affordable and a range to suit all functions.

In the article we are going to look at the range of handbags and the purposes they fulfil. Spending a few hundred pounds on a Prada or Gucci is fantastic but how often is going to happen and will having just one handbag fulfil all of your daily practical usages, probably not so here we are talking about what types of bags you might need.

    Types of handbags purposes:

    Going Out

So if you going clubbing or out for a meal you might consider a smaller more formal bag that is a clutch type bag. Many of these bags have detail like gold edging or clasps. Matching your outfit with a going out bag is easy and there are plenty of colour options to select from. White and black are popular colours.

    Shopping

These tend to be larger and fit over the shoulder and are useful at putting your shopping in without the need to carry the plastic bags the shops tend to hand out. Shopping bags used to be plain and boring but now are floral and bright as people buy a shopping bag as a fashion accessory not just something to sling your purchases in!

    Work

Again when going to work you are likely to have quite a big bag that can cater all of your every items and many of these will fit over the shoulder. Some people will have a separate bag or case if they carry a laptop or netbook around with them. Work bags are sometimes more formal depending on your place of work or viewpoint on fashion and style against having a bag that you might be expected to use in your particular place of work!

A work bag will have plenty of internal and external pockets to help keep you orgnaised maybe pockets for phones, keys, purses, make up and much more.

    Beach

When we go to the beach we typically take a bag and these are big and bright and should be stylish as the beach is where most of the fashion conscious will end up on a hot sunny day. Inside the beach bag many will take their day to day handbag which has some of their essentials listed above.

    Gym

Like going to the beach you do not want to let yourself down with your gym bag so get something that is both practical but also is stylish. Many of the big sports brands like Nike, Addidas and Reebok are really catering their sports bag range for women to look good as well carrying your gym wear and towels etc.

    Summary

So to have many bags for some of the purposes above it well worth looking at some of the upcoming fashion brands like Storm, Bulaggi, Guess, BENCH and LaCoste to name just a few as these will cost a lot less than the high end fashion brands but allow you to change your bags more frequently.

Sometimes in life we look for shortcuts and the easiest way to do something and the same goes for teeth whitening as we crave nice healthy white teeth without too much fuss or effort.

The teeth should change colour every so slowly and for many people it can take a few years unless they take a sudden liking to red wine or coffee and this can decrease the time as the colouring elements in our foods and drink are the main culprit to making our teeth look yellow.

A beaming smile that is consistent in colour and showing a whiter colour will make you feel good about yourself and will increase self confidence especially when we smile. Recent research has proven that by increasing the amount of smiles we undertake each day will make us feel much happier and wit whiter teeth you can have the confidence this can be done showing your newly whitened smile!

Smokers tend to get stained teeth easier than many of us who do not smoke as the nicotine will enter the teeth every time you breathe in the smoke and eventually this will seep in to the teeth and makes them yellow with a slight grey overtone. Smokers tend to have more external staining as this is easier to remove for many. If heavy smoker for many years has really deep staining then this can be more challenging to remove and sometimes can even penetrate to the dentin below the enamel and this is sometimes too late leaving only veneers as the possible solution to having a brighter smile.

Celebrity smokers like Simon Cowell opt for veneers as they show off a great healthy smile but do not get as stained as the more porous natural teeth. And if you have the money veneers are a great option but many would agree if you have nice shaped teeth then changing them for veneers is a bit of a shame and teeth whitening is a less traumatic or drastic option to keep them white without changing the natural teeth in any way.

One of the simplest ways to whiten the teeth is at home by purchasing a home kit which can be a few pounds in price but can be done in the comfort of your home. If used often they will whiten the teeth quite well as long as the staining is not too deep in the pores of the enamel.

Another option is the laser whitening method which is popular because of the speed it whitens the teeth in suck little time well around 60-70 minutes in total so looking for a fast white smile this is a really good option as other than sitting in the chair for this time it requires no effort on your part.

Whatever system you select once you have whiter teeth then the key is to keep them looking that way for the future and the challenge is the teeth are porous and not guaranteed to stay white forever.

These days with the advancement of modern technology accepting the yellow staining on the teeth does not have to be the case as there are plenty of treatments and products to remove the menace of yellowing coloration of the teeth.

We all see on TV adverts the toothpaste companies selling us the dreamy white smile and i am sure that quality toothpastes are not going to make the colour of your teeth any worse but really toothpastes are designed to remove plague and food and drink stuff on the surface of the teeth but these adverts do get our brains working to recognise that beautiful white teeth do make us look and feel good.

Having good dental hygiene is required so regular meeting with the dentist plus regular brushing and flossing will ensure the teeth are healthy but deep staining that is built up in the enamel from drinking copious amounts of coffee or tea as two examples are going to need a tooth whitening product or service to shift these type of staining.

When teeth whitening is used the pores of the enamel (which hold the staining components in the micro ducts) will open and the staining is then released. Sometimes for older people there is a good chance a few attempts of teeth whitening will be required to get through to the deeper stains.

Laser teeth whitening is a good system that uses the strongest possible whitening gel and combined with the heat radiated from the laser lamp will whiten the teeth in a fast time.

This is because the lips, gums and the soft tissues of the mouth are protected the highest strength whitening gels can be used which are painted on the surface of the teeth (typically only the front teeth which can be safely accessed) and then the light is switched on. This light activates the gel which opens the pores of the enamel much quicker than if you placed the gel on the teeth without using a lamp. In turn this system is more efficient than other systems.

The laser method will also get deep in to the stained areas of the tooth which means the likelihood of success is higher with the laser system than tray based systems as an example.

Because the laser system is undertaken by a professional all you will do is sit on the chair and hold the cheek retractors closed and the rest will be done for you. Again this increases the success rate as it takes only an hour or so to see a marvellous difference to the colour.

Whatever approach you take to whitening having more healthy looking teeth can only be a good thing as we tend to see people with brighter coloured teeth as more successful and attractive as well so for a little investment it can well worth doing.

Some individuals who have really heavily stained teeth will need to seek professional advice before going in to teeth whitening but most people a choice of laser, home kits or the bleaching trays will whiten the teeth effectively.
