You don't have to go through the trouble of eating health foods that taste horrible. There are some types of these foods that give you the same amount of health benefits without compromising the taste. This article contains valuable information about this healthy alternative.
The correct choice of the food that we include in our daily menu is one of the most essential decisions we have to make in our lifetime. There are many sources and causes of illness nowadays. One of this is the kind of food that our body is exposed to. It can be difficult to choose which specific food will provide us the correct health nutrients that we need. The options in terms of food choice are vastly distributed out there and what we will need is jus to search for them.
In terms of resource quantity, nothing will beat the internet. Online sites provide adequate information about a huge variation of healthy foods that are made to fit certain types of needs. There are those traditional health foods that possess solid reputation in health support. There are also those foods which were recently conceptualized by healthy food enthusiasts. The choices are there and the possibility that one or two of those will appeal to your taste is always there too.
An example of a meal that I found truly worth eating is the Shepherd's Pie. It is similar to the original one in every aspect except for the filling which is composed of beef. What makes this so healthy is the complete removal of fat on the beef which makes the meal fat free. I have experimented with this meal a little bit and found out that the taste is greatly improved by pairing it with an onion soup. This combination makes the meal truly amazing! You should try this healthy alternative food!
One innovative way of reducing the fat content of your recipes is to find a replacement for sour cream as one of your ingredients. Non-fat yogurt is a good substitute for sour cream. It is also a healthy choice due to its low calorie content. Not many of us realize how unhealthy sour cream really is. Yogurt does not affect the taste of the food in any aspect and might even enhance its flavor. Yogurt can play a big role in the significant reduction of fat in the diet that most people have. This will lead to lower cases of heart related diseases and lower blood cholesterol levels.
The ideas mentioned above are just examples of the most effective things that I have found so far. When it comes to the food menus that you can use for the benefit of your health, countless options can be found on the web. All you have to do is to be patient enough in looking for these things. Food modification for a healthier purpose is fun and beneficial for you and those that you love.
These foods are so convenient that there is no need to buy expensive ingredients. Instead, all the materials you have on hand can be used to make a recipe that is not only delicious but also good for your health. Being creative is one of the key to become an innovative health recipe chef. Be aware of what can be found in your house and what your taste and health requirements are. Life doesn't need to be so boring because of traditional health foods. Explore and enjoy life!

Not every famous actor has children who grow up to be actors as well. Some children grow up wanting the exact opposite of their parent's career or simply have no intention of becoming an acting legend. A handful of actors' children do decide to pursue movie or television stardom, and a few even get to star with their famous fathers on the big screen.
Will and Jaden Smith in "After Earth"
Will Smith is such a big superstar that he really needs no introduction almost anywhere he goes. His son Jaden isn't quite as well known, but that is about to change. Jaden first starred with his multitalented dad in "The Pursuit of Happyness," playing the son of Will's character. It was a very dramatic film that won kudos for both of them and helped set up a career for Jaden that is about to get much bigger with the release of "After Earth," a sci-fi action movie set for a May 31, 2013 release. In it, Jaden and Will, playing another father-son pair, are both stranded on Earth nearly a thousand years after humans escaped the planet. Jaden's character must find a way to signal for help to save his ailing father's life, which puts him in lots of dangerous situations.
Martin Sheen and Sons in "Wall Street," "The Way," and More ...
Acclaimed actor Martin Sheen has two famous sons who are actors, Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen. Sheen has famously said that he encouraged his children to study and embrace the arts, which is probably a big reason why Emilio and Charlie both decided to get into acting. After his boys established themselves as actors, Martin starred in Emilio's film "Bobby" about the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy, as well as the 2010 film "The Way," both of which Emilio wrote and directed. Martin also starred in "Wall Street" in 1987 with Charlie and has a recurring role on Charlie's FX comedy "Anger Management," playing his father.
Ben and Jerry Stiller in "Zoolander"
Jerry Stiller made a name for himself by portraying great, unusual characters, a trait he passed on to his equally famous son Ben. Though they come from different generations with a different take on what is funny, that doesn't mean they can't join forces and meld both their comedy takes together on camera. They have appeared together in several films, the most famous being the smash hit film "Zoolander," with Ben taking the lead role of the not-so-smart supermodel and Jerry taking a hilarious supporting role, where he gets to steal a few scenes from his famous son.
Michael and Kirk Douglas in "It Runs in the Family"
"It Runs in the Family" is a very appropriate name for a movie that stars legendary actors Michael and Kirk Douglas. Kirk and his real-life wife Diana play the matriarch and patriarch of a New York family that is highly dysfunctional. Their son is played by real-life son Michael, whose real-life son Cameron also plays his son in the film. That's a lot of sons, but it works well to give the film an emotional heft as the family tries to reunite after being somewhat estranged for awhile.
James and Scott Caan in "Mercy"
James Caan was already a successful actor when he starred in the classic "The Godfather" as temperamental mobster Sonny Corleone. The film would take his career to the next level and make him an international superstar. His son Scott decided to follow in his father's very big acting footsteps and has carved out a very nice career for himself in both films and television. He currently stars in the CBS procedural "Hawaii Five-0," a remake of the classic cop show. His father guest starred in an episode of the show in 2012, but that was a full three years after the duo made their screen debut together in the romantic drama "Mercy."
