Ever since hybrid cars first burst on to the motoring scene, people have wondered how good they really are. Even today, when hybrid cars are better known, it seems a long way off until they are a common sight on our roads, with more hybrid cars being driven than traditional gasoline driven ones. The makers of the upcoming hybrid cars are determined to show off the advantages that modern technology can offer us. Motor companies as well known as Toyota and Ford are competing to produce the best upcoming hybrid cars on the market.

The upcoming hybrid cars promise to be even better than the ones that are already available. Hybrid cars are designed with the environment in mind, and the savvy car companies know that the highest prizes will go to those companies that can design an outstanding car that is easy on the consumer's pocket as well as the world around us. Car manufacturers are investing untold amounts of money on the creation of new and upcoming hybrid cars. With the advent of the totally electric car still on the distant horizon, motor companies are currently competing to make sure their own hybrid cars produce the lowest amount of emissions possible.

This is the area that is most important in upcoming hybrid cars. CO2 emissions are extremely damaging to the atmosphere and the world around us. Reducing the level of these emissions is a huge task, but it's a task that car manufacturers are taking on with enthusiasm. This year's upcoming hybrid cars include some offerings from Saab, who boast that their hybrid cars have not only significantly reduced these damaging emissions; on occasion they have eliminated them entirely.

That is a strong statement to make, and it has raised the bar for all other upcoming hybrid cars. Just imagine a world in which every car is a hybrid, and not a single one releases any damaging emissions into the atmosphere at all. Until then, the chief aim of all hybrids is to generate significantly less emissions, and to become more accessible to more people worldwide. Make no mistake, these cars are slowly integrating themselves into popular consciousness, and as time goes by they will become more affordable and more easily thought of as a potential new car for the average person. Perhaps it's almost time to wave goodbye to the internal combustion engine altogether.

In the market today, there are four main types of hybrid car: the micro, the mild, the full (also known as parallels) and the series (also known as serial or range extender).

Micro Hybrid Car have electric motors which have no driving power. In micro hybrids, the electric motors supply functions like managing the engine to stop and start, auxiliary power and regenerative braking to charge the battery. This hybrid saves five to fifteen percent on fuel.

Mild Hybrid Cars move from stationary only if the internal combustion engine is engaged. They also make use of the electric motor to assist the gas engine when additional power is required. The systems also support features like start and stop, and regenerative breaking.

The Series Hybrids are electric cars with assistance from a small ICE (internal combustion engine). In these cars only the electric motor propels the vehicle. The engine drives an alternator. This alternator creates electricity which either flows to a battery for storage or it flows to the electric motor. If the car is running on batteries alone, the engine will turn on when they empty to a particular level and starts to recharge them. Advanced series hybrids are known as Fuel Cell Vehicles, when a separate power source produces the electricity that drives the motor, or alternatively it is deposited for later use.

The full hybrid car can be driven by the electric motor or the engine separately or together. This is different to the micro and mild hybrids. This capability allows the driver to start driving the car using just the electric motor. The diesel engine and the electric motor provide different power levels. Full hybrids are also called parallel hybrids for the reason that the electric motor and the engine are joined in parallel to the same transmission. Full hybrids are likely to be more expensive because they require a more powerful motor and battery system

In the next few years, a lot of the work done with hybrids in the vehicle market will be performed with mostly with mild and full types of hybrid cars. The definitive capabilities of the vehicle depends on many factors, including the strength and quality of the eclectic motor, the battery capabilities, the quality of the engine and the efficiency and the type of the fuel engine.

With all the hype out right now about hybrid cars, you may be considering buying one. Before you do, you should consider the pros and cons of hybrid cars. What benefits can you expect to experience and what difficulties should you plan to face? Fuel Savings The first thing that comes to mind for most people when considering the pros and cons of hybrid cars is the possibility of saving money on fuel. With fuel efficiency between 30 and 60 mpg, this is definitely a consideration, particularly as fuel costs start to rise. Unfortunately, one of the downsides is that hybrid cars cost significantly more than non-hybrids. Some of this cost is offset by the fuel savings but, at current fuel costs, it is very difficult to make up the initial cost difference. Whether you think this is an issue depends upon what you think will happen to fuel costs over the life of the car. If they will steadily rise, eventually you may save enough to make up the price differential. If you think they will level out, then it will be nearly impossible and you will need to resign yourself to the fact that this is a more expensive car.

Because hybrid cars are still relatively new and rare, the maintenance costs on them are a little bit higher than they are on non-hybrid cars. Parts cost more, service may be more difficult to find, and they are even harder than regular cars to service yourself. This additional cost should be factored into the price discussion.

Status can be considered among both the pros and cons of hybrid cars. In one sense, having a hybrid car gives you a reputation for being a person of substance, which may help you in your networking efforts. In another sense, these cars are generally less frilly and fancy than their non-hybrid counterparts. You won't find hybrid luxury or sports cars; they tend to be much more practical vehicles. Whether you consider this to be a positive or a negative will depend upon your personality, values, and career path.

Some of the pros and cons of hybrid cars may be more important to you than others; depending on your values, career, and economic situation, certain of the pros and cons of hybrid cars discussed below may weigh more heavily on your decision making. After considering the pros and cons of hybrid cars, you should sit down and weigh how they affect your decision. Do you still want a hybrid car?

Despite their growing popularity, there are some problems with hybrid cars that manufacturers need to overcome to gain a wider acceptance. While the technology is in place for seamless transfer of power from the electric motor to gasoline engine, the low power perceptions of hybrid energy vehicles remains one of the biggest problems with hybrid cars. Coupled with spotty service availability and warranty information, tales of horror from some of the first HEV owners may make decision-making tough for some potential buyers.

One of the biggest problems with hybrid cars that many people have is the reported gas mileage of 50 to 60 miles per hour. While gas consumption of all gas powered cars is determined by tests conducted to standards established by the Environmental Protection Agency, virtually no car lives up the to results of the tests when used in real life under every day driving conditions. With hybrid vehicles, the gas mileages becomes even more of an issue with drivers who spend more time of the freeway than in city driving conditions, under which the problems with hybrid cars' gas mileage seem to disappear. When driven in stop and go traffic at low speeds, most hybrids operate mostly from battery power, using the gas engine to maintain the battery charge, vastly improving a car's mileage.

Once people understand the concept of hybrid vehicles and how their use in city driving saves more money, the lack of numerous service opportunities may raise their hackles. Many of the oil change businesses are reluctant to perform this simple maintenance procedure on hybrids. Strict specifications have them turning the business away and many people consider the problems with hybrid cars as having to take them to the dealer to have any service work performed. The batteries, large units usually hidden in the rear of the vehicle can overheat and give off an unpleasant aroma under certain conditions. The feeling that the batteries will be expensive to replace and could possibly start a fire or create an explosion, is one of the problems with hybrid cars that manufacturers have to deal with. Real or not, it is the perception of the potential consumer that makes the choice.

The idea of using less gas is attractive to many people, especially when the price of gas goes through the roof. However, gas tanks in many hybrid vehicles are smaller than in most cars, about 10-gallon, and even with better gas mileage stopping frequently for gas may give the perception the vehicle's mileage is worse than it really is. This is one of problems with hybrid cars that only the owner, by tracking their gas usage, can overcome, but one they discuss with others.

A web directory is a type of database containing links to other web sites. A web directory is not the same as a search engine, because a search engine lists websites according to a search performed on different keywords. A web directory organizes its sites according to various categories and subcategories.

There are many different web directories on the Internet providing a listing of links to various places on the Internet.

