The energy of love and it's defiance to be understood is what makes it so utterly astounding.

Thoughts from the human mind cause emotions to intermix, contradict, and repel one another. They cause pain, fear, confusion, joy and all the fluctuations in between. The mind can make you irrational, unrealistic, and foolish. It can bring sorrow when there is none, doubt with no issue, and weakness without the loss of strength. It can bend and mold in unhealthy ways, and make misery where it has no company. The mind is as logical as it is illogical, bound as it is free, and ingenuously stupid. The mind is the most amazing and revolting part of our human anatomy. The heart on the other hand, makes you physically feel true emotions abound, transcend, and it can mesmerize you. Does the mind let the heart take over in matters of love? Why is it felt in our chest, in the deepest part of it?

It seems as though the greatest decisions come from the heart,it seems to fuel the conscious, feed the soul, and make love outstanding.

To fathom the deepness of the habitual traits of true love and constantly finding happiness and sensual bliss with one person for multitudes of years is astounding.

To walk each path of life together no matter which way the fork leads and to form a bond so strong that death could not break it, reveals that love is unconquerable.

No human love is perfect, if it were it would cease to exist, but what are these connections, these ties that bind us to a person and conforms us to them until our last word is spent? No love is simple, but more complex at times than answers to the universe. It causes a person to perform the most idiotic and most amazing performances the world has ever seen. Love has no boundaries, no limit, and has endless possibilities. Love can take and give life without question.

It is by far the most misunderstood, most necessary, and strangest of all emotions we know. Love is the brightest light and the darkest chasm a human must endure.

You would count every star for just a glance. You would count every blade of grass for just one touch. You would catch every raindrop to keep them dry and warm. That is what true love is. It is so difficult to contain it. If someone tells you that you are a fool in love, take that as a compliment. It may mean they envy you and are jealous of the feelings you have discovered. It is a blessing and a curse. It is a double-edged sword that cuts you no matter which way you handle it.

Be thankful that you have them and do not forget that. If you do not have love, do not fret, it will be at your doorstep soon enough. Apologize when you are wrong and do not be selfish when you are right. You cannot control it.

Just hold on for the ride and see where it takes you. It truly is the greatest gift bestowed upon human beings. We constantly take it for granted and do not always use it for what it was intended. People tend to give up on love after their heart has been torn out and kicked around. They adamantly defy it, do not want it, but then, someone opens the locked door and renews their faith in it. Love is cleverly deceptive, it can be wonderful and horrible within the span of one minute. It causes you to let your guard down making you do, try, and say things you never would have before.

Love costs nothing, maybe we should snatch up and use as much as we can while we still draw breath in this life.

    (For long version see God)

    God Bless,

I went to walmart 2 nights ago and had a very fun experience. I was going there for a chocolate cake. Cash in hand and ready to rock. That is it. Chocolate cake. Then....my wife calls me and asks me to check her friend's bridal registry and get a bed set for her that is on her list. So, I automatically start drooling and doing the duuuuuuhhh thing.

Since it is midnight, I ask a cashier where the registry "machine" thing is. She tells me go to the customer service desk and ask. Well, I go over there and stand for 10 minutes and assume it is closed. So after feeling like a total nutcase for 10 minutes, a cleaning guy comes by and says, "they are closed". So obviously smoke starts to come out of my ears. I go to another cashier and ask again and she tells me it is by the jewelry counter! GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

I walk over to the counter and find the registry and put in the info and wait for the list to print. Paper gets stuck. I pull it out and it doesnt print so i have to do it again. As I wait for the 1 page I think is printing, it spits out 8 pages! It also takes at least 30 seconds to print each one! I get the pages and then I have to go find this stupid bed set.

I am in a pair of shorts with no pockets and I am holding my keys, wallet, cell and this encyclopedia of a bridal registry. I go across the store (about 2 miles I guess) and search for this bed set. I get to the bed section and of course I have an item # and name for it but no clue whatsoever what it looks like! I start rummaging through the bed sets (3 aisles of them) and I finally find it. I have already been in wally world for 45 minutes by the way. I find it and now have cell phone, keys, wallet, bed set (with handle woohoo), and my wife calls and tells me we need trash bags.

So, I find the aisle marked trash bags and it is about a mile south from where the bedding was. I go into to the aisle with all of this crap I am carrying and guess what?! No trash bags. I then proceed to find a stocker and ask him where trash bags are. He says, "aisle 13". Guess where aisle 13 is? A mile north next to the bedding section!!!!! So I head to aisle 13 and the aisle is blocked so I have to walk half a block to get down the other side to get trash bags. Finally, carrying trash bags, bed set, keys, wallet, and cell I come across a stray cart.

Felt like I just had 100 PIPS sign-ups just fell from the sky! It was sweeeeeeet! Put everything in the cart and started to push and a freaking rock is jammed in the front wheel! I wrestle the rock out and then of course and opposite wheel wobbles. I did not care if it had 2 wheels and a dog house dragging from it...myself and this cart were getting out of this prison no matter what.

I head toward check out and forgot the chocolate cake! No reason to go home if I don't have the chocolate cake. I would be homeless. Remember that is the reason I went there in the first place. Isn't that funny? HAHA. You laugh at my pain. So, I go to get the cake and there it is. I have never seen a more beautiful cake in my life. I pick it up and........drop it. No harm no foul. I flip it over and grab another just like it and grab a case of pop on the way to the register.

Since it is now almost 1 AM, they are cleaning the floors and have a little aisle roped off that you are supposed to get a wobbly cart through. It is about 12" wide and I knock over a stand that they had the rope tied to. I pick that up and finally get to check out. Scan everything run my credit card and TA DA! Finished! Wrong!!!

I look at my receipt and was charged for 2 cases of pop instead of 1. At $4.98 a case that is a good deal but I am not giving away 5 bucks to a multi-billion dollar company. I turn to look for the cashier and *poof* she is gone. Must be related to Copperfield I thought. So, I track her down and she says I can wait for someone to come up and credit my card or grab another case of pop. So knowing how fast I could be at grabbing another case, I took option B. I go to grab a case and the cashier tells the night manager and she OK's it. I grab a case and head for the door like a kid running for the Christmas tree on Christmas morn.

I get to the door and I get stopped and have to show my receipt. They can't help you with anything or have things were they are supposed to be, but hey they know if you grab something. I explain it to him, he sees it on my receipt, but he has to confirm it with the manager!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!! If I wasn't a humble person, you all would have seen me on Fox news as the man on a rampage in Walmart tearing the store apart. He comes back 5 minutes (not kidding) later. Lets me go. I walk out a free man!

It is now almost 1:30 AM and I cannot find my car. I have been in that !#@$%!$ store for an hour and a half and forgot 3/4 of my life in that time span. I get to my car and load up. As I go to close the trunk, I drop the bag holding the cake that I was going to put in the front with me so I did not smash it! I grab the cake which made it through with very minor lacerations and take off like a man buying crap for his wife in Walmart. I get home and vow to never go to Walmart again. (Went back yesterday for veggies).

    Murphy's Law my butt!

    Walmart's Law now baby!

The moral to this story? Don't give up until you have your cake and eat it too!

    God Bless,

Let me give a little bit of background on my latest "wedding" experience this past weekend. Of course this wedding was all planned out.

    Whatever.

If I am anywhere near anything, everything changes. I just have that effect. Kind of like a clogged toilet with no plunger. My wife works with this young lady who was getting married. I have met her once or twice and my wife is not really that close at all to her.

