People often associate luxury with something unattainable. They tend to perceive it as the forbidden fruit that is therefore the sweetest. High fashion is a typical phenomenon of luxury. Every presentation of a new collection in the world of fashion is an event, well planned and directed, scheduled by the second.

Its special character and magic require that the venue where the event is organised is equally luxurious. The choice and preparation of the venue should work in perfect harmony with the clothes presented on the catwalk. Everything is perfect – the setting, the lighting and the background music. Young, beautiful women, perfect make-up, and the hair styles matching the demonstrated clothes. The faces of the models gracefully walking up and down the podium do not betray the anxiety behind the scenes, the stress of the numerous people working there. Thus, everybody does their job irreproachably.

The first row of the audience seats invited clients, potential customers, women who will later order the clothes and in some ways decide the fate of the designer. Even for internationally renowned designers each presentation of a new collection is a huge challenge and a way to secure his or her status. The latest spring collections of the fashion houses Dior and Channel are the best proof that fashion is the discipline of excellence and that Paris remains the cradle of the high fashion.

Designers working for prestigious fashion houses have all the possibilities to organise such events. However, how is a talented, young designer supposed to do that? How to organise a personal fashion show and to present the result of your work and imagination without a strong financial background? More and more young designers turn to Asia and other Eastern countries hoping to realise their dream there and then possibly returning to work in Paris. In any case, it will still be fashion, but somewhere else.

High fashion is a tribute to creativity and fantasy. Often extravagant collections require a great deal of courage to present them, let alone the courage to wear them. Designers are first of all artists who reveal a part of their inner self with every piece of clothing they put on show. If you experience the sense of admiration and surprise while watching a fashion show, the designer's toil was not in vain. The fact that only a handful of women are prestigious fashion house clients does not mean that others have no choice. In any case, everyone has the extraordinary privilege to admire, appreciate and judge designers' works and thus touch upon the magic art world called high fashion.

Luxury, on the other hand, also means choosing comfortable, high quality clothes that suit well, developing an individual style and feeling good in it. The privilege to choose every piece of clothing with a style and distinct character, to make sure that it matches your body and spirit, brings out your personality is becoming a big luxury and not at all everyone is endowed with it.

Article Title: How To Choose The Best Wireless Outdoor Security Camera

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

A Wireless security camera can provide valuable protection for your home or business in a very effective way. Just seeing a CCTV camera installed outside your business or home serves as a simple but very effective deterrent to potential vandals or thieves considering breaking in.

A wireless outdoor security camera is quick and easy to install. Once it's mounted, you're ready to monitor, without any hassle of wiring.

The camera sends video to a receiver in your home or business wirelessly. The receiver connects to your TV, VCR, or digital video recorder (DVR), letting you view or record the video feed. A wireless IP camera (network camera) can also connect directly your computer network for recording directly to your computer's hard disk.

What to look for in wireless outdoor security cameras

Make sure you plan out the way you will set up your system before you buy. Identify where you will mount your security camera and where you will place the receiver. You should experience no problem with signal loss if they are within 30-40 meters of each other, but this does depend on objects such as thick walls and ceilings.

If the distance between receiver and camera is more than that, you likely will need to extend your transmission range with a wireless card that plugs into a slot in your wireless outdoor security camera. This moves the antenna outside the camera, effectively extending the transmission range. Some wireless cameras come pre-built with powerful antennas for longer distances.

Another important thing to look for is reliability and durability for protection from the weather, from vandals, and from anything else that could damage or disable it. Make sure the housing for your camera is tamper resistant and weather resistant. It needs to be covered enough to shield you camera from the sun and sturdy enough to protect your camera from rain, hail, snow, sand, dust or vandals.

Check also that your wireless outdoor security camera is adequately protected against whatever extremes in temperatures are common in your area. If you live in a hot climate, you likely will need a built-in fan. Conversely, if you live in a cold climate, you'll likely need a built-in heater. You can also purchase camera housing separately that will protect your camera for these environments.

Consider the light levels available for your outdoor security camera. A camera's ability to operate in low light levels is measured by what is called the lux rating. The lower the lux rating, the less light the camera needs in order to transmit a clear picture.

If the light level is especially low, you may want to consider an infrared camera that provides excellent night vision. An infrared security camera is capable of transmitting clear video even in complete darkness.

What will wireless outdoor security cameras do for you?

The system you set up will give you peace of mind that you are deterring vandals and criminals. In doing so, you enhance the safety and security of your home and family or business. When you do that, you can also decrease your insurance payments because you are less likely to make future claims.

The beauty of an outdoor wireless security camera is that you accomplish all these with a system that is easy to install and manage and will benefit you for years to come

Article Title: Nintendo Wii Backwards Compatibility

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

It recently struck me when talking to friends that not many people know that the Nintento Wii is backwards compatible with the Gamecube, and even includes connectivity for the Game Boy Advance. Nintendo Wii Backwards Compatibility is not all plain sailing though as this article explains.

When the Nintendo Wii was introduced, one of the main advantages of the console for many gamers was the fact that it could play Nintendo GameCube games too. With backwards capability, you can use all GameCube games and accessories on the Nintendo Wii. However, there are a few slight problems which you will have to take into account.

The Potential Problems of Playing GameCube Games on the Wii

The main disadvantage which comes with playing GameCube games on the Wii is that you cannot always save your game. So you could be doing really well on a game but you cannot save it and so you would lose everything you had just done. This is especially a problem with adventure style games which take quite a long time to complete. If you would like to be able to save your game then you can always purchase a Nintendo GameCube memory card. That should allow you to save any GameCube game on your Wii.

If you do want to play GameCube games on your Nintendo Wii then another thing that you will have to purchase is a GameCube controller, if of course you don't already own one. Obviously the controllers for the two consoles are completely different. This means that if you attempted to play a GameCube game with a Nintendo Wii controller, it simply would not work. So you do need to ensure that you have some of the GameCube accessories before you use the games on your Wii console.

Another advantage which comes from the Nintendo Wii having GameCube ports is that you can also connect a Game Boy Advance as well as an e-Reader. However again you will need accessories to be able to use this and for the Game Boy Advance you will need a Game Boy Advance Cable.

One thing that also may be a problem is that since the firmware has been updated to 3.0 the console may now not be completely compatible with the GameCube Action Replay feature. This works with GameCube games and so you may experience some problems when you do try to play various games designed specifically for the GameCube.

Finally the Wii will not be compatible with GameCube composite video, component video cables and S-Video due to it using a proprietary port.

So there are some negative things that you have to keep in mind when looking into using the Nintendo Wii for GameCube games. Overall though, it is definitely an advantage that you can play GameCube games on the console. It means that anybody who has previously bought a GameCube before the Wii will be able to still play the games on both consoles. It is easier than having to keep switching between the two machines and the graphics are also really good when playing on the Wii too.

Overall Nintendo Wii Backwards Compatibility is a great added benefit to an already excellent gaming system.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

If you are looking to invest in a secure and strong property market, then if you do your homework you can't really go wrong with a Cyprus investment property. There are many things to consider when investing in property, such as capital growth, mortgage rates, rent-ability, accessibility, the weather, and so on. This article discusses the reasons why I think Southern Cyprus is an excellent property investment opportunity. On the contrary, I think Northern Cyprus is not a safe investment, but I'll discuss this one in a later article!

A Cyprus Property Example The Weather

There are approximately 340 days of sunshine a year in Cyprus, where the tourists and the locals can enjoy basking in the sun. When the weather in the neighboring countries is getting cold, Cyprus is still warm and sunny. If you buy a property and your main aim is rental, then an all-year-round rental season is a huge bonus, especially with more and more holiday makers looking for winter sun.

    The Law and Taxes

Cyprus is a very British island and has adopted many of the English common laws. Not only are the laws very similar to the UK, but the locals also speak very good English as this is their adopted second language. For this reason, there is a large amount of British buyers, many of whom buy a property in Cyprus for retirement purposes. There is still a strong influx of second home-buyers and investors, but the low taxes are a great incentive for permanent living and investment. In fact, the inheritance tax in Cyprus is 0% and UK pensions are taxed at only 5%.

