Hiring housecleaning services is now a common practice. This is especially true in homes where both spouses are working. Hiring maids to clean your house makes life so much easier because then you don't have to worry about the dirty dishes and the dirty laundry when you get home after a long day at work. You get to have more quality time with your children and family. This type of service also lifts up your spirits after a long day as you come back to a clean and spotless home.
Although hiring housecleaning services is generally beneficial, there may be a few disadvantages associated with it too. Here are some advantages and disadvantages of hiring a housecleaning service.
Advantages
• Professional maids are trained and experienced. This ensures that all the duties are performed professionally and perhaps even a little different than what you could do yourself. Most housecleaning services provide only trained maids and other staff members, so you have nothing to worry about.
• Professional agencies usually have a list of services to choose from. You can choose the services you want based on your needs, budget and preferences.
• Cleaning agencies also often bring their own cleaning supplies and equipment to clean your home. Thus you don't have to go through the hassle of buying cleaning supplies, so you also end up saving time and money.
• Hiring cleaners from professional agencies ensures that you never have to fend for yourself, even if your own personal helper falls ill or is unable to reach you for any other reason. The agencies always provide you back up staff members so you have a clean house when you need it.
• A house well-cleaned gives you a sense of confidence and makes a style statement to all your friends and family.
• Most professional housecleaning services are usually bonded and insured, so if something in your home is missing or damaged you can hold them accountable.
Disadvantages
• Hiring a professional cleaning company usually costs a lot of money and is an added expense every month.
• Your cleaning revolves around your maid. IE you have to depend on her (or him) for anything basically cleaning-related that you need to know about in your own house. You end up feeling like you don't know anything about your own home anymore.
• There is no privacy for your family anymore when cleaning people are around. You have to consciously keep a check on your actions and words when he or she is present.
• You may have safety and security concerns with regard to having a stranger enter your home. Although the agencies vouch for the integrity of their maids, there have been cases of maids stealing from the clients.
• It may take a while for you and your kids to get used to having a maid around to do all the work. It may sometimes lead to forgetting to leave a key and locking the cleaning staff out, for instance, accidentally.
Thus, it's clear that hiring a housecleaning service has its advantages and disadvantages. However, the advantages definitely are more prominent than the disadvantages. Cleaning and maid services like Park Hill Home Services will always give you top quality service.

HIPAA Exams offer healthcare organizations an excellent way to ensure complete compliance to the HIPAA rules and regulations. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is a federal law and requires that healthcare workers dealing with confidential patient information be trained about HIPAA rules and compliance policies. Training is sometimes provided in-house by the employers or may be completed online. The online training program has become the preferred choice for most employees and employers today, as it offers greater flexibility and convenience.
If you are a healthcare employee and want to obtain a HIPAA certification, the first step is to choose which type of certification you want. There are three types and each type is relevant to workers with specific job functions.
The three types of HIPAA certification programs are explained below.
• Certified HIPAA Administrator (CHA): This certification is focused on end-users who directly deal with patients and their records. This includes doctors, nurses, and healthcare administrators. CHA mainly deals with privacy and confidentiality issues, both verbal and written. CHA certification is directly associated with patients as it includes the policies that affect their health information. Employees who undertake CHA certification will be knowledgeable about patient privacy and be able to ensure HIPAA compliance in the workplace.
• Certified HIPAA Professional (CHP): This certification is the most basic HIPAA training program. It does not require the trainee to have any specific educational qualifications. This program is essential for all healthcare employees, especially those who directly handle confidential patient information. CHP certification gives employees an overview of HIPAA proceedings with all its rules and regulations. Employees of hospitals, pharmacies, medical billing services, laboratories, and medical clearinghouses will benefit greatly from this certification.
• Certified Security Compliance Specialist (CSCS): This particular certification is focused on employees who deal with electronic medical records and the technological aspects of health information. To enroll in a CSCS certification program, an individual should have completed the CHP certification. This program trains the employees about the technological and security measures to protect electronic health information. It also makes them aware of the policies in place to maintain absolute security at different levels. Security measures are essential as they prevent unauthorized access to medical records. Employees who obtain CSCS certification will have a clear understanding about security practices and standards with regard to electronic health information and its relation to HIPAA. It is suggested that all employees dealing with health information technology must complete this course.
HIPAA is so tightly entwined into the workings of a healthcare organization, that it becomes essential for employees to understand its policies and procedures in detail. The courses are designed to help them understand these policies in a simpler manner. It becomes the employer's responsibility to ensure that his employees are at least aware of HIPAA and its laws. Certified employees will make sure they comply with the rules, which is advantageous to employers. To steer clear of any penalties related to non-compliance, all healthcare employees are encouraged to choose a suitable certification and enroll in it.

If you are moving your office and want to ensure the relocation effort is a success, there are a few preparatory steps you can take to minimize your company's downtime, reduce stress, and maximize the success of the transition process. Here are four steps you can take to prepare for your office moving project and ensure that the relocation process will be as efficient as possible:
Establish clear and constant communication with your employees and movers – Keeping your employees in the loop about the move and working closely with your movers long before the actual relocation can help ensure that everyone involved with the project is working in unison. Alerting your employees about the upcoming move may even encourage some of your more ambitious employees to help prepare the business for the upcoming move.
Create a communications network plan – Unless you're running your business with only pen and paper, you will want to have a skilled communications technician coordinate the removal and setup of your computers, phones, printers, and other office communications equipment. This individual can work alongside the office moving team and arrange for your office equipment to be relocated as quickly as possible. The individual in charge of the technology side of the move can also test the system after installing it at your new workplace to make sure everything is running smoothly before you reopen your business to the public.
Have your employees move their own personal effects – You can save time and money if you have your employees pack their own files, books, and cubicle items. Be sure to provide at least two medium-sized cardboard boxes to allow them enough room to pack their items, and make sure each employee clearly labels his or her name on these boxes. Make sure to account for at least a half day for your employees to move their belongings so they still have room in their schedules to complete their regular tasks. It's important that this side of the move occurs right before the movers relocate the office cubicles so your employees can set their personal belongings up during the next business day and return to their normal duties as soon as possible.
Move during off hours – You can minimize any interruption to your business operations if you plan the office moving day for a weekend or another time when your business is either closed or typically experiencing a slower flow of customers. Many office moving companies expect businesses to move at night or on weekends and are prepared for handling a move during those times, but be sure that the moving company you are considering indeed does execute moves after normal business hours. Also, find out ahead of time if there will be any overtime charges for moving during those times.
If you start the planning process as soon as possible, you will have more time to prepare for each step of the moving process and iron out any issues that may arise. If you follow these steps, have backup plans

