A Soup To Nuts Approach To Socializing On Squidoo -- From Setting Up A Free Account To Maximizing The Amount Of Laser Targeted Traffic Your Modules Will Bring.
With the popularity of social networking sites exploding. It was refreshing to find one like Squidoo. Unlike MySpace, you can actively promote just about anything you'd like and not have to concern yourself with issues such as being a spammer or having your site shut down because some pimply face kid decided he or she didn't like what you were about.
Squidoo is a "Marketers Paradise" which is still in it's infancy. It has the potential of making alot of people alot of money.
In her ebook Tiffany Dow makes simple and easy work for anyone that is looking to set up a new lens on Squidoo. A quick and easy read.
I was impressed with her no hype, no filler approach to what one needs to do and will have the reader setting up their new lens in record time without any details that could confuse or frustrate the new lensemaster.
In this book you will learn:
* How to speak the Squidoo language.
* How to launch a new lense that's meant to attract attention.
* How to aim your lense at your target audience.
* How to get a Top 100 LensRank and bump up in the SERPS.
* How to nail down your niche within Squidoo.
* Everything new about Sqidoo -- Changes that will impact your socialization strategy.
It's a quick and clear read that spans six chapters and just forty seven pages. When finished you'll know exactly what to do and how to do it. I was totally impressed with her simple approach to details that normally would be percieved as confusing.
Don't let the length of this ebook or the cost determine it's value. It's a steal at any price and it's value immeasurable.
In addition, for those that may be learning challenged, she has thrown in a step by step video that is sure to remove any mystery or confusion.
She also throws in The Multi-Layered Mindset Of Web 2.0 as a bonus. She says, "It's not a buzzword or mysterious new advertising tactic - It's about raising your strategic planning to a level that matches the evolution of the World Wide Web".
Web 2.0 is another evolution of the Internet and it's all about the people. A must read!
All in all I found Tiffany's Ebook "Social Networking On Squidoo" to be an informative and useful approach for anyone that wants to broaden their marketing strategies, making common sense use of the Social Networking site known as "Squidoo"

The Internet black hole. It's a place that, as a website owner or developer, you don't want your website be in. With 489,876,431 entries existing per key phrase and only 1,000 entries being listed per search, it is easy for your website to get lost in the void.
But, there is a way to avoid getting trapped in the black hole. There is a way for your website to be listed in the 1,000 entries. Without this technique, there is no way for search engine users to find your website unless you give them your URL directly. And, that's not very efficient.
The answer to evading the black hole is keyword themes.
Keyword themes, which use specific search engine optimization formulas in early on web development, tie one original keyword phrase as a theme for all images, tags, titles and links, headings, and sub webs. Using keyword themes can effectively ensure a high placement in the search engines. Your website will most definitely be listed in the first 1,000 entries, and in just a matter of 30 – 45 days, your website will be listed in the top 25. Additionally, using keyword themes is a good way to cut advertising and marketing expenses.
Keeping in mind the goals for web development is a surefire way to maximizing the efficiency of keyword themes. The goals for web development are pretty evident: inform, entertain, and covert visitors; attract spiders from as many engines as possible; and rank high in search results for a particular keyword.
There are some basic keyword theme principles to follow when developing a website. The first thing you must do is create a sentence of less than 12 words that conveys the website's most important messages. This is used for the title. Although 12 words might seem long for a title, this length allows for many possibilities and combinations of the keywords without making an overuse violation, known as spamming, in the search engines.
The keyword phrase is first seen in the title. Then, a description follows. Using the same keyword phrase in the same order as the title, write the description. This can be as long as you want. Next, you will need to create tags. Keywords in tags need to be in the same order as the title and description. Tags, too, can be as long as you want. These techniques ensure that there is a unified and cohesive appearance for both spider and visitor.
Now that you have your title loaded with keywords, you can use these keywords or phrases throughout your website. This is your keyword theme. The rule to using these keywords and phrases when using the keyword theme technique is to always use the keywords or groups of keywords in the same order as you did in the title.
Using keyword themes in Meta tags works the same way as it does on the webpage. Keywords and phrases are always placed in the same order as the title and the theme is always listed first.
Links and headings should be created in the same manner. By using the keyword theme in the title, description, tags, Meta tags, links, and headings, you have created a logically optimized website. And, since the keyword theme is in place, the keywords only need to be used a few times in the text. This allows for very rich content.
Limit your use of keyword phrases to five instances for all images, titles, including link titles, alt tags, and headings (limit of 2 for each phrase). There is no limit on use of keywords for links.
The keyword theme technique is an excellent way of ranking high in the search engines. By following all of the guidelines, you can be ensured that your website will not fall into the Internet black hole.

Babies are little wonders that life give us, but babies do not come with instructions that tell us why they are crying. First- time mothers are often very apprehensive because they do not know if the baby is sick, wet, hungry or something else, but overtime they learn that tears are the only way that the little one has to communicate with the world.
Babies may cry trying to grab mommy's attention, particularly during the early weeks of life, because they miss the warm setting of the womb were they developed. Later, they will keep crying for the first three months, increasing the amount of tears as they grow up. However, not all newborns cry a lot. Some are very quiet and only cry a few times a day, which can also be a concern for new moms worrying that something could be wrong since they are not crying.
The true fact is that every baby is different from another and there is no book that can explain about the way they cry, or the time. Some babies cry more during the afternoon, but many others the wake up in the middle of the night crying insistently. Of course, a baby that cries too much, too little, or near to nothing, could be facing a health problem and it would be necessary to pay a visit to the doctor to make sure everything is fine with him or her.
Both mothers and fathers learn to develop a paternal instinct that helps them to determine why a baby is crying. Babies can cry when feeling hunger, boredom, discomfort, or disturbance occurring around them. However, there are many ways to understand why a baby is crying. A baby may find that a feeding bottle will stop their sobbing, but for other babies toys are what brings some joy.
Actually, you can browse online catalogs to find products designed to help parents to deal with baby crying, eg pacifiers ( http://bettysbabystuff.com/category/baby-stuff/pacifiers ). Some babies cry when they want to sleep thus, a white noise machine could be a great aid to help a baby to sleep well. Of course, when a baby is hungry and cries, the only thing a mother can do is feed him or her, same as she will need to alleviate his or her discomfort changing diapers when needed. Babies also cry when they need attention and picking the baby up to bounce him stops his tears.
Your baby is discovering the world that surrounds him/her, and the only way he/she has to communicate with you is howling, moaning, sobbing and crying. If you are a first-time mom, you will soon understand instinctively the crying patterns of your baby and the baby will start crying less often with the passing of months.
Babitha Baby World has a wide variety of baby products to help you in this matter. From rattles to stuffed toys, you can find almost anything your baby needs, not just to stop crying, but for daily care, feeding and more. Just point your browser to http://www.babitha.com and discover all what Babitha has for you.

