It wasn't so long back that conservatories were viewed as rather ostentatious and were built with the single intention of showing how wealthy your family was. These days the price of conservatories has fallen so that they are affordable by practically everyone and not unexpectedly more and more people are now including them when it's time to think about home improvement projects.

There are many reasons for having a conservatory built onto your home however the main reason seems to be that it is an simple way to expand the family living area. It provides the house with extra downstairs space and as many designs include French doors and double-glazed windows it is frequently used as a dining area where people can have visitors and family, or as a quiet lounge area where you can just relax. Although conservatories can be comparatively costly to build they are frequently much cheaper to add than moving to a bigger house, particularly when you have just got your home decorated the way you like it and you don't really want to begin all over again. It may also be that you don't require planning consent for a conservatory (depending on its dimensions and the area you live in) whereas you will certainly need it for a brick-built addition to your home. Since they can frequently be constructed quickly, the construction of a conservatory causes only nominal interference to daily life and they can often be ready to use within a couple of weeks of starting; try saying that about a brick-built extension!

Most conservatories these days are constructed with good quality uPVC windows and doors either in white or in eye-catching wood grain effect. This means that your new space will have all the benefits of the main house, that is warmness, security, noise-proofing etc., but with the additional bonus of panoramic views of your garden and the adjacent land. Additionally, many companies offer a planning service so that you can select the shape, size and style of your conservatory, decide where the exterior doors are to be located - in effect giving you a 100% unique configuration that is designed to meet your precise requirements.

A conservatory is also a super way of integrating the house and the garden. French doors or sliding patio doors leading onto a well laid block patio can make the summer months the best months of the year, particularly if you splash out on a barbeque and some garden lights as well. Conservatories can get quite hot during the summer though, particularly if you choose a glass roof and full height windows, though there is a fairly new kind of glazing called RE-FLEX glass which filters out some of the heat and makes your conservatory up to 15º cooler than using normal Pilkinton 'K' glass. Clearly opening the windows and doors will also disperse heat, though if for some reason the doors can't be left open, for instance if there are pets or young kids in the house, then RE-FLEX glass is a great substitute. The additional benefit is that this particular form of double glazing in fact retains warmth in the winter months and so it may be that there is no requirement for costly blinds and radiators.

One of the best things about a conservatory is that you frequently make a profit when you sell your home as any home improvements unquestionably add worth to your property. As long as a well thought-of company fits the structure and you maintain it in good order, a conservatory can add more value to your home than it initially cost to construct. So you get the additional bonus of a higher selling price as well as the quality time you spend in the conservatory.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

There are approximately 25,000 men newly diagnosed with prostate cancer every year in the United Kingdom. For these men the risk of dying from their prostate cancer depends on a number of risk factors. For example if the cancer is confined to the prostate gland at diagnosis the chance of surviving to 5 years is 70%. If the cancer has already spread eg to the bones then only 20% of men will survive to five years. Of all the men who currently have prostate cancer in the UK approximately 10,000 will die of the disease each year. The prostate cancer survival rate is much higher in the developed world - unsurprisingly.

When a man is first diagnosed with prostate cancer then the doctor who has found the cancer (most often a "urologist" – a surgeon who specialises in looking after problems to do with the kidneys, prostate and bladder) will arrange a series of tests to help assess the risk for that individual patient. The results of these tests will in turn help the doctor and patient to decide the best treatment for that patient.

PROSTATE CANCER TESTS TO HELP PREDICT SURVIVAL

    1. Prostate Specific Antigen or PSA

    2. Digital Rectal Examination or DRE

    3. Trans-rectal Ultrasound and Biopsy

    4. CT or MRI Scan

    5. Bone Scan

    PSA

This is a protein made by the prostate gland which can be measured on a sample of your blood ie a blood test. The PSA level can be raised by non cancerous problems with the prostate gland ie not all men who have a raised PSA have prostate cancer. Also some men who have prostate cancer will not have a raised PSA. However PSA does tend to increase as prostate cancers grow, invade and spread so PSA can be used to monitor how a prostate cancer is progressing or how it is responding to treatments.

    DRE

This is where a doctor feels the prostate gland through the back passage. It tells the doctor how big the prostate gland is, whether the cancer is able to be felt easily and whether it has invaded the area near by.

    TRAN-RECTAL ULTRASOUND AND BIOPSY

For this test you need to lie on your side with your knees brought up into the chest (same position as for a DRE). An ultrasound probe is then inserted into the back passage. This enables the doctor to see on a screen the outline of the prostate gland. There is no radiation involved. The image on the screen then allows the doctor to insert a needle safely into the prostate gland to take some samples of the prostate tissue. Usually several samples are taken from each area of the prostate gland. These samples are then sent to a laboratory to be looked at under a microscope. This allows confirmation that there is prostate cancer present and tells us how aggressive the cancer looks. Sometimes a local anaesthetic is used to help make the procedure more comfortable.

    CT OR MRI SCAN

This is usually carried out in an x-ray department and involves lying still on a thin couch which moves through either a big donut (CT) or into a long tunnel (MRI). This is not painful in any way. The pictures gained from this test helps the doctors to see whether the prostate cancer is still within the prostate gland or whether it had started to invade out of the gland into other surrounding structures. This tells the doctor what "stage" the prostate cancer is.

    BONE SCAN

This requires you to have an injection and then to lie on a special table where a camera scans the whole body. It shows up whether any of the bones in the body have been affected by the prostate cancer ie whether the prostate cancer has spread to the bones.

    PROSTATE CANCER STAGE AND SURVIVAL

The stage of prostate cancer describes how far the cancer has grown and spread. It is assessed by a mixture of DRE and CT/MRI scans.

    T1 STAGE

This is very early prostate cancer which can only be seen under a microscope. At this stage the cancer would not cause any symptoms. Men with this stage are at low risk from their disease may not need any treatment but surveillance. The original cause of a prostate cancer problem can be difficult to diagnose.

    T2 STAGE

This is early prostate cancer but is now big enough to be felt by a doctor on DRE. This may still not have caused any symptoms. This is most often cured if treatment is undertaken at this stage and about 70% of men are still alive after 5 years ie average length of survival from diagnosis is well over 5 years.

    T3 STAGE

This is locally advanced prostate cancer which has started to extend and invade outside of the prostate gland. This stage would often cause bladder symptoms in men. By this stage in the disease the chance of cure with treatments is reduced however survival is often around five years.

    T4 STAGE

This is more advanced prostate cancer which invades the structures around the gland. At this stage there are often already secondaries eg bone metastases. If the disease has spread it is usually incurable but may be controlled for some time. The average survival is between 1 and 3 years.

    PREDICTING SURVIVAL IN PROSTATE CANCER

Doctors use a combination of risk factors to predict the behaviour of prostate cancer but cancers do not always act as expected. The factors they consider include the cancer stage (see above), the age of the patient, the PSA level and how quickly it is rising, and the Gleason Score. The Gleason score is a marker of how aggressive the cancer looks under the microscope and how much of the gland is affected by cancer.

Vedic Mathematics as a career has beautiful prospects.

In this 21st century we are seeing India as an emerged super power whereas the United States and United Kingdom are fighting recession. There are job losses in these economies which mean parents have a difficult time dealing with their student's education in these countries. Math tutoring services are one of the most expensive services availed by every parent. Math teachers charge upto US $ 99 ( INR Rs.4200) per hour which adds upto a monthly spending of over US $ 1000 ( Rs.42,000) per child just on Math tutoring services. Obviously not every parent can afford that because of the recession.

Therefore Math tutoring services are now being outsourced to India. Maths teachers are in chronic short supply in Britain. Maths graduates are offered a golden handshake of 5,000 pounds when they enroll on postgraduate teacher training courses. In 2009, some 5,980 students graduated in maths in Britain. While in India, 690,000 students graduate with degrees in science and maths each year.

Therefore there is a demand and supply gap and Indian Graduates can make the best of it.

A Graduate can charge upto 7-10 pounds an hour offering Math services. The tutors use an interactive whiteboard to conduct lessons. They communicate with pupils through a headset. Students can see their tutor's face on the screen. Not only can the Indian Math graduate offer cheaper and reliable services but he can offer a better value proposition through Vedic Mathematics. This is where a country like India makes a global impact.