What makes a quality directory? You can tell a quality directory by looking for some of the following simple characteristics.

Make sure that the directory is well organized. Just throwing a set of links on a webpage isn't enough to classify as a web directory. Categories need to be well thought out. The directory needs to be easy to navigate and have similar categories that need to be grouped together.

The directory needs to be updated frequently with any bad links marked and removed. Keeping the directory up to date and will keep traffic returning.

Keywords are another vital element. Using keywords properly is an important part of a great web directory. Just pasting in a web address for each listing will not do justice to the listing. Choose either the business or site main name or even the type of product, but make sure it is unique.

These qualities together will help you separate the quality directories. The website directory that contains all of these characteristics together is of higher quality and that is the web directory you want. A directory like this can drive traffic and page strength to your site.

To add your site to a web directory, pick a category for your site based on the overall content of your site. Not just the homepage. Then go to that category within the web directory and select the submit button. A simple form will come up for you to fill out and submit.

It is important to realize that not all directories are the same. There are a few directories of very high quality on the internet and many thousands of poor quality. By choosing a high quality directory you will achieve the results you are looking for.

To the contrary belief of certain persons, seeds and seedlings have many ways of being useful to bonsai enthusiast. Ill elaborate on a few of them.

Seeds are of many uses and the first one them is to have a tree to develop into a bonsai plant. Pretty obvious, no? But other then growing a future bonsai tree, what could you do with tree seeds?

Another use for seeds is the potential to develop a new cultivar. Every seeds are a different gene pool then its parents. This is why; some say a cultivar can only be reproduce by cuttings. This is true. But from a seed can come an even better cultivar. I like to think of it as the lottery. I usually sow around thirty seeds of the desired species. Average germination rate of tree seeds is 75%. So 75% of 30 seeds is around 22. A month after sowing, I usually get 22 seedlings. From these 22, I will prick out the weakest and nurture the strongest. After a few weeks of growth im usually able to distinguish the fastest grower (which is very interesting) but im also able to find the ones that grow compact with short internodes. I then select the 10 best seedlings and bonsai plant candidate to be moved to their individual pot. I called this method discriminative growing. This leaves me with excellent bonsai stock, which I can then propagate via cuttings.

A third uses for seeds/seedlings, is to grow many thin seedlings that we will use for a graft later. You could either graft some roots to accentuate your nebari or even graft a branch. We all have looked at a bonsai tree and wished that a bud would break at a very specific point. Well you could do it with a graft from side to side.

I also have seen some people who will do a root over rock bonsai tree by using many tree seedlings that they wrap around a rock then join the seedlings together over the rock. Roots and seedlings will eventually fuse with the rock, but seedlings will eventually fuse together on top of the rock.

One other thing that I find seeds useful for is that they can be a source of uncommon species pretty cheaply and easily. If you don't have access to a certain species of tree in your area, you could always buy some seeds of your desired species and grow them. Shipping tree's can be tricky and cost a lot. Seeds are easily ship around the world.

Bankruptcy is the legal means of wiping out debt. It may seem like a simple solution when you get in over your head in debt. Bankruptcy, though, should not be taken lightly. There are many repercussions of filing bankruptcy.

Before you file bankruptcy you should have a good understanding of the process and what to expect after you have competed filing.

Bankruptcy is meant to give a person a fresh start by relieving debt. A person can file bankruptcy for most debts they have incurred. Some debts can not be cleared through bankruptcy, though. It is very important for a person to check each of their debts to see if they can be cleared through filing.

During a bankruptcy proceeding a person has to make attempts to pay what they can. Most assets and cash on hand is seized and used to pay off the debts. There are some assets which are exempt and can not be used to pay off debts. Once a person starts bankruptcy proceedings creditors can no longer attempt to collect debts from them.

Bankruptcy is filed in a US Bankruptcy Court. There are six types of bankruptcy. Only a few of these apply to an individual. Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies are the most commonly filed by individuals.

Under Chapter 13 a repayment plan is set up instead of assets being seized. The exempt assets list varies from state to state, so a person should check their states bankruptcy laws to see what assets they will not have to surrender.

The Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 changed how individuals file bankruptcy. The aim of this act is to prevent people from using bankruptcy as a way to get out of debt and instead use alternatives to help them get out of debt.

It bases the idea of paying back debts on a person income. If a person has the ability to payback their debts then they are required to do so. It also requires credit counselling to help ensure a person does not end up with debt problems in the future.

Perhaps the most important point for a person to understand about bankruptcy is that it is not just an easy method to clear debts. When a person files for bankruptcy the creditors are not just going to walk away. The court will try to ensure that every step is taken to pay back as much debt as possible.

The court will force a person to sell their assets, like their vehicle, to pay off the debts. Bankruptcy is more about protecting the individual from having creditors harass them or attempt to collect debts. Once a debt is cleared through bankruptcy, the creditor can not attempt to collect on the debt ever again.

Each month you and possibly your spouse bring home a certain amount of income. Each month a certain amount of that income goes out to pay for things such as living expenses and debt repayment. If your debts and living expenses are becoming more than your income each month, you have quite a bit of stress to deal with in the wondering of how you'll possibly make ends meet each month. That question that seems to have no answer when you think about what you owe as opposed to what you make has an easy answer in the form of a debt consolidation loan online.

The advantage of using the internet to obtain your consolidation loan is many. When you choose to get your debt consolidation loan online, you have the ability to research each bank that you consider by going to their website and getting the necessary information. You will be able to find out what interest rate each bank is charging and go with the one that is charging least. You will also be able to find out what terms are included in debt consolidation loans online. You will be able to apply and get a response via the internet. In this way, you don't have to worry about outsiders being worried about you. They do not have to know your business.

Once you have made your choice, you will apply for your debt consolidation loan online and a loan officer will contact you through either the phone of internet to discuss the terms and be sure that you understand them. Shortly after you've signed the necessary documents, which can also be done over the internet with an electronic signature, you will either receive your check or your balances will be paid by the lender and you'll receive a check for any amount that's left which you can use however you choose. You will then receive one monthly bill which can be set up to be sent through regular mail or it can be done electronically and it can even be debited automatically each month from your account.

With the payment that you've agreed to, you should now see your income as something positive rather than something that is already spent. No longer will you have to see in how many ways you can stretch that bi-weekly paycheck. You will have enough to pay for that, your new loan amount, and your other monthly expenses. As long as you don't fall back into the credit card trap, you should no longer have to look at it as making ends meet. You should now consider what you can put away in savings because you never know when you're going to need it.

A debt consolidation loan online is the answer to making ends meet. There will be extra monies available each month to do other things with like make repairs to your home or vehicle, plan a vacation, or simply save for a rainy day. If you dread the idea of air travel because of air sickness and/or jetlag, there are a few precautions you can take to prevent both.

    Air Sickness

Generally, air sickness is at its worst on take off and landing. This is due to the steep attitude of the aeroplane, the sudden increase or decrease in speed and height and the fact that the ground is visible and seems to be rushing past. The difference between what one sees and what the "balance" area of the ears is telling one causes the brain to become confused. The sickness can be a physical or psychological reaction to all of this, the latter being caused more by fear than by an actual physical reaction to the conflicting signals being received by the body.

Normally airsickness manifests itself in a feeling of nausea, which may or may not result in actual sickness, as well as sweating, digestive disturbance and the need to swallow much more than normal.

Even pilots and other aircrew suffer from air sickness, which obviously can prevent them from doing their jobs effectively. As a result, studies were made into the problem and the following means of avoiding air sickness were devised.