If you have clutter sitting in your closets, basement, attic, or anywhere else in your house, then you aren't alone, as millions of families find themselves saddled with items they may want or need to keep for the long term but don't have the space for. Often, people will simply move items they can't find a place for inside their homes out to the garage. What invariably happens, though, is the garage gets overwhelmed with forgotten books, old videos, outdated clothing, and worn-out furniture, and within a short period of time, the garage can no longer accommodate what it was built for – the car!
If you were renting space from one of the many storage companies that serve your town, you could be able to simply drop your items off at the storage unit without having to sacrifice the valuable and limited space in your garage. However, keeping your garage free of clutter is not the only reason to consider renting a storage unit. In fact, there are many advantages to storing your items in a warehousing facility instead of your personal garage.
Ever notice how when it is really cold outside, stepping into your garage reminds you of what it must feel like to walk into an industrial-sized freezer at the meat-packing plant? And, then, when summer comes around, your garage feels like a sauna? Well, that's because your garage is not insulated like the rest of your house is, and therefore it is not climate controlled. While your car and lawn equipment might be able to tolerate the temperature swings and moisture influxes, your antique furnishings, yearbooks, and 8-millimeter films simply will not. Therefore, renting space in a climate-controlled storage unit is essential if you need to find a safe haven for any sensitive items that you simply no longer have space for in your home or want to store there.
Another reason to consider storing your belongings in a warehouse as opposed to putting them in your garage is that many storage facilities offer far more security than your garage could ever afford. While all that likely stands between the inside of your garage and potential burglars is a panel of metal about 1/16th of an inch thick, a modern storage facility has several measures in place to protect your belongings, some of which the typical homeowner would not ordinarily have be able to employ in a typical residential setting.
For one, most storage facilities these days have a computer-controlled access gate that requires customers to key in a pin or another type of password to step foot within the facility. Secondly, virtually all storage facilities are tightly monitored using video cameras and/or onsite security staff. Third, you are provided either a key to enter your individual storage unit(s) or are allowed to put a padlock on your unit's door to keep your belongings secure. Your storage company may also offer additional layers of security that are not mentioned here.
When all is said and done, storing your items in a storage facility is the best option all around. Not only will your fragile and valuable items be safely stored for as long as necessary, your car will probably appreciate the gesture as well.

Article Title: Tips On Buying Insulated Siding For Your Baltimore, MD, Home

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
Has the time come to purchase new siding for your home in Baltimore, Maryland? If so, you are one of the thousands of Baltimore-area homeowners each year who replaces their homes' siding. While many of these homeowners are upgrading their homes from wood shakes, asbestos siding, and other materials that degrade over the course of time, others are removing old vinyl siding and replacing it with newer materials. Today's vinyl siding is improved from the varieties of vinyl siding from yesteryear. New vinyl siding from the home improvement industry's top manufacturers is not only designed to last longer, but is also available in fade-, chip-, crack-resistant finishes, so it requires less maintenance. There is an additional benefit that modern vinyl siding offers, and that is energy efficiency. Energy-efficient siding is backed with foam insulation, which translates to a higher overall R-value for the product and reduced heat transfer into and out of your home.
With so many energy-efficient siding options on the market, the issue becomes what type of insulated siding to buy. Since not all energy-efficient siding is created equal, what you as a consumer must do is determine for yourself what is most important when it comes down to buying energy-efficient siding. Are you looking for a product with the highest R value? The most natural-looking siding? Perhaps a product line that is available in a plethora of colors? Maybe a combination of all the above? There are many options to consider when buying new siding, so be sure to weigh them carefully.
As for any issues regarding aesthetics, you will need to consult with your neighborhood association (if you belong to one) and find out if there are restrictions on what style or color of siding you are permitted to have on your home. If you live in a deed-restricted community or own an historic home, the issue of aesthetics can easily dog many home renovation projects, so before you contact a home siding contractor, you will need to know ahead of time what type of siding you should be looking for. Having a list of approved siding colors and styles before calling for siding quotes will not only narrow your search for the a siding contractor to those that offer the type of product you are looking for, but will also help prevent delays during the course of the project.
Another thing to consider when looking for siding is to find out which products offer the best warranties. Some vinyl manufacturers only offer five- or ten-year warranties whereas others will provide up to a lifetime of protection. Clearly, there is a lot of money to be potentially saved if you buy siding with a lifetime warranty versus a product offering a decade of protection, so factor this into your decision.
Finally, be sure to check out the previous jobs that your siding installer has done. This will not only help you get an idea as to the quality of their work, but may also help you think of some siding concepts that you may not have otherwise thought of.