Do you consider yourself selective when it comes to your choice of perfume? The right choice can make a difference as to whether you stand out from the crowd in terms of classic taste and style. The Bvlgari perfume range was introduced to the market back in 1994 and has gone from strength to strength in regard to popularity and individual customization. Bvlgari is a Swiss company and initially focussed on producing perfumes that only the rich and famous could afford and indulge themselves with. However, they have now expanded and developed a range of products that appeal to a much broader range of customers.
However, in spite of diversifying their products they have still managed to retain that exclusive appeal that is sought after by discerning customers, wanting something just a bit different to the many run of the mill perfumes available on the market. Bvlgari (http://scentsforsenses.com/category/bvlgari) now produces a range of products to suit both men and women, and can be found in over a hundred worldwide retail outlets.
This is a perfume that was originally developed from the most expensive of ingredients, primarily being rose petals, and requiring several tonnes to produce a small amount of pure rose oil. The originally developed "Rose" classic range even to this day remains a favorite with many women, subtly portraying refinement and glamour in the mind of the wearer.
Whilst still expensive, compared to other designer perfumes, the cost is now within reach of a larger range of clientele than has been the case in the past; but there has been no sacrifice on quality and the name Bvlgari is still synonymous with exclusivity and elegance.
Apart from the delicate and enticing scent of the perfume many women are drawn to the exquisite packaging and bottles, truly a delight to have decorating your dressing room. The Jasmin Noir range is one example, with its woody and floral fragrance leaning toward sensuality plus the elegant packaging which hints at mystery.
If we explore the men's range which is proving to be equally popular, we find that, fragrances such as Bvlgari Man, with its oriental and woody fragrance lending just that hint of charismatic appeal, then it's not surprising that this company has continued to expand and take a leading role in the perfume market.
Its well known that you can expect to pay for exclusive brand names of perfumes, but in this instance the very exclusivity and quality has continued to make Bvlgari an in demand and popular range of perfumes. It is a well known fact that cost will not be a deterrent to those wanting an exclusive perfume that will make them feel sensual and individual, but with Bvlgari you have the confidence in knowing that you will have a quality perfume that has evolved from a company that has stood the test of time and proved itself to over deliver on its merchandise. Why not find out for yourself?

A recent conducted poll revealed that 73% of all men prefer women that wear make up anytime, anywhere, 21% admit to liking them but only for occasions and events, while only 6% of all men prefer women with a natural look. These revealing figures make us wonder if wearing a natural look is really what we want, or what men want.
With the arrival of the new century and the rising of the "New Age" interdisciplinary teachings, we were told that a natural look, a natural way of life and a natural-just-everything were the new pathways to follow. Over a decade later, we are now seeing that when it comes to beauty, men have kept their old-time thoughts on what a beautiful woman is; a female individual wearing a mask, the longer the best.
However, there is too much of myth and too little of facts regarding making up. Makeup was invented to accentuate our beauty and hide or correct imperfection, and not to follow guidelines of men that say they prefer women wearing a smoky eyes look. While eye liner has been worn for at least four thousand years with ancient Egyptian women being models of beauty, not every woman looks great with smoky eyes and this is fact, but has nothing to do with making up or not making up.
Finding the right make up for you is the way to go. As women, we sometimes want to lure our loved one with a dramatic "femme fatale" make up, or follow their males advice about what they like to see in our face, rather than what we want to wear, or what suits our face, Fortunately there is a wide array of cosmetics, lipsticks (see http://lipsticklois.com for a huge variety), eye shadows, eyebrow pencils, blushes, foundation bases, powders and more, so you can give making up a go.
The natural look is another myth, because many women understand as "natural" the fact of wearing no makeup at all just washing our face several times a day when it should not be that way. Women have to keep their feminity, which is the distinctive seal that put us apart of men, so when it comes to wearing a natural look, think of using light makeup, rather that water and soap. Actually there is a large variety of natural tones for nail enamel, lipsticks, and blushes that complement with eye shadows in soft terracotta color to give your face a natural look despite you are wearing makeup.
In makeup matters, you have only two expert advisers to tell you how to look great; a professional beautician and your mirror, and this last one is the one that you have to please. If your partner ask you to wear a smoky eyes look, try making up yourself this way. Your partner may say you look so beautiful this way, but listen to your mirror to decide if what you are seeing seduces you and make you look and feel like a rocking superstar. If the experiment fails, you can always surprise your loved with the makeup look that you really want to wear.