    1. Stress or fear can cause air sickness because an already emotionally disturbed brain has even more difficultly interpreting the conflicting signals from eyes and ears. So try to relax, don't get stressed and if you already have a fear of flying, take a mild sedative an hour before take off is scheduled.

    2. A full stomach can contribute to air sickness, so eat and drink sparingly before getting on the 'plane.

    3. Once on board, even when the seat belt signs have been turned off, remain in your seat if possible. If your balance is impaired, any sudden motion of the aircraft is likely to cause sickness.

    4. Take anti-air sickness tablets in accordance with the instructions on the box or use the special wristbands on sale in many airport terminals, which are said to have a beneficial effect.

    5. Try not to think about air sickness because the more you do, the more you are likely to feel sick. Concentrate on a book or film or get some sleep and you'll soon find that you've forgotten about feeling sick.

    Jet Lag

Jet lag can be a curse for people who need to travel extensively for their work because sleep patterns become disturbed and business meetings or training sessions become a real test of endurance.

Jet lag really occurs when ones body clock is confused and symptoms include sleeplessness, tiredness, lack of concentration, headaches and a general feeling of disorientation.

Jet lag is usually at its worst when crossing several time zones particularly in an easterly direction, for example from London to Los Angeles. In this instance, say departure from London is 11:00am and the flight is eleven hours long, arrival in Los Angeles will be 2:00pm, whereas ones body clock will think it's 10 o'clock at night and time for bed.

Once again, jet lag can be somewhat psychological. If one is determined to feel jet lagged, then one will! There are a few tricks which help to overcome this problem.

When flying east, get as much sleep as possible. Have a couple of drinks, a meal and relax as if you were having a siesta. Thus when you arrive, you will feel refreshed and better able to last out until a sensible bed time.

Change your watch to the time at your destination; this will help avoid disorientation.

On arrival, try to get some fresh air, have an evening meal at the time you would normally have one (local time) and try not to go to bed before you normally would, say 10:00pm.

Alternatively, if you have been unable to sleep on the 'plane, have a couple of hours sleep at your destination but set an alarm clock so that you don't have too long, which will prevent you sleeping later. Once again, dine and go to bed at your normal time.

If you're traveling for a particularly important event, then it may be best to arrive a couple of days early in order to acclimatise.

Traveling west is much easier as the time at your destination will be ahead of where you started so acclimatisation is not so hard and bed time will arrive that much sooner!

Today in our fast moving world many of us are having trouble trying to keep up; we are often looking for ways to leverage our time. People use various devices and services to try and help in all sorts of ways. It is not unusual for a household to use an ironing service and a dry cleaning service. Many people now have their food shopping delivered, People order many other household products online, such as clothes, DVD's, and books and have them delivered.

When we consider the huge amount of people involved in working for us, doing jobs that 100 years ago we would have done for ourselves it is astounding. We have people make our clothes, grow our food, do our ironing, deliver our shopping, paint our houses, clean our windows, mow our lawn and wash our car. Despite all of these people laboring for our benefit, sometimes we can still feel a little awkward about having our domestic cleaning done by somebody else.

One in Twenty households employs a domestic cleaning service. Spending on domestic cleaning services more than doubled between May 2000 and May 2007. The increase in two income households means that more people are prepared to outsource their domestic cleaning duties. But is hiring someone else to clean up after you ethical?

Women are busy! Especially when having to go to work and keep the house clean. But does that make it OK to hire people to clean up you're mess? Should you feel guilty about paying a domestic cleaning service? Because you can't be bothered to make time to clean yourself.

People overdo the moral virtue thing when it comes to domestic cleaning. People delude themselves into thinking they are the only people who should clean their home. I think there is little difference between the labor that goes into cleaning and the labor that creates a meal in a restaurant.

People hiring a domestic cleaning agency are typically time poor. People generally don't want to spend four hours on a Saturday morning cleaning their home, they would much rather be relaxing, taking a walk or spending time with their family.

Many cleaner also relax with their families on a Saturday, They do not blame their employers for wanting to do the same. Many cleaners also choose that particular career because they want a flexible occupation that fits around the school run, or because they want certain days or times to work, that normal employment would not allow.

When you consider that cleaners working for agency's can often pick their own customers and work days, they pick the hours of their choice and are often working for themselves without a supervisor peering over their shoulders. Domestic cleaning jobs are far more desirable than many of the retail jobs available in the High Street today.

I am afraid I see no shame in hiring a cleaner to help with domestic chores; you are providing employment to somebody who wants that kind of job. Meanwhile you are focusing on working using your particular skill set.

If all women quit their jobs tomorrow to clean their own homes, thousands of semi skilled cleaners would be out of work, and a huge amount of the talent that is keeping this country ticking over would be wasted on cleaning floors.

You do you're job, and let those who have chosen to clean do theirs.

As with anything in life, those in the know will always get ahead. So when attempting to get ahead it is always about a search for knowledge. If you want to be a great driver and you have not driven before, you can learn by your mistakes or get tuition. Obviously getting driving tuition is recognized as the way to learn to drive quickly and hopefully without any accidents.

If the principle of learning from an expert proven in there field, is accepted in driving and many other daily activities such as swimming or learning a trade. Then why is it when it comes to making money online that people try to go it alone and learn by their mistakes. Often people will spend many hours and much more money than they can really afford trying to make money online, and this is the paradox brought on by the fact that people understand that you have to speculate to accumulate.

So I here you say what is the answer, well my friend the same as always. Find an expert in there field and learn from them. I know there are thousands of Guru's out there offering to teach you to make money online, and I know it can be confusing. However if you look in the forums and read some of the relevant blogs you will find some of the same names will crop up again and again. Once you have found a legitimate pro you can follow them as many will help you get on in joint venture type programs.

The best of these programs will teach you about which products are worth promoting online and which are not, and they will also teach you many ways to promote these products and which ways have become obsolete. Whatever you decide to promote to make money online and however you do it, starting on the right footing should save you time and money.

The dynamic home based entreprenuer is constantly on the lookout for anything and everything that can increase their profitability. This is as it should be. Any type of business which does not strive for excellence can soon expect to be overshadowed in our increasingly competative world by those that do.

Whether you are a home business veteran or are just starting out, you need to understand what home business systems can do for you. A good home business system could hold the key to increasing your competitiveness and ensuring your profitability in the years to come.

What is a home business system? Put simply, a home business system is a set-up which allows an entrepreneur to earn money from home in an efficient manner. There are a multitude of these systems available, and the one you choose will be directly related to what your interests are and to what you really want to do. The best home business systems will have a few things in common however. These characteristics will include:

Simplicity. A good home business system must be easy to understand. If it is too complex, it runs the risk of not working at all. An excellent system is simple, but it isn't simplistic. It must show clearly just how it can help the bottom line. In other words, you should be able to see how you will be making your money, how fast you will be making your money, and what you can do to make more money.

Foresight. In other words, the home business system has a long-term strategy. In any business, complacency kills. When a company is no longer willing or able to innovate, it begins to lose market share. A good home business system provides for a dedicated program of research and development. It doesn't really matter what industry you are in. You might be in computers, or you might be in discount retailing. You still need to regularly come up with good ideas and implement them, if you are to have any long-term profitability.

There are two basic ways of acquiring a home business system. You can either create your own, or you can buy one. If you are starting your own home based business, you will most probably have to create one, and it will should cater to who you are as a person and what you want to accomplish. If you choose to franchise or act as a salesperson to someone else, you will probably use the system which they already have in place. In either case, it is important that you have a system to follow. It gives you direction and clarifies your goals. However, don't get so caught up in playing "by the rules" that you forget to inject your own personal brand on your work.