If the time has come to replace the roofing on your Newark, DE, home, perhaps you may be considering the many roofing options available. From metal roofing to slate to wood shingles, there is a plethora of options to choose from, and each has its pros and cons. For example, metal roofing is long lasting and versatile, but one issue many homeowners have with metal roofing is that it has an extremely industrial look and can clash with a home's architectural character. Slate is another long-lasting option, like metal, and has an aesthetically pleasing nature that especially bodes well for historic homes; however, slate is also very expensive, and might be too heavy of a material for installation on certain older homes with less structural integrity. Like slate, wood shingles exude a rustic quality that many homeowners enjoy, but unfortunately break down over time in just a few short years may need to be replaced, especially if they are installed on a home in a humid climate.
So, what roofing material is the best compromise when it comes to cost, aesthetics, and overall durability? For decades, the answer to that question has always been asphalt shingles. Asphalt shingles are an economically viable option for homeowners on virtually any budget and are aesthetically acceptable for homes of virtually any architectural style. What's more, asphalt shingles can have a life span of 20 years or longer, particularly in mild weather environments where there aren't major temperature swings.
Another major benefit of choosing asphalt shingles over other types of roofing is that they are available in a wide range of colors, which allows you to choose shingle roofing in just about any hue imaginable. Not only does that allow you to suit the exterior color or surrounding landscape of your home, but it also is ideal in situations where homeowners' associations or historical boards dictate that roofing in certain colors must be used. In addition to the wide array of color options that shingle roofing affords, this type of roofing is increasingly available in various textures. In fact, one of the most popular of these texture varieties is high-definition, or architectural, shingles. This style of asphalt roofing has shingles that come in various relief and different shapes of edge reveal, lending a rich display of shadows on the roof.
When you are deciding on what style of asphalt roof to buy, you will want to consider color, texture, durability, and all other factors mentioned to ensure that you are making the right purchase for your home. Of course, if you hire a reputable roofing company with highly skilled technicians who have years of necessary knowledge and experience, then you won't have to make any of these important decisions on your own. A professional roofing company can educate you on the roof options available and help you explore what aesthetic choices might best suit your home. If your budget is tight, be sure to ask your roofing company if they have any financing options available to help alleviate the upfront cost of a roof installation.

When you hear about the elite rich, you don't always hear about how they are helping everyone around them, and that's the case with the world's richest man. No, not the guy that you're thinking is the most interesting, but rather the wealthiest in the world, Carlos Sims. This man is synonymous with money, so much that he has trumped everyone you could think of, and that might cause some people don't understand that he's using his wealth for good, providing cellular communication to those that need it most, the poor. Those that are down on their luck are can get access to digital communication devices for free, that's first, 100% free. Through Safelink Wireless, cell phones are no longer expensive and anyone can get to talking.
When you first think about free services, or phones, you will think about the long term contracts that many have to sign in order to get talking, browsing the web or even texting. The cost of the average plan can easily be upwards of $100 a month depending on the carrier. This is not a good thing overall and many find themselves in dire straits each month trying to pay for the privilege of communication. This problem can be changed easily by looking into a different route, assuming that you qualify.
For those that are poor, or are dealing with serious financial issues, there is hope, and it's provided through the connections of Safelink Wireless, which provides those in need with free cellphones, and plans that are not going to cost anything at all. The services that are provided include the phone and 250 minutes of talk time. Additional minutes can be purchased for a small fee, but overall this option is quite good and absolutely a lifesaver for those that are in dire need.
Certain parameters have to be met in order to get one of these devices, and not everyone will qualify to get one. Many will be turned away if they can't prove that they are of a lower tier of income. Currently, there are millions of people living beneath the poverty line, and for them, the notion of having digital devices is not going to be easy. For that purpose, this plan is going to be a great one. Currently only a limited amount of states and areas have the option to procure this but it's one way that the rich are in fact helping the poor.
The next time that you hear about Carlos Sims, consider that the richest man in the world is helping those less fortunate with their communication needs. Safelink Wireless provides people with the format to call one another and get moving forward with financial matters for free. There are no strings attached, no contracts, no money exchanged, it's 100% free of charge and the 250 minutes that come with it renew each month with no additional required fees. This type of benevolence is an incredible thing, especially if you're dealing with hardships of a financial nature.

One of the biggest bills that a family can have is that of cellular communication. The cost of phones aside, you'll have to pay upwards of $200 for the privilege to have a cell phone in these modern times. This is something that is difficult to manage for those that are of lower income brackets than others. It's with that in mind that many are looking for alternatives, and one is now presented and helped by the government. Reachout Wireless is helping families that are struggling make ends meet by giving free phones and free service to the poor.
With so many people still trying to recover from the economic down turn that hit the United States, it's no wonder that the government and this communications company is working together to provide options for those that are looking to get a free cell phone today. This can help in a variety of ways, and many people take it for granted. For those that haven't thought about this, consider the plight of an unemployed person, with no money to purchase a phone, how do they get contacted for an interview? This becomes an issue that most aren't ready to deal with, and that's why free phones help.
There are a lot of people that will assume that this is not real, or that there are strings attached. The truth of the matter is actually the opposite. This is not only a reality it cost absolutely nothing. That's right, it doesn't cost a dime to get this option, it does however come with parameters that need to be followed. Millions of people that are living in poverty qualify to receive this type of assistance, but there are papers to fill out and not all states allow this. Finding the proper forms, and getting the right information is as simple as contacting Reachout Wireless and going through the process of proving poverty levels. Once that is done, the phone and the service is subsidized by the government at no cost to the consumer.
With this option, many people that are dealing with the real life struggles of poverty can now communicate with relative ease, and without worry of a high bill that can consume a great number of funds. Just remember, the average cost of a cellular phone plan today, with even limited minutes can run upwards of $100 to $150. Now throw in the necessary lines for a family, and you'll see that it can balloon to more and more money that might not be readily available to use.
There are a lot of families that are looking for an opportunity to get out of a rut, and with the help of Reachout Wireless it is possible to save money, make ends meet and get the same kind of quality cellular communication options that others get, all without paying the high bill. This option is not for everyone, it requires being in a certain earning's bracket but that's about it. It's definitely something that is helping those in need.