Stephen and Frank Dillane in "Papadopoulos and Sons"
This duo is not as well known as the Smiths or Stillers, but, if their new film "Papadopoulos and Sons" is any indication, both father and son have the star power and screen presence to make it as big as their father-son contemporaries. Stephen, who is known for his work on HBO's "Game of Thrones," stars as patriarch Harry, who loses everything in a stock market crash and must relocate his family to work with his estranged brother in a restaurant. The family includes son James, who is portrayed by Stephen's real-life son Frank. Though there are no announced plans to star in another film together, their powerful portrayals in this film should have audiences clamoring to see them team up again.

Rating: PG-13
Length: 132 minutes
Release Date: May 16, 2013
Directed by: JJ Abrams
Genre: Action/Adventure/Sci-Fi
Stars: 4 out of 5
The "Star Trek" franchise has had almost as many guardians as the Enterprise has had captains. Each has left a stamp on the movies and television shows-though not, alas, on the internet fan fiction-and each has found "Star Trek" to be an almost perfect tabloid to express both their strengths and weaknesses as executive producers. Gene Roddenberry was the first, of course, and his midwifing of the franchise earned him the title "Great Bird of the Galaxy." He deserved the title, if only for the care he showed in bringing his vision of a utopian future for humanity to life. Unfortunately, Roddenberry occasionally took a break from being a visionary genius to actually write episodes of the Original Series (ST:TOS, to fans). The real writing genius of TOS was always Gene L. Coon, to whom the world owes Klingons, logical Vulcans, and the cliché of the expendable red-shirt.
Roddenberry would bring the show back in the late 1980s (ST: TNG), only to have it struggle through its first two seasons largely by reprising old TOS scripts. With Gene's death, the mantle passed to Rick Berman, who was essentially handed the framework of Gene Roddenberry's sweeping vision, but who had the good sense to hire Jeri Taylor to write it all up. Berman and Taylor would eventually be responsible for the later, better seasons of TNG as well as the entire runs of "Voyager" and "Deep Space Nine." These were all Roddenberry's concepts, but with competent writers and directors working from his brilliant inspiration, "Star Trek" cruised into its mid-90s golden age. The Berman/Taylor team would eventually come to grief on the shoals of "Enterprise," a regrettable effort at a "Star Trek" prequel. At last, more than a decade after his death, Roddenberry's ideas had all been used up, and the franchise choked on Hollywood cliché until the end.
What seemed to be the end, anyway. In 2009, JJ Abrams released a gritty reboot of the entire franchise, framing his "Star Trek" remake as what was essentially an origin story for the crew of the original Enterprise. Casting aside such jejune notions as continuity or franchise canon, Abrams took the kind of risk that gives studio executives a heart condition. The 2009 film was set in an alternate history, which was easily the most inspired end-run around die hard "Star Trek" nitpickers-a term used rather affectionately on the convention circuit-as can be imagined. Via a simple plot device, Abrams was free to remake the series in his own image. It was brilliant.
Well, half-brilliant. The latest offering in the lineup is "Star Trek Into Darkness," which has been throwing off mixed signals since before its release. It's successful at the box office, which makes it gold as far as the studio is concerned, but it seems to have faced a certain difficulty in getting made in the first place. Usually, the number of producers credited on a film gives some clue to how much work had to be done to line up financing. Ideally, one executive producer will bring the money, one producer will shout at the director for going over the budget, and perhaps an assistant producer or two will finish out the lineup. As the shoot runs on or faces funding hurdles, more producers will be brought onto the project to secure more financing, get access to another production company's facilities, or whatever. "Star Trek Into Darkness" has thirteen producer credits. In any other movie, directed by anyone other than JJ Abrams, this would certainly not be a vote of confidence.
The mixed signal comes from the rumor that Abrams is already signed to produce and direct "Star Trek 3," which is currently in preproduction. Sequels are for safe bets, not gambles. One is left to conclude that Abrams really knows what he's doing, Trek-wise. Indeed, it's even possible Abrams was the genius who thought to cast Simon Pegg as Scotty.
The plot of "Star Trek Into Darkness" is fairly typical. A distress signal leads to the discovery of a terrifying madman who-in another heedless reimagining-turns out to be one Khan Singh (the awesomely named Benedict Cumberbatch). Abrams' style with "Star Trek" seems to turn not on the visionary wonder of the great dreamer Gene Roddenberry or on the marketability of tight jumpsuits of Rick Berman, but rather on "Star Trek" being a fun shoot 'em up action film. This interpretation continues to draw audiences and keep the franchise alive and kicking, inspiring generations of future scientists, engineers and film reviewers alike.

Rating: R (strong bloody violence, pervasive language and disturbing images throughout, and some nudity/sexuality)
Length: 86 minutes
Release date: May 10, 2013
Directed by: Ryuhei Kitamura
Genre: Horror and Thriller
Stars: 3 out of 5
"No One Lives" is an incredibly gory horror/slasher film from director Ryuhei Kitamura that seems destined to be a cult movie classic among hardcore fans of this genre. Intensely violent and bloody, this film is definitely not for the squeamish or faint of heart. Still, many will get a kick out of watching the increasingly creative and elaborate murders that dominate the second half of the film.
The film focuses on what would seem at first to be its super macho hero, a man simply referred to in the credits as Driver, portrayed brutally by the charismatic Luke Evans. All we know about Driver is that he and his girlfriend have recently moved into town to escape the troubles of their past, although it doesn't seem to be working too well as Driver is too emotionally distant for there ever to be hope of patching things up.
Still, all seems to be at least amicable between them until the trouble starts. The couple is driving down the road when suddenly they are taken hostage by a gang of criminals. These criminals have no idea just how big a mistake they have made.