There are more opportunities in this field of Vedic Mathematics. Since this field is emerging a trainer in this field can get employment in the best of schools in India and abroad. One can also be an entrepreneur and start his own company offering services in the field. One can associate with schools and start regular training to the students in this field.

Math Support Services are needed in the education sector. The Indian Government has called for PPP ( Public Private Partnerships) between individuals and the academia. The Government has made it mandatory to set up Math Laboratories under the CBSE Board and have invited proposals from the society to make math interesting. Schools are looking for support services and alternative means to make Math interesting. The existing system of education has clearly failed. This is one of the reasons why Abacus has been made very popular in the country. It has been adopted by the Schools in partnerships with individuals. The same can be done with Vedic Mathematics.

Organizations offering Math Support services are much in demand in India and abroad because of fundamental supply gap of the Math Industry. This is where Vedic Mathematics makes a difference and adds value because it is the world's fastest system of Mental Mathematics, it integrates with any curriculum globally and it is very simple to understand! Hence in the long term having a career in Vedic Mathematics is awarding and profitable.

Vedic maths bases are in seven countries while 1.10 lakh children have been enrolled in 500 Abacus centres in India

If Abacus is making waves in India, it is the very Indian ancient Vedic mathematics that is silently catching up abroad. While Vedic maths is on a globetrotting mission, the other, which is based on ancient Chinese methodology, is fast gaining ground back home.

Vedic Maths Forum India, the first Indian organisation engaged in imparting knowledge and training on Vedic mathematics has already set up bases across seven countries and now has plans to spread its wings across 20 countries over the next three years. Its units are in United States, United Kingdom, South Africa, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

SIP Academy, the Malaysian organisation with its Indian headquarters in Chennai, on its part, has put in place a chain of close to 510, what they call, Abacus Brain Gym learning centres across the country, imparting training to 1.10 lakh children. In both the cases, the numbers are growing and are growing very fast. That's not without a reason.

"In South Africa, for one, the math system is in a crisis with a failure rate of over 72 per cent in the subject. This is a deep cause of concern. The problem is affecting the entire economy as the country is unable to produce skilled professionals in various fields including engineering and management," Gaurav Tekriwal, president of the Vedic Maths Forum, told FC Edge.

The organisation has recently been assigned by the South African government to teach Vedic math across 9,000 schools in that country.

The South African government's budget for this year has earmarked over 165 billion rands to focus on improving numeracy and literacy skills in the country. Maths is the top focus of the whole country. The country is looking for solutions to this catastrophic problem as the current math methods have clearly failed. It's true with many other countries as well" Tekriwal said.

Sunandita Dey, centre head of an SIP Academy Learning Centre in Kolkata, told FC Edge: "In the present highly competitive environment knowing arithmetic methodology is just not enough. Speed and accuracy are the two most crucial aspects and Abacus promises these two. At an age when students and their parents start realising why are they making mistakes and where exactly they do so while calculating, they tend to look towards Abacus. In most of the cases, this realisation comes in fourth or fifth standard."

"Abacus is ideally for students between six and 12 years, while Vedic math is for higher level. The latter is more effective and fruitful for competitive exams like IIT entrance, CAT and so on," adds Dey.

Abacus is also called a counting frame. It is a calculating tool used primarily in parts of Asia for performing arithmetic processes. Today, abacuses are often constructed as a bamboo frame with beads sliding on wires but originally they were beans or stones moved in grooves in sand or on tablets of wood, stone, or metal.

The Abacus was in use centuries before the adoption of the written modern numeral system. Vedic mathematics, in sharp contrast, is based on certain sutras (formulae) mentioned in the Vedas. There are just 16 Jaw-Dropping sutras or word formulae, which solve all known mathematical problems in the branches of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and calculus.

Now consider this. How would you find squares of numbers ending with five in less than three seconds? Take the case of 35, for instance. The word formula is simple: "By one more than the one before" to the ten's place. So what's one more than three3? It is four. So, multiply three with four to get 12. That's the first part of the answer. To get the second part of the answer, one has to multiply five with five. The second part of the answer, therefore, is 25. Now let the second part sit next to the first to get the final answer. The final answer is 1,225. One can keep on trying the same method with 45, 55, 65, 95, 105 and so on.

That's Vedic maths for you. Founded by Swami Sri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji Maharaja, who was the Sankaracharya (monk of the highest order) of Govardhan Matha in Puri, this high speed mental calculation method is called Vedic since the sutras (formulae) are said to be contained in the Atharva Veda — a branch of mathematics and engineering in the ancient Indian scriptures. The protagonists of Vedic mathematics claim that this ancient method is more than 10-15 times or over 1,500 per cent times faster than the normal mathematics. It's simple too.

"It is easy to understand, easy to apply and easy to remember. It sharpens one's mind, increases mental agility and intelligence. It develops left and right sides of the brains by increasing visualisation and concentration abilities. Besides, it cultivates an interest for numbers and eliminates the math-phobia present in the students. Using this, one can do supposedly complex calculations like 998 X 997 in less than five seconds flat. It is highly beneficial for school and college students and students who are appearing for their entrance examinations," said Tekriwal.

The overuse of calculator in the classrooms or in daily life seems to be unavoidable and the extreme dependency on machines sometimes make you wonder if it is good for us or will it take a toll on our brains? With a sense of concern I decided to investigate some more about it. Luckily I came across the book called 'Vedic Mathematics' wrote by Jagadguru Swami Sri Bharati Krsna Tirthaji Maharaja. Curiously I started reading through pages, carrying out complicated looking sums mentally using the simple formulae given. Based on my own experience (after taking official lessons on Vedic Mathematics) the thought came to my mind that why these methods are never mentioned in textbooks?

    Introduction:

The dependency of calculators has increased so much that it has became a necessity of today's students' lives. Once students have learnt the mental arithmetic operations in primary schools; in most cases they quickly switch to using calculators and are not to be blamed when they opt for mechanical choices only. While calculators can give you answers in seconds and with high accuracy for any mathematical operations to graphs, in a world of smart calculators the common question comes to mind that why does one need to learn mental calculations? The use of treadmills for fitness is available now for more than four decades but the jogging tracks are the most common runners' choice and highly recommended by fitness experts. The reason for that is not the popularity, not convenience but a simple advantage comes with it.

Similarly the comparison is not between calculators or mental calculations but on the emphasis in the use of mental calculations is made due to the advantages of it. Mental arithmetic emphasizes conceptual learning of mathematics. It eliminates the pressure of drill practice and gives understanding of numbers and the logic behind. There are many different methods for computing arithmetic operations mentally using different types of algorithms. Whether you are using the Chinese Abacus methods, the Egyptian hieroglyphic methods, the Russian methods or the Vedic methods, each one has its own uniqueness. Somebody has said that 'the world is indeed one big global village' and with that thought the school education must incorporate material from several cultures for effective teaching by bringing variety in learning.

Thus, if the emphasis in mental arithmetic calculations is on the development of individual autonomy, knowledge from multiple sources helps to widen choice and naturally creates a greater autonomy. And whether we apply the Russian, Indian or the Chinese method of the arithmetic operation methods, they may totally vary but results will be always same.

Eg 25 X 25 = 625 (even if you apply any method of computing)

For many, 'Vedic mathematics' is an unknown concept in the world of mathematics. These include many mathematics teachers as a result of it missing from educational textbooks and curriculum. The basic difference in Vedic formulae and other forms of arithmetic calculations is the logical skills which bring ease and confidence with it. Many times the question is asked why we need to learn Vedic mathematics and answer is simple. It is more like choosing between comfort or fashion, the detour or the highway and it is not very far from the daily local issue of CMI or EMI teaching, the matter of preference depends on the individual but the awareness of the logic behind the methods is important as it gives the perspective to apply the right combination of strategies.

Recent syllabus in the international curriculum of mathematics, students' needs to give one calculator and one non-calculator paper and this new requirement makes students' pressurized due to the same old reason of they being dependent on calculators and computers. Many of the students' gets baffled while doing simple arithmetic computations. The existing method of computation requires them to remember standard algorithms to follow the text-book methods or so called standard methods of calculation and they are not shown any other optional methods that are acceptable.