    The European Union (EU)

When Cyprus became a member of the EU, property investors became increasingly interested in the Cyprus property market. On top of this, a new VAT rate was of 20% was added to new build property where planning permission was not granted before the law came into affect. Previously VAT was 0%, so together these factors caused a large influx of investors.

As of the 1st January 2008 Cyprus will also adopt the Euro single currency. These changes to the Cyprus investment property market will surely mean longer term security for your hard earned money.

    Shortage of Land for Developers

There is a shortage of land for developers to build on in Cyprus and there are strict planning laws on the height and density of new developments. In the medium term the amount of new builds will decrease and the amount of re-sales will increase, proving that getting into the market early should show some strong capital gains in 5+ years.

    Budget Airlines

The first budget flights from the UK were launched this year, indicating a much stronger and predict growth for travelers. Again, this can only benefit the buy-to-let market if that is your main goal for a Cyprus investment property.

    Banks and Mortgages

It is relatively simple to get a mortgage in Cyprus, and with mortgage rates falling inline with the EU it has become a great place to arrange your mortgage. Mortgage terms can be up to 90% of the LTV and repayment terms can be up to 30 years.

    Short Term or Long Term?

I think the short term "buy to sell" market has cooled down due to the number of developments currently on offer and the shear volume of developers in competition. This could actually bring on uncertain and unpredictable turbulence in the next year or two. On the other hand, this means you can still pick-up bargains if you do your homework before visiting Cyprus. For a medium to long term investment in Cyprus property, I really don't think you can go wrong within Southern Cyprus. As a sun destination, there are very few markets as safe and attractive as this one.

As for the areas of Cyprus and the different types of property to invest in, I will cover this a separate article.

We all want to ensure our home and family are safe at all times, but we are constantly under threat from ever increasing burglary and vandalism. In our attempts to make us safer, it can often be beneficial to install a Hidden Home Security Camera.

In this article we will explore the hidden security options available, to help you decide when a hidden home security camera system can be of benefit to you and your family.

A hidden home security camera system can work in many ways for your benefit and safety. Here are 3 very good examples:

    * Monitoring your home's main entry points

A hidden home security camera system placed outside your property and covering the main entry points is a great way to catch a potential thief or vandal. If your cameras are not hidden then you run the risk of them being vandalized in order to gain access to your home without detection. If the cameras are hidden you will be able to monitor a potential burglar with ease. Even if a thief did gain access to your property there is a very good chance that any recordings of the incident can be used as evidence in a criminal prosecution.

    * In a baby's or toddler's room

If you place a camera in your child's room you can monitor them when you are elsewhere in your home or garden to ensure they are safe. In this case, a hidden home security camera will work best because a child may be tempted to play with the camera should it be visible.

    * Catch the vandals

Many people today are the victims of vandalism. Most often vandalism is random, but occasionally some people are the target of repeat vandalism. If you are a victim of repeat vandalism, for example someone has been damaging you car on your driveway, then covert hidden cameras and recording equipment can be easily be set-up to catch them red-handed.

There are many other types of security systems available, including wireless and wired devices as well as monitored home security systems, which are all very popular. You have to decide which type of system is most suitable for you, based on your personal circumstances. You may find that you will prefer a monitored security system that ensures that help is on the way as soon as the alarm is triggered. This means that you don't have to worry when you are out of town as the local authorities will keep a watch on your property.

At times when a burglar observes obvious devices of a security system they may get intimidated and choose to leave your property alone. After all, no one wants to get caught and arrested, and besides there are plenty of other properties that may not have a security system at all.

In order to decide which system is best for you and your home, it is best to check all the available options, so you can easily decide when and where you would like a hidden home security. If your budget allows it then the best solution would be to install a security system that allows for a combination of hidden and standard cameras, so that you can expand the security system as and when required, or as and when your budget allows.

You might be under the false impression that because someone owns a medical practice they are very wealthy. It might be true, but just as easily it might not. If a physician isn't making the kind of money he should it might be because he doesn't have the skills necessary to take care of the business side of his business.

A physician who recognizes this weakness will use the services of a medical billing company to take care of the details of his office.

These companies have a trained staff of medical billing professionals who are trained to take care of every billing need a medical practice would have. They can handle the insurance details as well as the medical coding part of the business.

Insurance companies can be very difficult to work with. They will deny a claim for the slightest reason and some of those reasons border on the ridiculous.

A medical practice that is quite busy with patients and chooses to submit their own claims to insurance companies will find that their claims are denied a good deal of the time. If a medical billing company is used, however, this does not happen as often.

A medical practice that sees a great many patients must fill out the insurance claim forms for every one of those patients. One person could be responsible for filling out the forms for every patient that visits the practice. That person must write out the insurance forms and send them off to the insurance company. If one error is made on those insurance forms the claim will be automatically denied. It is then sent back to be corrected and filled out again.

This can often overload the person that is responsible for handling the medical insurance forms.

When the claims are all filled out properly and everything is fine it can still take the insurance company months to send a check. If the practice is relatively small this can wreak havoc on the budget of the small practice. Especially, if there are claims that are denied all in the same time period.

When a medical billing company does the work the practice is relieved of the duty to handle the insurance forms and all of the problems that are associated with it. There are professionals working on the claims and getting them to the insurance company through electronic methods. This eliminates the need to enter the claims manually to the insurance company.

A medical billing company will also make sure that the claim goes through the process error and problem free. They will constantly monitor the claims to make sure that there is no problem. Most of these businesses have a success rate of more than ninety percent.

An electronic submittal of a claim gets either rejected or accepted right away. If it is accepted the check will be sent to the practice in days not months as happens with a manual system.

If the practice is small a business that will get them their checks from the insurance company quickly is the difference between success and failure. If the practice thinks that the cost of a medical billing company is too much for the small business to afford they should consider what is at stake and then analyze the cost.

A medical billing company will work for any type of practice no matter what kind of medicine they practice.

Article Title: Skin Care Cosmetics – Are They Helpful Or Harmful?

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Is the use of skin care cosmetics helpful, or are they harmful to us?

Healthy and beautiful skin is a great confidence booster. Some people have natural beauty and don't tend to use any skin care cosmetics, whereas there are others who just don't use skin care cosmetics due to a number of reasons. Some people feel that skin care cosmetics can harm their skin, and therefore choose not to use then.

However, there are a very large number of people (both men and women) who do use skin care cosmetics as part of their daily routine. This is why the business of cosmetic products is booming!

So then, can the use of skin care cosmetics be helpful, or can they be harmful to us?

Opinions seem divided, but one thing is for sure – Looking beautiful and healthy is surely nice and very desirable. On the other hand, too much skin care cosmetics can surely be harmful (as such, excess of almost anything is harmful). So, what do we do?

The first thing is to formulate (and follow) a skin care routine that will help keep your skin look and feel healthy, as well as clean and bacteria free. The general recommendation is to cleanse and moisturise your skin every day, and to tone and occasionally exfoliate as and when needed.

Beauty enhancing cosmetic products on the other hand can be used as part of your daily skin care routine, or be applied only on special occasions, for example when attending a party.

However, before using any skin care cosmetic (or indeed any other cosmetic) it is very important to select the right product for your skin type. Here is a set of five rules that you should follow when selecting any skin care cosmetic:

    1. The general rule is to use products that suit your skin type. This is true both for the routine products and for the skin care cosmetic. So check the label to see what it says. If you have dry skin for example, go for the products that explicitly say 'for dry skin only'. General products will normally say something like 'for all skin types'.

    2. Test the skin care cosmetic before using it. This can be done by applying the skin care cosmetic on a small patch of skin that is not easily noticeable, for example on the ear lobes. This will allow you to check for a reaction of the product on your skin before applying it to a large area.

    3. Check the ingredients of the skin care cosmetic for chemicals that you are allergic to. Do not use products that are very harsh on skin, for example products with high alcohol concentrations. These types of cosmetics might work once or twice, but can cause longer-lasting damage to your skin.

    4. More is not better. Read the instructions and ensure that you apply the products in right quantity. Also, be gentle with your skin and follow the right procedures for the application of skin care products. Rubbing too hard or trying to squeeze a pimple can lead to permanent damage (such as scaring) to your skin.