In short, every business needs a simply, yet dynamic system to enable it to move forward. Put this in place as you set up your business and you can help to ensure your home based business gets off to a flying start.

    Email Fight Club Rules

Follow these 10 common sense suggestions to avoid email trouble.

    1. Suspect Everyone: Most unsolicited email is harmless junk from someone just hoping to make a sale or generate a list. However, there are some unscrupulous players out there ( You know...the one with the rich uncle that just died in Nigeria) that are trying to scam you. Never reply to these unsolicited emails. Even "unsubscribe" will alert the senders that your email address is being used. If it looks to be of interest and they list a web site, type it into your browser to check it out.

    2. "Just Say No" to Porn: Nancy Reagan was right! You know where the bad stuff comes from, so filter it out. Messaging software filtering tools will reject mail from your frequent spammers' email addresses, or with certain words ("sex", "porn", or "free meds", for example) in the subject line. It's easy to set up. Just log on to your email, click on "settings" and follow the directions. Even I could figure this one out without asking my wife for help!

    3. Avoid SPAM - It's Nasty: Almost every Internet Service Provider has a spam blocker these days. If yours doesn't (you should probably switch), there are several good third party spam blocking services such as Brightmail (http://www.brightmail.com). I have several email accounts, and for kicks I note how much email gets tossed into the spam folder every day. Typically, it averages around 2500 - 3000 per account. I run a couple of Internet businesses, so that number is quite a bit above average for a single user. I do however, thank the geeks that developed spam blocking every day.

    4. Join Users Anonymous: Unless you are involved in Internet Commerce of some sort (and want as much exposure as possible), you should pull your listings from the large directory services. You probably never (knowingly) signed up in the first place, but chances are, your email address is included in some large data bases. Directories such as Bigfoot, Infospace, Switchboard, Yahoo People Search, and Who where are good about taking your listing down if you ask them to.

    5. Scramble Your Eggs: Encrypt and digitally sign all your sensitive email messages. This is a bit of a pain, but you only need to get burnt once to know how important it is. If your messaging software doesn't support robust encryption, you can download PGP Freeware encryption software at http://web.mit.edu/network/pgp.html. Leave it up to the geeks at MIT (No offense intended Matt). Most messaging systems have industry standard encryption capability. If you are like me, you probably just never cared to notice.

    6. Use Zip-Locks: Zip and Encrypt important attachments. Most modern computers come with WinZip installed. If you don't have it, you can find it at (http://www.winzip.com). Easy to use software that will compress and password protect your attachments.

    7. Don't Eat the Cookies: Cookies are trackers that remember your IP address. They are convenient for sites that you use often and don't want to go through the entire validation process. However, some evil-doers will send you email with a sort of "cookie collector" to snag your info. Problem here is you might already be a goner before you realize it's a bogus email (especially if you neglect suggestion 3). To avoid cookies sent via email, use email client software, such as Eudora Pro, that lets you shut off its automatic Web Browser rendering engine. This step is a little hard core for the average Joe, but those of you who need it know who you are.

    8. Mind Your Own Business: Avoid using your browser to read email on someone else's machine. If you are a busy body and insist on snooping, ALWAYS use "Clear History" when you finish to prevent subsequent users from getting into your mailbox.

    9. Never get "Personal" at work: Violation of this simple rule gets more people burned than any other act of defiance in the modern workplace. We had quite the network of great videos (You know the kind I mean) and jokes floating around the LAN on the last ship I sailed in...until one of the Server IT people showed me what they can spy on. Trust me--BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING! Never send sensitive personal messages on your work machine.

    10. Let Norton Cook: This is just so basic that you probably SHOULD be burned if you blow this one. Keep your anti virus software updated. I know it sucks when it is time to pay again; especially when you haven't had a problem for two years...but paying for those routine updates is probably why you haven't. If your hard drive fried today, would you pay someone 30 bucks to make it all better right this instant? Thought so--Update it!

And the # 1 Rule of Fight Club is...

...........NEVER EVER under any circumstances EVER EVER leave your email logged on and your desk unoccupied at work! If you do, you have no one to blame but yourself. A co-worker's open email account is fair game--and it's "Take no Prisoners" time!

Well, that's it. A few basic do's and don'ts that will keep you in the fight and keep you out of trouble.

There are several things to do after creating a website and the most important is to get targeted traffic. You have to register with traffic exchanges and then log in to earn "credits". You may be given one-half or 1 credit for browsing other websites for 20-30 seconds. At the same time you specify your own website and it is similarly displayed to other users on the same traffic exchanges. Every time your website is shown for 20-30 seconds you account will be deducted for one-half or 1 credit as the traffic exchange charges. Extra credits are also earned by referring more members or they may be purchased outright for cash.

Traffic exchange websites let you specify which types of websites you wish to view by selecting categories. Similarly you get to specify the category for your own website. This brings in targeted traffic, in other words it brings visitors who are already interested in the product category you specify. If you can make the website look good then there is a good chance that viewers will stay and even make a purchase.

Offer something for free in order to retain visitors. It may be an eBook, free report, an audio or a video clip. Traffic exchanges are not voluntary. Most members are there because they have no choice and every 20-30 seconds they see a different sales pitch. Offering something for free with no hint of selling is a good way to distinguish yourself.

Lead capturing is the next crucial step and you must have an autoresponder or similar mechanism to let people leave their email address so you may contact them later on. Attach your freebie to your lead capture system. Many e-mails sent by autoresponders are often caught by spam filters or placed on junk mail folders so it is recommended to choose an autoresponder company with a high email deliverability rate.

Make your website copy fresh and interesting because most traffic exchange surfers are suffering from advertisement overload. If it looks or reads the same it will just get ignored. Also you webpage should load quickly due to the fact that traffic exchange members will usually not spend than 10-30 seconds looking at it before the traffic exchange allows them to earn their traffic credit and proceed to the next site. For that reason, traffic exchange owners generally recommend the use of splash pages or squeeze pages.

Always prefer traffic exchanges that allow you to specify more than one website and advertisement option. Running multiple advertisements will significantly improve your chances of success. You can also compare different ads to see which works best.

Getting traffic to your website is only a part of your overall marketing strategy but it is the first and hence everything else depends on it. If you are a network marketer then you could be earning some money just referring new members to traffic exchange websites.

About The Author: Edward is the owner of http://www.traffficswarm.com where you can join one of the most popular traffic exchanges on the Internet. Over 300,000 members are already getting millions of targeted visitors every week. It really works!

Throughout history, a wide range of exciting celebrations has developed, and with them came a unique set of traditions regarding gift giving. Each culture, city or region has created a set of customs that occur when a party or special occasion get-together is held. One of the most commonly encountered items attached to a party includes the giving of favors, which are small tokens of appreciation presented to attendees. Depending on the party theme or event, the gift is often a keepsake that serves as a memento of the occasion, and is an especially popular gesture associated with weddings.

Although formal occasions are typically the most linked circumstances pertaining to party favors, history shows an array of events where favors were used. Hosts and hostesses of parties have exercised the option of providing guests with a variety of small presents that range in size, value, creativity, and meaning. Birthday parties, independence celebrations, new baby merriment, and Christmas bashes are all common events where party favors play an important role.