History: Arithmetic Calculations: The history of mathematical development and arithmetic operations are slightly contradictory to each other but according to some historical data,

    • At about 3000 BC, in China, the first abacus was invented and became the first "adding machine," allowing simple arithmetic calculations to be performed without the use of objects or fingers.

    • About 1000 years later, the Babylonians used multiplication tables to show that already the branch of mathematics, arithmetic, was being used.

    • Addition and subtraction had been used in many different ways for much longer , but multiplication was introduced as well, by combining symbolic representations of numbers called hieroglyphs, in about 1675 BC,

    • By 1600 years BC, arithmetic was being used for a number of practical purposes.

    • Around 1300- 1000 BC in India, the method was found in a number of manuscripts of the Atharva Veda. The Vedic Mathematics was rediscovered from the Vedas at around the 19th Century by Sri Bharati Krsna Tirthaji Maharaja and he reconstructed the mathematics of the Vedas, in doing so creating a wonderful monumental mathematical set of theories. This system is based on the 16 Sutras (formulae) and 13 corollaries. The historical basis of the book is in controversy because part of this Indian manuscript is lost and could not be found in the revised Vedas and some theories are also contradicting the original findings and history of mathematical developments. The book 'Vedic mathematics' was published in 1965, five years after Sri Bharati Krsna Tirthaji' Maharaja's death. These Vedic formulae are considered fantastic, fascinating and the fastest methods of calculation because the answers for any computation can be obtained quickly without any need to write many intermediate steps.

    Some questions to ponder:

    - How could the Aryan civilization, near the Hunza Valley, 5,000 years ago, mentally compute mathematical operations that today only a calculator could achieve?

    - And if the Math could not be done mentally, how could they do everything we know today, IN ONE-LINE? eg: converting the fraction 1/19 into a decimal is an 18 digit answer that requires 35 lines of exhausting long division, how could they do it in a one simple line solution?

    - Why is NASA using this MENTAL ONE-LINE SYSTEM OF ARITHMETIC in the field of Advanced Artificial Intelligence? Why is INTEL using it in chip designing?

    - How can your child become a Human Bio-Calculator?

    - Is the current Western Math Curriculum keeping our Children in a state of limited intelligence?

You are home schooling your 14 year old teen in Math. You feel you can instill better values, character and education to your children. You want to give the Best to your child. You want to provide quality which is unattainable in schools. Imagine how your child would feel when he immediately realizes that you are teaching him powerful ways to do Math Calculations without any extra burden on the both of you. Infact he would now want you to take the Math Classes more often so that he gets a hang on to these new systems.

This system of teaching Math can complement your family's strong learning system and can instill the values you want to develop in your child. It requires just knowledge of multiplication tables up to 9 to start learning it and it is easy to learn, Master and teach your child without being overwhelmed. Infact once you spend 2 minutes with your child on teaching him how to do this sum (shown here) he can at once teach 5 more of his friends to do it. It's that simple!

Here's a quick example of one of the Technique:

    65 x 65 = ?

It is quite simple since both digits start from 6, so you take 6 and multiply with the next number 7 which gives you= 42 , the first part of the answer and take 5 and multiply by the next units 5 which gives you 25,so the final answer is 4225. Try 85 x 85 now. Answer 7225. Try 95 x 95 – Answer 9025 in the similar way.

Now how long did that take? This method can also be said to be the fastest in the world in mental math.

This system has the prowess to speed up Math Calculations by up to 1500% and supposedly seemingly difficult calculations like 998 x 997 can be solved in less than five seconds flat. With this system you can home school your child into becoming a Human Bio Calculator in a matter of a week's time.

The answers to the question posed by this article in the beginning are found by understanding the ancient Indian system of High Speed Vedic (Sanskrit for Knowledge) Mathematics. It was rediscovered by Tirthaji (1884-1960) who was dux of India in Math and Sanskrit Philosopher who wrote and spoke perfect English. He reached the position of a Respected Pope in India, toured the United States in 1958 giving math lectures in Stanford, Caltech and even MIT and discovered the math knowledge which can solve every known math problem mentally and faster. He called his book and the subject 'Vedic Mathematics' after the Indian Scriptures called Vedas which mean knowledge. It is absolutely mathematical, scientific and global in nature and has nothing to do with any religion. Which means any person of any religion, country, ethnicity, color or race can use it and apply it and enjoy its tremendous benefits all across the world. No wonder it is being used by students from around the Globe of every race and origin to making their math calculations easier and is increasingly getting popular. Even NASA, INTEL and Microsoft are using it for the high end applications of Vedic Math.

A Look at this High Speed Vedic Mental Math tutorials and slide shows confirms the fact that it is indeed a miracle waiting to happen to your child.

Any teenager can learn Vedic Mathematics and enhance his numerical abilities. It helps the students not only in traditional academics, but it also enhances the IQ by enhancing the analytical skills and thought processes. This happens because the system is very coherent and intuitive and uses both sides of the brain thereby giving the student the winning edge. It is very satisfying to see young children's eyes brighten when they see and learn the High Speed Vedic system and techniques.

Thomas, a 16 year old was able to apply these techniques with ease and without confusion when he learnt the Vertically and Crosswise Formula of multiplying two and three digit numbers Mentally and in One Line. He was able to solve correctly over 75 problems in less than 10 minutes which normally takes from 45-90 minutes to solve. This is simply incredible.

So how do you get started and homeschool your child into this system in a week's time?

First your child should be over 14 years of age and should know multiplication tables upto 9. That is the only criteria to learn this system.

Try going through the High Speed Vedic Mental Math tutorials and see if your child enjoys the new methods. Show them the slide shows. You would have live results for your self whether or not to choose this as an alternative means to learn Math.

Squares of Numbers ending in 5

Multiplying numbers by 11-19 in less than five seconds

    Instant Subtractions

    Speed Division by 9.

See if he shows an interest. It shouldn't overwhelm or burden him in any way. It should be as natural as possible.

Ask Questions to us. Go through the FAQ on our website below. Clarify your doubts you would have before deciding to introduce your child to it.

If you feel satisfied and your child is showing interest order a book or a DVD Set of over 10 hours on this phenomenal system which would suit your child best. I am sure if you could do these methods and are wondering why you didn't learn them as a child-remember you could relive your childhood by introducing them to your child now. You could be igniting such a spark in your child now that he could be using this system for all his life and even introducing them to the next generation.

Give your child the best of education unattainable in schools.

High Speed Vedic Mathematics is a super fast way of calculation whereby you can do supposedly complex calculations like 998 x 997 in less than five seconds flat. This makes it the World's Fastest Mental Math Method. It is highly beneficial for school and college students and students who are appearing for their entrance examinations.

High Speed Vedic Mathematics is far more systematic, simplified and unified than the conventional system. It is a mental tool for calculation that encourages the development and use of intuition and innovation, while giving the student a lot of flexibility, fun and satisfaction . For your child, it means giving them a competitive edge, a way to optimize their performance and gives them an edge in mathematics and logic that will help them to shine in the classroom and beyond.

Therefore it's direct and easy to implement in schools – a reason behind its enormous popularity among academicians and students. It complements the Mathematics curriculum conventionally taught in schools by acting as a powerful checking tool and goes to save precious time in examinations.

There are just 16 Jaw-Dropping Sutras or Word Formulae which solve all known mathematical problems in the branches of Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry and Calculus. They are easy to understand, easy to apply and easy to remember.

High Speed Vedic Mathematics was founded by Swami Sri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji Maharaja who was the Sankaracharya (Monk of the Highest Order) of Govardhan Matha in Puri. They are called "Vedic" as because the sutras are said to be contained in the Atharva Veda – a branch of mathematics and engineering in the Ancient Indian Scriptures.

The Benefits of High Speed Vedic Mathematics.

High Speed Vedic Mathematics is more than 10-15 times or over 1500% times faster than the normal mathematics. How do we say this? You can test it yourself. We tested a normal student to calculate 998 x 997; he took the time of 85 seconds and did it correctly in the normal way. And then when we taught him the Vedic Method of Multiplication the same person could do it in about 5 seconds. Not only did this person suddenly become more confident , bubbling with energy and high self esteem . He wanted to solve more problems which showed a remarkable increase in his interest in the subject.