Facial care is of vital importance and skin care products contribute to maintaining healthy skin, preventing and diminishing aging signs. However, you must be aware that healthy skin is the result of several elements including eating a well-balanced diet and choosing the right skin care products based on your skin type and age.
Some beauty experts also recommend to pay attention to your gender, because there are beauty products for men and women. Nonetheless, it is necessary to differentiate when you need a product specifically designed for your gender and when a good skin care product will work for you regardless your sex. Naturally, products with aroma distinguish the gender, same as shaving products due to difference in female and male skin tissue. However, skin care products are often hypoallergenic and should be odorless so people can used them indistinctively.
Skin care products should be a part of our daily routine, so the first thing to keep in mind when selecting yours is the need of having both cleansers and exfoliates, because water and soap are not always advisable, particularly for sensitive skins. You will find in the market, skin care products (http://softskinone.com) for oily skin, dry skin, normal skin, and sensitive skin. Thus, learn what your skin type is before choosing your skin care products. You can approach a beautician or cosmetologist to help you determine your skin type if you are not sure.
Regardless of your type of skin, be aware that the formula of some skin care products is intended for a particular age group, often divided in products for mature and young skin. The slight difference of this products is the formulation. Skin care products for mature skin usually includes anti-aging agents, while those products formulated with young people in mind usually include elements that contribute to the improvement of acne, eczema and other skin conditions, although those formulas may also exclude ingredients that could worsen such disorders.
Once that you have chosen a cleanser and an exfoliate, it is time to consider toners and moisturizers, which have to suit your needs based on the same principles used to select your skin cleansing products. On a side note, all the skin care products are available in different presentations and it is up to you to decide what is more convenient for you, whether lotions, creams, gels, masks, etc...
Acne and other skin disorders are not conditions exclusive to teenagers and may occur any time in life. If you are suffering from a skin condition, seek advice from a qualified dermatologist before buying skin care and facial cosmetic products regardless of your age. Whenever you are in doubt about your skin sensitiveness, try the product applying some on a small patch of skin, for instance, behind your ear lob as advised for testing hair dyers.
Our skin changes with the passing of the time, keep this in mind, because you will eventually need to change your skin care products as their effectiveness on your skin will not last forever.

Article Title: The Geostationary Banana Over Texas Project

It may sound like a fake, but it is true. The Geostationary Banana Over Texas project is an 'art intervention' by César Saez, Montreal artist.
This César Saez is a funny guy. Many odd art installations born in his brain, for example colouring the water in Louvre's fountains or releasing a fleet of inflated white crosses into the Montreal skies. This time he would like to launch a 300 meter helium blimp in the shape of a banana, 30-50km over Texas. The expected launching date is August 2008 from around Baja or Sonora , north-west of Mexico.
Ground observers will be able to see the airship; Saez estimates it will appear 10 percent to 20 percent the size of the moon.
The gigantic banana will be constructed of bamboo and paper and filled with helium. Actually, it won't be a geostationary banana (though undeniably sounds good), because the blimp will neither circle the equator nor reach the 'Clarke Belt' -- approximately 35,786 km above sea level.
Technically, the banana is not the latest invention. It will (hopefully) steer itself with the help of propellers and wind-activated gyroscopes, each rotating on a different axis. As the gyroscopes wobble, they'll whirl the banana in a boomeranglike trajectory.
After about a month, radiation from the sun will peel our banana, helium leaks out and the blimp starts to descend. As the airship falls down, friction intensely damages it before landing.
Among Texans opinions are divided. Some people claim that giant floating bananas are art. Others say that Canadians should put their banana in their own country. A number of persons are suspicious: that can be a perfect opportunity to nuke Texas.
As for the numbers, it will cost about $1 million, and so far he's raised one-eighth of that, including a $15,000 grant from the Canada Council for the Arts. So some said the money should have been spent on something else.
A banana is a symbol. It can symbolize anything, or it can symbolize that it doesn't symbolize anything. It is simple, useless and absurd. It is banal. A banana appearing in the Texas sky might seem like a message -- says Saez. But what does this exactly mean? Some humour to the Texas sky? A joke to stupidity? A meaningless vision? Does this refer to something, for example American politics or advertisement industries? Why is it exactly in Texas? You can guess.
Imagine a romantic evening under the stars and… a giant bananana?! I am sure that Douglas Adams would burst into laughter seeing this, and aliens will roar with laughter, too. We hope that nobody will shoot down the banana.

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
Joovia Extreme Sports takes gaming on iPhone to a completely different level. It doesn't restrict itself to be serious all the time, yet the game mechanics still feel high quality. By including humor in the gameplay, it truly sets itself apart from other games on the market.
The game's humor is its most noticeable attention grabber. The game's home page displays a message from Joovia, the voluptuous redhead that stars as the game's main character. In it, not only does she explain the game but she gets gamers laughing – and drooling! The overall tone of the game is a throwback to the dry and clever humor that just doesn't seem to be in the mainstream media anymore. Instead of being overtly sexy or appealing to the serious gamer, Joovia Extreme Sports ties it all together.
Joovia herself is an extremely entertaining character to play with throughout the game. The reactions you get from her range from funny and flirtatious to sassy and snarky. It gives the main character some depth and it will make players keep going through the 30 levels, just to see what she says next. The Moments With Joovia are also an entertaining addition to the gameplay; it seems that it is impossible to get bored with this game with such funny writing put behind it.
With 30 different levels at three different difficulties (easy, normal or pro) gives gamers practically 90 different ways to play the game. It's impossible to go through all of the levels quickly; the amount of hours of gameplay is impressive for an iPhone game. A person could play this game for a long time while they are idle, but it won't wear them out. It's not frustrating like a game of Sudoku or crossword would be, but it isn't as mind numbingly dull as tic-tac-toe.
The basic gameplay consists of the player protecting Joovia from objects falling in the sky. By using your fingers, you can swipe and umbrella back and forth in order to deflect the items. In a weird way, the basic concept is reminiscent of Space Invaders. It is just as addictive and challenging; when the player ramps up the difficulty of the game it truly gets difficult to keep up with Joovia and her wacky ball machines.
By far the best thing about Joovia Extreme Sports is the theme and feel of the game; it is obvious that the humor of the main character is well thought out. It is refreshing to find a game with humor that doesn't seem cheesy or cheap. Joovia Extreme Sports has a lot of clever lines that truly makes it unique. In addition to the game you can go to the Joovia main site to see more comic strips of the main character. With the extra content that is accessible, it is easy for a gamer to get a feel for what Joovia is like.
So if a gamer is looking for a little something extra in an iPhone game, like a cute redhead that is funny and entertaining, then he or she should purchase Joovia Extreme Sports. It's more fun than your typical action-sports game.