For millions of people, modern technology seems too far away to garner. This is especially true for those that cannot afford to get a cell phone. For many, this seems like something that is rudimentary, getting a phone. Think about the cost of getting a cellular phone in these modern times, and you'll realize that it's not exactly an easy thing to procure. The cost of a phone can easily spike into the hundreds of dollars and that's not including the cost of service. The average phone bill today can be upwards of $100 for a single line, and that is usually compounded by a contract that lasts upwards of 2 years. Those that are less fortunate and dealing with financial hardships are not going to be able to get this option and therefore are left in the dark.
The government has recently stepped into the picture and is now providing the poor with cell phone service and phones at no cost. Some people ask whether or not the government should be doing this, and the emphatic answer is a definite yes. Some pundits will be quick to say that this is a handout, but it truly isn't. The phone service is not mean to be abused and comes with a phone and 250 minutes of talk time. This is not nearly as much as many people assume that it is, and for those that are dealing with poverty, this is nothing more than a lifeline to a better future.
Those that don't think about this often, take note of what can be done with a phone these days. When filling out a job application, one of the lines requires a person to list their phone number, but for the poor, with no landline and no phone, there is no way to contact them. This can be an issue, which is why the government is now subsidizing phones for the poor so that they can in fact get employed and moving forward. The subsidy is not without requirements, so it's not just anyone that can get this.
In the available states, the cellular assistance program requires a person to be of lower income bracket and without recourse for purchasing a phone on their own. This means that they have to fill out proper forms and move forward with the process of procuring this option. Without proof of income and filling out the proper paperwork, this option is not available.
For those that are asking whether or not the government offer free cell phone service to the poor, the answer is always going to be, yes. There are some things in life that are standard for communication and we have come to a modern place where giving those less fortunate 250 minutes of cell phone service and a free phone isn't going to break the bank and should be done to help them communicate with one another and get moving forward. There will be a time where a person that is given this device will be able to purchase a new one and get in line with many millions of other people that love technology, but until then, there are options that can help them.

When it comes to Obama, a lot of people will either praise his work or will criticize what he is doing. It's hard to find people that can agree on everything in regards to politics, but there is one thing that he's doing that is helping millions, and no matter what political party you're loyal to, you'll find that there is greatness in regards to his dealing with communications. You'll find that when discussing cellular communication, Safelink Wireless comes to mind for some. This company is part of the Obama administration's goal to help those that are less fortunate, get communication requirements for work, and beyond.
Think about the average cost of a cell phone. You would have to pay up front several hundred dollars, then sign up for a contract or agreement that is 2 years in length and pay upwards of $100 a month for the privilege to call others. For many, this burden is too much and can't afford to get on board. Those that can't pay this end up having no way to communicate with others, and can't rely on the dying pay phones that are no longer on every street corner. What are they to do, then?
Well that's where Obama is coming into play, he has made it so that many of the nation's poorest families can get a free cellular phone, with 250 minutes of talk time. That means that in an emergency, they can call 911, they can call schools, and even find work that will call them and get moving forward to getting more income and out of hardships of a financial nature. This might sound like it's too good to be true, but it's 100% accurate and it's being played out across the nation.
For those that are skeptical, the facts are as follows:
• Free Cell Phone – The phone is 100% free, for those that qualify. There are no strings attached here, 100% free, no hidden requirements, nothing at all.
• 250 Free Minutes – 250 minutes of talk time per month with no additional costs at all. If you would like more, there are additional options that cost a low amount, but this is standard.
• Income Requirements – Each state is different, but one thing is for sure, you have to have low income or be homeless to take advantage of this. You'll need to be able to prove certain things and fill out forms, but if you are within the required brackets, you will receive the aforementioned.
The best thing about all of this is that everyone in the nation will be wired. No matter where you are and what you're doing, you can call someone and get help or wait for that job you've been hoping for to call and get moving into action. This is provided and subsidized by the United States Government and continues to help those that are in need. No matter what side of the political fence you're on, you can definitely agree that Obama is doing something great here with helping those less fortunate, communicate through cellular programs.

*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
In recent years, there's been a huge push toward three-dimensional (3D) products: glasses, theaters, movies, high-resolution screens for home entertainment systems, and others. While 3D has been a boon to the movie industry – who doesn't want to watch the latest blockbuster and feel like you're right in the middle of the action? – other industries haven't quite embraced the technology in the same way. However, the medical field is beginning to utilize 3D technology more and more. As the technology grows, it's becoming increasingly accessible to a variety of medical occupations and in a variety of forms, including medical animations, ultrasounds and sonograms, and systems with high-resolution displays that have been developed specifically for surgical procedures.
Medical Animation
It used to be that voluminous, heavy textbooks, printed hand outs, research studies, and other texts were the only source of medical information for students and professionals. Thanks to 3D technology, medical animation software and programs are offering students, nurses, and doctors another, far more visual way to learn about the human body.
One company at the forefront of this technology is Tres 3D, a medical scientific animation studio that offers a variety of innovative, 3D services, including 3D modeling, animating, product renderings, and interactive touch screens. These can be incredibly helpful when it comes to taking a more in-depth approach to learning and studying the parts of the human anatomy.
Additionally, the company creates rich, Method of Action (MOA) videos of surgical techniques, molecular processes, and pharmaceutical processes that have helped a number of major corporations – such as Glaxo Smith Kline, Johnson & Johnson, and others – showcase their products or services and better explain to viewers how those products or services interact with the human body.
Ultrasounds & Sonograms
Innovative 3D technology has also influenced how obstetricians are able to check on the development of a pregnant woman's fetus. In use for many years, ultrasound technology uses high-frequency sound waves beamed into a woman's uterus from an exterior handheld device. The sound waves echo or bounce back into the device to create images on a screen. Traditionally, the fetal ultrasound mode of imaging involved 2D scanning, with a black and white, fuzzy image as the typical result. In 3D scanning, instead of sound waves beaming down at one angle before reflecting back, they are sent in multiple angles. A highly sophisticated computer program then translates the returning echoes into a 3D volume sonogram of a fetus or its internal organs.
While there is no major benefit to viewing a fetus with 3D imaging apart from a mother being able to better visualize her child, the technology may someday be used to detect heart anomalies and for testing neurological and behavioral developments of fetuses while still in the womb.
3D Glasses & Display Screens in the Operating Room
Much of the surgical community worldwide remains skeptical of using 3D technology in the operating room, largely because of concerns with the bulkiness and accuracy of images through glasses. In recent practical tests administered by the Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications, Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI), and Klinikum rechts der Isar university hospital in Munich, Germany, a group of surgeons tested several different 3D systems featuring extremely high-resolution screens; some systems required glasses, others did not.
The 3D system that didn't require glasses got positive reviews from surgeons who participated in the study, even though it was not the most popular model tested. Surprisingly, the glasses-based 3D system was the favorite of all the surgeons. While using the system in a mock procedure, the surgeons reduced their performance time by 15 percent and precision increased dramatically, as hand movements were more targeted compared to the movements when using a 2D model.
There are many more advancements required to perfect the use of 3D in medical settings, but it's good to know that the technology exists and could prove to be incredibly helpful in diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions.