Vedic Mathematics is the name given to an ancient system of Mathematics which was rediscovered from the ancient Indian Scriptures called Vedas meaning 'knowledge' between 1911 and 1918 by Sri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji (1884 - 1960) who was the Sankaracharya of Govardhan Matha Puri.

In the beginning of the twentieth century, when there was great interest in the Sanskrit texts in Europe, some scholars ridiculed certain texts which were headed Ganita Sutra which means mathematic formulas. They could not decipher any mathematics in the translations and therefore dismissed the texts as rubbish. Bharati Krishna, who himself was a scholar of Sanskrit, Mathematics, History and Philosophy, studied these texts and after lengthy and careful investigation was able to reconstruct the mathematics of the Vedas in 1918.

Bharati Krishna wrote sixteen volumes expounding the Vedic system but these were unaccountably lost and when the loss was confirmed in his final years he wrote a single book - Vedic Mathematics. It was published in 1965, five years after his death.

According to his research all of mathematics is based on sixteen Sutras, or word - formulae. For example, 'Vertically and Crosswise' is one of these Sutras. These formulae describe the way the mind works naturally and are therefore a great help in directing the student to the appropriate method of solution. They are intuitive and fun to work with.

In the Vedic system difficult problems or huge sums can often be solved immediately by the Vedic method. These striking and beautiful methods are just a part of a complete system of mathematics which is far more systematic than the modern system. Vedic mathematics manifests the coherent and unified structure of mathematics and the methods are complimentary, direct and easy.

The simplicity of Vedic Mathematics means that calculations can be carried out mentally (though the methods can be written down). There are many advantages in using a flexible, mental system. Pupils can invent their own methods; they are not limited to the one correct method. This leads to more creative, interested and interesting pupils.

But the real beauty and effectiveness of Vedic Mathematics cannot be fully appreciated without actually practising the system. One can then see that it is perhaps the most refined and efficient mathematical system possible.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Today you can define mental math in various different ways. Some would say, memorizing times table and remembering the solutions can form the part of mental mathematics. Some would say ability to perform simple calculations in your head can be mental mathematics. The web dictionary defines mental mathematics as "Computing an exact answer without using pencil and paper or other physical aids."

Today there are five methods available to learn and practice mental mathematics.

Let's begin with the first one called 'Learning by Heart' or better known as the rote memorizing method where your teachers ask you to mug up boring multiplication tables. It not only kills the interest of the child in mathematics but also makes sure that he develops hatred towards the subject for the rest of the years he studies it. This system gives its ardent devotee some degree of success initially as he is able to answer easy problems but then when the supposedly bigger application problems come the steam is almost over.

The second one gives you a good degree of success and I would highly recommend it to the younger lot out there. It hails from China and is popular by the name of The Abacus (also known as the Soroban in Japan).

An abacus is a calculating tool, often constructed as a wooden frame with beads sliding on wires. With the use of this tool one can perform calculations relating to addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with ease. Gradually one practices with the tool in one's hand and later on when experienced he learns to do it without the tool. This tool is then fitted into the mind mentally and he can then add, subtract multiply and divide in seconds. This tool also enhances a child's concentration levels.

The main drawback of this system is that it focuses only on the 4 mathematical operations. Concepts beyond these operations such as Algebra, Square Roots, Cubes, Squares, Calculus, and Geometry etc cannot be solved using it at all. Also one needs a longer time to be able to fully get a grasp of the system hence you see courses in the abacus stretching to over 2 years which leads the child to boredom and then quitting from the course.

Another Chinese system mainly collected from the book The Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art lays out an approach to mathematics that centers on finding the most general methods of solving problems. Entries in the book usually take the form of a statement of a problem, followed by the statement of the solution, and an explanation of the procedure that led to the solution.

The methods explained in this system can hardly be termed mental and they lack speed to top it all. The Chinese were definitely the most advanced of the civilization thanks to the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers but if I were to choose out of the two methods given by this culture It would be the abacus.

If wars have a 99.99% downside, sometimes they can have an upside too for they give birth to stories of hope and creativity. The next mental math system was developed during the Second World War in the Nazi Concentration Camp by a Ukrainian Mathematician Jakow Trachtenberg to keep his mind occupied. What resulted is now known as the Trachtenberg Speed System of Mathematics and consists of Rapid Mental Methods of doing Mathematics.

The system consists of a number of readily memorized patterns that allow one to perform arithmetic computations very quickly. It has wider applications than the Abacus and apart from the four basic operation methods it covers Squares and Square Roots.

The method focuses mostly on Multiplication and it even gives patterns for multiplication by particular number say 5,6,7 and even 11 and 12. It then gives a general method for rapid multiplication and a special two finger method. After practicing the method myself I realized that the multiplication was a very applicable mental method but the other methods covered to solve division and square roots were not very friendly and were impossible to be done mentally. I was in search of a much better wholesome method where I could easily perform other operations also. Another drawback of this system was that it too like the abacus failed to have a wider scope ie to encompass other fields like Algebra, Calculus, Trignometry, Cube Roots etc

A Recommendation by a friend of mine from America introduced me to what is known as the Kumon Math Method. It was founded by a Japanese educator Toru Kumon in 1950s and as of 2007 over 4 million children were studying under the Kumon Method in over 43 different countries.

Students do not work together as a class but progress through the curriculum at their own pace, moving on to the next level when they have achieved mastery of the previous level. This sometimes involves repeating the same set of worksheets until the student achieves a satisfactory score within a specified time limit. In North American Kumon Centers, the mathematics program starts with very basic skills, such as pattern recognition and counting, and progresses to increasingly challenging subjects, such as calculus, probability and statistics. The Kumon Method does not cover geometry as a separate topic but provides sufficient geometry practice to meet the prerequisites for trigonometry, which is covered within the Kumon math program.

I was much impressed with the glamour around Kumon but a glimpse of its curriculum deeply disappointed me. It is not mental at all. It does not offer any special methods to do mathematics and one does not improve one's speed by doing Kumon Math. There is a set curriculum of worksheets which one does till one achieves mastery in the subject. So say for example a sheet on Divison- one would continue to do division by the conventional method till he gets a satisfactory score and then he moves on to a higher level. This certainly doesn't make division any faster and the process is certainly not mental.

A deep thought on the reason of its tremendous popularity in America led me to conclude was the lack of a franchisee business model of the abacus and the Trachtenberg speed system in the 1950s. The franchisee model was essential in taking the course from country to country. This is where Toru Kumon thrived.

Dissapointed with other cultures in the world, my search made me look in my own Indian culture. What I found astonished and amazed me so much that I fell in love with the system and started coaching neighbourhood students in it.

This is easily the World's Fastest Mental Mathematics System called High Speed Vedic Mathematics. It has its roots in Ancient Indian Scriptures called the Vedas meaning 'the fountain head of knowledge'. With it not only you can add, subtract, multiply or divide which is the limiting factor of the abacus but you can also solve complex mathematics such as algebra, geometry, Calculus, and Trigonometry. Some of the most advanced, complex and arduous problems can be solved using the Vedic Maths method with extreme ease.

And all this with just 16 word formulas written in Sanskrit.

High Speed Vedic Mathematics was founded by Swami Sri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji Maharaja who was the Sankaracharya (Monk of the Highest Order) of Govardhan Matha in Puri between 1911 and 1918. They are called "Vedic" as because the sutras are contained in the Atharva Veda – a branch of mathematics and engineering in the Ancient Indian Scriptures.

The Trachtenberg Method is often compared to Vedic Mathematics. Infact even some of the multiplication methods are strikingly similar. The Trachtenberg system comes the closest to the Vedic System in comparison and ease of the methods. But the ease and mental solvability of the other method especially division, square roots, cube roots, Algebraic Equations, Trigonometry, Calculus etc clearly gives the Vedic System an edge. Even NASA is said to be using some of this methods applications in the field of artificial intelligence.

There are just 16 Vedic Math sutras or word formulas which one needs to practice in order to be efficient in Vedic Math system. Sutras or Word Math Formulas such as the Vertically and Crosswise, All from Nine and Last from ten helps to solve complex problems with ease and also a single formula can be applied in two or more fields at the same time. The Vertically and Crosswise formula is one such gem by which one can multiply, find squares, solve simultaneous equations and find the determinant of a matrix all at the same time.