Party favors have evolved quite a ways from the historic gifts given at special occasions. In the past, most offerings were edible and didn't provide a personalized flair. During ancient times, they often served more the purpose of acknowledging the presence of guests and sending them off with a "thank you." Today, party favors for formal occasions, such as weddings, baby showers, and bridal parties are highly personalized, which further connects guests to their hosts and hostesses long after the event has passed.

The craftiness of party favors is filled with many different expressive forms of creativity. "It's a Boy" or "It's a Girl" cigars are passed out as favors to welcome the birth of a new child. Sometimes they are made from real tobacco while others are actually bubble gum in the shape of a cigar.

Party favors associated with the New Year or the 4th of July include momentary items that are used for a one-night celebration. Silly string, confetti, and streamers are often given to decorate homes or spread holiday cheer. During the festivities, balloons, party hats, noisemakers, and paper tubes that unroll when blown into are just some of the items given to party guests to enhance their celebratory mood.

Party favors are also given across a wide range of cultural celebrations, including Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, which involves the passing out of religious symbols to pay tribute to such a momentous occasion in a young Jewish boy or girl's life. Fun retirement party favors are often given as a gag worth a chuckle or two. Specialized favors are also created to celebrate milestones in age, such as a Sweet 16 birthday. "Over the Hill" themes often arise when friends and family finally hit their 30s, 40s, or 50s.

The giving of party favors is known to extend a hand that affects individuals of all ages. Smaller social gatherings, such as birthday celebrations for children usually hand out simple gift bags to guests, which are often filled with inexpensive toys and sweets. In this case, the party favors aren't meant to prolong the memory of the celebration, but is meant to send guests back home with a smile on their face.

    History of Wedding Favors

When tracing the history of the wedding favor, the act is recorded as early as the 16th century. Some of the very first items given as wedding favors were fruits, nuts, and biscuits, which were quite popular during ancient Roman times. It was also the purpose of favors at this time to help guests celebrate the occasion. Sometimes, cereal grains, which served as a sign of fertility, were given to participants to throw in the same manner that rice is thrown at weddings today. On a higher level, wealthy families in ancient Italian civilizations gave their guests incense and scarves made from silk. In England, the 16th and 17th centuries saw the romantic gesture of passing out "love knots," which were fashioned from ribbons and lace.

Where Did the Whole Jordan Almond Tradition Come From Anyway?

Have you ever attended a wedding and in some way, shape, or form; you are greeted by a dish or party favor filled with these common pastel-colored offerings? The tradition of giving tasty candy-coated almonds wrapped in an attractive arrangement actually spans hundreds of years. Various tales are attached to this practice, including the use of an odd number of almonds, such as five or seven, to encourage good luck.

The custom of giving five Jordan almonds is said to serve as a symbol for health, wealth, happiness, fertility, and long-life. In some cultures, highly decorated bags or boxes filled with sugared almonds were offered to guests instead of cutting a wedding cake. There is even a Greek legend that appears in the 77AD writings of Pliny who viewed the almond as a sign of youth, everlasting love, as well as the prevention for drunkenness, and was quoted as saying that five almonds given to party guests help to avoid unruliness.

    International Notions of Party Favors

The take on party favors has evolved over time as different resources and materials allowed gift giving to reach new heights of indulgence and competing appreciation. Some favor ideas have survived through centuries of progress, while others have developed in many different directions. For example, Malaysian party guests often return home with hand-painted, decorative eggs as party favors. In Russia, picture frames or sachets are quite popular. In France, holiday celebrations often involved "crackers." These intricately wrapped gifts when pulled at both ends, "popped" open to reveal a hidden gift, which could be a mask, tiara, plastic toy, or piece of paper highlighting jokes or words of wisdom.

Overall, no matter which way you look at it, a gift bag, party favor, or small present is usually expected when attending a get-together in today's society. The beauty of the process is that hosts and hostesses have a wealth of possibilities to consider, making this historic practice a highly personal adventure.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Despite the fact that the interviewee has the ability to influence the outcome of the interview, often they have difficulty making use of that ability. This is an outcome of being too self-critical and perhaps having low self-esteem. Some of the applicants fail to consider their own professional experience and their own personality with due respect. Instead of noticing their strengths they focus on their weaknesses.

When applicants respect themselves and consider their contribution at work valuable they usually find it easier to describe their professional achievements in an interview. However, if an applicant is too self-critical and therefore does not value their own achievements and effort, he/she will have a hard time convincing the interviewer.

Metaphorically, it is similar to a person that has a missing front tooth and during a conversation he tries to hide the fact by covering his mouth with his hand. This action draws attention to the fact that he is trying to conceal something and in effect highlights the fact that the tooth is missing rather than the opposite. In the same manner, a self-critical applicant will focus on trying to hide what he/she consider as their lack of achievement and will compromise their chances of creating a positive impression rather enhance them.

For example: a job applicant resigned from his last position due to a low salary. During the interview he is pre-occupied by what sort of impression his reason for quitting would make on the interviewer. Due to low self-esteem and being too self-critical he thinks that the interviewer may interpret this reason in a negative manner, when in fact this is a good enough reason as any.

As soon as the interview began and prior to being asked, he hastily mentioned the issue due to the stress he felt and the concern of what sort of impression that would make on the interviewer. Instead of talking about what he actually did and achieved in his last position he talked about the reasons for his resignation. The interviewer got the impression that the applicant was trying to make excuses and justify his actions. The impression made was one of insecurity and it stirred the interview in a different direction. The interviewer felt that the applicant felt uncomfortable with the reason for his resignation and decided to pursue the issue further despite the fact that the cause of resignation did not concern the interviewer to such a degree initially.

In his own words, the applicant managed to turn the cause of his resignation, which was reasonable to begin with, to a main issue in the interview and the interview turned sour. Rather than emphasizing his strengths, skills and achievements he exposed his weaknesses.

Mostly, being too self-critical and having low self esteem originate in our childhood and the manner we were brought up in. Experience shows that parents that continuously criticize their children's actions eventually assimilate such behavior and as adults these children often lack self esteem and become too self-critical. If you look around you will notice that criticism is prevalent everywhere – in television talk shows, in newspaper articles that focus on disasters, corruption and negative conduct. Even in social events very often people slander and tend to complain.

Criticism and low self-esteem affect the interview outcome in a negative manner.

    You have power and influence

Some of us think that in an interview situation the interviewer has the authority and the power and the interviewee is the weaker one. Yet, the truth of the matter is that the situation is quite different.

The interviewer controls the length of the interview, the questions asked and his/her own behavior, but the interviewer has no control over the outcome of the interview. The interviewer does not have in-depth prior knowledge about the job applicant, his/her past performance, his/her salient characteristics, is he/she a team player, etc.

Within the space of a few minutes the interviewer is required to assess a candidate and this is a complicated mission to accomplish. Hence, the notion that the interviewer has all the information, is aware of everything and controls the interview is misleading and untrue.

The interviewer has control only over:

    1. the questions asked

    2. the length of the interview

    3. their own behavior (including their attitude towards the interviewee).

As an interviewee you can determine and set:

    1. the content of your responses, what you choose to emphasize and what not to

    2. the tone of your voice and the pace at which you talk

    3. your progression – will you be optimistic, pessimistic or lack confidence?

    4. your appearance

    5. your attitude towards the interviewer

    6. the extent to which you are assertive

    7. your ability to focus on your positive and effective skills at work

You have the power to influence the outcome of the interview. Your behavior and your responses to the questions asked determine if you get that job or not.

Take advantage of the opportunity you are given and present yourself in a concise and professional manner. Avoid confrontation with the interviewer over issues that are beyond your control such as the type of questions asked, the interviewers' attitude towards you, whether the interviewer is nice or not. These elements are in the interviewers' hands and it is wrong for you to try and influence them.