My wife was to be a bride's maid (bride's matron for you politically correct knuckleheads). Somehow within a week of the wedding, my wife became the Maid (Matron) of Honor and somehow I became an usher! The bride-to-be sent a ~txt msg 2 my wfe n axed her to c if I wud bn ushr.~ My wife asked/told me to be an usher and I said, "Why, who died"? Then my wife explained that they only have one other usher and they need another so I said, "no". Why is no a wrong answer? I get told "NO" all of the time!

Women have a way of beating there men into submission without throwing a single punch or kitchen utensil (had a donut thrown at me once). It is called the "cut-off tactic". Every married person reading this knows exactly what I am talking about. Women shaking there head up and down saying, "That is right, that is right"!

Men don't lie to yourself. Sitting there saying, "I get it when I want it"!

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA---Wake up man!

The cruelest form of torture ever known to man. So I very reluctantly said YES. I will be in any stupid freaking wedding because I am not giving up my vittles!!!!

Do you know how much crap costs for weddings? It was not even our wedding. We hardly knew them. I asked my wife if we were renewing our vows because we hadn't spent that much money since our own wedding. She told me to "pipe it" (feisty she is---me likes).

I felt like I was handing out money like free "runaway bride" bobble heads at a baseball stadium.

We buy all of this stuff and I have issues of course, mainly with this dress my wife will wear only once! I asked her, "Why don't they rent dresses like they do suits and tuxes for men"? You would just think that I had said the most horrible statement any person could utter. She said, "That is a no-no. Women do not like to wear something other women have worn". "Why not"? My wife gives me this look I have never seen before and says, "I don't think so. I am not wearing some dress after some hoochie momma had it on. No thank you". I told her that it must be because women fart in it and don't want to absorb another woman's fragrance!

    The Rehearsal

The plan for rehearsal is do the walk through and then everyone go have dinner. We get there and everyone is standing there watching the bride's dad planting a tree. We were told that it would be a semi-formal dinner. We get there and everyone is in jeans or shorts and t-shirts! Here I am in a tie and it is 88 degrees outside?! So I lose the tie, just bite my tongue, and follow the crowd. As you can tell my overload meter is starting to climb. I have only been there 15 minutes.

We head down this pathway about 400 yards to the area where the wedding is to be held. There is a tree lined path which I would like to term "mosquito alley". We get there the Pastor is ready to go, but guess what? 200 chairs need to be put out. So I start carrying chairs. Why didn't they have this done already? So I am sweating my butt off as I look over and the bride and groom- to-be are standing there watching!! Everyone is carrying these chairs, even the Pastor!

I will help anyone with anything, but this was ridiculous.

    Why can't I be quite?

I said, "Hey! I have at least 10 years on both of you and I barely know either one of you. So I suggest you drop the googly eyes and get over here and help". I told them my "temporary worker permit expires in 5 minutes. You work today and stand and look pretty tomorrow". I try to refrain, I really do. Just at times it is soooo hard not to. After half an hour of rearranging the chairs 5467 times we start the walk through. Or so I thought. They have the main aisle where the bride, etc. will walk up all laid out, but the fancy flower pots are not lined up. So they consult each other for another 20 minutes until I finally walk over and pick one up and turn it. "Perfect", the brides mom finally says. Why was that so hard, I kept asking myself? 10 people trying to get one flower pot straight! For the love of all get out!

The Pastor finally walks us through and then it is time to eat. Eat + me in the same sentence is a good thing! (No, not eat me)

Not so fast hungry man. "Can you help me a minute", says the bride's mom. You ever heard a lion growl? That was me. I was sweating, losing 5 pints of blood to mosquitoes and now she wants me to help place candles out. They have 17 acres and there are places for candles over half of that. I have never seen so many candle holders in my life. You would think a Home Interiors plane had crashed in their yard. We get the candle distribution done and then go eat. Finally.

The groom has a surprise Bachelor party come up and his little fiance is fuming! She just glared at him with the I will kill you look. Seen it many times so I know what I am talking about. I asked him if he had life insurance, because he would probably not make it another week pulling that kind of stuff on her. I told her, I'snt marriage grand! You havent seen anything yet. You need to learn the cut-off tactic. Then, my wife punched me in the arm. What did I do?

    Wedding Day

They want us there at 3:30PM. 2 hours before to take pictures?!? I thought those were taken after the actual wedding? Whatever. This wedding was weird enough anyway. Remember the candles? Mom wants them all lit. Guess who gets the honor?

So, as I am wandering the 10 acres that these candles are covering, I burn the fluid out of brand new lighter. The extended kind you light a grill with!

That is how many candles there were. That took me 45 minutes. After I light them all her mom comes out and says, "Did you light them all"? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! "Yes". She says, "These did not light. Can you light them again, please? I will get you another lighter". I told her, "They blow out because of the breeze". Did I get the response thanks for trying or that will be fine or oh well we tried?

    Ummmm NO!

So, I re-light the 5 billion flipping candles that have blown out and then get ready to start ushering people to their seats. I really wanted to say to the guests just sit where you want. Don't get me wrong, everything was beautiful and they had the right ideas, but it was too hot and candles don't stay lit too well in a breeze in the MIDDLE of the day! I went through 2 grill lighters that carry a couple gallons of lighter fluid and most of the candles were out when the ceremony started anyway.

    Go figure.

They brought the guests down in a horse and carriage. Nice touch except the horses did not have a bag on the poop deck if you know what I am saying. Everyone signs the guestbook (should have put my website in there--shoot!), grabs their wedding thingy, and wait in the shade because it is very hot and humid.

Finally (the crowd goes wild) the wedding gets started and everyone is seated, baking in the 90 degree heat with no shade and now biting flies are out. My wife had one chew off half of her arm because she had to hold 2 bouquets and could not move because of the ceremony. Felt so bad for her, but I could not walk up and smack her on the arm in front of 200 people. It would have made good TV though (just kidding). People are getting chewed up, sweating, and on top of that there is an opera singer. It is way too hot and humid for ear piercing notes. Not one wedding song. Not 2. 4 songs! It seemed every time the Pastor finished a sentence, there would be a song. I wanted to die of heatstroke.

The best part was near the end when they had a reading of a prayer by the brides grandparents. They had them on these scrolls that you could read with them. Then the grooms grandma wanted in on the action. She slams her wheelchair into full speed and nails the best man who had his backed turned. She wanted under that gazebo for the reading and knocked his feet right out from under him! I dont think the Great wall would have stopped her. That made my day a lot better for a brief moment.

They finish the ceremony and then the horse carriage takes the bridal party up to the reception tent. There is a catch though. Everyone is asked to carry their chairs the 400 yards up the hill to the reception tent. Guess who helps if they can't carry their chairs? GRrrrRRrrrrrRRRrrrrRRR...

So, I carried about 30. Most people walk through flower petals at weddings. We had fresh horse poo to walk through because the poop deck bags were not on the horses!!.

We get up to the reception tent and my head is fire red from the heat and they want more pictures. Fine. The newlyweds cut the cake and bring their piece they cut together over to the bridal party table to save it. As they walk away, one of the brides aunts or something comes over and talks to my wife. She was lit up on something. No one is that droopy eyed and happy all at once. She starts eating the piece of cake they wanted to save! I almost fell on the ground with laughter. This lady was going at that cake like there was no tomorrow. She says, "That was good cake" and gets up and leaves with icing all over her fingers and face. LOL!!!