The audience quickly begins to realize that everything between the couple must not be as it seemed after Driver's girlfriend inexplicably and violently slices off her own head when presented with a chance to escape with her boyfriend. However, this is just the beginning of the violence and blood, as Driver begins to take revenge on the gang that had attempted to hold him hostage.
The rest of the film focuses on Driver meticulously hunting down each of the gang members before killing each one in in a different, innovative way using a variety of different props and tools, including a somewhat cliché scene involving a wood chipper. The gang realizes they have underestimated their would-be victim as more of their members are gruesomely dealt with, and they start running and hiding from this self-proclaimed psychopath and doing all that they can to defend themselves.
The only thing that breaks up the seemingly endless death scenes is the somewhat difficult to understand side story involving the missing heiress Emma, played brilliantly by the seductive Adelaide Clemens. Emma's disappearance has been front page news for months, but soon after being taken hostage, you are treated to a view of Emma, who is bound and gagged inside a hidden compartment in Driver's trunk.
Everything is basically wrapped up nicely at the end, but there is still the feeling that it was all a bit pointless-just one evil man taking out his aggression on other evil men, with seemingly no good characters to be found in the story, unless you can count Emma. Still, she isn't really developed enough as a character to know for sure.
In fact, none of the characters are thoroughly developed, and really none of them are even likeable. Nonetheless, "No One Lives" doesn't pretend to be anything but a gruesome kill fest, and as such the lack of character development doesn't matter so much, especially considering the film's quite short running time of just over seventy minutes, not including the credits.
The dialogue also seems a bit forced, but the cast is still able to pull it all off admirably, and again director Ryuhei Kitamura and writer David Cohen don't seem too concerned with realism or plausibility, instead relying on the over-the-top murder scenes to drive the film forward.
Anyone who is looking for more background or an in-depth storyline will probably be disappointed. However, if you're able to look past these things and just take the film for what it is, you should find it to be both entertaining and shocking at the same time. While there is little doubt that "No One Lives" will never be considered a masterpiece, it is nonetheless fun to watch and provides many memorable killings, some of which rank up there with the best the slasher horror genre has to offer.
Overall, "No One Lives" definitely lives up to its name, and it manages to squeeze in an impressive number of innovative deaths into a shorter than average running time, which works well in this situation, as viewers might start to get bored or desensitized if it continued on much longer. It's definitely not a classic, but it's still a movie that fans of bloody violence and gore are sure to love, "No One Lives" at least deserves a place in cult horror film history.

Creating a WordPress MLM website is on the list of recommendations to people entering into network marketing (MLM). By using WordPress MLM websites or blogs, you and your companies presence on the internet can be created swiftly and simply.
To most people the prospect of building a website or blog is terrifying. All that technical stuff.
But every little thing on WordPress is user friendly – you don't need to know anything about CSS, HTML or any other programming languages.
Every little thing is created using a WYSIWYG editor – 'What You See Is What You Get'. If you know just a little about HTML that's even more of an advantage for you.
Get a Domain Name
There are two factors you will require before you start to build your WordPress MLM internet site.
First you will want a domain name. A .com extension is often preferable despite the fact that it might be extremely tough to locate precisely the name you want to use.
As a word of caution, most multi level marketing companies forbid the use of their business name anywhere within your domain name. For example I would be prohibited from making use of a name like AmwayMervStevens.com. If in any doubt ask your MLM company.
A .com domain name costs approximately $10 per year, though I realize that prices have lately gone up. You can purchase them from places like, Namecheap, Godaddy or GVO.
Hosting
The next thing you will need to have is hosting. Hosting is generally the home exactly where your WordPress MLM website will reside. It's where you can rent your space for your website and where people can see and access your site.
In the event you only want one WordPress internet site it's possible to get dependable hosting for much less than five dollars a month. Hostgator, GVO and Godaddy also offer a number of hosting packages.
You've invested $15 so far.
After you have these then you'll access your manage panel and click on the button that says Fantastico and you will fill out a couple of boxes. Next you'll go by way of to your simple WordPress site.
Go over towards the button on the left that says Look and start exploring the hundreds of free theme styles that WordPress.org provides. You may discover this probably the most time-consuming part of building a WordPress MLM website.
A Blog or a Website?
When you have chosen your design then you might have a couple of alternatives. Do you want your internet site to function like a blog? Or do you need it to appear like a standard website?
If you choose a blog then people will be able to post articles on your site and people will be able to make comments on your posts (unless you turn comments off). Decide on a website and rather than adding content in the form of posts, you use pages instead.
You'll require a few basic pages whichever you choose. It's wise to have an About Me page in your WordPress MLM internet site. Add a nice skilled picture of your self smiling as well as a little information about your self.
You also want to add a Make contact with Me page. This may include your telephone number if you want to give it out and an e-mail address, fax number, mobile telephone number – whatever you're comfortable with.
Adding Content
Now you can start adding content. Entering it into the WYSIWYG page you'll see the control panel is similar to Microsoft Word.
There's a button for adding video quickly as well as graphics and photographs. You are able to even save your articles in draft form and come back to them later.
In the event you write a number of posts you'll be able to schedule each and every one to published on specified days.
You'll soon discover about the hundreds of free plug-ins which can be offered too. These can help with search engine optimization (SEO), and it's possible to add social media buttons in the click of a mouse.
As soon as you start developing your WordPress MLM website you'll see how straightforward and simple it is to create an online presence for you and the products and services you offer!

