Numerology is the use of numbers and number combinations in divination. Numerology is often used as part of psychic readings. Each number corresponds to a meaning. Tarot readings are a method of foreseeing the future and gaining personal understanding, based upon a set of cards which have historical and symbolic meaning. Few things are more frustrating than visiting an eBay store and be presented only with a mile long list of items that one has to scroll through. It is very difficult to find items in a long list if you are looking for a particular type or genre of item.
What many eBay store owners do not seem to realize is that eBay buyers are not desperate to find and buy their particular items. There are so many auctions going on at any particular point in time, that the browser Back button is probably the most used function when browsing or searching for items.
The default sort order for the listing display in an eBay store is listing end time, with those auctions ending soonest displayed at the top. There are other listing sort orders available as well, but unfortunately none of those are necessarily very well suited for a store inventory display.
The primary means at your disposal to make it easier for an eBay buyer to find what he or she is looking for are the categories.
Think of the categories as virtual aisles in your store. You need to use those virtual aisles in your store to guide the buyer through the merchandise on offer.
The easier you make it for the buyer to find the desired item, the better the chances that the person will buy your item and not someone else's.
You know your merchandise best and know how you can slice and dice the types of merchandise into meaningful categories. However, do not limit a particular item to only one category. With an eBay store, you can list an item in two different store categories free of charge. Make full use of it.
An eBay buyer might miss an item while browsing one category but notice it in the second category. This is synonymous to putting cans of the same cream in both the dairy section and in the baking section of a groceries store.
You cannot predict all the uses that a buyer will have in mind for your merchandise, but you can at least cover off the most obvious ones. When a buyer visits your eBay store and sees the categories, they will first think of what they want to use the item for and see if there is a matching category.
You can have up to 300 different categories in your eBay store. Make full use of it to help your buyer easily find the item (or even similar item) they want to buy.
Generally, a person visits your store wanting to buy something, ie, with money in hand. It is a great loss when they leave your store because they couldn't find your item that is hidden amongst tens or hundreds of other items.

Clairaudience is a form of psychic ability that many people might claim to have. For those self-employed professionals who work on a freelance or contract basis, the IR35 rules have perhaps been a thorn in their side, complicating the landscape and making operating as a self-employed person less rewarding and more protracted than it might otherwise have been. To understand the legislation fully it makes sense to employ the services of a good local accountant who will not only make sure rules are complied with but also ensure taxation is applied fairly without overpayment.
When it was introduced as new legislation in 2000, the IR35 tax legislation was aimed at sealing a tax loophole or situation where contractors were able to pay less income tax and national insurance contributions than employed colleagues who were performing the same role. There were stories of staff being able to resign from full-time employment one day and return to work the next day as a freelance contractor earning much more money. Of course that was an over-simplified situation as the differences between freelance or contract arrangements and full-time staff roles are many, but it was the one used by the Treasury to justify the introduction of the system.
Now eleven years on the usefulness of the IR35 rules are being reviewed and there are at least two organisations suggesting IR35 should be suspended and then abolished. Shortly after David Cameron became Prime Minister in 2010, his government set up a new body to look into making the system of UK taxation more efficient. The Office of Tax Simplification (OTS) has recently been looking at IR35. This examination of the IR35 system is part of a wider review that the OTS is carrying out, looking at the way the current tax system causes complexity and uncertainty for small businesses. The organisation has produced an interim report to recommend priority areas for simplification. This review is important because the success of small businesses is vital to the economy and, as the recent OTS report confirms, 95% of UK businesses have fewer than 10 employees.
One group that welcomes the review of IR35 is the Professional Contractors Group (PCG), an organisation that was set up in advance of the introduction of IR35 back in 1999. Its original aim was to protest against the rules but despite a vocal campaign the IR35 legislation was introduced in April 2000. The PRC then took HMRC to a judicial review in March 2001, but the case was dismissed. Since that time the PRC has continued to exist and assist in IR35 case appeals and campaign for freelance workers on other matters.
The PRC recently gave its support to the review being carried out by the OTS and suggested that the latest release of the OTS report is effectively making a case for abolishing IR35 completely. Whether that happens remains to be seen, but it is clear that the current system is both difficult to administrate and does not raise the tax revenues many claimed it would prior to its introduction. The PRC claims figures of around 1.5 million pounds annually compared to the 200 million originally predicted.
The OTS review is also considering other structural changes to the tax system that could be introduced quickly to help small businesses. These include improved HMRC administration systems, simpler reporting requirements for expenses and employee benefits, simpler VAT systems for small businesses which trade internationally and improved capital allowances rules.
Helping self-employed individuals understand and work with IR35 rules is just one area where it makes sense to work with a local accountant who is familiar with assisting small businesses. Other areas where accountancy help is important for small businesses include VAT schemes, regulatory company filings, cash flow planning, accounting procedures and calculation of dividends.