You probably heard about the greatest environmental threat of our time: the global warming. Maybe you think that your personal attitude and household consumption don't have such a big effect on our beautiful blue planet. You're right. But more people would change this situation. Now you think that you've heard it for thousands of times, and you know that other people think the same way and won't do anything to protect our planet. It's not your business, there are the green peace activists to solve this problem. But what makes you think that others don't try to change? Nowadays more and more articles and films deal with this topic. So, let's imagine that you are interested in the global warming problem, and you tend to take some steps.
A thick layer of atmosphere, which grows thinner further out into space, surrounds the Earth. The atmosphere consists mainly of Nitrogen. 21% of the atmosphere is Oxygen while just around 1% of the atmosphere consists of other gases like Carbon Dioxide. When sunlight strikes the Earth, some of it escapes back into the atmosphere, but the presence of 'greenhouse gases' like carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, methane, prevents all the radiation from escaping out into space. These gases trap the sun's radiation, heat and energy, and therefore, the Earth's temperature remains warm. So, more and more of the Earth's radiation gets trapped by the atmosphere and the Earth gradually gets warmer and warmer. It is believed that over the past century the Earth has grown warmer by around 1 degree F. This is called global warming, which occurs due to the greenhouse effect.
Vehicles and their widespread use are the leading producer of greenhouse gas emissions and other air pollutants, such as carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons. So your car also produces a lot of greenhouse gases. There are several ways you can limit this. For example, you can use public transport or walk more often; you can choose a fuel-efficient model when buying a car; or you can drive more fuel-efficiently. But there is another great solution: carpooling.
Do you have more cars in your family? All members of the family leave from home at a different time? Usually you go to work alone by car? Then, you are a main enemy of your environment. If you can travel with your family, try to use one car. It may takes more time, but means less consumption of oil and you can also save money. If you don't have a family, or you really can't travel together with somebody, try to use carpool services. There are several sites helping you to find other people interested in carpooling. It doesn't matter where you live, carpooling has become widespread all over the world. Leave your car home and share a ride with somebody who travels to the same destination. Just try to avoid empty seats in your car, carpool whenever possible, and you already did a lot.
Car exhaust fumes extremely contribute to global warming. The United States, as Al Gore writes, is responsible for some 30 percent of greenhouse gas pollution, more "than South America, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, Japan, and Asia -- all put together." Embarrassingly. You can watch his new film, An Inconvenient Truth, which might have little effect on you if you are not ready yet.

While only a few years ago there were clear differences between credit cards and debit cards, today those distinctions have been blurred with debit cards that can be used in many of the same capacities as credit cards and vice versa. Both can be used to make withdrawals at ATM using PIN numbers and both can be used at the check outline to make purchases. Of course, there are still some issues like card protection and resolution policies that distinguish debit from credit. The question that many people have is this: "Which is better debit or credit?" After describing each card, we can take closer look at what each has to offer as well as the common downsides to each type of card.
Credit cards allow you make immediate purchases at a store or on the internet using an established line of credit. You simply enter your card's number and the purchase is completed just like that. Now, of course, what you've just bought isn't actually paid for at that moment. If a credit card is authorized by the store, it means that the card is recognized as having sufficient funds to cover the purchase, but actually payment to the establishment may not come for weeks after, even as long as a month. The bill is paid by the card company. You will also receive a bill requiring you to pay back the amount of your balance, or a portion of it. The specific guidelines for payment and other charges will vary with each credit card company.
Most debit cards function in the same general way. You input the number or swipe the card to make a purchase. Like a credit card, the company who issued your card will pay the merchant through whom you made the purchase. Of course, here is the fundamental difference: any money you use with a debit card must be put there by you. You have to have money in your account. Once the balance reaches zero, you cannot use your debit card until more funds are added. Many banks issue debit cards that take the funds directly from your checking account.
Advantages And Disadvantages
Obviously, the main advantage of a credit card is having access to money when you do not actually have the money to make your purchase. Moreover, you have what is generally a reasonable time to pay off the balance, or even just make a monthly payment on the balance. The disadvantage is that with this access comes the temptation to overuse the card and built a high balance. This balance can be hard to bring under control and even with payments, the interest rates and other finance charges can leave you paying on a card for a long time.
With a debit card, the advantage to having one is knowing how much money is in your account already and using the funds there to make your purchase. This means there will be not bills or finance charges. The card functions the same way that cash and eliminates the need to carry cash around with you. You also protect yourself from getting into financial debt by using only the money that you have. At the same time, if you need to make a purchase but don't have the funds on hand, then you are out of luck.
Ultimately, the decision you make about whether to use credit or debit is related to the sort of spending habits you have, what other money sources you have, whether you've devoted money to building savings and other investments to provide financial support when you may need to buy something or not. Choosing between them and deciding whether the benefits outweigh the disadvantages is a matter of personal judgment.

Article Title: Are 401(K) Loans A Good Idea?