People that do not view and treat themselves with respect and dignity will have a hard time making a positive impression in an interview. Learn, to respect yourself and what you have achieved – and this will evidently surface in any situation including an interview.

Remember! It is the interviewee, rather than the interviewer, that determines the outcome of an interview by choosing to behave in a certain manner and by the nature and content of his/her responses.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

    The hostile interviewer

We often anticipate the interviewer to be friendly and well mannered. However, there are occasions in which the interviewer turns out to be hostile, impatient, inconsiderate and even aggressive. This may be due to their lack of experience, being unprofessional or plainly because they have an unpleasant personal nature. An interview conducted by such a person may induce apprehension or even anger on the applicants' part. In addition it may even compromise their self confidence. The higher the sense of insecurity and sensitivity is on the applicants' part, the greater the negative effect it will have. This may manifest itself in unwillingness to cooperate with the interviewer and subsequently disqualify the applicant.

The job applicant may also think:

"If the interviewer is so hostile this may be indicative of the atmosphere at work and I have no wish to work with such colleagues or in such atmosphere"

This attitude is counter-productive. First and foremost it may inhibit the applicants' ability to effectively cope with the interview and second, the conclusion drawn may be wrong altogether. Perhaps the interviewers' behaviour is not indicative of anything – just of their own inappropriate behaviour and you may lose out on a wonderful opportunity. Moreover, perhaps the interviewer has deliberately acted in such a way to assess your ability to handle unpleasant situations.

Regardless of who the interviewer is you must always be well mannered and respond in a concise and professional manner. Your goal is to prove that even when you face an unpleasant interviewer you can face up to the challenge and be professional. If you have faith in your self, avoid trying to please the interviewer. Believe in your abilities and you will be able to cope with any interviewer. The interviewer will know that you are a person that is easy to get along with, a person that can withstand pressure and deal with unpleasant situations.

    The friendly interviewer

In some cases you will meet a friendly, calm and welcoming interviewer. This may come as a relief to some and may lead them to act enthusiastically and at times in a careless and perhaps unmeasured manner. Some may be voluntarily open to a degree in which they disclose information that is not necessarily required. The job applicant may think: "Since the interviewer is so friendly I have nothing to be concerned about, I presume they really like me and I can tell them anything".

Disclosing unnecessary information may be damaging and may even lead to disqualification.

For example: An applicant for a financial and administrative position is interviewed by an informal and friendly interviewer. She asks the applicant if in his current position in a financial and administrative position the bulk of the work is financial or administrative. Since the applicant feels comfortable he discloses the fact that most of the work he does is administrative by nature (even though there is a financial aspect to it). This kind of response has in effect compromised his chances of succeeding in the interview since the impression made is that he does not have the kind of experience they are looking for.

In fact, the applicant may have all the skills and experience required but since he decided to disclose all the information in an uncalculated manner he has made an unbalanced impression.

In most cases, a friendly and informal interviewer is an experienced one that 'seduces' the job applicant to act freely. Some applicants may feel overly comfortable in such situations and may disclose their weaknesses to an extent that may lead to their disqualification.

Important! We recommend you focus on giving a concise presentation of your professional abilities. There is no need to disclose unnecessary private information and/or weaknesses to reciprocate the interviewer for his good natured behavior.

Treat the interviewer in a professional manner

Instead of fearing the interviewer and subsequently undermining and diminishing your professional accomplishments, or behaving in a disrespectful or aggressive manner in the interview we recommend you learn how to be professional and practical.

Being able to act in a professional manner in an interview is important.

Heightened vulnerability and sensitivity may cause you to fail a work interview. A lot of people view the often personal nature of the questions as intrusive and as a result take offense or behave in a cynical, aggressive or introverted way towards the interviewer. By doing so, they expose their weakness and may cause themselves to fail the interview. Treating the interviewer in a professional and practical manner is the way to communicate well and deal positively with the interviewers' authority in an interview.

Prior to an interview it is important to change your attitude towards the interviewer and remember a number of facts:

    1. The interviewer is not trying to fail you but rather he/she are trying to assess your skills and abilities. If you truly believe in yourself you will have no difficulty facing the interviewer. This fact seems straight forward but research shows that over 90% of job applicants are concerned that the interviewer is trying to set traps for them. These concerns impede your ability to feel confident in an interview. Try to internalise – the interviewer is not trying to set traps or fail you he/she are only trying to assess your compatibility. The more you comprehend this fact the more your attitude will become professional.

    2. In most cases the interviewer is a professional that has the ability to assess if a candidate is compatible for a certain or position or not. Therefore, it is important and appropriate you treat them with respect. Some job applicants arrive at an interview already in a defensive and critical state of mind. These applicants may think that no interviewer has the ability to assess in the space of 20-30 minutes if a candidate is truly worthy. They may also think that the interviewer is not capable of spotting their true abilities and therefore if they are disqualified it is due to the interviewer's lack of ability. This is a misconception at heart. Mostly, the interviewer has probably interviewed tens if not hundreds of job applicants and has all the required skills to make a sound judgment regarding their abilities.

    Remember!

An interview is an opportunity for you to exhibit your qualifications and skills rather than an opportunity to engage in friendly conversation and gain sympathy. Just as there is no reason for you to be offended or defensive when meeting a hostile interviewer, you must not celebrate and 'let your guard down' when meeting a friendly and informal interviewer. In both cases you must be concise, well mannered and answer adequately to the questions asked – nothing more or less.

    Psychometric Tests

In the current job market, being invited to a job interview almost always entails taking psychometric tests. The two main elements in psychometric testing consist of – personality tests and aptitude (IQ) tests.

    Personality Tests

Personality tests are the most mystifying element of the selection process. Most people don't know much about them.

One of the main reason personality tests are used is that they provide insight that is often lacking in the interview process. One known weakness of the interview is that the interviewer's personal preferences can prevent him/her from having impartial judgment. Research has shown, for example, that physically attractive candidates have a better chance of succeeding in the interview compared to less attractive candidates. Unlike the interview, personality tests are both more objective and more resilient to the assessors' biases. This is a clear advantage for you, the test-taker. It means that you'll face the personality test without any judgmental bias from others.

    Bad Advice: "Just Be Yourself".

The worst advice you'll ever get before taking a personality test is,

"On the day of the test, just be yourself".

It assumes that if job candidates behave as they normally do during the job selection process, it will increase their chances of success. According to this philosophy, if you're generally a shy person you should be shy during the job interview and selection tests, and if you're impulsive by nature you should answer impulsively on the test.

Our day-to-day behavior is strongly influenced by the situation we're in. The nature of the situation influences our stress level, which in turn has an impact on our behavior. For example, you can be intolerant in one stressful situation but courteous in another. Which side of your personality do you want to show on the test?

Our experience at Job Test Prep, gained from preparing thousands of job applicants tells us that the recommendation to "just be your self" is potentially harmful. On the day of the test you should emphasize your strengths, not your weaknesses. A spontaneous "natural" response is not necessarily the best one, neither in life nor on a selection test. For example, if your boss has treated you rudely at work, telling him or her off would likely be a foolish mistake that might cost you your job. It's usually best to swallow the insult, cool down and approach the situation in a more rational manner later on.

The rule is the same during a selection test – do the smart thing and be calculated.

    Be honest but sensible.

Imagine that the personality test was a conversation with your boss: would you tell him/her everything about your personal life? The personality test is not the forum to mention hidden fears, doubts or occasional mood swings. In the personality test you should express honest, work-related behavior. Ultimately, that's the only thing the assessors are really interested in.