If either of these methods is learned at an early age, a student aged 14 can perform lightening fast calculations easily during his examinations and ace through them.

Vedic Mathematics is fast gaining popularity in this millennium. It is being considered as the only mental math system suited for a child as it helps to develop his numerical as well as mental abilities. The methods are new and practical and teach only Mental Rapid Mathematics.

The system does not focus on learning by repetition as in the Kumon Method. The system focuses on improving intelligence by teaching fundamentals and alternate methods. The purpose is not limited to improving performance in the school or tests, but on providing a broader outlook resulting in improved mathematical intelligence and mental sharpness.

The summer can be a great time to be outside. It is a great time for some incredible learning for your child as it is the best time he can have during the vacations.

Numerous summer workshops and activities take place during this time and you can enroll your child for one such hobby classes. From Painting to Dancing to Bead Crafting to Elocution or even horse riding- One can choose according to his interest levels.

This is also a good time to work on your child's weak spots and develop his strengths for a better academic performance.

You can be in a surprise for what your child can be if you happen to enroll him in the World's Fastest Mental Math System, better known as High Speed Vedic Math Workshop which virtually makes your child into a human-bio calculator.

High Speed Vedic Math speeds up the dull and boring mathematics upto 1500 percent and you can do incredible calculations like never before. It is intuitive and uses the right brain for its calculation and is easy to master and apply. One simply needs to have the knowledge of multiplication tables to perform these amazing feats of wonder.

High Speed Vedic Math has its roots in Ancient India and was founded by ancient seers. It was rediscovered by the Sankaracharya (head pontiff of India) Bharti Krishna Tirthaji Maharaja in 1918 after years of vigorous study of the coded strings of knowledge.

Vedic Math is increasingly getting popular across the world. The prime reason being so is because of its speed and scope. Vedic Mental Math encompasses Arithmetic, Algebra, Trigonometry and even Geometry unlike other Mental Math Systems like Abacus which only focusses on the 4 basic operations of Arithmetic.

Let me give you a quick example:

    62 x 68 = ?

It is quite simple since both digits start from 6, so you take 6 and multiply with the next number 7 which gives you= 42 and take 2 and multiply by 8 which gives you 16,so the final answer is 4216.

No wonder this is the World's Fastest Mental Math System!

Jane, who just attended a workshop at the Vedic Math Forum India wonders "Why isn't this taught in our school because this makes me feel like I can get 100% in my Math Exam."

Meet a bright teenager Sandra. She is excellent in all her subjects academically and is quite happy about her performance till she talks about the subject of Mathematics. Math Sandra says give her nightmares. She can't stop talking about this dull and boring subject and how she cried when her teacher put her outside class for getting her calculations wrong. She dreads when she talks about Algebra, where she got a whole lot of red lines across her homework book, for it involves painful memory to remember the formulas. She couldn't even complete the whole math paper for a lack of time.

Her parents are helpless as they went through the same system of education with the same agonies as hers. Sandra now started complaining of a lack of concentration in the math classes and felt her abilities draining day by day.

Understanding her situation her parents got her enrolled into some extra tuition classes, where the situation got a little better but her phobia of math was still there.

Is your child facing the same level of difficulties in Mathematics? Is your child math phobic? Does your child think of math to be colorless and drab? Do you wish that there was some sort of a magic and your child suddenly became a genius in the subject?

Well your wait ends here. And the secret lies in the Ancient Indian Scriptures written by Indian sages almost 5000 years ago called Vedas which means 'fountain of knowledge'.

In these Vedas lies the codes of engineering & mathematics called sutras which claims to solve any given problem of mathematics in any field whatsoever and that too in split seconds. Sounds Unbelievable? Read on…

The name given to this speed system of mathematics is called High Speed Vedic Mathematics which can solve difficult problems like 998 x 997 in less than 5 seconds flat!. It was rediscovered by the Sankaracharya (Pontiff) of Puri in 1918 who was a bright mathematician and a scholar beyond excellence.

High Speed Vedic Mathematics can help you to solve your calculations in split seconds. It can save steps in your algebraic equations by giving you the answer mentally. It can solve cube roots for you in 3 sheer seconds and the best part is it is easy to learn, master and apply. You can find the square roots as easily and mentally as it is adding 2+2 and believe it or not you can even find out which day it was on any given date three hundred years ago by remembering a simple table.

High Speed Vedic Math is far more systematic, coherent and unified than the conventional system. It is a mental tool for calculation that encourages the development and use of intuition and innovation, while giving the student a lot of flexibility, fun and satisfaction. The best part of it is that it blends seamlessly with any kind of math curriculum and suits children of all ages.

Vedic Math is a fast becoming a rage across countries. The St.James School of United Kingdom has implemented it strongly in its curriculum. "With Vedic Math, I feel like the Harry Potter of Math and can do sums with confidence and ease." Says Ruth a 14 year old.

Vedic Math takes care of the math phobia and instead gives confidence which arouses interest in children in the subject. Children not only begin to live numbers they begin to feel it too. Results then become secondary.

Like most aspiring models just starting out you might be thinking you need to attend an expensive modeling school or convention to gain the best modeling tips in the industry. It is important to know that most modeling schools can give you only second hand knowledge at best, and they will have no problem charging you thousands in the process. There are more credible, not to mention less expensive, resources out there willing to share their first-hand knowledge and experience in the industry to help you succeed. Why waste your money on a modeling school for second rate modeling tips?

Another area that young models often waste money on is in paying a no-name agency to represent them. At best falling into the trap of having to pay an agency will set you back and cost you thousands of dollars of your own money. Agencies that charge fees are scammers and prey on naive young models that don't know any better. Stay away from these agencies.

Choosing a modeling agency is the most important decision a new model will make when embarking on a career in the modeling industry. The agency that a model decides to sign with will basically become a second family. Therefore, it is vital for the aspiring model to meet everyone on the "team" and be certain that everyone has the same career goals in mind from the beginning.

One of the toughest challenges a new model will face is weeding their way through the thousands of agencies out there in order to find the ones they "click" with. Many of the lesser known, aka rip-off agencies, offer potential models free portfolios or comp cards for signing with their agency. Keep in mind that, one should never pay to sign with a company, and rarely is anything ever free of charge, especially at the beginning of a career. Read the fine print of every contract. Usually a "catch" can be found when it comes to these types of offers.

Since the question of finding a quality company to work with is so important, how does the new model decide which ones are good and which ones should be avoided. Finding a quality modeling agency is the single most important step to becoming a successful model. Any model, no matter how beautiful, without a team of agents that are excited to be working with them, is doomed to mediocrity from day one. The fact is that top clients like Calvin Klein, D-Squared, Armani, Guess, DKNY, skincare companies, and the like, will only deal with certain agencies. Unless you are represented by these agencies, don't plan on ever seeing yourself on billboards or getting mainstream magazine exposure.

The goal of every new model wanting to really succeed should be first to sign with an agency in one of the fashion capitols: Milan, London, New York, or Paris. Being represented by these agencies early on makes it infinitely easier to establish a global network of credible companies to work with throughout your career. Signing early on with a modeling agency that has a solid background and name recognition within the industry is a must as a foundation for any career.

For models living in or near one of these major modeling centers, open calls are the best way to get noticed and ultimately signed. For those who are not living in close proximity to any of these cities, there are ways to get your picture in front of the agents without traveling, and without spending a fortune on professional photography. Did you know that you can submit your pictures to agencies worldwide using a digital camera and never even leave your home? You just need the right contact information.

Submitting photos to a big modeling agency in top fashion locations can be intimidating for new models if they don't know exactly what they are doing. Models often wonder what they should include in their portfolio and in what order to present pictures so as to make their book stand out from the crowd. Learn how to present your pictures and personality in a way that will have even the biggest clients looking twice. Ever wondered how you can get noticed before you even have a portfolio? These are just a few of the questions that all new models should know the answers to before: A) Spending a single dime on professional photography, and B) Before moving forward and approaching agencies. The fact is that if you know how to approach large agencies correctly you have a much better chance of getting a contract offer.