    5. Finally, if you have a skin disorder (such as acne), you should consult a dermatologist before using any type skin care cosmetic. Again, apply rule 2 if you have a skin disorder to ensure that the cosmetic doesn't cause a reaction.

Remember to follow these 5 basic rules and you will have trouble-free use of skin care cosmetics.

Article Title: I Hate This Joint Ache And Pain In My Hand – How Do I Get Rid Of It?

The joint ache is what I woke up to each morning. The pain in my hand was there constantly; it only varied in degrees of pain throughout the day. Do you realize how much you use your hands and just how many actions you need to be able to use your hands for even few minutes? Think of how many times you bend your fingers in a single day. When the pain in your hand is continuous and there is always joint ache, your life is hell.

I had to get rid of the joint pain in my fingers and my hand. I needed to find the cause; otherwise I just had to take drugs to cover up the pain. And trying to hide that joint pain burning in my hands and fingers with drugs didn't seem like a real solution to me. Also there were the side effects of those drugs to consider, especially over a long period of time. I had to decide - was I going to handle the joint pain burning in my fingers and regain the flexibility of my hand or was I just going to help the drug companies make a little more profit each day?

There was the joint ache in my thumb to consider, and did it have the same cause as the pain in my hand? Did my thumb joint have a bone spur and was I going to develop one of those Heberden's nodes? I've read that is where the cartilage deteriorates and the bone next to it becomes inflamed which can produce new bone in the form of a bony protrusion, called a "spur." There was a good chance that the degeneration of the cartilage was causing the joint pain in my thumb; I bend that thumb joint a hundred times a day.

Was this pain in finger joints, hand arthritis or some other joint problem? But more importantly, were there any herbal remedies for arthritis or just drugs for the pain? I have heard that for joint pain glucosamine has been effective and it could be used for hand arthritis. Research shows that glucosamine is actually a component of cartilage and the body uses it to repair and rebuild the cartilage. Another commonly used dietary supplement is Glucosamine Chondroitin for arthritis symptoms and other similar joint problems. It took a bit of time and research to figure out exactly what I needed to do to resolve my joint pain. But to me it was well worth the time and effort that I spent.

No one should have to endure joint ache. There are solutions that don't require drugs. There are exercises, all natural pain relievers, glucosamine chondroitin, arthritis creams and other herbal remedies. Many of the current books on joint problems cite the latest research in causes of joint pain and the wide array of medical and alternative medicine options available to you in the treatment of joint problems. You may need to narrow down the cause of your joint ache or pains because there are over 300 different kinds of problems one can have with joints. Your best solutions for those life interrupting joint problems is not going to be drugs, always start with the natural supplements and herbal remedies.

We are living in social media world today. Social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest have not only provided us the opportunity to socially connect with each other but one can promote his/ her website or online business in an effective way too. Pinterest is special of all because it has achieved success in very short period of time.

    What is Pinterest?

If you haven't been able to check the Pinterest by now, well, you should. One should use Pinterest not because this is another new social media website on the internet sphere, but because the site went viral in a few weeks.

First, you need to know what Pinterest is all about. It's more like a pictorial social media networking site that allows you to share with others in form of pictures only.

The core idea of Pinterest is that, each user gets a themed board where he pins the stuff he likes from all over the internet. Everything on site is represented in form of images. The site has seen an immense growth after getting launched and it has become the first website in history to get 10 million unique visitors/ month in such short time.

How to use Pinterest for driving traffic towards your website:

There are different ways to promote your website or blog via Pinterest that are described below.

Using Images On Website And Pinning On Pinterest – If you are not using images on your blog/ website, I suggest you start using them now. Not only that you can post the images on your website but you can also pin the same image on your Pinterest pin board too. In this way, people will also be able to pin your images if they like them. The images must be attractive and eye catching because people have a split second to look at the images and like/ dislike them.

Using a PinIt button – You can use a PinIt button to directly pin an image on your boards. The button can be installed in your browser. Along with that, you must also display a PinIt button on your website/ blog so people who like it can pin the post on their boards too.

Branding the Business Name – You not only want to drive traffic towards your website you also want people to recognize you and your business as well. Make sure you are using Pinterest with your business name to create a brand image.

Fill the About Section – There is an "About" section on your Pinterest profile where you can put information about yourself. Try to put concise and interesting information so people can get attracted towards your profile and start following you.

Add Website URL in Profile – Adding your website URL in your profile is a great way to drive your Pinterest traffic towards your site/ blog.

Pin Stuff Regularly And Steadily – Instead of pinning a lot of stuff once in a day, try pinning different things all over the day with a steady pace. It will help you get more attention and drive more traffic to your website as an end-result.

How Pinterest Is An Effective Social Marketing Tool?

There are many logics that tell you why Pinterest is a great social marketing strategy. It has emerged as a powerful tool in such a short period of time.

About 80% of the Pinterest users are connected to the network via Facebook.

On average, a Pinterest user spends 89 minutes on the site whereas the same turnout is only 21 minutes when it comes to Twitter.

A person might think… He can share photos on Facebook and other social networking sites then why should he bother about Pinterest?

That's very true! But comparing the both social media sites, you realize that Pinterest is quite different from Facebook. On Facebook, it is more about who you are, what you do and how you have been doing it. However, when it comes to Pinterest you can totally reshape your social image, become whatever you want to be and do what you want to do.

On Pinterest, you create less stuff and share the repeated stuff most of the times. So, if you have created something really good, it will be repined again and again bringing some good number of traffic to your website.

For people who want to become a wine connoisseur, what makes a wine "quality"? When you taste a wine and assess it, your personal taste is just as important as the wine you are drinking. A high quality wine does not necessarily mean you will enjoy it as your own personal taste may lean toward something different. Wine producers boast of high ratings from wine critics as it converts into sales, but this is just a single opinion and does not necessarily reflect quality. Quality is not definitive and it depends on the judgement of experts in the field. A well-qualified panel of expert palates who all agree on a particular wine is as near to a definition of high quality as it gets.

To understand how to assess the quality of wine, you need to know how wine experts make their judgements. Six different factors are taken into account when assessing wine:

Balance: The balance of a wine is the relationship between the component parts of acidity, tannin, alcohol, and sweetness. Balance in a wine is when you get a harmonious blend of flavours and nothing obviously stands out like too much sweetness or too much acidity.

Length: This term is to describe where the taste hits you in your mouth. A long wine will be tasted across the whole length of the tongue. Length is a sign of high quality. A short wine will be tasted on the front of the tongue with instant impact but does not have "length" Usually wine is short due to excess alcohol or tannin.

Depth: This attribute is somewhat subjective. It cannot be measured; it is a feeling in the mouth and a taste that is lively and not flat. "Flat" wine can never be high quality.

Complexity: There are simple drinkable wines and very enjoyable they are too. A complex wine is one that continues to peel away layers of flavours constantly surprising the palate and showing different aspects of its character. It refers to aromas and flavours but some experts define this as the overall impression of the wine.

Finish: This is what you are left with in the back of your mouth and throat after you have swallowed the wine, also known as aftertaste. In a high quality wine, you can still discern the flavours such as fruit or spice. No aftertaste or bitterness indicates a low quality wine.

Type: High quality wines must be true to type so you need to know what the tasting notes are for a given wine to identify its quality. This is where some study and tasting sessions help to become experienced in what to look for. Getting to know the grape varieties and soils they are grown in lend to the flavour will help you become a better judge. For example, the well-known Cabernet Sauvignon grape, which is used as a single varietal or in a blended wine, will always have an aroma and taste reminiscent of blackcurrants.

A high quality wine will leave no nasty surprises on your palate it will taste smooth, have wonderful aromas, be without bitterness, sharpness or too much sweetness and will leave a pleasant residual taste and sensation in the mouth and back of the throat.

Call center turnover is an inevitability, as most high volume call centers will have a high turnover rate and so finding the right employees to help you in a fast manner can prove to be very effective when you need to find employees for your call center in a hurry.