While it may seem like an easy and convenient thing to do when you are a financial mess, taking a loan out of your 401(k) retirement plan is a serious matter. It seems like a great option since it is your money you are borrowing from and any interest or principal you pay is put back into the account. Of course, as with most things in finance, this option is not a simple as it seems and there are some real points to consider before you decide to get a loan from your account. Essentially, the question is whether 401(k) loans are a good idea in the first place.
The truth is that for most people, a 401(k) loan is not the best option for dealing with a money crisis or an unforeseen expense. Ideally, the money should stay in the account until you reach retirement age since that is the purpose of a 401(k) plan in the first place. As any good financial planner will tell you, you need to have some type of savings—this means enough to deal with most situations that might come up—that you can access rather than getting into a loan that must be repaid.
If you are still considering taking out a loan, here are the regulations for securing a loan from your 401(k) retirement plan. Now, typically, most 401(k) plan will allow you to take out a loan—though there are exceptions. You can borrow up to 50% of your vested account balance or an amount of about $50,000, whichever amount is less. Most loans have a maximum repayment period of five years. An exception to this rule would be if you want to use your 401(k) loan to purchase a home. In that case, you will be allowed a longer payback period.
If the financial situation is dire enough that you have to choose between taking out a loan on your 401(k) or cashing it out, you should just get the loan and pay it back. Don't risk paying a penalty for early withdrawal and become stuck with a tax debt.
Sometimes the best way to get a grasp of the situation and where or not a 401(k) loan is the right move is to weigh the pros and cons. There are some clear advantages and disadvantages associated with borrowing from your retirement account.
Pros:
No loan applications or credit checks. The money is yours.
A very low interest rate. This rate is established by the plan and is typically near the prime rate.
There are return advantages. The percentage you earn by paying yourself back can be beneficial.
You have tax-sheltered interest on the loan. In other words, no taxes will have to be paid on the interest until money is taken from the account.
High level of convenience. With some plans, all you have to do is place a telephone call and authorize the loan.
Cons:
An obvious point, you are spending your own money and not borrowing from a lender.
With the money taken out in a loan, you are losing the opportunity to earn interest off that money.
If the loan isn't repaid, it is considered premature or early distribution so you will end up paying taxes on that money. You would also have to pay the standard 10% penalty.
There are no tax advantages, you cannot claim it as tax deduction when you file.
Once you've started using the 401(k) for loans, you might develop a habit of it rather than developing a savings balance from which to draw from on the road to retirement years.
In the end, you should really see a 401(k) loan as a last resort. Remember why the account is there: to prepare you for retirement. Respect that and find other means to deal with a financial situation.

If you are already a business owner then you probably know how difficult and confusing the task of getting business insurance coverage can be. It is fraught with legal complexities and misleading industry terminology at every turn—or so it seems. However, regardless of the headaches, business insurance is a necessity. In fact, you cannot operate a business without appropriate coverage. This means that finding the right business insurance coverage has the potential to make or break your company. What are some essential areas of business insurance coverage and how can understanding what they are help you make more sense of the terms, both industry-oriented and legal?
There are basic ingredients to any sound business insurance policy. It often comes down to the right combination of liability insurance, worker's compensation insurance, and property insurance. At the same time, you need to remember what is out there or what types of business insurance that you could benefit from having. Don't sweat it if you feel out of your depth. Many new business owners feel that way at least at one time or another.
Naturally, if your business operates from a building you are going to need some form of property insurance. This type of business insurance provides coverage for loss or damage to the location as well as any of the contents. You can choose between comprehensive property insurance or opt for one of several specialized (but limited) types of property insurance that provide protect in the event there is a fire or flood damage. Property insurance issues the same coverage to the property regardless of whether it is owned, rented, or leased by the owner.
The terms liability and negligence insurances are often used interchangeable because the latter term better describes the type of coverage provided by business liability insurance. Essentially, this form of insurance protects your business if it becomes involved in civil or legal case, particularly those cases that involve a business issue or an employee injury or grievance.
Businesses that use commercial vehicles are required to provide commercial auto insurance coverage. This type of coverage is only for vehicles owned and operated for business purposes. Essential protections of commercial auto insurance damage to property done by vehicles and damage inflicted upon the vehicles.
One of the more important types of business insurance is worker's compensation insurance. This form of insurance is used to provide coverage for employees who suffer on the job injuries. It is a mandatory insurance dictated by state law, but each state has different provisions for its worker's compensation policies. This business insurance also affords protections to the employer as well against being directly sued by the employee for an injury. Instead, the business contributes to a fund that distributes payments to injured workers who are unable to perform their duties or are hospitalized to cover lost wages and deal with expenses.
In the event the owner or CEO of a company suffers severe injury or death, a form of business insurance called life and liability insurance kicks in to protect the company and the other employees so that the operations will continue regardless.
Again, these were just the major forms of business insurance that are used regularly by almost every business in the country. There are nuances and different provisions for each of these types of insurance types, but on the whole, they are basically the same.

It is nearly impossible for anyone to attend college these days without having to rely on some form of credit and financial aid. The cost of college has skyrocketed over the last few decades and without credit in the form of student loans many people simply would not be able to attend. The costs would be too prohibitive.
Even though the costs of attending college are high, the new global markets and other high paying job opportunities all but demand that a college degree be obtained. This article discusses some ways to ease the burden of paying for college.
Saving and borrowing are the two most common ways of getting money for college. Here are some tips on how you can do both in an effective way.
You can consider using Education IRAs:
These savings vehicles can be an excellent choice for saving for college but they work best when they are started early. Some of the features they offer include: Penalty-free withdrawals as long as the money is used for higher-education expenses for yourself, your spouse, a child, or grandchild. These IRAs allow for qualified expenses. These include tuition, fees, and room and board for postsecondary education and that includes graduate school. The tax advantages of IRAs make them an excellent place to begin saving for an education but, again, they need to be started early so that they have time to grow.
There are many state tuition savings programs available. Many states have tax-advantaged college savings programs that you can join and participate in. They offer nationwide participation which means you can use them no matter where you live. They are also very flexibility. You can open an account for a child, grandchild, or other young person. Best of all there are no limits, which means there are no annual limits to the amount you can contribute.
You may also wish to use home equity loans. With this type of loan you use the equity in your home to help finance the costs. There are some advantages to this. For example, the interest can be tax deductible, and the money is yours to use for any school you choose.
Some of the most popular options are the various student loans that are available. Student loans usually have lower interest rates and the interest can be tax deductible with some restrictions. There are a variety of student loans available. Some of the more well known include: Stafford loans, which are subsidized and unsubsidized federal loans. Private loans, which are very useful when federal loans are not enough to cover costs.
Student loans have to be repaid, of course, and there are many options open for students and parents for doing this. A standard repayment is the principal and interest payments divided into equal monthly installments throughout the repayment period. Another option is to consolidate the loans. This type of payment option will combine all eligible federal loans into a single new loan with a single monthly payment. Then there are the graduated repayment options. These offer smaller payments at the beginning of the repayment term which gradually increase over time. It is supposed that as you begin to go to work and make your career you will be able to pay the higher rate.