If you've got nothing to say, goes the adage, wear a big hat. The same advice is also given to people who are unable or unwilling to fight. Either way, hats are being used as some sort of protection or diversion. But is this really all hats are useful for? Of course not. Hats can be anything from a bold statement to a way of keeping the wind off your ears; a slacker essential; a glamorous piece of wedding day headwear; or a cool, shady oasis away from a blazing sun.
Imagine the world of cinema without its iconic hat collection. Laurel, Hardy and Chaplin without their bowlers, for example. Unthinkable. They are probably the first thing most people will think about when they conjure up an image of these classic performers. And can you imagine The Sting without Newman and Redford sporting their 1930s headwear? But the darling of hat obsessives has to be Indiana Jones, who is rarely seen without his Fedora; at one point he even risks having his arm crushed by rescuing it from behind a dropping stone doorway with milliseconds to spare. (He should probably talk to someone about that.)
Female hat wearers might not get the same attention, but you can't ignore Queen Elizabeth II, who is never seen without a hat. And Ladies' Day at Royal Ascot is famous for its … let's say … tasteful hats. OK, so it's a struggle to think of many famous hats on the heads of females, but to be fair, they are far less likely to have a bald patch to conceal.
It's a bit of a mystery why hats for women don't seem to have the same cachet as men's. After all, a hat can be an immensely flattering item of clothing, and who can turn down something that means you don't have to bother doing your hair that day? Think of all the periods of feminine glamour, and you'll never be more than a hat pin away from some wonderful headwear.
The women of the 1930s, most notably the "flappers", had their amazing turban style hats, often jewel encrusted, or the stunning cloche hats, in which it's impossible not to look chic. Women's heads might have gone a little more au naturel in the 1940s and 1950s, except in formal situations, but then came the style revolution that was the 1960s, and headwear was back on the agenda. Interestingly, the era's hats did borrow a lot from the 1930s, with the cloche making a comeback, but they had a lot more competition this time round. Sixties hats could take the form of exaggerated sunhats, usually in a bright colour and worn with big sunglasses; or the smart cap could sit atop any look and enhance the vibe.
So although it might be difficult to associate any actual female characters with an iconic piece of headwear, the streets and dancehalls have been full of fine examples. And since these are styles that just keep coming back, the place to look for a selection of timeless hats could well be a vintage clothing store … even if you just want to keep your ears warm.

What is Shingles?
Shingles or Herpes zoster is a condition where a crop of blisters caused by the varicella zoster virus form a band across one side of the chest, abdomen or face.
What is the cause of shingles?
The same virus that causes chicken pox causes shingles. The chickenpox virus remains in a dormant state in certain nerve cells of the body from months to many years, and then reactivates, causing shingles.
This infection is due to a temporary decrease in the body's resistance, allowing the virus to start multiplying and to move along nerve fibres towards the skin.
Who are the People at risk of getting Shingles?
About 1 in 10 people who had chickenpox as children will develop shingles as adults.
The disease occurs
1. More often in older people (over 50 years old) because the immune response is believed to be weaker in older people.
2. Trauma or possibly stress may also contribute to an attack of shingles.
3. Weakened Immune system people like those with cancer, eg. Leukaemia, lymphoma, undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy for cancer, patients with organ transplants and taking drugs to ward off transplant rejection and patients with diseases that lowers the immune system eg. AIDS.
What are the symptoms of shingles?
The first symptom is a burning pain or tingling and extreme sensitivity in one area of the skin.
This may be present for one to three days before a red rash occurs.
A group of blisters then forms on a red base which looks like chicken pox lesions.
The blisters generally last for two to three weeks, during which time they accumulate pus and then crust over and begin to disappear.
The pain may last longer for a month or longer.
A slight discoloration or scarring of the skin is also possible.
How severe is the pain of Shingles?
The pain is usually severe enough for the doctor to prescribe painkillers.
A long-lasting painful complication of shingles called post-herpetic neuralgia occurs in some older patients.
This may last long after the shingles have healed.
For these people the slightest touch or contact with clothing can be unbearable.
Where do shingles appear on the body?
Shingles generally affect only one side of the body.
Most commonly, blisters will appear on the chest or abdomen, including the buttocks and genitalia, and even the face.
If the blisters involve the eye region, permanent eye damage can result. Your doctor will refer you immediately to an eye specialist when such a complication develops.
What are the complications of shingles?
Post-herpetic neuralgia, a condition in which either constant or episodic pain persists for a long time after the skin has healed.
About 50% of affected patients are over the age of 60 years.
The chronic pain is believed to be due the damage to nerve endings.
People who suffer this long-term pain may experience psychological sufferring such as depression, insomnia and weight loss.
Infection of the blisters by bacteria can also cause delayed healing of the skin.
Antibiotic treatment is needed.
If the shingles affects the forehead, sometimes inflammation of ophthalmic nerve of the eye may occur. It may cause severe pain in the eye and cause blindness. Damage to the cornea may also occur.
If the shingles affect the the ear, it may cause pain, tinnitus (buzzing sound in the ear), dizziness, loss of hearing or an increased risk of spread to the brain.
In patients with weakened immune systems, there may be high fever and spread of the disease all over the body.
Is shingles contagious?
Shingles is much less contagious than chicken pox. People with shingles can spread the virus if blisters are broken to someone who has never had chicken pox or who is already ill.
The people who are at risk include babies and those who already are ill such as cancer patients.
Does Shingles cause much scarring?
Shingles can result in scarring if the blisters are infected or if the patients have used toxic home remedies on the blisters.
Some Chinese physicians believe that a snake in the skin causes the disease and the head of the snake must be burned with chemicals in order to stop the snake from growing.
How is shingles treated?
In most cases Shingles clears on its own in a few weeks and seldom recurs.
Treatment consists of painkillers, as well as cool compresses to help dry the blisters. Antibiotics are given if there is bacterial infection
The antiviral drug, acyclovir, may be given especially for patients with eye involvement or who are very ill. It is useful only if it is started early in the disease.
The earlier it is taken after the disease begins the better the effect. The drug might prevent post-herpetic neuralgia.
Post-herpetic neuralgia can be treated with painkillers and high doses of tranquilisers at night.