Australian director Baz Luhrmann is as well known for the music he uses to enhance his films as he is for the actual films. This is because the director expertly mixes sound with each individual scene to produce a rich effect. Imagine the surprise of his fans when he announced his next project as a film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel "The Great Gatsby," a book set in an era of jazz music. Excitement built steadily for the project and reached a crescendo when cast announcements started coming out. The film has an exciting mix of Oscar nominees, former movie superheroes, and indie film darlings that is sure to draw not a small crowd.
Leonardo DiCaprio
DiCaprio is playing the titular role of Jay Gatsby, a mysterious millionaire who lives in the Long Island suburb of West Egg. He has an extravagant house and throws lavish parties that only the elite of the area get to attend, but he may have a hidden side that is quite different from his public persona. DiCaprio was the very first person cast, and one of the few actors who didn't have to go through a long, arduous auditioning process. The former teen heartthrob is fresh off his turn in Quentin Tarantino's controversial film "Django Unchained" and will next be seen in "The Wolf of Wall Street, where he will be re-teamed with his "The Departed" director Martin Scorsese.
Tobey Maguire
After the announcement of DiCaprio's casting, the other main male part, that of Nick Carraway, went to Maguire, who has been relatively quiet since finishing up his title role in Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" trilogy. Since "Spider-Man 3" came out in 2007, he has done only three films before agreeing to do "The Great Gatsby." His character Nick is a fledgling stock broker who moves into a tiny house in West Egg, where his neighbor happens to be none other than Jay Gatsby. Nick also serves as the narrator of the story, giving the audience background and insight into the characters and their actions, making it a very important role.
Carey Mulligan
In early November 2010, Luhrmann still hadn't cast the pivotal role of Daisy Buchanan, the cousin of Nick and former lover of Gatsby. She is now married to a rich man whom she doesn't seem to love while trying to rekindle her torrid love affair with Gatsby. Initially, many actresses auditioned for the part, including Keira Knightly, Michelle Williams, and Amanda Seyfried. It wasn't until Mulligan flew into New York from her native England to audition that Luhrmann was sure he had found his Daisy in the indie movie star. After being nominated for an Oscar, Mulligan started to see her career rising rapidly, which makes the cast of "The Great Gatsby" even more star-studded.
Joel Edgerton
Like Mulligan, Edgerton had to beat out several other big-name actors in order to secure the part of Tom Buchanan, Daisy's wealthy husband who is highly suspicious of Gatsby. Initially, Ben Affleck was slated to play the part, but he had already committed to "Argo," which he starred in and directed. When a scheduling conflict made filming both impossible, he gave up the plum role of Tom rather than abandon "Argo." Bradley Cooper was rumored to be in contention for the role, which ultimately went instead to Australian actor Joel Edgerton, who was rising to popularity on both sides of the Pacific at the time. By all accounts, he is an affable fellow, which means he will have to do some serious acting to portray the callous Tom, who cheats on his wife, bullies people every chance he gets, and hates minorities and most women.
Isla Fisher and Jason Clarke
Fisher and Clark were cast soon after Edgerton and Mulligan as Myrtle and George Wilson, a poor married couple who run an auto shop on the sketchy outskirts of New York City. George loves his wife, but Myrtle is so keen on improving her lot in life that she agrees to an illicit affair with Tom because she thinks it will help her climb the social ladder. Previously, Fisher had been best known for her roles in comedies like "Bachelorette" and "Confessions of a Shopaholic," so "The Great Gatsby" is her chance to show her dramatic acting skills. Clarke is an Australian who has gained notice stateside by appearing in the critically acclaimed series "The Chicago Code" as well as in the film "Zero Dark Thirty." He continues to get American parts because of his mastery of the accent, though he still does films like "Swerve" back in his native Australia.