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
Degenerative disc disease is a spinal condition that affects nearly all individuals as they reach middle age. The condition is defined as the gradual break down of the intervertebral discs, which are small pads located between adjacent, articulating vertebrae. Discs are responsible for absorbing shock and equally distributing the pressure that is placed on the spine when an individual bends, twists, and performs various other movements. Over time, these responsibilities can begin to take a toll on the discs, and they can literally begin to break under pressure.
Aging & the Intervertebral Discs
Discs are made up of two components: the annuli fibrosi (the discs' tough outer shells) and the nuclei pulposi (the discs' gelatinous centers). As an individual ages, the discs' annuli can begin to harden, making them less adept at absorbing impact. At the same time, the nuclei can begin to lose water content, which can interfere with the discs' ability to disperse impact evenly in all directions.
Herniated & Bulging Discs
Degenerative disc disease is often associated with two common spinal conditions: herniated and bulging discs. In the case of a herniated disc, the disc's nucleus pulposus has entered into the spinal canal by way of a crack or tear in the annulus fibrosus, which typically occurs due to the hardening of the annulus. With a bulging disc, on the other hand, the nucleus pulposus remains contained within the annulus fibrosus, which has not (yet) developed a crack or tear. Rather, the disc's wall has weakened to the point that it can no longer contain the nucleus within its normal boundaries, allowing it to shift out of place and bulge to one side or circumferentially.
Symptoms of Degenerative Disc Disease
Some patients who suffer from herniated or bulging discs experience no symptoms at all, while others can experience a variety of symptoms at a range of intensities. Whether a patient experiences symptoms or not largely depends on whether a herniated or bulging disc has led to neural compression. When a herniated nucleus pulposus or a misshapen disc wall comes into contact with a spinal nerve, nerve root, or even the spinal cord itself, patients can experience:
- Pain
- Numbness
- Tingling
- Muscle weakness
The location of these symptoms is dependent on the location of the neural compression. When a nerve in the cervical spine is affected, patients can experience symptoms in the head, neck, upper back, shoulders, arms, and/or hands. When the lumbar spine is affected, patients can feel discomfort in the lower back, hips, buttocks, legs and/or feet.
Treatments for Degenerative Disc Disease
The majority of patients who are diagnosed with a herniated or bulging disc will find relief in the form of conservative, nonsurgical treatments. This can include a combination of medication, physical therapy, lifestyle modifications, and/or alternative therapies. A small percentage of patients may require surgical decompression, which can require weeks or months of rehabilitation depending on the type of procedure performed. Patients who are advised to consider surgery would be best served to receive a second or third opinion to ensure that surgery truly is necessary.

A micro back fusion procedure allows some patients to experience the benefits of neural decompression and spinal stabilization without many of the drawbacks associated with a traditional spinal fusion surgery. This article will explore some of the downsides to undergoing a traditional spinal fusion, and explain how a micro back fusion procedure can eliminate many of these drawbacks.
Traditional Spinal Fusion
Traditional spinal fusion is performed by way of an open neck or back surgery. This essentially means that a surgeon has made a large incision in a patient's neck or back and has dissected musculature and other soft tissues in order to gain access to the spine. Once the surgeon has access to a deteriorated intervertebral disc that can no longer properly support adjacent vertebrae intervertebral disc, he or she removes the disc in its entirety. An intervertebral cage is then inserted in the empty space and is attached to the surrounding vertebrae with surgical hardware. Bone graft material is inserted into the intervertebral cage with hopes that it will eventually fuse with the adjacent vertebrae.
Due to the invasiveness of these operations, and because they require the dissection of musculature, they can require a significant amount of recovery time. Patients are often required to stay in the hospital for several nights before they're ultimately released to begin a painful and arduous rehabilitation. Some patients require several weeks or months of rehabilitation before they're able to resume their pre-surgery routines. Unfortunately, some patients experience failed back surgery syndrome (FBSS), which is the continuation – or even the worsening – of symptoms following surgery.
Micro Back Fusion
Unlike traditional spinal fusion that requires a very large incision, micro back fusion is performed endoscopically through an incision that is typically less than one inch long. The surgeon inserts a series of tubes (each one slightly larger in diameter than the last) through the incision, which gently moves soft tissue to the side and eliminates the need to dissect any musculature. A camera and tiny surgical tools are fed through the tube, and the surgeon begins the process of removing the affected intervertebral disc. An implant is then inserted in the empty disc space and micro hardware is used to connect it to adjacent vertebrae. Bone graft material is also inserted, and will eventually fuse the implant and the surrounding vertebrae together.
These procedures are performed on an outpatient basis and require a much less intensive rehabilitation than traditional spinal fusion. Most patients are able to resume daily activities within a matter of weeks, and some even experience immediate relief following their procedures. Patients also face a lower risk of developing FBSS than they would if they had undergone traditional spinal fusion.
Deciding Between the Two Procedures
Patients who are interested in undergoing micro back fusion in lieu of traditional spinal fusion should consult with their physicians to learn more about the risks and benefits of both procedures. Before consenting to any operation, it may be in the patient's best interest to receive a second or third opinion to ensure that surgery truly is their best option for relieving neck or back pain.

When your physician recommended a spinal disc fusion surgery, like most patients, you probably went home and consulted your friend the Internet. Your research may have revealed that this type of operation is highly invasive and often requires a very large incision. You may have discovered that the operation will require a lengthy and arduous rehabilitation, largely due to the fact that it requires the dissection of the muscles and ligaments in the neck or back. And, like many patients, this information may have left you frightened and unsure of whether undergoing the operation would even be worth the long, painful recovery. Fortunately, you may be a candidate for a minimally invasive alternative to a traditional spinal disc fusion operation.