During the test you need to be calculated, focused and determined to do well. Be honest, but be sensible.

Learn, practice and familiarize your self with personality tests - the more you know the better your chances of success!

    Aptitude Tests

Aptitude tests fall into three broad skill categories: verbal, numerical and abstract (or diagrammatic). Additional skills are assessed in specific fields and for specific positions.

Can we develop our aptitude skills?

Some academics argue that it's impossible to prepare for abstract reasoning tests because they are based on innate abilities. This is not something that should be accepted at face value.

Your chances of doing well on any test increase if you:

    - are familiar with the test format and type of questions asked.

    - practice solving aptitude questions.

    - improve your verbal and numerical skills – your crystallized intelligence.

    - learn the key rules that underpin each test, and practice effective strategies for dealing with specific question types.

There are over a thousand different aptitude tests on the market. However, because there are only a few major publishers that develop these tests, while they may vary slightly in format and in appearance there is very little variation in the types of questions. When you prepare for these tests you should focus on the essence, format and type of questions on the test. It would be a waste of your precious time to concentrate on a specific set of questions. Even if you ended up taking the same test that you prepared for, the questions would likely be different and only the format the same.

You have the ability to improve your performance dramatically. Our experience at Job Test Prep has taught us that 80% of the people who practice thoroughly pass the selection process. On the other hand, only 15% of those who come unprepared complete the selection process successfully.

The key to success is in your hands. With enough practice, you should feel confident and relaxed on the day of the test.

One of the main factors causing apprehension in the job selection process is our fear of the interviewer's relative power in comparison to ours in an interview situation. Many job applicants see in the interviewer a powerful figure that has the ability to influence our future. The knowledge that the interviewer influences our chances of obtaining a sought after position, transforms him/her into a powerful and at times threatening figure. In addition, if the interviewer is also a trained psychologist our feelings of stress and concern increase even more. As a psychologist, we assume that the interviewer has the ability to spot our weaknesses and 'read our mind and soul' like an x-ray machine. This assumption often causes stress and creates an emotional reaction that jeopardizes our ability to handle the situation in a practical manner.

Certain job seekers in an interview situation tend to be introverted, defensive, avoid eye contact, speak softly and quite often are overly modest as if trying to prevent the interviewer from 'revealing' their weaknesses. Deep down they hope that the interviewer will appreciate their modesty, subtlety, gentleness and humane side and view these traits positively. This model of behavior is commonly practiced by job applicants who assume the interviewer will avoid recommending applicants that are too dominant (or perhaps even have the potential of threatening their own status were they to be colleagues).

On the other side of the spectrum there are job applicants that adopt an opposing stance. To overcome their stress, anticipation and the knowledge that the interviewer can influence their future career, they are often disrespectful and try to undermine the interviewer.

They often think along the lines of:

"Who do they think they are anyway?"

"How can they possibly know how suitable I am for this position?"

Some job applicants even go as far as adopting an aggressive approach. They tend to repeat the interviewers' questions, be sarcastic and are often defiant as if the interviewer's questions are illegitimate. They are skeptical of the interviewer's ability to assess their suitability for the position. Such job applicants presume that if they fail to obtain the required position it is due to the interviewer's inability to assess their skills rather than genuine lack of skills on their part. They often do not comprehend that their emotional reactions are a direct result of the power they attribute to the interviewer over themselves and their future.

The patterns of behavior on both sides of this spectrum, introvert vs. dominant and controlling, are typical of job applicants who feel lack of confidence and insecurity in an interview situation.

For example, a sales & marketing executive currently working at a big firm, 43 years old, with an MBA is applying for a new post and is invited for an interview at a recruitment agency acting on behalf of the recruiting organization. Upon arrival he is informed that he will be interviewed by a 24 year old woman. His gut reaction (which he kept to himself!) was "what does she know?! I find it odd that such a young woman can interview such an experienced person like my self"

This initial reaction resulted in critical, sarcastic and disrespectful behavior demonstrated on his part. The interviewer felt his hostile attitude and concluded that the job applicant is aggressive. She may also conclude that his reaction is a direct result of his inability at dealing with her authority as an interviewer. In conclusion, his behavior reduces his chances of succeeding at the interview. His demeaning attitude is interpreted as inadequate and as a reflection of his lack of self-confidence.

Remember! - an interview is an opportunity for you to exhibit your qualifications and skills rather than an opportunity to engage in friendly conversation and gain sympathy. Just as there is no reason for you to be offended or defensive when meeting a hostile interviewer, you must not celebrate and 'let your guard down' when meeting a friendly and informal interviewer. In both cases you must be concise, well mannered and answer adequately to the questions asked – nothing more or less.

One of the main purposes of preparing for an interview is to learn how to deal with the power the interviewer exerts – to let yourself, the interviewee, feel confident and secure when facing the interviewer, regardless of who that interview may be and the type of behavior they demonstrate.

This can be harder than it sounds and is probably the most important decision you'll make with your work at home internet business. There are two major considerations in choosing what your website will be and both are extremely important. Some will argue that one is more important than the other, but in they end they are equal.

The first thing to consider when picking a topic for your site is picking a topic you enjoy. What's that have to do with making money online you may ask? Well, if you don't like it, you won't spend time on it. Yes, the desire for money will help some, but your success online is in direct proportion to how much time you spend on it. Quite simply, if you like something you will spend more time on it. Don't ignore my advice here, be sure to identify your hobbies and interests and pick one of them to make a site about. The more popular the better.

I gave a hint at the end of that last paragraph about the next consideration. It's popularity. Let me explain exactly what that means in this context as it's a little tricky. To give you the full story though I have to jump ahead a little.

Once your site is up and running you'll need to get some ads on it. Online advertisers pay for visits to their site and exposure of their ads. They amount they pay varies wildly based on topic and the number of bids for your ad space. Yes, that's right, advertisers will bid for ad space on your site. It's very much like an auction, the highest bidders ad is the one that gets shown. So, the more popular your site (and topic) the more advertisers will bid on it and the more money you will make from the ads.

There's a catch to this though. Not really a catch I guess but more of a flip side. Your site is probably not the only one out there on it's topic. There's probably quite a few websites out there that will be in direct competition with you. That's OK though, remember McDonalds and Burger King. The down side though is that the more popular your topic the more choices advertisers and web surfers will have. This has the effect of lowering the amount of money you will make.

As you can see, knowing how popular your topic is is very important. There are two ways I recommend in researching this. One is our free keyword search tool located at the work at home site referenced below. You can enter up to three keywords or phrases into it and it will show you how popular they are as well as list similar ones. It's a very useful tool. The second way is a pay way but it offers much more. It will show who is using the keywords and what other keywords they are using. You can put a website in and the will show you what keywords they are using, how popular they are and even how successful they are. It's an amazing service and worth every penny. You can check it out there as well.

Back to picking your topic. The trick is to pick one that you like and is popular, but not to popular. Once again this is an important step, but don't take to long on it. There's still a lot of work ahead.

Let's get something straight right from the start. It is VERY difficult to make more than $10 or $20 a day working on the Internet part time. Has it been done? Yes. Can it be done again? Yes. The reality of it is though, that unless you can put your full time energy into it you will only end up making about $10 per day. So, if you're here looking for that get quick rich scheme that you're convinced exists, you're in the wrong place. If you're here hoping to make a little extra money to make ends meet while doing something that is fun from your home for a few hours a week, then you're in the right spot. I don't know about you, but I could use an extra $300 per month!