In this article we will list a few recruiting processes as well as give you the positive and negatives of each process in order to help fill your call center with qualified individuals that can help you succeed. Before your call center recruiting process is started, nailing down the qualifications that are needed and having a clear definition of the tasks at hand are also important. Also, a tip to help in hiring is to ask those individuals who have been with you the longest and find out what they like best about their job. When you find this information, you will know how to find individuals of similar personality.

    Newspaper Call Center Recruiting

Placing an ad in the newspaper used to be the fastest process for call center recruiting. However, because websites online have high traffic, it is now a secondary tactic although it is still needed in your hiring reach to get those who still rely on the paper in order to seek employment. When placing an ad in the newspaper, it is important to be as specific as possible in order to weed out individuals who do not have talents specific to your job. If your position available can be started without extensive training, making a small ad stating this fact will produce a big response. However, if your turnover rate is due to the proficiency in communication, then it is more important to be more specific and have negative qualifiers such as, "Must have, Must be".

    Internet Call Center Recruiting

As mentioned, the internet is now the primary way that a company uses to find employees. There are a number of sites such as Monster.com, Careerbuilder.com, CallCenterCareers.com and others that update in real time as new jobs are posted. The advantage that a call center has when posting a job on the internet is that your prospects will have basic computer proficiency if that is required for the position. Posting a job on sites such as Monster.com gives a call center the ability to reach 1000's of prospective individuals who are looking for a job.

When seeking individuals to help you operate a call center, you run the risks of people losing interest in their jobs because it can seem repetitive. The process of losing employees has to do with two factors: 1. They are not right for the job. 2. Something internally is wrong. Finding more individuals who are right for your call center is as easy as profiling the personality characteristics of those who work with you by asking them how the job best fits their personality. Some individuals love repetition while others loathe it.

Another tip is to create incentive programs for performance; this will ensure a forward momentum in your hiring process as well. Saying this, utilizing both real world and internet hiring processes will help you with a quick reach and remember, use negative qualifiers if your attrition rate is high.

Squidoo is a free platform that should be definitely be utilized by any business as one aspect of their various marketing strategies. This web 2.0 site gets a lot of love from Google, and the pages created on the site ("lenses") rank easily and very quickly in Google – often as soon as a few hours.

If you have never used Squidoo before, you will be pleasantly surprised when you discover how extremely simple it is to create and publish your first Squidoo Lens. For those who have no HTML knowledge or have never built a webpage, a lens can be created in a few short steps without any technical skills.

One of the most important aspects to creating a lens is to choose an attractive headline which will be your "URL" on the web. This headline must contain your desired keywords; it cannot be changed once it is created. Local business names are a great choice and can rank very easily, with little competition.

Once the title/headline is created, it is a simple matter to add content by adding what are called "modules". You simple select these, and reorder them any way that you like by dragging and dropping them. For a business, inserting a few text modules, a video module, links, RSS Feed and a guest book at the end are the best choices. Text modules allow you to set out details about your business, including a short introduction, a summary of what you do and the products or services you offer.

Videos are heavily viewed by visitors, and if you have a short video about your business, this can definitely attract visitors. The link module can assist in directing visitors to your lens back to your website. RSS Feeds allows your visitors to "subscribe" to your lens and more importantly, allows you to submit your lensmaster RSS to RSS directories. The guestbook at the end is an excellent way to receive feedback from your visitors and allows you to interact with them.

Once your lens has been built, you should revisit it at least once every few weeks and try to update the content to keep it "fresh". Traffic to your lens is not going to explode immediately, you will need to do some work in the background with some marketing strategies such as backlinking or outsource that work if you are not sure what to do. Some of the background work involves posting to free ad blogs with your targeted keyword (linking back to your lens), and commenting on various blogs in your niche that have a "Commentluv Plugin".

Once your lens has been published, the next step is to check to see if you are indexed in Google. Of course, you should wait about one day before you try, but here are the steps. First, go to your lens and copy the URL onto your clipboard. Next, go to Google.com and in the search box, you will type site:yourlensurl (here it says "your lens url", paste in the url). If you see your Squidoo lens in the searches returned, you have already been indexed. If you cannot find it, then you have not yet been indexed.

Squidoo works hard to keep all of the lenses listed in their directory completely spam free. This is why it is very important to provide some good information when you create your lens. If you are planning to simply throw up a lens that is just an ad "in disguise", then it won't be accepted by Squidoo. This is how they ensure that they remain an authority site on the internet, and it is also why Google loves their content.

While you may see some lenses that you would consider "spam", they certainly do not last long on the site. Lenses are regularly reviewed by visitors and staff alike, and if your lens is not up to snuff, you will receive an email notifying you that your lens will be deleted if you do not make immediate changes.

As far as marketing strategies go, Squidoo is here to stay. Due to the fact that the lenses receive such high rankings in Google and get you to page one on Google, they have become and remain an extremely popular way to get people a lot of high quality and more importantly, free and natural traffic. The starting point is to make sure you have a good set of keywords to work with, and then to develop your content and ideas from those.

Modern marketing has dramatically evolved over the past few years as modern technology continues to expand and improve. These technological innovations have given marketing a new lease of life, enabling greater flexibility and the opportunity to rapidly engage a wider target audience. In particular, small businesses have significantly benefited from mobile marketing as a successful marketing strategy. Not only is this marketing technique extremely effective, it is also highly economical.

Mobile marketing may be broadly defined as the application of mobile mediums as a method of market communication. It enables businesses and organizations to communicate and connect with audiences in an interactive and relevant way using any mobile network or device.

Essentially, mobile marketing is the advertising of products and services that reach their target audience on a mobile device such as a mobile phone, tablet, or laptop notepad. Mobile marketing can take on a variety of forms and uses tools including, SMS, proximity systems, location-based services, MMS, in-game marketing, mobile web marketing, Bluetooth and QR codes, amongst others.

SMS (small message service) marketing is a very popular marketing strategy, especially given that millions of mobile phones users and that text messaging is one of the most popular forms of modern communication. Proximity systems and location-based services allow additional marketing manipulation by using text messaging to target mobile users within a specified geographical range. This can be particularly advantageous in large shopping complexes for example, where mobile phone users can have special offers sent to them whilst shopping in these facilities.

In addition to sending text messages, MMS (multimedia message service) adds further functionality to mobile marketing campaigns by facilitating advertising through images, audio and video mediums. Many businesses are taking advantage of these marketing strategies because they are able to send bulk advertising messages to their clients at the push of a single button. On average a SMS or MMS is read within five minutes of receiving the message. With such a rapid response rate, SMS and MMS mobile marketing can be a highly effective marketing strategy to generate leads and drive traffic for a business.

Mobile gaming has grown considerably over the past few years with interactive real time 3D games, social networking games and extensive multi-player games becoming extremely popular. Consequently, businesses are engaging these consumers by advertising within mobile games, in addition to other mobile web-based marketing. This technology can be intergraded with mobile texting services to provide reminders of important events and promotions. Additionally, Bluetooth mobile advertising products can facilitate an interface between businesses and customers, whereby consumers can download text files, images, games, videos and other media. This provides another reliable avenue for mobile marketing strategies.

Quick response codes, commonly referred to as QR codes, have been around for many years, however more recently they have been incorporated into mobile marketing campaigns. QR codes are essentially bar codes that can be scanned by mobile devices and subsequently open a hyperlink to relevant product information. They provide a very effective marketing strategy, especially with the ability to merge QR codes, tracking features and various mobile landing pages to capture leads, process sales and provide detailed product information.

Undoubtedly there are a wide variety of mobile marketing tools available to businesses, providing marketing flexibility and the capacity to tailor marketing to meet specific business requirements. Additionally, mobile marketing is real-time marketing. Consumers can receive advertising material or other information practically instantly.

Mobile marketing tools are also very easy to use, for both the vendor and consumer. Furthermore, mobile marketing can reach a wide consumer base with very little effect or cost. Given that mobile content is easily shared between users, mobile marketing has exceptional viral opportunities. As friends, families and colleges frequently share information; businesses can receive excessive exposure without any extra effort. Consequently, mobile marketing inevitably leads to higher conversion rates and more business opportunities.

Mobile marketing has another added edge over traditional marketing methods; it becomes personal. As mobile platforms interact directly with end users, there is the ability to create personalized interactions and build ongoing customer relations. Businesses can create direct dialogue with customers, this not only provides a sales avenue, it is also a way to generate customer feedback and improve marketing strategies.

