When investing in just about anything we consider the lifetime value or at least help manage our expectations on how the product or service should last and this is true for teeth whitening.
It does not matter how much you pay for a product or service you enter in that agreement you get a feeling on how long it should last for you.
With teeth whitening the challenge is that the teeth remain porous and therefore the things which are staining your teeth be-it tea, coffee, wine, blackcurrant, curries etc will continue to stain the teeth after you have had them whitened so it is important for customers to recognise this important fact.
With home kits customers typically pay less money and therefore for twenty to thirty pounds customers are not expecting miracles and will expect to re purchase these home kits repeatedly to maintain the results. Sometimes it can take six to ten weeks for the home kits to work at all and many customers give up after a couple of times of usage and never finish the complete program.
For these customers who actually finish the program then with some good results re-purchasing another kit will naturally happen.
For bleaching trays the whole premise is sold under the pretence that the bleaching product used will get re-ordered in the future to maintain the results going forward and help keep the teeth looking white and bright.
When purchasing the trays the majority of the cost in the dentist taking an impression and then the laboratory making the trays to suit the recipients teeth. When you have finished the initial fourteen day course then the gel can be re-ordered from the original supplying dentist or the internet places like ebay for example are selling supplies of gel for the trays.
With the laser teeth whitening treatments this becomes a little more complex. Customers like the laser system because it is quick and offers instant results. Because everybody's teeth are different and the rate of absorbency changes from person to person it is difficult to predict how long the results will last and therefore this needs to conveyed to anyone considering a treatment or at least offer a solution should the results not last as long as expected.
These solutions can range from using a home kit every few weeks after the initial treatment to help maintain the results. This way you benefit from the instant impact and convenience of the laser system but have a way of keeping the teeth looking bright and beautiful.
The absolute best way is a hybrid of laser and bleaching trays as these are stronger than the home kits so using a bleaching tray a few times during the year after the laser whitening treatment will help keeping the teeth looking white.
Some companies do not make people aware of this and therefore run the risk of customers being disappointed but the more professional organisations will advise customers of this and help customers understand that teeth whitening is an ongoing activity as we fight the staining components that enter our mouth daily!

Once you have decided to enter the world of teeth whitening then one of the most popular questions is how long the results will last and teeth stay white and healthy.
What has to be recognised is that teeth are porous and will always remain that way so unless you change your eating habits so dramatically that only white or neutral components enter your mouth then it is obvious the teeth will start to stain over a period of time.

If used once every few weeks the whitening strips will offer a decent option as they are easy to use and relatively cheap.
Another important factor is how porous the teeth are. Some individuals have the type of teeth that simply absorb easier than others and this means for those individuals an ongoing maintenance program is essential to keep the teeth white otherwise their teeth will slip back to their original colour much quicker.
Teeth whitening is similar to weight loss in that you have to keep working on it and for some individuals this can be worse than others. If you go back then years then no body would have heard of teeth whitening but nowadays it is commonly discussed and seen on TV makeover shows.
So what has the future in store for teeth whitening?
It is difficult to predict but there is still plenty of research and work to be done to give customers a better experience and ultimately whiten the teeth quicker, improve whiteness and minimize sensitivity in the process. Let us look at each element.
Speed the process
Modern techniques like laser teeth whitening has decreased the time it takes to whiten teeth to just over an hour but can this be made any quicker. There might be a few minutes that can be taken off the time but really the process of opening the pores and allowing the whitening gel to remove the staining is what takes the time and therefore unlikely that technology can improve that.
Other systems like the bleaching trays there might be scope to decrease the time but the gel is typically used overnight whilst asleep to keep the percentage of the bleach to a level that does not hurt the teeth or the gums. Increasing the percentage means the customer experience for these elements is potentially compromised.
Improving Whiteness
Well there is plenty of scope to improve this area. Teeth whitening always works but does have varying levels of effectiveness on different people. Making the whitening gel stronger will only increase the chance of getting sensitivity so a balance needs to maintained.
Having a teeth whitening gel that is gentle and that does not harm the gums or lips should they accidentally touch the gel would be the ideal scenario for a manufacturer to produce. Currently hydrogen peroxide is the most commonly used product but in the future will some clever scientist use another new product that works and fulfills both goals!
Decreasing Sensitivity
This would be great if very few customers actually got sensitivity in the future compared to a high percentage that currently get it! Using the dentin friendly gel would increase the customer experience and leave them with whiter teeth and a fond memory of the experience.
Summary
Overall the above points are hope that a clever scientist will develop a product or even a range of products that ticks all of the boxes. Very little in life is perfect but the teeth whitening is still quite young and has the time to develop clever and innovative products that consumers will use and like. The current situation is better than a few years ago and things have moved on but consumer expectations increase and the industry must keep delivering in every way.
Teeth whitening is a complex process as everyone's teeth are different and need assessing on an individual by individual basis but it will get better and better particularly as there is so much money generated in the industry all over the world as the word spreads and customers experience the results they want more!