I think I will start a bridal party rental service. Might as well get paid for being volunteered next time. So, if you or anyone you know has a wedding coming soon call me at 555-you-wish and leave a msg. Anyway, it was a beautiful wedding and reception overall. It is just the details that get to me, as usual.

    God bless,

Having success in the world of home business can be broken down into a miniscule form of rules or "keys" to make your website more approachable and viable. Using these core strengths will attract more visitors and keep you in the commitment of a tremendous habit that will accelerate your website credability and reliability. These tools are used by all successful home business marketers. Try to keep it simple and not get lost in the inferno of the mass amount of junk that is thrown around on the Internet.

I break this into 4 categories:

    Article Submission

    Blogs

    Forums

    Advertising

There are key elements to Internet marketing. This is the "core" that everything else revolves around. I have found this by observing, asking questions, and piggy-backing the successful home based entrepreneurs. When you have these core keys embedded into your mind and work ethic, everything else will fall into place.

Do the research as I did and you will find everything falls into these categories. Why? They all add valuable links to your website! The more links = higher SE ranking = more unique visitors = more profit for you!

For example, you can submit articles that you have written for free to article submission sites or you can pay for an article submission service. Blogs are free and easy to set-up and are very effective in putting your articles, videos, websites, etc. on the Web. Forums can also be found for free and every time you submit a topic or a reply it builds links to your website so long as you have your website in the "signature". Lastly, there are so many free classified ads services online and off that you can submit to these all day long and not even scratch the surface. All you have to do is look.

The thing is, there are some areas where free can be as good or better than paying for services. These are basic examples that anyone can use to promote any business with little or no money to invest promoting their site(s).Yes, this will take more persistence and work, but the efforts pay off over the long haul. If you want to pay for a service, check the company or sites track record, post questions to forums, and see what responses you will get. Try to use insight from those who have already took the hard road and follow the paved street they have left in their wake.

Remember these 4 core keys to home business and they will become a bountiful harvest over time.

    God Bless,

Teaching martial arts and Zen meditation, people will often ask what one has to do with the other. Without going into ten thousand word essay, let's just say that Zen helps one be mindful of their surroundings and that obviously has benefits to effective self defense. If you are mindful and somewhat calm, you will be able to utilize the martial art training when attacked. If your mind is wandering you won't see the attack coming. Very simple.

A very disturbing trend I see lately is now that everyone has an ipod, everyone is walking around in public with those tiny earphones shoved in their ears listening to music. I see people jogging, biking, walking, driving, etc, all while in their own world, unaware of what's going on around them. Very bad self defense. It's not that I don't like ipods, I own one and use it while I'm on my treadmill at home. I'm really not too concerned about being attacked or hit by a car in my upstairs bedroom. Public display of technology, such as cell phone or PDA use, has always annoyed me but from a rudeness stand point. This is just dangerous.

Being totally oblivious to your surroundings will get you seriously hurt or even killed. Whenever I see someone using an ipod in public, I know this person has never trained in any kind of serious martial art or awareness training. People never think anything will happen to them until it does. There are rapists out there who look for women, jogging alone, totally oblivious to anything around them often because of listening to an ipod. This is who they pounce on. Like a lion on a defenseless antelope.

I see people driving in cars wearing ipods. This is totally insane. A lot of how we react in preventing car accidents is because of what we hear. A horn, someone screeching tires, etc. Playing the radio in the car to loud can also be dangerous but the ipod completely blocks out ambient sounds.

Unplug those ipods before it's too late. Be aware of your surroundings. Don't walk, run, or drive through life just waiting to be a victim.

As a longtime sufferer of debilitating panic disorder, I know what the symptoms of panic attack are and what can help keep them at bay.

In fact, I'm living proof that you can beat panic disorder. And I can attest that Joe Barry's Panic Away Program was very helpful in ridding me of panic attack symptoms.

When I investigated Joe Barry's program, I became impressed not only by Joe's methods but also by his customer service. You see, Joe gives his clients one-on-one coaching sessions designed just for them to get over their particular panic disorder.

In my experience, Panic Away has been one of the easiest, fastest and best methods I've tried so far. And Joe's natural program is much cheaper than conventional therapy: Panic medication alone can cost you more in one month than the entire Panic Away program.

    • Is Panic Away really the best way to control your panic disorder?

    • Can Panic Away actually work for people with panic disorder? Anxiety attacks?

    • Does Panic Away really make a difference?...

Using natural and instant methods, such as his trademarked "One Move™ technique," Joe Barry's Panic Away Program promises to help you:

    * Reduce your fear of dying

    * Reduce your fear of losing control or consciousness

    * Reduce your fear of getting sick

    * Remove your fear of having another panic attack

    * Improve your control over your anxiety

    * Restore your sense of calm

    * Bring greater peace of mind

And here is what Panic Away is not:

    * A breathing or relaxation technique

    * An expensive treatment

    * A complicated multi-step program

This last part is very important, because anyone who has suffered panic attacks and disorder for any length of time has probably tried these methods. They work sometimes and for a period of time, but not always. Adding Panic Away to this arsenal may be a sound idea.

If the testimonials on the Panic Away website are any indication, I am not the ony person who has benefitted from Joe's methods - not by a long shot. It seems that Panic Away could help a tremendous amount of people.

Morever, the methods in Panic Away are so simple and natural, even children can learn them, which is great news for parents who don't want to medicate their children.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

It is inevitable for any computer user to be deleting files every once in a while. This is highly expected especially when you are dealing with files that contain classified information. These files may contain credit card details or social security information of certain people. This is why it is very important to delete these files as soon as they are no longer needed. This way, there would be no way for any hacker to infiltrate your system and get hold of this information. So, the deletion of these files should be enough, right? Unfortunately, it is not. What's even sadder is the fact that not a lot of people are aware that mere deletion is not enough at all.

When you remove recent files through deletion, the files do disappear from its source folder or drive. However, the memory that was once assigned to these files is still in existence. As long as the memory exists, there is every chance for hackers to infiltrate your system and retrieve the contents of the deleted files piece by piece. There is sophisticated software that can easily do this for hackers as well. Thus, mere deletion is not really enough.

A lot of people would suggest a reformat of your hard drive. Reformatting does go an extra step when you compare it to just deletion. However, this is still not the most efficient method in the market at all. Reformatting just erases the address tables of your computer. This would indeed make the piecing process of the deleted files' components more difficult. Still, this does not mean that it is no longer doable. The more experienced hackers can still piece these components together, as long as they know what they are doing. Thus, there is a need to go an extra step still.

One such method is the disk wiper. By the name itself, there is the act of wiping involved here. It is actually the memory space once assigned to the deleted files that is being wiped out here. The wiping out process is done by the overwriting of the memory as many times as needed. This way, the memory space would no longer contain remnants of the deleted files. You may think that you do not really need to get disk wipers because the creation of files can do the overwriting of memory space all on its own. Yes, you can choose to do this. However, you would have to create a lot of files so that the particular memory space can then be overwritten accordingly. Until such time that enough overwriting is done, you run the risk of the deleted files falling into the wrong hands.

Another method is to get file shredder software. What happens here is that the deleted file is digitally shred into bits and pieces before they are disposed into oblivion. This way, it would be very difficult for hackers to put back the shredded file piece by piece.