Rating: R
Length: 101 minutes
Release Date: April 26, 2013
Directed By: Dante Ariola
Genre: Drama/Comedy
Stars: 3 out of 5
Released to United States viewers in April 2013, "Arthur Newman" gave audiences a look into what it might be like if they were able to escape their day-to-day lives and start anew. The film combines top-notch directing by Dante Ariola and a star-studded cast to create a film that is part comedy, part drama, and all entertainment.
Wallace Avery (Colin Firth) is a man who could have had it all. By the time he hits middle age, he has gone from being a successful professional golfer to a nameless corporate worker. He is divorced by a woman who hates him; has a teenage son, Kevin (Lucas Hedges), who doesn't like him any better; a girlfriend, Mina (Anne Heche), who is less than happy with him; and is in a job that he can't stand. He creates an elaborate plan to stage his own death close to the ocean so that he can run away and start everything all over again as Arthur Newman.
He soon meets up with Michaela, a grafter who prefers to be called Mike (Emily Blunt). She is also trying to escape her past, so the two soon become fast friends. Arthur should have understood the problems that the beautiful yet fragile Mike had, as the couple first met one night when she was drunk and sitting by the edge of a low-budget motel's swimming pool.
Although she sees Arthur as little more than an easy mark, the daring couple develop a bond that is slightly romantic and very much kindred spirits. They head off on a road trip to Terre Haute, Indiana. Along the way, they break into other people's homes and pretend to be them, in the process taking on the persons of an elderly couple, a high-rolling gambler and his Russian lover, and others. For them, it's easier to pretend to be someone else than to simply be themselves.
By the end of the story, both Mike and Arthur decide that what they really love about themselves and each other is what they left behind. As so often happens when people begin to doubt themselves, they work the healing process together so that they can move on with the lives they originally left behind.
Oscar-nominated writer Becky Johnston, who also wrote "The Prince of Tides" and "Under the Cherry Moon," wrote the original screenplay in the early 1990s. Her intent was to have Nick Nolte take on the role of Arthur Newman, since the pair had already worked together on a previous film. The film, unfortunately, was shelved.
Dante Ariola was a successful commercial director who had aspirations of doing a feature film, and he felt this story would be a good way for him to achieve his goal. Despite the fact that the original screenplay was written before Google was a household name and cellphones were commonplace, he forged ahead with the project, retrofitting the screenplay for the modern times.
British actor Colin Firth steals the show with his rendition of Arthur Newman. Firth began his acting career in 1984 with bit parts in television shows and movies, and he landed his first recurring role in the 1986 television mini-series "Lost Empires." His portrayal of Mr. Darcy in the 1995 mini-series "Pride and Prejudice" garnered him international acclaim, and he followed that up with his role as Geoffrey Clifton in the 1996 hit "The English Patient." Firth became an A-list celebrity and continued to land roles in movies like "Bridget Jones Diary," "What a Girl Wants," "Love Actually," "Mamma Mia!" and "A Christmas Carol." He has been recognized with forty-eight awards, including an Oscar in 2011 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his role as King George VI in "The King's Speech," and he has garnered an additional thirty-one nominations.
Emily Blunt, also born in England, played the difficult role as Mike. A relatively newcomer to the screen, Blunt began her acting career in 2003 with the role of Isolda in "Warrior Queen." She won the hearts of the movie audience with her 2006 portrayal of Mara in "Irresistible," and she followed that up by playing the role of Emily in "The Devil Wears Prada." Blunt also had roles in "Charlie Wilson's War," "The Wolfman," and "Gulliver's Travels."
Although it's too soon to tell whether "Arthur Newman" will be recognized on the award circuit, it has won audiences across the country. No matter how successful people are, it's natural to wonder what life would be like if they were someone else. In addition to giving viewers that vicarious thrill, "Arthur Newman" also makes them laugh and sometimes even cry.

For those who are looking for tropical pattern maternity swimsuits with the versatility of a strapless and halter, there is the Prego Costa Rica V-kini. The light blue, blue purple hibiscus with light brown leaves set on a dark brown field will make you feel you are on the beaches of Maui. The pattern runs vertically and the dark background will add a reducing effect to your belly. This V-kini has a V notch between the bust and show off a bit of cleavage without be so revealing. Refinishing your hardwood may seem like a dirty and dusty job, but with hardwood floors sanding NJ, you can expect a clean, dustless refinishing job.
Sanding is an essential process in hardwood refinishing. It removes stains and grit and brings back the old beauty of your hardwood. Keep in mind that no matter kind of wood your floor is made of, they have a maximum number of times to be sanded.
If not given careful thought, improper sanding will result in damage of your hardwood and may even cause the price of your home to depreciate. That is why it is important to choose a floor refinishing company that knows what they are doing. Hardwood floors sanding NJ are experts in floor sanding and refinishing so they know exactly what they are doing.
After sanding, some wood may need to be replaced. Fillers may be needed and bigger gaps between the floor boards may need to be filled with a fillet of wood that matches your hardwood floor. Hardwood floors sanding NJ has everything covered. After your floor has been refinished, you will only see a glamorously glowing floor. You will even forget that it was just refinished. You will think that it's a new flooring that is just freshly installed.
Harwood refinishing services such as hardwood floors sanding NJ use a special equipment that confines the dust into a vacuum bag to prevent them from clinging to walls, furniture or draperies. This special equipment prevents dusts from scattering through the air which results in a cleaner, more breathable air after the job is done. This also ensures that your hardwood floor is completely free from stains or any existing color after sanding. You may choose from any of the existing sealers after sanding. You may also want your finish to be satin, semi-gloss or gloss sheen depending on your home décor.
Since the final coating used by hardwood floors sanding NJ is easy to dry, you no longer need to vacate your home. You may transfer your furniture in another room while work is being done in the other room. Other floor refinishing services require a few days just to ensure that their coating is fully dried. This is too much of a hassle.
If you have several rooms for refinishing, it will take you weeks before you can finally use them. What's even worse is that other refinishing services use finishes that has very strong odors. In this case, you can't stay in your house especially if you have kids. Renting a hotel is another cost and it's not cheap.
Before you decide to have your hardwood floor refinished, you must decide on how you want your floor to look like afterwards. Contact your floor refinishing company and discuss the stain color that you want and what they have available. You should also know what finish you like. Visit the website of hardwood floors sanding NJ and check their available finishes to give you an idea of how their job looks like.

Wood flooring is one of the most timeless features in any construction. Such floors can fit in just about any stylistic aim, feeling at home in both classic and modern homes. But of course, not all wood floors are made equal. Some are separated by the way they are constructed, while others are separated by the material used in building them. One of the materials that are emerging as a popular choice for building projects is engineered wood. How is engineered floors installation in NJ going to work for your favor? This article aims to provide you with an in-depth answer.
For those who don't know, what exactly is engineered wood? Contrary to what its name suggests, there's nothing complicated with the construction of this building material. This material is basically made of finished wood and plywood. Different companies construct different types of engineered wood materials, but that's basically how it's made in a nutshell. How wood is plied for use in engineered floors installation in NJ is pretty much unique. Each ply is bonded perpendicular to its adjacent ply. This seemingly minor construction modification makes a huge difference, as it allows wood to survive light moisture such as those found on bathrooms and basements.
What are the different options you have when it comes to engineered floors installation in NJ? Don't be fooled about how the "plywood" term is used, as this material is constructed using no less than real wood. The finished wood, the visible part of the engineered wood, is made using some of the most popular woods used for floors. Woods such as hickory, bamboo, oak, and maple are used for constructing engineered wood, and can provide a look and feel that's not that far apart from their solid wood counterparts. And because these materials are prefinished, it can dramatically reduce the amount of time needed for installing the floor.
What are the different advantages provided by going for engineered floors installation in NJ? Most of the advantages are tied with the construction material itself. It may not seem like it, but the use of plywood actually improves the structural rigidity and overall durability of the wood. What's more, these materials are generally less expensive than their solid counterparts, allowing you to reduce construction costs significantly. And because of its unique construction, it can hold up better to areas with light moisture. Periodic sanding can be used to revive the wood grain and reseal the wood once more. Needless to say, engineered floors are extra tough, and once the floor's in place, you won't even recognize that it's partially made of plywood.
But of course, someone has to install the wood in order to create the floor of your dreams. And for that, services that offer engineered floors installation in NJ can be especially helpful. With the skills, tools, and experience needed to ensure proper installation, putting the job in the hands of these people will ensure a trouble-free experience. With their engineered wood selections and a list of mounting techniques, you can construct your floor the way you want it.