Minimally Invasive Stabilization
Much like traditional spinal disc fusion operations, minimally invasive stabilization procedures aim to decompress a spinal nerve, nerve root, or – in some cases – the spinal cord itself. In both types of procedures, this is accomplished by removing a damaged intervertebral disc that is pressing against a neural structure. Both procedures also require restoring and filling the disc space that has been left void by the removed disc. The procedures also both require the fusion of the adjacent vertebra to stabilize the spine. How, then, are spinal disc fusions different from minimally invasive stabilization procedures?
The primary difference is found in the surgical approach. While a traditional spinal fusion surgery requires a large incision that dissects musculature, a minimally invasive stabilization procedure is performed through a very small incision that is typically less than one inch long. Rather than dissect the surrounding musculature, a surgeon gains access to the spine by gently pushing the muscles to the side, which is accomplished by inserting a series of tubes, each one slightly larger than the last. Finally, once the surgeon has access to the spine, he or she can remove the affected disc to decompress the pinched neural structures. An implant is then inserted to restore disc space, bone graft material is added, and tiny hardware is used to fuse the adjacent vertebrae.
Other Differences
While patients who undergo traditional spinal disc fusion operations typically spend several nights in the hospital, minimally invasive stabilization procedures are performed on an outpatient basis and allow patients to go home shortly after surgery. And, while traditional fusions can require several months of rehabilitation, most patients who undergo minimally invasive procedures are able to resume their daily activities within a matter of weeks.
Consult Your Physician
If you're interested in learning more about minimally invasive stabilization as an alternative to traditional spinal disc fusion, consult with your physician. If he or she isn't familiar with this state-of-the-art procedure, your physician should be able to recommend a spine specialist who is.
Keep in mind that all operations – even those that are performed endoscopically – come with certain risks, including infection and blood loss. Make sure you discuss these risks and other potential complications with your physician. Before consenting to any operation, you may want to receive a second or even third opinion to ensure that surgery truly is your best treatment option.

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
In a number of articles, I have written about the existence of past life personalities, and how they sometimes assist us in accomplishing our missions in this life. I am not the first person to advocate the theory of past lives helping their present incarnation in certain circumstances. I do not know the who, what, when, where, how, and why of this supernatural occurrence. I am a Board Certified Hypnotist (I have no reason to brag), and I can speak affirmatively about the likelihood of reincarnation. I know that there are thousands of intelligent people who have experienced past life regression and would quickly attest to the reality of the practice.
It is sometimes difficult to determine where my metaphysical theories originate. One person proposed that Arthur may come through my subconscious. This is possible since the accumulated experiences of our past lives are contained in our subconscious. We may not always be aware of them due to the safeguards enacted by the Cosmic Administrators. These are the precautions established by higher beings to prevent interference with the operation of physical reality. This is an entirely different discussion.
Another person stated that the information could come from my Higher Power OR Greater Self. This theory is also a real possibility, since our Higher Powers are collective beings comprised of our past lives. I have spoken about this in other articles on collective entities. The question is whether or not Arthur has been assimilated into my Greater Self. I have my doubts about this.
I have been told by more than seven different mediums that Arthur is present in my environment as a spirit. A few of these medium are widely respected for their ability to communicate with other-worldly intelligences. I am speaking primarily of human spirits of course. I know for myself that Arthur has communicated with me in many ways. Sometimes past lives have their own agenda for you and this why they appear in your life.
On one occasion, a medium relayed me that Arthur was telling her that he was a teacher (not an academic teacher) and that he would lecture from a book. I understood what that meant, so I purchased his book, "The Fellowship of the Rosy Cross," which, as I understand it, is a kind of manual for his Rosicrucian Order. I received an intuitive message that he wanted to revive the organization in America. I had trouble comprehending his book, so I said no to him. When I returned to the church, the same medium told me that Arthur said a couple of people have told him that they could not read his book. Keep in mind that the medium did not know what this conversation was about. I'm sure there are many people who do get Arthur's writing style. I think it's just a matter of exposing yourself to it. In any case, this is an example of how your past life may have ideas that do not necessarily agree with the course you have decided to take in your spiritual journey. After all, life is a spiritual journey that we must make ourselves. It is our life to experience. Not someone else's. That does not mean that we will not receive the support of others along the way.
AE Waite has given me insight about the nature of reality and has assisted me in my writings. He provides me with metaphysical knowledge that lies within limits of his experience. Arthur exists as a disembodied spirit and possesses a life-time of arcane knowledge. I received a message from Arthur I feel he wants me to communicate to those who are willing to hear it. Arthur asserts that the human race is at the threshold what he refers to as the "Age of Consciousness." If this term has been uttered by anyone else, I can only say that Arthur is validates this statement. This phrase came through to my consciousness, so I decided to use it.
I believe this time to be an expansion of human awareness. The Age of Consciousness shares a relationship with what other mystics, shamans, mediums, and other psychic practitioners refer to as a paradigm shift, transformation, the great change, and so on. I feel this event has enormous implications for humankind.
I do not have a clear sense of exactly what this transformation will bring us. Some notable psychics tell us the cosmic energy the Earth is receiving is a sign of a Great Awakening. It is the higher forces reaching out us. This Great Awakening has been prophesized by some the greatest mediums, psychics and channeled beings of the past one hundred years. The dates have always been wrong. The reason for this inaccuracy is that the Spirit World does not operate by clocks and calendars. According to universal law, things take place at the appointed time. We will not know this time until it is close. However, we can certainly get approximations some time before the event hits us. In fact, it's likely that we have been in this Paradigm Shift for decades.