There are many disk wipers and file shredders that you can choose from in the market. The wise decision here is to go for the application that has the most features that can help you accordingly.

The methodology presented by Six Sigma techniques has certainly captured the attention of so many people in the professional realm. This is because there are many benefits any company can enjoy once these Six Sigma techniques are implemented in their system. All of these and more can be attributed to the growing need for Six Sigma professionals in just about any industry today. In fact, both private and public organizations offer a lot of Six Sigma job opportunities for those who are interested in delving into the field. Apart from that, there are also a lot of small businesses that are undertaking projects dealing with Six Sigma techniques. These projects also present a lot of Six Sigma job opportunities, since there is a strong and imminent need for consultants in the field.

In both Junior and Senior levels, there are several Six Sigma jobs that you can delve in, provided you have the training necessary for them. The requirements and responsibilities that come with the job would also vary, especially since organizations are unique on their own. But when it comes to the alternatives of training and recruitment, this would certainly depend on the needs of the company in question. For instance, there are companies that prefer to train their employees in the basics and ideologies of the Six Sigma method. This is quite effective, since the employees are already familiar with the current work procedures employed in the company. Thus, there would be further integration of the Six Sigma techniques into the work environment of the organization at hand.

However, there are also companies that prefer to hire outsiders as consultants when it comes to the incorporation of Six Sigma techniques. This is because outsiders have the ability to be impartial during the whole process of integrating such techniques. This way, there would be no biases whatsoever when the techniques are implemented accordingly.

Companies who are offering Six Sigma jobs prefer to hire individuals who are certified and recognized in the industry as Master Black Belts. These are the people who have been professionally trained in the different methodologies and techniques of Six Sigma. These are the people who can effectively act as Six Sigma program managers in the whole organization. What's more, they are the ones that even the Black Belts in the field would turn to for guidance. With Master Black Belts running the show, process improvement projects in the business setting can be overseen towards completion very efficiently. If you are interested in this position, then you have to be very, very sure about your qualifications since this position is just about at the highest level when it comes to Six Sigma experience.

Nonetheless, if you have the certification of being a Six Sigma Black Belt, then there would still be so many companies who would not hesitate to hire you. In fact, most companies actually prefer to hire Black Belts, since Master Black Belts are quite hard to find nowadays. The lot of them has already been hired by topnotch companies in the industry. So, if you are a Six Sigma Black Belt, then there surely is an enticing job waiting for you in the wings.

The DVD advertising scorecard is a measure for determining the efficiency of using the DVD as a primary marketing tool for promotion.

DVD advertising can be seen as an innovative alternative to CD advertising. Both of these media advertising techniques are tools containing catalogues with more advanced features containing images in audio and video qualities. DVD advertising, though somewhat similar to CD advertising, has been regarded to be more astute probably because of the popularity of DVDs among home theatre consumers and markets. But regardless of their distinct qualities, both of the advertising tools would have similar indicators to determine their efficacy in bringing awareness to the target audience.

Unlike other forms of advertising, DVD advertising is characterized by having high cost per contact. Promo-DVDs are considered to be expensive largely because of the advancement of technology used. Because of the involvement of exquisite cost, it is only proper to determine the effectiveness of the adverting tool.

DVDs are mostly used as advertising tools in the entertainment business. Because of its classification as cinema advertising, this form of advertising has been used by advertisers in targeting audience and markets. In this case, there is a good targeting approach making DVD advertising a viable tool for providing awareness directly to its target market. DVD advertising can be seen as support to advertisers and marketers that use direct marketing approach in advertising campaigns.

Advertisers and companies must be aware of the cost in developing this advertising tool. It is vital then to measure the cost prior to and after the stage of the marketing campaign. The cost, budget, and revenues are indicators of DVD advertising belonging to the financial perspective of the DVD advertising scorecard.

In the internal business perspective, there should be an involvement of evaluation by the stakeholders. Advertisers and companies must expose the promo material to the management, employees, shareholders, and other internal personnel for evaluation and appreciation before distributing it to the target market. The result of the activity can be used as indicator in the internal business approach of the scorecard.

Receiving feedback from stakeholders is as essential as receiving feedback from clients and target audiences. Advertisers and marketers can maintain a record of the number of promo material distributed and a list of potential markets and buyers. From the list, they can conduct inquiry to gain feedback, which is essential in determining the performance and factors for modification and improvement.

The customer perspective of the DVD advertising scorecard may include indicators, such as delivery performance to customer by date and volume, customer inquiry rate, and customer feedback. Inquiring the customer about the contents of the DVD advertising can be crucial in determining the quality of feedback and consistency of the advertising campaign.

The DVD advertising scorecard includes perspectives to derive the total performance of the marketing campaign. The indicators in DVD advertising are crucial in determining the performance of the perspectives in the scorecard. Using DVD advertising metrics is important to help advertisers determine and plan the contents and features for another DVD advertising campaign.

There is no argument that good and proper use of performance metrics can help organizations to better understand its overall efficiency and effectiveness – whether in terms of people, processes or programs. However, many leading organizations do not just stop at collecting and analyzing performance data. They go out of their way to use performance as a driving tool to improvements and turn strategy into successful action. Simply put, leading organizations use performance metrics for effective management.

Usually, leading organizations that differentiate themselves from all other organizations have measures that are well understood and agreed upon by managers; associate strategic and operational measures together; regularly update their scorecards; balance financial and non-financial performance measurements and effectively relay measures and its progress to employees.

Over the past few years, the balance scorecard has become an important measurement system that is being used in many organizations to measure management performance. This tool translates a company's goals and objectives into a set of comprehensive performance measures that give a strategic framework for effective management system. Basically, the balance scorecard is a visual representation of the company's strategy. It is designed to measure the success of an organization, department or business unit, balance short term and long term plans and various success measures such as customer, financial, internal business processes as well as Human Resources development and systems. Moreover, the balance scorecard is also a means of merging strategy with action measures.

The Human Resources department plays an important role in measuring an organization's performance by indicating the extent of employee contribution to the organization. The HR department should view the rest of the entity as a customer. This can be achieved by developing human capital in the organization, which can be measured by putting up a HR balance scorecard.

The HR department is mainly responsible for workforce management and it can also play a crucial role in the financial performance of the organization and the quality of customer service as well. Workforce management constitutes the recruitment and selection process, employee compensation and benefits, turnover issues and information resource concerning HR issues. They can also address the organizational needs by evaluating different departmental goals and strategies and see how the department itself can meet the goals of the other departments in terms of employee issues.

When implementing an effective HR balance scorecard system, there should be strategic focus, assessment, change in planning and implementation and continuous improvement. The assessment phase involves several step such as audit measures, developing new necessary measures, application of new measures, analysis and report. Moreover, implementation of track metrics and revisiting scorecard cascade should also be taken for continuous improvement as well.

However, there may be a number of barriers to developing an effective performance measurement system. These include unclear objectives and informal feedback systems, excessive measurement systems in the organization or deep-rooted management systems. The HR department should be able to deal with these barriers to effectively implement the balance scorecard.

The HR balance scorecard system is a major tool for many organizations. A solid performance measurement foundation promotes an organization that is well disciplined, better management and more successful.

There are so many companies all over the world who overlook the simple act of employing hypothec metrics and the hypothec scorecard. But this is actually something that should not be overlooked at all. When these are employed, particularly the hypothec scorecard, then corporate managers will then reap the benefits. But what exactly is the hypothec scorecard all about?