Article Title: Why Is Health Insurance Important?

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
It has been said that nothing is more important than your health, and there is a lot of truth to that saying. Among other things, a loss of health can mean a loss of earnings if you are not able to work, and it can also mean medical bills that are extremely expensive. Health insurance can help you avoid some of those costs and it can also help individuals to lead more healthy lives by paying for preventive measures such as regular check ups and immunizations to name just two.
There are several means by which an individual can get health insurance. A person may pay for his or her own insurance. A person may receive health insurance as part of an employment package. A person may receive health insurance through local or Federal programs.
In many instances, there can be a combining of the premiums paid. What that means is that, for example, an employer might pay a certain amount of the medical insurance premium and the employee pays the remainder of the premium, usually through payroll deduction. In other cases, an employer or government entity may pay the full amount of the premium.
As with all types of insurance, health insurance comes in many forms and is available at differing levels of coverage. The best case scenario would be if an employer paid the full amount of the monthly premiums and there were no co-pays or deductibles charged to the patient. This type of coverage is rare, however, unless you are extremely well placed in a company or you are living below the poverty line.
Most consumers will be in a co-pay system of health insurance wherein they are responsible for a certain amount of the bill and the insurance company will pay the rest. As you might imagine, there are many different levels of coverage in these arrangements as well.
Normally, the more money the patient is required to pay from his own pocket at the time of the medical services, the less the monthly premiums will be. For those individuals who are relatively healthy and have a reasonable income this might be the best option for health insurance. For those with a limited income or for those who have health problems this can be a difficult option to live with as the co-pay or deductible of each medical visit will need to be paid for out-of-pocket by the patient.
The importance of having health insurance should not be dismissed or underestimated. Rising medical costs can wipe out a lifetime of savings with just one major medical event. Even the most routine of surgeries can cost tens-of-thousands of dollars, and more sophisticated procedures can easily run into the hundreds-of-thousands of dollars. Health insurance can help pay those skyrocketing cost and help save you from financial ruin.
Before selecting a health program to participate in you should read the contract carefully and understand all of the terms and conditions that are in it. If you are unsure about any of them, ask your employer or the insurance representative for clarification.

Article Title: Should I Get 'Gold' Or 'Platinum'?

Although some of the prestige of gold and platinum cards has disappeared over the last ten years or so, many people still feel that they have not 'arrived' until they get one of these cards. If you are looking into getting a gold or platinum card, then you should know about the benefits and drawbacks before you sign up for anything. Here are some tips to help you decide whether or not to get a gold or platinum card.
Why get gold or platinum?
Gold and platinum cards used to be something of a major status symbol, and those without one were often seen as less successful. Although this isn't so much the case anymore, gold and platinum cards do tend to carry higher credit limits and more features. If you require a high credit limit, and want to take advantage of features such as extra airport hospitality, then a gold or platinum card is for you.
How much do I need to earn?
Although gold and platinum cards are no longer reserved for the very rich, you usually need to be earning at least £20,000 a year to be considered for one. Generally, an income level higher than this is required to get a good deal and all the possible features. If you are on a good wage and have a sound credit history, then you can apply for one of these cards.
What are the costs?
Obviously, these gold or platinum cards have more features, and so you should expect to pay more for the services. They all generally charge an annual fee, as well as having higher interest rates. Before getting such a card you should weigh up the benefits of the extra features against these higher costs.
Beware of the scams
If you are going to get a gold or platinum card, you should be aware of the scams and cons that circulate regarding such cards. There are a number of cards advertised as gold or platinum that are not what they appear to be. Often you will have to pay a number of fees to get hold of the card, or call an expensive telephone number. Also, when you get the card you might find out you can only buy products from certain catalogues set by the lender. Many people get caught by these scams because of the promise that they can get better cards in the future. If you are in doubt, then don't sign anything and look elsewhere.
Are they worth it?
If you have a high income and can afford or need a high credit limit, or if you travel a lot, then a gold or platinum card might be a good choice for you. However, most average people with good credit histories will notice little difference between one of these cards and their regular cards. If you don't require the extra benefits, then go for a normal card with a lower credit limit and lower fees.

Student loans are sometimes not enough to sustain you during university, especially during the tougher times. Even if you have a part-time job as well, there are times when some students need more than they have at the moment. If you are one of these students, then you should look at applying for a student hardship loan. If you want to know more, here are some tips about how to get a student hardship loan.
What is a hardship loan?
A student hardship loan is a loan to help students who are in real financial difficulty due to unforeseen circumstances. These loans were introduced in 1998, and you are eligible if you have applied for the maximum student loan available to you. You can apply to borrow between £100 and £500, which of course you need to pay back. You can only make one application for a hardship loan in an academic year, and it must be one month before the end of that year. You can apply for the loan through the student services department at your university.
Who is eligible?
Eligibility depends on how bad your financial situation is. Usually hardship loans are only given to those who have exhausted other means of finance, and without the loan they will be unable to carry on. You will need to show that there is no other option open to you, and that you are really in need of the loan. Your university or college make the decision on whether or not you can have the loan. If you are successful you can use the loan for books, travel or general living costs.
Repayment terms
Repayment of a hardship loan is the same as the way you repay your student loan. The Student Loans Company will pay the sum directly into your bank account, and you will repay the amount along with your student loan.
Hardship funds
There is an alternative to hardship loans, in the form of a hardship fund. These hardship funds are also for students who are in real financial trouble, but they are usually given as grants and therefore do not need to be paid back. Eligibility depends on both your financial circumstances as well as if your course qualifies or not for a hardship fund. If it does, you can apply for between £500 and £3500, which can be given as a lump sum or as instalments over time. Hardship funds are usually harder to get hold of, and are reserved only for the most needy students.
Alternatives
If you are refused a hardship loan or fund, then you might want to look at banking alternatives to get yourself out of trouble. If you can work more without letting your studies suffer, then this might be one answer. You could also get a credit card to help you in the short-term, or ask your bank for an overdraft extension. If none of these things work, then you might have to borrow off friends or family and save as much as you can until the situation gets better. However, if you are in genuine need of money, you are likely to be accepted for a hardship loan or fund by your university.