The answers to these questions and many more regarding the modeling industry can be found in the best-selling new e-book, The Model's Bible. Written by international supermodel Caleb Lane. In his book, Caleb shares his real-world experience that stems from working in the fashion capitols of the world over the past 10 years. Caleb has worked with top clients like Calvin Klein, D&G, Kenneth Cole, Armani, Guess, Vogue, GQ, and many more. Learning how to become a model is a challenging, yet very rewarding path. If you are thinking about pursuing a career in the exciting world of modeling, then keep reading! There are a few things that you must know before you make any major decisions.

The first thing that you need to know in order to save valuable time and a lot of money is that it is absolutely unnecessary to go to any school to learn how to become a model. This is a surprising fact considering the multi-million dollar modeling school industry and the staggering number of aspiring models that sign up for said schools every year. The same goes for conventions, seminars, and scouting events. Yes, one can sometimes be "discovered" this way but it is an entirely unnecessary approach and you are likely to spend thousands of dollars in the process. With The Model's Bible, you will learn how to get your face in front of every top agency in the world for about five bucks and not even have to leave home by using only a digital camera and e-mail account.

If any agency requires that you pay them in order to represent you, run the other way! Models should never pay for representation, period. Agencies that offer this type of agreement will not get you anywhere. In fact, these are the agencies that will set you back and ultimately cost you valuable time and money.

New models tend to think that spending thousands to learn how to become a model and to break into the industry is the accepted norm and that it will take years to get a full grasp on how the industry really works. However, this misconception could not be further from the truth! With credible knowledge and the right agency, you can be on your way to booking big jobs in a matter of weeks. All without going broke in the process.

How can you learn all of these valuable lessons without schools or expensive coaching? The Model's Bible! That's how. The Model's Bible was written by Caleb Lane, a highly sought after supermodel that has over 10 years experience working in the industry. Caleb has worked with some of the biggest and most exclusive designers in the world including Calvin Klein, D&G, Kenneth Cole, John Varvatos, DKNY, Armani, D-Squared, Guess, and many more. Caleb shares his real world experience in the industry on how to become a model, which agencies work the hardest for their models, what to expect on million dollar photo shoots, and how to break into the industry without spending a fortune on expensive schools and professional photography.

Why not get the knowledge that will put you light years ahead of other aspiring models? Visit http://www.modeling-success.com to gain instant access to the best-selling e-book, The Model's Bible.

Have you been considering a career in modeling? Have you been trying to land the high paying jobs but are not quite sure how to go about it? In order to book a high paying modeling job you have to learn how to stand out from the thousands of other aspiring models out there.

The best selling e-book, The Model's Bible teaches you step by step how to build a quality portfolio that will stand out from the rest of the crowd, a crucial step to becoming a successful model. Written by Caleb Lane, a highly sought after supermodel with over 10 years experience in the industry working with clients like Calvin Klein, D&G, Kenneth Cole, Guess, DKNY, Armani, D-Squared, and many more. Caleb has the real world experience and industry know-how to teach you exactly how to stand out from the crowd. Potential clients may look through hundreds of portfolios every time they hold a casting for a modeling job. Having a well thought out, professional portfolio is the absolute most important step in coming out on top in this process.

Upon breaking into the industry it is crucial that young models know the difference between a reputable agency and a scam artist. For example, did you know you should never pay an agency to sign you? There are thousands of unscrupulous agencies and modeling schools out there that make their money by taking advantage of starry eyed young models. What usually happens once they have their money is they never get around to even calling their models, let alone book them any jobs. Avoiding scams can be either the easiest or hardest part of beginning a career as a model.

Many new models are also surprised to find out that the best way to get signed with an agency is by using some digital pictures of yourself and an e-mail account. A method that is little known but, highly recommended and preferred among top modeling agencies throughout the world. The fact is, you do not need to waste thousands on professional photography as a new model. The secret to success is pinpointing exactly who to contact within the agencies and how to do it correctly.

Learn why all modeling contracts are absolutely negotiable. It is imperative when signing any modeling contract, whether it be for an agency or modeling job, that you read through it very carefully and know what is negotiable and non-negotiable. Otherwise, you could end up being contractually obligated for a long time to an agency that just does not work for you.

Once the contracts have been signed and you are actually on the photo shoot there are many things you need to know in order to ensure you deliver the best possible product to the clients. It is the way that a model carries themselves on a modeling job that lets everyone know that they are working with either a pro or just some kid that got lucky once. Remember, success in modeling is all about being "rebooked" for jobs. Not knowing the proper on-set etiquette could mean the difference between a long career or a short stint in the modeling industry. The best way to learn how to walk and talk like a professional model is to be taught by someone who has been there and done that in a big way.

The path to finding quality modeling opportunities does not have to be long and mysterious anymore. With The Model's Bible you will learn everything you need to know in order to succeed as a model for a fraction of what you would spend on a modeling school, conventions, or bogus websites. Visit http://www.modeling-success.com today and see how you can instantly download your very own copy of this exciting best-selling e-book straight to your computer.

As the Internet age becomes more and more a fact of everyday life in the 21st century, there are more and more instances of families and individuals conducting business. From vacation rentals by owner to individuals selling their unwanted goods on the Internet, "small business" is taking on a whole new meaning. The yard sale is not the only option for getting rid of your things. Instead of selling your used books for $0.25 on a Saturday morning on your lawn, it is possible to sell your used books on eBay or on Amazon for whatever the competitive price based on the demand for the book. Books and clothing are not the only things being listed online these days.

Virtually anything can be listed online. It just depends on finding the right site where you can place your listing. Finding the right market is a matter of finding websites that not only are user friendly but that also get a lot of traffic.

The picture is not so different when it comes to vacation rentals by owner. It used to be that a cabin or private home for rent during certain parts of the year was known only by word-of-mouth and by handwritten flyers posted around town. Of course, over a period of time, with repeat customers and with those customers telling other customers about your fabulous place for rent, this system works well. However, can it ever compare with the power of the Internet?

The Internet has the power to bring this type of listing into the homes of everyone not only across the US, but also across the world. When you list your property for rent online, it is possible that you will receive emails from Germany or Japan asking to reserve your property for a given couple of weeks in the summer. Making this a reality is a simple matter of finding the right website (one that gets a lot of traffic), where vacation rentals by owner are listed.

Although it is possible to simply make your own website with the information about your property, it is much easier (and much cheaper in most cases) to find an existing website to host your listing. Not only is this method cheaper, it exponentially increases the number of Web surfers who will see the information about your specific property. Even if you already have your own website, you might consider listing your property on a travel website so that you get the extra traffic to your site via the link on the travel website to your site.

UFindVacations specializes in providing vacation rentals by owner, where users can search for an accommodation for free. Property owners can post their listing for an affordable rate. Visit http://www.ufindvacations.com for more information.

If you are a musician and you believe that you could benefit from learning new guitar tips, you are not alone. So many musicians are always looking for that one piece of advice or secret that will catapult them to the top of their musical game. There are many resources out there that will give you little tidbits that can help you be a better player overall, but if you have purchased or received free information in the past, you might have been let down. The problem with many of these resources is that they will provide you with information that is common knowledge or just does not apply to you, your skill level, or the type of music that you want to play the most. This can be frustrating, and you might start to feel as though there simply is not enough advice out there to help you be as good as you have always dreamed of being.

If you are looking for guitar tips, be sure to go with what fits your taste in music and general learning style. If you decide to go to a music teacher, make sure the instructor is open to teaching the particular genre you like, or, even better, specializes in it. Personality is also important in terms of compatibility. Hopefully, your instructor's style of teaching complements with how you learn. Having one-on-one instruction is advantageous, but it can be expensive and time consuming. It can also be a waste of your time if your teacher turns out to lack the knowledge, skills, and experience you expected. Make sure to check your teacher's credentials and even see him or her perform a song and decide for yourself if you feel confident to be under his or her instruction.

You will find that you can get guitar tips or courses online, but, generally, you probably cannot easily afford these courses that can cost $60, $70, $80, or even $100, and sometimes you are not really even sure what you are buying. Many of these also require you to complete the course in a specific amount of time. This can be troubling for some who do not learn as quickly as others, or for those who want to perfect one lesson before moving onto another. This can be frustrating to some and does not make it convenient or helpful.