In my opinion, we are now in the part of this transformation where it has become visible to those who can sense its presence. People like Louise Hay and Rhonda Byrne who wrote the Secret gave momentum to the Great Awakening. The law of attraction created a lot of excitement among people who had no knowledge of mysticism. When The Secret made its appearance, people with no interest in metaphysics began to explore the universal laws. Some even questioned the nature of reality. So the Great Awakening has begun.
I have mixed thoughts about what will transpire with this Great Awakening. I am confident that if are we successful and push through it, we will enter an era of immense metaphysical experimentation and discovery. I am of course talking about ideas that currently exist outside of scientific knowledge or pursuit. I do realize that there are some rebel scientists in the paranormal field. This has always been true since at least the Industrial Age, if not earlier. While we are moving into an exciting era, it is an uncertain and unstable period. This statement is based on my impression of what is happening in the world. The picture is only partially drawn. I do not predict the future. I have an analytical mind, and I look at situations objectively and come to the most likely outcome. Allow me to elaborate on this rather pessimistic scenario.
The Mass Consciousness has reached a critical point in its spiritual evolution. I think all of us will agree that the world is facing a serious economic crisis. Many large economies show signs of being on the verge of collapse. I am not certain how grave this situation truly is since there are varied reports being put out by people and sources purporting to be experts in the area. I can honestly say the signs point to an impending global economic meltdown. Ask the millions of homeless and unemployed people living in the United States. It may not be plainly visible with people living in cardboard boxes (at least in most places), but nevertheless it exists. Does that mean this disaster will actually occur? I think this matter rests in the hands of the Universal Consciousness. Some say Mass Consciousness must raise the planet to a higher vibration by thinking positively. I wouldn't say that this will change the Divine Prophecy, but it may help us get to the Great Awakening.
I have heard a number of politicians state unambiguously that the US Treasury has no money to pay its bills. This includes social security, unemployment, military, Federal Civilian Pay, and a host of other obligations. Apparently the government is relying on loans, to pay our bills, which is why the president keeps asking congress to raise the debt ceiling every year (I'm making this complex issue simplistic). This is not an intelligent long term plan. In this sense, I do not understand why politicians argue about decreasing the deficit. It does no good for the government to make cuts if they continue to take out loans or printing more money. I think that's enough for this tirade. Is this dire economic situation I am describing a definite outcome? Certainly not. This scenario is a possibility, among many possibilities that could become a probability according to the law of cause and effect.
There is another way of looking at the heavy matters weighing on us. I do believe that positive strides can be made by resilient people in the face of adversity. If the human race is subjected to a large scale depression or even worse, a global warming catastrophe, it will likely bring out the best in humanity. This is assuming we are meant to survive such a disaster. I firmly believe that there are times when a person must swim upstream just to see how far he or she can get. It motivates us to become better people. Our challenges transform us. Although we all want to avoid pain, it is necessary for our spiritual growth. We have all had our share of personal misfortunate. Some overcame our defeats while others have drowned in them. For the most part, we have seen that tragedies bring out our better side. It may take a global disaster to get our attention and stimulate our spirits, thus initiating the Great Awakening. The possibility of a Great Awaken is certainly a good one.
It's equally possibly, that the Universal Consciousness may determine the human race to be a botched experiment. My impression is that if the human race is not able to reach a higher level of consciousness, it may suffer the same fate as the Atlanteans and Lemurians. Civilizations have come and gone. On this planet, races such as Atlantis are looked upon by the Universal Mind as "experiments." What the Source is trying to prove I do not know. Maybe the Cosmic Administrators are waiting to see if we can achieve the Great Awakening to move on to the next phase in this human experiment. I believe it's called Divine Design. This phrase may have different meanings according to a person's faith.
One thing that may help us in these uncertain times is unity. I am talking about global cooperation among alternative health care practitioners and spiritual advisors of all sorts. I am not going to even approach the near impossible subject of organized religion concerning this inspired thought. I am sending out this message to those of us who have been awakened to the illusion of reality. These are the people possessing the ability to share their insight with others who are unaware of their condition. I feel that if spiritual practitioners were to create a united alliance, we would stand a better chance of bringing about the best possible outcome in this worldly transformation. This kind of combined higher vibration, produced by the activity of thousands of spiritually awakened human beings, would have an awesome impact on the possibilities that lie ahead for the human race.
I can see some difficulties in bringing about an alliance of the spiritually awakened. The primary reason being the beliefs and philosophies that divide both the spiritually organized, and the independent psychically endowed (if you will) people. As it stands now, spiritual teachers and organizations are splintered. We who practice the higher arts are passionate in our ideologies. We are quick to defend our position about a particular piece of the Master Plan, even though deep down we know that we all possess a piece of the Divine Truth. We hold on to our knowledge as if our lives depend on it. This inability to come together as an allied force may lead to humanity's downfall. I admit I am being a bit dramatic. I just trying to make my point clear.
I realize I am not the first person to receive this inspired thought from the other side. This idea of a spiritual alliance among the awakened has been whispered to many of us. In some cases, the message has been heard like a blaring trumpet. I have heard that some groups have already formed in an attempt to create the kind of alliances I am speaking of. I applaud their effort. I hope to see more of this positive vibration building in the world as the Paradigm Shift takes its course.

Basement remodeling can be a large undertaking, and choosing the method you use to finish your basement isn't something that should be taken lightly. After all, you're making a significant investment – both in terms of time and money. Because there is a multitude of basement remodeling methods available, choosing the best one for your home can seem overwhelming. However, by simply assessing your practical needs, selecting your basement finishing method could be easier than you ever imagined.