The financial investment required to employ mobile marketing strategies are extremely low compared with the potential financial return. For example, using SMS and MMS to market a business will typically require the payment for sending the messages and nothing more. Additionally, costs are lowered by reduced labour requirements. It does not take long to put together and execute a mobile marketing plan in comparison with other marketing strategies.

Essentially, mobile marketing strategies enable mass communication at very low cost to the business. Mobile marketing can be easily integrated into existing marketing plans and provide a more personalized approach. Undoubtedly, mobile marketing will continue to expand and offer a very viable, financially rewarding and exciting approach to small business marketing strategies.

How effective Twitter is for your online marketing initiatives depends on what you aim to use it for and the results you expect to get from using it. One of Twitter's strengths is that it provides you with all the tools you need to build up an army of followers, or even several armies of followers if you really set your mind to it. You can then start meaningful conversations with your followers and nurture relationships with them. Later on you can exploit these relationships to sell your products and services.

Here are a few techniques you can add to your Twitter marketing strategies so you can get more people to follow you on Twitter.

    1. First, follow everyone else. Seek out interesting people by going through as many user profiles as you can. Then follow each one. This is a pure numbers game: the more people you follow, the higher the number of followers you will generate when they follow you back. For example, if you follow a thousand cool people, chances are half of them will follow you right back. That's 500 free and instant followers you can get simply by trying this out.

    2. Go heavy on the "RT." Retweeting as many messages as you can from your friends makes them happy, and if any of your followers find the information you retweeted interesting, they'll be pleased you shared the information and they'll thank you for that.

    3. Tweet about anything and everything. No one wants to follow a dormant account, and you certainly won't be able to get your marketing strategies off the ground if you don't use Twitter to your advantage. This technique is particularly effective when you happen across something interesting that begins to unfold in front of you. Then Twitter becomes a platform for delivering as-it-happens accounts of interesting events. If you're at a trade show, for example, think of how many people will benefit when you share what you're experiencing first-hand.

    4. Twitter has a feature that lets you automatically send a message directly to your new follower. Take advantage of this feature to welcome people into your community. But more importantly, use it as part of your marketing strategies to push your brand out to the prospects by providing basic information and links back to your web resources.

    5. Link to your other social networking accounts. When you create your user profile on Twitter, it allows you to post links to other sites. Link back to your other social media accounts and let the power of social networking gain momentum and do its magic.

    6. Ask and you shall receive; so go ahead and ask all your friends to follow you on Twitter. Of all the marketing strategies on Twitter this is the simplest and most straightforward. It's also a game of numbers: if you have 500 friends and you've been really nice to them, chances are you'll end up with 300 - 400 new followers.

    7. One final addition to your Twitter marketing strategies: use all 140 characters. Unless being terse serves some particular purpose, it would be best to provide your followers with as much information as possible.

One of the best marketing strategies that a business can utilize is using a viral video to help promote their company. Video sharing has been the craze the past few years and people have established the habit of sharing videos that really catch their eye. This is something that businesses have definitely noticed and have been able to use for marketing purposes but only a few have been able to master the art form. One of the best examples would have to be Old Spice as they truly caught the audience's attention and was able to perfect their viral video marketing strategies.

Viral Video Marketing Strategies - Comedy Is Key

When it comes to viral video marketing, comedy is what will make people share the video. However, this can be tougher than expected as you will not be taking the normal route that a filmmaker would take. Comedy for a short film will normally just come with a punchline or a very clever idea. Old Spice used a very "random" approach and it paid off really well as they used a very likable actor as the leading role. If you are serious about being able to market your company well, creating an extremely hilarious viral video would do the trick.

Viral Video Marketing Strategies - Shock Factor

Essentially, it is the shock that you give the audience and it doesn't necessarily have to be comedy. Things that make people think will surely be passed along and you simply just have to have the people talking. If you make a controversial video, make sure that it would be intriguing enough to have people watch and discuss the video so that people will share it. If you are able to shock people without having to use anything too extreme, you will definitely be one step closer to being able to create a viral video.

Viral Video Marketing Strategies - Stay Creative

Make sure that you are being as creative as possible and to use a team of collaborators. It can be very hard to create a legit viral video all on your own as you will need several minds to put together a clever idea. The video needs to be quick and straight to the point so that you will be able to get your point across quickly. Most marketing strategies have now used viral videos but very few actually succeed. Avoid the common cliches that a lot of viral videos create and learn how to create your own style.

Overall, viral videos will simply just be luck and though some videos will get millions of views and some will just get thousands, it will all be based on your comedy, shock factor and overall creativity. If you are serious about being able to create a very good viral video, make sure you also create a decent team of creative minds so that the process will be much easier. Take your time and you will definitely be able to create a viral video that will help jump start your company.

With all the emphasis on social media sites and keeping up with the latest developments in Internet marketing, you might make the mistake of forgetting the fundamentals like email marketing campaigns. If so, you'd be making a big mistake because marketing to potential customers through email is still one of the most powerful strategies you can follow to grow your online business.

Here are our top 5 tips for creating email marketing campaigns:

    1. Don't overdo the sales messages. Many people make the mistake of bombarding their potential customers with sales messages each and every day. After all, this form of marketing is a powerful way to bring in additional revenue to your business, so why not take advantage of it and try to make as many sales as possible while the kettle is hot so to speak? Well, the problem is that people will simply be turned off and unsubscribe from your list forever. Learn how to market your products with so-called "soft sell" messages at the bottom of your emails. You can also include additional sales messages periodically, of course. Just remember not to overdo it.

    2. Remember to provide valuable content in your emails. With so much competition online, you need to make sure that your business stands out through your email campaigns. Providing helpful information will make your business more credible, and your subscribers will be more likely to buy from you instead of going to another website that has nothing but sales letters. Provide helpful information and you can even end up getting word-of-mouth traffic (which means additional subscribers and revenue).

    3. Try to develop a complete backend sales model. Instead of focusing on a single product, you can develop an entire sales funnel which you can gradually offer to your subscribers. Again, you have to learn the subtle art of email marketing, but if you do everything right your subscribers will actually be interested in the products you have to offer. You can develop multiple products for sale at different price points, along with offering membership sites or other continuity programs and affiliate products.

    4. Invite other authors to write for your campaigns. If you're having trouble keeping up with regular emails, why not invite experts in your industry to write a nice article for your email lists in exchange for a little exposure? If you're worried about having people visit other websites, you shouldn't be. Once again, having guest writers will add credibility to your overall marketing campaign, and you don't have to worry about giving a little exposure to someone else's website. Better yet, ask the writer if he has an affiliate program and include affiliate links in the article.

    5. Respond to your subscribers. This one might surprise you, and you may be a little resistant at first. However, I can tell you from first-hand experience that subscribers are extremely pleased when they can reply to your email messages and get a quick response from you within a couple of days. This may not be standard practice in the email marketing world, but it can make a huge difference for building loyal customers. You can even build a frequently asked questions database over time to reduce your workload when answering customer emails.

In a struggling economy, many businesses have had to make cutbacks; money for marketing is often the first area to be downsized. Businesses have to tightening their budgets to stay afloat, however they still have to advertise to draw in new clients. Many businesses are turning vehicle wrapping to advertise their products and services. It is a creative and innovative way to advertise your products and services.

Vehicle wrapping is fast becoming an excellent resource for advertising. Vehicle wrapping is when an ad for your company is designed out of a thin cast film. It is then applied to vinyl and it is literally wrapped around the vehicle of your choice; making it a mobile billboard for your business.

You see it everyday in cities across the country and across the world; buses, taxicabs and other forms of public transportation are used for vehicle wrapping. Spectator Sports such as Nascar, where large groups of people gather are an excellent venue for vehicle wrapping:

There are many benefits to vehicle wrapping; perhaps the biggest is that you reach more then just your target market. Sporting events, especially Nascar, draw millions of spectators both in the stands and on television. By broadcasting your message with vehicle wrapping, you can enhance the your exposure throughout the country and even the world.