There are many different types of credit cards around today, with all sorts of different incentives and features. One of the main categories of credit cards that are trying to get people's attention are reward cards. These cards offer you something in return for spending your credit. If you are looking for a credit card, then here is some advice about the pros and cons of reward cards.
What are reward cards?
Reward cards are simply another name for credit cards that offer you specific rewards or incentives in return for spending your credit. These can range from cash back schemes to travel rewards to discounts on goods. The idea is to encourage you to spend, and that in return you are getting something back.
Cash back schemes
One of the most common forms of reward cards and cash back scheme cards. These cards offer you a percentage of the money back that you spend, usually between 0.5 and 1%. This means that the more you spend, the more money you will get back in rewards. These cards are good for people who spend a lot on their credit cards anyway, but often pay back most or all of the balance in full each month.
Travel rewards
Another main type of reward cards are cards that offer travel incentives, such as air miles each time you spend money or free travel insurance. These cards are great for people who like to travel and want to get some travel related rewards for the credit that they spend.
The costs of reward cards
Although reward cards can offer good incentives on paper, once you look more closely you often see that they are not worth much. The cash back amounts are often low, so you have to spend a huge amount to get anything back. Also, the air miles you earn take ages to build up, and the travel insurance may be extremely limited. Another problem is that most of these cards have higher interest rates and annual fees that basically cancel out the incentives offered.
Making the most of reward cards
If you do fancy getting a reward card, then to make the most of them you should spend as much as you can on the card each month and then pay back the balance in full. This will avoid you having to pay the interest on your balance, and if you can find a card with no annual fee will mean you are getting the rewards for nothing. Although the rewards might be small, if you spend enough and pay it back each month you will get something out of it.
Rewards aren't everything
Although reward cards might seem like a good idea, unless you pay off the balance each month the incentives are probably not worth it. If get a card without the rewards you will probably find your interest rate and fees are lower, meaning that you will pay less overall for your credit card.

It is so easy to get heavily into debt on credit cards that you within a few months or even weeks you could find yourself not being able to keep up with the repayments. If this is the case, then you should think about consolidating your credit card debt. Consolidating your debt can make it easier to manage your money problems as well as helping you to save money. Here are some useful hints about consolidating credit card debt.
What is consolidation?
Consolidation is where you take all of your debts and combine them into one debt. For example, if you have 2 or 3 credit cards with a balance on them, you could get one credit card to cover all of the debts and transfer each balance onto this card. This way all of your debts are covered in one place and you only have one bill to pay.
How to consolidate?
There are different ways you can consolidate your credit card debt. One way is to get out a loan in order to cover your credit card debts and then pay off your credit cards using this loan. Then you can pay back the loan over a longer period of time. Although this is good because the interest rate will be lower than the credit cards, it will most likely take you longer to pay off. Another way is to get a credit card that has a limit that can cover the debts you have, or at least most of them. This way you can put all your debts in one place and pay them off.
Cards for consolidation
In order to consolidate your credit card debt onto one credit card, you need to make sure that you get the right card in order to make it worthwhile. Getting a card with a higher or equal interest rate than you currently have will not make any difference. Instead, look for a card with a lower interest rate that will help you to save money and pay off debts quicker.
0% cards
The best cards to get for consolidation are cards that offer 0% interest on balance transfers. Some of these cards offer 0% for up to one year, which will mean that you will pay no interest on the balance you transfer to the card for a year. This can save you a lot of money as well putting all your debt into one convenient place. For example, if you have a balance of around £3,000 to transfer from 15% cards, with 0% for a year you could save around £200. These cards are especially good if you can pay off the debt within the promotional period.
Cancel your cards
Remember, when you consolidate your credit card debt, it is important to cancel all or some of the cards that you have transferred from. Although cancelling too many cards can hurt your credit rating, it is better to cancel them, as this will stop you from being tempted to use them again and thereby further increasing your debt. If you have 2 or 3 cards with no balance, then get rid of all but one of them so that you have less chance of increasing your debt. If you consolidate your credit card debts correctly then you will make paying your bills easier and save yourself money on interest payments.

Using an ATM is something that most people do on a regular basis, and most of the time they are perfectly safe. However, there are dangers if you use an ATM, and unless you are careful you could end up having your card or PIN stolen. If you want to remain safe and secure whilst using an ATM, then here are some tips on what to look out for when using an ATM.
Driving to an ATM
If you are driving to an ATM, make sure that you always lock up your car whilst you use the ATM, and that you have your keys to hand so that you can quickly and easily get back into your car afterwards.
Shield your PIN
When using an ATM, make sure that you always shield your PIN as you type it in so that no one can read it. Also, make sure that you look behind you to make sure that no one is trying to read your PIN.
Keep your distance
It can be unnerving to use an ATM if someone is standing very closer behind you when you enter your details. Make sure that the person behind you is keeping their distance, and that when you are waiting in line you do the same for other people. This will help to keep your PIN and account details secure.
Be ready
Before you get to the ATM, have everything ready that you need. Have your card in your hand and any other paperwork that you need. Fumbling around at the ATM for your card will not only delay other people but will make you more vulnerable because you will be distracted.
Never keep your PIN
If you have a new card or find it hard to remember your PIN, do not make the mistake of writing down your PIN and taking it with you to the cash machine. By having your PIN written down near your card you are making it easy for potential thieves. Simply remember your PIN and never give it out or write it down.
Take all receipts
Many people are in a rush when they go to an ATM, and forget to take their receipts. Always take receipts with you as they could contain information that can be used to commit fraud against you. If all of your paperwork is secure then you are much less likely to lose money to fraudsters.
Look out for devices
Fraudsters are now using small cameras or electronic card copying devices to steal information from cash machines. If you see anything suspicious at the ATM at all, then do not use the machine and report the problem immediately.
Check your statements
Even the most careful person can become a victim of theft or fraud. Whether you think your card has been copied or stolen or not, you should check your statements regularly to make sure that all ATM use is in order. If you are careful and take these precautions then you should be safe and secure whilst you are using an ATM.