The underlying concept of the hypothec scorecard is pretty simple and direct to the point. Its main function is to assess the many organizational activities in a company, to ensure that the corporate objectives that have been originally set will be achieved and realized. When dealing with the hypothec scorecard, it is important to make mention of metrics.

Metrics actually refer to parameters of measurement that are used in the goal of achieving quantitative assessments. Surprisingly and ironically, executives and managers at the corporate level actually find it a bit difficult to determine which of the many metrics to use in effectively describing company performance. The fact that there are many metrics and measurements that you can get from collective corporate databases all over the world actually contributes to this bit of difficulty. But with the help of thorough analysis, the metrics that are relevant towards the overall goals of the company can then be determined easily. The key to this is the use of key performance indicators, which are also known as KPIs. KPIs are crucial aspects that are used as the basis of the operations and performance of a particular company.

The foundation of the hypothec scorecard dates back to 1992, which was pioneered by David P. Norton and Robert S. Kaplan. This particular approach has the aim of developing a set of criteria that is deemed balanced all throughout. This set of criteria is then used in the assessment and evaluation of corporate performance. Moreover, the balanced scorecard aims to achieve the corporate objectives that are aligned with the mission and the vision of the company. Because there are so many metrics that the company can choose from, it is important to come up with a hypothec scorecard, which is laden with hypothetical metrics to be used to assess corporate performance. Hypothetical metrics are then needed, so that corporate executives can determine if the hypothetical parameters currently in use are then effective to their purpose.

There are four main categories under which the relevant metrics would fall. These are the four categories: Financial perspectives, Customer perspectives, Internal Business Process perspectives, and Learning and Growth perspectives. The approach clearly goes beyond the financial aspects of a company. This is a strong indication that the balanced hypothec scorecard takes a well-rounded approach in ensuring overall corporate performance.

Aside from corporate performance, the company's progress is also evaluated and assessed. This is very important because what company would not want to know of their progress, right? With the implementation of the hypothec scorecard, corporate managers and executives can then have the needed information in making life-changing decisions for the company. With such guidance, it would be so much easier to keep the company walking on the right path.

In marketing dictionary, benchmark is defined as the standard by which all items of similar nature can be compared or assessed. These standards can be used in comparison with other items belonging to the same industry, between competitors, and with other businesses.

There are different marketing benchmarks that can be emulated by other businesses. The importance of the benchmarks is that for businesses, especially the start-ups, to have clear ideas and views on how to handle the marketing aspect of the business and the entire business organization by emulating or comparing the practices of successful companies. Through benchmarking and the existence of marketing benchmarks, start-ups and small businesses can still have the opportunity to grow and succeed.

Because of the prevalent presence of media in the modern world, benchmarking may not be as difficult as it seemed before. This may save a business the cost to hire espionage to illegally tap or scan the operations of other businesses. Though the existence of confidentiality in different forms of one entity cannot be eliminated, a lot of businesses have gained from the marketing practices of successful enterprises through benchmarking.

What are the various forms of marketing benchmarks?

As defined, marketing benchmarks are standards used for comparison in marketing. Hence, the status of successful companies can be considered as marketing benchmarks. The reputation of a commercial entity when it comes to customer service is also a marketing benchmark.

The creative aspect of advertisement is a form of marketing benchmark. What makes it a benchmark is that it provides the chance for other marketers and businesses to adopt the creative strategy.

The manner of representing a client in which other people have the idea is another form of marketing benchmark. Some businesses have the freedom to follow the practices of successful marketers and entities when the practices are proven to provide benefits. The success of direct marketing and affiliate marketing and of direct marketers and affiliate marketers can be benchmarked and emulated. Meanwhile, a particular marketing campaign, which draws a large throng of customers and has been lucrative on its own, can be seen as a benchmark as well.

Media has great influences with the different marketing benchmarks that it has. Through media, businesses that are still on the starting age or recovery stage can follow the marketing practices of successful enterprises. Through benchmarking, big companies can compare their practices and processes with other companies and can make assessment and evaluation of a certain benchmark.

Marketing surveys that are published publicly can be considered as benchmarks. Surveys are conducted to gain information for whatever purposes deemed worthy. They also provide the chance for other businesses to know different details of information about certain things of their concerns.

Marketing benchmarks can be seen published on the Internet. The performance of a hot marketing practice can be benchmarked on news and publications. A new product with a unique, cutting-edge technology can be considered a benchmark of old products and for the development and emergence of other new products.

A particular achievement in the marketing field, it can become a benchmark for others to look up to, appreciate, and adhere. The existence of marketing benchmarks provides a win-win mark for marketing enterprises and other commercial entities.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

A product is considered new if it entirely opens up a new market, replaces an existing product or significantly broadens the market for the said existing product. Old products may be considered new when introduced to a new market, newly packaged or is marketed in a different approach.

Some new product sources include academic institutions, acquisition, competition, customers, external investors and internal product development. Development and launch of new products can be very expensive and risky. In fact it is generally said to be riskier than market development or penetration. A way to make sure that the money used in developing new products does not go to waste or to reduce flops in new product launches is to adopt the new product development process.

This process constitutes generation of ideas, selection of new ideas, development and testing of concepts, business analysis, marketing strategy and many others. Planning and measuring of the new product's success may be done against how it performs at various stages of the product life cycle – that is if the company uses this control method over the products' progress. Important stages to consider when it comes to new product launch are the introduction, growth and maturity. The company, however, can choose other indicators as well.

For instance, indicators such as revenue from new product sales, cash flow and profit margin will indicate the performance of a new product from the financial standpoint. New products, however, are usually subject to loss at the introductory stage due to inadequate demand, research and development costs, high fixed costs and others. This must be taken into account when establishing objectives and gauging results.

Also, market share growth serves as a positive success indicator although this may not apply to all products or markets. For instance, there are some niche products or a specific product that is new and needs to open its own market.

Internal perspective indicators constitute indicators that show how the processes within the company affect the new product's success in terms of development and launch. These indicators are budget and schedule compliance, new product development evaluation, marketing mix and occurrence of shortages or excess of new products and resources. Going beyond the budget or schedule or regular shortages show that something could be wrong in the company's operations, which may lead to failure in new product development and launch.

Moreover, frequent evaluation of the new product development process and the marketing mix quality can help boost company expertise as well as identify changes or modifications that can be established to improve product performance as well as the company's performance overall.

The next set of indicators shows how new product launch can affect the situation in the company. Additionally, customer perspective indicators include repurchase rate, number of complaints and customer awareness of new products. When you have a lot of files that contain confidential information stored on your computer, what do you typically do? The correct answer here is to delete them as soon as you are done processing these files, so that no hacker can infiltrate your system and get hold of these classified files. This is a very important thing to do, especially when you are connected to the Internet for business day in and day out. By just being connected to the net, you are actually putting yourself at the mercy of the thousands upon thousands of hackers all over the world. The responsible thing to do here would then be to delete these files.

But is the deletion of files enough? Is the process guaranteed to keep classified information as secure as it should be? The sad answer to this is a resounding no.

Upon the creation of any type of file, there is actually memory space allotted to it. It does not matter what type of file you create, for there will indeed be memory space allotted to it. When you delete a certain file, the file does disappear from the folder that it used to occupy. This is because the file is moved from its original location to the Recycle Bin. However, the memory space that it used to occupy is not wiped out. You may wonder to yourself, what's the big deal; it's just memory space anyway? You just might be surprised at how much of a big deal this can be.