Another advantage to vehicle wrapping is that you do not have any other ads to contend with; unlike print ads, your ad will stand-alone when you wrap a vehicle and will stand out when the vehicle is in motion.

Vehicle wrapping is cost effective; when you compare the rates of print ads to vehicle wrapping, you will find that the number of views between the two, vehicles wrapping is viewed up to fifty percent more then print ads because it is not targeting one specific area.

When you use vehicle wrapping, you can create a custom design and add graphics to attract attention to your advertisement.

Vehicle wrapping of public transportation, you are building the image of your company; you are spreading your business name and increasing the visibility of your company.

Unlike painting, when you use vehicle wrapping there is never a worry about paint peeling or chipping so there is no maintenance. This is a major benefit in area's where the climate changes with the seasons.

Research has proven that people remember what they see on vehicle far more then any other type of media advertising.

In recent years, creative business owners have began using personal vehicles for wrapping; creating magnets advertising their business and attaching them to vehicles is a relatively inexpensive way to create advertising. Some business will even pay their employees to apply these magnets to their vehicles.

Studies have shown that ninety six percent of Americans either drive to work or are a passenger in a vehicle each week. This means that when you wrap a vehicle, especially in a large city, it will get thousands of views every week. This can potentially draw customers to your business.

Coupons have been used for over a hundred years; CW Post, one of the first cereal manufacturers, offered the first coupon that was introduced to consumers in 1895. They caught on very quickly and consumers have been using them ever since.

Every week, millions of people, both men and women clip coupons they receive in the Sunday newspaper. Using coupons can save consumers thousands of dollars on products they've purchased throughout the year. In a time when saving money is crucial to almost every consumer, coupon use had more than doubled.

A new craze has popped up called extreme couponing. This is when a consumer uses coupons for the majority of the items they purchase. The rate of users has gone up exponentially over the past few years.

As with the way of the world, someone had to make it 'bigger and better' and with consumers using the Internet more often for shopping, digital coupons were created. Digital coupons consist of either a coupon code to be used online or they can be printed to be used in retail stores.

Experts predict that over ninety six million consumers will use digital coupons in 2013 in the United States alone; in some instances, a consumers purchase hundreds of dollars in merchandise and by using the coupons they pay pennies for their overall purchase.

Digital coupon sites can be found all over the Internet; they are popping up in the 'inbox' of your email. These sites offer all the benefits of coupons without the hassle of spending half the day clipping them from the newspaper; they offer daily deals that you cannot find anywhere else. They also offer a larger selection of products however it is important to remember that as with paper coupons, digital coupons can be regional.

Retailer's benefit from digital coupons in a few different ways; if they have an online site, consumers can use them to make purchases, and if consumers are using the printable version, they are more likely to purchase additional items in the store that they do not have coupons for. It is a way for them to draw customers into their store.

Retailers also benefit when it comes to redeeming digital coupons. Almost every offers retailers a certain amount to redeem a coupon; in most cases it is eight cents per coupon. That might not seem like much, however if a retailer submits a coupon for a dollar, that retailer will receive one dollar and eight cents for the coupon. If a hundred coupons are submitted then the retailer receives the sum times the number of coupons submitted.

For small businesses, this may seem like it is not worth it; they have to hire someone to prepare and send the coupons out for redemption and they might get a few hundred dollars however if they track the return over a year's time, they will find that the return is significant.

Larger companies and national chains receive hundreds of thousands of dollars each year through coupon redemption.

Here are a few marketing tactics my marketing firm did to grow our business over the past 2-years and these tactics worked very well.

    PR:

A PR Strategy that worked well for my marketing firm, and helped us acquire several new clients, was offering 30-minute marketing brainstorming sessions for free and with no-obligation to hire us. Just call us, tell us about your business, and we will tell you strategies you can implement to better market your company and attract new customers. This strategy generated a flood of calls and several of the companies that called us decided to hire us to build marketing programs for them.

They way we got the word out about our brainstorming program was sending out a press release, sending an announcement to our marketing ezine, posting it on our blog, and posting it in a small business ezine. I believe our total cost for this campaign was about $1000. So, very affordable. We generated well over $25,000 in new business, so our ROI was outstanding.

A Viral Marketing Campaign using an ebook I wrote:

Here is how I launched my viral campaign and keep it alive:

    1. As my goal was to use my viral ebook to build a database of prospects and generate sales, the first thing I did was create a webpage with an email subscription form so people had to give me their name and email address to get my free ebook. Upon entering their name and email address, my ebook would automatically be emailed to them.

    2. Then, I wrote and distributed a press release announcing that I was giving away a free marketing plan outline and marketing strategy ebook. My cost for this was around $200.00 on prweb. This got my press releases posted on over 20 blogs and websites where their visitors could see they could download my ebook for free. I soon will be sending out another press release as doing this worked so well the first time.

    3. I setup a Google AdWords account and bid on search terms such as "marketing plan", "marketing plan outline", and several other terms. My cost per click was around 25 cents. This immediately got people to my website where they could download my ebook for free if they gave me their name and email address. Over the course of 2-years I have spent a couple thousand dollars doing this and it has worked incredibly well.

    4. I advertised my free ebook on my website, which I have number one search engine rankings for the terms marketing firm and marketing firms. This brings me a lot of targeted web traffic and people downloading my ebook.

    5. I advertised in a couple of small business ezines (electronic newsletters) that had tens of thousands of subscribers. Total cost for this was around $500.

Doing the above 5 items is what got my ebook into the hands of my target market. By telling them they can freely give away my ebook on their website and forward it to friends, family, colleagues, etc., viral marketing was launched as other people were doing my marketing for me.

Results of my viral campaign to date:

    1. My ebook has been downloaded countless times.

    2. Many websites offer my ebook as a free gift/resource to their visitors. This is viral marketing at its best - other people talking about and giving away my "viral offering" to others.

    3. I have built a database of prospects that I market to each month with my automated marketing newsletter.

    4. I get many of my clients from my marketing newsletter. My investment of about $4000 to date to market my free ebook has generated over $100,000 in sales in the past two years. So, although my example of viral marketing is a very small scale example, it is a very profitable example. Most viral campaigns are NOT profitable because the business is focusing on building brand instead of building a database of prospects and generating sales. In my opinion, spending money on branding alone and not on building a database of targeted prospects to sell to is throwing your money away.

If you dropped out of nursing training and started your career as a lowly bookkeeper in a pharmaceuticals factory – would you think that a global business empire was on the cards for you? That was indeed the extraordinarily 'ordinary' background that Florence Nightingale Graham, who founded the Elizabeth Arden line of skincare and cosmetics, came from. Born in Canada she dropped out of nursing college and went to work as a bookkeeper for the Squibb Pharmaceutical company in 1909. Less than 20 years later it was said that there were only 3 brand names that could be found in every corner of the globe; Singer Sewing Machines, Coca Cola and Elizabeth Arden Perfumes. An extraordinary achievement from such humble beginnings.

She formed friendships with some of the staff in the Squibb laboratories and used to spend a lot of her free time there. This was where she developed her interest in skin care, something in its early stages of development at that time. She is also believed to have worked part time as a 'treatment girl' for one of the early beauty care sales companies. The combination of knowledge about how such creams were formulated and then sold to customers seems to have shown her the path that eventually led to her worldwide chain of salons which only sold her own lines of skincare and cosmetics.

The next step saw her move to France – a brave thing for a young woman to do in those days and probably relatively expensive too. Having been born in Canada she did have the advantage of being able to speak French, but she must have found the local culture very different from what she had been used to in her youth. She studied hard and picked up all sorts of tips on beauty techniques and formulated a number of face lotions while there.

Returning to New York she took back a set of face powders she had created. In the USA at that time only stage entertainers used any kind of make up and so it was a radical idea that ordinary women would do something similar. The concept of 'makeovers' was new and exciting to ladies of leisure and she seemed to hit a seam of people who proved very warm to these new ideas. It was her partnership with Fabian Swanson that proved to provide the real acceleration of her business. Swanson was a skilled chemist and they developed a 'fluffy face cream' that was very different from the tubs of lard that were commonly available at the time. There was increased emphasis on scientific formulation and a lot of the storyline on products was built around that concept.