Consider the Health & Wellbeing of Your Loved Ones
Mold and mildew are common problems in finished basements. Many homeowners wrongly believe that a musty odor and unsightly black and green splotches are the only things they have to worry about with regard to mold. However, a mold problem can cause far worse problems. Did you know that exposure to toxic mold growth can cause sinus congestion, asthma, migraines, nausea, muscle and joint pain, erectile dysfunction, and – in severe cases – even certain types of cancer. To ensure that your loved ones are spending time in a safe, mold-free environment, you may want to utilize a basement remodeling method that is specifically designed to prevent the growth of mold and mildew.
Think About Future Home Repairs
Unfortunately, many homeowners are forced to undo some of their hard work when their homes' foundations, plumbing, or wiring systems need repair. To prevent the need to tear out (and subsequently rebuild) a basement wall, you may want to use a finishing method that provides easy access for certain home repairs. Some methods have walls that can be conveniently removed and effortlessly put back into place. This can not only save an abundance of time and effort, but can also lead to significant cost savings because you won't need to endure the expense of hiring a contractor to patch, sand, prime, and repaint your basement wall.
Take Your Climate into Consideration
If you live in an area that experiences chilly winters, you may want to choose a basement finishing method that protects against uncomfortably cold temperatures. Some methods have built-in thermal insulation to help the basement stay warm and toasty regardless of the temperature outside. If your basement isn't adequately insulated, you may find the room too cold for comfort and may be relegated to using your basement only during the spring and summer months.
Bear in Mind How You'll Use Your Finished Basement
Some basement remodeling methods are better suited for certain uses than others. For instance, if you plan on transforming your basement into a home theater, then you may want to take advantage of a basement finishing method that has built-in acoustic insulation. Such methods can not only help enhance sound, but they can also help contain noise within the basement. This means that you can crank up the volume without having to worry about disrupting family members on your home's upper levels.
When in Doubt, Consult a Contractor
If you've assessed your specific needs and are still unsure which basement remodeling method will be ideal for your home, reach out to your local basement remodeling contractor. He or she can help you choose a method that will fulfill your practical needs and meet your budgetary requirements so you end up with your ideal finished basement.

Finishing your basement opens up a world of possibilities. Will you transform the unused space into your own personal oasis? Will you create an area just for the kids? How about a place for entertaining friends and loved ones? If you're having a hard time choosing a purpose for your finished basement, you may want to consider some of the ideas discussed in this article.
Set Up a Home Office
If you ever find yourself struggling to concentrate on your TPS reports because the kids are making too much racket, then you could benefit from creating your own home office. Some of the newer basement finishing products have built-in acoustic insulation, so you're sure to enjoy a quiet space no matter how rambunctious the kids are upstairs. Who knows, with a home office space, you might just find the motivation you need to start your own business!
Create an Additional Bedroom
If you're like many other families these days, then your house is just about filled to its brim. Sure, that three-bedroom home seemed more than spacious enough when it was just you and your spouse, but with three kids under the roof, it may just be too cramped. If this describes your current living situation, why not transform your unfinished basement into a bedroom for one of the kids. Or, you could even create your own master suite where you and your significant other can rekindle the romance. Since many basement finishing products have built-in thermal insulation, you probably won't need to worry about the room becoming too chilly during the winter. And, because you or a loved one will be spending a considerable amount of time in the room, make sure you choose a method that will stand up to mold and mildew.
Provide a Place for the Whole Family to Hang Out
If your family shares similar interests, then it could be fun to create a special place where you can all hang out. Are you a family full of movie buffs? Create a home theater! Do you all enjoy playing pool? Make a billiards room! Are you fitness freaks? Create a home gym! Or, you might just want to create a new family room where you can spend quality time together without any specific activity in mind. No matter how you choose to use your new family room, you'll want to select a basement finishing method that will accommodate your needs. For instance, if you plan to create a space that will be filled with electronics, then consider one of the systems with removable trim components that easily hide wires.
Consult Your Local Basement Remodeling Contractor
If you're ready to begin the exciting process of transforming your basement into a warm, welcoming space, then reach out to your local basement finishing contractor today. He or she can assess your needs and help you find your family's ideal basement finishing method. If you're not confident that your contractor is truly listening to your needs, don't be afraid to schedule a consultation with a different company.

Planning a basement finishing project can be an overwhelming task. After all, a basement remodel requires a significant investment in both time and money. Who wants to spend weeks or months planning a project, and shell out thousands of dollars, only to discover that their finished basement doesn't live up to their expectations or full meet their family's needs? No one, that's who. Fortunately, planning a basement remodel in a way that ensures your family's complete satisfaction is as easy as 1, 2, 3.
1. Choose How Your Family Will Use the New Space
There are virtually countless ways your family can use a finished basement. Some options include:
- Home office / study room - If anyone in your home needs a quiet space where they can concentrate on an important task (like studying for an exam, or finishing up some TPS reports, for instance), then a home office or study room can really come in handy. Make sure your basement is well lit, add a desk and an ergonomic office chair, set up a computer and printer, and you're ready to go.
- Spare bedroom - If all the bedrooms in your home are occupied, then you probably don't have anywhere to house overnight guests. Rather than relegate your guests to the couch, you could create a spare bedroom in the basement. Add a comfortable bed, luxury linens, a cozy rug, and your guests will feel like they're in a five-star hotel.