Hackers and infiltrators of computer systems can make use of sophisticated software and programs to retrieve the deleted file just from that remaining memory space. That particular memory space will continue to exist until such time that another file would be created and that memory space will then be overwritten by the space that has been assigned to the new file. During that period when the space is not yet overwritten with the new file, well, you would actually be at the mercy of the many hackers in the system.

You are then in need to have a file wiper installed in your system. With this application, you not only delete the file from the original folder that it used to occupy. You also wipe the space that it used to occupy as well. Thus, the reason behind the name of the software itself. The action of wiping here means that the memory space is completely wiped out of its existence. Thus, there would be no remaining bits and pieces of the old file that hackers can try to piece together.

There is also another advantage that you can enjoy with the installation of a file wiper. The application is actually very effective in the reinstallation of operating systems. Operating systems that have been badly infected with viruses, adware, spyware, and other types of malware need not be deemed useless when you have a reliable file wiper. The file wiper can conduct a complete cleansing and wiping of your hard disk, making it all the more easier to reinstall your preferred operating system. With these many benefits, having a file wiper does become a very appealing alternative!

Because PDF files have certainly become very popular in use, there would definitely be so many PDF files stored in just about any personal computer. Whether you use this computer for business or personal use, there will definitely be many PDF files saved. And there will surely come a time when you would need to lift or use a particular PDF file from the many files that you have. But what if you do not remember the exact filename, or even bits and pieces of the filename, then you will surely have a hard time browsing through the many folders that contain PDF files. This is precisely why it is important for you to create index for your PDF files.

There are so many applications all over the web and the computer industry that can help you create such a scenario for your PDF files. And if you have one of these applications, then you will definitely see just how convenient having this can be. One particular scenario that would make you feel so grateful to have the application handy is when you need a certain PDF file or a number of PDF files for a presentation or report that you are giving. Let us say that the meeting is starting in just a matter of minutes, and you still do not have the PDF files that you need. With the help of the application, and the creation of index for your PDF files, the search for these files can be made so much easier.

But you should not rely on the application that you have installed in your system alone. Mind you, there are still certain steps that you would have to undertake, so that the system can be as efficient as it ought to be. So, just what are these steps?

The first step is that you should choose how you want to create an index for your PDF files. You have a couple of choices here. You can choose to go with the short index or the long index. The short index pertains to just keywords that are contained in the text portion of your PDF files. The long index, however, has the contents of your PDF files in full.

Once you have cleared the first step, the next is to decide the file path for your system. One option here is to create a full path so that you can save the file index anywhere you want to. Another option is to create a relative path, by means of a searchable CD. The next step is then to select the target location where you want the index to be saved. Thus, whenever you create an index for a PDF file, it would be stored in the target location.

Once you're done here, you can then choose the folders and the particular PDF files that you want to index. When these files have been specified, you can then let your reliable application do the rest of the work for you! The application will then proceed to indexing your PDF files, just as you have specified in your settings. Thus, when you want to create index for your PDF files, you really do not have to do so much on your part! This is indeed an easy process to complete!

When it comes to the office suites offered by Microsoft today, a large portion of the market would definitely say that Microsoft Office 2003 and Microsoft Office 2007 would be the premier products to have. This is because both of these suite applications offer so much in terms of tools, features, applications, and the lot that make office life so much easier for the common professional. But when you compare Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007, that's a different story.

If you are one of the many people who have Microsoft Office 2003 installed on their personal computers and laptops, then you will surely be interested in what the 2007 version has to offer you. You may think that the 2003 application is satisfactory already, which is really true. The 2003 version has indeed been quite the milestone in processing Word files, Excel sheets, and the whole shebang. But if you keep insisting that the 2003 edition is the best, then you have yet to try out the 2007 version. Because if you have already tried the 2007 version, then you just might have to change your mind about the 2003 version holding the title of the best version Microsoft has ever produced.

One of the major changes that come with the 2007 version is its digital signature. The digital signature of the recent version makes use of XMLDSig for its formatting. This is actually quite different from that of the 2003 version. If you have been training with Microsoft Office 2003 and you're now with the 2007 edition, then this will be one of the first changes you just might notice. Also, the digital signature's location has been moved. It can now be found under the File tab, Finalize Document tab, then Signatures. The 2003 version had the signature under the Tools tab before. The change has been made to make the signature easier to locate for users.

Another new feature that makes a pretty interesting change is the Microsoft Office ribbon. This can actually be found at the upper left portion of the screen. The ribbon has replaced the usual File tab that you can see in Microsoft Office 2003. The ribbon still performs the main function of the File tab, which includes Open, Save, Save As, Send, Print, and more. It's a feature that a lot of 2007 users welcome with open arms.

There's also the latest tabbed menu feature that makes the application very convenient to use. Remember the many drop-down menus that came with Microsoft Office 2003? These are no longer present in the 2007 version, now that there are tabbed menus all over already. The tabbed menus are all over the screen, and once you click them, the sub-menus are displayed right below. With the tabbed menus comes the hovering effect feature as well.

Let us pretend you are using the Microsoft Word processor, and you wish to change the font color from black to red. All you need to do is highlight the word, and then hover over the tab that would make the change for you. Once you do hover your mouse over the appropriate tab, a preview of the feature is then given, so that you would have a clear explanation of what's going to happen once the changes are implemented. This is indeed a very convenient feature!

These are just some of the interesting features you will find when you compare Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007. You will surely find more engaging features for yourself as well.

PDF files, or Portable Document Format files, are just about as close to Microsoft Word files when it comes to popularity. More and more people are using PDF files for their own purposes, particularly because of the convenience that the format brings. Even the typical presentation and the usual eBook are now being converted to PDF, since the format brings easy viewing. Aside from that, you won't have to worry about manipulating PDF files because this is very easy to do. Making the file either bigger or smaller for comfortable viewing can be done in a jiff. With so much convenience, you can expect any system to have a lot of PDF files stored. But what happens when you are in a hurry and you need to find a particular PDF file? Here lies the importance of indexing PDF files.

Hypothetically, you are in a rush to give a presentation at work, and you need to find a particular PDF file for it. Unfortunately, it was your colleague who saved the PDF file onto your system, and he cannot remember the exact location where he saved it, nor can he remember the exact filename. You may think this is not possible, since he is the one who saved the file in the first place. But when you are at work and you deal with hundreds of PDF files each day, this is actually quite a common error. This is precisely why it would be wise to incorporate the indexing of PDF files. Remember how the typical index page at the back of a book works? The same underlying concept is incorporated here. The better thing, though, is when you index PDF files; you are actually given a little peek of the file's contents. This way, it's easier for you to determine if the file at hand is indeed the file you have been looking for. What's more, if there are any changes made to the file, the stored information will also be updated automatically.

So, just how do you do this? There are various applications that can help you out here. Also, there are simple steps to doing this. First is you need to choose how you want to create an index. You can choose either the short index or the full index. The short index would just contain keywords from the contents of your files. The full index would contain the full contents of your files. Just choose which makes your operations more convenient to handle. The next step is to decide the path of the file. A full path can be chosen so that you can save it just about anywhere. Or, you can creafte relative path information, which entails the creation of a searchable CD.