Building on this early success a whole range of products was developed. In came the idea of foundation creams and skin toners, all designed with matching cosmetics like nail varnishes, blushers and mascara. This was the mainstay of the company for many years. The introduction of the Elizabeth Arden perfumes ranges came MUCH later, it may have come from her exposure to French perfumes while working in France, but that is pure supposition.

At the peak of her career, she had a salon in New York, Washington, Boston, Chicago, Beverly Hills, San Francisco, Maine, Arizona, Phoenix, Southhampton, Surfside, Florida, Palm Beach, Philadelphia, Honolulu, Lima. Toronto, Montreal, Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore, Johannesburg, London, Paris, Zurich, Vienna, Milan, Rome, Cannes, Madrid, Brussels, Copenhagen, The Hague, London, Ontario, Cape Town, Nassau, Tulsa, Quebec City, and Biarritz. She launched all of them personally and she owned all of them except the one in Paris, which she gave to her sister.

Sadly Elizabeth Arden ignored all advice about preparing her estate for when she died. As a consequence her estate was heavily taxed when she died and even many of her personal effects had to be auctioned to help meet death duties.

Following the death of Elizabeth Arden the company has to some extent shifted its focus for new products towards ladies perfumes. The company's signature fragrance is called "Red Door" named after their day spas which are called "Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salons".

Their well known own brands are "Fifth Avenue", "Green Tea", "Provocative Woman" and their newest, "Mediterranean". A number of licence agreements have been signed with celebrities and fragrances developed for Britney Spears, Elizabeth Taylor and Mariah Carey.

Elizabeth Arden perfumes are available in most US Department stores and some perfume outlets but in the wholesale perfumes sector they tend to be less commonly available. Are these US perfumes superior to French perfumes? It's debatable, how DO you evaluate one smell against another?

What makes a fragrance more of a feminine one, than a masculine one? Leaving aside the packaging, what are the main distinguishing elements that make a new perfume or cologne seem more suited to one or other sex? Of course there are many that seem unisex, suitable for both sexes to use – some of the Calvin Klein fragrances spring to mind in that context. If you buy fragrances from a perfume outlet you clearly know what you are getting, but if you were blindfolded and led into a room with someone wearing a fragrance – could you correctly indentify if they were a man or a woman? It could be a good parlour game don't you think?

Just think back only 1 generation – would you have seen men trying out perfumes in stores? No, that would have seemed very odd. It is only since the 1990s that men have not been considered effeminate in being interested in such things – even men's skincare is not considered all that strange these days, though best not go to a football match wearing foundation cream eh? Purchasing ladies perfumes for a loved one is however an everyday matter for men now.

Those guys who DO still feel a little uncomfortable, standing in full view (usually right in the main entrance area of a store) can always try buying wholesale perfumes, but they really do still have to do their detective work to know which fragrance to buy through sources like that. A perfume outlet is usually a little more low-key than a Department Store, so that remains another alternative for sourcing French perfumes or similar.

Just how does a man choose a perfume for his loved one? This can be a tricky task, as men and women's skin types can be quite different, so what may smell pleasant on his skin may smell quite differently on her!

American brands like Elizabeth Arden perfumes and French brands like Coty perfumes, clearly target women, rather than men. However a brand like Giorgio Armani covers both sexes with men's fragrances like Armani Prive and City Glam – while the ladies have Acqua Di Gio, Emporio Armani and Emporio Remix to choose from.

Never make the mistake of trying fragrances using those small card strips that are used with testers. All perfumes require body heart to help release the fragrance into the air – that cannot be done with a lifeless piece of card. You can ask an assistant at a perfume outlet about what are the latest fragrances to be launched, what seems popular with a certain age group, but inevitably it all comes down to personal preference. Best just ask your girlfriend's best friend about what she likes – less room for error that way!

Now – about the price issues! Here's a question for you – do you know WHY when you enter a Department Store the very first counter you must pass by is typically fragrances? It's because these products have the highest profit margin and so the store manager wants to put them where every prospective customer must pass, on their way into the store. A perfume outlet is quite different, in that usually all it has to sell is products of that type. So now you know that there are big profits for vendors – bargain really hard to get yourself a great discounted deal.

If you are into making your own home cooked treats, you might do well to investigate into a candy making supply company that can fill all of your needs. There are a few reasons why this is important.

For starters, when you find an honest and reliable candy making supply firm you will immediately benefit by saving time. No longer will you have to search one place and then another and then another to find the components you need for your projects. This can save you literally hours of shopping time and can help you get your projects finished more quickly and more easily.

When you look for a candy making supply firm, spend some time exploring their inventory lists to see if they have the things you will need. Try to keep in mind not only the project that you may be working on at the time, but any future projects you may be involved with.

Also, as you investigate, consider the various holidays and special life events such as weddings, graduations, birthdays, and parties that you may have to provide for. Do they carry a wide selection of items to fit each of these areas? If not, you may want to go to another candy making supply retailer. As you know already, there is a lot of disappointment when you cannot find everything you need for a project. There is no need for that any longer. While it may be hard to find a one stop shop that carries everything you could need for any project, it is not impossible.

You also want to see if they have a variety of good quality ingredients for use with your projects. Do they carry the best chocolates? Do they carry the best flavoring oils?

Lastly, you want to see if they also carry the sundry items that often make a project a work of art. Things like gift boxes and gift wrappings. Accessory items such as lollipop sticks and bags should also be investigated. You want to know that they have all the items you may need so that you will not have to go hopping all over the Internet to find the components needed for your project.

A fantastic place to start is with Candy Plus at http://www.candyplus.net. Candy Plus features a huge selection of products and they offer them in many different themes, shapes, and sizes. They also carry the best ingredients to be found such a Callebaut chocolate and Lorann Oils. Their prices are very competitive and their shipping rates are more than fair. This article on Long-Range Phone Extender is devoted for the purpose of discussing the method of extending a phone, fax and internet (low-speed access) connection up to a distance of 10 to 200 km. A scenario: businessman-supplier is doing business supplying raw materials found only in a place where communication service is hard to establish. His business requires that he establish contact with his buyers to check on prices, etc. What is the most cost-effective solution in order to have access to communication- voice and data or fas/internet.

Consider also the case of a mother yearning to establish a home-based internet business. Home-based workers can take advantage long-range phone extender to work from the comfort of their homes like submitting articles or doing email marketing on-line. Basically, a home-based worker will need a broadband internet connection, but there are some type home-based business activities that can be served using phone extenders for internet access.

In cases where using Outdoor Long-Range WLAN and other wireless broadband technology is not a feasible communication option owing to terrain and distance from source (Pt A) to remote village (Pt B), an appropriate solution would be to use a Wireless Long-Range Phone Extender.

A Wireless Long-Range Phone Extender is a fixed-wireless radio equipment capable of extending or hauling a fixed-line (analog landline) dial tone wirelessly to very long-distances. For it to work, you will need a pair (two units) of radio called a base station radio and remote station. It is not the traditional two-way radio but its operation is very similar.

Long Range Phone Extender base and remote station units work in tandem. The only difference is that phone-extenders utilizes full-duplex function so that users in both ends can hear each other simultaneously while talking unlike a normal push-to-talk two radio. Just like two-way radios the phone extender's radio antenna must be elevated via an antenna tower.

The secret to its long-distance transmission capability is on its power output and frequency. Phone extenders use VHF and UHF frequency, the level capable of reaching very long-distance. The lower the frequency and the higher the power output, the higher will be the transmission range.

A phone extender with an output power of 25Watts can reach as much as 200Km on point-to-point communication. Added functionality is fax and modem compatibility such that you can receive fax messages and use dial-up internet access on the remote site.

Internet speed can reach up to 56Kbps or lower depending on the quality of the communication line. Some long-range phone equipment offers reliable data speed even beyond a distance of 100Km.

Wireless Long-Range Phone Extender is very ideal for remote islands, jungles, remote resorts and villages. It is widely used in remote places in the world owing to its reliability and simple operation. Big savings on long-distance call can be derived since you're using an extended local line. You can call such local area even if its 100 km away free at no extra long-distance charges.

In the case above, the businessman can save much on communication cost by having to call his buyer via an extended local phone with un-limited calling instead of using a service that charges per minute long-distance call.