For a comprehensive resource and a variety of guitar tips, Pro Guitar Tips offers a one-time downloadable program that covers basic lessons such as reading tablature and playing chords. For those with more experience, the program provides ways to improve the skill with advanced chord-playing, arpeggios, and lead tricks. The program was created by Pete Williamson, a professional musician with more than 20 years of experience. He performs with multi-platinum artist Pete Murray and rock band Mammal. Visit http://www.pro-guitar-tips.com to purchase or for more information.

Guitar lessons are a great way to learn all of the techniques that you need to become an accomplished musician. Whether you like to perform for your friends, play for yourself, or aspire to be a well-known musician who travels the world to play in front of audiences, you can get the knowledge that you need from a good class. Of course, the real challenge is in finding a class that will actually provide you with the information that you need for your skill level and musical interests. There is quality information out there, but you need to be really careful while trying to find it. Many programs mean well, but they can actually cause frustration and technical setbacks. Simply put, you need lessons that are high quality and from a respectable source.

It can be frustrating to find guitar lessons that will accommodate everyone from beginner to advanced, and this often leads to more frustration. Many people turn to their local music teacher to provide them with the knowledge that they need, as they progress from beginner to advanced. But having one-on-one instruction can be costly, especially if you are still struggling with a particular new skill that takes up more than one session. Personality compatibility is also important, in that the instructor's teaching style complements with your learning style. Group classes are an option because they are much cheaper, but you then sacrifice personalized attention and learning at your own pace.

Others attempt to teach themselves with guitar lessons in a self-guidance book. This can be great for some people, but, more often than not, it can be difficult to follow the book. Many individuals give up before they ever really get started. For many, this is just another frustrating step along the way to try to get the information that you need to be a well-balanced and knowledgeable musician.

Pro Guitar Tips is founded by Pete Williamson, an accomplished guitarist. A veteran in the music industry, he put all of his experience into a comprehensive set of guitar lessons that provide guidance for levels ranging from beginner to advanced. The program teaches chords and tab reading, and also improves playing style with tips on remembering scales and chords, incorporating arpeggios into solos, and tricks in playing lead guitar. The program is 100% multimedia based, with mp3 audio for every lesson, and detailed images and tab offer clear explanation of how and what to play, and how you should sound. Bonus material shows how to pursue a music career and get a great tone. Visit http://www.pro-guitar-tips.com to purchase the program or for more information.

There are many people out there who want to learn to play guitar. Are you one of them? It is a very popular instrument, and many people, ranging from the business person to the wannabe rocker, would like to acquire the skill to be able to strum their favorite song. This dream does not just have to stay a dream. It can become a reality if you really want it to be. You simply need to find good instruction.

Where do you find this instruction? Everyone learns differently, so there are several different options for you to choose from. You just have to choose the one that works best for you.

If you prefer to study on your own and you like to read, you might be able to learn to play guitar from one of the self-guidance books that are on the market. There are many of them to choose from, and you can generally find a book or two that will meet your experience level and that provides you with part of the information that you need. Of course, if you do not study effectively with books, this probably is not the best option for you. And how are you supposed to know what you're supposed to sound like from a book? It is also important to make sure that you are reading all of the information exactly right, so you do not form bad habits without realizing it. Forming bad habits can make it really difficult to perfect your skill later down the road.

Another way that you can learn to play guitar is by working with a local music teacher. Local music teachers can provide you with experience, such as shortcuts or tricks to make strumming chords and the like a lot easier. However, getting one-on-one, personalized attention can be expensive. It may be even be more costly if you are struggling with something new and difficult, and you end up spending more than one session to eventually master the skill. You may also want to consider attending group lessons, where you can gain much from the students as well as the teacher. One downside, though, is that you have to learn at everyone's pace, and you do not get as much as attention with the larger class.

Pro Guitar Tips offers a program to learn to play guitar that is downloadable. Created by professional rock musician Pete Williamson, the program is a multimedia experience that provides pictures, chord diagrams, audio, and various tips for mastering the instrument. The program is meant for beginners up to expert level. The program also includes bonus tips in how to break into the music industry. Visit http://www.pro-guitar-tips.com to purchase the course or get more information. Pete Williamson has more than 20 years of experience as a guitarist. He currently performs with the multi-platinum band Pete Murray & the Stonemasons, and rock band Mammal.

When looking at the history of the man leather jacket, one of the most famous images comes from an earlier era. Handsome and heroic men would emerge from fighter airplanes during war years wearing their bomber jackets. The entire look seems to mix together perfectly — the brave young man, his big plane, and the sexiest article of clothing possible. In addition to their sex appeal, leather jackets are practical items of protection because they are hardwearing and durable. They also keep out moisture and cold at high altitudes. Little did the military powers know that not only would this item contribute to saving lives, it would evolve into one of the worlds largest and longest lasting fashion statements.

As time wore on, leather clothing items expanded into other areas. The motorcycle or biker culture went mad over leather. This adoption both hurt and helped leather's image. On the one hand, some people resisted being associated with such a fringe culture. Yet, there is always the benefit of having a wardrobe item with a bit of bad boy sex appeal.

Today the man leather jacket is worn by everyone. A person does not have to be a war hero or an outlaw biker to fully appreciate what these items can do for an image. Anyone who puts a leather item on can instantly transform themselves from plain and ordinary to cool and sexy. They look great on everyone and exist in a wide variety of colors, shapes, and sizes. It does not matter if you are tall or short, larger or thin, you too can look great in leather.

If you are looking for the perfect gift for someone close to you, or the perfect item to spoil yourself, then a man leather jacket can certainly fit the bill. They look absolutely great and also provide a wide range of practical uses. They are very hard wearing and durable, so if you purchase one, make sure you like it because it will be with you for years to come. They are also a great thing to have in cold weather because they are excellent for keeping out wind and wetness. Finally, leather goods are very comfortable and will come to fit the curves of your body like a second skin.

Anyone looking to purchase one of these, or any other leather goods item, should visit Diamond Leathers. They carry a wide selection in man leather jacket lines, as well as other high quality leather accessories. You will be amazed at what is available at the touch of a button. When was the last time you bought the perfect gift for that special someone, or spoiled yourself with a much deserved treat? Diamond Leathers can satisfy your every need and make the sometimes painful chore of shopping an absolute pleasure.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Ten years ago, hardly anyone had heard of online dating. People were just starting to use email for personal and work purposes, but if you had asked those people then if the Internet would become what it is today, they probably would have told you that it wasn't the Internet, but email that was important. However, just look at where eBay, PayPal and Google have brought us. The answer is clearly that the Internet has burgeoned in ten years into a place where you can do anything, from shopping to finding your soul mate.

Many matchmaker sites offer a place to post online dating personals, which has enabled the massive growth of using an announcement to find a boyfriend or a girlfriend. The reason why these profiles on the Internet are so popular is that pictures can be included, and the profile offers potential dates much more information than the old-school newspaper version that looked something like "SWF, 23 for SWM, 20-45—must love long walks on the beach." These types of announcements simply did not offer enough information to entice potential dates.

Profiles listed on the Internet offer much more information than the old newspaper style. While some of the information might be useless to some people, such as the person's astrological sign, most of the information is very important. Not only do online dating personals include favorite hobbies, they encourage you to write about them in your own words. Reading a person's description of themselves and of their hobbies gives you a better idea about the person behind the profile.

Another reason why Internet sites are so popular is because they offer a buffer zone that allows for a feeling of protection and anonymity. Although your photo is posted on your profile, it seems easier to send a message as an IM than it is to physically pick up the phone and respond to someone's ad in the newspaper. The buffer zone that online dating personals provide is undoubtedly one of the best features this option provides.

There are many, many websites that offer the opportunity to put one's profile on their website in the hopes of finding someone special. The problem then becomes, "Which site should I post my profile on?" This is a tough question because there are many Internet sites that offer this service. The things to consider when choosing a service are: what services do they offer, and what is their price?

One good bet is the website http://www.meetamour.com because they offer all the standard services at a very low price. While some sites offer the posting of online dating personals and the opportunity to respond to them at a premium price, Meet Amour offers inexpensive services and a fun vibe. If you are looking for your soul mate via the Internet, check out Meet Amour today.