For those who want to have a wooden floor in their home, office, or commercial establishment, going for prefinished wood has its own set of advantages. An ideal material for different reasons, this type of wood is quickly becoming the material of choice for different flooring needs. To best enjoy the benefits of this product, it's advised that getting the help of a knowledgeable installation service is a must. Here are some reasons why it is important to get services for prefinished floors installation in NJ.
For those who don't understand what prefinished floors are all about, it's best to take a closer look at the material itself, as it's the one that makes this floor construction unique. Simply put, prefinished floors installation in NJ (or anywhere in the world for that matter) is done with the help of prefinished wood. As the name would suggest, this type of wood comes finished at the factory. Finishing is important for different reasons. These sets of treatments add color, protect the wood from staining, and add waterproofing properties into the mix. It's these treatments that make prefinished wood a compelling choice for construction, and that's not just for floors.
What are the advantages of going for prefinished floors installation in NJ? There is the sheer durability of the wood. The sealants used for these products are usually more powerful than most sealants available on the market. It's because of these advanced coating materials that make prefinished floor constructors confident enough to extend the warranty of their products to lengths of up to 25 years or even more.
Another reason why the use of prefinished wood for flooring purposes is considered advantageous is because it markedly decreases the amount of time needed for installation. Unfinished floors need time to finish. In addition, extra processes such as sanding can add up to the installation time. By going for prefinished wood, the installation process is quickened. In fact, the job can even be done within a full day, depending on the scale of the job.
Last but not least, one advantage of prefinished floors installation in NJ is the sheer versatility this type of wood has. Because of its factory-made nature, consistency and durability is not a problem at all. At the same time, these woods have the same look and feel you can expect from natural wood. What's more, when the time comes that you want to change up the sealant, it can be done simply by sanding the surface off and giving it a new finishing treatment, if necessary.
But more than just the selection of the building material, what makes the difference in build quality is how the entire thing is constructed to begin with. This is where an installation service can come into the picture and help you out. If you are looking to improve the floor of your home, office, or commercial space, you cannot go wrong in getting professional installation services. Making sure that prefinished floors installation in NJ proceeds as planned, these services will deliver the results you envision, and then some.

Hardwood is a timeless addition to any type of home, office, or commercial establishment. Capable of adding a touch of style, functionality, and class to any floor, hardwood can bring the best out of any dwelling, regardless of what approach you may have for building your living space. But of course, you don't have to be a genius to understand that adding wood to your floor is not as easy as it sounds. To ensure that your hardwood floor is installed the right way, you got to give a call to hardwood floors installers in NJ.
What is the importance of letting an installer service do the job for your home? Think of it this way. The installation of wooden floors, as crazy as it may seem at first, can actually be considered as a type of specialty building technique. A lot of things go into the building of wooden floors. From pre-installation techniques to post-installation methods, each step matters in creating the best floor possible. Hardwood floors installers in NJ ensures that the job gets done, and gets done properly.
What are the different options you have when having a hardwood floor installed at your home? One of the first things you need to consider when about to have a floor upgrade is the material to be used for the project. Here are some of the most popular material options you can have hardwood floors installers in NJ install for you.
1. Solid Hardwood- This type of wood flooring is made from 100% solid wood from top to bottom. Simply called hardwood, this floor is constructed by simply putting in a stick of wood sawn off directly from a log. Available in both unfinished and prefinished forms, they can be either glued or nailed into the surface.
2. Engineered wood- This is becoming such a popular choice not just for flooring materials, but also for other aspects of construction. This type of wood has 2 distinct layers, the plywood which consists most of the mass and space of the material, and the finish wood which is the visible part of the floor. This is very popular because of its added durability and decreased cost.
3. Laminated wood- This material is considered by some as not real wood. Though wood-chip composite is used to construct it, it is mainly made of resin-infused paper. Even though this is not real wood, there are some distinct advantages this type of material offers. Not only does this material still look like wood, but it is also inexpensive, scratch-resistant, and suitable for moist environments.
The next part of selecting hardwood floors installers in NJ is checking which service provider does the job best. You can search your local paper for floor installers. Get estimates and quotes to determine which service offers the best service. Observe those who are making an estimate for your home, as how they do the estimate can tell volumes if they know what they are doing. Service reviews can also come in handy if they are available. Going the extra mile to ensure you'll get the right installer can go a long way for your longtime satisfaction.