Let's face it. Rural internet connectivity problem is a true and real concern for developing third-world countries. The same is also true even in developed countries particularly in far, remote rural villages. Sometimes access to communication is only via two-way radios. Other areas have telephone service but wanting even in dial-up internet access.

The biggest challenge therefore for an aspiring internet businessman or home-based internet worker in far remote villages is how to achieve rural internet connectivity. What should you do if you are in such a situation?

First, take an assessment of your local area and discuss with community members the possibility of bringing rural internet access to the village. In your assessment, take note of the number of household that are going to be benefited from your idea. Local businessmen and village leaders would certainly like the idea of introducing communication service. Make them understand the benefit/advantages of your proposal. Form yourselves into a group and create a committee to be tasked with planning and raising funds for this project. For sustainability, make it an income-generating project or enterprise to help defray maintenance cost.

If all is already in place. Identify and plan now how are you going to get a backhaul internet access. Backhaul is going to be your main communication link from your area to the nearest internet service provider.

Basically, since you are going to distribute the connection to several household or establishment in the area, you will need a dedicated internet access in the level of E1 (2048Kbps) or T1(1536Kbps).

However, for start-up purposes, consider getting a high-speed, high-bandwidth DSL connection (with CIR or Committed Information Rate) from the nearest ISP. Hauling or extending the internet connection (DSL) will require using an Ethernet (IP) Radio such as Wireless Bridge (WLAN). This will require planning if your place is in a remote area.

The easy solution would be to get an internet access service via satellite or VSAT. VSAT or Very Small Aperture Terminal has the advantage of delivering communication anywhere irregardless of the topography and location of the area. As long as it is covered with-in the foot prints of the satellite transponder. A big disadvantage with VSAT Link is its bandwidth limitation, service quality and cost of service. Further, it's not as reliable as a fixed line (cable) and terrestrial wireless broadband radios.

Another viable option would be to get your backhaul internet access from the nearest internet service provider. Perhaps, the nearest is from a city several miles away from your village. Certainly, a developed town or city near your area must have telephone and internet service. Your goal now is how to bring telephone and internet communication to your village. Aim also for the telephone service. You have the advantage of local calling at no extra long-distance charges if you can get local dial tone from the said telephone local exchange.

Next conduct a survey and note the topography by drawing a path line from your village going to that particular town or city. If the path is flat, with no mountainous obstruction in between, the greater the chance of signal reaching your village straight from the telco's exchange.

Negotiate with the local exchange operator the possibility of a joint-collaboration of your proposed communication project. Explain your objective and enlist their support for the project to materialize. Ask them if they could provide a solution package that would include them providing the radio equipment for the backhaul component. Some operator would agree to the idea especially if the project offer a good return on investment and assured monthly recurring revenue.

In such case, you already have achieved your goal of bringing rural internet to your village. As much as possible, locate your node in the center where it would be easy to re-distribute the service to the whole village. The node is where the service operator dropped-off the internet connection using the radio. From their, you need to re-broadcast the connection to the whole of the village.

The most cost-effective way is to re-distribute it using an outdoor, long-range WLAN (Wireless LAN) Access Point radio. Outdoor WLAN type of radio is ideal for Wireless ISP. This type of radio is robust, high-power, reliable, designed for outdoor operation and worst-weather conditions. You will need to purchase only one radio base station- Access Point (AP) and several Customer Premise Equipments (CPE). The AP serves as the master server and the CPE the receiver/slave to connect your place to the node. For greater flexibility we suggest buying a WiFi (Wireless Fidelity) Standard radio instead of proprietary technology.

Please note, if the internet provider will not provide the backhaul radio. As mentioned, a long-range, outdoor, wireless IP-Radio called Wireless Bridge (a type of WLAN) will be needed to haul the internet connection from the city to your village. WLAN is cost-effective and reliable. The advantages of using WiFi equipment is greater than using a proprietary technology.

A proprietary technology is a solution customized by a manufacturer using its own standards and not the common standards. WiFi is an approved standard and all products complying with the standards have compatibility and inter-operability irregardless of the maker. Latest advances in WiFi products have made it an ideal choice for WISP.

Long-Range Wireless LAN (WLAN) is a broadband technology. Combining it with VoIP and virtual IP-PBX technology, the extended dial tones from the operator's local exchange could now served as trunk line for a wireless local telephone exchange. Your once isolated village is now connected using cost-effective rural internet solution.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Understanding wireless and wireless LAN networking enable you to properly plan and design the effective deployment of wireless networks be it home-networking or using outdoor long-range WLAN for rural internet connectivity.

Wireless networking allows computers and peripherals to communicate using radio frequency (RF) transmissions rather than over conventional network cabling. Using wireless Ethernet adaptors, any device capable of being used on a regular computer network can be accessed over a wireless connection for task ranging from file and printer sharing to multimedia and internet access.

Wireless Ethernet Technology is outlined by a set of standards called IEEE 802.11. Although other wireless technologies and protocols exist, the term wireless is generally used in reference to the IEEE 802.11 standards.

The communication protocols for wireless networking are defined by the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEEE) 802.11 standard, which incorporates the 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g protocols (although other standards are in progress). The most widely used of these is 802.11b (Wireless-B), which is more reliable than the faster 802.11a (Wireless-A) standard, and is more cost-effective to produce and operate as well. Wireless-G or 802.11g, is a newer protocol that is becoming more widely adopted by vendors as it is capable of speeds up to 54Mbps rather than the 11Mbps of 802.11b devices.

It is no longer rare to find devices that support all three standards, but generally, Wireless-G is designed to be backwards compatible with Wireless-B devices. Thus Wireless-B and Wireless-A devices will not work with each other, and neither are they compatible with Wireless-G devices.

Some manufacturers offer models with dual-band (Wireless A & G/B) auto-switch mode for greater communication flexibility. Network planners can plan their network deployment by using a combination of Wireless-B,G or A.

Wireless 802.11 standard utilizes the license-free radio frequency bands around the 2.4GHz and/or 5GHz ranges. The 802.11b and 802.11g protocols use the 2.4GHz band whereas 802.11a uses the 5GHz band. Wireless-B is by far the most popular standard, with the newer Wireless-G (802.11g) and Wireless-A (802.11a) closing in fast.

Wi-FI or Wireless Fidelity is a certification program established by the Wi-Fi Alliance to ensure interoperability of wireless devices. Originally, the term Wi-Fi was intended to be interchangeable with 802.11b, but more recently it has broadened to cover any 802.11 network.

WLAN or Wireless Local Area Network, is a computer network –or part thereof- that incorporates wireless devices. In a WLAN network, a conventional LAN set-up can be extended to include wireless devices using an access point. Although wireless networks can be completely independent of conventional network, WLAN usually forms part of an existing wired network.

Wireless Transmission ranges vary greatly and lowering the bandwidth will increase the coverage area, a standard 802.11b or 802.11g device will typically have a range of about 30m indoor and up to 120m line-of-sight outdoors. The main reason for the variance between indoors and line-of-sight coverage is that walls and other objects do impede the wireless signal. Because wireless transmissions are actually low frequency radio waves, they will pass through walls and other solid matter relatively easy. As distance increases, the throughput decreases. This is because lower signal strength result in dropped packets and result in a general decrease in network efficiency.

Understanding the technology in wireless and wireless LAN/WAN networking allows the planner the flexibility of using wired and wireless networks. There are areas that wired networks can not go owing to distance, terrain or topography thus if the planner has knowledge on wireless LAN networking, the simpler, faster and easy it is to deploy an effective wireless network.

Understanding how wireless LAN works will also help you plan deployment of a rural wireless internet access service. Wireless LAN is a very cost-effective solution for much needed internet connectivity requirements in far, remote villages. WISP is a good and potential business in remote areas.

Either you use commercial "off-the-shelf" WLAN gadget, tweak and improve its performance by using higher-gain outdoor antenna or buy a true-outdoor long-range Wireless LAN. For assured network performance, service-quality and less network downtime, we recommend using the latter.

The goal is to reach people yearning to start their own home-based business even in remote regions thru cost-effective internet business and long-range wireless communication solutions.