Next is to choose where you want the index to be saved. This is very important because you are specifying the target location for each file to be saved, whenever you create an index. Make sure to specify the particular folders you want to index, and select the individual files for processing as well. Once you've completed all these steps, the application you've chosen will now do the work for you! Indexing PDF files is indeed that easy!

What is a business without sales and productivity? It would become an utter failure, right? This is because both sales and productivity are very much needed when it comes to ensuring the success of a certain business. But when you coin these two concepts together, the resultant concept may be a bit too vague for you. Still, when you are in the volatile world of business, it is very important to understand the concept as much as possible.

What exactly is sales productivity all about it? What does this concept have that requires much importance from companies all over the world? To completely grasp the concept, you need to define both concepts of productivity and sales separately.

In its most basic form, productivity is actually labor in its total amount, as needed in accomplishing certain tasks or processes entailed in the operations of a certain company. Let us take the common scenario of content writing, for instance. The typical writer can complete an assigned task of 5 different topics in a span of 1 to 2 days. This is the usual flow of the typical content writer, during an ordinary work day. But there certainly comes a time when there would be a rush project that the content writer needs to complete as soon as possible. For example, the rush project comes in, and 20 different topics are to be assigned to the writer. What's more, the rush project has to be completed within the same designated period, which is 2 days at the most. If you were in the position of the content writer, then it would be fair to say that you would not be completing just 5 topics in a day. Roughly, you would have to complete 10 topics in a single workday. In this scenario, there should then be a delicate balance between quality and quantity, for you can never sacrifice either of the two. Thus, for your business to be more productive, the management should develop says and means for writing potential to be maximized without having to sacrifice the quality of the articles produced in the whole process.

The concept is pretty similar when you have sales in mind. Let us say that the monetary equivalent of your efforts in writing an article amounts to $5. That article is then sold to your client at $10, which means you have a net profit of $5. But as you get better in your craft, it would be expected that your sales cost would also decrease. However, if your sales cost remains the same, then something is definitely wrong with the picture. You have certainly become stagnant when it comes to productivity.

Now that you have defined both concepts individually, it would be then easier to combine both into the resultant concept of sales productivity. Because the resultant concept is just the combination of both. By ironing out which aspects of your business you can improve on to maximize productivity, at the same time lowering sales costs on your end, then you can definitely see much improvement for your business in no time at all.

Time is always of the essence, especially in the workplace. Boosting workplace productivity is all about doing the job smartly, maximizing available resources, setting effective and efficient plans and decisions. At first look, productivity may seem like an obvious goal. However, it is not about productivity per se, but on its consensus – getting enough acceptance and agreement on how productivity can be achieved best. When increasing productivity on the job, proper time management is a great tool for establishing credibility in the workplace.

Proper time management is a skill. It entails balancing your priorities, responsibilities and schedules through well-crafted tips and methods. For successful time management, you first need to assess the level and scope of your time management weakness. Start by assessing the overall scope of the problem, looking at the perceptions and consequences for warning signs and clues.

Productivity barriers can be resolved or avoided with information sharing and effective communication. Technology is an essential driver in boosting workplace productivity, which has a significant impact on workers, business objectives, techniques and results.

A barrier to workplace productivity is staff burnout. This is common especially in highly stressful and challenging professions. More often, it may be difficult to get away from the impact of staff burnout. However, there are ways to reduce or even avoid staff burnout. It is important to address this barrier before it's too late.

The use of conference calls can save time spent on non-productive meetings. While a conference call can never completely replace the person-to-person meeting, it has become an important communication tool in today's fast paced work environment.

You can also make use of fast tracking to maximize available project resources. Fast track management is used to make sure that the projects are finished within the shortest possible span of time. "Fast-tracked" projects usually indicate that the tasks have already been arranged to maximize non-dependent tasks occurring simultaneously. This results to a shortened timeline on the overall project. However, there is still more fast-track management than the mere sequencing of activities. To minimize unnecessary operational redundancies, you can use process management.

The process management consists of concepts and theories as well as sizing and estimating. Especially in a highly dynamic work environment, results are usually achieved through spontaneous management methodology. Although this comes with lesser planning and preparation, positive results can actually be achieved as long as it goes alongside the change in requirements and satisfies available resources.

When it comes to project management methodologies, it is important to remember that one size does not fit all, so you should size projects accordingly to suit priorities, complexity and value.

Sizing projects is important when planning and ensuring relevant business plans and activities as well proper allocation and use of resources. However, sizing and estimating efforts should suit the size, value, scope and limitations of the project. Once you will have properly sized projects, you can then proceed to carrying out more productive meetings through value assessments. This ensures that your time is well spent on planning feasible or promising projects.

Who would not want to ensure work productivity in any business? Whether you are managing or operating a business of your own, you would definitely want to ensure productivity in the work place. The good thing about it is that there is indeed something you can do to better the chances of ensuring work productivity. An effective way to do this is actually to implement what is known as strategic leadership.

Just what is strategic leadership? Well, this concept can be self-explanatory on its own. Even when you separate both concepts of strategy and leadership, you would still be able to define both of them clearly. But just so we can come up with a common definition for strategic leadership, it is actually pertaining to one's ability to anticipate, to prepare, and to be better positioned for the future.

Strategic leadership is definitely a concept you have to be familiar with if you want to work environment to be conducive to productivity. And it is definitely a concept that can greatly assist when businesses reach their all-time low. Let us take the hypothetical situation of a merger here. More specifically, let us suppose that a smaller firm has been bought out by a larger one, due to financial setbacks. If you would take a look at the bigger picture, this merger or buy-out can actually help the smaller firm a great deal. But then again, from the point of view of the workers, this is actually a change most would not welcome. This is because they would see the cons of the situation more clearly than the pros. And there would definitely be cons, in the form of retrenchment for some of the employees whose job positions are not really indispensable in nature. Thus, with the onset of retrenchment, there would definitely be a lot of negative vibes in the air, especially for the ones who are still employed in that merger. If you have been appointed to be the interim leader of the remaining employees, what can you do to foster productivity back into the work environment?

Strategic leadership is the key here. Remember that you would not be chosen to become the interim leader, had you not displayed abilities of being a good leader in the first place. Revel in that fact and use that to your advantage. Charisma is actually one important quality leaders typically have, and having charisma would certainly be advantageous in this situation as well. Be initially prepared for whatever tasks are required of you as a leader, and do everything it takes to complete all of them. Being a good example of work ethics and good morale can motivate people to perform better in the work place. By being a great example, you can then be the strategic leader everyone is hoping you to be.

Being a strategic leader, you should also find ways and means to encourage your team members to perform better and more productively. You can offer incentives, for starters. Do not be stingy when it comes to giving praises. Remember to give credit where and when it is due. Motivation is a sure result when you do this. And where there is motivation, there will definitely be work productivity.

    *********************** ARTICLE START ***********************

Productivity varies from market to market and industry to industry. Different industries may share similar productivity measures, but no two have the same set of measures all the way through. In this article you will find several different Market Categories and recommended corresponding productivity measures. One thing should be kept in mind: no matter what market or system is being scrutinized, only one thing is being measured and that is the output. Output can take several different forms it may be the bulk of the items produced or the value of those produced.

If your business is in the manufacturing industry, your productivity measure can include the volume of the product that your are producing. The total number of product you produce in a year may be considered as your productivity level. An example of this is in the furniture business, a small Italian company specializes in the production of baroque style high end chairs. The company manages to sell up to 300,000 chairs in 3 years time, their main markets being hotels and restaurants. When measuring the productivity of the company it would result that they sell an average of 100,000 chairs a year.