About The Author: http://www.MeetAmour.com is a new online dating service based in New York City. Its goal is to provide online dating services and online dating personals. For more information on online dating please visit our site.

Are you looking for wellness programs or wanting to start your own to help other people? There are many different options out there to choose from, and, when you are looking for something to attend or apply to your life, you need to really consider all of your options carefully. If you are looking for specific results or benefits, you will need to be even more selective so that you are sure not to waste your time, energy, and money on something that will not work for you. With all of the options out there, you might become overwhelmed in trying to choose something that will work for you. Luckily, there are some helpful factors that you can think about to make the choice easier for you.

First, you should think about what you are hoping to get out of wellness programs that you take part in. Are you looking to heal certain aspects of your physical and mental health? Do you want to learn about products, methods, or techniques because you intend to use them to help other people? You need to be really honest about what you are looking for and what your expectations will be. That way, you can find something that will really work for you. When you are honest with yourself, you will have an easier time identifying the products, methods, or techniques that will work best for you. Many people believe that they want or need one thing, when they actually need something altogether different. Really spend some time thinking about what you are looking for, before forging ahead.

Next, think about your budget. Many wellness programs, methods, and techniques can be quite costly, and you will need to determine whether you can reasonably afford the products or techniques that you are interested in. Remember that you might have to tighten your budget, so that you can save until you can afford what may be a regular cost. The key is to get an idea of what you can reasonably afford based on your regular spending habits and your discipline, because this will help you determine which of the products or techniques fulfill your expectations and desires as well as your budget. By doing this, you will easily narrow down what wellness programs will work for you and those that will not.

Mindeze offers a natural therapy at http://www.mindeze.com. The therapy is based on kinesiology and qigong, and has helped people from all over the world improve their lives, mentally and physically. The healing method is based on the principle that the body contains a system of energy that can have blockages or imbalances, which cause symptoms such as stress and anxiety. People who use the therapy learn how to "listen" to their bodies to pinpoint the problem areas and use touches, rubs, and eye rolling to restore their energy flow. The company offers the therapy through workshops that are also available on DVD or direct download.

Energy healing is something that many people could benefit from, yet so many people dismiss it and think that it is nonsense. They believe that they are better off seeking traditional care. While traditional medical attention has its place, there is also a place for natural care. Many people find more relief from natural treatments than they ever find in traditional medicine. So, if you are suffering from an ailment and you find that traditional methods of care simply are not working, why not try something a bit different? Sometimes allowing yourself to open up and try something new is just what you need to change your life.

Are you new to energy healing and wondering exactly what it is all about? It is actually quite simple. Seeking this sort of treatment can be very effective and an obvious choice when you learn what it is all about. Simply put, this type of treatment is based on the belief that there is energy running through the body. Many people are better able to picture this when they compare the human body to an electrical circuit. Just as electricity runs through an electrical circuit, energetic currents run through the body. If there is a blockage, this causes problems in the body as well as in the electrical circuit. When these blockages or "crossed wires" occur, a whole host of problems can happen. If you just put a band-aid on them, they will continue to get worse over time.

Energy healing works well because many of the techniques can identify the underlying problems in the body, instead of just treating the symptoms as traditional medication often does. When you are able to identify the underlying problems, you are able to create a treatment plan and vigorously attack the problems in a straightforward manner. The result is achieving health and happiness through personalized treatment. What is wonderful about this type of treatment is that most people can learn it quite easily and apply it to their lives in very little time, meaning a more balanced life in the short term as well as long term.

If you would like to learn a lot about energy healing from one of the foremost experts in the business, Richard Link has created a therapy that fuses Eastern and Western techniques. The therapy is offered through the company Mindeze at http://www.mindeze.com. The website will provide you with a wealth of information—including through eBooks—to help you can decide whether this is a technique that will work well for you or not. Mindeze's therapy is a combination of kinesiology, qigong, and other methods, and works to restore the flow of energetic current through the body so that health and happiness can be achieved. On the website, you will also find a listing of workshop dates so that you can sign up to attend a two-day workshop to learn these techniques that can help you change your life. The workshops are also available on DVD and direct download.

These days, it seems like everyone is searching for or buying a health and wellness product. It could be caplets that you take, classes that you attend, and liquids that you drink. While many of these really are helpful, there are a lot of them that are simply a waste of your money, and, more important, your time. It can be frustrating when you start using any of these products, but you do not get the results that you had hoped for. Your frustration is warranted, but it is important not to get too discouraged. There are a lot of great items out there that can help you change your life and start living the way you have always wanted.

When you are searching for a health and wellness product, you will want to select something that you can obtain information on. First, consider the history of the product or technique. Where did it come from? Who invented it? What are the credentials related to the person or company that invented or produced the product, class, or technique? These questions are important to ask, and, if you cannot get satisfactory answers, you might want to seek help somewhere else. If you go to the website of a product, class, or technique, and you cannot seek this information, or cannot call and obtain it, then something is wrong! Services that are worth your time and money are upfront, honest, and will provide you with all of the information that you need to make an informed choice.

Next, you will want to think about how well the health and wellness product fits your needs or expectations. Are you signing up to learn a new technique that is mainly for depression, or do you suffer from anxiety? You might find a particular technique that is not quite right for you, and, instead of forcing it to work for you, you will want to find something that fits your needs perfectly. Really consider all of the benefits that are claimed about the item, and make sure that it is something that will likely give you what you need and expect from the item. Also, make sure that your expectations are realistic. When you have very high or unrealistic expectations, you are only setting yourself up for disappointment. Choosing the right item, class, or technique is of great importance.

If you would like to learn about a health and wellness product that really works and has helped people all over the world, visit Mindeze at http://www.mindeze.com. You will learn about a wonderful technique that can help relieve the symptoms of depression, panic attacks, problems with blood sugar and blood pressure, and more. This type of alternative healing works to channel energy through the body. Where the energy does not flow correctly, corrections are made. The technique is completely natural, painless, and has a very high success rate. The technique can be learned through the company's workshop or on DVD or direct download.

Are you shopping for a new home and now need to think about financing? If you have been in the military—and was honorably discharged—or are currently serving, you may want to consider a VA loan, because there are many advantages. The process is no more or less complicated than applying for any other type of mortgage. With benefits that come with this type of financing, it is worth a shot. The worst thing that will happen is that you will be denied and you have to look into other financing options. Of course, you can get this type of loan for debt consolidation or refinance, too!

If you are wondering whether you are eligible to apply, you can contact your local veterans office and ask them about the eligibility requirements. The requirements are fairly simple, though. You simply had to have served in the military sometime between World War II and the present. If you served during wartime, you need to have served at least 90 consecutive days. If you served during peace time, you will need to have served at least 180 days. Only those who were honorably discharged are eligible to apply for a VA loan.

Applying for this type of financing is done just like with any other lending program. You will need to fill out an application with your financial and personal information to be reviewed by a mortgage lender. You will also need to provide your Social Security number so that your credit report can be pulled. A mortgage lender will be interested in whether or not you have been able to fulfill your financial obligations in the past. Your overall credit score is often a determining factor in being approved for a VA loan.

Those who are approved for this type of financing may enjoy benefits like no down payment, 100% financing, no maximums on loan amounts, and no prepayment penalty if you decide to pay your loan off early. Many veterans also enjoy really great interest rates when they are approved for this type of financing. While the market and interest rates generally fluctuate quite a bit, these rates remain very reasonable. The bottom line is that they make the home-buying process more affordable to veterans.

If you would like to apply for a VA loan, visit VA Loans Today at http://www.valoanstoday.com. This website is not run by the government but specializes in this type of financing. It has enabled many veterans to apply for and receive their funding efficiently. The application to get the process started is available right on the website, as is all specific eligibility information to determine whether or not you should even bother with applying. This website will allow veterans to get all of the information and the financing they need in one place and is very easy to use.

About The Author: http://www.valoanstoday.com was founded in 1983 and has grown over the years, taking pride in being able to help make home ownership a reality for many. Today the company provides VA home loans and VA loans for initial purchases, refinancing, home improvement.