Like any well known consumer brands you have to make a decision whether the appeal of that brand is worth paying slight more for and this is true for teeth whitening brands.With the power of marketing on TV,magazines and the internet brands are positioned in the way that appeals to us and therefore sometimes prices becomes a secondary issue. With teeth whitening the industry is still quite new and therefore marketers are starting to flex their muscles and create brands that appear to offer a product or service that is far better than it is in many cases.
Consumers rarely know this and it is not until they have done further research they find this out to their cost!
Teeth Whitening currently comes in three categories –
Dentist bleaching trays
The trays themselves are pretty straight forward but the whitening gel used in the trays there are some developing brands that are marketing directly to consumers to help the dentists promote the products and use language that consumers relate and understand. The bleaching tray market is all about the recurring sale so having an affiliation with a brand you know, trust and ultimately whitens your teeth is the key this business.
Laser teeth whitening
This is an area that is over subscribed with sales and marketing hype about their brand and products. Do not get me wrong them will work in the main but some of the marketing is not just targeted as consumers as there is a huge market for business opportunities or franchise in laser teeth whitening. Some of these business opportunities sell for around £15,000 so the marketing message is strong and direct and occasionally stretching the truth about results customers can expect.
Home kits
This is currently shark infested waters as there has been some bad press recently about consumers signing up for subscriptions without even realising. The home kit market is massive and many of the products work very well but some oversell the benefits and many of the companies do not make enough attention to the young using home kits too early as this can damage the enamel or gums of youngsters less than sixteen years old.
In time I am sure regulation of the products will be introduced and this will control the supply and distribution of the products or the trading standards or advertising standards agency will step in and ensure the message is accurate and has the necessary terms and conditions associated to ensure consumers have a balanced approach.
Like anything do your research and then do some more research before making a decision and speak to the company offering the product or service before you decide.
The desire for whiter teeth is not going to go away and I am sure more companies will come in to the arena once the size of the market is known. In the UK the market compared to the USA is still small but is growing as consumers get know the products on offer and also see or hear about people who have had their teeth whitened with great results.

There's no reason why Kindle authors can't enjoy those benefits, even when they have no physical copies to sell in the back of the room or to hold up on the podium.
Start your Kindle speaking tour locally. Each town or cluster of towns has a chamber of commerce, which is always looking for breakfast or luncheon speakers. Many areas have free-standing local networking organizations as well. If you're not already hooked into the networking scene in your community, ask a local banker, real estate agent or local service business owner, or inquire at the nearest Small Business Development Center or community development office.
Your book topic may have interest for specialized groups, such as garden clubs, political organizations or churches. Discover which organizations regularly feature speakers at public events by studying event calendars in your local paper or online.
Create a list of organizations that might be thrilled to offer you as a speaker. For each, call or email the organization and ask for the name and contact information of the speaking coordinator. Then call or email that person and volunteer yourself as a speaker. One of the challenges with the whitening trays supplied by the dentists is the high level of sensitivity they create and as a result people do not complete the prescribed course they set out to achieve.
The reasons for this is that teeth whitening products placed on the teeth are designed to open the pores of the enamel to release staining being held in the micro pores. With the whitening trays this process occurs over a fourteen day period requiring them to be worn whilst you are asleep.
Now for deep level staining in the pores the trays can work very well and they slowly penetrate the staining over a sustained period but unfortunately the chance of getting sensitivity is also very high. This is because the micro pores stay open for the period you are using the trays and every day the trays are used the whitening gel will impregnate deeper and deeper and eventually this is what aggravates the nerve endings and causes the pain.
Customers then report the pain become so severe they stop after five to seven days just at the point when they trays start to remove the staining and therefore the whitening result is not as good as you would hoped when you embarked on purchasing the trays.

As a long term solution the trays are a good investment as long as you are disciplined and stick to a long terms plan of teeth whitening but just phase the initial use as this will give you results and a comfortable experience.
Some people just could not consider sleeping with the trays as the thought of having something in your mouth for seven to eight hours per night is just not viable and therefore treatments like laser teeth whitening can a sensible option to the trays.
This treatment takes just one hour and one visit and customers prefer to not have the hassle of having to do something every day which requires immense discipline!
One of the areas of discipline is not consuming staining components we enjoy on a day to day basis including smoking, coffee, curries, tea, etc. This sounds simple in practise but not having a cup of tea for two weeks or not enjoying a cigarette for two weeks is near on impossible.

Bullets are the second most powerful copywriting element, after headlines. Here's a step-by-step guide to creating excitement with these verbal nuggets.
First, generate a dry, factual list of the benefits of your product or service. A benefit is what the product or service does for the customer, an advantage they get from using it. For instance, the benefits of a press release writing service include:
* getting visibility and exposure
* saving on advertising
* making more sales
* gaining credibility
Second, dramatize the benefits. Add passion, mystery, intrigue and contradiction. Note the electricity added here to the straightforward bullets just listed:

Fourth, check that you've appealed to every possible motivation. Bullets should target a variety of reasons people might buy and a range of concerns and interests. Fifth, proofread and check your facts. If you promised "seven ways to make a boring product launch sound interesting," make sure there are indeed seven and not six or eight.