If you are new to the world of loans, then all the jargon and terminology can seem very confusing. There are so many different terms to understand, and unless you know some of them you will not find the best loan deal to suit your needs. If you want to know more, then here is a guide to some of the basic loan terms you might need to know.
Advance
When you borrow money in the form of a loan, the money you receive is called an advance. The more money you want to borrow, then the bigger your loan advance. It is called an advance because you are getting the money in advance of paying for it.
APR
The APR, or Annual Percentage Rate, is the amount of interest you are charged on your loan amount. This amount is written as a percentage, and refers to the total you are charged each year. APR is one of the primary features for comparison between loans, as it is a standard measurement for all loans. The lower the APR, then the cheaper the loan interest will be.
Credit scoring
Credit scoring is a method that lenders use to determine your eligibility for a loan. They ask a series of questions about your earnings and financial situation. Each answer you give is scored, and the better your score then the more likely you are to be accepted for a loan. If you score badly then you might be declined for the loan you want.
Secured loan
A secured loan is a loan that is backed by some form of collateral. Collateral is basically a high-value item that you use to secure the loan, so that if you cannot make repayments the lender can use this item to get their money. For secured loans, the collateral tends to be your home or other property. Secured loans have lower interest rates than unsecured loans, but you risk losing your home if you do not keep up with the repayments.
Unsecured loan
An unsecured loan is the opposite of a secured loan, and requires no collateral. Instead of collateral, your credit rating and earnings are more fully taken into account. The risk to the lender is greater, so the interest rates tend to be higher. That being said, they are less of a risk to the borrower and they are usually quicker to get hold of than a secured loan.
Loan term
The loan term is the agreed time over which you will repay the loan. You will repay the loan monthly over this period until the loan and interest is fully paid back. Loan terms on personal loans usually range from about 1 to 10 years, with mortgage loan terms being longer at around 15 to 25 years. The longer the loan term, the less your monthly payments will be, but the more you will have to pay back in interest over the years.

If you want to get a loan at a cheap rate, then you should look at the possibilities of applying for a variable rate loan. These loans have an APR rate that can vary depending on the base interest rate. This can either work in your favour or against you, depending on whether rates rise or fall. If you want to know more about the benefits of variable rate loans, then here are some tips for you.
What is a variable rate loan?
A variable rate loan is a type of loan that has a changing interest rate. Usually, the APR of the loan will track the base rate of interest, but obviously a few points above this. This means that should the interest rate fall, then the rate of the loan will likely fall. However, if the rates rise then so will the APR of your loan.
Interest rate risk
Of course, the problem with taking out a variable rate loan is that the interest rate can vary, which is a risk if the rates rise. If you are on a fixed income, then getting a variable rate loan could cause problems for you should your monthly payments increase due to an interest rates rise. Before getting a variable rate loan, be sure that you can keep up with repayments even if the rates rise.
Rates cap
Although variable rate loans carry some risk, there is usually a cap on the amount that the interest rate can change, but up and down. This means you will know the maximum or minimum you will pay should the rates change. Getting a variable rate loan that has a cap on will help you to budget and reduces some of the risk involved.
Variable rate is lower
At the moment, getting a variable rate loans looks like a good option, as it is likely that rates will continue to remain quite low. This means a five-year variable rate loan is likely to be cheaper than a similar 5 year fixed rate loan. Also, fixed rate loans generally have a higher interest rate because you have the knowledge that your rate will not change.
Other costs
As with any other loan, you need to consider other costs apart from the interest rate. Costs for late fees, administration fees and early payment penalties are all things you should consider. If you look at all of these aspects then you will find a better loan deal to suit your needs.
Variable or fixed?
In the current climate, a variable rate loan will normally be cheaper than a similar fixed rate loan. However, you need to make sure you can afford the repayments if the rates should increase. If you do this then you can take advantage of low interest rates and get a great deal on your variable rate loan.

If you want to go on holiday but cannot afford the large payment in one go, then you might want to think about taking out a loan for travel purposes. Many people never get to travel to the places they want because of a lack of current cash flow. However, more and more companies are offering loans specifically for travel and holidays. If you want to know more about these holiday loans, then here are some tips about taking out a loan for travel purposes.
What are the costs?
Travel loans are a form of personal unsecured loan, although you can also get secured travel loans in some circumstances. You can usually borrow between £1,000 and £25,000, depending on your circumstances and how much you need to borrow. The length of repayment is shorter than traditional unsecured loans, with typical terms being between 1 and 4 years. You pay back the loan monthly as you would any other loan. Interest rates are fairly competitive, and range between 7 and 10%.
Why use a travel loan?
There are many reasons why you might want to use a travel loan, even if you could afford the holiday with your savings. Many holidays require a large fee up-front in order to secure the booking, and this can be a strain on anyone's finances. Getting a travel loan will allow you to pay for all the associated costs of the holiday whilst still having enough money to live right now. A travel loan can allow you to travel to the places you have always dreamed of going, but thought you would never go to because you couldn't save enough money at once.
Travel benefits
Another advantage of some travel loans is that they come with added travel benefits. Some loans include items such as free travel insurance or possible discounts on some holidays, depending on which lender you use. If these offers can help reduce the cost of your holiday, then it might be worth checking out the loan.
Who provides travel loans?
Travel loans can be got through your normal bank, or through travel agents who have teamed up with lenders to offer travel loans. There are a variety of loans available, and it pays to shop around to find the one with the best features and rates to suit your needs.
Why not a normal loan?
Getting a travel loan is slightly different to getting a regular unsecured loan, but is it better? Well, that depends on your circumstances and how much you need to borrow. Travel loans are dedicated to travel and holidays, and will help you get a better deal on your holiday. However, they have short loan terms, so if you want a longer term then you might want to go for a normal unsecured loan. In general, if you can afford to pay back the travel loan in the shorter term, then it will save you money and help you get the holiday you always wanted.