You often hear the word free associated with working from home. Free guide to your success, free money making opportunity, free ebook and so on. Nothing is free! Everything has a cost, hidden or otherwise. If it seems to good to be true, it is. Later on I will explain how it's possible to get "free" web hosting for example. While you won't have to put any money up front, you will be sacrificing flexibility, features and some freedom by doing it. Not that this is bad, it all depends on what your goals are. Always know though that there is a cost to everything.

There's one thing that people often forget, working at home is still work! Along with that goes a great saying I once heard, what you focus on expands. If you put the time and energy into your home business, it will make more than $10 per day, but it will be difficult. There is a lot of competition out there. You have to be very well organized and focused to compete in this market. keep in mind though, just because there's a McDonalds, doesn't mean there can't be a Burger King.

This is not a get rich quick scheme or gimmick. I've taken the time to make this site to explain the basics of working at home on the Internet. I've broken it out into what I think are the major categories and steps you need to take, from beginning to end. After reading this site and following it's directions you will have a fully functional money making website. You may or may not get rich from this site, but you'll at least make a little extra cash.

A couple things will make your work at home business a little more likely to succeed. A good understanding of the Internet and a hobby or topic that you enjoy. The first one seems obvious, but the second one is important, and just happens to be the next step in creating your online business.

Article Title: Be Proactive With Identity Theft Avoidance

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Identity theft is now more prevalent than ever. A person can use your personal information, bank details or credit card details without your permission for personal gain. This is a fraudulent use of your information and normally will cause you, the victim, varying degrees of loss and inconvenience and therefore identity theft avoidance methods are more important than ever.

Consider for a moment the trail of information you leave behind you when you pay the pizza delivery guy with a check - you may be asked to write your name and address on the back and that piece of paper, with your personal and bank details on it, goes through various hands before it makes it's way back to your own bank. Any unscrupulous person in that chain could have access to your finances and potentially clear your account. Being aware of these issues is the first step towards identity theft avoidance.

The most important thing you should do in order to avoid identity theft is to be aware in every situation where you have to divulge your personal information or where others could potentially use it.

Here are three identity theft avoidance tips to help you:

    1. Always aim to keep information - personal information, bank details, social security numbers, pin numbers etc - out of the sight of others. Preferably do not write anything down where it can be stolen by others and especially do not keep financial information together in your purse or pocketbook. A good tip is do not write your personal information on the back of a check, instead write down your phone number and then if verification is needed or there is a problem the bank can contact you.

    2. Phone calls asking for personal and financial information are another potential trap and as such you should not give out information to anyone that calls you. Instead either ask for their number and call back (after first verifying their credentials independently) or call your bank or whoever the caller represents and verify the information they need.

    3. Online identity theft is an ever increasing problem and therefore you need to exercise due diligence when buying goods online. What do you know about the company? Have you bought items from them before? Check whether the yellow padlock shows in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Do they used a recognised payment processor eg Paypal, WorldPay etc?

You should never divulge your financial information until you are happy that the website is genuine and that your information is secure. You can always contact the Better Business Bureau to see if they are genuine.

Cloning websites is very popular as a way of relieving you of your cash and personal details, so never click links within suspicious emails. Many companies will tell you explicitly that they will never contact you in this way. If you are at all unsure then reassure yourself by contacting them yourself.

As you can see identity theft avoidance is achievable if you are careful with how you secure and use your personal and financial information. Be careful out there!

By far the skin is the largest organ in our body and is affected by a diversity of elements that cause damage for example wind, rain, and sun. Besides all the elements of nature that we have no control over, the skin also is harmed by things we do including the food we eat, hygiene and care.

There is a wide variety of products available for purchase for the care of our skin alone but many of them are chemical based that can cause adverse skin reactions specially if it is of the sensitive type. Due to this factor, many folks now prefer using organic skin care products, which are always made with natural ingredients.

Organic skin treatment products contains only products of organic origin and don't have any traces of chemicals in them. This fact provides the skin with the advantages of the organic ingredients and causes the product to be milder on the skin because it does not contain harsh chemicals.

There is a wide variety of organic skin treatment products obtainable such as day and night cream for the face, cream for cleansing the skin from impurities at the end of each day, creams for the entire body for moisturizing day and night and targeted area cream to reduce wrinkles and take away natural skin lines.

Before considering using any organic skin treatment you should ascertain what skin type you have. For example, your skin may perhaps be dry, normal to combination or sensitive and this will help you choose the best suitable organic skin care cream for you. Make certain that your daily moisturizer has sun protection ingredients as the sun is by a big margin the skin's worst enemy and could inflict harm even on cloudy days when you expect it to be safe without sun protection - use sun protection with a minimum of SPF 15 during summer and winter.

Since organic skin care only comprises of natural ingredients it will in general show the desired signs slower than using a cream that is made of chemical ingredients. However, the results last longer unlike most of the chemical ingredient creams.

Organic skin care must be applied on a regular basis or as or as shown in the instructions and your skin will reap benefits for a life-time because organic products work from within to moisturize and produce the best skin you can have.

Diabetic diet is a diet that consists of some restrictions based on the dietary rules set for a diabetic.

Diabetes is a medical condition where the production of insulin by pancreas is zero or the production is resisted. Insulin helps the cells to receive the glucose that's present in the blood. Most of the cells work towards converting the glucose in to energy. When there is no insulin, the glucose tends to remain in the blood stream and then builds up. The situation can be dangerous.

The glucose present in the blood is derived from the food we eat. Hence, it is necessary for the diabetic to make sure that the amounts of glucose in the blood do not rise. Diabetics need to be really careful about their diet. In case, the person is insulin dependent, the diet taken should comprise of about 35 calories of each kg of the overall body weight. In cases where the patient has type-2 diabetic, the number of calories consumed must vary between 1300-1700 according to the frame, size, age and level of activity.

The diabetic diet must include carbohydrates, fats and proteins. About one-half of the calories must be derived from complex carbohydrates. The diet should consist of whole grain breads, fruits, cereals, vegetables and low fat milk.

Raw salads work really well in this type of a diet as compared to the cooked vegetables as these are digested slowly. Most people are under a notion that if a particular food does not contain sugar, it doesn't mean that the blood sugar levels will not rise. It is important to know the amount of food taken, the type of food and the form it has been eaten. Since, all carbohydrates are ultimately converted in to glucose, its intake should be regulated.

In a diabetic diet, one must take utmost care to restrict the intake of carbohydrates as much as they can. On an average, one must consume about less than 10% carbohydrates on a daily basis.

Of course, direct sugar intake should be a taboo. Once, a direct sugar substance creeps in to your blood levels, the blood sugar rises up instantly.

You can have carbohydrates in many other forms such as white flour food items, baked items made of sugar and potatoes and confectionaries.

One must also stay away from processed foods. These food items consist of a good amount of sugar.

One can get enough amounts of proteins from meats, poultry products, egg and nuts. Vegetables oils such as sunflower oil, avocados and rapeseed oils are good. However, one should steer clear of butter and margarine.

There are several benefits of a diabetic diet. One of the main benefits of this diet is that it reduces your weight and helps in maintaining it. It is designed in a fashion to regulate the levels of glucose in the body.

A diabetic diet works towards processing the glucose in an ideal and healthy way. It also helps in maintaining healthy lipid levels and keeps your blood pressure under control.

These days, there is a variety of diabetic diet available. It is very important to consult a doctor prior to setting for a particular diet schedule. This way, you will be on a diet that's ideally meant for you.