You may have loved ones who are elderly or infirm. Their weakened state makes them feeble to the environment, and they may not be able to function on their own, let alone have the strength to drive anywhere. This can be frustrating if they have medical appointments to attend, or have important errands to make and don't have the means to do so. In the event that you are unable to care for their transportation needs, seeking the assistance of a non-emergency medical transportation provider may be the best route.
This concept is similar to a taxi service. The provider can pick up the disabled individual and take them wherever they need to go. However, just as with a taxi service, you want to make sure you are putting the disabled into qualified hands that are legally accredited. There are specific requirements for being allowed to operate as a non-emergency medical transportation provider. You have to acquire the appropriate license and follow all state mandated regulations.
For one, the state will require a prospective driver to get a hold of an appropriate license for transportation. They may also require that the business become a registered, appropriate provider with the state's department of health and human services. Of course, a provider will also be required to carry a large insurance policy. Although the cost of insurance for emergency medical transportation is considerably higher, it will still be expensive to maintain a policy for non-emergency medical transportation. Since private insurance companies usually do not cover these costs, the business will need to become an approved provider with their state's Medicaid office in order to accept Medicaid from clients.
Once all the legal nuts and bolts are taken care of, consider the vehicle the business is operating from. It needs to be in compliance with all state safety regulations and should most likely provide a hydraulic lift for individuals who are in wheelchairs. Some clients may use a cane or a walker instead. Regardless, anyone driving the vehicle should have a clean driving record, proper medical training, and are ready to assist their clients with any problems. Most states have training programs for individuals interested in becoming a non-emergency medical transportation provider.
Anyone interested in this service for themselves or a disabled loved one should contact the state department of health and human services for more information. These businesses often cater to nursing homes, retirement homes, and assisted living facilities. It is a growing industry ready to accommodate the needs of so many elderly ones who can't manage to accomplish important tasks on their own. Remember that in order for it to be a reputable company, the business must be registered and approved by the state, having completed all required licensing procedures. Confirm that your insurance can be paid through the provider. Lastly, verify that any vehicles and equipment are in top-notch, professional working order in compliance with all safety regulations. Non-emergency medical transportation is a helpful alternative.

Selecting a medical specialist to treat a condition can seem overwhelming at first, especially when your health is on the line. You need to take so many factors into consideration that, when you look at the process as a whole, it may make your head spin. Instead of worrying about the whole spectrum of specifics such as credentials, experience, personality, and other aspects all at once, simply take the decision process one step at a time. It will help you make a more informed decision while eliminating much of the stress you might otherwise encounter while making such an important choice.
First, you need to think about your current medical care. Are you searching for a specialist because your primary care physician suggested that you do so, or because you suspect that you need a specialist's help? If the latter is true, you may have to take a more difficult road in order to been seen by a specialist. Often, specialists will refuse to meet with patients who don't have a referral from a primary care physician because they want to first establish that the patient truly needs specialized care. So the first step to finding the right specialist is make sure that you need one, and you can do that by visiting a primary care doctor. You may learn that your condition can be treated in the doctor's office without the need for an expensive visit to specialist. If the doctor recommends that you find a specialist, ask if he or she has a suggestion as to which one would suit your needs best. The majority of specialists see patients recommended to them by primary care physicians, after all.
If your doctor makes several suggestions, or you're searching for the right specialist on your own, you need to consider some basic issues. For example, how far away is each practice? If you believe you'll need to see this specialist many times, it is prudent to find one close to your home for maximum convenience. You can also take opinions from friends, family, and even online reviewers into account when looking for your specialist. Once you've narrowed your search to a few choices, make appointments with each doctor to discuss their credentials and experience in person. It's important to trust that your health care providers truly have the knowledge to provide the best treatment possible, but also remember that patient care is nearly as important. You should also think about whether the specialists you're considering invite you to ask questions and whether they allot you enough time to discuss your condition and possible treatments.
Once you find a medical professional that has the appropriate combination of knowledge and experience, as well as a bedside manner that suits your personal preferences, it's time to schedule an appointment to discuss treatments for your condition. This process might could be very time-consuming, but it can be well worth the effort to find a specialist who makes you feel comfortable enough to discuss all of your concerns in detail.

It can be easy to forget that, even with all the medical staff around you at a doctor's office or hospital, you are always at the center of your own medical care. Even with all of their years of medical experience, the health care professionals surrounding you can improve your care if you communicate with them on a regular basis. The first step to keeping these lines of communication open is to get used to asking your doctor or other health care professionals questions when you have concerns about your care. The questions you'll ask will obviously vary depending on your current condition, but here are few suggestions.
In case of a new diagnosis, be sure to learn everything you can from your doctor. It may be advisable to write down their responses for future reference, or to bring along a friend or loved one to do so for you. Ask about the basic facts of your condition, such as the cause of the condition, symptoms it can cause and the usual course of treatment. You'll also want to know how this diagnosis might affect your daily life, both at home and at work, because you may need to rethink some of your everyday tasks when confronting a new condition. Also be sure that your health care provider thoroughly and carefully explains any tests he or she plans to run – you'll need to know whether the tests will indicate a diagnosis, help the medical professionals decide a course of care, provide a connection to another condition, or give the doctor a gauge for how concerning the condition might be. As you and your health care provider trade questions and answers, be sure that you understand what they're saying completely to avoid any confusion down the road.
After you've established some basic knowledge about your illness, you'll need to address the kind of treatment the doctor advises. In some cases, the best course of action might be to just wait and see how your condition develops, but your health care provider might wish to commence treatment as soon as possible. Ask him or her to walk you through the various treatment options available to you, explaining the benefits and downsides to every choice. Included in these descriptions should be the important factors, such as the possible side effects, the efficacy, cost, and expected duration for each option. You can also question what would happen if treatment were to be delayed or avoided, which can help you judge which option you'll choose, if and when you do commence treatment.
If it appears that surgery may be on the horizon for you, it's likely that your health care provider will sit down with you to explain the reasons for the surgery, the actual procedure, and the recovery process in at least one appointment – your surgeon will probably talk with you as well. Before deciding to have surgery, be sure that you know why the doctor is recommending the procedure for you and how it can improve your condition. Get to know more about the surgery itself by asking about the procedure, alternative ways to perform the procedure, and the risks of each method. Once you believe you understand the effects such a surgery may have on you, you'll also want to ask about the cost of such a procedure.
These areas are simply jumping-off points for you to discuss with your doctor. You can expand upon them and come up with your own, more specific questions as needed, but just be sure that you have open discussions with the professionals involved in your health care.