- Media room - If your family is full of film fanatics, a media room can prove incredibly useful. You and your loved ones won't only have a space for enjoying one of your favorite hobbies, but you'll have a place for spending quality family time.
2. Choose a Basement Finishing Product
Once you've decided how you'll use your finished basement, it's time to choose a basement finishing product. Some of the newer products on the market have features that make them ideal for specific uses. For instance, some products have built-in acoustic insulation that can enhance sound, creating a truly unparalleled movie-watching experience. Other products feature heavy-duty thermal insulation that help the basement stay warm and toasty during the chilly winter months. This type of finishing product is ideal for families who plan to use their basements year round (think spare bedrooms and home offices).
3. Select a Contractor
You know how you want to use your finished basement, you've done your research and chosen a basement remodeling product that will suit your family's needs. Now you just need to select a contractor who can bring your plans to fruition. Perhaps the best way to find a trustworthy contractor is by asking friends and neighbors for recommendations. You can also consult the Better Business Bureau's website to make sure a contractor is on the up-and-up. You'll know you've selected the right basement finishing contractor when he or she truly listens to your family's needs and lays out a plan for helping you accomplish your goals.

If you are planning a basement remodeling project, you may want to speak with some of your friends and neighbors about the trials and tribulations they have experienced with their finished basements. Hopefully you can learn from their mistakes so your new space will be warm and welcoming year round. You'll probably find that they'll advise you to choose a basement remodeling method that offers the features outlined below.
Protect Your Space Against Mold and Mildew
Basements are especially prone to mold and mildew infestation since they are dark, damp spaces. If you have ever spent time in a basement that smelled musty, then it probably had significant mold damage lurking behind its walls. You can protect your basement against mold and mildew by choosing a finishing product that is specially designed to inhibit growth. Unlike drywall, these methods are made from breathable materials that make them inhospitable to these icky fungi.
Do Not Restrict Your Access to Certain Components of Your Home
Unfortunately, finishing a basement sometimes keeps a homeowner from accessing piping, wiring, and the home's foundation. In the event that these components ever require repair, you may need to tear out some of your basement's walls. Or, you could install a basement finishing method that features easily removable walls that provide convenient access for certain repairs. While these methods may cost a little extra up front, you will probably find that they will pay for themselves if you ever need to make a foundation, electrical, or plumbing repair.
Make Sure Your Basement is Comfortable Year Round
Basements can get downright chilly during the winter months. Unfortunately, some basements get so cold that they are simply unusable during certain months of the year. What good is a finished basement if you can only use the space some of the time? You can ensure that your basement is warm and toasty by choosing a method that has built-in thermal insulation. What's more, the added insulation can actually help you keep your monthly energy bills at a minimum because you will be able to keep your basement at a comfortable temperature without needing to run your HVAC unit as often.
Keep the Noise Contained Within the Basement
If you plan to create a home theater or game room, you will want to make sure that noise from the basement does not disrupt family members on the home's upper levels. You can easily do this by choosing a basement remodeling method that has built-in acoustic insulation. As an added benefit, acoustic insulation can also enhance sound within the basement, making for the ideal home theater.
Get Started Today!
Let's face it: Your basement is not going to finish itself. Reach out to your local basement finishing contractor today and get started on creating your new living space. Make sure your contractor takes all your family's needs into consideration, including your budgetary constraints and aesthetic preferences. You should also discuss with him or her how you plan to use your basement so he or she recommends a compatible method.

If you are overwhelmed with clutter or desperate for a quite work space, 12x16 shed plans DIY can provide the answer you seek. Sheds are great for storing seasonal equipment like lawnmowers and snow blowers as well as tools like ladders and shovels. These cozy buildings also provide an ideal work space for those who wish to find a place to call their own.
What to Look For in Shed Plans
A good set of shed plans will include drawings set to scale along with construction details like a nailing schedule. In addition, shed plans are most helpful when they include a materials list that includes both the size and the quantity of the materials required to construct the shed.
Keep in mind that choosing to build a shed yourself does not exempt you from local building ordinances. Most municipalities require a property owner purchase a building permit. The building inspector will most likely have to approve the plans before construction commences and then give the final okay once the shed is built.
Easy-to-Add Style
Most homeowners are pleasantly surprised to learn a shed is not necessarily synonymous with a box-shaped building void of windows. A number of plans available today include modern studio designs for the stay-at-home office. Quaint cottage looks and green house designs are also popular among hobbyists. For the traditionalist, barn sheds, gable sheds and lean-to plans are also readily available.
In addition to customizing the look of the shed through up-to-date designs, a number of DIYers add personality to their sheds through the use building materials. Siding can be used in place of plain painted walls, and elaborate wood trim can add a unique look. Affordable materials that resemble the look of slate and copper are also available as roofing options.
Take a Breather Now and Then
Remember, just because you are a do-it-yourselfer does not mean you are required to do everything on your own. Sometimes, it is worth the small expense to give yourself a break or to hire someone with the expertise to do a job in half the time. A great place to splurge when it comes to expense is choosing a contractor to excavate or a mason to pour a foundation slab. And if you opt to add electrical or plumbing features to the shed, a licensed and insured professional is always the best bet when it comes to completing this work.
Oftentimes, neighborhood boys are happy to be hired to help out with building postholes. Younger kids who want to help out can do their part by clearing the shed site of rocks and small branches. The whole family can get involved with this DIY project, though admittedly, some will be more help than others.
After reading about all of the unique ways to customize a shed, a true DIYer is likely ready to build their own special building. Choosing a good set of 12x16 shed plans DIY is a great place to start!