Another industry is that of the service industry. This industry can span hotels, restaurants, bars and other service oriented establishments. If your company belongs to this category then your can have as productivity measure the number of client turnovers- it is when new customers arrive and leave in your facility. Since this is a quantitative data, measuring it is easy enough! Another productivity measure here is customer satisfaction. This can be quantified with the aid of customer surveys and questionnaires. The survey forms formulated should have the facility to transform qualitative data into quantitative ones. This is often achieved with the aid of a tabular checklist.

If your company is in sales, you can measure productivity my measuring the sales performance of the entire company or an employee. This can be achieved not by accounting every little object that the clerk has sold but instead calculating the total amount of sales in monetary unit. This makes it much easier to determine how the company fared in sales. An example of this is a salesman in a department store selling barbeque grills; he is not motivated by the number of grills he sells but by the price of the grill. So, don't wonder why he is continually pressing you to get a more expensive model. The man is just trying to improve his sales performance and upgrade his position with the company.

In business, it cannot be avoided that markets trend to mix and blend into one another. If this is the case and you find that you need more than one of the mentioned measures to determine productivity. You can blend productivity measures but, what you have to keep in mind is that you have to see to it that the blended data are compatible with one another and you would not have a hard time in comparing them.

Productivity Metrics are an important part of determining a company's productivity level. Metrics are the units that are to be measured, they are what kilograms are to weighing and miles are to measuring length. Without an accurate assessment of the appropriate Productivity Metric, it then follows that the rest of the productivity analysis are null and void because it would fail to point out the exact data needed by a company. It may even lead a company into false assumption of their current productivity status. Below are a few factors that affect the determination of the appropriate metrics for productivity determination.

The first factor that greatly influences Productivity Metric Determination is always the company's identity. No matter what type of metric system it is, it should always be based on what the company stands for. And what better way to get to know a company's identity than getting familiar with her goals and objectives. It is important to note that one company's goals are always different from the others no matter if they come from a similar background or they are from the same market. It should always follow that a company's performance metrics be custom made for the company alone.

Another factor that helps determine the right kind of productivity metric for a company is the company's size, scope and employee population. The company's size, scope and employee population may not only determine the type of Metric to be used but it can also help determine how detailed a productivity report has to be. If a company is a big one that has multiple departments, it could follow Productivity Determination which will be performed by each department. This way, company heads can get an idea on which department is doing best and which one isn't.

One other factor of Productivity Metric Determination is the budget of the company conducting the Productivity Measurement. It may seem to be of little significance, but the fact is that if a company has a constricted budget allocation, it will affect the depth of investigation. Companies with little to spend will only be able to get a glimpse of the superficial factors that surround productivity.

There are also two different types of Productivity Metrics and those are Quantitative and Qualitative data. Quantitative data are the easiest ones to determine because the can be found as is. Quantitative data are often associated with output and production based markets like that of factories and sales oriented institutions. Qualitative Data on the other hand are more difficult to process because they have to be converted into Numeric data first. The conversion is usually achieved with the aid of several survey tools like questionnaires that help rate customer satisfaction.

No matter what the factors are; no matter what type of metric is being used, the only important thing is that the company gets accurate and adequate data that will help determine their future moves. Productivity Measurement is futile if they are not done properly and may sometimes lead to profit loss because the company was misinformed.

Productivity Metrics are an important determining factor for the success of a company. A positive result from the measurement of the productivity metrics would mean that a company is doing well. An inversely negative one would not sit well with company owners and share holders because they will have to face a company in trouble or in serious danger of going down the drain.

Such reactions to Productivity Metrics Measurement results are the main reasons why it is crucial that the proper type of metric be used for a certain company. Companies themselves may move to create their own sets of productivity metrics and it often is very specific to what they want to determine. However, there is a danger that this may prove inaccurate and produce falls results just because there is a lack of experience in the preparation of such metrics.

That is where professionals and firms who claim expertise in these areas come in. They help companies determine the right kind of metrics for their needs. These paid firms may seem like an angelic solution, but are they truly heaven sent or do they have hidden ills that need to be addressed in order to have a successful set of productivity metrics?

One of the main benefits why companies choose to avail of the aid of productivity metrics developers is the fact that these individuals have the proper amount of experience and that they know what they are doing. They also tend to work fast and companies won't be loosing precious time because the firms act swiftly. Another benefit is that these firms usually provide programs that make productivity determination easier. Another more personal benefit is that these firms are able to provide unbiased data and results because they have no alliances and loyalties other than to company heads who have initiated the metrics development. This way a company can make sure that the result is a factual presentation of the company's productivity rate.

The not so bright side of Aided Productivity Metrics Determination is that it can go over the top with its subjectivity. In this way, employees will not be seen as individuals but will be judge by their amount of output in the period of time being studied. The Subjectivity of it may cause otherwise productive employees who may have only been under some stressful circumstance at the time of determination to be wrongfully judged.

With the data presented, it may seem that companies are given no choice in the matter of choosing. No matter where they lean towards, they will be bombarded with critics. The only solution to such a problem is to employ the assistance of a little bit of both and then you'll see that a balance can be achieved between the two with both parties fully satisfied and justified. That is why companies, who are looking to have their productivity metrics determined by company outsiders, should remember to involve company insiders in the process as much as possible to strike a balance between the objective view and the subjective one.

Article Title: Ensuring Productivity Quality Rather Than Just Simply Being Productive

Productivity is something that all individuals and companies strive for. But, it is not enough to be just productive and to churn out bulks of product without looking into quality control. That is simply irresponsible. Productivity is just one gauge of company and personal success that is why it cannot be the sole factor in determining it. The quality of the product and the services must also be considered to make sure that the consumers are satisfied and keeps on coming back.

There are a lot of benefits into ensuring productivity quality and one of them has been mentioned above and that is customer loyalty. A satisfied customer will keep coming back to the same product or service and may even be a valuable advertising medium, when said customer brings friends and acquaintances to utilize the products.

Another benefit with implementing productivity quality is gaining the ability to command a higher market price. People would still be drawn to your products and would be willing to shell out a little more money just to get a higher quality product or service. A long term benefit of implementing productivity quality is that a company or an institution is bound to flourish with it. When a company has gained the trust of its customers and has created a name for it, then it is considered synonymous with high quality products and services. You can be certain that such a company will enjoy a longer shelf life compared to others who took productivity without first considering quality.

It may seem very tempting to only focus on the productivity level of an individual or a company and not look at the quality of the products, but it may, at some point cause the demise of the business or cause immense negative effects on the individual. One of the most obvious and significant Cons of plainly productivity centric systems is the imminent demise of quality.

If a company's only goal is to produce as much as they can no matter what the quality of the product, then they will eventually suffer loss. Although, producing low quality products at immense amounts may be good for some companies because they can sell these products at ridiculously low prices. They will most definitely have a market in some areas where customers only look for quick fixes and don't expect their purchases to last. If however, if a company is aiming for customer loyalty and trust in their brand, then they most definitely should not focus on the quantity productivity level alone.

When implementing Productivity Quality, the revenue of a company should not suffer. Ways should be found to compensate for the cut backs due to the pressures of quality control. As mentioned above, companies that have high quality products are able to command higher prices for such products and are still able to hold on to their market because of their standards. So, for a company that plans to last long in the market, high productivity quality should always be practiced.
